What an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the ambiance and service. When I asked for guacamole and they were out of avocados, our server came through with an incredible recommendation: a local pumpkin seed appetizer that was unexpectedly delightful. Following her lead, I tried a unique dish – a tortilla with eggs inside (enchilada stle), pumpkin sauce, and a bacon-like meat on top– and it was truly outstanding. Every aspect, from the drinks to the attentive service, was top-notch. Highly recommend asking your server for their favorites!

The handmade tortillas are soft and warm, made right in front of you, and the cochinita pibil is simply extraordinary — tender, smoky, and perfectly seasoned, easily the best you’ll find anywhere. Their cocktails, crafted with local ingredients and tropical touches, are refreshing and full of creativity. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with an authentic Maya atmosphere, open-air spaces, and traditional décor that make you feel connected to the land and its history. The service is friendly and attentive, matching the quality of the food. If you visit Izamal or anywhere in Yucatán, Kinich is a must — a true taste of Mexico’s soul.

The marinated pork shoulder was the best I've ever had. I ate it on it's own - that good. The deer was my least favorite, was still kind of gamey for me and didnt think the nuts and plantain changed much. The Vallodolid sausage and apps were also incredible. Highly recommended.

The food is incredible, a truly unique experience in such a beautiful place like Izamal. This is authentic Yucatecan cuisine at its best. The cochinita pibil panuchos are a must, the service is excellent, and the drinks are absolutely amazing.

We came here to redeem our visit to Izamal after some of our plans there fell through. From the hostess to our server; I have to say that their service was excellent. The reason for my four stars is because I ordered an appetizer as my main since I don’t eat a lot. Unfortunately, the dish was not for me. Everything on the plate was great except for the longaniza itself was so dry and crumbly, I must’ve had three bites and then I was done with my meal. On the other hand, my partner ordered Poc Chuc and the dish was super good. The pork itself was marinated to perfection and the meat was super tender. I would definitely recommend that dish.

Pretty crazy that you can climb up a Mayan pyramid just 10 minutes from the centre of izamal. When we went around 11:30 am on a weekday, we saw 1 or 2 other people but had the place completely to ourselves. The stairs got a little more difficult to climb as you ascend but it doesn’t take long. Remember to bring a hat and wear sunscreen because it’s entirely in the sun.

Invaluable pre-Columbian site, however, kept in poor condition. Overgrown weeds keep two of its sides hidden. It is nonetheless one the few remaining piramides that is open for visitors to climb

Very nice visit. You don’t need tickets to enter the place, and there is no waiting time at all. The place was practically empty when we came. With just a 5 minutes walk you get to the top of the pyramid to get a nice view of the city and the jungle around.

izamal is a wonderful picturesque Pueblo. Right in the city you can walk to the top of an ancient pyramid! Have lunch at Kinich afterward. Always on our list of places to bring our friends

There is an entrance what is gonna close at 4:00 PM but from the back of the Pyramid you have access all the time and its a beautiful view from top .

Definitely worth the climb! You can enter from either side. Thanks to the trees, there's some shade on the upper "platform" for a little rest (not on the very top though). Bring some water!

The weather was on the warmer side, but very much enjoyed my visit here. When you learn the history and see its scale, you get to appreciate it best. Bring water and comfortable shoes for walking. It’s a beautiful view from the top. If you accomplish the climb you will be glad you did it.

This pyramid is walkable just be safe when you reach the top area, some of the stairs are deteriorated and are loose. Beautiful view from the top! Free no charge!

This was a great place to check out and it was free. There was a ton of garbage around the site, and I took my time to clean all of the garbage off around the pyramid. But I still loved the area and all the people around here that live in this city are extremely pleasant and welcoming. I am Buddhist, and although I do not follow the Mayan religion, I prayed at the top of the pyramid to Buddha and also to the Mayan spirits.

Like most pyramids in Izamal, Itzamatul also fell victim to the Spanish/christian treachery that wrecked so much of Mayan culture and it's monuments. It's pretty amazing however, to be able to walk to so many pyramids, still fairly intact, right within a modern city.

We visited the afternoon about 3-4pm on Feb 16, 2021. The gate was locked shut, so I marked this place as temporarily closed. I think it would have been interesting to climb this pirámide and look over the town, but unfortunately we did not have the opportunity.

After a week of traveling through Yucatán, we found one of the best Mexican restaurants, right in the beautiful town of Izamal. The courtyard is picture-perfect, the vegan food is delicious, and the service is very friendly and attentive. You have to try the „Helado de Yaca“! I can highly recommend this restaurant!

Stopped at Los Arcos for lunch on our way to Merida. Great food and fantastic service - the sikilpak with Valladolid sausage was a standout. Alessandro was great at explaining the menu in English, making recommendations and making sure our beers were replenished!

Wow. This yucatecan food is one of the best if’ve ever had. The sikilpak was new for me, definitely worth trying. The queso relleno was definitely our favorite. The yaca ice cream is a must. The waiter, Ivan de Jesus very kind and knows the menu to the detail.

We had a guacamole and a poc chuc to share. The food was good, service was efficient and friendly. The terrace at the back is small and a bit hidden but with fans so it shouldn’t get too hot.

Nice place to eat in. Try to get inside, the surrounding is more beautiful than at the lobby. Guacamole was nice, nachos with pork nice as well, lime soup was so-so. Very nice juice with pineapple and spinach. Good Mexican local food.

We waited about 20 min to be seated. And another 30+ minutes to get our food. This place only have 3 tables at the front door room and another 10 tables at the back, which is a small garden area. I am giving 3 stars for the wait, but I have to say the food was really good, presentation and flavor wise.

Fantastic experience here. We enjoyed drinks and had their nachos. The chef came and shared about his vision for the place and gave local recommendations. The atmosphere was very chill and perfect place to relax after exploring the town.

Free to go into. Beautiful architecture. If you are in Izamal I would definitely go.

Service was slow, friendly staff. Food l didn't like. Cochinita didn't taste good cochinita. Needed more salt and color. Salbutes as well. Portions was good. Horchata was tasty.

I have eaten hear before and had the Conchinita Pibil again this time. So the food was 100 pesos but my two coffee's added 60 pesos and my friend's coke another 15 and suddenly the bill is 175.00 pesos. Conchinita was a little on the dry side this time and last time it was melt in your mouth good. Had to keep sweeping the flies off the food... pesky little critters.

We were disappointed as the food lacked flavour and was dry. Service was average with all plates not being served together. Mine was cold by the time all were served.

Our visit to Muul had wonderful service and average food. Wish there was a rating between average and "very good"---as this truly was "just fine.". Food was all right but no standouts. The view is lovely by the plaza. No complaints about any dishes, but we'd also say nothing was memorable. Very good service, okay food, and just fine for a lunch stop en route to Merida.

Beautiful artesan shop with a restaurant hidden in the back. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Food is very good and prices are reasonable. Rica comida, buen servicio y precios justos. Muy recomendado. Highly recommended

We did not enjoy the food unfortunately. It wasn't super bad but for this price I would expect sth more. The way it was served is superior though. The atmosphere of the place is also worth noting.
