Absolutely my favorite place in Ukraine has so many fun things food hall,roller coaster, shops and SO many other things

Very big place. You can find here everything, every trademark. Food, clothes, decorations, furniture, dinosaurs :), entertainment. There are free buses. Very big parking for more than 5000 cars. It's the biggest shopping mall in Kiev. There are thousands of m2.

Wow! What a mall. This place is huge. I think they have just about any type of store you're looking for. You can spend the entire day here and probably not visit every store. There are several nice dining options from a quick bite to sit down for you to enjoy while you shop. Finally, an amazing indoor amusement park with a roller-coaster! The mall isn't convenient to the center of Kyiv, but it's definitely worth a visit!

Very big, but spacious. Maps are slightly difficult to read and the Auchan and EpiCentre are slightly overwhelming but staff are incredibly helpful. Great selections even has a H&M Home section!

1. Location: This mall is almost beyond the city borders and doesn't offer anything special to cover the distance - you can save up to two hours by just going any other mall. 2. Inside: Half of the space is still empty, rest of the shops are awkwardly located - you can loose about an hour by just walking around because of the stupid navigation!

Free shuttle buses leave 5...10 minutes earlier than scheduled or don't arrive at all. It's very inconvenient

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this botanical garden. However, I could see only plant houses and everything outside is covered under snow. Stated with tropical house having plants of Madagascar and Asia, especially India. I could see here some medical and spice plants. Garden has tall glass house of about 26 meter. There are 2 trees, one gymnosperm and another palm as tall as 26 m. Best among the houses are cactus house with large collection of cactus and succulents. They are proudly say they have more than half of world's cactus. Next is 2 aquatic plant houses, one is circular and another one is rectangular in shape. Although there was not many plants due to winter, in one them about 50 species of insectivores plants were growing. The aquatic plant tank had different depth for different species of plants. Rain water is harvested in to the tank. It was a amazing experience in the botanical garden. Staff are highly knowledgeable and cooperative, but can speak only Ukrainian or Russian, translator is must for others.

Charming botanical garden. Still beautiful any period of the year especially late spring in May when start to blossoming a lot sorts of Sakura trees, Magnolias, Sorbus, spring flowers and shrubs. Pretty sweet scented air makes an unforgettable feeling!)

It's calm place in the city centre. There are many interesting and rare plants, great collection of magnolias stay apart. The best time to visit is the end of April - May, but in summer you can hide from hot sun here, in Fall everything is beautifully yellow-orange-red. Note that there are no kiosks with food/coffee. But you can buy plants here .

Quite place in center of city. Clear, wide pedestrian roads. But the trees are very old. Be careful during windy weather, the tree are falling down. 20.11.2021 have seen old oak falling down. Hopefully nobody hurts.

Nothing to see here, ordinary park and forest in the city center. If it's on your way you can check it out but i don't recommend it normally. Metro station was located on the hill, namely if you come from railway station to metro station, you have to climb the hill inside the park.

Absolutely charming place, especially in autumn! Good to get lost somewhere in the forest there. Also close to University and keep in mind there are a couple of exits, some of them are hidden

Beautiful place in the Kyiv city centre. Adorable on Spring when everything is blossoming. Not much cafe, WC presence.

Very interesting for a foreigner. The complex of St. Michael with the monastery is open to the public and you can attend the liturgy.

If you're staying at the InterContinental, St. Michael's Monastery is literally opposite. But even if you're not staying there, it's worth travelling across the city to see this beautiful religious building with its sky-blue walls, intricate riches and golden domed roof. Inside evokes many emotions through the haze of incense especially if visiting during some prayers / singing / chanting.

It’s really worth visiting here when you’re in the city. On a sunny day the golden roof really is glistening in the sun and the blue walls stand out prominently against the greyness of the surrounding area. Outside the surrounding wall there’s a nice square where you can sit and watch the world go by, including on my visit a photo shoot for a wedding, with loads of impressive and other ornate buildings. There was a number of locals selling stuff outside the entrance in the wall but fortunately they weren’t bothersome at all so don’t let it put you off. Once within the walls there’s a real sense of calm. There’s plenty of benches to sit and a nice walk around the grounds. There’s some other old buildings next to the main cathedral and a small ‘orchard’ which is pleasant in the sun. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to venture inside the main cathedral but despite that it was well worth checking out and it’s no wonder that it’s one of the cities main sights.

The blue walls and golden domes of the exterior are very picturesque. The interior is quite impressive as well, and it is interesting to compare the fresh paintings here with the much older paintings in the nearby St Sophia’s.

Really lovely place to visit. It is free to walk around, however if you want a guided tour or to find out more info there are additional charges to pay for these things. There are plenty of spaces and benches to sit and relax and reflect in these beautiful surroundings. There is a note that states no photography, however everyone there were taking pictures and nobody was approached to stop.

Serene setting in the midst of the city.

I am always amazed every time i visit here. The gold dome is amazing and very impressive, you will see the irony of grace and power. Inside the compound there's an olf church that was preserved too, like the old structure. Located in the nearby tourists spots, and churches as well. Souvenir shops around, but a bit expensive.

Wonderful place.... globes is marvelously located at the center of kreshatik underground... lots of branded shops .. wonderful place... food court and much more .. in summer kreshatik street itself is a beautiful venue

Good variety of shops in the very center of the Kiev. Nice and clean, good atmosphere. You can find here closes, cosmetics, things for a home from Ukrainian and foreign designers. Prices are different. Here you can also find food court, coffee shops and bar. It's a good place to buy something new 😁

Shopping Center globus is under the ground. Two ground floor. You can eat on the ground floor. Buy a different clothes, mobile phones and so on. conveniently located - in the Center of Kiev.

Good mall .. but there is the problem with WC - only one for the whole mall and with specific system of payment. You have to have 3 UAH for WC automatic entrance. If not you have a huge problem because no place to change money. Food court is good.

If you are too greedy to make a free washrooms in your 'luxury' mall in the very city center, at least be so kind to equip your paid WCs with coin-changers! It's shameful & ridiculous! One WC costs 3 UAH, another one - 5 UAH. & All over next to those WCs there're always those blushing & uncomfortable visitors trying to change their 10 or 20 UAH banknotes, to get inside! Shame on the mall management.

Thare are no a lot of big shops, the most popular are Brocard, Mothercare, Mac , Tommy Hilfiger. There us fast food zone , no activities for kids at all. There are 2 Billa's where you can buy products , very suitable for this area in Kyiv.

Its the Ukraine Harrod's but with out the high prices. Security all over the place, very safe and clean. Most of the shop staff sleek English. Bear cheep around 1.50 a pint. All kind of shops restaurant's and a multiplex cinema on the top floor 7 .

Суть в том,что на этаже расположены зонами стойки с одеждой различных брендов и клиент произвольно, и свободно перемещается, отбирая понравившийся товар и примеряя его в примерочных. Оплата на общей кассе. Не нужно остерегаться этот ТЦ, так как наценка тут не больше, чем в других магазинах. На 3 этаже представленны вещи и обувь украинских дизайнеров по той же цене, которую они выставляют на других ресурсах или магазинах. Но ведь тут порой купить одну и ту же вещь в разы приятнее! На 4 этаже спортивная одежда. Но тут уже это отдельные магазины. 5 этаж - детский и домашнего уюта 6 этаж - зона Food. Порой мы сюда заезжает в Мясаторию за сочнейшим бургером или стейком, порой за суши и роллы от Эгельмейстер...или же подымается на 7 этаж и балуем себя уникальными десертами от лучшей кондитерской Киева - Милк бар. Small shopping mall at the heart of Kyiv. Easy access to via metro, taxi or by foot. Brand stores at the same time you can find local brands for the fraction if the price. Food court at the 6th floor and cinema on the 7th. It’s is also a business sender and you have access to gym. Big screen outside that lights all area…

Nice mall and sports complex with the "Square of Stars" (Площа Зірок) on the sidewalk in the square on the northwest side of the mall next to Sportyvna Square. It is stars embedded in the walk, and a unique social and public project that was started in 2015 to popularize Ukrainian culture and recognize the contributions of famous Ukrainians to the country's development.

Big shopping and office building just in the center of the city. Convinient location to combine work and other afterwork tasks. Some well-known shops are present, what I like is 'Silpo' market on the ground floor that is similar to 'Le Silpo' market not far from it (Bessarabska square). I would also prefer Gulliver food area to have a better quality. On the top floor is the cinema 🎥. Parking space is a trouble in that area, but underground station is nearby 🚇

Most of it us opened 24/7. The brands are amazing, you're very likely to find a sale in one or the other brands, and it's in the centre of business centre so getting good view and great food is also on your list. It's on waking distance from the center.

Mr Zuma is the best scam restaurant in Kiev, the 3 dishes in the picture plus 2 drinks and 2 bottles of water costs 150€ ! They will send you also the waitress that doesn’t speak English! That salad with spinach costs 1677 Uah because they count the fish one by one, it’s totally scam ! The funny thing is that the fish was not fresh !

Perfect food and service in a cosy environment with a terrace. Try the Kobe beef and foie gras Gyoza!!! The simple spicy tuna sushi and the Mr Zuma cheesecake!!

Quite disappointed. I visited this place some time ago, it was fun and crowded, but now it changed to worse. Mr.Zuma is in the list of one of the best places in Kyiv where you can have fun and even meet a guy or a girl. Well it's totally not true now, it's empty even in the evening. This is a place which pretends to be luxury and glamour. However now it doesn't corresponds for sure. The furniture is quite old and needs renovation, the chairs are not comfortable, and the menu is very overpriced. The chairs are quite low, and if you wear heels and skirt get ready that your hips will stay lower than you knees 🙂 The positive side, I quite liked the decoration of the dishes, the food was tasty, but not extraordinary.

●●●SCAM ALERT●●● Went to Mr. Zuma for third time. It was my girlfriends favorite restaurant. Service and food was good until we got the bill.. they changed the price for mango juice from 85 to 850 and we were charged 2550 hryvnia for 3 glasses of mango juice!! More than the food!!! When I went outside the gulliver put my girlfriend on taxi and decided to go back they fast closed the doors in front of me. Online I found the scam happens more often!!!! Definatly not what you can expect from such a restaurant.... be carefull and dont go here!!! Proof in pictures!!!

Absolutely incredible restaurant/bar right underneath the Maidan. Stylish design, friendly staff, no non-sense menu... Great local cocktails (no need to be afraid they don't serve the "classics"). Collection of memorabilia of the past several decades decorates the walls.

A unique place with its history. The atmosphere is amazing and very cozy, and the service is just wonderful. If it's your first time, ask for a tour of the place. All that, plus amazing local food, makes it one of the best places to visit in Kyiv.

It is a very unique place with a rich history and philosophy of existence behind. We enjoyed their cheap menu and quite specifically served. You can find a variety of Ukrainian modern cuisine served in very specific dishes. The design is very special and it impresses you leaving you with a lasting impact on what it means to locals. It is kind of difficult to find it being underground, you need to use a lift to get to it and use their password to get access. The password it is written almost everywhere there as a motto. Take a try being in Kiev! You cannot miss this place!

I found this restaurant by accident as it’s kind of hidden. It has an interesting decor and historical items from the revolution. The reception person takes you through the various parts of the restaurant to explain before seating you. The food was very tasty especially the chicken Kiev. The service was very attentive and friendly, and the servers spoke English. A live musician played accordion from 20:00 and that was a nice addition to the meal. I thought prices were very good for the quality of food and service

Cozy place for visiting Kiev first time. Food itself was tasty, so on the whole 5/5 stars. Portion is regular one, not huge nor small 4/5 stars. Surrounding provides loft like feeling, attractive and cozy - 5/5 stars. Service fast, even though dishes could be served for everybody around one table at once 4/5 stars. In total my score is 5 stars for this place.

Great place which was recommended to us by a guide. Good idea, great architecture. Nice gimmicks, don't be put off by the entrance. Staff very friendly, large selection of food and drinks. Very tasty and highly recommended.

Legendary place of the city. Here the Phenomenon is not clear, but having tried it once, many residents and guests of the capital continue to visit this place) Everyone eats perepichka, regardless of social status. For locals, it is a real place for nostalgia.

Awesome place! The only food is sausage inside a dough which is fried, and it is sooo delicious. This place is awesome for a quick bite, and for breakfast. They have coffee and soft drinks too. The food is hot and fresh because it is a popular place and they keep making it. There is almost always a line, but the line moves quick so you won't wait for long. I strongly suggest this place.

It is fast, cheap, and tasty! The oldest fast-food place in Kyiv! Good quality of sausage.

For many locals it is also memories from childhood and youth, and people coming back again and again because taste and quality remains the same for decades. Worth trying if you understand what it is by photo ;)

Service by Alexi was great. I tried the following dishes: Fillet Mignon - was great meat but served with potato only. Grilled vegetables- OK Tom Ka soup - great. Avocado salad - perfect! Cocktail, Japanese sour - perfect! Restaurant a and bar are almost empty, not sure why. Will go there again.

After rebranding interior - different design and atmosphere of what its was before, there is life music , which is +,the rest left a double impression, but for sure buddha bar place for relaxing atmosphere. Would like to bring back that sensual lounge music that was before,that's what were missing.

The best joint in Kiev for having fun and a nice view of the local atmosphere. Live music, lovely dancers and women that look like sculptures. Kiev, thanks for being kind and welcoming.

Same atmosphere , same decoration & concept and same taste in all Buddha Bar. Still one of the most quality place in Kiev. Highly recommend especially Friday and Saturday after midnight.

This is a beautiful place for a family picnic with an atmosphere that helps you disconnect and relax. When you go inside, you hear nothing: none of the city, the cars, just nature. It feels like you’re in a fairytale. Also, there are a lot of incredible photo opportunities. I personally liked it because of the deep silence and the huge variety of plants, trees and flowers. This feeling of inner peace and Zen doesn’t leave you until you leave, regardless of when you visit. I was there several times and each time, I found something new because it’s enormous. This is officially the best garden I have ever been to.

I love this garden, every corner of it is incredibly beautiful - at every time something is blooming there. I will be never tired of visiting it again and again. Also, they've updated the payment system so one can tap a bank card to pay right at the entrance and come in. :) That's so cool!

The park consists of a huge territory with spectacular and diverse landscapes. It offers many thematically designed places, such as a Japanese-style garden, a square, and a terrace for meditation or yoga, shaped like a small Buddhist temple. It is an ideal place for daily workouts or running activities. Additionally, the park's romantic evenings can be beautifully organized on numerous hills or in the charming arbours situated along the criss-crossing roads throughout the park.

Nice green place that is very close to the center of the city (ticket 100 uah). During specific time there are beautiful flowers 💐 and trees blooming as well as musical concerts organized 🎶. Flower orangery is one of places that worth visiting (also opened during winter time, entrance is from the inner yard and costs 50 uah). Different paths can bring to many hills and hidden places. However some places require renovation. From one of hills picturesque view is opened on the city 🏙 and the river Dnipro. It is also next to the orthodox monastery.

Amazingly beautiful garden ... right in the center of the city... Vast area... one needs to walk a lot... but its worth every effort... If you want to see the whole place to your hearts content, it will take you full day... Reach early as parking of vehicles may be a problem once the crowd builds up... At the entrance, there is a separate bus lane... people enter the bus lane by mistake and get caught by the traffic police... so be careful... Entrance ticket is about 60 UAH.... entry free for senior citizens... You can take a good picnic basket with small tent and sheets to put on the grass and spend a few hours lazing around ... Snacks are available inside the campus and so is different merchandise.... It was a great experience for us... every moment spent was worth the effort.

My favorite park in Kyiv. The views of the city are breathtaking from quite a few spots of the garden and the garden itself is an infinite source of joy. It's beautiful almost any time of the year. The entrance fee is rather low considering how many impressions you can get.

Awesome place, large territory and nice people, however the quality is very poor. It looks more like average park, not well made real botanical garden. Almost no landscape design, just old structure, which was here 20 years ago. When there’s a flower season, the plants are put into the most simple shapes, they don’t create any beautiful perspective. Lack of landscape design and arranged picturesque views. Very low quality of roads inside the garden. Grocery points inside the park accept cash only.

One of the most complete displays of artefacts showing the horrors of WWII. A profound, human and terrifying reminder of the dark lurking behind destructive and sadistic totalitarian ideas.

So freaking cool. Even the grounds around this place are beautiful. Plaques explained everything in English and Ukrainian. Apparently you can climb inside the helicopter but it was closed for Corona. ☹️ Lotta sad stories coming out of the conflict near Donetsk. Was very sad to see how many Ukrainian soldiers have died. There's a small exhibit of cars that have come from that region where the recent conflict is and has been. Go and considering paying the entrance fee to the war II area to support best place. Seriously one of the coolest museums.

This sits right outside of the Motherland Monument, with some interesting vehicles, art, and sculptures. Easy to get to, wide open spaces, very inexpensive exhibits, and... Just a really cool place. They did a spectacular job putting this together!

The museum has got some renovations and looks a bit better than before. Some people say you can enter the head of the Mother Motherland monument and from there you can see amazing views of Kyiv, but I never have been there. Need to try it ones.

Great experience to visit this place. Brings the great european wars to life. Good place to visit with kids and family. Car parking is available. Quite a bit of walking will be required. This place is wheelchair friendly. If you love military photogtaphy this is the place to take ur camera to. Tanks, planes and soldier status can be foubd here. Most of the meuseum is open air so be watchful of the weather. Good for a couple of hours visit.

The best part of the museum was the indoor section where you need to pay in order to enter. There was a very moving exhibition about the war in Crimea (didn't take pictures because it was some kind of disrespectful) and also the permanent exhibition about II World War (Eastern Europe). I am not very fond of War museums but it is always worthy since there is always something new to learn. The only disadvantage was that not all written explanations are provided in English so you have to do your own research if you want to go deeper in knowledge. After paying the entrance make sure you go downstairs to leave your belongings, otherwise it is not possible to enter the museum.

One of the largest museums in Ukraine it houses plenty of exhibits from the Second World War. Outside exhibition is huge and full of Soviet mechanization from tanks to artillery pieces and from planes to helicopters. Inside museum if concentrated on details and personal items from soldiers.

The Motherland Monument in Kiev is a monumental sculpture that is the central object of the memorial complex of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II. The unique statue, which rises on the Pecherskaya Hills on the right bank of the Dnieper River, is viewed from almost anywhere in the city. It became the calling card of modern Kiev and was among the ten highest monuments of the planet. The grand opening of the Motherland in the entire museum complex took place on May 9, 1981. General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party L. Brezhnev took direct part in the ceremony. The height of the Motherland monument is 62 meters. The height of the cone pedestal is 40 meters. The all-welded statue weighs almost 500 tons. The main frame is 20 meters deep.The size of the shield is 8 meters by 12 meters. The height of the sword is 16 meters. The structure has two elevators – an inclined angle of 75 degrees and a vertical elevator terminating at the head of the statue. They are used to lift visitors to observation decks, but above all for the maintenance of the Motherland.Another must visit if you are in Kyiv. The Motherland Monument towers over the city and really is a symbol of independence / resistance that many Ukrainians are proud of. The park around the monument of free of charge to walk around and is very well kept. There are also a number of tanks on display , and for a small fee you can pay to visit the WWII museum next to the park. I am told the museum is very interesting but was closed during our visit due to the air raid siren going off.Standing proudly over the Kiev skyline is the 340-foot tall, stainless steel Soviet Mother Motherland statue. Originally intended to be even taller, the sword of the statue was cut because it was higher than the cross of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra - renowned Orthodox Christian Monastery. She ranks 18th on the list of the world’s tallest statues and for example a bit of comparison, The Statue of Liberty ranks about 42nd.

Amazing museum. Loved everything, history, people! It wasn't busy due to the weather, but lady guide there was so nice and walked me through, telling stories of the people. Just loved it. One of the key experiences visiting Ukraine!

Very cool place. Very somber. The museum and monument are done perfectly, impeccable, lots of extremely interesting facts and items from WW2, all the way up to the conflict in Crimea. This is definitely a worthwhile stop. You must go to the top of the monument!

The most amazing place in Kiev. It's a must visit destination in a traveller's list if he's visiting Kiev. The place is very well built and it displays all the war materials used in World Wars, it's just amazing and can only be felt not described. It has many more nearby tourist places which can be visited by walk or by bus.

This museum could be called the house of Europe's "Statue of Liberty". A huge and beautiful statue locates the entry of the museum. At the entry you could think it's not as big as it really is. It covers all of Kiev struggle during WWII with a lot of objects from that era. When I was there the balcony was closed so I couldn't get to see the statue at the bottom, but it was definitely worth it, and the last room with the fotos and the objects of the fallen during the war makes a real impact in you. Despite this the museum shows is age and everything it's in ukranian. So it's not that prepared to welcome tourists, although it's a must in Kyiv.

Huge (23rd tallest statue in the world) monument overlooking Kiev. Great views across the city from the area. It's part of the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. I didn't visit the museum itself, was short on time, but there are plenty of exhibits to see outside which you don't have to pay to see. Also some big statues at the base and a tank painted in the Ukrainian national colours.

Very interesting restaurant! I love the traditional costumes and the cottage-y interiors and crafts, a wonderful way to see the culture on a different time. I do agree the prices of food are higher, but it was winter, and the place was alive and cheerful. The borscht was very good and the grilled veal was excellent! The waiter recommended chicken Kiev, but it was so-so. Sadly, i had it in front of me and didn't want to waste it. If i have to go back, I'lll try the grilled meats because they're excellent, whether pork, fish, veal, or beef. I'd love local vegetable dishes, too. Cheers to the staff for being game and friendly!

This place was known as a tourist trap but I think it has changed for the better. It is still pricier than similar restaurants in Kyiv, but the food quality has improved. So if you are OK with overpaying for the dishes the location itself is pretty nice, especially the country-style summer terrace.

Great ambiance, it was an honor to visit Kyiv despite difficult circumstances and we were welcomed and delighted by the staff, live band of musicians and enthusiastic patrons. My only regret was that I was enjoying myself too much to be able to paint a more accurate depiction of the scene in the moment! Thank you

Taste of Ukrainian culture is right here! 😍 If you want to sit outside in a nice garden you must do a reservation. Since we didn’t have reservation, we sat inside and it was still beautifully decorated with traditional Ukrainian items😍 Vareniki and eggplant roles were top favorite 😍

The place is beautiful and nice it has nice music but .. it’s a tourist trap. The waiters were really pushy, they didn’t want to explain how the menu work. They just repeat the same all the time. We asked before to order at all, to split the bill. We were one couple and one single person. They said it’s not possible and it’s lots of trouble I’m a rude way almost inviting us to leave if we don’t want to stay. Whenever you order your main they ask if you want potatoes or vegetable. Careful they are not included. Nice food though.

Authentic food, huge place, friendly staff, food is great, taste and freshness are top. Prices higher than in normal kiev restaurants but still quite affordable for tourists. Interior is authentic. They also have traditional live music. Altough it is impossible to understand the songs without speaking the language, the atmosphere is great!

I loved this restaurant. Very delicious food, friendly staff, fast service, variety of Ukrainian food. Inside of the restaurant and the clothes of the staff are traditional as well. The prices are reasonable (expect to pay around 25€). We were 4 people, we had starters, lots of beers and main dish for 700 UA each. Definitely try.

Tasty Italian restaurent in the heart of Kyiv serving great steak, piazza and respectable desserts. Thre mushroom pizza was delicious and the ribeye steak was amazing, well cooked and a generous portion. The sides were also very well cooked with a good eye for presentation. Finally the desserts were well prepared, tasted good and well presented. I especially liked the homage dark chocolate Italian ice cream coated with little fine crushed chocolate for extra texture and crunch. Well done!!

Good spot for breakfast, lunch or maybe even a dinner. Stuff is very friendly. 💲Prices are very affordable! For most people portion sizes will be sufficient. But, if you need more and you order two dishes price will still be around average for the whole meal. 🍳Food is good.

The food was delicious! However, I couldn't make any adjustments to my salad whatsoever. I asked to remove quinoa from it and add more tomatoes instead, and the response I got was "they won't put more tomatoes". I asked if quinoa can be replaced with anything else in my salad, and the answer was "no". That's the first time I experience anything like this with a dish like veggie salad ☹️ But the food was good. Service 3/10

Delicious breakfast and very cosy place for casual visiting

Amazing food! Fresh oysters every time I've been there. Even some of the seafood places that are much more expensive serve some terrible oysters sometimes. But not this place. Their ribeye is amazing and goes very well with grilled corn. It's my go to place if I can't decide where to go for dinner.

A lot can be said about this place, but it is better to come and see everything yourself. It is difficult for me to imagine where else in the world there are so many historical buildings, caves, museums, icons in one territory. And indeed the place that is full of history. Just go to the free part, if you like it, you can come on Sunday and get into the "museum" part for free too.

This is an amazing site to discover in Kyiv. Visit the church, see the mirror egg outside. The outstanding architecture. You need to visit this as travellers. It's a must and less than $5 to visit. On my visit there was some coffee machine outside, was very tasteful.

I visited just before the start of war, so my review is based on my experience at that time. A beautiful and historic monument in Kyiv. Arguably the centre of the Slavic Orthodox religion. I wish to visit again when things are back to normal.

Beautiful place!!! Lots to see so make sure you have plenty of time. The bell tower is a little bit of a workout but completely worth it. The architecture, artwork, grounds and history is quite amazing.

It’s not really “free” to enter but 100 UAH to pay. But of course it’s worth paying the amount as you’ll get to see amazing monastery with so many beautiful ornaments around. Do not miss the viewpoint as you’ll be able to see nice view under the river and to the war museum down south.

Amazingly beautiful. Worth visiting when in Kyiv and if you have a good day to dedicate. Not only the church but Monastery is full of beautiful holy places and micro environments, quite relaxing for visitors.

Very poignant place to remember and reflect. The views from this area over the city are spectacular! Well woth a visit, especially as the sun is setting and the heat is getting lower. Should be on any tourists itinerary.

Amazing situated near a big Park of the grand Castle and the stadium of football where the Euro Cup was held and near the Lavra ... you can feel the glory of this place and how much the ukrainian people appreciate at each moment their heroes and hand them the eternal glory throughout an eternal lit Flame ... the names are all engraved all is clean none is neglected ... wow magnificient .

Very well kept and currently construction going on to improve areas off the park. A very touching place in tribute to those off World War. Also to horror off the genocide. Amazing views also to be had.

The Museum its awesome. It's extremely exciting and it's great to know a little more about this very important part of Ukrainian history.

There are many places for the rest in this park and wonderful views on the horizon, on the river Dnipro, on the city. This park is in 5 min to walk from metro Arsenalna.

The Kyiv Funicular was a great experience! It didn’t take much time to enter, and everything was well-organized. The ride was smooth, and the funicular was very clean. The best part was the amazing view as it went up. You can take great photos, especially if you stand next to the window facing the river—the scenery is stunning! When you arrive at the top, there is a board displaying the history of the funicular, which is interesting to read. The area also has a big park where you can walk and visit beautiful churches. Along the way, artists and painters perform live, adding a vibrant and energetic atmosphere to the experience. It’s a must-visit spot in Kyiv!

Small and cramp a bit with too many people, it's more public transportation than a tourist attraction. There isn't A/C in case you wonder. Cute thing though. There is a small café with sandwiches and bevs at the bottom and at the top the park with a huge playground, kiosks and a public restroom.

The 1905 wooden cars still have their original brass fittings, polished daily. Mechanics maintain the counterbalance system using ledgers from the 1920s. At the midpoint, look for the hidden stairway used by engineers during the 1941 siege.

This is a very ornate station and a really easy way up the hill, so if you're passing it's worth popping in and having a look even if you aren't going up the hill. I've added a couple of views of the waterfront area across the road opposite and if you head left at the top station there is a lovely park with more great views over the river

It is a beautiful landmark of Kyiv, but it is rather treated (I guess) by municipal government as a part of municipal transport. So it gives a feeling of a mean of local transportation rather than a historical artefact. What I mean by that: shabby appearance, inconvenient access - and no chance for wheelchairs to get in, for strollers maybe, but more than one adult is needed to entertain that, no barriers or even marked borders to indicate the attention zone - I wonder if they have people falling on the rails regularly with such pushy crowds. There is a small writing on the history of the funicular and an installation to recreate a view on it as it used to be in the past with a tram rails at Podil. Price is 8 hryvna per ride (as a bus or a metro ride in the city); it goes up and down every 10 minutes or so.

Awesome point if attraction and the most convenient way to get on the hill front Podol. Pretty frequent but beware of weekends: too many people want to ride it

Funicular can be used in city tour as a mean of getting from uppertown ( Mykhaylivskyi Monastery) to Podil or visa versa. There are only two stops, ride is very short but the view is picturesque so make sure to sit next to a window to make pictures and video. Tickets are available straight on spot and are very cheap.

Superb opera house located in the heart of the city. I saw 2 shows here. Beautiful performances. Deane lake bake was the best. Elegantly decorated inside the hall, nice stage and soothing music. Prices for seats are different. People love opera and bale, just they are crazy for it.

I saw an amazing performance: the ballet "Chasing After two Hares"/"За Двома Зайцями." It was every bit as good as anything you'd see in New York or London, and GOOD seats were only 500 grivna each (around $15). And the venue itself is great. I highly recommend going to a performance there.

Lovely building bought cheap ticket in the top balcony around £4 pounds just to get into the building and see from inside also ballet as well but expected that from 4th floor maybe won't see anything but actually view was not bad at all, would highly recommend.

I always love such places. here you can even feel part of the history of Ukraine. A place almost untouched by modern civilization. The interior, the materials used, it's all something real! To the right of the theater there was even still stay a road along which carriages used to go to performances. Slava Ukraini.

Fantastic performances in a beautiful historic concert hall. The ticket prices were more than reasonable. There were performances scheduled for every night. The acoustics of the concert hall were very good. The sets, the orchestra, the performers, the costumes were all excellent. Any visit to Kiev should include a night at the Opera.

Gold leaf in the auditorium was reapplied using 19th-century techniques during restoration. The crystal chandeliers' weight required special reinforcement of the ceiling beams. Backstage, markings on the floor show where sets have been positioned for decades.

I travel a lot so I've seen many beautiful cathedrals. But still St. Sofia impressed me to the bottom of my heart. Amazing antient place with gorgeous wall-paintings.

Tramendous historical place to visit, built in the 11th century. Several buildings with excibitions and fresco on the religious topics. I would advise to explore it with the guided tour and buy souvenirs. As I was born in this city, I have visited it many times. Attached are 2 old historical photos that I liked and my photos :)

What an historic and sacred place... one of the greatest historical monuments in the word .. the inside of the church is restored and protected as hundreds if years ago .. also the remains of tomb of the king and all other things and the bell and museum and bread factory and all are very interesting

Great atmosphere, great views, excellent food, and the staff was incredible. Went for a date, and was truly impressed. While it was somewhat expensive, it was certainly not overly-priced considering the level of services and overall quality. If you're looking for an upper-scale dining experience in Kyiv, this is a must-see.

The rooftop is definitely the highlight—the view is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s the ideal spot to spend a sunny, warm afternoon with friends or just unwind solo. The cocktails are super tasty and well-made, and the service has always been friendly and attentive. It’s one of those places that instantly puts you in a good mood. The ambiance is very nice and the view is great if you are sitting right on the entrance. Waiters were very professional, sweet and helpful & in line with the hygiene requirements. The carpaccio could be better (it was okay for its price) it had a gummy bear feel to it. The Burrata could also be classified as an “okay” since it was a bit soaked with the tomato’s juice but the plate itself went amazing with the bread they brought. Bread and butter were served only when we asked for them which wasn’t very “fine dine” of them. Goat Cheese Salad was great I loved the plate, very rich and tasty. The cocktails were absolutely fire. The dessert was out of this world! It was a delight; super tasty, sweet and intense…

A very nice cocktail bar and restaurant. It certainly stands in the top list of attractive and trendy bars in Kyiv. Here you enjoy a great view of the city while you're having your favorite meal or drink. Special cocktails and drinks are of course the highlight of the menu, but slightly overpriced. Well, it is the rooftop view. Service is great, prompt, but not yet excellent. Bartenders performing and waiters keep up with clients. Very clean, easy accessible. I would come back and I would recommend. Worth trying when in Kyiv.

My favourite! One of my favourite restaurant! Located at 11 Mirrors Design Hotel which is also one of the best, the smell on a entrance just magnetising me!) Their steaks was delicious. It had good fat content and meat was juicy. We liked their beer. Pricing is per 100 grams. It means if you would like to have 300 grams steak you should pay 3 times the amount. This may confuse you. On the other hand, the waitres' uniforms didn't have to sexy. This situation was not suit for target customer base becuse of here was not strip club.

The food was good and the prices are not high. However, in Burger I found small stones that could easily chip a tooth. The lady tried to convince me that it was grilled coal, but coal can be chewed and I know what stones look like. Of course, the lady offered a 10% discount and lemonade. But if I chipped a tooth, it wouldn't be enough.

Everything was perfect. Employees are friendly and fast. Also very beautiful girls. Especially the food is great. Beers are very good. Prices are affordable. I recommend adding it to your list of places to visit. If you want to be photographed, they don't turn you down. It's a fun venue.

Nice friendly vibe, probably the friendliest staff we came across in Kiev. Food was great and served pretty quickly, they advised of a wait in the time it would take in preparing my wife's meal, and also advised on the true cost of a steak when I hadn't noticed that the menu price was per 100g. The best place we ate at in Kiev. 4 stars due to the outfits the girls were wearing. I'm no prude but I didn't see the need for hot pants, the place is good enough without the need for such a gimmick.

A must go to! I was looking for a good steak and found a great steak! Beer is good, house brew only. The best steak I have ever had. I had to go again to make sure my taste buds haven't fooled me.

Service was amazing, everyone was super nice and friendly. The fried cheese appetizer I got was tasty, but as soon a I cut into the steak I started to smell a rancid odor. I soon realized after tasting the steak that the meat was clearly spoiled. I proceeded to pay my bill and leave the restaurant. I’m not one to usually give bad google reviews but someone will get sick if the kitchen keeps serving bad steak.

Ordered sirloin and porterhouse, med/rare from, as stated in menu, marble beef. Cooking degree was okay, meat was not, porterhouse was acceptable but full of tendons, which is not what I'd expect from marble meat. Sirloin was barely eatable, hard as a sole and blund knives only added to the problem. The place offered free icecream, which was not good at all, with lots of ice crystals and melted whipped cream like if it was awaiting to be served for too long. We were offered a discount card with 20% off on it, but neglected - the check had a compulsory pre-added service fee of 10% in it and I hate restaurants which have such a trick in their policies. It never helps the quality.

You may consider it as perfect street food. It's a fun, tasty, and fast way to have soup. There are at least four or even more tastes, and you can add tomatoes or parmesan to your soup as well. Highly recommended!

The soup is super awesome, definitely recommend it to all of my friends. Besides that, all of the soups are vegetarian, so I like it even more. In addition, the waiters are always kind and smiling. I fond of this place a lot.

Mushroom soup and lentil soup are both excellent. Word of warning drink the soups within 5 minutes before the bottom collapses......

Very unique place! Would expect to find a place like this in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA--very 'hipster'. Everything that we ordered was delicious and the service was very attentive. Definitely recommend! (As a plus for foreigners, almost all food dishes have photos in the menu and are listed in English as well as Ukrainian and Russian).

If you want to see an interesting menu, have some deserts and drinks with your friends and enjoy some good service - this is definitely the place to go in Kiev. You might forget the taste of the dishes, but you'll always remember the menu! As for the main dishes, it was nothing to brag home about.

The best Ukrainian food I had in Kiev. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it. Service is great and waiters are very helpful, but a bit slow . It took almost 30 min to get my food. So be patient.

Great food with affordable prices. They have both traditional and new styles of Ukrainian food. You enter through an alley and down stairs where you are greeted with a welcome drink. Casual and comfortable seating that is slightly more formal than many other restaurants in Kiev. English menu was very easy to read and for the most part well translated. Wait staff speak English, Ukrainian, Russian, and possibly more.

Amazing local food with chefs touch. Great choice of cocktails and Ukrainian nalivkas. Friendly and very professional service. Will definitely come back.

Please do not trust the number of good reviews for this place. The food was awful. Not a single dish was even mediocre. The potato pancakes were starchy and bland. Actually the stuffed cabbage leaves were not bad but they were not close to being good either. The dumplings were disgusting. One of them were extremely salty and the other ones we are still trying to figure out what was inside them. Both of them arrived almost cold. Then we had the mini chicken Kiev which was a very confused dish in a bowl with egg pasta, tomato sauce and basil. One of the worst meals we've had in a long time.

Awesome awesome place! The interior is very cozy and every group has its own place. The service is very good and the food... oh the food!!! You have many dishes with very cool twists and the food itself is very good. Go visit this place! You won't regret it!!!
