What an authentic and special place! You can really get a touch of Crimean culture here. The food is very good and the service is great! Note that there is no alcohol but the restaurant allows you to bring your alcohol absolutely for free. Just one of the peculiarities of this spot. Nevertheless the food is very tasty. Didn’t really like the lamb chops though, was a bit chewy. But the rest was good.

A very welcoming cafe. This is a bright representative of the family of restaurants serving homemade traditional Crimean Tatar cuisine. This is not the first time I have been visiting. They make me happy every time. The prices are very reasonable. The dishes are always fresh and tasty. They cook quickly. There are always a lot of visitors here. The staff is friendly and professional. The service is fast and attentive. I recommend the grilled meat menu, soup with small dumplings, manti, chebureki.

Amazing Tatar cuisine, a MUST while in Kyiv (I came twice)

Very fine and tasty qirim tatar cuisine. Fast and friendly service. Fresh Ingredients, nicely balanced spices. Perfect place to drop by for a cup of coffee and a dessert, to have a full meal or even to celebrate your birthday.

Nice cozy restaurant with live music. And most importantly, delicious food! My parents and I tried several types of soups, yantyki and bahwala. And also very tasty hummus and tortilla. I think I will definitely come here again to try other dishes❤️

Actually good. We tried Kiev chicken and grilled beef, some tomato salad and herring... Bill came at nearly 1000 hrn, so probably not super affordable, but... Location is nice, the place itself is very nice, service is good, and the bill itself felt kind of reasonable, not shocking, as sometimes is the case here... If you have tourist guests and need to take them to a place with good Ukrainian food, this one might be it. I would probably like more simple Ukrainian dishes on the menu, like the chicken Kiev was, but overall good.

Superb food with great playfulness (try the edible candles). Service is great with staff speaking good English. Live music increases the atmosphere in the already beautiful place, but if you want to talk, get a table in the charming side room. Costs more than most places in town, but well worth it.

My favourite restaurant in Kiev! I went here twice, and both times the meal was incredible and the service was so accommodating, nice and attentive. Can highly recommend the root salad (it doesn't sound like much but it is incredible and the cheese topping makes for a smoky show), and cherry dumplings for dessert!

I've chosen the place because of its good recommendations. First, the place is good, but not that great as lots of people write. Overall, it's a good place for Ukrainian food, and maybe other dishes are much better than the ones I had. The Kraut Vareniky were the best dish I ordered, very recommendable. The rest was nothing special.

I can definitely say that it is one of the best lamb meats I have ever eaten. The fact that it is crispy on the outside and cooked very well must be a separate skill. Apart from this, the rabbit meat borsch soup was also very successful. CiHo served as dessert is very light and delicious. a place that deserves a lot of thanks

Great service and lovely ambiance. Feels very cozy and romantic as if you are in a mountain cabin (Schalet). I had a glass of the Portugal red wine. Although it priced lowest, it was surprisingly smooth and slightly sweet (similar to Georgian wine). I loved it. Food was overall good. Not the most creative but all flavored well. A basket of bread was only 19 UAH and served nicely warm. Highly recommend it.

The location of this restaurant is very impressive securing wonderful day and night time views of Kyiv. This high-class restaurant promises impressive dishes of exotic selections. I had duck breast with roasted pears and pumpkin sauce. My partner had scallops with fish and our company had shrimps and their signature desert. One drawback is the size of their portions which won’t satisfy you if you’re hungry.

Arguably one of the best, most convenient, fastest and value-for-money places to get Ukrainian food. The buffet-style ordering can maybe be a little intimidating for foreigners nervous about their local language skills but went with someone local so it wasn't an issue - customer service is almost always great in Ukraine if you need help anyways. Went twice in one week and would happily have gone a third.

Four years since I last came to Puzata Hata — and the food is still delicious, the place spotless, and the atmosphere lovely. Definitely recommend!

The food is alright. I've been to Pusata Hata in Lviv, and it was so much better. And I really don't like the portion sizes, they are way too big, I wish you could choose your own amount of food. But it's still convenient since it's very close to the train station

At this moment, this is a new location. Hence the dishes, cutlery and furniture are all nice and new. The food quality is consistent with all other locations. I come here often for no frills food, good flavour and awesome value.

Very unique place! Would expect to find a place like this in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA--very 'hipster'. Everything that we ordered was delicious and the service was very attentive. Definitely recommend! (As a plus for foreigners, almost all food dishes have photos in the menu and are listed in English as well as Ukrainian and Russian).

If you want to see an interesting menu, have some deserts and drinks with your friends and enjoy some good service - this is definitely the place to go in Kiev. You might forget the taste of the dishes, but you'll always remember the menu! As for the main dishes, it was nothing to brag home about.

The best Ukrainian food I had in Kiev. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it. Service is great and waiters are very helpful, but a bit slow . It took almost 30 min to get my food. So be patient.

Great food with affordable prices. They have both traditional and new styles of Ukrainian food. You enter through an alley and down stairs where you are greeted with a welcome drink. Casual and comfortable seating that is slightly more formal than many other restaurants in Kiev. English menu was very easy to read and for the most part well translated. Wait staff speak English, Ukrainian, Russian, and possibly more.

Please do not trust the number of good reviews for this place. The food was awful. Not a single dish was even mediocre. The potato pancakes were starchy and bland. Actually the stuffed cabbage leaves were not bad but they were not close to being good either. The dumplings were disgusting. One of them were extremely salty and the other ones we are still trying to figure out what was inside them. Both of them arrived almost cold. Then we had the mini chicken Kiev which was a very confused dish in a bowl with egg pasta, tomato sauce and basil. One of the worst meals we've had in a long time.

The pizzas were great, oven baked and incredibly delicious, greasy, fresh vegetables and thin with huge crust. Tortellini soup was also good but the portion was a bit small but was delicious. The dessert flopped slightly because the Panna Cotta was alcohol free and the consistency was off & the Padova was made of meringue which I did not like at all.

Facing the Golden Gate, the entrance of the restaurant opens into a vestibule, which splits into two dining areas, each featuring its own bar.  This unique layout contributes to an intriguing dining experience.  I visited the restaurant twice—once for lunch and once for dinner—and found it pleasantly uncrowded both times.  Normally, I enjoy a quiet meal, but the combination of dim lighting and dark wooden furniture, reminiscent of an old English pub, cast a somewhat somber mood.  Nevertheless, the service and food were good.

a now historic restaurant in Kiev that I used to frequent when I lived in those parts, for work, and that I found and tried again with pleasure in the summer of 2020. high quality cuisine and dishes that respect ancient traditions of some Italian regions. a place that I have in my heart and that I hope to be able to find again as soon as these bad times end

This restaurant definitely deserves the good reviews it has on here. The service was brilliant, the food was freshly cooked and especially the pasta was fabulous. Sitting right next to the golden gate just tops it off overall. Definitely a recommendation!

We won’t be coming back. In a place that calls itself high-end, I was asked if I could pay for the wine I had just ordered — as if I’d need approval before drinking it. That kind of question is not just offensive, it’s humiliating. If I ordered it, I can pay for it. Don’t treat your guests like beggars. Totally unacceptable.

Good place for drink or evening time with friends. Specially in the summer. Nice terrace with beautiful view, service is fine and they do have shisha. The prices though are quite high for Ukraine, food is basic for this price but you would expect something really special. I would recommend management to look into this

It’s a good place for a drink, hookah and dinner. Service is very fast, personnel is respectful and polite. If you want to change anything in your meal, starting from the portion size to adding/cutting out ingredients 👍🏻 Each table is equipped with a ‘call button’ if you ask for a waiter, it’s very comfortable. Food is really tasty and pleasant. I, personally, recommend sushi 🍣 here! And cocktails 🍹 Prices are not low, be ready to pay 150€+ per 2 people for a good dinner with drinks. Restaurant works 24/7, which makes it very special ✅❤️ Tip for shisha (hookah) lovers: they always ask you if you want it served in a fruit 🍍 bowl, explaining that the taste is better. It’s not necessary, in my opinion. It costs twice or three times more than a classic one, but brings no difference. And yes, always check the bill 💸 they often have surprises

It's a great place, with great dishes and portions. Still, I think that the prices are just too high. You can have the same dishes in an another restaurant for 2 times less. The interior is beautiful and impressive. We paid approximately 60€ for three persons, that's not cheap at all for Kiev.

The terrace at their 6th floor is very nice, the staffs are very friendly and neat. The food is pricey but it was good, the prices are above average and I think it’s outrageous.

Good choice of food. The only issue is it has a very heavy smoke feeling, people smoke shish-a everywhere. Since I dont smoke, it was kinda hard to stay there. Overall great experience, good service!

The place is located in the center of Kyiv, right across from the Khreschatyk Hotel, not far from Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti). Their burgers are actually pretty good, with very tasty and juicy meat. I wouldn’t say it’s a spot I’d visit all the time, but if you’re in the city center and craving a burger, it’s definitely a place you can happily drop by.

We dropped by for lunch. We chose burgers, and that was a good choice. The burgers were delicious. The service was very good and friendly. I can also add that the toilets were clean.

This place is so damn delicious and cheap. For 6-7 euros you have a glorious burguer. Potatoes and nuggets are also insane. To add more, they give you globes to not get dirty. High quality at low Price :) (btw im from Spain)

We came here for a business dinner with ~10 people. A very nice classy restaurant. Not too loud, you can comfortably talk. Service was quite fast, staff speaks English (at least to some extent), food is very good quality. Cheese plate with truffle honey and a board of mozzarella were especially amazing.

Very Vero is a well attended Italian Restaurant. One in a family of other decent Italian and international ones. With a food&wine cheque may exceed $100, it is expensive and has a respectful visitors. Everything is very well served and prepared. Very decent wine selection as well as digestives and other spirits; not a vast choice, but you get mid to top selection. Still it is good for occasional visit and for groups of ten.

Elegant place with nice atmosphere and ambiance. Excellent choice of wines, great service and really tasty Italian and Mediterranean dishes. We ordered fish, quail and calf tongue with vegetables and every dish was a masterpiece. On top you will get extremely tasty home made cantuccini! Highly recommended place

Many dogs on the walls in the funny role. Delicious hogdogs, but dear, if a lot of filling, it is not clear how to eat them. Dear cocktails. It's cool that the movies are shown in the specified time. Many waiters and tables. An expensive place, but still there is a demand.

Amazing spot for cocktails and a bite. The service is always excellent and the staff is knowledgeable and attentive. They won't go too far off menu but their house creations and knowledge of classics and modern sips is wide enough to find you something suitable. The food is outstanding. The salads are excellent and the hotdog creations are super cool. They have vegetarian(vegie dogs) options as well. These guys really do an awesome job when it comes to atmosphere. The music is cool, the vibe is laid-back, and they prep to bring you cool events. Sunday's are movie days. They have a projector set up and offer popcorn all day long playing classic films. They also do special events for halloween, Valentine's, etc.. Add this to your must-visit places in Kiev. Dogs & Tails never fails to impress.

It's been a year since I've had the pleasure of dining here, and I still talk about it all the time. Absolutely on par with the best Italian you'll find in the world, even Italy. The Bruschetta is phenomenal -- my favorite dish from anywhere, ever. The food was clearly made with love and perfection in mind. And the staff are fantastic people. They treated me with warmth and kindness. I will be back!

In my opinion Piccolono is the best Italian restaurant in Kyiv. We had my birthday celebration here and everything was EXCELLENT! The food was fantastic, the service was obliging, the atmosphere was amazing. Highly recommend this place and we will be back for sure.

La Familia net restaurant. Very calm, friendly and family place. Very similar restaurant to their net as Bigoli on Klovskyi descent 7a, but the dishes are different. You can find here very delicious octopus and pasta. Soups are very similar. Salads are different, not big choice but each of them is very tasty. Olives and tapas are great choice. And special star goes to vine card. You can find here very special and rare vines. Great place for fear price.

Best raw vegan restaurant in my experience, and even if I like cooking and often get better results than some restaurant, here is a serious menu from real restauration, everything I hope for for years. Probably one of the best raw food restaurants I've been to. Definitely top 5. Had the guacamole pizza, the Ukrainian Borscht and the Banoff cake. All the dishes were marvelous. Will definitely be coming back. My wife had the salami burger which I stole a piece of. Also very delicious. 👍

I had never had raw vegan food until I ate here, we visited twice during our trip to Kyiv. They have a wide menu and they also have ones written in English which was a big help. Some dishes were better than others but I would definitely recommend the thali and the cheese platter.

A very interesting establishment. First time I tried this kind of food. Ice cream is not cow's milk and cream. Very tasty like a high quality ice cream made in the traditional way. But everything is made on the basis of coconut milk! 👍😄 I recommend. The room is not big inside. There is also a veranda near the entrance to the street. This vegan cafe is not designed for long gatherings. Fast food buffet system. Surprisingly, there are many guests here on Sunday evening (17.00-19.00). Meat burger based on vegetable protein! Great taste. Indistinguishable from a regular meat burger. I recommend this buffet.

I was so excited to go to this place and see a menu full of vegan stuff for a fair price. Saying I was disappointed is an understatement. This unappetizing food is their “Buddha bowl”. Cold, soggy, not fresh and very salty. Also had a burger which tasted fine but was cold away. Do not recommend.

The girl that works there is so nice and smiley, she speaks English very well which is a rare thing in kiev, I got the bacon burger (soy steak topped with grilled tofu and vegetables), it was amazing! Every thing was Fast, warm, tasty and healthy.. the bun was soft also. I really liked that they have all the nutrients and calories written on the menu for each meal.. it was the best vegan soy steak I've ever had! I tried the falafel also it was good but a bit dry. And the orange juice was so fresh and tasty. One of the best vegan fast food you can get out there. The place might be hard for foreigners to find but you just have to find the entrance to the market inside. It is NOT immediately outside the subway or the down by the metro. I got the Budda Bowl and it was impressive. A bowl packed with plenty of flavor and delight! I thought it was amazing that the business was also using eco friendly containers and utensils!

Great vegan food! It looks a bit weird, I admit. You won't expect much from a place that is small and is located inside of an old school market. But you should disregard all of it and try. I had their Green 13 burger with tofu, mushrooms and tartar sauce (twice) and it's great! I also had one of their rolls and candies. And a coffee :) Very good. I wish they get a better place, though I believe this is just a matter of time.

The food is ok but I can feel more taste. I have tried green burger with a tofu cheese and hummus with beetroot falafel, hummus by itself is just very average and dry, but the beatroot falafel is tasty and it save the dish. You can order just a beetroot falafel as a separate meal, but when I came in the morning 10am it wasn't ready yet. I will give this place a second try.

All have very good food choices but this one particularly is amazing. The food was yummy and the guys also speak English... Must try Tofu wrap and Falafel. We loved the place, atmosphere is really cosy, food is delicious and affordable, stuff is super friendly and helpful. Here I’ve tried the best Kyiv cake so far, soft and crunchy at the same time, super tasty. If your choice falls upon Kanapka Bar, try the cake and tuna sandwich!

Tasty Italian restaurent in the heart of Kyiv serving great steak, piazza and respectable desserts. Thre mushroom pizza was delicious and the ribeye steak was amazing, well cooked and a generous portion. The sides were also very well cooked with a good eye for presentation. Finally the desserts were well prepared, tasted good and well presented. I especially liked the homage dark chocolate Italian ice cream coated with little fine crushed chocolate for extra texture and crunch. Well done!!

Good spot for breakfast, lunch or maybe even a dinner. Stuff is very friendly. 💲Prices are very affordable! For most people portion sizes will be sufficient. But, if you need more and you order two dishes price will still be around average for the whole meal. 🍳Food is good.

At lunch time the service and food was great. However, the pizza took way too long and the waiter remembered a great tip from our friends just a few days previously. I'm wondering if our service would have been as good if we came by ourselves.

I went here with my wife to celebrate our 8. anniversary. Having visited Mafia in Mykolayiv we thought this might be a good experience. It was not. We ordered cava and sushi. One and a half hour later we still hadn't got our sushi so we decided to go without eating. The kitchen seems to be only manned by a monkey and can't bring orders to the table. The service was faster in Chernobyl. STAY AWAY.

After long walk my friend and I were hungry and decided to have some rolls. We've ordered set Philadelphia Salmon and we were hoping to have fresh salmon accompanied with cream cheese and a bit sweet rice, but we've got rly rly old salmon, probably defrosted few times, and just a bit of cream cheese accompanied with dry rice. We didn't finish the set, it was awful, and it wasn't even some kind of discount set. Very disappointed. Had bad experience year ago, with similar problem. Decided that I won't go there again. P.S. Lemonade was good, but it's not worth to go there just to get one. Place is overrated.

Interesting restaurant when we entered, but we really enjoyed it! The service was excellent, we had some extra wishes which all have been managed and fulfilled ;)) The wine was good and affordable, that‘s a thumb up! They have a balcony like upper level and a mid and lower level. Looked like there was no disadvantage to any of them!

This was a nice place to eat. Food and drinks were great. A little higher priced than other pizza places. They did not have a menu in English however they had someone come translate for us.

By now almost all Italian restaurants in Ukraine are used to offer Japanese food as well. Not for this reason we must forget the great value for money, friendly and kind staff, very good food and comfortable atmosphere. I also have to add that, unlike other restaurants in this area, here they serve food late in the evening too. Try Mafia it if you still have not done it.

Great choice of food and goods with the high quality, located on the ground floor Mandarin Plaza, just in the city center. Prices are higher than in the usual Silpo. Also they have the bar to drink tea and eat sweets🍬

They should not sell food in bad condition. I bought a portion of octopus that they told me was fresh that day, I could only take a bite and spit it out immediately. It was rotten and its smell was not good at all. I have read many comments about food poisoning in supermarkets in Ukraine, with all types of meats, not only seafood. In other countries, supermarkets, if fresh food is not sold during the day, usually will put half-price or more on sale in the last hours before closing, instead of throwing away the food (which most supermarkets in Ukraine do sadly or trying to sell food/meats that are not fresh for days at full price). If they put discounts according to their expiration date, they could move the stock and have food suitable for consumption in all cases. The same with chicken I wanted to buy, was in the refrigerator, but it has been packaged for more than 7 days and its appearance was not fresh. After the second or third day, they should put discount stickers on the meats or those items that will be gone soon. After this experience, I will not buy any prepared meat at the supermarket again until I see changes in the way they move stock according to its expiration date, at most salads if they look fresh.

Great supermarket with huge variety of different goods and brands from local Ukrainian mass market brand and crafted small produce up to very expansive foreign brands. Good assortment of different teas, cheese and meat products. A lot of fresh fruits and veggies no matter it’s summer or winter. And nice stall with superfood powders. Sometimes you can find ridiculously expensive products.

Where else will you try a burger with ostrich meat? but ask that it be well-roast! Great menu with interesting positions. More expensive than the average price tag, but the institution is pretty good. It’s stuffy inside, but you can chill outside. The beer is ordinary, but a good wine and cocktail list. For owners: let's buy beer Zipa(Ципа) Brewery (suitable for your style) - you will be sooo good

Overall it's decent, food is tasty, I wouldn't call it perfect but good. For it's price range the food is very good. 3 stars for the atmosphere was due to the place feeling darkish and a bit empty, but that's my take.

Food took forever, finally came out after my friends were already finishing their meals, portion was tiny, chicken was very overcooked. Only ate it because I was starving by the time I got my food on the table.

So delicious! Great music, cozy interior and friendly staff. Their zucchini bread and cocktails are a must try!

Tasty nachos, really good place

This restaurant has a staff who can speak in english and menu board which is written in english. So I didn't have any problems to have a good meal in here. All the staffs are polite and tender. They have really nice Lemonade and Apple pie too.

The food was very bad. I remember how good the food was like 6-7 yrs ago at Katjosha. Now it was awful . Vareniki was bad. Hard and not good filling. I was so disappointed.

Nice restaurant with old 70's-80's Soviet era interior design, friendly and helpful staff and wonderful, authentic local food specialities. My personal favourite in Kyiv. Prices are also super correct, you can have a soup, main course and a drink for approx. 8€. Highly reccomend for everyone who wants to step back in time and taste the tradtitional dishes. (Y)

Service is extremely slow. We waited a lot of time for a cup of coffee. If a customer orders small order, it doesn't mean he is less valuable. Please rethink your policy, and maybe after that you will get better reviews. Attitude is sometimes more important.

Lovely small vegan café which opens out to the shopping centre. Comfortable seats. Good staff. Prices aren't too high. Good wi-fi. A lovely, romantic place for two to enjoy each other's company

Avocado+quinoa wrap was really good! There is also a small shop offering superfoods and some other vegan products like flour, cerob, spices.

The fresh juice is really made from fresh fruit and vegetables, and sandwich with tofu is yummy. Also, I am buying there nuts, vegan desserts and incense sticks.

OMG! The best vegan falafel in whole of Kiev but possibly Europe! And the owners are so calm and easygoing.
