It is nice and cozy underground bar. Live band even on weekdays, a good band. Variety of cocktails, but only one beer. How come a bar like this has only one beer to offer? Nice staff, friendly and willing to accommodate clients' requests. Please do stuck the bar with a variety of beers too.

Great atmosphere in this pleasant bar that over the weekend becomes a club with a rather small dance floor. Getting cozy with one another may be though precisely why guests at this cocktail bar come to the place ;) The bar is well supplied, with a favorite being the White Russian (no politics implied!) The crowd is more artsy, hipstery and less pretentious than in other Kiev night hangouts.

Definitely one of my favorite bars in Kiev. You can always count on a good time and a nice crowd. Sometimes they have face control at the door but most of the time you'll get in if you dress business casual. Drinks are comparatively priced to the rest of the bars in Kiev. There's also a pretty cool secret back room if you can weasel your way inside by the tall slim doorman. Cocktails her amazing and bartenders really love with they do here. Amazing bar with very reasonable prices. There was live music between 9 and 10, so could get a bit loud. Food is also really good.

It was a great experience as we rented the room for corporative party! Alchemist bar seemed a cozy, well-ornamented place conveying fully the idea behind its name. Visitors - beautiful people. Loved this place. Will come back again.

Hands down the greatest cocktail bar in the Kyiv area, if not the whole country of Ukraine. A bit pricey, sure, but worth it 100%. Great cocktails and the most wholesome and friendly staff you could ever experience.

Amazing place, really good craft cocktails.

Our friend had praised this place for months and it was very crowded when we were there, so there are many people who like it. However, 5 of us didn't have a good time here. The service was extremely slow, all the cocktails were way too sour. Even when we asked for the sweetest one, it was still really sour. They're pricey and after having 5 of them we were pretty much sober. The chairs we sat on were uncomfortable, our backs hurt as hell. The staff screwed up with our booking, and the beginning of our evening was confusing. The good stuff: good food, a fun restroom, our waiter made a truly nice toast for our birthday girl. We're unlikely to come back.

It's not a place to eat. Come here to gain some emotions and have a good drink. Prices are higher than average (the bar is quite popular) but it worth it! We've tried a lot of different cocktails. It was really fascinating to listen to bartenders description of the beverages. You will get lost among the variety of cocktails but the map in the menu and waiters are there to help you. My favorites are Idea Fix and Asia Sour.

A hidden gem that’s intentionally hard to find, but absolutely worth the effort. Be sure to book a reservation in advance. While the food was not particularly memorable, the cocktails and atmosphere made a lasting impression. A must-visit place for those looking for unconventional cocktails in Kyiv. Loggerhead seems to be known as one of those secret bars with great reputation. And not without a reason! Hidden in a tiny street, it has quite a small place with a few tables and some seats by the bar. The bartenders are uncannily knowledgeable about both cocktails in general and the menu at the bar. They carefully listened about our preferences and tastes and made the cocktails for us that tasted incredibly good. Although the prices are higher than average, the drinks were definitely worth it!

Well there's a lot of controversial discussion about this club because the presence of working ladies and sex tourists. But it is all manageable, actually even interesting dynamic, cool relations you can establish here, not to exclude adrenaline and the romance the place offers. Either you're a woman or a man you will have definately a great time here. Anyways you can simply say yes or no to the choice you are looking for. Most of clients are civilized and all respect your choice. Other than that it is one of the greatest clubs in Kyiv. Excellent shows particularly on weekends and modern music with Ukrainian top singers. Dance floor is always crowded which tells how clients enjoy the place and the music and interaction. Bouncers at the door provide safety. Entrance rate a bit overpriced for such a club. Average prices for cocktails. It is worth clubbing when in Kyiv.

Good experience on a Monday night. We come at 10 to see some incredible Latin dancers showing their moves. Then the mix switched to a more eclectic mix. No cover on Monday, We took a VIP table for 2850 table charge. Three of us ate and drank and danced until 3. When we left, we still have not used up the table charge. So they gave me salad to take back to my apartment. Food was tasty, and obviously, prices are moderate (at least on Monday night). I saw other reviews about working girls here but if there are, they are discreet. Will definitely come back even if I do not learn more Latin dance moves.

Masha is a star! I was advised to go to this place by a girl I met at the National Opera. It's hard to find. But man, it's probably the best place to find! Fantastic. Professionals! Thumbs up! You haven't seen Kyiv if you haven't been here!

Visited here at the beginning of July whilst in Kyiv. Not easy to find, but that makes it all the more special. It’s a fantastic place with a great atmosphere. It has a large selection of drinks. I had a an Old Fashioned which was prepared in the traditional way. Only sadness was that we were there late in the evening and it was having to close because of the curfew. Just means will have to visit again next time I’m in Kyiv.

Nice cozy place to have a drink. Prices are high for Ukraine especially their own signature cocktails but not extremely high. They have a separate smoking area inside and another bar. Place is not big and has different events going on I think mainly during weekends. I personally witnessed a live band which was cool and a dj the next day.

Open every day, this cocktail bar has been our favorite the only downside is, we can’t seem to ace the secret bar, with best coctauls. They are only on weekends, however, we finally came to Kyiv on a weekend, but there was private party but that is just our luck :) The staff is dedicated and vey nice. The interrior is interesting and with a story, and you can get a tour if you wish. Live music. Great coctails. Beef tartare is simply lovely, can recommend the ribeye and chicken dish as well. :) We will definately be back qgain and again

The location is a five of five, liked it very much! Unique and with a cool vibe. The music on the 04.06.21 was not my taste, but ofc this depents on the event. Why only 3 of 5? I've felt overcharged. I asked for the cheapest beer at the bar. My first beer was 200, second 150, third 120. What kind of flexible prices are this?! No good feeling for a guest...

I have never seen something like this. I was at the entrance, the ticket was 400 hryvjniaI and I had 300 so the the “girl” at the entrance told me to go to the atm to take the rest (3.14€, they don’t accept cards). I walked around the area for 40 minutes in order to find an atm (atm in Kiev sometimes are hard to be found). Once back to the entrance the same “girl” did not allow me to go in. 🤷‍♂️ Wecome to 🇺🇦

One of the best clubbing experiences of my life. The place is absolutely gorgeous, it is an art piece in which you can get lost exploring. The sound system is just the best this world can offer and the people you meet there are friendly and beautiful. An all around stunning sensory experience. Go there in summer so you can enjoy the otherworldly outside of the club. I'll always remember the party shifting from the inside to the outside when the sun shines its first light, while the dancing goes on forever and ever...

Racist bar did not let us in refused to give a reason. Would not recommend tourists to visit We tried to ask her what the reason is she just said she cannot let us in but people behind us had no problem entering. Rude service and outdated policy! First of all there were no info about they have 21+ policy. So we all came with a good mood for a DJ set, however because one person was 20 the whole group was not allowed to enter, that’s how they destroyed the evening. The girl on the door was too rude and disrespectful. Was surprised, cause never before I had such a situation, living in London or other Europeean cities. Very outdated policy. Other than that, the highest prices on bar in the city, u definitely can find something more up-to-date.

Had more fun here than expected. Cosy bar so it's easy to meet people. A bit expensive but the bartenders know their stuff. Smoking inside can be a bit annoying but isn't do bad with the windows open (I can't imagine what it's like in winter).

This place is racist. I definitely suggest you to not go there. These people didn't take a person inside just because he is Turkish. But they let his girlfriend inside. Can you believe this? They stopped her boyfriend when he tried to go inside after his girlfriend. And they also didn't take other turkish people inside as I've seen. I'll never go there again.

Parovoz is an hidden gem in Kiev, awesome cocktails, knowledgeable bartenders and nice atmosphere.. highly recommended. Can be difficult to find, walk into the cinema, turn left, down the stairs... no signs at all of what you might find.. ;)

Great place! Kind of a secret spot to find in the city. I've noticed that Kiev has these really cool bars that are tucked away for only the select to find. The bartenders take their craft very seriously. They have a wide variety of cocktails that you can experience and enjoy. It was a great crowd, everyone seemed to be having fun. Drinks are little more pricier than your normal Kiev watering hole. Nonetheless, it was a cool place to check out and have a drink. I would definitely recommend and I will return. Small bar in the historic district Podil near the river port. It’s simple and straightforward like your old-time friend. Thus don’t expect cozy sofas and rich interior, but be sure, that you’ll get good cocktails for the reasonable price.

It’s a Very lovely bar, prices are normal and the view at night is very good, view of the river at night and the city lights. Also you can drive your car up to 8 floors. It’s very nice to drive your car to the 8th floor and sit to drink or have a relaxing evening, there food is good too

We've got to the SkyBar to have a cocktail and start the night. The bouncer didn't let us in, even though we were trying to book a table there through him. We agreed to pay the deposit but when the bouncer told us we would come back after he would ask about the table, and we had been waiting patiently for him. Finally, we got nothing. Question: it used to be my favorite bar which I recommend all my friends, now it has become a bar I will never recommend.

Here’s the bottom line: If you’re looking for an upscale club where you can enjoy bottle service with a group, and comfortably enjoy your night STAY AWAY. This place has extremely corrupt workers from the waitresses to higher management. We met the day prior to prearrange and prepay for our night. 2 hours in (before we came close to finishing everything we pre-ordered), we were handed an additional bill of completely made up charges and “entrance fees.” The waiter was unable to even identify the meaning of anything she put on this fake bill. Obviously money was not the issue, so out of principle, we refused to pay. They proceeded to try and hold 2 guests hostage.

Paid for the VIP table in advance but refused us entry Although me and my friend were welling to spend large amount of money for his birthday. We were dressed in Tom Ford and Brioni , not drunk and we were polite to them, instead of talking to us like normal human beings , they were using hand gestures, SO DISRESPECTFUL AND DISGUSTING. Waited 30 minutes in cold for our refund . DO NOT GO

An American dressed really nice and tried to spend money. 12/28/2018 was denied and said I could reserve a table for 20k and it was just me. Horrible experience and if your nice looking, nicely dressed and soon as you talk they will deny you and only let you in if you pay a ridiculous dollar. Please take my advice and stay away not worth being discriminated against.

Service by Alexi was great. I tried the following dishes: Fillet Mignon - was great meat but served with potato only. Grilled vegetables- OK Tom Ka soup - great. Avocado salad - perfect! Cocktail, Japanese sour - perfect! Restaurant a and bar are almost empty, not sure why. Will go there again.

After rebranding interior - different design and atmosphere of what its was before, there is life music , which is +,the rest left a double impression, but for sure buddha bar place for relaxing atmosphere. AMAZING food! The server was very kind and answered all our questions. Also went out of his way to make friendly conversation and bring us hot sauce (which we had been craving!) Also the owner was very friendly and kind. He gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay!

Don't hesitate to ask to bartenders or waiters about cocktails you like but don't see it on the menu. I bet they could do it for you! Warm waiters , they speak good English. The food is excellent and the quirky cocktails are amazing.

There are very few vegan options but thankfully it’s enough to make a decently filling meal. The food tastes great, and staff is friendly and can speak some English. I ordered chana masala , hummus and lemon rice. All great! Samosas are also vegan, but they were out of stock. The vibe and ambiance is very cool. I think if the vegan main dishes selection was a bit better I could give it 5 stars, or if it were possible to veganize the vegetarian dishes. Overall, a positive experience and I will probably return .

We love coming here! This is our weekend supper spot! Great portions. Everything was delicious. Very Friendly staff. Offered us great service and we drank a great white wine very cool, that matched well. In the end we were astonished even the dessert very good chocolate cake.

Visited here 2 years ago with friends and thought it was fantastic. However returned with my girlfriend and were refused entry. No explanation given at all. When I asked the guy why we were refused entry he pointed to a sign saying he can refuse entry for no reason. I'm actually incredibly disappointed; a place that I previously had some great experiences in is now an absolute no go for me for what I can see to be no reason. Would be grateful to hear from the management on this as it is really not acceptable in my opinion.

This complex offers a variety of services and zones. There is a terrace restaurant, a speak easy bar, a night club and a karaoke lounge. Excellent food, good shisha, ok cocktails. Be warned - security will not let drunk people in, and will escort anyone out should they act inappropriately or choose not to take "no" as an answer from a girl.

A legend since at least 10 years. Still existing. The club is small with good DJs. Beside this there is Karaoke, a bar and a restaurant that serves dishes from dusk till dawn. Even longer. The personell is always friendly and takes care. A place one can easily spend 8 hours of lifetime during one night. Walking distance to the center after a long night is 30 minutes.

Definately would NOT recommend coming here ever. Ruined our night out, we came around 12 on thursday and you have to pay 200 deposit for entry which you can spend inside on drinks, but when we wanted to order something they said we have to buy a table for 1200 or we can't order. The place had around 10-15 older people, the dance floor was closed, overall a bad experience dont come here!

We went there yesterday and had fun. I see bad comments about security below. Security was friendly to us. They even offered us (ladies) to go in and see if we like it before we pay entree fee for gents. Bar could be faster, but drinks were good. Music was a mix of different styles, good enough to dance and enjoy. Although Dj could use more new songs. He was kind enough to play some songs on request. Mostly foreign crowd. I wish people weren't smoking inside. We left because it was no fresh air at all. Good night out!

We visit the club in Friday, great music and great stuff, allot of girls and good people dancing and hanging out! We had very very good time and meet aome good people. The club look very good, clean and allot of security people all over. Very recommended!! Don’t forget the dress code- smart casual or higher. regular T-shirt is not allowed

Let's start being fair with what other reviews says. Bouncer or security in the place are very nice and respectful. We have no complaints about that. Prices are fair and barman do not tried to steal or cheat on clients. Now, and this is to the owner , you can not have such a bad DJ, the guy playing music on 03/08/2019 has no level to play music even in my 10 year old daughter party , you are losing money with a DJ like that. You will not have clients from the west coming back to your club with such a bad DJ. And the last one is: In this place there is 10 guys per woman, so unless you like to dance with mostly guys , is not a place for you.

Not worth it. There are plenty of better clubs that respect their clients and can understand class. Rather than rejecting people randomly under what they say "face control" or "club rules". The negative comments about the security are absolutely on point, and I absolutely don't recommend this place for tourists. And now at least I realized why the club is always empty, and why their rating is in a free fall, as they reject their own paying customers. Read the arrogant management replies to negative reviews (including this one) and you get an idea about the culture of this place. Yeah perhaps this club is not suitable for me, although it was suitable enough when I paid for the tables before, or maybe you don't understand what a customer service is.

Traveled as the solo female in a group with three males during a recent trip. We reserved a table with bottle service. My three friends were welcomed into the club and then the security was very quick to stop me. Pretended not to speak any English but then as my confusion was apparent, he told me “dress code, you can’t wear pants”... okkkkkkk... So wanting to rejoin my friends and enjoy the table I had already paid for.. I returned to the hotel and changed into something similar to the other ladies at the club were wearing. I returned and again was denied entry for “dress code”. Come on! I asked for more guidance and my friends returned to again speak with security on some clarity on the issue. After a frustrating 20 minutes I was finally allowed in. Can anyone provide some insight on what happened?? Review of the club besides that- fun, great DJ, but overall way too exclusive for what it offered.

Not too crowded or expensive for foreign currencies, drinks are OK. Full of VIP posers. Quite unfriendly staff (barmans and security) specially if you don't speak their language. Good place to dance but don't expect any special atmosphere.

I’ve been traveling around the world for the past 5 years and I have never been treated like this!! Stuff at the door will let you enter based on the color of your skin . Tens of people were accepted before and after they refused us. When we asked them about the reason they said you need to have a table reservation so we contacted the number in this page and they said you need to enter the security first huh! Shame on you! If you keep treating tourists like this no one will ever come back again.

Amazing spot for cocktails and a bite. The service is always excellent and the staff is knowledgeable and attentive. They won't go too far off menu but their house creations and knowledge of classics and modern sips is wide enough to find you something suitable. The food is outstanding. The salads are excellent and the hotdog creations are super cool. They have vegetarian(vegie dogs) options as well. These guys really do an awesome job when it comes to atmosphere. The music is cool, the vibe is laid-back, and they prep to bring you cool events. Sunday's are movie days. They have a projector set up and offer popcorn all day long playing classic films. They also do special events for halloween, Valentine's, etc.. Add this to your must-visit places in Kiev. Dogs & Tails never fails to impress.

Small bar, staff is very nice. Inside you can hear nice music. But there is only one toilet for both women and men. It is prohibited to smoke inside, but you do it on the street.

Good place to drink some beer, soft drinks and/or coctails with friends. Here you can try home made spirits. BANKA Cafe also provides tasty snacks, cold and hot starters, soups, main dishes. Generally you can try here local cuisine. Everything is served in jars both food and drinks. If you like something a lot you can buy it to take out. You should definitely try hrinovukha and chicken wings here.

It has lots of things for improvement. First if all, the personnel might be nicer and not so rude. Second of all, it's not the best practice to push your visitors by bouncers while trying to get out drunk guys. I've been to lots of places but first time i had such a bad experience and definitely not recommend it to my friends. The only good thing was the music. And that's it. I first noticed Hangover by hearing the music from Park Bridge and vowed to come back. My first experience was decent although extremely crowded. The lines can be VERY long. When we decided to come back, we waited in line over an hour to be turned away at the door. The woman manning the line (same woman as the first time) questioned our sobriety (all we were doing was dancing to the music while waiting in line) and then our outfits (not any different from anyone else in line/the club). She then decided that we weren’t worthy of entering the club and signaled to the bouncers to turn us away. What an embarrassing experience and an absolute waste of our time. If you want to wait hours in line to get turned away for a single judgment this is the club for you.

I went there for a bachlorette party for myself and a few friends, The service was so friendly and nice! Food made my taste buds explode. Never had food that was authentic with a spin on it that made it new and fresh.But the kick was the music. They had music that was so catchy as well as rhythmic that my friends and I barely sat down for a minute for our food! I enjoyed this place immensely and recommend it to all my friends.

I had my bachelor party here. Drinks were reasonably priced as well as the food. Loved the atmosphere! DJ kept it rocking till all my friends passed out. The lady dancers kept us entertained ;) ;)

Very unfriendly and racist bouncers/door policy: I went there with two friends after partying in CHI club at around 3 am because we were told the after party there should be quite nice. We are foreigners (2 German, 1 Portuguese) and had absolutely no trouble entering CHI club but were not admitted to enter Heaven. "There are entry rules that we have to follow", is what we were told. When we asked which of the rules would apply to not letting us in the bouncer couldn't even say anything but told us the same phrase again and thereafter went inside.

200 gr entry. 105 for a vodka red bull. Excellent dj. But at 2:00 no people there, at 4:20 still only few people, lot of fat girls and guys. I asked staff if I can eat something, they treated me like I'm stupid just because they don't know English. 1500 gr deposit if you want to eat something? Bye.

I get the bad reviews of this place...people turning up at 2:30 expecting it to be busy just isn’t going to happen... this is an afterclub which starts to get busy circa 05:00 and finishes circa 7 hours later at 12:00-12:30. I am a tourist, I got looked up and down at the door but was then let straight in at at what is a 200 UAH entrance charge. This place is defo not for anybody apart from a serious clubber/Techno head - quality techno in the club room and the upstairs bar, both with killer sound system to boot. Massive thumbs up from me 👍

My friend and I arrived here after 2am (when most of the bars in Ukraine start to close) hoping to continue our night. Admittedly, we weren't entirely sober, but certainly not drunk or the type to cause any trouble. Unfortunately, we were turned away at the door without explanation. Lots of very drunken, local prospective customers were granted admission before us, and the younger of the two doormen was more than happy to let us into this rather empty nightclub too. However, his older colleague overruled him and insisted that we leave. Based on this experience, I wouldn't advise you to travel any significant distance to visit this nightclub. Their admission policy is inconsistent. There's plenty of amazing places in Kiev if you want to party until the early hours. Heaven perhaps isn't one of them!

Location is a bit far from centre. Bodyguards dont make a trouble about allowing in club but admission fee is 150uah which doesnt include any drinks. Cloakroom is free. Club is actually old ship. So inside area is small. If you like forsage, you would be smallest here. Barkeepers doesnt care anybody besides they are rude. There are a lot of muslim people (turkish, indian, arabian etc). They treat as stupid. If you turkish looks very classy, you must not other turks like punk or bad looking! You just dance and have fun. I think place owner get some nice girls taken in the club due to that horny orient people much money the place. End on the night, many of these attractive girls will be brought to their home by special car service. Be careful! ;))

About DJ & Sound. DJ doesn't have any sound, style and good play list. Such an amateur DJ performance. Felt like some one playing with "winamp" what about mixing the tracks, very very poorly. Tonight he played "coco jambo", "maccarena", "simply the best by Tina Turner" and lots of Russian or Ukrainian songs. This is Kiev and I am not judging or bothering with local songs, that's cool. But DJ mix play list was really down below the avarage. Service & Bar. I drink one corona and one mojito, service was fine and mojito was nice. Prices was good too. We paid 200 UAH per person at the entrance and no free drinks tickets. Cloakroom was free. Atmosphere & Air Quality Indoor area but very very smoky & smelly. Shisha, electronic smokes was allowed. Very poor air quality...

Bouncers asking for bribe even though there are no issues. A large group of us were not let in because the bouncers decided we need to pay a facilitation fee of €20, first reason was because they could not calculate the date of birth of one of the girls, after a while they figured out she was over 21 but decided to get arsey with the shape of the shoes of one of the guys, deemed sports ware and therefore not appropriate. First time I been asked for a bribe from a bouncer, clearly something the place needs to sort out.

I had such a great time at S34 Cocktails & Haircut! The cocktails were creative, perfectly balanced, and really delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and unique, and the staff made the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a must-visit if you love well-crafted drinks!

Jacob (Jake) the bartender is phenomenal!!! This is the kinda place you go to if you enjoy a great drink, trying to impress a date, or enjoy great service. It's cozy and romantic with an edge that says I live that life. Get a hair cut in the afternoon and enjoy a proper drink in the evening and into the night. Its extremely rare places deserve the 5 stars in book but this place deserves 6! English speaking foreigners that enjoy proper cocktails can enjoy this establishment as well as the locals. Honestly can't say enough good things about the bar and SERVICE I recieved. P.S. Whatever the owners/management is paying to keep Jake.....it's no where near enough. He's a true asset to the bar......very knowledgeable!

I travel a lot so I've seen many beautiful cathedrals. But still St. Sofia impressed me to the bottom of my heart. Amazing antient place with gorgeous wall-paintings.

Tramendous historical place to visit, built in the 11th century. Several buildings with excibitions and fresco on the religious topics. Amazing museum. Loved everything, history, people! It wasn't busy due to the weather, but lady guide there was so nice and walked me through, telling stories of the people. Just loved it. One of the key experiences visiting Ukraine!

Very cool place. Very somber. The museum and monument are done perfectly, impeccable, lots of extremely interesting facts and items from WW2, all the way up to the conflict in Crimea. This is definitely a worthwhile stop. You must go to the top of the monument!

The most amazing place in Kiev. It's a must visit destination in a traveller's list if he's visiting Kiev. The place is very well built and it displays all the war materials used in World Wars, it's just amazing and can only be felt not described. It has many more nearby tourist places which can be visited by walk or by bus.

This museum could be called the house of Europe's "Statue of Liberty". A huge and beautiful statue locates the entry of the museum. At the entry you could think it's not as big as it really is. It covers all of Kiev struggle during WWII with a lot of objects from that era. When I was there the balcony was closed so I couldn't get to see the statue at the bottom, but it was definitely worth it, and the last room with the fotos and the objects of the fallen during the war makes a real impact in you. Despite this the museum shows is age and everything it's in ukranian. So it's not that prepared to welcome tourists, although it's a must in Kyiv.

Huge (23rd tallest statue in the world) monument overlooking Kiev. Great views across the city from the area. It's part of the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. I didn't visit the museum itself, was short on time, but there are plenty of exhibits to see outside which you don't have to pay to see. Also some big statues at the base and a tank painted in the Ukrainian national colours.

Had the tasters menu + oysters. Really good choice - warmly recommended! The tasters is a very nice assortment that exposes you to a variety of Ukrainian dishes and customs. And the place looks good too. Priced affordable relative to western Europe.

Actually good. We tried Kiev chicken and grilled beef, some tomato salad and herring... Bill came at nearly 1000 hrn, so probably not super affordable, but... Location is nice, the place itself is very nice, service is good, and the bill itself felt kind of reasonable, not shocking, as sometimes is the case here... If you have tourist guests and need to take them to a place with good Ukrainian food, this one might be it. I would probably like more simple Ukrainian dishes on the menu, like the chicken Kiev was, but overall good.

Superb food with great playfulness (try the edible candles). Service is great with staff speaking good English. Live music increases the atmosphere in the already beautiful place, but if you want to talk, get a table in the charming side room. Costs more than most places in town, but well worth it.

My favourite restaurant in Kiev! I went here twice, and both times the meal was incredible and the service was so accommodating, nice and attentive. Can highly recommend the root salad (it doesn't sound like much but it is incredible and the cheese topping makes for a smoky show), and cherry dumplings for dessert!

I've chosen the place because of its good recommendations. First, the place is good, but not that great as lots of people write. Overall, it's a good place for Ukrainian food, and maybe other dishes are much better than the ones I had. The Kraut Vareniky were the best dish I ordered, very recommendable. I can definitely say that it is one of the best lamb meats I have ever eaten. The fact that it is crispy on the outside and cooked very well must be a separate skill. Great service and lovely ambiance. Feels very cozy and romantic as if you are in a mountain cabin (Schalet). I had a glass of the Portugal red wine. Although it priced lowest, it was surprisingly smooth and slightly sweet (similar to Georgian wine). I loved it. Food was overall good. Not the most creative but all flavored well. A basket of bread was only 19 UAH and served nicely warm. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely incredible restaurant/bar right underneath the Maidan. Stylish design, friendly staff, no non-sense menu... Great local cocktails (no need to be afraid they don't serve the "classics"). Collection of memorabilia of the past several decades decorates the walls.

It is a very unique place with a rich history and philosophy of existence behind. We enjoyed their cheap menu and quite specifically served. You can find a variety of Ukrainian modern cuisine served in very specific dishes. The design is very special and it impresses you leaving you with a lasting impact on what it means to locals. It is kind of difficult to find it being underground, you need to use a lift to get to it and use their password to get access. The password it is written almost everywhere there as a motto. Take a try being in Kiev! You cannot miss this place!

I found this restaurant by accident as it’s kind of hidden. It has an interesting decor and historical items from the revolution. The reception person takes you through the various parts of the restaurant to explain before seating you. The food was very tasty especially the chicken Kiev. The service was very attentive and friendly, and the servers spoke English. A live musician played accordion from 20:00 and that was a nice addition to the meal. I thought prices were very good for the quality of food and service

Everything is perfect. I loved my birthday celebration here . The food was amazing, the service was over the top the atmosphere was great. The only thing is that Ector wasn’t there. But everything was amazing overall. I highly recommend the duck, dim sums and the apple like dessert. I leave everything else to the staff. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The food was delicious; however, I expected a more authentic taste. The taste seems to be adapted for Ukrainian or European visitors. The staff is super friendly and open. They can even cook dishes that aren't on the menu! Great people and a stylish place.

The food and service did not disappoint. I ordered the Hong Kong soup and salad with duck and citrus fruits, the combination of flavors is excellent, soup with shrimp dumplings and cilantro, on top of buns with a pleasant spiciness. The balance of mushy breast with chili and fruit is simply divine. I don't like sweets, but even the dessert tasted good. The great location for a delicious and aesthetic dinner. We chose a table with a view of the open kitchen. Enjoying the stylish interior and the work of the team at the same time is a great idea.

What a great place to recommend!. Sophisticated presentation, delicious food and wonderful ambiance. Loved my cocktail Ginger Gin and passionfruit cocktail. Incredible surprises that Kyiv has to offer. I will definitely come back!

Absolutely amazing restaurant with great and experienced service. The menu has your staple Chinese dishes, so if you are a regular of Chinese restaurants, you will not need much time to make up your mind. The food balances the traditional recipes with fresh new ingredients delicately crafted on the plate. Our favorite appetizer were the crispy duck spring rolls. The best entree was the kung pao shrimp, and for dessert, the mousse with coconut milk, mango purée and Thai basil. The drink menu is where you will spend most of your time deciding, as all drinks are unique to this restaurant. Whichever you pick, you will be impressed. Our favorite was the Bao Spritz which is made with a house-made bitter liquor and comes a grapefruit sorbet in a passion fruit shell. Not a ding to this rating, but a few recommendations. Rice: they do not bring steamed rice unless you ask for it; something so central to Asian cuisine should come with all entrées. Dumplings: good, but not great; they have not yet cracked the code on how to make them special. We were expecting the shrimp dumplings to have the soup inside. Singaporean rice: missed a key ingredient-chili peppers

This was my first time here. The service was good despite how busy it was. The food was very tasty and my Mongolian beef was the most tender meat ever. They put real gold on top of my dessert. I came back another time for soup snd deep fried duck spring rolls. They are now my favorite spring rolls.

A very interesting restaurant. Beautiful interior. A wide range of author's cocktails and original dishes. Service at a high level. Prices are above average in Kyiv. Suitable for those who want to get new vivid impressions from gastronomic visits! I recommend to visit with a girl!

Visited in Feb 2021, before the current escalation of conflict. I was an avid whisky connoisseur and this place blew my mind. An experience I still think about. The Good -Welcoming Five Star service from the outset -Extensive range of the very scotch -Highly knowledgeable staff. I overheard them guiding some americans through the whisky menu with top-level knowledge -Fine dining food selection. The 'British Pie' was tender, delicately wrapped in a light pastry and had a depth of flavour from the 'Smoky Scot'. A wonderful dish. -The price. If you're used to fine dining in major cities of the world, then you'll be pleasantly surprised when the bill comes. High end food, mid range pricing. The Bad Nothing. This bar is simply amazing. It's a must for all whisky lovers. The range of whisky is fantastic and the knowledge of the waiter was top notch. I can't overstate how fabulous it is.

Nice place uniqe taste and good service. The stake is not close to best steak i ate. The carpachio nice but the mushrooms not feet with it.

Really awesome food. We had beef Wellington and meat pie. Delicious. Goes without saying that they also have a really good selection of whiskey. Highly recommended place although a bit on the pricy side.

This is the kind of place you visit again after a while and say, "why don't we come here more often!" Everything is quality. The food is fantastic and the whisky selection is nothing short of amazing. On Friday nights they also have live music that compliments but does not overwhelm the warm atmosphere.

Quite expensive, frankly speaking, but totally worth it - the best whiskey place in Ukraine! I couldn't check if all 900 names are there, but they are plenty indeed! Special regards to the waiters, who do know their whiskey and can offer good recommendation and add a nice story to it. Food is also very good - the meat was fine and on request a creamy spinach was added as a side, despite it wasn't on the menu. Keep up the good work!

It's a nice enough place, great range of whiskey that can keep you entertained regardless of your price band, but the food really isn't up to the same standard. Definitely edible but far from the British Cuisine it aspires to be.

We won’t be coming back. In a place that calls itself high-end, I was asked if I could pay for the wine I had just ordered — as if I’d need approval before drinking it. That kind of question is not just offensive, it’s humiliating. If I ordered it, I can pay for it. Don’t treat your guests like beggars. Totally unacceptable.

Good place for drink or evening time with friends. Specially in the summer. Nice terrace with beautiful view, service is fine and they do have shisha. The prices though are quite high for Ukraine, food is basic for this price but you would expect something really special. I would recommend management to look into this

It’s a good place for a drink, hookah and dinner. Service is very fast, personnel is respectful and polite. If you want to change anything in your meal, starting from the portion size to adding/cutting out ingredients 👍🏻 Each table is equipped with a ‘call button’ if you ask for a waiter, it’s very comfortable. Food is really tasty and pleasant. I, personally, recommend sushi 🍣 here! And cocktails 🍹 Prices are not low, be ready to pay 150€+ per 2 people for a good dinner with drinks. Restaurant works 24/7, which makes it very special ✅❤️ Tip for shisha (hookah) lovers: they always ask you if you want it served in a fruit 🍍 bowl, explaining that the taste is better. It’s not necessary, in my opinion. It costs twice or three times more than a classic one, but brings no difference. And yes, always check the bill 💸 they often have surprises

It's a great place, with great dishes and portions. Still, I think that the prices are just too high. You can have the same dishes in an another restaurant for 2 times less. The interior is beautiful and impressive. We paid approximately 60€ for three persons, that's not cheap at all for Kiev.

The terrace at their 6th floor is very nice, the staffs are very friendly and neat. The food is pricey but it was good, the prices are above average and I think it’s outrageous.

Very beautiful place and very lovely food service was a bit slow but in general food come in few minutes fruits platter was so beautiful they make it on very nice plate with nice touches I really like this lounge and shisha was great as well with loosely music classy and relaxing so definitely 5 stars thank u guys to having us ❤️🙏❤️🙏

Good choice of food. The only issue is it has a very heavy smoke feeling, people smoke shish-a everywhere. Since I dont smoke, it was kinda hard to stay there. Overall great experience, good service!

You might stop here for a beer, but I wouldn’t recommend eating. The portions are small, and the service is incredibly slow — in our group of 6, food was brought out every 15 minutes. You get your potatoes first, and only 15 minutes later comes the meat. Same for everyone. Honestly, don’t eat here — the food has no flavor, the prices don’t match the quality, and the service is beyond slow.

Perfect place to warm up before changing to party mood. Good food (not everything in the menu is available during low season) and good beer 🍺. There are a few Porter Pubs in Kiev and all of them have vibrant atmosphere with live music. If you are lucky the bands will sing full energy songs that will make you dance.

I must say this was my favrite PUB in whole Kyev. 1 staff was nice 2 it was cheep 3 beer was good 4i like the interior designe And if you have an open mind and 2 beers down you throat you cann meet so mutch nice people! Not if but when i come back to Kyev in going there 1000%

The place is over a couple of levels which makes it interesting. Music was good. I like the place but so far the food is a different response. Food was either just my bad choice or the chef needs reminding of what the menu is advertising compared to what you actually received. I chose the cod and chips as I thought it looks ok but waht arrived was more of an stab in the dark piece of small battered fish that had to be one of the worse I have ever eaten.

Great place with the live music, tasty cocktails and fantastic atmosphere. I like this place, though there are a lot of foreigners who wanted to get acquainted with the girls (I don’t like this). Food: okay, but not cheap. Cocktails: great. Atmosphere: really cool (music, dancing, like underground Cuban bar).

It is a social bar. Popped in here as we didn't want to go straight back to hotel after leaving friends. Great! Cheap vodka, live Cuban band . loads of people dancing and everyone very friendly. Great experience

This is my go to place every weekend. I am from the Caribbean and this place makes me feel like home. The staff is super cool and the music is very fun to dance too. The drinks are good and the atmosphere is unbeatable.

Great place with awesome Hookah, tasty food and great service. In the café there is a lot of space and places near windows are great. Music is a little bit louder then usual cafe but there is a separate room in the back of the café with much less noise and quieter music. Food is great, I would recommend their sushi menu it was delicious. Hookah is great and lasts for a long time. Staff is very attentive and polite. Only reason i put 4/5 is because recently they started renovating the restaurant and its been closed but it was not posted anywhere and Google still says its open. Its not clear when it will be open again. Hopefully soon, I really like the place!

The food is just ok, really nothing special. People smoke cigarettes inside. The interior is nice, but the photos look much better than the reality. The service is good. Big plus - you can check in your coat.

Looks great in the first place, but pure service, lame shisha. And a no go is to charge a gintonic as a gin plus a tonic seperately. Also, Shisha and tobacco for shisha were charged seperately. They seem to need money, which I can understand… as it was quite empty. There are better places…

Have been here quite a few times - all dishes tried/order always tasted very good. The service is fast and friendly. "The But" of the place is the priciness.

Vibrant atmosphere and good service. Fajita was pretty good. Mini-chicken burrito was awesome! If you ever had a wide gooey soft Chinese noodle (made of sticky rice), this reminds me of the texture. Spicy here is mild in US or Asia. Chicken finger was great too. Highly recommend it.

One of the best burgers. Not just in Kyiv, but... Like ever. Quite a bold statement, but that is a bold burger as well! Taste is exquisite, both for classic and home-designed burgers. Drinks are good, the service is very friendly. On the downside is the price, which is a bit too high for Kyiv, but definitely worth every penny IMO.

I would grow very happy and fat in this place! Best Mexican food I’ve tasted in Ukraine so far. Fajitas can actually be a dish for two, the serving size is huge. Immaculate service. The waiters are quite straightforward when asking what amount of tip you want to add if you’re paying by card, but that’s kinda cute and they do deserve it.

It’s a bit difficult to find. You have to go through an arch and even after we recognized it more by the elk than the small sign in the door. We ended up not eating here as it was rather busy in Saturday night and the only places left were by the door where it could have been a bit cold. It did seem nice though and I look forward to eating here once.

Japanese Ramen in Ukraine. Good ramen at the tiny spot. Place gets very busy and service is very slow. They can messed up your your so make sure you check what you get in your soup.

As a traveller & a foodie this is the type of place that you dream of. It's located in the basement of a soviet era block of flats just note that the access is in the court yard. They have a few dishes but I took the large shiro ramen and a birch water both I can highly recommend the ramen was absolutely delicious and on par with some I have had in Japan. It's run by a cool your team and some speak English so don't me scared. It was one of my foodie highlights while I was in Kiev. It all cost around $4

First time visited Ramen vs Marketing. Thanks waitress, she recommended to take baby ramen miso and add some broth if the soup will be stodgy or salty, that's what I've done. Success 😃 Love this place! Highly recommended!

I took the baby basic ramen with a portion of tofu. I was near $3. I liked the taste and the place. Even though it is hidden in the back yard, after 5 pm it likely to be crowded.

Bar On 8 is the kind of place you come for dinner and end up questioning your life choices — like why you don’t live here permanently. The view from the terrace? Unreal. Feels like Kyiv laid itself out just to impress you. Had the roasted eggplant salad — absolute flavor bomb. The tuna tartare? So fresh it probably had plans for the weekend. The duck breast with cherry sauce made me consider texting my ex just to brag about it. Cocktails? Magic. The lavender gin one tasted like vacation in a glass. Staff? Chill, sharp, and actually happy you’re there. In short: top-tier food, killer views, good vibes. Come for the sunset, stay for the life crisis.

Superb place, let down very much by non-Hyatt service. The location is amazing, the same can be said about the view and the atmosphere. It doesn't matter if you are here for a business trip, or a romantic dinner, it will suit to anyone's wishes. That is, if the from what I see, new manager / administrator, is not there to ruin your day. We always reserve a table directly, and upon entering we were told not be seated where 4 people could sit, but where 2 people could sit, even if we reserved a table that has a good view. Explanation was that it was that they expected this evening to be busy. We agreed on it, but told, sure, when the place is full, we'll just move. To our surprise, after us 4 other couples were seated in the places for 4. And in an hour, he came to us, telling we need to move. I didn't want to make a big scene, but I did ask him if he told the other people as well as we come every month to visit Bar on 8, and (not that I wanted to use it to show off, but to see if he had any business logic making a logical decision), I told compared to others who only hace a drink, we ordered multiple drinks, food, hookah, etc He litterly smiled and said "I'm very happy for you, but you still need to move". Just change the attitude, a simple sir, we have another amazing place for you, I'm sorry, etc , the regular sentences you expect to hear from Hyatt or others, trying to make you at ease, keep situation respectable We're not going to visit Bar on 8 again for the coming year, which is a shame, because we visited it very frequently. Again, nothing wrong with the place , or the waiters, they are outstanding. Just re-school the guy in charge that evening that he is not working in a 3 star hotel.

Absolutely loved this place. Most people come for the sunsets so please make sure to call ahead or show up early. The food is very good - I recommend the oysters and the Chilean sea bass. The staff is friendly and speaks very good English. More importantly, they’re also very attentive. Our waitress (Yuliya) took very good care of us all night. First, she found us the best place to sit, with a great view but without the sun in our eyes. Then she recommended a perfect wine pairing for every meal. Our glasses were refilled very quickly, before we realized we’re running low. As it got colder, she offered us two warm blankets. This kind of small but important details is what makes this place so special. Thank you Yuliya and the rest of the team – we will be back for sure.

One of the best craft beer pubs in Kiev. Very nice, quite place in ancient cellar near Poshtova subway station. Cool interior, very nice art on the wall, nice light, great glass cooler for the beers - not too much, just perfect. They have really pleasant staff, very professional, who know a lot about the beers and can give you a really actual advice. 24 taps of beers - foreign and Ukrainian, good choice of snacks and food. I strongly recommend to eat there burgers, salmon sevice with chilli, fish and chips. It's a nice place to come with friends, colleagues, to have a small meetup, to drink a glass of something special with your gf/bf. Moreover, they have very interesting presentations, lectures, you can play pinball there, sometimes they invite great DJs. But still, there's always a quite corner if you want to chat or work (and free WiFi).

I love trying new IPA beers, so when I found that Punkraft was near to my hotel in Kyiv I just had to visit. I would like to strongly recommend waitress Вікторія (Viktoria) to you. She is both very knowledgable about Punkraft beers & food and very helpful. I had Lady Midday to start with and then Smash Trident before returning to Lady Midday again. Food wise I can thoroughly recommend the beef tacos. They were amazing. Thanks again to Вікторія for her helpful advice on this.

There are many waiters, and it is unlikely that someone not will suit you. But when rush hour begins, it becomes difficult for them. A huge selection of beer, to each taste. Cool at the bar, because you can see everything: how to pour, how to serve. The food , I can't say what was delicious. Raspberry beer is very sour, you do not need to take it in the hope that it is ale. Fifty-fifty

Very impressive list of drafted beers corresponds with the name. Pleasant and helpful young waiters. Reasonable manu. Must recommend bastarma, spicy and tender. Enjoyed the visit. One suggestion, carry out one red and white beer and perhaps some local spirit. Kiyev is becoming quite a tourist spot, might be in demand. Still, I hope to return.

An interesting beer place, delicious IPA and other kinds of beer. A great selection of tap and bottled beer. The staff was polite, helpful and fast. We really enjoyed our time there and hoping to get back soon.

It's been a long time since I had such obviously diluted drinks at a bar and last time this happened it was at some grotty underground dive of a bar. So I was really NOT expecting this to happen at what I believed to be a reputable establishment such as Atlas / B-bar. However, when I ordered a bacardy 8 year old on the rocks from the atlas bar (went to see x-ambassadors, great gig) I got a strange, very sweet, almost syrupy liquid. I thought it might be the sugar that was sweet, but no, it was the supposed rum. When I got the same thing from B-bar to see if they have the same issue, the rum was no longer sweet but tasted as though it was diluted with some other cheap alcohol. Very disappointed to see such large and supposedly reputable establishments stoop so low.

Nice place for walk, street food and drinks on the Dnipro embankment. Closes late at night. During summer music and djs playing and they serve shisha there, suitable for hang out with friends. Food quality is good as for the street food, shisha is worse.

The 1950s passenger terminal's mosaic murals depict idealized Soviet maritime scenes. Hydrofoils depart with a distinctive three-tone horn sequence. Fishermen along the embankment know where the catfish congregate near underwater structures.

It’s a nice place to get a river cruise. The price in Summer 2020 is 150 uan per adult and free for children younger 6 yo Tickets are available on official site rpea.com.ua There is WC an mini cafe on board. The time of cruise is 1 hour and start is available every 30-60 mins from 11 am. Highly recommend for guest of Kyiv ;)

We happened to find this boat house on our way back to Maidan Square after seeing the St. Andrew's Church. There were old Soviet Realism style paintings left on the wall. There was a counter for the boat tour. Along the river there were many upscale food stand selling drinks and barbecue. The cushion for the seating were laid along the promenade. Very nice for the summer time!

River Port is a very busy place in summer! Be sure to get a 1 hour ride on a ship, longer ones are available as well. There are some river cruises from Kyiv to Odessa, so you can see large cruise ships there, too. The square in front of the river port is also busy and has a nice fountain. And there are some bars right by the water.
