Ice cream shop
Fenocchio is a renowned ice cream stand located in Nice, offering an extensive selection of nearly 100 unique flavors that are sure to captivate your taste buds. From classic options like chocolate and vanilla to more unconventional choices such as rose, jasmine, and tomato/basil, there's something for everyone. In addition to its main location on Place Rossetti, Fenocchio has two other shops nearby to cater to the crowds.
Great ice cream place with several counters and servers. Wide selection of ice cream, very friendly, fast and professional service. Probably the best value for the money in town. Card payment is accepted.
Tamas A — Google review
We stumbled upon Fenocchio while wandering through Old Town Nice, and it instantly became one of our favorite stops. Tucked away in the charming Place Rossetti, right next to the cathedral, this little ice cream spot feels like a sweet escape from time. What really won us over (besides the super friendly service) was the unreal variety of flavors — nearly 100! From classics like chocolate and pistachio to the completely unexpected (hello, cactus and tomato-basil), it was so fun trying something totally new. Our surprise favorite? Violet. Light, floral, and so unique — we’re still thinking about it. The prices are more than fair for the location and portions — around €3.50 for a generous scoop. There might be a line, but trust us, it’s worth the wait. The whole experience — delicious gelato, buzzing little square, sunshine, and people-watching — felt like a scene out of a movie. Bonus: they’ve got two locations in Nice if you're nearby. Would absolutely come back — and next time, we’re trying the avocado flavor. Location ★★★★★ Price ★★★★★ Food ★★★★★ Service ★★★★★ Value for Money ★★★★★ Overall Vibe ★★★★★

A place with a long history and a beautiful atmosphere. The selection of ice cream was so vast that it was hard to decide at first. 🍨The consultant kindly informed me that they currently have 99 different flavors! There are flavors that will definitely surprise you: olive, tomato-basil, and other "salty" varieties. I tried the guava sorbet, which turned out to be incredibly delicious and refreshing, as well as the tomato-basil and olive flavors. 🍦 I recommend visiting – it's a charming spot on an equally charming city square✨.
Marta — Google review
Sooooo many flavors!! You can get a bowl or a cone and you can try as many flavors as you would like as you pay by flavor/scoop. There are so many unique flavors and they also have your regular ones. There is a sitting area across the walking area where you can sit and eat. There will always be a line (short or long), but it goes fast and totally worth it.
Trouvaille B — Google review
A famous ice cream shop near Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate de Nice, offering a wide variety of flavors. The taste is natural and delicious, and they even sell their own signature ice cream scoops — very fun and unique!
Fu S — Google review
Yummy gelato! Comes with sooo many varieties of flavours. The flavour choices got a little overwhelming but if we had more time I would like to try more. They got VERY PACKED around 9:30-10pm. A bunch of people gathering in front but with so many staffs they were able to take care of everyone without too much waiting time. There are also a few other branches around old nice as well.
Bo N — Google review
Excellent ice cream in the center of Nice. There are many flavors to try, and we came back several times to taste something new each time. We were always satisfied and happy with our choices. Definitely recommended!
Lenka G — Google review
Fantastic gelato! Super popular but they do have a lot of staff so don’t be intimidated by long queue. Orange blossom and chilli Choclate are pretty awesome! We tried a few different flavors and all are amazing.

Patisserie
This bakery is a favorite among locals and tourists, with artisan bread and pastries made with the best ingredients. It offers something for everyone, from savory breakfasts to sweet desserts.
Very Friendly and inviting staff helped me with top recommendations and guidance on what to order for a medium size group. Was able to get half dozen pastries and a baguette for around €10. Quality, price and service were wonderful. For atmosphere possibly unfair but the scaffolding wasn’t the best.
William S — Google review
Delicious pain au chocolat. This bakery supplies bread to many restaurants in Nice. The breads are delicious too by the way.
Mike G — Google review
The almond croissants are delicious! Crispier than others but very good. I was with my twin one year olds, who were cranky and crying in the stroller, shortly after the bakery opened to pick up croissants to go. The bakery’s card system wasn’t working and the kind staff allowed me to take 3 croissants for 5 Euro, it was all the cash I had. Very, very sweet! (Just to clear my conscious, I did visit again and overpaid to makeup the difference.)
Kelsey M — Google review
Boulangerie with extremely tasty goods and desserts! We had: - Baguette with tomatoes and mozzarella, one with ham and cheese: both super fresh, the bread was warm, crispy and the taste was beyond this world 🥖🎉 - Creme brulee: wow...just wow. Every creme brulee should taste like that. - Pain au Chocolat: the layers were so crispy and yet so sweet and chocolatey. Delicious. The owner of the store is really kind, it might be a day full of customers but somehow they take care of you in a timely manner. I was amazed. Really good. 5/5🌟
Ely L — Google review
Good bakery in the center of Nice - perfect location. Good pastries, good coffee and friendly staff. The prices are fine. Small place with tables outside. I would recommend this place for breakfast.
Stoyan N — Google review
If you want an authentic French experience with the most delicious breads and pastries, this boulangerie, which supplies a wide range of restaurants, is a must. Every morning we stopped by for coffee americain with hot milk on the side and an ever more delicious pastry - all prepared efficiently and pleasantly. In fact, contrary to other reviews, although rushed off their feet, the service was never less than courteous. Highly recommend the almond croissants and fruit tarts with almond filling which were divine!
Anna — Google review
The best almond croissant I've ever had! Good coffee as well and very helpful staff. Great bakery with a big selection.
Signe C — Google review
So good I had to go 2 days in a row. The first time for breakfast—the almond croissant was incredible!! The next day we tried sandwiches and salads for lunch. It’s popular and crowded but the staff were patient and friendly with all. I thought the lunch “formule” of sandwich, drink, and dessert (pictured: tarte tropézienne) was very reasonable for 8.50 euros.

Boulangerie Jeannot is a charming bakery located in the heart of Vieux-Nice, offering a bright and inviting space with light-wood counters and tiled floors. The large terrace provides a perfect spot to enjoy lunch in the sunshine while sampling their delicious local specialties such as pissaladiere, Swiss chard tart, and pan bagnat.
Husband and wife pastry operation here visiting from the USA. The food, the service, the atmosphere is absolutely outstanding. A very nice find in Nice France. The sandwiches are incredible, and their coffee is very, very good. You will not be disappointed.
Leonard K — Google review
Perfect bakery with fresh sandwiches, pizza and confectionery products. The service is very friendly, they can speak English, card payment is accepted. You can sit outside at the terrace.
Tamas A — Google review
This place was a spontaneous find, and the biggest surprise was their giant ham-and-cheese croissant—which I of course had to try. It was absolutely delicious! I paired it with a cappuccino and picked up a few pastries to go: a chocolate-cream swirl and a madeleine. Worth noting: I came on a Sunday around 9 a.m., and it filled up quickly. The friendly staff and great food make it a perfect casual spot for breakfast. Also keep in mind there’s no set breakfast menu (petit-déjeuner, etc.) on weekends. Cash/cards accepted.
Lucas K — Google review
Very French, with a great food. The choice is huge, from club sandwiches to sweets. We visited few times and tried different food. We were over the moon each time. There are enough tables outside to sit down and watch the street the French style.
Katarzyna C — Google review
The place is always full so I thought that the would be good, but I was disappointed by it. The Quiche was the best thing I eat from the place and it was below average. The pastry was also not good.
Rhaisa L — Google review
Eclair, the best I had… monsieur with brie was crayz good. Everything here is quality and tasty!
Ralf S — Google review
This is a good place to have a coffee and have some nice pastries sitting outside and enjoying the street scene. Bright space with light-wood counters & tiled floors, serving classic French pastries & baked goods. There was a beautiful and colourful array of pastries on display. Busy, crowded and popular.
CK C — Google review
We’ve been to Jeannot on the day of our arrival in Nice, we were hungry and ready to try the French pastries. We have had the best croissant BUT the fraise tarte is absolutely delicious! Si this is the reason why we visited again and again until our last day spent in Nice! Congratulations to the owners and the boulangers, we really enjoyed your products! 🙏💕

AZZURRO Artisan Glacier is a popular ice cream parlor located near the Sainte-Reparate Cathedral in Old Town Nice. The retro ambiance and wide selection of classic and unique flavors make it a favorite among locals and tourists. The gelato is made in-house, with options ranging from traditional favorites like coffee to more adventurous choices such as rose and orange blossom. Visitors can enjoy watching the staff mix fresh fruits on-site and admire the skillful preparation of their sweet treats.
The best ice cream in Nice can be found here (wait in line - it moves quickly!) where they make their own fresh waffle cones, and have a very wide assortment of flavors with three different pistachio flavors, many different flavors of chocolate, and is supplied by the number one ice cream and gelato distributor in all of Europe - Nikaia which is named after the original Greek naming of Nice, France.

We tried this ice cream place based on the good reviews but unfortunately it did not delivered for us. Some of the flavors tasted artificial. Cash only was not a problem for us, but something to keep in mind if you would like to use a card payment. Make sure to speak up clearly to get your order right 😉

OMG probably the best ice cream ever. Italian lover is amazing, we went back 3 times when we stayed in Nice and we were there for only 4 days. Very good price quality and portion sizes. A must if you are in Nice.
Ines R — Google review
Azzurro Artisan Glacier is a cash-only ice cream shop in the historic part of Nice. Of the vast assortment of flavors, you’ll even find lavender and fig. I tried the fig and wanted more! Conveniently located near several key sites in Nice’s old town, don’t miss the ice cream at Azzurro.
Nanita — Google review
Will definitely go back for their pistachio ice cream , sooo rich and smooth , I understand why you could order 10 scoops in one cone( if desired ) . their cones are freshly made in store . I visited 3 times during my recent stay in Nice

A must have when you're in Nice. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and the gelato is even better. You must try the creme burle and the Italian lover.

An amazing place! The icecream were seriously delicious, there’s such a wide range of flavors we had problem with choosing, and the staff is so nice 😊 I was a tourist from Poland on a school trip and the man behind the counter even said some words to us in our language, it made our day. I really recommend!!
Kamila S — Google review
One of the best gelatos that you will ever have. It has a wide variety of flavours. You can find regular flavours as well as some unique fruit based flavours. The place is usually crowded in the evening and you will have to stand in queue. Buy multiple flavours from here, you never know any one of them can become your favourite 😀

After a dreamy detour through Italy, we landed back in Nice with one very French mission: pastries. And not just any pastries—we were craving the real deal. So we headed straight to Pâtisserie LAC, a spot we’d heard so much about. We picked up a small box of treats to take back to our Airbnb, and honestly, it felt like unwrapping treasure. On the balcony, with a glass of rosé and the Riviera breeze in the air, we dove into a lemon tart, a glossy chocolate entremet, and a praline choux that was almost too beautiful to eat. Almost. Each pastry was a little work of art—visually stunning and bursting with flavor. You can tell these are made with incredible precision and care. Yes, the prices are on the higher side (around €5–€7 each), but the quality and presentation make it well worth it. The shop itself is sleek and modern, with a touch of luxury. Even though it was busy when we arrived, the staff were kind and quick, making the whole experience feel smooth and enjoyable. Some might say it’s a bit “too polished” compared to your local boulangerie, but for us, it was the perfect welcome back to French indulgence. A must-visit if you love pastries and appreciate craftsmanship. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Nice. ★★★★★ Location ★★★★★ Price ★★★★★ Food ★★★★★ Service ★★★★★ Value for Money ★★★★★ Overall Vibe

a little piece of heaven for dessert lovers. Tucked away on a quiet street in Nice, it’s not just a pâtisserie — it’s a place where every tart feels like a work of art. The presentation is stunning, but the flavors are what truly make it unforgettable. The textures are perfectly balanced — light, delicate, and never too sweet. You can taste the craftsmanship and attention to detail in every bite. I tried one of their signature tarts (and immediately wished I had ordered two)
Ani B — Google review
Amazing cakes and chocolates The best we could find for Nice. Great services. Worth the price
Christine N — Google review
Before heading to the beach 2 days ago, I saw this patisserie and wanted to buy some macarons, and bought a cake too which I was told was the most liked one, and to say they were delicious would be an understatement. All of the macarons were super fresh and light, perfect to eat under the summer sun, and the cake was super balanced within its flavours and they were finished within minutes. If I ever come to Nice again, I am going to buy so much more.
Ece Ç — Google review
Gave us broken macarons — we came right at 18:45, but regardless, this is unacceptable. LAC, do better. I know I’m a tourist, but that’s utterly unacceptable. Do NOT recommend this location.

Amorino is a popular cafe chain in France, with outlets in Paris and other major cities. The cafe is known for its artistically served gelato at reasonable prices. Customers can enjoy a variety of flavors and have the option to choose as many as they want on a cone, which is decorated beautifully like a flower. While some patrons suggest lowering prices to compete with other stores, many praise the delicious coconut ice cream and the unique presentation of their treats.
Their ice creams are both unique and truly delicious. There’s always a line, but once you taste it, you realize it’s absolutely worth the wait. The quality of the ingredients and the balance of flavors are excellent — you can feel the care in every bite. A must-try spot for anyone looking for original and natural flavors.

Stunning classico gelato rose with 6 flavours crafted by your friendly and kind staff. As I read about it being the best ice cream in Nice, I sadly expected a lot. The ice cream was good but overall experience was a bit stressfull, mostly because of a small room fulled with people. Still like it though.
Barbara S — Google review
Total rip-off!! Run away! I came here last year and only got one scoop, but they gave me the amount of two scoops. Then in Italy, I realized ice cream is measured by cups, so I assumed it would be the same in Nice. This time, they promised four flavors, so I assumed it would be by cup again. Nope—new owner this year (didn’t see him last year) measures by spoon!! Four scoops ended up being barely more than last year’s portion, and it cost €11. The guy just pushes his ice cream cart outside, no wonder all the other ice cream places are crowded while his is almost empty. The flavors are fewer than last year, and even when you take the ice cream out, no one seems interested. Honestly, the more I eat, the more annoyed I get. The guy running it can go spend his money on medicine for all I care! Don’t pay more than €2 here—total rip-off! Suddenly Italian gelato feels so cheap…

If you love ice cream, this the place to have it in a waffle cone! Their waffle cones are the best I've ever had – crispy, incredibly yummy, and perfect for scooping up those tasty creamy ice cream bites. There were days we would go to this place twice a day just to taste the different ice cream flavors (pistachio, hazelnut, and strawberry were just amazing). They’re sourcing the best hazelnuts for their ice cream, harvested from Piedmont, Italy. You’ve got to try it!😋 On top of that, the owners make amazing espresso coffees (both to-go and for sit down) and deserts!

We really enjoyed this Patisserie. The service was great. Despite being a small coffee shop, it even has a restroom — clean and well-kept, with a nice scent. The place itself felt very welcoming. We tried a Madagascar vanilla cake, which was delightful, as well as éclairs filled generously with cream — absolutely delicious. Of course, we also had some coffee to go with it. They offer fresh pastries and croissants, too. Instagram: adventana Marketing Manager

The café is known for its unexpectedly tasty Matcha latte and quiche, making it a great find for those who appreciate quality beverages and food. The café provides a warm environment with friendly staff who speak multiple languages, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Stopped at Hug Café in Nice for a cappuccino and a croissant and I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good. The cappuccino was silky smooth with amazing latte art and a rich taste that hits perfectly with every sip. The croissant was fresh flaky and warm just the way it should be simple but full of flavor. The staff here is cool and super friendly they know their coffee and it shows. The atmosphere is relaxed stylish and you can tell people come here for more than just a caffeine fix. Came here before hopping on our train to leave Nice and it was the perfect place to kill time. I wasn’t expecting to find much resembling the culture of American specialty coffee in France, so I was super happy that they offered pour overs here. I got that, an espresso, a quiche, and my wife got a latte. My only complaint was that we ordered an iced latte and hot latte (which was still really wonderful). Would be happy to come back!

A lovely coffee shop with delicious coffee and wonderful staff. My parents love to stop by here as it is not far from the train station and on the way to the old town.

Wonderful café! We’re regular customers here and always come with great pleasure. It’s not only about the delicious coffee — they also have amazing desserts, and the food is always very tasty. The people who work here are just wonderful — always ready to help. Once we even brought our own coffee from home and asked if they could grind it, and they kindly did it with a smile. Thank you for the warm attitude and cozy atmosphere! We’ll definitely keep coming back ❤️

A Gem in Nice — Café Hug What an absolute delight Café Hug is! This charming little spot is a haven for true coffee lovers. Their selection of fresh, locally roasted beans is impressive — a thoughtful balance of single origins and blends, all treated with real care and skill. We treated ourselves to a washed Kenyan, brewed perfectly in an Origami dripper — the pour was precise, the cup clean, bright, and beautifully expressive. It’s clear they know exactly what they’re doing behind the bar — every sip felt like a small celebration. The service? Warm, gracious, and genuinely passionate about good coffee. Add to that their inviting seating — cozy yet airy, ideal for lingering — and you have a café that feels like a gentle hug indeed. It was just what we needed after lunch, but honestly, I’d return to Café Hug at any hour, for any excuse. A tiny treasure that lifts Nice’s café scene to another level. Highly recommended!

Great croissant aux almonds. Small place that had a regular flow of people while we were there. She had the breakfast meal and it was very good. This place was a little out of the way for us but worth the walk. This part of town is very easy for walking. We got a sandwiche au jambon for the walk to our next stop and it was totally worth it.

Chef Philippe Tayac's distinct brand image is reflected in the reimagined classic desserts and signature creations available at this bakery.
I got a Too Good To Go bag from Philippe Tayac Pâtisserie and it was amazing! I received 5 different pastries and all of them were fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. I also ordered a latte and it was okay, just a bit watery for my taste. But overall, I really enjoyed everything.

So, we ended up at this place, but they didn’t have a table for us to sit at. And to top it off, they didn’t have coffee either! So, we had to order some coffee to take home and then go to another place to grab a cup. But hey, the croissant was absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a pretty good experience.
Ahmadreza Z — Google review
You can’t say it’s not good quality… Croissants are normal, wouldn’t say that they’re extraordinary. Sweets are just right. But when sitting inside, you’d expect to get normal cutlery other than paper ones or normal glass cups for the coffee at least.

Spotting this beautiful Pâtisserie while making our way around Monte Carlo, we couldn’t resist but buying one of their incredible pastries. Opting for a delicious cookie croissant and a decadent chocolate filled pastry plus two perfectly made coffees. If ever in Monte Carlo, make sure to grab one these beautiful bakes - they are one not to miss!

My wife and I have been in Nice for a week and stumbled upon Philippe Tayac Patisserie courtesy of a TikTok (rare for it to be reliable lol). To our surprise this was the best croissant and pain au chocolat we’ve had. Not to mention, their pistachio creme croissant was so decadent. We went for a morning swim and it was too heavy to have beforehand but we each took a bite. Otherworldly. I am happy we found it now rather than after we left. This MUST be on your Nice list!

This is my favorite place to grab a New York Roll, it's the most delicious one I have found yet. It's a beautiful shop and the presentation is gorgeous, which is why these treats are a bit expensive. Definitely worth trying! Keep in mind this is not a shop to sit and eat, it's tiny with one little table. More of a grab and go situation!
Cat M — Google review
It’s VERY good for window shopping… once u’re close to the shop u will surely start salivating! Plenty of croissants and sweetnesses beautifully made and deliciously decorated. There’s not even that much of a queue. The inside looks super professional, the person working there will talk to you as a 5 star hotel receptionist. We took 3 different croissants, paying quite a lot, but from the first bite I must be sincere about this: it was nothing special.

"When in Nice, you absolutely have to visit the best patisserie shop for an unforgettable treat! Their almond chocolate croissant is a game-changer—it’s so good it’ll have your taste buds dancing. Don’t skip the pistachio tart with raspberry either; they’re a delightful indulgence. And if you’re a lemon cake fan, you can’t leave Nice without trying their lemon loaf cake—Mamma Mia, it’s a slice of heaven!" Trust me on that 😱

This charming bakery is a true gem! We tried the éclairs (10/10), the buttery croissants (9/10), and a perfectly brewed espresso. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delightful – the kind of quality you’d expect from a traditional French pâtisserie. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with all the charm of an authentic French bakery. The service was both friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. And the prices? Surprisingly affordable, especially considering the outstanding quality. This place offers incredible value for money. The hazelnut is fantastic! The raspberry swirl (do not know the name), cookies, and black cherry, Stratichella are other flavors were awesome. Not the biggest fan of ice cream or gelato so am very picky when it comes to having it. This gelato was some of the best I have ever tasted. Being from Dubai, I had to try the viral ‘Fixx’ chocolate inspired flavour and it was very well made. The kunafa was crisp and the gelato was not overly sweet like the original. My second scoop was the coconut-mango and that too was amazing. Intense but refreshing flavours. Perfect accompaniment to my first scoop. Definitely returning during the trip

Very cute place, stunning looking food absolutely lacking in flavour. Crepe and waffles were pure flour and egg batter with not a pinch of any flavoring, just drowning in cream to make up for it. Won't be back again, neither of us are much waffle and just picked at the cream.

Came across this place after a walk during night time. It had a bit of a queue so we instantly thought it must be good. There were so many dessert options to choose from but we still wanted to go for a walk so we opted for hot chocolate and churros and they were very tasty!

Super place of greediness in Nice. I really liked the nutella waffle, simple but very very good and the value for money is great. The decoration is very nice and especially the staff is really welcoming and keeps a radiant smile even at late hours. I apologize for having come 4min before closing time which did not prevent the young girl at the reception to receive me and to serve me. Some places refuse us 15min before and others are ready to receive us until the last second. This is a quality that I appreciate very much and once again I would like to apologize for arriving so late. Don't miss this opportunity to taste a good little sweet in Nice and also ... their ice creams are great! Thank you for the precious advices on the tastes and the assortments for a maximum of flavors!

So disappointing, wish negative stars was an option. Went here for a traditional French crepe and they used a bitter chocolate, small mushy strawberries, and unwanted coconut. How hard can it be to make a crepe??? Don’t be fooled by the pretty aroma. Expensive and left a gross taste in my mouth. Do not come.

Maître artisan - Papilla Glacier Nice Saint-Francois is a must-visit spot in Old Town Nice. The ice cream and sorbet are delicious, plentiful, and naturally made. The service is exceptional, with friendly staff creating an inviting atmosphere. The simple flavors like pineapple, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry are highly recommended for their quality and rich texture.
Papilla Ice Cream in Nice is truly something special. The ice cream is creamy, smooth, and bursting with real flavor. But the chocolate? Absolutely next level—rich, velvety, and unforgettable. Every bite is pure joy. The place itself is clean and charming, and the staff are warm and friendly. You can tell everything is made with care and passion. I’ve tasted ice cream all over, but Papilla in Nice stands out as the best. If you’re in town, don’t miss it—it’s a true treat. 🍦

The most amazing ice cream on the planet. Joel and Alex are simply awesome and can’t wait to give you some samples of the most incredible ice cream made. Every night we stopped there for our dessert and tried many flavors all an exquisite explosion of flavor in our mouth. We hope you enjoyed your gift from my wife and myself. You made our vacation memorable.

My fiancé loves gelato and we’ve tried many places around the world. We were a bit disappointed by the lavender flavor here, as it really lacked taste. The lemon was decent but not much different from what you’d find elsewhere. The selection was also quite limited, though it was the end of the day, which might explain that. On the positive side, the gentleman serving us was very kind. Overall, our expectations were a little higher given the strong reviews.

The ice cream was delicious! We could try the flavours and the man behind the counter was very nice. He even made a beautiful unicorn in our ice cream because he was impressed by our French. We will definitely go again

🍦 A Hidden Gem in Nice You Must Try! 🌟 This ice cream shop is pure joy in every scoop! The flavors are incredibly tasty and smooth—each bite feels like a little celebration. But what truly makes this place special is the owner: so kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making people happy. We went two nights in a row after dinner because we simply couldn’t resist—it became our sweet little tradition. If you’re in Nice, do yourself a favor and stop by. It’s not just dessert, it’s a delightful experience. 💖 Highly recommended for anyone who loves great ice cream and even greater vibes

Great gelato here! I actually tried the Dubai chocolate because the owner recommended it and it was a really delicious pistachio flavor. When you’re strolling around the old town, this is the place to stop by for your 3 Euro gelato fix.

No reason this shouldn’t be considered the best ice cream in Nice. The staff is very friendly, and you can try different flavors without any problem. I had the mango, and it was the most delicious mango ice cream I’ve ever had. Prices start from just €3.

This was one fo the foods in Nice we did not get to try so we found this place on our way to the tram. Super easy to order and nice employees. This was a huge sandwich! We didn't eat this until we got back home in the Netherlands but it was still tasty. Had tuna, hard boiled eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, olives and anchovies. Nice sandwich and glad they gave a solid portion.

DO NOT GO! Wish I could give this place zero stars. Worker was incredibly rude and yelled and shooed us out of the area after giving them business. Food was not worth the disrespectfulness and impoliteness. It was truly not that good. This area has SO many better places with better service, prices, and menus. I strongly advise you visit these and genuinely would not recommend to anyone.

This is the cafe where I ordered ice americamo, but got first hot americano, then the americano with the ices filled in the same americano, and lastly ice mocha. At the end, argued with the waiter about the difference between ice americano and other cold drink he served. Also, found a hair on the ice cream. Looks good from outside, but unfortunately the service, hospitality and the quality are quite disappointing.

One of the worst experience in Nice, me and my friend wanted to eat dessert and grab a coffee, there was hair in ice cream, we wouldn’t even mention it, however my friend ordered the ice americano, which should be simple to do, at first they brought hot americano, which was not a problem but they took it and put some ice inside of hot americano, we told them it is not acceptable so they brought another coffe which was something different (could not even identify) eventually they were able to do ice americano, instead we only got a bad experience.

With locations spanning Europe, the United States, and Japan, Grom has maintained its commitment to quality and authenticity. Their gelato is crafted with fresh ingredients, offering flavors like caramel infused with pink Himalayan salt and rich Venezuelan chocolate.
Gelato was so refreshing and decadent on a hot day!! I got the lemon and chocolate hazelnut, and it was the best lemon sorbet I’ve ever had, and the chocolate hazelnut was just right. This location was a small stop-in store but the patio is open and has plenty of seats. There are many locations of Grom all over France and Italy, so I’d recommend stopping by!

Was surprised with the customer service at this place. The table wasn’t cleaned. (staff had time but she was busy chatting with other staff ). The staff was busy entertaining other staffs working at the restaurant across. We weren’t ask for our pass sanitaire for dining in. The server seems to forgot my espresso after waiting for a while and giving signal that we are done. Anyways, owner should do checks sometimes. I will not be happy if this is how my staff works when im not around.

Authentic and delicious gelato with an absolute gem of an owner! The pistachio gelato was full of flavour and the cashew flavour was really unique too. As it was right around the corner from our apartment, this was our go-to for baguettes. When they were fresh and warm, they were superb and it smelled so good in there! We really didn't interact with the staff a whole lot, except to ask for a baguette as payment is all automatic, so we can't speak a whole lot about service except they seemed indifferent whenever we'd order. Nonetheless, the baguettes were always delicious and we would definitely recommend.

Amour is a restaurant elevating the concept of brunch to a tasty formula, with mouth-watering savory and sweet options. I tried the quiche, omelette, and granola, and I would recommend all—especially the vinaigrette on the salad! The setting is simple, clean, and minimal, and the service is detail-oriented, accurate, and knowledgeable about the menu—focused on the clients' needs and desires. Wi-Fi is available, and there are plugs on the walls! As a final comment, I really appreciated the cotton tablecloth and the effort put into building a zero-waste and sustainable offering. Thanks for the great lunch—I'm looking forward to visiting again!

Unfortunatley there aren't a lot of vegan options in Nice. Thankfully we discovered this fantastic place. The owner is very nice and has a great variety of vegan products. The cakes and cookies are phenomenal, be ready to spend some time deciding what to have because everything looks perfect and it tastes even better! It’s a must stop for every celiac/gluten intolerant/vegan person visiting Nice, and my only issue is that I didn’t have more time in the city to come back here and try some more of their dishes and their patisserie. This is a review for the gelato shop that stood at this location in May 2022. I stopped here for gelato or granitas three days in a row with no apparent issue. The staff and food were fine. However, later when I checked my credit card, I realized they had been overcharging me or double-charging me. For example, one day I bought one scoop of gelato, which should've cost 2 or 3 euro... And they had charged me 30 euros! Not sure if this was intentional or not, as I had already left Nice by this point. But if I hadn't thought to check my credit card transactions, they would've gotten away with charging me about 80 euros for like three scoops of ice cream.

lady seemed a bit fâché sais pas pourquoi et the ice cream wasn’t that good. also everywhere else i’ve eaten ice cream in nice and south france is 1 boule pour €2.50 but this one was €3 and not even that good.
Abbiline M — Google review
One of the cheaper ice cream places in the 'vielle ville' area in Nice. 2 euros for '1 boule/1 scoop' of ice cream. Price is same here (and in the rest of Nice's ice cream shops) regardless of regular cup or waffle cone. Do not recommend this one - had the cheesecake and it wasn't the strangest least cheesecake-like ice cream I'd ever tasted. Perhaps if you tried to make frozen yogurt taste like ice cream it would taste like this. Perhaps. There were also some chunks of something doughy that they had put all over the ice cream to add some flavor - they took away from the cheesecake flavor actually. I would not recommend coming here - pay the extra 50 centimes and get fenocchio. Lady behind the counter was not friendly at all - seemed annoyed to have been bothered.

RUDE! I was craving some Ice cream and a slush on a hot summer day but I hadn't eaten breakfast so I went to grab breakfast. however, i thought I'd grab my slush in the meantime. i ask the lady if I could buy one and she yelled at me " can't you see they're not ready"...How am i supposed to know ?.... I then asked, when can i come back?...she replied, "How am I supposed to know, i can't predict how long it'lll take"....I decided to go away and did not bother returning. I decided to go next door to their competitor and they had amazing ice cream and much more variety of flavors as well so, yea. Maybe she was just having a bad day. It was still opening time so maybe that is why she was agitated. Whatever though. I'm OK haha. Would I come back? Maybe.

Charming cafe with vegan options and delicious homemade Vegetable Soup, Pastries and delicious Coffee and Tea. We enjoy this cafe very much and very often. Recently we tried their Chicorée “Vegan” Cappuccino and Cortado, scrumptiously delicious especially with their “homemade” Almond Milk, SUPERB. 😋😋😋😋😋😋 Everyone in the Cafe is delightful and welcoming, truly a wonderful experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, 😋😋😋😋

The dirty chai latte with oat milk was divine. My husband got a chestnut latte with oat milk and it's the best cup of coffee we've had in Nice. The sales fromage scone was flavorful and light, a perfect salty midday snack. The peanut butter chocolate scone was sweet and reminded me of a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back!

Customers praise the delicious pastries, reasonable prices, and friendly staff who speak English well.
Wonderful patisserie, all pastries I have tried there are delicious. The presentation is also superb, I was pleasantly impressed by the place. The prices were also a surprise, by the quality of the product, the prices are very affordable. Highly recommended the visit

Maison Armand is a must-visit in Nice! Their pastries and breads are simply outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and crafted with so much care. The croissants and desserts are heavenly, and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. The staff are welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. A perfect spot whether you’re grabbing breakfast, a quick snack, or taking something sweet home. Highly recommended!

Edited. Visited 3 times at a different time of day. Good pastries. Service was painfully slow. If you want just baguettes to go it takes FOREVER due to people taking orders also making food. The process for attending to customers makes NO sense. Many items sold out later in the day. I really want to love this place but Bio Broad down the street or the second location on Rue de France is better.

A beautiful gem hidden in Nice just a short walk from the sea. The patient and kind staff helped our family get a true taste of France we will not soon forget. They were patient with our family speaking in English and putting up with my broken French. They pasteries, breads, and macarons were simple divine. Warning to new customers you will be hyponotized and enchanted by the beautiful selection that looks almost too pretty to eat. The pricing was very fair and the croissants were to die for. Thank you for the memories!

!!! TERRIBLE RUDENESS AND DISCRIMINATION AGAINST FOREIGN GUESTS Visited Patisserie Armand and was extremely disappointed. At Patisserie Armand, the worst thing is the behavior of the cashiers behind the counter. She takes the order already with irritation, doesn’t want to explain anything, and speaks rudely, as if the customer is a nuisance. The younger staff in particular are openly rude and act as if they don’t care at all. The staff is consistently rude and disrespectful. You immediately feel that tourists and foreign guests are not respected here. It seems like they don’t care about their reputation. The only solution would be to fire the entire team in one day and hire people who at least know how to treat guests politely. We already knew they had outdoor tables, so we specifically said to go, since we never planned to sit inside. But it turned out they have a ridiculous rule: if the order is “takeaway,” you cannot sit at their tables — neither inside nor outside. They even refused to give us a spoon. The staff spoke irritably, as if we were disturbing them. Where else would you see such a thing? Even in McDonald’s or at gas stations, you can order takeaway, sit at a table, and still get a disposable spoon, fork, or straw. Here — rudeness and absurd rules that customers are somehow expected to guess. As for the food — there is nothing special about it. The croissants were not tasty and not fresh, desserts were very ordinary, and certainly not worth waiting in line for. This is just a regular bakery. Yes, the bread seemed fresh, but tourists don’t come for bread — we come for atmosphere, breakfast, or desserts, and none of that is here. We were very disappointed and will never return. We do not recommend this place to anyone. Just 100 meters away, Edmond Cafe has delicious breakfasts, excellent service, and genuine respect for guests. The contrast is huge. All those lines in front of Patisserie Armand are just an illusion. There are no unique croissants or desserts worth the hype. We were very disappointed and will never return. We do not recommend this place to anyone. After my visit, I read other customers’ reviews and saw the same complaints repeated: rude staff, waiters speaking only French, unwilling to explain anything. And what does the bakery reply? “We are surprised, it’s the first time we hear this.” But there are dozens of such reviews! When the hundredth guest writes about terrible service, and the response is always denial, it means this is not an accident — it’s a system. Why, after so many complaints, can’t they establish basic service standards and train their staff to speak respectfully with guests? This shows their attitude towards customers and their reputation.

Especially since she did not respect what I had asked her since I had asked for pale blue, instead of which I had dark blue.. frankly it is lamentable (Original) Très très déçue de mon gâteau d’anniversaire, comme vous pouvez le constater, les froufrous ne sont pas pochés dans le même sens, le 25 n’est même pas centré, et le prix ? 30€ pour ça.. 30€ pour de la génoise et de la crème au beurre grasse, aucun goût, très déçue, je ferais plus jamais appel à cette dame, même pour 15€ je l’aurais pas acheté ! This artisanal ice cream shop offers a solid selection of flavours—good quality and enjoyable, though not quite at the very top tier when it comes to artisanal craftsmanship. Located on a busy main street, it’s a popular spot, so finding seating can be tricky during peak times. That said, if you manage to grab a seat, it’s a comfortable place to relax and a fantastic location for people-watching while you enjoy your treat. Worth a visit if you’re nearby and in the mood for a good scoop in a lively setting.

When you enter this small shop, you won’t believe everything you see is made of chocolate. And yet… Cheese, sushi, shoes, flowers, purses, pens, credit cards, and so on… All chocolate! And what to say about their seasonal creations! Completely astonishing. From cartoon characters to abstract compositions, you won’t know where to look. But it wouldn’t be a 5-stars shop if it was JUST beautiful food. Taste-wise, too, there is something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for something delicate, something surprising, or just plain simple homemade chocolate, you will be served. A cute pink and green cafe next to the opera house and only steps away from Promenade des Anglais, I recommend this cafe for the waffles and sweets. I did take out both times I was here, but I kind of wished I had dined in. I got the Nutella and banana waffle with salad, and it was delicious. The waffle was fluffy but filling and there was a perfect balance of Nutella, banana pieces, and whipped cream. The staff were very friendly and had big, bright smiles. The prices are a little on the higher side, but it is in a tourist-type area, so I expected this. However, I personally felt the quality and taste of the food was worth the price.

One of the best patisseries in Nice. That millefeuille was something else. Light, fluffy and just absolutely delicious. It is constructed sideways which makes eating it much easier. I tried both the classic version as well as the one with raspberries. Both were equally delightful.

The absolute best raspberry macaroon sandwich (cream and lychee fruit in the middle). Actually located on Rue Fodérè not Rue Bavastro. Definitely worth finding.
Neil T — Google review
Bought a tiny coconut/lemon cake. Wasn't the cheapest, but looked very fancy. To be honest it looked better than it tasted, the coconut flavour was very subtle, the choco-crocant at the bottom was just ok (not much flavour either), but the lemon?/grapefruit?/yuzu? curd was a slap in the face. It was just not going well with the rest of the cake. It was bitter & sour & obnoxious and very unpleasant, completely taking control over any other flavour. I like citrus flavours a lot, and this one was not bad by itself, but not in this combination. In the end I just ate the coconut cream and threw the rest. I think maybe I should have bought some other, safer choice like the macaron or the chocolate cakes. I expected more.

I had the Balthazar which was good but a bit too heavy. It could have used something to make it a bit lighter / less intense. The white and milk chocolate mouse parts were good inside though. Bit weird the shop does not give you a wooden spoon or something to eat it with - I always get one when I am at top patisseries. So you will need to plan to enjoy it at home or bring something to eat it with on your own.

Delicious coffee and pastel del natas. Husband and I opted for the set lunch menu which is really great value - €13.50 for a coffee + pastel del nata + toastie. Service was wonderful by a really friendly lady who spoke great English. Atmosphere is lovely and decor is very boho chic - right up my street! Will be coming back for more pastel del natas...

(Translated by Google) (Uber order) The lamb portion was already great, then from the first bite I understood, their couscous is divine, delicious! I recommend it! The only downside is the small pot of hot sauce. Remember to write that it is! Why? Because if the person doesn't like spicy food, it will ruin the dish. Luckily, I love chili and I liked it (even if it wasn't super hot, just the right amount).

Louise Glaces Nice is a charming ice cream shop that stands out among the bustling options in the area. With its inviting atmosphere and rustic decor, it offers an authentic experience away from the more commercial spots. The flavors are nothing short of extraordinary, featuring delightful sorbets like cassis and myrtille that burst with freshness. Visitors rave about their delectable pastries and ice creams, all enjoyed under the warm sun while taking in stunning views of the sea.
Delicious flavors, both traditional and innovative. Have you ever had the violette one? Must try! We took a dégustation box of 6 flavors and enjoyed them at the waterfront 😊

The best ice-cream I ever tried. I don't normally like ice-cream but one day I passed by Louise's and I stopped and got 2 scoop, melon and pistachio and I was blown away how delicious it was. Next few days I stopped every day to get ice-cream and macaroons from there. My absolute favourite is the Bulgarian yogurt flavour. 100% recommend this palce. Can't wait to be back to Frace to try more.

Nice decent place to sit down and have a gelato. The location is convenient and near to the seaside. You do not have to walk too I side the old section if the town. It is well presented, clean and neat. Prices are ok. However, the taste is only reasonable. Not exceptional.
EG C — Google review
You could go to the loud artificial looking ice cream shop on the corner, or you could go to Louise, a smaller, far more authentic ice cream shop just round the corner with views down to the sea. Cassis and myrtille sorbet probably some of the BEST sorbets I have tried. Absolutely bursting with flavour. Delicious.
Kirsty S — Google review
Everyone gets one taste to try only. The sorbet is okay but not worth for 4.6. The mango is so normal, it tastes like dry mango, and the pear is totally not ok… btw the lavender one surprised us which is floral and not sweety. Lavender one is recommended only.

While on vacation, I thoroughly enjoyed starting my day at the Boulangerie Pâtisserie "Pianelli." The service provided by the friendly staff was exceptional. The coffee and pastries they served were of excellent quality as well. This bakery became a favorite spot for breakfast during my time off.
(Translated by Google) There are not many bakeries on Avenue de la République and I particularly like this one for the quality of its products (pastries, sandwiches, coffee) and for the service we receive there. Too bad there are no freshly squeezed juices (just the usual cold drinks). To eat, you can sit inside or on the outdoor terrace. The boss has a strong personality and that makes the place even nicer 😉 (Original) Les boulangeries ne sont pas nombreuses sur l'avenue de la République et j'apprécie particulièrement celle-ci pour la qualité de ses produits (viennoiseries, sandwiches, café) et pour le service qu'on y reçoit. (Translated by Google) Absolutely all the products from this bakery are delicious!!! I know at least half of the bakeries in Nice and I can assure you that it is the best by far. Very warm welcome, an incredible choice even though the surface area is rather limited, everything is very plentiful for a ridiculous price and yet it is a wealthy area. There are even lunch options. I saw a comment saying that the pissaladière was too brioche with little onion and well I can tell you that it's quite the opposite 😄 it's really good and creamy. The only slight downside is the slightly excessive price of the gnocchi but they looked even more beautiful than in old Nice so it may be justified. Congratulations to you and thank you for what a great job you do! I have brought you customers and I will continue to do so see you very soon thank you 😊 (Original) Absolument tous les produits de cette boulangerie sont succulents !!!

As a proper matcha enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for new places to sample their offerings. Well, my girlfriend stumbled upon this gem on Google, Chez Panda, and honestly, they deserve all the fuss they're getting. Their matcha drinks are absolutely brilliant, and their matcha mille crepe cakes, OMG, they're something else! Apparently, it's the only spot in Nice where you can get mille crêpe. They taste top-notch. I'm kicking myself that we didn't find this place at the start of our trip. We popped in four times, and I reckon we'd have been there every single day if we'd known sooner. Those cakes were just so amazingly  good! But it's not just about the cakes and matcha.  The service is smashing, and they make you feel welcome. They're genuinely happy to see you, and they make sure you're looked after properly. Five stars it is, because that's the top what  you can give. This place is a shining example of how cafes should treat their customers. If we ever find ourselves back in Nice, Chez Panda will be our first port of call, no doubt about it. So, if you've bothered to read this lengthy ramble, don't waste time! Get yourself down to Chez Panda and sample their marvellous matcha creations. You won't regret it, I tell you!

Maison Mayel - Pâtisserie orientale is a delightful pastry shop located near Place Mozart in Nice. It offers a variety of exquisite oriental pastries that are neither too sweet nor too bland, making them an absolute delight. The talented pastry chef crafts these delicate and fine treats with great skill, ensuring a truly enjoyable experience for anyone with a sweet tooth.
(Translated by Google) A stone's throw from Place Mozart in Nice, there is a pretty little gourmet Ali Baba shop where an adorable fairy from the other side of the Mediterranean is in charge. With her delicate and very skillful hands, she creates and concocts multiple sweet delights. Fine and succulent sweet Tunisian dishes and also delicious little savory appetizers to order will delight your guests for your birthday parties, your wedding banquets, your farewell drinks or your meals with family, friends or lovers, in their giving a tasty touch of the Orient. These Tunisian pastries that we all love are presented in the form of beautiful and appetizing sweets that can be enjoyed without remorse because they are light and not very fatty and above all without moderation, because they are so addictive. Being a fan of these cakes from my childhood, I can tell you that it is the only Tunisian pastry in Nice with such a level of taste and refinement. If perfection of oriental specialties exists, it is at this wonderfully gourmet place, rue Auber in Nice. Run there without hesitation. When you get home and start tasting an assortment of these wonders, close your eyes, the flavor of the spices will transport you to Tunisia immediately. Bakery
Boulangerie les Etoiles is a welcoming bakery that offers high-quality baguettes and a wide variety of products to choose from. The Arabic specialties they offer are particularly recommended, as they are the bakery's unique selling point. The bakery is known for its excellent quality and friendly staff. Additionally, they serve delicious and affordable croissants.
Nice little boulangerie, very good prices and friendly staff. Have to spend 6.50 minimum if using card payment. Easily done with the pastries and cakes on offer!

(Translated by Google) An exceptional bakery! As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted with a smile and a delicious smell of fresh bread. The products are quality, whether bread, pastries or pastries. Everything is homemade with fresh ingredients and it shows in every bite. I love their croissants, and their baguette which is simply irresistible. The boss is always very friendly and attentive. A real pleasure on each visit, I highly recommend this bakery for good pastries! (Original) Une boulangerie exceptionnelle !

(Translated by Google) It was near my Airbnb accommodation, so I visited at 12 noon and was impressed by the freshly made baguettes! The bread was so delicious that I visited in the evening, and the staff greeted me kindly even though it was closing, so I was able to eat delicious bread at a reasonable price! Be sure to visit!!🥰 (Original)

(Translated by Google) Dismal welcome. A young saleswoman who has no sense of friendliness or courtesy. A hello and a smile is the minimum required when working with customers. (Original) Accueil lamentable. Une jeune vendeuse qui n'a aucun sens de l'amabilité ni de la courtoisie. Un bonjour et un sourire c'est le minimum requis quand on travaille avec de la clientèle.

(Translated by Google) I just bought some Arabic bread. The bread is hard as a rock, 3/4 of it is inedible. My sister told me that she had bought a msemen a few days ago, it had a musty taste, it was literally expired. I don't know what to say, the hygiene rules must be deplorable. You are selling products that are unfit for consumption. Otherwise, she told me that your fricassees were excellent… So please be diligent about the production date of the products you put on sale.

(Translated by Google) This place is a little gem. The bread and croissants are OK but you should especially go there for the different North African breads offered as well as the fricassees It’s a shame that the smile is not always there, but the atmosphere remains unique (Original) Cet endroit est une petite pépite. Le pain et les croissants sont corrects mais il faut surtout y aller pour les différents pains maghrébins proposés ainsi que les fricassés Dommage que le sourire ne soit pas toujours au rendez-vous, mais l'ambiance reste unique
