We stumbled upon Fenocchio while wandering through Old Town Nice, and it instantly became one of our favorite stops. Tucked away in the charming Place Rossetti, right next to the cathedral, this little ice cream spot feels like a sweet escape from time. What really won us over (besides the super friendly service) was the unreal variety of flavors — nearly 100! From classics like chocolate and pistachio to the completely unexpected (hello, cactus and tomato-basil), it was so fun trying something totally new. Our surprise favorite? Violet. Light, floral, and so unique — we’re still thinking about it. The prices are more than fair for the location and portions — around €3.50 for a generous scoop. There might be a line, but trust us, it’s worth the wait. The whole experience — delicious gelato, buzzing little square, sunshine, and people-watching — felt like a scene out of a movie. Bonus: they’ve got two locations in Nice if you're nearby. Would absolutely come back — and next time, we’re trying the avocado flavor. A place with a long history and a beautiful atmosphere. The selection of ice cream was so vast that it was hard to decide at first. 🍨The consultant kindly informed me that they currently have 99 different flavors! There are flavors that will definitely surprise you: olive, tomato-basil, and other "salty" varieties. I tried the guava sorbet, which turned out to be incredibly delicious and refreshing, as well as the tomato-basil and olive flavors. 🍦 I recommend visiting – it's a charming spot on an equally charming city square✨.

Sooooo many flavors!! You can get a bowl or a cone and you can try as many flavors as you would like as you pay by flavor/scoop. There are so many unique flavors and they also have your regular ones. There is a sitting area across the walking area where you can sit and eat. There will always be a line (short or long), but it goes fast and totally worth it.

Yummy gelato! Comes with sooo many varieties of flavours. The flavour choices got a little overwhelming but if we had more time I would like to try more. They got VERY PACKED around 9:30-10pm. A bunch of people gathering in front but with so many staffs they were able to take care of everyone without too much waiting time. There are also a few other branches around old nice as well.

Fantastic gelato! Super popular but they do have a lot of staff so don’t be intimidated by long queue. Orange blossom and chilli Choclate are pretty awesome! We tried a few different flavors and all are amazing.

The almond croissants are delicious! Crispier than others but very good. I was with my twin one year olds, who were cranky and crying in the stroller, shortly after the bakery opened to pick up croissants to go. The bakery’s card system wasn’t working and the kind staff allowed me to take 3 croissants for 5 Euro, it was all the cash I had. Very, very sweet! (Just to clear my conscious, I did visit again and overpaid to makeup the difference.)

Boulangerie with extremely tasty goods and desserts! We had: - Baguette with tomatoes and mozzarella, one with ham and cheese: both super fresh, the bread was warm, crispy and the taste was beyond this world 🥖🎉 - Creme brulee: wow...just wow. Every creme brulee should taste like that. - Pain au Chocolat: the layers were so crispy and yet so sweet and chocolatey. Delicious. The owner of the store is really kind, it might be a day full of customers but somehow they take care of you in a timely manner. I was amazed. Really good. 5/5🌟

Every morning we stopped by for coffee americain with hot milk on the side and an ever more delicious pastry - all prepared efficiently and pleasantly. In fact, contrary to other reviews, although rushed off their feet, the service was never less than courteous. So good I had to go 2 days in a row. The first time for breakfast—the almond croissant was incredible!! The next day we tried sandwiches and salads for lunch. It’s popular and crowded but the staff were patient and friendly with all. We tried this ice cream place based on the good reviews but unfortunately it did not delivered for us. Some of the flavors tasted artificial. Azzurro Artisan Glacier is a cash-only ice cream shop in the historic part of Nice. Of the vast assortment of flavors, you’ll even find lavender and fig. I tried the fig and wanted more! Conveniently located near several key sites in Nice’s old town, don’t miss the ice cream at Azzurro.

Before heading to the beach 2 days ago, I saw this patisserie and wanted to buy some macarons, and bought a cake too which I was told was the most liked one, and to say they were delicious would be an understatement. All of the macarons were super fresh and light, perfect to eat under the summer sun, and the cake was super balanced within its flavours and they were finished within minutes. If I ever come to Nice again, I am going to buy so much more.

Gave us broken macarons — we came right at 18:45, but regardless, this is unacceptable. LAC, do better. I know I’m a tourist, but that’s utterly unacceptable. Do NOT recommend this location.

This Gelato is to die for! We were in Nice France and could not help to stop at Amorino. Mango and Lemon I felt as if I was eating a fresh mango and lemon! Sooo delicious Staff so charming!

Total rip-off!! Run away! I came here last year and only got one scoop, but they gave me the amount of two scoops. Then in Italy, I realized ice cream is measured by cups, so I assumed it would be the same in Nice. This time, they promised four flavors, so I assumed it would be by cup again. Nope—new owner this year (didn’t see him last year) measures by spoon!! Four scoops ended up being barely more than last year’s portion, and it cost €11. The guy just pushes his ice cream cart outside, no wonder all the other ice cream places are crowded while his is almost empty. The flavors are fewer than last year, and even when you take the ice cream out, no one seems interested. Honestly, the more I eat, the more annoyed I get. The guy running it can go spend his money on medicine for all I care! Don’t pay more than €2 here—total rip-off! Suddenly Italian gelato feels so cheap…

If you love ice cream, this the place to have it in a waffle cone! Their waffle cones are the best I've ever had – crispy, incredibly yummy, and perfect for scooping up those tasty creamy ice cream bites. There were days we would go to this place twice a day just to taste the different ice cream flavors (pistachio, hazelnut, and strawberry were just amazing). They’re sourcing the best hazelnuts for their ice cream, harvested from Piedmont, Italy. You’ve got to try it!😋 On top of that, the owners make amazing espresso coffees (both to-go and for sit down) and deserts!

Came here before hopping on our train to leave Nice and it was the perfect place to kill time. I wasn’t expecting to find much resembling the culture of American specialty coffee in France, so I was super happy that they offered pour overs here. I got that, an espresso, a quiche, and my wife got a latte. My only complaint was that we ordered an iced latte and hot latte (which was still really wonderful). Would be happy to come back!

Great croissant aux almonds. Small place that had a regular flow of people while we were there. She had the breakfast meal and it was very good. This place was a little out of the way for us but worth the walk. This part of town is very easy for walking. We got a sandwiche au jambon for the walk to our next stop and it was totally worth it.

So, we ended up at this place, but they didn’t have a table for us to sit at. And to top it off, they didn’t have coffee either! So, we had to order some coffee to take home and then go to another place to grab a cup. But hey, the croissant was absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a pretty good experience.

You can’t say it’s not good quality… Croissants are normal, wouldn’t say that they’re extraordinary. Sweets are just right. But when sitting inside, you’d expect to get normal cutlery other than paper ones or normal glass cups for the coffee at least.

My wife and I have been in Nice for a week and stumbled upon Philippe Tayac Patisserie courtesy of a TikTok (rare for it to be reliable lol). To our surprise this was the best croissant and pain au chocolat we’ve had. Not to mention, their pistachio creme croissant was so decadent. We went for a morning swim and it was too heavy to have beforehand but we each took a bite. Otherworldly. I am happy we found it now rather than after we left. This MUST be on your Nice list!

This is my favorite place to grab a New York Roll, it's the most delicious one I have found yet. It's a beautiful shop and the presentation is gorgeous, which is why these treats are a bit expensive. Definitely worth trying! Keep in mind this is not a shop to sit and eat, it's tiny with one little table. More of a grab and go situation!

There’s not even that much of a queue. The inside looks super professional, the person working there will talk to you as a 5 star hotel receptionist. We took 3 different croissants, paying quite a lot, but from the first bite I must be sincere about this: it was nothing special.

This small café was really nice. The staff was excellent, I ordered a yogurt parfait and chai for breakfast. Both were delicious. My yogurt had fresh cut fruit and a lot of granola. It was a good portion. My chai was very good as well. I'd recommend this place for a nice quick breakfast.

My husband and I went 3x in a day to Cesar as we loved the ice cream so much, the 3 flavours we chose had lots of pistachio bits in it. Fleur du Liban is the most unique ice cream I have ever eaten and my number 1 favorite, it tasted like the one of the Indian nut desserts. Will definitely come back here to try the other flavours when I am back in Nice!

Loved Cesar Gelato! In a picturesque main street in beautiful Nice, the shop is buzzing and has a range of delicious sorbet and gelato flavours to choose from including Southern French delights like citron and lavender! On a hot day i opted for chocolate. Soooo good! Cozy little restaurant with a sweet interior design, makes you feel like you're a guest in the Bretagne. We visited at around 9pm in the evening and had to take another stroll around the port so we'd have a table afterwards. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming and caring. Their service is fast and attentive. And of course the CRÊPE are delicious. The Creperie du port offers a variation of sweet and savory crepes as well as hot and cold beverages. Definitely worth a visit when in Antibes. Show this cute place some love! Especially their well organized and nice staff!

How lucky we were to find this the first day of the week we were in Nice! We went back at least three times!! Strawberry and mango, great! Stracciatella, great! Monte Carlo (coffee, chocolate and fudge), out of this world! It's also great that they're open late.

At the heart of many shops and a day market area. Staff are friendly and the gelato is very good. We had the chestnut and hazelnut. Hazelnut tasted buttery and creamy and the chestnut was tasty and had a lot of flavor and it was very sweet. There are seats inside and outside so there is a choice of atmosphere.

Came across this place after a walk during night time. It had a bit of a queue so we instantly thought it must be good. There were so many dessert options to choose from but we still wanted to go for a walk so we opted for hot chocolate and churros and they were very tasty!

Super place of greediness in Nice. I really liked the nutella waffle, simple but very very good and the value for money is great. The decoration is very nice and especially the staff is really welcoming and keeps a radiant smile even at late hours. Some places refuse us 15min before and others are ready to receive us until the last second. My fiancé loves gelato and we’ve tried many places around the world. We were a bit disappointed by the lavender flavor here, as it really lacked taste. The lemon was decent but not much different from what you’d find elsewhere. The selection was also quite limited, though it was the end of the day, which might explain that. On the positive side, the gentleman serving us was very kind. Overall, our expectations were a little higher given the strong reviews.

We wanted to escape the heat in the afternoon when the temperature was 35C and found this cosy ice cream shop/cafe by chance. Not only the gelato was tasty with real flavours, but also staff were friendly and nice and it was clean and spacious inside.

This was one fo the foods in Nice we did not get to try so we found this place on our way to the tram. Super easy to order and nice employees. This was a huge sandwich! We didn't eat this until we got back home in the Netherlands but it was still tasty. Had tuna, hard boiled eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, olives and anchovies. Nice sandwich and glad they gave a solid portion.

This is the cafe where I ordered ice americamo, but got first hot americano, then the americano with the ices filled in the same americano, and lastly ice mocha. At the end, argued with the waiter about the difference between ice americano and other cold drink he served. Also, found a hair on the ice cream. Looks good from outside, but unfortunately the service, hospitality and the quality are quite disappointing.

One of the worst experience in Nice, me and my friend wanted to eat dessert and grab a coffee, there was hair in ice cream, we wouldn’t even mention it, however my friend ordered the ice americano, which should be simple to do, at first they brought hot americano, which was not a problem but they took it and put some ice inside of hot americano, we told them it is not acceptable so they brought another coffe which was something different (could not even identify) eventually they were able to do ice americano, instead we only got a bad experience.

The staff was busy entertaining other staffs working at the restaurant across. We weren’t ask for our pass sanitaire for dining in. The server seems to forgot my espresso after waiting for a while and giving signal that we are done. Anyways, owner should do checks sometimes. I will not be happy if this is how my staff works when im not around.

This location is apparently never open. Grom is one of my favorite gelatterias from Italy and the one in NYC is fantastic too, but this place lists opening hours for weekends only and even that was wrong and they were closed when we went at 3pm on a Saturday.

I went to this place based on my friend’s recommendation as one of the best gelato to try in Nice. And l gotta admit it was ! The Romanian guy was really sweet enough to let me taste different flavours , since he ran out of the main flavour l wanted to have. I not only enjoyed the gelato , l also enjoyed talking with him which he had really nice smile and good English level. He gave me some candies and nice enough to say hi to my friend who recommended the place. I wish him really nice vacation in Georgia in the future :)

Absolutely loved Balata! The woman working there was super kind and even stayed overtime just to serve us, such a lovely gesture. What a little vegan gem in Nice! Just a few minutes away from the main pedestrial area this is the perfect spot for lunch. the omelette salad and quiche were both really good. Also the daily formula with the cake for 10 euros is pretty good value for money. only sad note is that by lunch time all the cakes were mostly sold out;(

Unfortunatley there aren't a lot of vegan options in Nice. Thankfully we discovered this fantastic place. The owner is very nice and has a great variety of vegan products. We ate a couple of very tasty cakes and pastries. (I really recommend the banana bread!) But also the savory options like the omlette or quiche are great.

The cakes and cookies are phenomenal, be ready to spend some time deciding what to have because everything looks perfect and it tastes even better! This is a review for the gelato shop that stood at this location in May 2022. I stopped here for gelato or granitas three days in a row with no apparent issue. The staff and food were fine. However, later when I checked my credit card, I realized they had been overcharging me or double-charging me. For example, one day I bought one scoop of gelato, which should've cost 2 or 3 euro... And they had charged me 30 euros! Not sure if this was intentional or not, as I had already left Nice by this point. But if I hadn't thought to check my credit card transactions, they would've gotten away with charging me about 80 euros for like three scoops of ice cream.

A great selection of icecream and each one is out of this world. The staff is friendly and helpful and makes great recommendations for pairing the ice creams with each other. Sit outside and watch people and life go by in this old square in Old Nice.

I was craving some Ice cream and a slush on a hot summer day but I hadn't eaten breakfast so I went to grab breakfast. however, i thought I'd grab my slush in the meantime. i ask the lady if I could buy one and she yelled at me " can't you see they're not ready"...How am i supposed to know ?.... I then asked, when can i come back?...she replied, "How am I supposed to know, i can't predict how long it'lll take"....I decided to go away and did not bother returning. The dirty chai latte with oat milk was divine. My husband got a chestnut latte with oat milk and it's the best cup of coffee we've had in Nice. The sales fromage scone was flavorful and light, a perfect salty midday snack. The peanut butter chocolate scone was sweet and reminded me of a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back!
