Landmark
Villa Jovis, also known as Villa of Jupiter, is the remains of a lavish Roman palace constructed by Emperor Tiberius in AD 27 on a headland. The site offers stunning views and can be accessed by foot. According to historical accounts, the emperor indulged in luxury at this mountaintop villa, adorning it with explicit artwork and allegedly engaging in scandalous activities.
Visiting Villa Jovis was an unforgettable experience. The site is rich with history, and walking through the ruins where Emperor Tiberius once lived gives you a real sense of the ancient world. The views from the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking some of the most stunning panoramas you’ll see in Capri. It’s a bit of a hike to reach (about 40 minutes uphill from Capri town), so bring comfortable shoes and water, but it’s well worth the effort. The combination of history, atmosphere, and scenery makes Villa Jovis a must see for anyone visiting the island. Highly recommended if you love history, archaeology, or just want to enjoy some of the most beautiful views in Capri.
Euclides R — Google review
Visited October 2024. Approximately a one hour walk from Capri town the Villa is at the summit of Mount Tiberius - sounds daunting but not really. The path leading to the villa is paved/tarmac/concrete and is wheelchair (wheel) friendly. Having said that this is a two-thousand year old site, wheels would be very difficult once inside. A wonderful piece of history with a modest entrance fee and a relaxed atmosphere once inside. Restored in places but most of the structure looks authentically old. With panoramic views of The Bay of Naples including a fantastic view of Sorrento, if you make the effort you will be rewarded when you get there.
P B — Google review
A must visit for anyone going to Capri and interested in history. The ruins are not well preserved but still worth seeing and walking through. The walk from the port is not for the weak, particularly during the summer heat. Be prepared for equivalent of about 102 flights of stairs (per my garmin watch) to get there. Along the way, many grocers and shops to stop and get a refreshment to stay cool on the way up and dozens of places for lunch in the way down. Tip, don’t go to the places in busy touristy areas. Find a spot all by itself, there are many.
Sergio B — Google review
An large villa with a really interesting history. Read up on Tiberio Augusto before you visit and then let those stories come to life! Entrance is a reasonable price and the park next to it with the cliff top path is amazing. And ad its Capri through views are stunning.
Ben M — Google review
Get ready for quite the trek. A lot of stairs up and up hill walking. The history of this place interesting and the views were amazing, but I definitely would never do it again!
Natalie S — Google review
Ugo made this visit more than we could possibly have anticipated. Thanks Ugo! We happened to arrive in time for his post lunch tour of the grounds and we learned a great deal. His info and insight into the location and island were a genuine highlight of the trip to Capri. The villa itself is a surprisingly huge complex, with a major water collection system, strangely topped by a catholic chapel built above it before they realised Emperor Tiberius' palatial villa was underneath. Amazing views also from the chapel and the park next door where we saw goats for the only time on the 3 day visit. It's an uphill trek and there's a great 20min forest short cut across to Villa Lysis which is worth seeing in combination with Villa Jovis but bring a packed lunch or allow enough time. The gardens, houses and sleeping cats along the way made this an even better excursion. I started this review at 4 stars for Villa Jovis but the whole trip was 5 stars.
Josic C — Google review
Absolutely stunning views from Villa Jovis. The ruins themselves are interesting as well, but the five star views are the real reason to make the trek. There is another small park about 100m before the entry to Villa Jovis, which is worth a look as well. We stayed at Hotel Marmela and it was about a 35 minute walk along paved walkways and a few flights of stairs. The walkways are beautiful and very quiet before 1030 am. After that, you will start seeing the day tours. We were there at 1015 and were the only people at the Villa. 6 Euro entry fee and there are toilets at the site.
Patrick C — Google review
Worth the hike but be aware it is demanding with some steep segments to get there. The views are worth the hike. 6 euro entrance. Once inside you can walk around the site and take your photos. We did Villa Jovis first as soon as we got to Capri and then Natural Arch.

Specialty Museums
Museo Casa Rossa di Anacapri is a unique house built by a Confederate officer in the late 1800s. The Byzantine-style mosaic and Greek inscription at the entrance add to its charm. Inside, visitors can admire early 20th-century oil paintings of Capri and Naples, as well as three statues recovered from the Blue Grotto, believed to have been placed there by Tiberius during Roman times.
Amazing interesting place to visit. They have some sculptures from the 15 meters under the sea. Beautiful view from the roof
Anna B — Google review
The museum is not interesting and was a waste of time for us. The only thing of interest was a hall on the ground floor where we saw a few statues found in Blue Grotto.
Яна Т — Google review
Waste of time and money… Not much to see. The so called great view is just looking over all kinds of ugly roofs. I literally finished it in 15 minutes.
Traci F — Google review
You can skip this one. Some nice art gallery upstairs but I found the movie boring and the view from the roof is not the best in the area ..

Lighthouses
Punta Carena Lighthouse, located at the southwestern tip of Capri, is a renowned landmark overseeing the Tyrrhenian Sea. The lighthouse, built in 1866, stands tall on cliffs and offers breathtaking views of the sea. Visitors can enjoy sunset views and watch boats passing by from this picturesque spot. Additionally, there's a beach restaurant called Il Faro where guests can savor cocktails and tapas while taking in the natural beauty of the bay.
Beautiful spot. Empty when we were there but early in the season and still too cold for swimming. Took bus from Anacapri - easy, every 20 minutes.
Tom K — Google review
The soul of Capri at sunset There are lighthouses — and then there’s Punta Carena. Rising boldly from the cliffs of Anacapri, its red façade glowing against the Mediterranean blues, this spot is pure cinematic magic. Whether you arrive by land or sail past by boat, it catches your eye — and your breath. The view is iconic, especially at sunset, when the sky ignites and the sea turns gold. It’s not just beautiful — it’s emotionally moving. You feel like you’ve stumbled into a postcard that’s alive. The surrounding area is rugged and raw, yet welcoming, with sunbathers on the rocks and locals diving into crystalline waters. An unforgettable stop on any Capri itinerary. Bring your camera, your swimsuit — and if you can, stay for the sunset. You’ll carry it with you long after you’ve left.
SUR E — Google review
It's a beautiful spot that's conveniently located just a short bus ride from Anacapri. You'll find restaurants if you want to grab a bite, and there are good areas for swimming. A pleasant place to spend some time.
Alex K — Google review
Beautiful lighthouse in Capri. From here we can see a beautiful sunset. Head down near the water where you will find 2 snack bars. There is also a viewpoint nearby.
Fábio S — Google review
If you’ve ever wondered where Poseidon might retire, it’s probably here. The Punta Carena Lighthouse looks like it came straight out of a “Dramatic Isolation” travel brochure. Towering red-and-white, built in 1866, it’s said to be one of Italy’s most important lighthouses. These days it’s more of a photogenic icon where people come to look mysteriously windswept. We saw it from a boat – perched on the cliff like a grumpy old man who's seen too much sea. A few sunbathers around, sheer rocks straight out of a spaghetti western – you half expect Morricone’s music to start playing. If you're cruising by, raise your eyes, snap a pic, and let the lighthouse (and the sun) dazzle you. :)
Michael N — Google review
Beauty on earth. This place took my heart. Felt like all the troubles of the world felt so small while standing on the edge and watching the horizon. Nothing but clear blue sky and the waves hitting the cliffs. There are restaurants and places to chill nearby where you can go to refresh yourself with local cuisines and beverages. Taking a dip in the clean blue ocean never felt this good 💛
Yamini K — Google review
Good place for seeing the sunset. Nice swimming possibility. Gets deep right away, you can use the stairs to get in or just jump. Water shoes are recommended. Some people did cliff diving as well. There’s also a nice restaurant to watch the sunset from.

Giardini di Augusto, also known as the Gardens of Augustus, is a picturesque botanical garden located in Capri. The garden offers sweeping views of the sea and the village of Marina Piccola below. It features a footpath that leads to the village and provides a classic view of the Faraglioni rock formations.
No queue to entry, tickets can be purchased at a vending machine right outside (no cash accepted). The only wait i had to do is to take pictures at the watch points. The garden is not so big, but the view is breathtaking. 😄 Right next to the garden you will find the roof top bar which has excellent cocktails next to the same mesmerising view.
Hilda P — Google review
The gardens of Augustus is a beautiful mountaintop garden which has a few statues and benches but it's main selling point is the view at the top. If you are on a tour and don't have much time I would recommend, as it's easy enough to get to and is a stunning "Instagram worthy" spot. Of course you have to pay to get in which you can do via a QR code or buying tickets. You can pay in your own currency on the app, which I thought was cool. I think £4 for a tiny garden with a view is milking it though, I think it should be done on a donation basis. You'll have people everywhere posing at every which angle so find a few good spots, take some snaps and get out of there!
JB R — Google review
€2.50 per person for entry and not sure its worth it. It is essentially 10m2 of grass with some flowers, several view points towards the faraglioni and a couple more on the other side towards the Via Krupp. Some good views of the faraglioni rocks but lots of people in the way taking photos of course. The views are just as good at the roof terrace next door and you can have a drink whilst enjoying the view! Win win
B M — Google review
Beautiful views and definitely worth a visit to get some memorable pictures. Lots of places to sit and relax but you’re not allowed to eat there. Entry was €2.5 and definitely worth the views.
Tina S — Google review
Nice and well maintained gardens. Entrance fee of €2,50 a person. Plenty of scenic viewpoints. Make sure to arrive as early as possible to prevent having to navigate the tourist groups that start arriving as early as of 09:30. They open at 09:00, and since it’s a small garden between 09:00 and 09:30 is a very nice window to see it all in all tranquility.(excluding the via Krupp)
Evan — Google review
Lovely gardens atop of Capri full of colorful flower beds running along narrow paths, shady trees and statues - a peaceful oasis with gorgeous views. The small entry fee is certainly worth it, there is a vending machine inside selling cold bottled water for 1€. From there you can take the switch back path down to Marina Piccola, it took us about 30 minutes.
FLnurseER1 — Google review
After our ferry ride, we made our way to the Garden of Augustus. The views were truly magnificent, and the serene atmosphere made for a perfect escape. The vibrant colors of the flowers against the deep blue of the sea were a sight to behold. However, the experience was slightly marred by the cost of entry. It felt like a bit of a rip-off to pay €2.50 per person for such a small area. What was even more frustrating was the price of water. Having to shell out €2.50 for a tiny 300ml bottle felt like pure exploitation, especially on a hot day. It's a shame that a place of such natural beauty has to resort to such practices to squeeze every penny out of its visitors.
Pavan N — Google review
Lovely little garden in an amazing location. The statues and plants are very nice, and the grounds are very well maintained. The really impressive aspect is the surrounding architecture, particularly the switchback ramp leading all 100+ meters down to the sea.

Villa San Michele, located in Anacapri, is a historic villa known for its ancient art and sculptures. Once owned by Dr. Axel Munthe, the villa features a museum showcasing artifacts like a bust of Emperor Tiberius and an Egyptian Sphinx overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The surrounding gardens are filled with Mediterranean plants and offer breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius in the distance.
Although the journey there is challenging—especially on foot—it is absolutely worth it. This local gem boasts beautiful architecture and a truly stunning, expansive garden. Building the house in that exact spot was an inspired decision, as it offers a breathtaking view all year round. It is a must-visit.
Mihnea L — Google review
Villa San Michele is where Swedish order meets Italian beauty – with a view so stunning it might cure mild existential crises. Built in the 19th century by Swedish doctor Axel Munthe (clearly a man with a flair for the dramatic), the villa boasts ancient columns, marble sphinxes, and a panorama over the Bay of Naples that could stop time. Just be careful on the terrace – it’s not vertigo or love, it’s the uphill walk catching up with you. :)
Michael N — Google review
If you come to Anna Capri Italy, you must come here and check out this amazing Villa. The history is very interesting. The ruins he brought back from mainland, Italy, and Rome, as well as Pompeii are amazing to look at.
Jerry Z — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking art and views — definitely a must-see if you have the time. There are plenty of great shops and restaurants nearby, as well as the lift to the highest point of Capri. You can take a taxi to the square and then walk about 10 minutes to the museum, or choose to walk the full 50 minutes from Capri’s main square. Be aware, though, that the walk is quite challenging — you’ll need to climb around 986 steps to reach the museum!
Logan P — Google review
One of my new most favourite places on Earth. So amazing, calm and beautiful gardens with view. Very nice roof cafe. Hope to come back one day.

Villa Lysis, also known as Villa Fersen, is a stunning neoclassical villa located on the northern side of Capri. It was designed in 1905 for Count Jacques d'Adelsward-Fersen, a wealthy French poet who sought refuge on the island after facing scandals in France. The villa boasts opulent interiors, lush gardens with panoramic views, and a classical temple.
Villa Lysis in Capri is a dreamy spot with breathtaking views and a unique charm. The villa itself is steeped in history, with an eclectic style that reflects its artistic past. Walking through its rooms and gardens feels like stepping into another era. The peaceful ambiance makes it a perfect escape from the busier parts of Capri. If you’re into art, history, or just want a serene place to soak up the island’s beauty, Villa Lysis is a fantastic visit—ideally in the late afternoon for magical lighting!
Zeno C — Google review
Villa Lysis is breathtaking. It was worth walking 45 minutes from center of Capri. The path also is beautiful and you will see a lot of villas of local people and lots of lemon garden. When you arrive you will be surprised by the design and gardening of Villa Lysis from 1904. You can buy tickets in advance or inside of Villa.

This villa has a fantastic view to around. The garden is full of flowers and the building is open to visit. You can also go to roof of it to take photos.

What can I say! This was one of the most beautiful spots in Capri. The sea, the view, the villa and the quietness were perfect.
Thijs — Google review
SCAM! Don't purchase your ticket until you are at the Villa Lysis. We purchased tickets on the 29th of September at 1 PM at the Giardini di Augusto ticket's office. We then walked to the Villa Lysis (40 minutes climbing), and when we arrived, it was closed. Another dozen of people were in the same case than us. We called the phone number, which was not able to provide me with any information. They just told us to go back (another 40 minutes walking) to the ticket's office where we bought the ticket for reimbursement. When arrived at the ticket's office, they told us they didn't knew about the closure, and they couldn't reimburse us the tickets. They advised us to send an email to a manager, Mrs Frederico. We did it, and two days after, still no answer or any excuse. Such a poor client service, and a scam on top of it. This deserves to be signaled to the local police to prevent others to be scammed like us.

The Church San Michele, located in the heart of Anacapri at the foot of Mount Solaro, is a historic structure with ties to a convent. The church features an ornate 1700s floor adorned with colorful maiolica tiles. The surrounding area includes a lovely internal courtyard and a loggia that once connected the church to the convent.
Most magical moving experience visiting this magnificent piece of history. It took my breath away. I was fortunate to be in the Church alone and was delighted to learn about the history of the Church and Saint Michele. It is a very special institution and the lady at the reception is lovely. She was very informative and from what I understand Saint Michele killed the devil. The floors actually took 30 years to complete and the Church is from the 17th Century. Please don’t miss this. 2e entrance.

For 2 euro you can see something so unique and beautiful it actually feels like a daylight robbery. It's a small church, however the painting on the tiles on the floor which covers the whole church is amazing. You can see it in detail from the ground level and also go up to see the whole picture. There was also a cute small bird nest next to the window on the upper floor. I definitely recommend seeing it in Anacapri.

Certosa San Giacomo Capri is a 14th-century Carthusian monastery known for its diverse architecture, frescoes, and stunning views of the sea. The monumental complex features impressive cross, barrel, and coffered vaults that are typical of the island's architecture. It is situated near the Augustus Gardens, offering a classic view of the Faraglioni rocks.
Stunning venue for art and example of 14th century Caprese architecture. The building has a storied past with faded frescos and long, empty hallways. It has a mysterious air with mildly overgrown areas and clean, but empty rooms with amazing views of the sea. The art exhibition is like nothing I've ever seen with the natural lighting highlighting the oil paintings which were already expressive and dramatic. Off season, it was €6 for two people (cash only), and fully worth the quiet, off-the-beaten path exploration.
L L — Google review
Fantastic art and history museum carefully placed within a former monestary. The art is well-curated, and the monstary building is unique and beautiful. The history exhibit features artifacts of the Roman Imperial family related to their residence on Capri, which also includes a number of statues, busts, and other art. There is a stunning seaside view in a balcony on this part of the museum.

Enjoyed the quiet serenity in this mostly empty rooms, long halls and courtyards. Church has some interesting frescoes. Also there is a museum (didn’t go) and gallery. Also great bathrooms!

The Certosa San Giacomo is a beautiful and peaceful spot in Capri, full of history and charm. The monastery dates back centuries, and walking through its courtyards, cloisters, and halls gives a real sense of the island’s past. The architecture is striking, and the grounds are well maintained, making it a relaxing place to explore away from the busier areas of Capri. There was no wait to enter when we visited, and tickets did not need to be booked in advance, which made it easy and stress free. From here, you also get some great views of the sea and surrounding landscape. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re interested in history, architecture, or just want a quiet and beautiful escape in Capri.

Bought an under 18 ticket on their website for me on a school trip for a solo visit. And it was free!! Was able to buy the tickets before our trip, and received an email with the online ticket and qr code. Update today I visited the museum/monument and it was AMAZING. It was so big and the inner garden and outer garden was so pretty. And the religous paintings were very interesting and very big! I also spotted a cat sleeping in the grass. WORTH VISITING. And it is located just beyond the street of designer shops.

I'm a little surprised about the bad reviews. I was totally stunned by the historic location, huge halls, stunning paintings and the museums exhibiting antique art. Definitely a must-see and offering a lot!

Empty halls, empty rooms, overgrown gardens. Where is all interior? Does anybody take care of this place? There is a nice view from the terrace, but still - nothing that much better than the thousands other terraces around the island. Capri Philosophical Park is a serene and rustic park located near Anacapri, offering wooded trails adorned with ceramic plaques featuring aphorisms by renowned philosophers. The park consists of three paths dedicated to different philosophical themes: Idealism, Realism, and Wisdom. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the Via Migliera, taking in the picturesque Capri countryside and magnificent views from Belvedere della Migliara.
If you go to Anacapri you really need to stop here. A "hidden" gem. Such a nice and quiet park. The moss and trees everywhere make you feel tucked away. Reading all the philosophical quotes along the trail being much needed introspection.

Accidentally stumbled across this charming little park while at a wedding. There must be a hundred little plaques with all sorts of philosophical quotes. We got to watch the sun disappear behind the horizon from a bench at the top of the park. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend you take a quick detour through the park.

Very nice view of the lighthouse and surrounding scenery.

This park is a quiet escape from the hordes of tourists on Capri. Take the walk - about 45min to the edge of the island. The Philosophical park is interesting - but the real gem lies about 100 meters from there to the absolutely breath-taking view of the bay at the end of the island. The serenity is worth the walk. There is a restaurant just across from the Philosophical park. It is convenient - but the food was only so-so - but acceptable if not a tad bit expensive - perhaps it is hard to get to? Again - a beautiful view from there.

What a delight! A big thank you to owners of this place. I passed the park on my hike and was amazed by it- a very clever and generous use of private land to give people food for thought. Gelsomina restaurant across the road has the best kitchen on the island and not overpriced like many others. Overall I am very happy I stumbled upon this gem of a place!

Visit it when the sun kisses the sea at sunset. Peace and quiet place. Only the cicadas invite the seagulls and the sea! A magical place where you can't ask yourself philosophical questions!

Nestled in the serene countryside of Capri, Da Gelsomina - Ristorante offers a tranquil escape from the tourist hotspots. The restaurant is renowned for its authentic cuisine and warm hospitality, which has been upheld by the same family for generations. Set amidst terraces adorned with vines and vegetable gardens, it provides a picturesque setting to savor delectable dishes crafted from garden-fresh produce. Guests can also enjoy wine produced from the family's vineyard nearby.
A Hidden Gem in Capri – Authentic, Peaceful, and Unforgettable Our experience at Da Gelsomina was one of the unexpected highlights of our trip to Capri. Tucked away in a more authentic and peaceful part of the island, this charming restaurant offers not only delicious food, but also a serene atmosphere far from the usual crowds. The setting is truly special — our table overlooked beautiful vineyards with sweeping views that instantly made us feel connected to the natural beauty of Capri. The staff and Pasquale were incredibly warm and welcoming, and even shared a tip about a nearby secret lookout point. We followed their advice and were rewarded with what was easily the best view on the entire island. If you're looking to escape the tourist-packed areas and enjoy a genuine, tranquil Capri dining experience, Da Gelsomina is a must. We can’t wait to return!

We had a fabulous meal at this secluded restaurant on the south of the island. They provide a shuttle service from the centre of anacapri so getting there is not an issue. It boasts fantastic views of the sunset which was truly breathtaking. The service and food was second to none and you can see how they are recommended in the Michelin guide. Unable to rate the rooms as we did not stay there but if the restaurant is anything to go on then they would probably be 5 stars too. Incredible meal.

We came here during a day trip to Capri - it was a bit of a mission for us to get there and back from the dock but they do put on a shuttle to the middle of Anacapri and they can’t control the awful traffic! Food was pleasant especially the pomodores and buffalo mozzarella and service was friendly. Add on a little stroll to the viewing point just down from the restaurant

Go there it’s heavenly! The most spectacular property in Anacapri! Family run; staff is outstanding, 5 star restaurant, vineyard, 10 mile diet!! Rooms are comfortable with spectacular views, stock Carthusian products! Hiking paths of top views in Anacapri, swimming pool, free shuttle!! List of excellence goes on and on! Perfection! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing dinner spot! We had a lovely view of the sunset while eating dinner. This was by far our favorite restaurant during our stay in Capri! We didn’t stay in the Airbnb but it looked cute from the outside. We were shuttled up to the restaurant, be warned the ride is bumpy but it beats walking by foot! The staff was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire dinner. The view was absolutely stunning and made for great pics. Sad to say I forgot the name of the pasta dish I had but it was an excellent spicy garlicky spaghetti, this was the highlight of our dinner. Definitely don’t miss out of this restaurant, make sure to get a reservation in advance!

We only came here for dinner The food was delicious, the service was very good and attentive. Complimented with the incredible views the experience was overall really nice. The food was nothing extraordinary but at the same time hit the spot. Plenty of choices, and reasonably priced. The scenery and sunsets incredible. The most exciting part of the experience is the shuttle ride up the hill - it’s like the local version of an amusement park rollercoaster ride.

I went for dinner at Da Gelsomina about an hour before writing this review. First off, the restaurant has a shuttle service for those in Anacapri (which is a very enjoyable place to stay). Once you arrive, you’re greeted by great staff. I was a solo diner so I can’t comment much on the bottles of wine etc, but the glass of local (from the campania region) was great and their homemade liqueurs are a must try. Now, onto the food, the appetizers were great and really well thought out. Very classic dishes (my family is from this region) that are very well made. The escarole polpette were great and the octopus (for those who enjoy it) was fantastic. I had a whole local fish as the main. They can prepare it in several ways and generally have 2-3 types of fish to pick from. The fish was cooked to perfection and was cleaned prior to being served tableside. I didn’t have dessert and opted for the homemade liqueur instead which was fantastic. I went at 9pm so it was dark outside. The view and the sunset must be spectacular from up where the restaurant is, in case this is an important factor. I really recommend this place. Of course, given its rustic feel and very traditional cuisine, you will also be dining with a lot of Italians here on vacation - and this is how you know when a place is good.

Scala Fenicia, also known as the Phoenician Steps, is a steep and lengthy staircase that leads from the marina to the mountaintop on the island of Capri. The picturesque Via Capodimonte leads to Villa San Michele, a charming former home with Roman-style courtyards and marble walkways. The villa displays a varied collection ranging from bric-a-brac to antiquities and preserves the personal memorabilia of its former owner, Swedish doctor Axel Munthe.
Took me 35 - 40 minutes from Capri bus station to the sea port. On a busy day you can wait more then an hour for a bus in the same direction. Amazing views and you can stop for some rest. And you can try it vise versa, but you'll need to have a very good stamina and it will be up up up and will take around 2 hours. Enjoy!

Great walk up to Anacapri! From the bottom of the stairs, it took my partner and I 22 minutes to walk up with a few stops along the way to catch our breath and look at the view! On the way down, took about 18 minutes. We are really glad we did it. You definitely feel the burn going up and the stairs are quite deep but definitely worth it. Going down is a little harder on the knees! Definitely give it a go if you can :)

A beautiful walk up to Anacapri from Capri. It’s definitely a workout (wear good walking/hiking shoes and take a bottle of water) and not an easy uphill walk, but the views are spectacular. Yesterday, we saw several people walking down (rather than up) the Scala Fenicia while we walked up. However, we feel that the downhill is hard on our knees and feet. 🤷‍♀️ Thus we walked up the hill from Capri, strolled around Anacapri, walked out to Da Gelsomina (but arrived before they opened), walked back to the city of Anacapri, and taxied back to Capri. A beautiful morning and a lunch well earned.

A wonderful walk down from Anacapri. Incredible views. It's cool with a fresh breeze, and lots of shade from the trees and the mountain that blocks the sun from the south. Stairs are steep. Took us about an hour to walk from the chair lift to the docks, taking lots of photographs on the way.

Definitely, don't climb it unless you are very athletic. I took it on the way down from Axel Munthe's house and my quads and calves hurt for days! I hear there are about 800 steps. It felt like 1000! The reward is the stunning views. I wish it were better marked, though.

Walked down to this church after taking the chairlift up to Monte Solaro based on reviews. It was firmly locked shut. It was a long steep windy and rocky path in the middle of a hot mid-July day. A huge regret not taking the chairlift down as the chairlift up was magnificent. Don't make my mistake!

Hotel Caesar Augustus is an elegant villa hotel located in Anacapri, Italy. The hotel offers a fine-dining restaurant with stunning bay views, a luxurious spa, and an infinity pool. The history of the island is intertwined with the hotel's story, as it was once the dominion of Rome after Octavian Caesar interpreted a favorable sign upon landing in Capri.
We stayed at Caesar Augustus for two nights on our honeymoon, and it was an incredible experience. We wished we had stayed for more. While Capri was quite busy, staying in Anacapri at Caesar Augustus was quiet and amazing. Our room overlooked the sea, offering absolutely breathtaking views. The gym was outside, and though it was small, it had brand-new Technogym equipment. Antonella, who managed everything, was amazing and helped us coordinate a private dinner. The pool area was also fantastic, with great sun coverage, an infinity pool overlooking the water, and excellent poolside dining. Breakfast and dinner were both wonderful, and our room, complete with a balcony, was perfect. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it.

Outstanding Honeymoon Experience at Hotel Caesar Augustus ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional in Every Way My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon at Hotel Caesar Augustus, and it exceeded every expectation. This hotel truly understands what makes a stay memorable - it's all about the people and the experience they create. Obviously stunning and breath-taking views everywhere but a few more things to share. Staff Excellence Across Every Department The entire team deserves recognition. From the moment we arrived, every interaction was exceptional: Concierge: Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with local recommendations Front desk: Professional, warm, and always available Housekeeping: Rooms were immaculate daily with thoughtful touches Transport & baggage: Seamless service that made arrival and departure effortless Pool & F&B staff: Attentive without being intrusive, always with genuine smiles What made the biggest impression was how the staff genuinely welcomed us getting to know their names and learning about their backgrounds. This personal connection meant the world to us and created such a warm, authentic experience. Unparalleled Setting & Ambiance The hotel's location is simply breathtaking. It's a tranquil oasis perfect for couples seeking romance and relaxation. The sunsets from the hotel's bar and restaurants are beyond incredible - truly some of the most spectacular views we've ever experienced. The pool area is stunning, and the gardens below create a serene atmosphere. We loved how the hotel maintains its peaceful ambiance with gentle reminders to respect the tranquility - it really enhances the experience for everyone. Dining Recommendations The hotel's dining is excellent, but we highly recommend asking the staff for authentic restaurant recommendations in Anacapri for at least one evening. Their local knowledge led us to some truly special meals that we'll never forget. Final Thoughts Hotel Caesar Augustus is more than just a place to stay - it's an experience. The combination of exceptional staff, breathtaking location, and attention to detail creates something truly special. Respect the peaceful atmosphere, connect with the wonderful team, and you'll have an unforgettable time. We can't wait to return!

My favorite hotel in Capri, probably one of the best views on the island. The service and location are excellent. The rooms are a bit dated, as the hotel itself is older, but I believe renovations are planned soon. My only wish is that they offered a shuttle service between Capri and Anacapri, as the hotel is located in Anacapri. That said, they were extremely helpful with our departure: during check-in and check-out, they provide a complimentary shuttle to and from the port, load all your luggage onto the ferry, and even assist with tickets. This was a huge help, as managing luggage on the ferry can be a challenge.

This place is GORGEOUS!!! We didn’t stay here, but came for dinner and drinks and you can tell it is super clean and well cared for. The staff was amazing to us and we felt very welcomed. The location is great for views but not ideal for walking to and from the main city of Capri. If view is your priority, this place is probably it!

Perfectly magical experience! From the moment we arrived on property the staff was welcoming and attentive to every detail to make our stay a lifelong memory. The hotel and grounds are exceptionally maintained. We had breakfast and dinner at the Caeser Augustus every day. There was no need to search for other dining on Capri because we knew anywhere else would be disappointing. An experience of exceptional elegance and quality.

Incredible views, exceptional service, and beautifully clean rooms right in the heart of Anacapri, away from all the crazy tourist traps. The food was out of this world, with a fantastic aperitivo to start every evening. A special shoutout to Pasquale for providing outstanding service all week you truly made our honeymoon stay unforgettable! The shuttles were always clean and made it easy to get around, with the perfect distance to all the top restaurants. Highly recommend!

This hotel is the absolute best hotel we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel completely at home. The room was amazing, the food was great, the view was incredible, and most importantly the staff were all so professional, polite and kind. Our story was abit exceptional because we left our camera on the boat to Capri. The moment we reported to the hotel, the front office manager Laura responded so quickly and efficiently and within a few minutes was able to contact the boat captain and found the camera. We are truly grateful and thankful to the team of Hotel Caesar Augustus for making our stay a most perfect one. Thank you Francesco the friendly hotel driver who drove us to and from the hotel, Mr David at the Conceirge who helped us with a last minute restaurant booking, the kind and helpful doorman, front desk crew and all the people at the breakfast restaurant. Much love, best wishes and best of health.. hope our paths will cross again. Mr Yeo

Spiaggia Marina Grande is the main beach in Capri, serving as a bustling arrival point for visitors arriving by ferry from Naples and Sorrento. The beach offers both free public areas and equipped sections where visitors can rent pedal boats, sunbeds, and umbrellas.

Marina Grande beach in Capri is free to access, which is definitely a plus, but the water is full of stones and rocks, so it’s not the most comfortable place for swimming. It’s fine for a short stop, but not ideal if you’re looking for a relaxing beach day.

It's 500 m from the port It's Calm, intimate and beautiful setting with deep blue water 🌊☀️🏖️ Lots of rocks, so bring comfortable shoes. I visited here in May 2024 and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves at 11 . We have more people coming in . I sat on the rocks while the kids took a dip and wife took long walks . There are stairway down to the beach is really overgrown of trees, plants and has bamboo partition which one the other side has flowers concrete covers and beach benches which looks nice but you have to walk down a really narrow, steep stairway to enter the beach. Visually pleasing and worth visiting if you’re in Capri but be prepared for 5 hours till your return trip back as you will need to spend time in and out of the sea . It's getting crowded as I write my review Hot and cold in the same day.

Look at this area with colorful, cascading cliffside houses as a backdrop. This beach is the largest and most accessible, located right at the base of the town. It is a mix of pebbles and dark sand, and while it can get very crowded, it offers a vibrant atmosphere with many restaurants, beach clubs, and water activities.

Natural Arch is a stunning arch-shaped rock formation from the Paleolithic age that overlooks the sea and can be accessed by a trail. It is located on the east coast of Capri, offering outstanding views of the impossibly blue sea.
Walking there was quite tough, but to make it easier I suggest to reach the place from Via Matermània. In this way you'll walk down many steps, which is better than climbing them. All the rest of the path (Pizzo Luongo) will be fine to walk through. The view is stunning and you will have the occasion to see the beautiful Casa Malaparte from above.

Yes, this is a superb spot on Capri, and you shouldn't miss this! To reach it from the port, you cat take the funicular, for 2.4 € and then to take a short and easy walk. At the end of the oath you will find a terrace, which you should cross and go down on the stairs. This are the beauties of the nature and we should enjoy but also protect and preserve them, so please don't leave any rubbish behind.

Worth the 20-30 minute walk. We arrived earlier in day so very few people and so we could sit and take in the view. A cute walk to get to it, too. Returning to Capri though there were hoards of people headed to the arch which would make it not as enjoyable (for me, anyway!).

Mountain cable car
When visiting Anacapri, one of the main attractions is the Monte Solaro Chair Lift. This single-seater chairlift has been taking tourists to the top of Monte Solaro for almost seventy years, providing a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Capri during its thirteen-minute ascent. At the summit, visitors are amazed by the beautiful views. The line moves quickly and there are beautiful sights along the way up.
The wait is usually around 5 minutes and you can buy your ticket right on the spot, which makes it very convenient. The ride itself is a delight — single chairs give you a peaceful and scenic journey, with the views on the way back being particularly breathtaking. Once you reach the top, the panorama is absolutely spectacular. There’s also a small café where you can enjoy a coffee or grab a quick snack while taking in the view. This experience is absolutely worth it!
Sokratis M — Google review
Good experience, the line for it was very long but went relatively quickly. I wish it had a tent or some covering because I felt like I was getting sun burnt. Other than that the view at the top is great and the experience is good. There is also a restaurant on the top I didn’t know about until I got there. Would recommend if you have two hours.
Peter N — Google review
The Monte Solaro Chair Lift experience was one of the most beautiful moments of my trip to Capri. From the moment I sat on the seat and slowly ascended to the top, I felt like I was in another world, surrounded by breathtaking nature and unforgettable views. The ride to the top takes about 13 minutes, but they are minutes filled with tranquility, where you hear nothing but the sounds of birds and the gentle sea breeze. The view from the top is absolutely stunning. You can see the entire stretch of the Italian coastline, the crystal-clear blue waters, and the whole island of Capri from a magical panoramic perspective. At the summit, there is a small café where you can stop for a refreshing drink or a light snack while enjoying the view. What I also loved is that the experience is suitable for everyone—it’s calm, safe, and doesn’t require much physical effort. As for the wait time, it was very short; it only took a few minutes to get on, which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend anyone visiting Capri to set aside time to go up Monte Solaro on the chair lift. It’s a unique opportunity to capture amazing photos and enjoy the beauty of the Italian landscape from a completely different perspective. For me, it was worth every minute, and I would definitely do it again on my next visit.

Amazing cable car experience! The single-seat ride takes about 13 minutes each way and offers breathtaking 360-degree views — the sea, Naples, the surrounding mountains, and the entire bay. The ascent is peaceful and scenic, with every moment revealing a new angle of this stunning region. Reaching the summit feels like standing above the world, surrounded by beauty on all sides. Definitely worth it — one of the highlights of our trip!
Yoav A — Google review
The Monte Solaro chairlift was a definite highlight of our trip to Capri. While the €28 cost for two people felt a bit steep, the experience itself was 100% worth it. The ride was just the right length—long enough to soak in the incredible views, but short enough to keep the little bit of a thrilling, scary feeling from becoming overwhelming. The panoramas from the top were truly amazing. A small but significant detail that stood out was the kindness of the restaurant staff at the top. They gave us coupons to use the restroom, which was a thoughtful gesture. It's a shame that after paying €28 for the ride, we would have had to spend another €2 to use a bathroom, but their action prevented that from becoming another frustrating, nickel-and-dime experience.
Pavan N — Google review
Monte Solaro chair lift offers great views of the island and ocean. You get breathtaking aerial view of Anacapri and the buildings. Watch for the chair rail free floating front bars that don’t lock in place. So hold on tight and enjoy the view. A cafe awaits you up top of the cliff where you can order drinks, food and tea/coffee. You pay for toilettte facility. There’s a boutique for shopping but the highlight is the view from the cliff and a small garden. The rock formations in the ocean offer a spectacular view from top and you can also see Ischia and Naples at a distance. This is a must do activity in Anacapri.

Must visit when on Capri! We had one of the best views in our lives here, sea color was fantastic. Chair lift is an experience in itself, not dangerous and with amazing 360 degree views all the way up and down. Don’t be afraid! It closes early so plan in advance, but it’s really really worth it.

Beautiful,Amazing, very high up,but well worth it! The scenery, looking down to the azure blue water...boat look so tiny! I think a few feet more up,you'd be touching outer space!!

Really breathtaking views!!! Don't miss this magical place!!!! There are benches for rest. About 30 minutes walk from the port or 15 minutes from the center.

Definitely worth the walk over here once you're in Capri Town. Even in high season (but early in the day) it was a beautiful walk and not too crowded. Amazing views of Marina Piccola and Faraglioni.
Neil S — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. There is a reasonably well marked path from the centre of Capri to the Belvedere Tragara and then you can also choose to walk onwards to the Arco Naturale before heading back to town. The whole walk incl. the Arco took us around 1.5h with a lunch break.

Lovely walk through the nicer part of town, down a flat and easily managed walkway. Several views and photo opportunities of the beautiful scenery as you go, no need to rush here..... but when you do get here.... wow.

Beach
Spiaggia di Marina Piccola is a stunning coastal area on Capri, known for its beautiful beach and breathtaking views of the Faraglioni di Capri sea stacks. This small pebble and sand beach is nestled between impressive rock formations, offering crystal clear turquoise waters for swimming. The bay benefits from a southern exposure and protection from Mount Solaro, providing warm and calm conditions year-round.
The beach may be small, but the stunning view and crystal-clear water more than make up for its size. I had a wonderful time enjoying the scenery. The beach is free to access, but keep in mind that you'll need to bring your own chairs or towels to sit comfortably. It's a peaceful spot to relax and take in the beauty of nature, though a bit of preparation is needed to fully enjoy the experience. Perfect for a quiet day out!

Great with kids. There is a public beach but also a private part where you can rent a beach bed (2 for 80 euros). Come early because they are quickly booked.
Daniel G — Google review
Tiny pebble beach in a beautiful location. To get to the water, you have to carefully walk between all the towels and personal possesions, it's very crowded. For that reason, I sat at a table with the best view in a nearby restaurant while my grandson enjoyed jumping from the rocks and swimming in the warm crystal clear water.
FLnurseER1 — Google review
the most beautiful beach i’ve ever been to. bus service to the main town available, or u can walk down from capri town. completely free as well!
Lauren — Google review
Marina Piccola is a smaller beach oasis on Capri, where you can enjoy the sea without the crowds from Marina Grande. The beach is nice, the water crystal clear, and if you’re lucky, you might spot some local fishermen lazily drifting on their boats. It kinda feels like a secret hideout where even Leonardo DiCaprio might take a break from filming. The only catch? Parking and access – it’s Capri, so patience is key. :)
Michael N — Google review
I didn't like the free beach. The photos were misleading and I thought there would be more space. The beach bar next to it charged 150 euro per bed and it was empty pretty much. We took a dip in the water and we went back to town center for lunch by the bus.
Agata C — Google review
it's a tiny beach that is full of boats and people. there's hardly any space to walk and the swimming area is very small. feels like a huge waste of time to come here if you're looking for a nice beach

Capri Precious Boat Tours offers an amazing experience to explore the stunning island of Capri. The tour includes visits to the white, green, and blue grottos, with the Blue Grotto being a standout attraction. Despite initial weather-related challenges, the team went above and beyond to ensure a seamless rebooking process. The boat captain, Giuseppe, is praised for his friendliness and informative nature. Booking is made easy through WhatsApp communication with Alessandro.
The tour was the best thing ever honestly I expected it to be amazing but it was truly phenomenal. Giuseppe was the best captain ever he made sure we had everything and explained all of it very thoroughly to us. He took us to an amazing swimming spot. Genuinely the best boat tour ever. When we come back to capri we want to make sure to do the longest one. 10/10 recommend

Amazing experience with Capri Precious Boat Tours. Everything about the experience was exceptional and memorable. From the ease of booking, to the communication with the team leading up to the day, to the boat tour itself - this was one of the best parts of a very memorable trip. My family of four (two adults and two teens) spent half the day with our Captain Giuseppe who was a kind, professional and knowledgeable. The day was perfect, the scenery beautiful and the experience world class. Cannot imagine a better boat tour.
Dennis D — Google review
My husband and I booked the 3 hour private boat tour of Capri. This was the highlight of our Mediterranean cruise vacation!! We celebrated my husband’s 30th birthday while on the beautiful island of Capri. Our boat captain Stefano made it a memorable experience by taking us wherever we wanted around the island during our 3 hours (including 2 different swimming spots, although we did not do the Blue Grotto as it was an hour wait to get in), offered to take as many pictures of us as we wanted, and provided prosecco, homemade limoncello, and a killer playlist! The 3 hour tour in the morning offered us enough time in the afternoon to have a nice sit-down lunch in Anacapri, do the chairlift, and shop a little bit in Marina Grande. Due to time constraints of needing to be back in Naples to catch our cruise ship, there was not enough time to go into Capri town. We certainly plan to return to this beautiful island for another Capri Precious boat tour and to see the other attractions we missed!
Marissa C — Google review
This was 10/10 experience!! We did a 4 hour private boat tour in Capri. It’s so worth the $$$. It’s beautiful and the tour guide explains history of the grottos. I recommend getting sandwiches and bottle of wine at Aldo’s (yellow awning) when you get off the ferry. Your boat will pick you up and you are good to go!
Katherine V — Google review
We had an incredible experience with Capri Precious! From start to finish, the service was top notch. Antonio, our guide, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the day. I was a bit nervous about jumping into open water, but Antonio went out of his way to keep the boat close and make sure I felt safe and comfortable. It meant a lot and really allowed me to enjoy the experience fully. Communication with Alessandro before and after the trip was smooth and easy. The boat was stocked with drinks and towels, which was a nice touch. We brought our own lunch, but I believe they can arrange that too, along with bottles of wine if you’d like to make it extra special. My friends and I were thrilled with the tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. I’m already looking forward to booking another tour with them!

Our private boat tour with Capri Precious was the highlight of our honeymoon! Nico was FANTASTIC! We were out on the water for almost 3 hours, got to stop and swim, and we visited several grottos and caves. We would recommend this activity to anyone and everyone! We can’t wait to come back someday.

The Taverna Anema e Core is a popular and classy night club in Capri. It is known for its live music performances and attracts celebrities and other well-known people to its dance floors. The club is open every night, and attracts a mixed crowd of locals and tourists.
The live Music was absolutely fantastic, full of energy and what a talent. Their energy was contagious. If you are in Capri and you want to have a night of fun, dancing and great live music you really should visit this place. Can’t wait to come back next time when I’m in Capri. 🌟
Melissa H — Google review
Fun time if you’re willing to spend $$$, but do your research before. We made the mistake of not researching enough and were slapped with a bill for €60/drink…and all we ordered was aperol spritz.
Courtney B — Google review
We had to pay 80 euro entrance and when we got in the vibe was good and the band was doing their thing, what they don’t tell you is that to dance on the dancefloor infront of the stage you have to pay an extra 300 euro otherwise you just stand behind a fence guarded by the guards to look at the people who paid dancing, so it’s more of a theater vibe looking at the party if your not willing to spend 380 euro per person…. Such a scam honestly, shame on these people running it!
Yehya A — Google review
For the price paid, the expectations were too high. In reality, the only goal there was to take everything from your pockets. The place was over, overcrowded to 3 times its capacity. I'm not talking about the prices that are generally unreasonable in Capri, unjustifiable, 5-star prices in a no-star environment, and with arrogant service. Maybe it's not their fault and these comments don't matter because the chances of the clientele returning are very small. So if you are thinking and have an extra 500-1000 euros in your pocket, go see a concert of your favorite band, wherever and whoever it may be.
Liridon P — Google review
To be completely honest, the prices here are extremely, extremely high. We each had two cocktails, and the total bill came to €240 — that’s about €40 per drink. Normally, I’d never say this, but in this case: it was worth it. If you’ve read any of my other reviews from Capri, you’ll know that we, unfortunately, had mostly bad experiences everywhere else. I even hesitated to leave reviews at all, because I felt strange writing almost only negative ones. But the truth matters — people deserve to know what to really expect. That said, this place completely changed the tone of our trip. Despite the price, if you can afford it — go. Honestly, just go. The concept is unique, the energy unforgettable. And while the fact that so many celebrities have visited is fun to know, that’s actually the least important thing about it. We didn’t go because of that — in fact, it was simply one of the few places still open that night. But it ended up being the highlight of our weekend. From the moment we walked in, people were already dancing and singing, and the place had only been open for about half an hour. I’ve never seen anything like it — such a lively, joyful atmosphere right from the start. The live band was incredible — they played a mix of English songs and traditional Neapolitan music. Normally I’m not a big fan of music in languages I don’t understand, but you could feel the emotion in every word, even without knowing what was being said. The musicians were so talented and genuine. The staff were amazing, and even the other guests were warm, friendly, and kind — something we sadly didn’t experience much elsewhere in Capri. After a weekend full of disappointments, these few hours completely made up for it all. I have nothing bad to say — not even about the price. Because this night was truly memorable. If you’re in Capri — go to Anema e Core. It’s not just a place; it’s an experience. ❤️ 1 note though - we went end of season (October) on a Sunday evening
Jennifer — Google review
You know the scammers in Rome outside of the Coliseum?- this is Capri’s version you need to avoid as a tourist! In Capri for summer vacation, stopped here because it’s the ONLY club in capri, told us it’s $80 euro per entry+a you're required to buy a “drink” ($50-60 basic shot or cocktail), also an extra $300 euro to dance on the “dance floor” with your $60 aperol spritz. If you are a geriatric billionaire on vacation with $500 spare change for an hour of weird vibes and overpriced drinks this is the place for you! If you are under 40 and want to drink and listen to music for less than you spent on a hotel for a night per person, you are out of luck (what is annoying is that this seems predatory based on supply & demand, there are literally no other “night-clubs” in Capri, literally a single other basic club with slightly expensive pricing on this island would probably kill.) We got pretty terrible hospitality at many places here anyways but since most people are coming here to relax and enjoy nights out- it’s best to plan around the fact that night life is pretty non existent here & bonus if you are American and also not White, you will get the same level of hospitality as your local 7 eleven (probably worse). If I could rate this 0/5 stars I would!
Abril R — Google review
Welcome to Capri’s most expensive zoo — except you’re the exhibit. We thought we were buying into a fun night out for €80, but little did we know the real show was watching rich people dance while the rest of us stood behind a barrier like unpaid extras in a bad music video. Want to actually dance? That’ll be another €300 please — because apparently moving your legs in front of a stage counts as a luxury upgrade in Capri. Otherwise, you just stand there like you’re at some sort of nightclub safari, observing the VIPs in their natural habitat while security guards glare at you for even thinking about stepping forward. So unless your dream night out involves paying to be treated like a second-class citizen at a fake concert you’re not allowed to join, save your money and grab a bottle of limoncello instead. Way more fun, and no fences involved. Shameful, hilarious, and honestly deserves a Netflix documentary called Clubbing: The Scam Edition. On a serious note. Disgusting place.

Spiaggia Bagni di Tiberio is a popular destination on Capri, known for its white sand and family-friendly atmosphere. Accessible only by boat, it offers a shuttle service from Marina Grande. The beach features a good restaurant with reasonable prices and can be reached by a short walk from ancient Roman villa ruins or a quick motorboat ride. Visitors can enjoy the public pebble beach or opt for the beach club with amenities such as a bar and restaurant.
At the bottom of the stairs we turned right not left (that would’ve been the actual beach with sunbeds, bar, etc. but we weren’t interested in all that), and there is a small bay kind of area which is small but stunning! The water is clear and gorgeous. We went in the afternoon and only a few people were there. After some time we had the entire place to ourselves. Rocky—water shoes recommended.
Alexandra D — Google review
The water was very dirty. The only positive was that we came late in the day so they let us in for free, but I definitely wouldn't pay ANYTHING for this dirty beach, especially when there's a much nicer and free one a few meters away.
Zorby — Google review
Beautiful beach, we paid 35€/person for the entrance and for a sunbed. They take you there by boat, and bring you back to the main port, it's included in the entrance fee. It's not cheap but I think it's worth it. We had a great time, I recommend!
Lilla F — Google review
Unfortunately the water was indeed dirty and the rocks hurt your feet but the food was excellent. One option could be getting sunbeds at le ondine beach club as the sea is a lot clearer and the beach is sandy there but come to Bagni for lunch. They have a boat that takes you to the restaurant right by the marina so it’s pretty easy
Nilsu Z — Google review
Coming every summer to capri, all the great places disappear and down to tourists traps and unreasonable prices, but that one is really hit the sky. Good beach club, great and attentive service, a m a z i n g restaurant with the best food on capri (i’ve been in many places). This is really hot spot!
Ili I — Google review
Get a reservation beforehand during the summer season! There is a free boat ride there but once you get get there it really is quite expensive, bring your own towel if possible. You can order food from the restaurant without a reservation if you have a sunbed.
Petter N — Google review
Is one of the best beaches of Capri, is smaller than the rest, but os does not get crowded. You still have to pay for the chairs and everything but if you are going to stay the whole day it’s definetely worth it!. And the beach is just breathtaking, crystal clear water.
Alfredo S — Google review
My favourite beach in all of Capri! Wonderful public pebble beach - can be reached by boat form Marina Grande or by walking (about 20 mins from marina). There is a beach club with a bar and restaurant if you wish, but I would recommend the free beach - it has a lovely shallow bay for paddling and you can swim out to the deep if you want to. Can be crowded so make sure you arrive early to grab a spot.

Spiaggia Torre Saracena is one of Capri's oldest beach clubs, offering a memorable day by the crystal-clear waters with stunning views of the Faraglioni and the Saracen tower. The narrow stretch of white pebbles overlooks the majestic Faraglioni rocks and features wooden platforms with pergolas for relaxation. Visitors can enjoy light snacks at the beach's American Bar and savor seafood specialties at the renowned restaurant.
Really cool spot to swim and cool off on the sunny side of the Island. We went there off season - beginning of October. It was still a little crowded and the paid beach bars were closed so it was kind of cosy.

Tiny, clean beach. Loved trying to climb the rocks lol. Arrive by bus. €4 Roundtrip from Capri main town. Warm & clear water!
Madi S — Google review
Took a Ferry from Naples to Capri. The ride itself was relaxing and being surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea is lovely. After landing, the surrounding businesses were interesting while I was waiting for the bus to Saracen Tower Beach. The ride on the bus was an experience in itself. The dialects noticeable as locals socialized. The amenities at the beach were sparse, but I came for the swim. I was not disappointed. The water is cool, and if you dive down, cold. But the salt content in the Mediterranean Sea is much higher than the Atlantic or Pacific oceans. Without moving my arms or legs, my full head floats above the water. No effort at all to stay out and relax. The ease of swimming is intoxicating and time passes too quickly as I swam the shoreline. What a wonderful day.

Amazing day with Antonio! We did a 4 hour excursion with our family of 4 ( Two teen boys and my husband) . It was definitely a highlight of our two weeks in Italy. Excellent value for the experience. We were able to go around the entire island and swim in several spots. We opted to skip the blue grotto for more swim time. Antonio was kind and accommodating & made the trip fun for us all. We will definitely do this again when we return to Capri!

We were 4 people on the boat and it was fantastic. The communication beforehand was really well arranged. Antonio told a lot, had humor and was an experienced captain. There were drinks on board and beach towels for sunbathing and swimming. I had left some things on the boat but got all the cooperation to have them returned. Chapeau! We enjoyed it and I recommend this company to everyone!

Antonio was wonderful! The tour was very informative and we were guided to all of the prettiest places around the island. But the most AMAZING thing about Antonio is the way the customer is treated with such care. I actually dropped my new iPhone into the water at the dock just as we were preparing to leave. So traumatic! But Antonio (who is a certified scuba diver) actually dove into the 6-meter-deep water to retrieve it for me. What a kind man!

Today we made a tour around Capri with Antonio. He is an experienced captain, very nice person, it is easy too interact with him, Speaks english, but for me it was an excellent experience that he could help me and improve my poor italian. About the tour: contact and reservation went smoothly. During the tour he shared many information about the island and also historical aspects. Towels and cold drinks (beer coke water) were available on the boat. We had chance to swim in piccola marina. All in all we felt being in a luxury trip. Grazie Antonio! I recommend his services.
