Lotte Concert Hall

We experienced a phenomenal concert of the Johannes Passion composed by J.S. Bach conducted by Park Chi-yong and executed by the Seoul Motet Choir and the Seoul Motet Chamber Orchestra. They were a fantastic combination who put a lot of emotion and empathy in the text they sung. They are top tier!

I mean great program, ambiance, the ressonation settings and the views in the hall ways. Only a little inconvenience would be getting up and down the concert hall area with overcrowding. However they were mindful to station staffs to ensure safety all over the place which is appreciated.

Easily my favorite concert hall in Seoul. Modern and has good views from nearly all seats. The staff at the ticket counter are always great at resolving issues and usually can speak English, if needed. I wish there was a water fountain though. It’s strange that every floor of the mall has free drinking water available near the restrooms, but once you reach the concert hall, the only option is to buy refreshments from the cafe.

Just been here and tryout some. Foods has veriety choices. Many choices of our friendly tastes of korean and western dishes. Basically oily staffs from my experiences. Its good to try but just once enough, I thought.

I enjoyed GPO Rachmaninoff Symphony No.2, dated October 22, 2023, Nikolai Lugansky plays Complete Rachmaninoff Concertos, dated December 15, 2023, Jaap van Zweden's Ode to Joy dated December 22, 2023, Krystian Zimerman Piano Recital dated January 3, 2024 and Prague Symphony Orchestra dated January 18, 2024, Jonas Kaufmann Recital, dated March 4, 2025, etc. As you are well aware, this is a concert hall located at Lotte World Mall in Jamsil, Seoul. It is known as the second largest classical concert hall that was built in Seoul, opened to the public in 2016, following the Seoul Arts Center concert hall. Usually a concert hall is built as an isolated building, but, Lotte Concert Hall is located on the 8th to 10th, floors of the Lotte World Mall. Be that as it may, the accessibility is excellent because you can use the Seoul subway line no. 2 and line no. 8. For your information, the box office which is located on the 8th floor opens 1 hour prior to the concert. It has a cloak room near the box office. It has bars on 8th and 9th floor so you can buy coffee, water and a glass of wine as well. There is a vending machine for water on 10th floor with reasonable price. Yes, a picture's worth a thousand words. Please see it and feel it. Enjoy.
