The shop focuses on fried chicken and has a modern, stylish interior. We came for dinner around 7:30 PM and were seated quickly. After ordering, we waited about 20 minutes without any food, so we had to remind the staff. When it arrived, the chicken was a little too oily for our taste, but the flavor itself was good. There’s a self-service bar with free popcorn and pickled radish, which was a nice touch while waiting.

Came at 1pm on a Thursday when the restaurant was completely empty - dozens of tables free. I just wanted some chicken, a beer, and to charge my phone while I ate and rested for an hour. I sat at a tall table near a power outlet but was told I couldn't with no reasonable explanation. With 50+ other empty tables, it felt absurdly inflexible. Staff showed zero awareness or flexibility at what was clearly an off peak time, so I went somewhere friendlier and more accommodating. Not the experience I've been used to in this wonderful city.

I dined in around 6:45 and got a seat immediately. Staff was nice and helpful to point me to the self service station for popcorn and water. I got the spicy fried chicken legs - a nice modest heat and sweet. It also has a very nice crunch with every bite. Beer is fresh and atmosphere is fun with friends

Out of the big chains (Kyochon, BHC, BBQ Chicken and NeNe Chicken) Kyochon is by far the best chicken quality. The coating is way thinner and crisper than the others and the sauces were really tasty too. Staff was really fast with the orders, I'm talking about 30 seconds until a new beer came to our table and everything was tasty and hot. The cheese balls are 3 levels above off what BHC is offering. The location is really big and gets quite noisy especially when the tables around you are full as well but that's it.

The food was good. The portions are very big even of the side dishes so be ware of that! It is a very noisy place so it might be difficult to understand one another when eating. We were with two people and the price really wasn't that expensive!

One of the best fried chicken I've ever tried and I didn't expect to try it in a chain restaurant. In a very good location, comfortable shop. Very helpful staff. Don't forget to try it if you're in Korea. There are several establishments in many areas. The guy at the reception of the hostel we were staying at recommended it to us. It was my second time visiting Korea.

Worst service ever. This gentleman was angry towards us when we first came in and it seems like he was very irritated we had a stroller. He asked us to park the stroller outside but we took a few minutes to unload it. In the few minutes we took to do so, he abruptly told us everything was unavailable and asked us to leave despite there being other customers coming in. If you do not allow families with young children please state so clearly and if you hate your job so badly please consider a change in career sir

19 Dec 2023: Not a big restaurant, simple set-up and a local favorite place to chill over cold beer and fried chicken. Ordered Seasoned Chicken. Deep-Fried Vegetable and a Soup with soft tofu. Amazing soft and succulent fried chicken with crispy batter, sweet spicy sauce and it goes very well with our beer. Friendly service, reasonable prices and they also serve nice daikon radish and corn snacks served as appetizer

Completely delicious fried chicken. The batter is mixed with some sort of herb that I really enjoyed. The chicken can be ordered plain or with spicy sauce. We got half and half. Both are really nice but I probably prefer it with the sauce. We didn't order the fried peppers because it would have been too much food but the couple next to us actually offered us one which completely made my day! Wow you have no idea how excited that made me. Sharing is so nice! yay! I can confidently confirm that the pork filled fried green peppers are also delicious. The people working here were friendly. But also, if you don't drink beer here you will HAVE to order at least one - we tried to order two alcohol free beers and the waitress only let us order one.... for us it was fine, but I can see how this would offend some people.

Pretty good chicken place…chicken batter has some pepper for little spice. Another popular item is the fried pepper, did not try but will try next time. Place is well ventilated so you don’t smell like a deep fryer. Washroom is outside around the corner. Would come again.

Ordered the half spicy half non-spicy miso honey chicken, and the chili spread in the WHOLE dish because the separator was not straight/secure. Non-spicy side became spicy and I couldn’t eat it because I can’t take spice. When we told the staff, they didn’t care and they said we shouldn’t have ordered the dish if we couldn’t take spice (but the whole point was to have half half???). Poor experience, hope the staff can be more accommodating.

Having walked for a few hours, we got tired and went for 닭갈비 for dinner. I actually liked the taste but my husband preferred it to be more spicy. We agree that chicken menu is the best. Chicken is better than Squid. The service is of standard not super fast but not too slow either. There is a self-service side dish behind at the counter. Most customers here are tourists; the staffs can speak English so it's easy to communicate and make an order. Overall, I like this restaurant.

Terrible Experience at Yoogane - Avoid this Restaurant! During my recent trip to South Korea, I had the opportunity to dine at Yoogane, and I regret to say that it was far from a positive experience. The service at this restaurant left a lot to be desired, and my companions and I were thoroughly disappointed with our visit. From the moment we stepped inside, it was evident that the staff lacked the enthusiasm and dedication to provide a pleasant dining experience. Their attitude towards us was nothing short of disappointing, as they appeared disinterested in assisting with anything and failed to deliver the level of service one would expect from a reputable Korean restaurant. Our encounter with server 1, a female responsible for helping us to stir-fry the chicken, was particularly unsettling. Her deliberate flinging of the spatula, with a complete lack of regard for proper handling, left us with a sense of intentional provocation. Such behaviour is entirely unacceptable in any establishment, let alone one with a reputation to uphold. To make matters worse, server 2, another short-haired staff member, displayed a regrettable and scolding tone while helping us fry our rice. This behaviour created an uncomfortable atmosphere throughout our meal, and it was a stark departure from the professional conduct one would anticipate from the restaurant staff. We visited Yoogane on a Tuesday afternoon around 3 pm, and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Despite the lack of customers, the staff didn't seem interested in attending to anyone properly. I observed them being rude not only to us but also to other tourists sitting at the adjacent table. The staff talked loudly and even rolled her eyes when the tourists tried communicating with them. Witnessing this behaviour was extremely disheartening, as it was evident that the staff's unprofessionalism was a consistent issue. I strongly advise against visiting Yoogane based on my horrendous experience. The restaurant's terrible service and disrespectful staff ruined what should have been a pleasant dining experience. As a tourist trying to enjoy the local cuisine, encountering such rudeness was truly disappointing. There are plenty of other Korean restaurants in South Korea that offer delicious food and exceptional service, so do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

Great service. Our young waitress spoke excellent English and was very attentive. Food was cheap and good. Free flow of pickles, bean sprouts soup and cabbage.

Poor attitude of the staff. We are five person go for this restaurant. They did not arrange sit together even split to two table also not near, it's far away. One of us are vegetarian, we want to order cold noodles and steam egg, the female staff say cannot one table must order one meat dalgalbi. When the meat dalgalbi come, It just simply stir it then go away, let the customer stir ourselves. After the staff come back, just simply stir it then switch off tha gas. When we taste it, the meat undercooked, chicken still have blood. Not recommend for this restaurant.

This is a popular dakgalbi chain restaurant and it is very catered for tourists since it is located in myeongdong, did not see any locals here. The menu has english and photos, so it's really easy to order, adding the fried rice at the end is highly recommended because it's just so good when they fry the rice in front of you. The flavor is very appetizing and addictive, you can pick the menu with cheese if you like that, but it's quite filling.

The food is great, and I love being able to order directly from the tablet on the table. It makes everything so efficient. Most importantly, the chicken is delicious and comes out hot and fresh. The chicken is fried perfectly and very tender and juicy. The garlic soy and honey are fantastic! This location has a great pub / hof atmosphere, great for hanging out. We came here at 8:45pm on Saturday and were able to easily get seated.

A late-night fried chicken shop. It's near Dongdaemun! Very easy to find! You can order at the self-service machine, and there are translations in Chinese, Korean and Japanese. and english. The egg bomb fried rice was tasty but on the smaller side, with a Japanese-style flavor. For drinks, the beers were fine: the Kyochon Ale felt a bit watery and lacked sparkle, while the IPA was classic but a touch too strong for my taste — more a matter of preference. The place itself seemed popular with both tourists and locals, creating a lively vibe. My only real complaint was the baby chair — it badly needed a deep clean. When we wiped it down, the tissues turned black, which wasn’t a great look.

Its a beer and chicken thing and this place serves it quite nicely in a cozier setting. Our host prefer the Soju and beer combo drink with this particular brand. After preparing the shots (with a shot glass on top of another shot glass portioning) the eldest on the table gets the first drink. Then the chicken meal with shots begins. It a great combo which is offered all over the strip. Our booth seating offered a little privacy and we could carry a conversation quite nicely around here with no need to shout at one another.

The fried chicken is pretty good. Personally, I prefer more flavoring on the chicken but it was very crispy and a very good portion size. We loved how easy it was to order on the table tablet. It is required for every person to get a drink but we didn't need that many so we god a side instead and the workers didn't say anything. We arrived around 9pm and there were many seats available hence we didn’t have to wait. Toilet is small but very clean. Excellent place for fried chicken. This was the first place we went to since it was close to the hotel. It’s upstairs above of the gs25. The inside is nice and clean and has a nice restroom. Ordering is easy with the tablet and has a few languages you can change it too. Chicken was juicy and very tasty. We got the half half original and yangnyeom. Lovely place. Would recommend a stop here if you’re in the area.

I went in to try the chicken as I had not yet had good Korean chicken on my trip. This was located on the second floor, and the staff were friendly and could speak English. The restaurant looked spacious and clean, and you could order by tablet across multiple languages. I got the garlic soy sauce chicken (with rice cakes), but sadly had to pack it up due to an upcoming meeting. The staff kindly oblidged. I had the chickn in my hotel room, and it was super tasty! I really loved it. Just enough spice too to make it even better. I will definitely go back!

Little shop, almost looks like it only does takeout. I am pretty sure I ordered the boneless x 2 chili pepper spicy chicken but when the server came, she was really rushing me and I may have pointed to the bone-in version. And then she took the menus and was gone like a tornado, the same way she arrived and rushed my order. It arrived and it’s bone-in and not at all spicy, but sweet. I called and politely said I had ordered boneless. A few minutes later, the same server asks me to come with her to the cash register, and shows me cctv footage of me ordering! Saying it shows I pointed to the bone-in spicy chicken (never mind it was sweet and not spicy so the wrong flavour). Without voice or zoom, I can’t tell for sure what I pointed at in the menu. The point is she rushed me in the first place. I was so baffled at the utter lack of customer service, I just paid and left. I felt furious and humiliated. Do not ever recommend this place, and the chicken was incredibly overpriced anyways. I thought it would be really good at that price, but it’s the lowest ranking of all the chicken places I have tried in S. Korea so far. Oh, and the whole are I was had a blowing air conditioner. It felt weird to move with all my side dishes and drinks, but it wasn’t good either.

Food is okay not the best chicken dry , but…let’s talk about service, sucks!! I think was the owner last picture in the top right, so disrespectful fighting with us because we asked for another sauce mind you were trying to pay for it not to get it for free, but she got upset because it was the third chili soy sauce we asked for as customers we asked for whatever we want as we’re paying for after that inconvenience. The atmosphere feel weird we ended up paying and living to another place. This person is so rude and don’t know how to handle situations in a proper way. We’re also restaurants owners, this way of handling the situation was not right yelling to costumers WE DIDN’T WANT ANYTHING FOR FREE! If we were asking for food and beer every 30 minutes why would we want a chili for free ? Obviously no! Possibly my favourite Korean Fried Chicken restaurant in Seoul. Located just next to Pacific Hotel and a small walk from my accomodation, Two Two Fried Chicken is a restaurant that I couldn't miss out on. Came with my family and we ordered 2 serves of boneless fried chicken and a few bottles of Kloud beer and were completely satisfied with what we got for what we normally pay back in Australia. Will certainly be back when I am next time in Seoul.

Nov 2023. We were back here again. Loved this outlet and the waitresses here could speak mandarin. We all agreed the spicy fried chicken was the better choice than the original and soy versions. We even tried the cold noodles accompanied with vegetables and snail.

Now that I’ve been to a few Korean Fried Chicken places in Seoul, I can say with some perspective and confidence that Two Two Fried Chicken is really just ok, and not great. The sauces themselves were fine, but overall the chicken wasn’t incredible. I appreciated that they offered boneless wings for each of their sauces, and that they provided the little round corn snacks and daikon, but would recommend trying other places.

Good restaurant thanks to its service and staff . Owing to what my Korean friend said, the fried chicken favour at this restaurant is not what he expected and that is also what I feel like. Maybe this light favour is suitable for foreigners but not for one who wants to try original Korean fried chicken and gourmets. Can try but I don't recommend it.

Wonderful BHC branch in Jongno - we didn’t need to wait for the table, and ordering is easy from an iPad at the table. Service was fast and staff were super friendly. Definitely our favorite BHC branch!

Pay with foreign cards will be charged 10% fees (luckily we had some cash to pay off part of the bill), absolutely ridiculous, we have been many other places in Korea that never asked a cent more because of this! Worst part was, nowhere in this restaurant including the menu, had mentioned it, so that’s very “cheap” on their side. On another note, the garlic chicken we ordered was very sweet, not to our taste but we respect if that’s how local food should be.

11 of us came trying authentic Korean fried chicken was right at the top of our must-do list and it did not disappoint! Unfortunately, the night we visited, it was raining. The outdoor seating setup wasn’t ideal for wet weather. Honestly, the restaurant should consider adding portable aluminum truck shelters they’re easy to set up and offer solid rain protection, which would definitely improve the dining experience on rainy days. Still, the food made up for it. The original fried chicken was served hot, crispy, and incredibly tasty hands down one of the best we’ve had. And of course, it paired perfectly with a cold, chilled beer. Totally worth braving the rain for!

Chanced upon this fried chicken outlet while we were looking for BHC (which was long queue) at Myeongdong. Only the foreigner service staff were friendly and helpful. The older lady staff (could be the lady boss) and the younger staff might be having a bad day 🤷🏻‍♀️... Nearing the end of our meal (there were still food left) we requested for more the radish banchan and the older lady staff said "but you have no more food (left)" in Korean. We were shocked! The non-Korean service staff were on the other hand very nice and friendly.

One of the BEST burger shop that I like in Korea!!! I always order their crispy chicken burger but this time I was having their special set menu with Cajun Fries and I love how tender and juicy chicken and meat they put into. Had a lil trouble order with QR code so ended up order in cashier. They have like 3 floors, 2nd and 3rd is for dining area while first for taking order 😊

I was a bit disappointed. I’ve heard a lot about this chain so I was very excited to try it out. The order came out fast. But the chicken in the burger was really dry!!! Was difficult to chew it. Sweet&spicy chicken tasted mostly like garlic. The cheesy potato balls were good.

This restaurant has one of the most unhinged names in Korea. The fired chicken tastes good as always. But this time, I went for a chicken sandwich. It does not disappoint. Chicken thigh is juicy and crunchy. Fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles are all good. Sauce is tasty too.

Overall a good experience. Ate during lunch time but was fortunate to skip the crowd; there was a queue after we ate finished. Place served authentic Korean chicken soup. Chicken was fresh, tender and smooth with various options to consume it (i.e. salt and pepper, soy sauce, vinegar etc). Staffs did not speak English but they tried their best to engage us. Lots of Korean came here to eat.

The soup with chicken is very nice especially in a cold weather. Comes with clear soup and staff helps to cut the chicken into pieces. Boiled to 2-4 minutes and you can start to enjoy. Free kimchi to refill, souse can be vinegar and soy souse to be 1:1 mix with garlic minces. You also can add kimchi into the clear soup to taste like different dishes! In general, the food is ok nothing special but good enough to enjoy it with friends or family. Ps. If you like any side dishes I.e. noodles … you need to order it.

A long name but basically it’s chicken soup boiled in potato, leak, and spring onions. This chicken soup restaurant was well known among tourists but somehow not as popular with locals. The whole chicken (90 days young I heard) was served and boiled in an unpretentious aluminium basin and the staff will come over to cut it for you when the chicken is hqlf cooked. Do not let the bland looks deceive you, the broth was packed with flavour balanced with the spring onion, leak and pepper to give a little kick. You can then end the meal with the remaining soup with rice or noodles. Overall a very good and hearty meal especially in cold weather but kinda pricey for the portion.

The taste does not betray the fact that it is delicious. The sauce was not enough at first, but once the chicken began to absorb the broth, it was the perfect match for the rich meat. Around 3:00, you can get in without waiting in line. If you don't speak the language, no problem. Just don't forget to add noodles. Potatoes and noodles are delicious and leave you speechless as they soak up the bird broth.

We had looked forward to dining at Jungsik in Seoul with high expectations. We had been to their NYC location, which recently earned a third Michelin star. We made a reservation for our larger party, which meant that we would be dining in one of their private dining rooms instead of their beautiful main dining room. Prior to the date, the reservation team communicated with us via email regarding menu selections and the seating chart so everything would be prepared prior to our arrival. They were mindful that we had one person with a nuts allergy and were very careful to recommend nuts free options. The final seating arrangement, however, was different from what I had specified. It didn't detract from our experience but it was just strange that they asked me to fill out a seating chart and then the table seating was different from what I had detailed. A very nice touch was that we each received a printed menu specific to each individual along with the person's name on it. The food was very good in general and well worth the price. A few of the dishes bordered excellent and they all had high quality ingredients. The gimbab, fish, duck and the desserts were among our favorites. Each dish was beautifully presented and well cooked. The desserts were great, not too sweet and visually stunning. Where the two Michelin restaurant fell short was in their service and facilities. There was very little interaction between us and the wait staff. They were very quiet, probably due to the language barrier. We saw very little of them except for when food was served and water glasses needed to be filled. They did not seem comfortable and always hurried off. I do have to mention the conditions of the restrooms which, for a 2 Michelin star restaurant, was unacceptable. The floor in most of them were wet in places throughout the entire 3 hours of our dinner. We all made similar negative comments about the restrooms. It's unusual for a fine dining establishment to not have staff spruce up the restrooms periodically. Overall, we did thoroughly enjoy the food but found the service and facilities lacking.

During our visit to Seoul, we decided to visit Jungsik. Visiting this restaurant was an amazing experience. We had a reservation for a private room which is a better option than a dining room because of the greater silence. The dishes served in this restaurant are perfect, dinner starts with Amuse bouche which is served in an innovative style. Next are delicious appetizers and a main course to choose from two, then the last course and desserts, one of which is served in the shape of a statue. To sum up, dinner at Jungsik is an experience of the Lifetime presenting the most delicious dishes of Korean cuisine in an innovative and modern way. The most delicious dishes were abalone, gimbap, duck, statue and amuse bouche. I highly recommend Jungsik and I hope they will get the coveted third Michelin star just like their second place in New York

A refreshing and tasty take on Korean cuisine I was excited to snag a reservation for lunch at the Seoul location. Figure it was a good opportunity, especially since the Seoul location is slightly cheaper than the restaurant in NYC. The decor is sleek and modern. The service is excellent as you would expect, and they provided explanations of each dish in both Korean and English. We came here to celebrate a family birthday and they threw in a bonus birthday seaweed soup which was a smart touch. My overall take on this place is that it is a refreshing twist on familiar classics. Unlike some other fine dining restaurants, every dish was also incredibly tasty. The perfect audience for any lover of classic Korean cuisine. The portions were perfect and we left fully satisfied. Banchan - A great way to kick off the meal. Banchan is spirit but not taste. 4 small dishes meant to be eaten in progression. A light broth. Silken tofu in a perilla oil glaze. Beef tartare. The final bite was a true delight - foie grois that is lightly sweeten served with a thin slice of pear and a light jelly. The sweetness made it almost dessert like and refreshing? So good Pine Mushroom Muguk - A mix of mushrooms and a dumpling in a light broth. Nothing crazy but a light refreshing dish. Also my first time having lion's mane mushroom? Really liked it Abalone - I had actually eaten a ton of abalone the few days prior, but I did not mind Jungsik's take. They smoked it and it ended up almost tasting like steak? Incredibly meaty which removed a lot of the fishy take. So cool. Paired well with the butter sauce and mint oil. Miyeok Guk - Complimentary birthday soup. They actually charred the rice and it ended up tasting like paella. It was an exciting twist on a classic. Gimbap - This cost extra, but I could resist this supposed signature dish. A lightly battered and fried seaweed cigar stuffed with rice, bulgogi, and truffle. Served with a truffle sauce. It was a blast of umami and crispy. Def worth the cost if you have room in your belly. Okdom - A perfectly seared and flakey white fish. Served with a light anchovy broth and barley rice. Duck - The main course. Perfectly tender with a crisp skin. Served with several woody accouterments, including a roasted chestnut and lotus root. Suljigemi - A light sorbet made from the byproduct of makgeolli. Palette cleanser. Dulharebung - The classic jeju stone grandpa but made of spongecake and matcha ice cream. It looked like a piece of art. NY-Seoul - Inspired by elements from both cities.A mixture of pecan based bites with ice cream. Yummy. Sweet Potato - An ice cream shaped like a sweet potato on a bed of breadcrumbs made to look like soil. Served with your choice of tea or coffee.

Dined here for lunch on 7/6 when I was vacationing in Seoul and had a fabulous experience - might even be my favorite fine dining restaurant, up there with Kato and Providence (both similarly ranked Michelin star restaurants in Los Angeles) but way better value. My boyfriend and I thought every course - from appetizers to palette cleansers to the entrees - was a hit. They were the perfect blend of traditional Korean food with Western influences. We did not get any of the special add-ons since we tend to get really full at the end of a meal. We both got the duck entree, which was the best duck we've ever had. We got one of each dessert so we could try both, which were exactly what we wanted - not too sweet, heavy, or filling but very very delicious. I LOVED the dol hareubang dessert; the concept was an homage to Korea's Jeju Island, and the best part was that the dessert tasted even better than it looked. I'm not big on taking photos during meals and would rather focus on the experience, but I did snap a photo of this dessert :) The service was excellent; everyone was so attentive and friendly. The people dining seemed to mostly be Korean citizens of varying ages (late 20s thru the early 70s), as well as a few foreigners from the US, Japan, and China. In terms of value, the whole lunch came out to ~470,000 KRW for the two of us; the tasting menu for lunch was 200,000 KRW/person and we shared a bottle of wine. This equates to ~$339 USD total. (The dinner menu is 300,000 KRW/person.) Definitely excellent value compared to similar fine dining restaurants in the US. I hope to take my parents here during a future family trip to Korea.

I’ve been to many Michelin restaurants and Jungsik restaurant it definitely on the top of the list! The food and service experience is incredible, every dish is made to perfection and served that way. In addition to the cours menu we took some of the dishes from the additional menu and they were delicious! I recommend a lot coming to the restaurant!

A really nice and tiny market. Most goods are handmade. You can find some original and unique gifts like painted cap and wooden craft. The place to go if you want to buy quality souvenirs for your friends and family.

It's like a flea market. Lot's of small vendor stalls selling various crafts. Jewelry, bags and other knick knacks. Stays open late into the night. There are food stalls among the vendors also. It usually gets real crowded at nighttime. Not a place someone goes out of their way to shop at, just if you are nearby.

We had a great experience here. All of the vendors were very friendly and we ended up spending approximately $200 USD on various gifts for family members. Would highly recommend shopping for souvenirs here because you wont feel like your money wasn't well spent.

The combination of great flavors, attentive service, and environmental mindfulness makes me look forward to coming back.

All I can say is amazing and they truly deserve the 3 stars. You could truly appreciate the seasonal summer ingredients of Korea presented in a 12 course meal. So many components, techniques and flavors involved all executed to perfection. The pairing I got which included the introduction of different Korean Liquors to pair with the course which was an eye opener. The service was truly professional, from introducing the courses to serving the food it was truly a superb gastronomic experience from head to toe

my first time dining alone at a michelin rated restaurant and so glad i did it in mingles! the experience was simply amazing. the servers explained the food well and i really love how they use local ingredients and turn it into an innovative, mind blowing dish every time. the best representation of korean food done creatively imo. my fave of course was the hanwoo main dish. i also got the wine pairing to go with my meal. i left the resto super full, a bit tipsy and super happy!

For my wife’s birthday on August 9th, we had the chance to dine at Mingles, a Michelin 3-star restaurant in Seoul. Getting a reservation wasn’t easy, but once we stepped inside, I immediately understood why it’s so highly praised. The atmosphere was calm yet refined, and the service struck a perfect balance between attentive and comfortable. Every course was carefully curated, combining traditional Korean ingredients with a modern, creative touch. It really made me think, “So this is what Michelin 3 stars feel like.” 🍷 Wine Pairings • Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly 2021 (Domaine de Montille) Elegant and refreshing. It paired beautifully with the starters and seafood, instantly brightening the mood of the dinner. • Gevrey-Chambertin Sélection 2021 (Marchand-Tawse) A deep, expressive Pinot Noir with real presence. It matched the main course perfectly, smooth yet powerful. Overall, the food, service, wine, and atmosphere all exceeded my expectations. Most importantly, my wife loved every moment, which made the evening truly unforgettable. For a special occasion, I don’t think there’s a better place than Mingles.

It was the ultimate gastronomic experience. The cauliflower with sea urchin was, without a doubt, the best bite I’ve ever had. The beef tartare was also the best I’ve tried. I was disappointed that the crab risotto wasn’t available, and the grilled shrimp was more ordinary than expected.

This is the best Michelin Star Restaurant I have tried. Chef Kang is re-inventing Korean cuisine. The food was unreal. From surprise to surprise, Chef Kang really takes it to another level with his Mingling Pot and Risotto - both best ever I have eaten. The bimbim bap and Jang Trio were heavenly prepared. The wine pairing was on point and the service was beyond stellar. I had the chance to converse briefly with Chef Kang and manager / sommelier Lee who were both personable and charismatic. Thank you Chef Kang and Mingles Team. Until my next dinner. 2nd visit: the first visit was hard to beat but this dinner came by a little peak higher. Special appreciation to Hyeon J Lee for the attention to details. Thank you again the team at Mingles.

Not as crowded as I remembered since my last visit pre-covid. Looks like change of management but food is still good! We can find Korean food in other countries but I don’t see this dish available. It’s a braised dish (spicy or non spicy), highly recommend you to choose spicy. We had the boneless chicken and the seafood. Good for 4 persons. I think the seafood portions are a bit little but taste wise is good. Recommend anyone shopping in Myeongdong to try this dish!

Ordered a medium bowl of Andong Jjimdak with medium spice for sharing. It's the perfect comfort food for winter, featuring tender braised chicken, glass noodles, potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms. The flavors meld beautifully, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. Maybe a little too spicy for the kids to enjoy

We’ve been coming back to this spot since 2004, and it remains one of our must-eats every time we’re in Seoul. The classic Andong chicken stew is hearty, flavorful, and full of nostalgic comfort. This trip, we tried the seafood version for the first time and were extremely tickled to find a whole uncut octopus tossed in. Definitely an entertaining twist! That said, we still prefer the original chicken-only version for its deep, balanced flavor. No frills, just consistently satisfying and a little humor now and then with what shows up in the pot.

Lovely spicy korean Jjimdak, small size is still big for us 😂

we ordered normal-spicy jjimdak for 3 pax. the whole pain is charged at 32,000won. If you're a fan of braised dishes, Jjimdak is a must-try Korean dish. The chicken is cooked to perfection, offering a delightful texture and flavor. The sauce is such a good recipe, not too sweet/ salty/ oily like other Chinese-Korean food. Glass noodles are sticky but well-marinated.

What a letdown! The dishes we ordered were so salty they were almost inedible. To make things worse, the seafood in the vermicelli dish was clearly not fresh. With the high prices they charge, this meal felt like a complete rip-off. Save your money and go elsewhere – this place is not worth it.

We visited this restaurant four years ago, and this time we came back for a nostalgic visit. The Antong Chicken in a large portion was just right for our family of four. The taste remained the same as before, and the glass noodles and potatoes were exceptionally tender. The flavor had a slight spiciness, but it was within an acceptable range.

Easily one of the best dakgalbi experiences I’ve ever had. The flavor was deep and perfectly balanced: spicy, smoky, and rich without being overwhelming. The chicken was tender and juicy, cooks right in front of you with ramen, rice cakes, and just the right amount of sauce. The staff were friendly and knew exactly when to step in to help stir or adjust the heat. Everything felt perfectly timed so the texture stayed consistent and nothing overcooked. The cheese add-on was a creamy, stretchy, and it tied the whole dish together. The portion size was huge for the price, easily shareable but hard to stop eating once you start. The atmosphere was lively but not chaotic, full of that warm energy that makes Korean dining so fun. By the end, we had perfectly crispy bits of fried rice at the bottom that everyone fought over. If you’re in Hongdae and want authentic, flavorful dakgalbi that leaves you full and happy, Shin Mi Kyung is absolutely worth it.

The dakgalbi was really tasty — the chicken was flavorful and tender! 😋 But unfortunately, the person cooking for us wasn’t very attentive, so some of the food got burnt. A bit disappointing since the flavor was great overall. If cooked properly, it would’ve been perfect!

We were a bit shocked to see the upstairs dining environment being dirty and messy, there were rubbish and food scraps on the table, chair and floor even on the stairs basically everywhere... The service definitely needed improvement, she looks like she didn't care about a single thing and was standing there doing nothing, I was waiting for my food for a long time and yet she stands there doing nothing... Overall the fried chicken was good but the fries was overcooked and some sides taste terrible. Def need more improvement with service and dining environment..

The boneless mix was incredible! The crunch was outwordly and the flavors were crazy good. The service was ok, not much interaction or speaking at all. The prices... a little expensive but it must be the area. We liked that there were mostly locals (although we were given a fork instead of chopsticks like the rest of costumers). The only downside it's that it was quite loud.

The food was exceptional. The ambience and the location added into it. A must visit place to try the boneless chicken delicacy. The frech wries and potato wedges were also good. Complimentary to the chicken. Pair it with a chilled Coke or your preference of drink. Exquisite!

We ordered the triple chicken platter ( original, sweet and spicy, garlic honey) so that there is variety. There is an option of boneless chicken too. The chicken meat is fragrant, flavourful and succulent. My favourite is the sweet and spicy chicken. They provide gloves. Waiting time is about 20-30 minutes. Service is okay.

I've rarely met a Korean Fried Chicken that I disliked and the chicken here was no exception. In fact, we found it absolutely delicious, that perfect combination of tender and crispy. We ordered the plate of three boneless chicken pieces, and I liked the honey garlic the best. And we ordered some tteokbokki to go with it, because we had to try tteokbokki in Seoul. It was a little much for the two of us but SO DELICIOUS. Goes well with beer.

The chicken was extra crispy and it's cheaper than the other chicken joints. It came pretty quick. It was really juicy even though the skin was real crispy. The 쌀떡튀김 was pretty good too. The beer on tap was ice cold when it came. There is a big screen t.v. so you can watch it while eating.

We visited this braised chicken (jjimdak) restaurant and had just the right amount of food for three people—it was perfect! The atmosphere inside is quite dark but unique and full of personality. One fun detail: the call bell is shaped like a chicken doll, which made us smile. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so flavorful that I’m already planning to come back someday. Bonus tip: when you leave, you can play rock-paper-scissors with the staff—if you win, you get a 500 KRW discount!

The most delicious jjimdak in Sinchon! The design of this restaurant is so cool, and you even use a rubber duck to call the servers. The atmosphere of this place is so fun and lively. The chicken with added mozzarella cheese, fries, and squid was so good. Everything tasted amazing, and there was an unlimited self bar with rice and side dishes. To top it all off, you can even try to beat your server in a game of rock, paper, scissors to get a small discount. I highly recommend checking this place out!

The best burger I had to date! The signature burger was perfectly made - crispy and juicy chicken fillet with a soft bun and fresh pickles. Their menu changes periodically so I am keen to check it out again the next time I visit Seoul.

The place looks like an American Diner, they have part of the menu that changes every couple of months. When we were there, the Japanese menu was there with Amazing things. We ate the Signature Burger and ordered most of the side dishes. The potatoes and the mushrooms were incredible. The burger was a step-up of Korean fried chicken. I was sad when I finished eating it hahaha. Will for sure recommend to anyone I know coming to Seoul. Plus the area is incredible to walk and get lost in the trendy popup stores.

Yo, this place is an absolute GEM. FIRST……Atmosphere - chill , low light , good music, good vibe. Staff is nice and speaks English too ++🤩. Second, the food ….. absolutely top tier. The chef has to be a genius born to cook. Ever wanted to taste Michelin star food ? Well here you go. He could easily double his prices, but it’s surprisingly affordable!! And if you want to lose your mind order the dessert . The brownie with ice cream will be the best thing you have ever tasted in your life.

Dec 2024 You have a choice of chicken burger, chicken burger or chicken burger for your mains. 😁 They only specialise in one mains - take a guess which it is but supported by several good sides. Think of it like a pop group with one main singer but several strong members. - fried potato with pork oil and truffle oil is a strong support - mushroom provides good vocal backup - eggplant is the backup dancer that fills the space Finding the restaurant is a bit of an adventure, it's located at Basement 1. You can either take the lift to Basement 1 and walk across the carpark (and follow the floor signs) or walk around the building until you find the spiral staircase and walk downstairs. All in all, a good lunch experience.

You will get the best chicken burgers in Seoul. More authentic and delicious than in America🥹 The only thing was the air is filled with oil smell and chicken, but that is nothing compared to the taste.

You will be labelled as “Le Freak” if you have not tried this burger already. Deep fried crispy chicken patty, filled with coleslaw and comes with a whiff of spiciness. Definitely one of the better burgers in Seoul, which is a must try if you are in Seongsu

Good location and festive ambiance but a little overrated to have queues. Order bone in unless you want to get all the boneless breast part. Bbq chicken cheeseling tastes better than bhc cheese sprinkle. The sweet spicy dip is unique and good though, good for people who can’t take too much heat. The local beer makes the chicken better but i wish rice and salad were available too for seniors and families. Chicken tastes better than a 3 but did not meet very high expectations.

Tried BHC Chicken in Myeongdong and loved the chicken with cheese - it was finger-licking good! The option to top up for just wings and drum was a great feature. However, the package promo set was a bit rigid, with no flexibility to top up or change flavors. Overall, the food was good, but would be even better if the menu options were more flexible. Maybe consider adding more customization options? 4/5 stars!

It's always a blessing to have a friend who speak Korean and helps get a table quicker and a good table on the first floor. We waited for 10 minutes and manager to shop at Olive & Young in 10 minutes too - crazy. We had to try fried chicken with Soju, since it was first time trying it no complaint, I loved it . The staff were helpful with our order but sad part was most of the dishes were sold out so no fries were available. Otherwise we were the last to leave. Important washroom is available just opposite the restaurant on the first floor- important thing.

We had the standart fried chicken dish (chicken had bones). The chicken is seasoned very good and is really crunchy. We had one plate for two people wich was enough for us. By side we got some potato wedges wich were equally well seasoned and some kind of fruit or vegetable (i cant really tell) and a spicy asian style sauce. All in all a gret place to eat fried chicken.

It was my first time trying it and I find myself looking out for it each time I enter a restaurant now. Price is also very reasonable and affordable. I totally see myself coming back again, during this trip itself!

We were visiting LOL Park and happened to find this restaurant on google maps, the Bossam, side dishes and sauces were so flavourful and the pancake was cooked perfectly and delicious!! We went to a lot of popular rated tourist restaurants like Odarijip but the flavour and service was not as good as this restaurant, we ranked Jongno Dodam as the most delicious restaurant so far which is why I am writing this review. The kind lady not only gave us side dish refills but even gave us cabbage and chives refill for the Bossam. They were extremely hospitable and generous 💗

If you can try to get the cherished counter seats (only five I believe) so you get the full view of the action. A set of assorted bites comes next: a heavily fish tinged rice square; fried bonbons with odd fillings and two excellently salty-crunchy lightly fried flowers. Then mung bean jelly salad, a harmony of delicate seasonal sliced strips in the five cardinal colours. A soft seafood umami of the croaker and stuffed steamed crab. To cleanse the palate a refreshing Naengmyeon of homemade herbal noodles in a cold tomato water. The strength of the vegetal taste in the noodle highly enjoyable. Next, a platter of whitefish and octopus sashimi; a kimchi-pork handroll; mackerel rolls and a sublime Yukhoe. The thick sliced raw beef paired with julienned Asian pear the perfect combination. Into the main beef course of grilled sirloin and eggplant, a royal dish called Yukmyeon deconstructed. The marination on the beef quite unctuous and well paired with the summer vegetables. A bibimbap follows providing a considerable diverse set of flavours, hard to gist really. Finish up with an ice cream sandwich, puffed rice balls glazed in ginger sugar and perilla seed toffee. The toffee being the standout among those three. Complete the seating with a final bit of curated tea (suggested by this guy) or coffee. Straightforward by some of the haute cuisine gastronomy standards but truly an amazing experience.

The chicken was nice and crispy and juicy which had been seasoned well and went well with the different sauces available to dip. The greens and fries were a mixture of regular fries, onion rings, fried okra and fried baby tomatoes which was an interesting addition. The food was good but not the best fried chicken available and would have liked the chicken batter to have some more extra flavour. The fries went well with the concept of fried chicken and fries that I enjoy. The jerk sauce was ok but the other white sauce went well with the chicken and fries. The waiting staff were really kind and helpful as well.
