After checking in i asked the desk staff to send the housekeeping staff up to our room to clean the bathroom again . It hadn't been cleaned properly. And in a top drawer, there was cake crumbs and a used tea bag wrapper, from a previous guest. The bathroom was cleaned as per my request. The crumbs and wrapper were still in the drawer a week later. During the week, i kicked a flip flop under my bed. I had to pull the bed out to retrieve it. Under the 2 twin beds, it was thick with dust. The housekeeping staff made up the 2 beds every day, cleaned the bathroom & left clean towels. They didnt sweep the floor behind/around/under the waste paper bin, around the dressing table or the balcony floor, which was unswept when we checked in. The balcony table was not wiped clean once. My stay (with my friend) was mid October and our weather was hot hot hot! And the rooftop pool and surrounding sun bathing area was closed. And sadly, all the front desk staff (apart from 2 men manning the desk on Sunday 26 Oct, very friendly, very helpful....and both were smiling and jovial) were not very friendly. Does no one smile? Are the hospitality staff trained not to appear happy to see us guests coming through the doors? I and my friend loved our stay in Faro but sadly the Eva Senses wasn't the great hotel we were led to expect. We read all it offered online before we booked. It looked perfect. A little expensive, but we didnt mind that if it was as great as it stated on their website. Its a shame, we were really very disappointed after being super excited about going to stay at the Eva Senses. Breakfast buffet was excellent, pianist absolutely fantastic, views from the restaurant amazing, the hotel in general spotless. But just not our room. Sadly, we feel very, very let down.

The roof top bar and food service is excellent and the infinity pool looks lovely though I did not try it as it was October. The restaurant is plush and that is where the ample breakfast is served. Only slight negative was that some of the balcony’s on lower floors don’t have a view but they do have privacy. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

One problem was the lights,if you needed the toilet at night you basically had to light the whole room. The floors are all scuffed up, scratched. They look dirty but I thinks it just years of wear and tear. The beds are old, big dip in the center of them. No comforter at all. Just a thin sheet. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, it truly is beautiful. We had the perfect family holiday here and will definitely be back. The hotel is spotlessly clean, food is lovely but the attentiveness of the staff is exceptional! My son has quite a lot of severe food allergies and they catered for these amazingly. The waiters/bar staff/reception all made him feel special and at ease. The care everyone gave him was just amazing, the pool bar staff, staff in the Grand bar and at breakfast (which was prepared separately to the buffet). I cannot emphasise how nice and genuine they all were. Quinta do lago is beautiful. There is a spar just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Behind the spar is a lovely Italian, vero Italian, that you can either dine in or get a take away pizza from. Again, they were also good and aware of food allergies. Koko is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and is definitely a must to visit! The food is beautiful, and is lovely for families, really relaxed. Part of Koko offers take away ice creams. The boys loved the water sports/inflatables and most of all playing in the lake amongst the fish. The beach shuttle service the hotel offers is also fantastic! Pool area was good, always sun loungers available when we went (end of Aug) though it did feel a bit tight round the pool. It was a bit cold in the water but not too bad. Gym and spa were very nice. Beach shuttle worked great but watch out for €35 charge on sun loungers (not in Wydhams control) Walkable to local spar Italian and coffee shop along with the lake and the shack restaurant. Very friendly staff which really makes the trip. Our room had been beautifully prepared for our special stay & was spotlessly clean with a nice view.
