Casey and the whole team did an amazing job! They were responsive, thoughtful, and easy to work with in all of the planning. We rented a small tent for overflow, which they got all set up for us. They also let us use their PA system for toasts. They did everything they could to make it simple and easy for us. The meat was really well seasoned and melted in your mouth! As for the fish tacos, they were returned due to a stale aftertaste, but the customer service given by the waitress was amazing about it, took care of it immediately, and asked if I wanted to order something else. The vibe in boxcar is set up to keep the customer busy playing games which I was, so it’s vital to communicate with your customer or setup proper expectations like a time frame or let me know you may not get a text so please come back and check the window in 5-10 minutes. So trying to blame me was wild to me. But he completely lacked professionalism and his customer service was terrible, so for him to keep saying he was the kitchen manager was really surprising. It was a tiny problem that could have been fixed easily with good customer service but instead was escalated bc of arrogance. It’s called hospitality! Everyone can’t do it! I have always seen it so busy and thought that I would try a local restaurant with my family. Well last Wednesday, I see that all of the hype must be for the open mics and live music, because it sure can't be about the food. In all honesty this was the saddest dinner I have had in a very long time. Because we did not want to attend open mic we sat in the dinning room which was great, but our table was dirty. We ended up ordering the cheesesteak egg rolls (3/5) and deviled eggs (3/5) for appetizers. The eggs were okay, however it was disappointing that there was no cheesesteak in the egg rolls, but instead chunky hamburger meat. As an entree we ordered shrimp po boy (2/5), shrimp basket (2/5), and I the pulled chicken plate with baked beans and mac & cheese. It took about 15 minutes for the food to come out and I was disappointed. My pulled chicken did not look like the pictures or pulled chicken. Instead it was chicken rib meat. After our waitress explained they had mad changes recently, I sent it back and got the pulled pork bbq sandwich instead. The shrimp on the po boy and in the basket barely had flavor. Not to mention the breading kept falling off the shrimp. For this to be a bbq joint my pulled pork didn't taste like it was made with love. It barely had any smoke flavor, it was a little on the dry side and my cole slaw was heavy on the celery seed. The cole slaw in the shrimp basket on the other hand was not edible at all. We won't even talk about the hushpuppies. The only thing we enjoyed was the french fries. The quality of the food needs to be way better.

We drove 2 hours to attend the event. When I arrived, the place was completely empty. Please see pic. There was not a table in sight, so I was confused. We were seated at the bar- which is not what I expected, but was acceptable if that was the best that was available. The music was suposed to start at 7:00. See event advertisement. I sat down; ordered a drink and an appetizer. 7:15 came around, and there was no music. And no other guests. I could tell we had made a big mistake. I asked the bar tender what time the musicians would start- and she informed me there were no live music scheduled for that night. Even though they advertised there would be. There was no DJ. The place is larger than I expected and well kept. The music and atmosphere was great. Not too loud, but enough to keep the patrons grooving. The service was good and I liked everything about it. Absolutely scrumptious and packed full of chicken, cheese and kimchi. The bulgogi kimbap was pretty big and tasty too. Portions are excellent here and they don't skimp out, which is much appreciated. Our order came out quick and the staff was friendly. I like how you can get your own water and sauces too. The vibe is pretty chill with plenty of seating, multiple TV screens, free classic arcade games, and fuseball. Bathrooms were also clean and parking was spacious. It was a pleasant time. Would return for sure!

There was a mixed and fun crowd, which was so great to see and everyone was having fun! Only draw back was it was very warm and there was not a lot of circulation. So glad that they kept the water cold and next to the bar, so you could grab as much as you needed. And you definitely needed it!
