We did not know that they had a Kattumaram Coastal Food Festival going and the only option was a Veg or Non-Veg Festival thali. Since we wanted thali we decided to get one Veg and one Non-Veg Thali. You can see what was included in the pictures. While the food and flavors were good, I was a little disappointed with the overall service which is why I am giving a 4 star rating. The staff was not attentive as I would expect from such a restaurant. As part of the festival, I would ask that the staff educate guests on how the food should be enjoyed. As someone who was having a South Indian Thali for the first time, which I told our waiter, it would be good to suggest what goes well with what and what other options they have. But again I had chance and it turned out delicious we didn’t order much as it was dinner. We order two varieties in great quantity which are chicken and mutton with roti. Taste was so good. Seating arrangements are also good but it can be better for large groups like ours. Hygiene is well maintained. Ambience was nice. There’s also a TV for little entertainment. We enjoyed very much. About price I didn’t have any idea as I didn’t look at the menu. But from our bill total my assumption is that it’s not that much costly. About parking there’s a little issue because in front of restaurant you can only park two wheelers as restaurant is on main road and I have no idea how they manage to park four wheelers but at the night we managed to park ours cars in front of other shops as they were closed. The sweet and sour chicken was as if you have bought it from a street vendor as was the noodles. The crackling spinach was still reminiscent of the old menu. Madhavrao - A go to place for the Marathi food. It has a cosy settings in the interiors-not loud. Service is polite and friendly. Well designed Menu with good dark brown furniture, simple and elegant crockery/tableware and well planned lighting sets up the mood of 200 years before. We friends will remember its Hot served Mohanthaal and Puran Podi- a delicious and sweet memory. It summed up the whole dinning experience. Had just ordered two items and they were quite good. The chicken 65 is great. However, I took 8 ppl for a birthday dinner because of my first experience and it turned out to backfire completely. Cheesy potato roasty was tastless and hardly any cheese was there which you can not find much by seeing or by eating🤣. 5. They had given name fruit yoghurt but there was only banana n apples in it...right now there is season of manago, grapes and other fresh fruits also..though they had made just ordinary..instead at home we can make more better fruit yoghurt and all the other food items. 6. Mix sauce pasta was just ordinary that too again no taste and very dry. 7. In the name of millet soup it was moong dal watery liquid and tastless, and broccoli almond soup was also tasteless and watery instead of creamy texture. As i mentioned above except pizza, panipuri and small square size cake we were not satisfied with the quality of all the other foods. This indiacted owner is just running the restaurant for the business purpose only. At the same time all these foods we can get with very delicious taste at some other places. None of their buffet menu was worth to thier prize of rs. 900 per person. Fancy name of menu can not attract people for long time. We would never recommend this place to anyone. The place has been my favourite for it's simplicity and variety of low calorie food. The buffet spread is well managed (Though limited) but they ensure you try out everything in the spread. The food tastes awsome and that has been hallmark of the place. One suggested improvement opportunity would be to get the place a bit renovated as it has the same interiors and tables/chairs since it started ages back.

I felt so fresh walking inn, :') life felt good! There are few nonveg places in Paldi, this one was a savior. They serve Rumali Roti also. I wanted to have Biryani but it was over by 8pm. The Pour Over (made with a bean they called Vienna Roast) was lovely - great balance of aroma, acids and flavor. Well chosen beans. I can't get this grade of coffee at most other cafes in Ahmedabad, including Starbucks. They also sell some of their roasts. The attitude of the staff was friendly and helpful. That is appreciated. The atmosphere of the place is nice and relaxed - not like a buzzy overdose of activity. But then it was a Tuesday afternoon. ;) They were playing rock classics on the music system, at low volumes. That was a pleasure. And the seating area upstairs was very inviting - very cosy and spaced out. And the music was even softer upstairs - which is great. The place would've gotten a 5* rating from me of their loo was slightly better maintained and presentable, keeping in tune with the rest of the cafe. But WC flush was constantly leaking, the wall was patched up, the tap was taped up, the cleanliness could be better. Could definitely do with bit more attention.
