We ordered the Empire, Baja, Vietnamese and Dirty South tacos all with fish. The fish tasted fresh and fried just right. I have to say the Empire was my favorite. It was so tasty. We also ordered the wings and those were outstanding. They were oh so crispy and the sauce was the right balance of sweet and salty. To drink I had the lime in the coconut with rum and I found it very refreshing and beachy. We will definitely go again when back in Galveston.

Did a quick Google review and realize I'm missing out of some great food. Arrive early Saturday evening for dinner, was seated quickly. Got our drink order and app fairly quickly also. With help of the waiter, ended up getting the seawall platter and shrimp po boy. I ended up going with blackened shrimp and fish with Mac. It was delicious, along with the large soft roll. Wife only down side was that the po boy didn't have a remoulade sauce to go with the sandwich. Couldn't eat dinner without dessert, their award winning ganache pecan brownie with ice cream. For us there was to much ganache and chocolate sauce, but once we scrap it away and are the brownie it was pretty good. Would def recommend trying this place out if you haven't. I will come back to try other dishes the next time we're in Galveston. Another nice feature was the upstairs outdoor patio where they serve cold drinks with a great view. No need to purchase anything to check out the patio and seating.

I can't find any fault with this place at all. There are a few things to consider before choosing it though. If you are mobility challenged, the restaurant is on the second story, and it's a pretty challenging set of stairs. I would say there are about 20 tables under the roof (but with no doors or windows, you still feel that amazing breeze) so that you are out of the sun, or you can sit on the deck with no cover overhead, but it can be hot with the sun beating down on you. I have eaten on the deck at night and it was just magical. If you have long hair, I would bring something to tie it back with, or you will be struggling to eat on windy days. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was the best shrimp and grits I believe I've ever had, so amazing! My husband ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and asparagus and we nearly passed out because it was that good. We also got a side order of the shrimp stuffing balls—think hushpuppies stuffed with shrimp. They were fantastic! Creme Brulee for dessert was also great. Portions were perfect, we didn't finish anything. Price was honestly under what we expected and spent less than $90 for 2 entrees, side order of stuffing balls, and dessert. Environment was fantastic and I so much to look at in there! We can't wait to come back and hopefully get Dwayne! Management, if you see this, please let Dwayne know he provided top tier experience and really made our dining experience exceptional.

We shared the crab spinach dip which was our favorite part of our meal SO GOOD! And we split the wedge salad which was also so tasty. We liked the blue cheese vinegarette. And the salmon was cooked perfectly and was flaky. Not pictured is the pecan pie dessert a la mode which was also really good. We can't wait to come back and try different entrees. Virginia was our server. She was great right out of the gate! We chose inside dining since it was still a little warm outside. The inside if really cool because they have a pool view right along the side of the restaurant. Apparently, it is a family-owned restaurant and motel. We did not sit on that side, but it was neat to see. They have outdoor seating that faces the ocean, regular table seating inside, booth seating inside, and an inside bar area. We were in between lunch and dinner, but we were very hungry. We decided on the Shrimp Bang Bang, gumbo, oysters, and friend pickles (don't judge! ;)) Everything was very good. I think my favorite was the Shrimp Bang Bang and the gumbo. The siracha sauce was very tasty. Virginia was super throughput our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, affordable and the portions were monstrous! I had a shrimp po boy which was to die for and hubby had a shrimp dinner with a variety of different shrimp which was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. I got the Boudin balls and the blackened stuffed flounder with shrimp. I’m sure you’re thinking what I thought. Oh the broccoli is gonna be bland. The pasta is gonna be bland. The only flavor is gonna be in the fish everything and I mean everything had flavor put in balls. I mean, just look at it. Chefs kiss I will be back with friends and family. No one does breakfast burritos like Broncos. My dad used to love ordering their huevos ala mexicana and I used to eat 2 potato and egg burritos when I was little before I was introduced to the actual Bronco. I am sucker for chorizo and eggs, so that, PLUS potatoes, cheese, and beans is just a banger. Personally, I ask for a Bronco no bacon, but it does come with it. I love how they always have Jarritos, and at one point they knew my order so well, they would say "ok see you soon Beatriz." like if that's not service IDK what is. The family is the best, sweetest family you could ever meet. The staff is always so polite, and their new ways to order is just the cherry on top. No more waiting for them to answer the phone feeling like caller number 7 winning on the radio. Although, it was always worth it IMO. If you're new to Galveston and it's your first time visiting, I'm always going to suggest going to Broncos.

The staff was so very friendly and helpful. Also, we loved that you can personalize your burrito with all the ingredients you like. My husband ordered the Bronco burrito with no adjustments and said it was one of the best he's ever had. The green salsa packs a good spicy kick, but the flavor is so good. I ordered the Bronco No No, which was the regular Bronco burrito minus two ingredients. It was delish and perfect for my liking! So, on our way out of town we grabbed them again for lunch today. Mixed reviews on everything. Food was good. Miga burrito 5/10. The miga plate says it has cheese and beans and I thought it would be made the same. It just had eggs and tortilla chips with a slice of bacon. The Chorizo ala Mexicano plate 10/10. Ask for extra tortilla and was given one for free. They were delicious. The server gave us the wrong food. But was quick to apologize and correct. I have a problem with really long hair and no hair nets. Saw this twice. They are TINY and massively over priced for the size. Taste wise they are extremely average. The only reason I’ll remember I ate them is because I’m so shocked everyone says they’re great. Otherwise they are just mid. Not bass, not good, but not memorable. Now the BBQ on the other hand 👏👏👏 Brisket is falling apart and moist. The ribs be outstandingly delicious. I was pleasantly surprised, sausage has a lot of flavor and their BBQ sauce is also really good and flavorful. For sides we got Mac n cheese and green beans. Green beans were good, Mac n cheese was a disgrace considering how good everything else was. It’s giving elementary school cafeteria. You can taste the chalky powdered cheese in it and zero seasoning. No salt or anything. I was unpleasantly surprised by that. Honestly though the meats were so good I don’t even care about that. I just will not be ordering those items again. 100% this place competes with all awar the award places in Houston. Brisket is definitely better than Truth BBQ and The Pit Room. I’ll definitely be back.

I will not make this mistake on our next visit to the island. Barbacoa was succulent and juicy at every bite. The one thing this place has is character and don't let the small shop fool you. If it had all the bealls and whistles of a big-time shop, then it would not have the character appearance it currently has. I have been dying to try some Texas BBQ and a few locals told me that I won’t find it here in Galveston. Oh how they were wrong! I kept hope and found Pennies! I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The staff is super nice and friendly and make you feel like family. On to the food. The ribs, brisket, and chicken almost made me cry. I had to stop myself from licking my fingers after every bite. The coleslaw was also so damn good. The photos I took don’t do it justice because I was already tearing it up. On top of that, Cameron blessed us with some pork tamales that were out of this world. The masa was perfectly soft and their flavor reminded me of Christmas. ON TOP OF THAT, they had this awesome chocolate dessert that my wife and I were fighting over. If you are a true chocoholic like me, you cannot skip it. They don’t know what I am going through, these two elderly men and one young woman who have had some extra special meaning to me for some reason this week.
