Beautiful spot for wine tastings and a bite when you are in the area. We stop by whenever we are passing by. The indoor tasting room is a cool barn and the outdoor tasting area is gorgeous in the warmer months. Either way you can’t go wrong. They have a lot of wines to taste, something for every palette. We really enjoyed the bright steel Chardonnay and took some home for another day.

Took my kids to sit out at Flight at Johnson Estate. They have juices for the kids. 3 wine flights (good size pours) are $15 and charcuterie boards are $30. The board we got was so fresh and delicious!

You can take a stroll through the vineyard. On select weekends- you can take a tour with the owner through the Vineyard to learn about the property- amazing experience.

Went for my bachelorette party today. I am the bride and was wearing attire to reflect this. Staff were rude immediately upon entry, and informed me, the bride, that they did not have tables or bar space to serve my party, despite room being clearly visible. Staff continued to treat us poorly and treat us as thought we were not welcome, and forced us to buy bottles of sub par wine (all of which was terrible) until we left. Horrible experience and nearly my bachelorette party experience. We went to Merritt Winery instead, which was wonderful. Patterson Library is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever been in. The architecture, especially inside, is stunning. You are in store for a grand reception room on the first floor complete with grand piano, one of the best collections of avian taxidermy and always a local artist exhibiting in the downstairs gallery. A favorite library of mine, rich in history and the comforts that an old library should have. I've always encountered friendly and helpful librarians here. It appears more formal than casual upon first entrance but really it is casual and inviting to all ages. Traveling through the area and decided to check it out. The location is COVID safe with enhanced cleaning and plastic sampling cups. We get it, but prefer a wine glass for sampling. Looked too much like a sample at the doctor's office.
The view of the lake from up on the hill, with the vineyard below is pretty spectacular, even on a rainy day. Wines were not really our style, but certainly worthy of a stop. Reasonable sampling cost.

Employee was rude and basically ignored us. Wine tastings are flights only. The "dry" flight has a sweet wine included which makes no sense. You are not allowed to taste individual wines or substitute the flight. The wines were not good and no one bought anything. It was horrible. We were told to go to Barcelona Beach to get good besch glass! When I Google searched the beach this lighthouse turned up. The employees were very nice and had a lot of fun information about the lighthouse. Returning home from a weekend in Canada, the Barcelona Lighthouse was the perfect stop to break up our drive. Absolutely worth the short drive off the highway. Stopped at the small gift shop first. The very welcoming volunteer gave us a bit of history and directed us to the visitor’s center to “take the test” and get tickets to tour the lighthouse. The last few steps to the top of the lighthouse are witches steps in a narrow passage. They have a mock up at the visitor’s center so you will be comfortable once you get to that point in the lighthouse. Honestly I was a bit concerned but found it easy to navigate. We stepped inside the base of the Lighthouse where a volunteer gave us the full history of the lighthouse. Fun and informative. Once we climbed the re-created staircase, we were greeted by a gentlemen who helped us navigate the small witches stairway to the top…think climbing through a submarine hatch with left right left steps. Although there is only room for a few people at the top, the view was beautiful.

I was visiting the North East/Erie, PA area for only my second time.
Railfanning was the primary objective and a friend of mine informed me of the Westfield Railfan Park nearby in NY so I decided to visit.
The park is situated on land between the
CSX and Norfolk Southern mainlines.
The park has a parking area along with
picnic tables, benches, grills among the
amenities.
There were no restroom facilities at the park at the time of my visit.
Up to 50 or more trains pass the park per 24 hours total combined between the two railroads.
During a few hour visit, I saw some Parents as well as Grandparents bringing children to the park and having lunch at the picnic tables while trains passed.
The grounds were well maintained with the grass mowed.
There are two railroad crossings adjacent to the park. One for CSX and the other for Norfolk Southern.
Common sense should be used by visitors in keeping the park clean (taking your trash back out with you)and staying off nearby residents properties as I did notice some no trespassing signs on at least one property adjacent to the park.
All in all, I enjoyed my visit and will return again in the future.

When we went, this railfan kid just kept getting in our shots no matter how hard I tried . He kept moving out the way of a phone pole that kept him hidden . To wrap up my review , you gotta be the lucky number one to be there and it's going to be when after school starts, so the railfan tripod kid that hogs the scene isn't going to be there.
