As we were ushered into a cellar, we saw a group of people seated outdoor with a nice view and a heat lamp above them for tasting. It’s more about the whole experience. That is why I pay more to taste wine from the winery itself. Otherwise, I might as well go to a wine bar.

As I was searching for wineries in Sonoma, I came across the website for Moondance Cellars. I was intrigued by the idea of tasting wine while visiting with horses and dogs. David and Priscilla are a husband/wife duo who have been making wine on their own terms, using both standard and innovative techniques. During the tasting, David explained his whole process to us, including the history of Moondance.
