The site is currently under maintenance, and when we visited, the entire area was fenced off and looked more like a construction zone than a historic site. It was hard to get a good view of the tower or appreciate its historical significance with all the construction going on. The surrounding grounds, including parts of the graveyard and ruins, were closed off, making it even harder to explore. Not only was access to most of the site restricted, but the area felt like a safety hazard with uneven paths and construction debris scattered around.
