The hotel is situated primarily in a residential area on the beach with its very long promenade, close to the town with its many restaurants, cafes and bars. There are taxis outside the hotel or the local tram service a short stroll away, which will take you to the old town in the centre of Valencia. We were fortunate to have a room at the back of the hotel with sea views. Being a morning person it was wonderful to watch the sunrise and listen to the sounds of the sea and the fountains below. The staff are professional, warm and attentive who will try to solve any issues that arise. A particularly thank you to Nuria in ‘Customer Experiences’ who helped make our stay extra special. When calling reception Catalin could literally recognise my voice and respond in my native language, without having to tell who it is. He ensured our stay is fantastic and that we are happy with the room. The other staff had amazing attention to detail too and unfortunately I didn’t get their name, but hope they are recognised. For example the blonde lady on the terrace remembered that I liked the chocolates with coffee and she gave me more chocolates every time! There is often free street parking available and a cab into Valencia and back works out cheaper for me than parking in town. The missing star is for the 'gym' and 'pool' which didn't use! I have only had bar food and room service, both of which were really good. Any problems, the friendly reception staff have sorted out quickly. All in all, its my favourite Valencia hotel.

The hotel itself is lovely, it’s quirky, and feels very high end. Its location is perfect and feels very safe. All of these points would point to being a 5 star review but unfortunately a few points let this hotel down. We did arrive to the hotel late (around 1am), which is obviously on us for arriving late, but our hotel check-in experience was very slow. All our credit cards are on file so should’ve been a fast process but being asked for our passport details numerous times, manually charging a hold to our room etc etc made this check in around 15mins, late at night, this could’ve been made easier. Not a massive deal but just a room for improvement. The breakfast was a little lacklustre, nothing major but could do with a bit more love. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here. From the moment we arrived, the front of house staff made every special effort with our family of two small children not only physically helping us with our bags and large double buggy but caring for our kids, distracting them with bubbles and being generally caring and wonderful full of tailor made recommendations. The housekeepers were exceptionally adaptable to our need for a cot and extra bed and every day was like coming back to a new room. The breakfast staff are some of the kindest warmest people we have met and again flexible with our needs and distraction techniques. The little stories and explanations about Valencia made our stay even more poignant. The hotel itself is amazingly well situated and the envy of all the tourists walking by. The food at breakfast is very good with table service and a wide choice of freshly cooked/prepared dishes all top class. The room was spacious and comfortable with silent air con and soft comfortable beds. Our only slight issues are taxi access but that is the issue with a central Valencia location. We will definitely be back and looking for MYR hotels in future. To the management your Valencia hotel is a prime example of how to mix luxury with friendliness and impeccable hosting skills.

There is zero service here, as a matter of fact the front desk could be replaced by a self check in screen and would offer you a better experience. We had 6 different people in 4 days, no one remembers you, no one asks how you are, they completely ignored my birthday although we stayed in their most expensive room and visited for the second time a couple of years apart. We asked for a late checkout as I am pregnant and wanted to have 30min of rest before our flight and they asked us for a full day charge for a checkout at 5pm, although the room was empty. Just abhorrent! They do not care one bit about hospitality! I will never understand hotels at this level employing such low level staff. Additionally one thing to be aware is that the hotel is extremely loud, both inside and out. The suites have zero sound proofing and are surrounded by cleaners quarters and staircase. Better bring good earplugs. PS to the manager in the response: we have literally mentioned EVERY day TWICE that we have a late flight and asked for a late check-out. The fact that you are not even aware of this is making it infinetely worse. You are a 5 star hotel, your attitude and response resemble nothing worth a 5 star. And a check in at 2 pm instead of 4pm should be a given at this level, this is not a 'favour' it's just managing housekeeping per expected arrival schedule. You have a long way to go to understand what a 5 star service looks like.

The little touches like a card on your bed each night telling you the weather for the next few days with a treat, the coffee brought to your room, lovely comfortable beds and pillows set the hotel apart. It’s clean and has a beautiful fresh fragrance throughout the hotel. It’s air conditioned during the hot days so you walk into a nice cool room. Valet parking is so helpful in the Old Town you just arrive and they park your car. The Roman ruins throughout the building are incredible. Would highly recommend the hotel.
