While looking over the menu, I heard the manager yelling at one of the wait staff, which was absolutely unprofessional. And when we went up to pay and ask for a box, the manager implied that the server wasn't doing her job which was ridiculous. There were only 2 waitresses in that whole restaurant. He had no cause to be so unprofessional about his employee. I said that she was great and working hard despite the work conditions and he said she was great. Which is weird. No apologies to her. I made sure that she knew that we appreciated her efforts and she winked knowingly. That manager is creating a hostile work environment. It was such a gem, we made a point to come back a second time. The raspberry tea is fabulous - order it - also the cranberry mimosa was super delicious! We had two meals there and both were wonderful! We sat in the outdoor patio area both times and really enjoyed each meal. The street traffic can be a little noisy but not enough to make us wish we were inside. Servers were wonderful and service was timely. Both times we were there parking was not really a challenge - once parked on the street and once at a lot about 2 blocks away - not a big deal. Definitely recommend this spot if you are in the Colorado Springs area. Food was fresh and delicious!

I don’t know what has changed since then but it was far from the best. The biscuits themselves were really good, but they use sausage balls made for pizza and all they do is drop some handful of these sausage ball/chunks into white gravy… the sausage was chewy and tasted boiled when it should have been fried separately and added in. Super super disappointing and I have to believe it’s because it’s a cost thing and it’s cheaper to get these premanufactured sausage balls. It was the week everyone was graduating so the place was pretty packed but we had a reservation upfront. I got the red rocks and we shared a few appetizers. I was worried they would be out of the cinnamon rolls. There parking lot was decent size with plenty of parking. We were seated within about 10 minutes. Some of the tables are set up community style and you get to make new friends. Service was prompt and friendly plus I saw staff jumping in to help out everywhere needed. I asked for a cinnamon roll right after being seated as it was a full house. I really wanted that cinnamon roll. I had heard many good things about these rolls. My hopes were not dashed. This cinnamon roll was plate size drowned in cream cheese frosting/glaze. It was probably one of the best bites I've ever tasted in my life. I did the veggie omelet with a few modifications. Added sausage and the green chili salsa. Im not a huge fan of green chili but wow that was really good. If you have no spice tolerance it has a bit. Hubby found it mild but also loved it. I loved the little signs all around and really hope yall do charge the 5 dollar whining fee when needed. There is an extensive menu and the coffee was very good! So um, not sure what to make of this restaurant. I'll just make a list of pros and cons because I feel like that's the best way to do this. Pros: The service and staff are incredible. I got lost trying to find the restaurant, the person on the phone was incredibly kind and was able to direct me. All the staff were very kind to us, said hello and goodbye, our waitress was also SUPER nice. All in all a fantastic staff team. Another pro - the cocktails were amazing. I tried the fall version of their pumpkin spice moscow mule and it tasted like fall in a cup. My partner had the cosmo which was also fantastic. Cons: The food. Oh boy, I am actually appalled. My partner ordered the beef and it came out well done and dry as shoe leather (see photos). We realized no one had even asked how he wanted his steak done which...is pretty standard in any restaurant? And also, why was it so overcooked? We waited over an hour for our food too, so we decided to just suck it up and eat because we didn't want to wait any longer for a recook. I ordered the carbonara, which was good but the portion was very small. We also tried the pumpkin cake, and it came out half-frozen and covered in a very thick layer of orange cream that overpowered the rest of the dessert. The desserts are definitely shipped in, pre-frozen and not homemade. Overall it seems most of the positive reviews are for this restaurant's breakfast, so it seems that's what they do best. I don't know if I want to come back though. I did also notice that the owner is not responding very kindly to these negative reviews. I want to make it clear I'm not some competitor, I'm not someone out here just throwing negative reviews willy-nilly, I'm just being completely honest and I hope the owner takes this as a learning moment/constructive criticism, and not a personal attack.
