When it arrived at the table it was more overcooked than the first plate. It was inedible. My wife had the shrimp and grits which were also terrible. They were very soggy and tasted terrible. After my second plate of oysters was delivered to the table we never saw our waitress again. She did not even ask how the second plate was in comparison to the first plate. After 20 minutes with no service we got up and left. The manager gave me 10% off my order. It just added insult to injury. We will NEVER dine there again. And to tell me they could not sell me a cookie tonight because I had a water cup in my hand was just rude. We were literally 10 feet inside the front door at the cash register where the cookie display was located. Terrible Food. Terrible waitress. Terrible service and terrible management. If you want a really good meal then you must go to "The Gulf" restaurant just across the bridge from the Cobalt. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is ALWAYS amazing. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. At the Gulf they made an error on our order which was for a party of 10. Not only did they quickly correct the error but they also gave us and addition main dish for free. You will never get this type of service at the Cobalt.

The website claims that their menus are extensive. We found this not to be the case with the lunch menu. We ate our lunch on the patio and were joined by dozens of local birds. The oysters themselves were alright, the Gouda was crunchy instead of ooey gooey but the oyster itself was flavorful and well cooked. Not the place for my demographic the early day caters to retired locals and the nights by reputation implies high schoolers and college kids. I would try the Yacht Club part but would not return here.

The place is unique and fun. Theres many different levels and places to go inside so you definitely won't feel clostrop closer smothered. After waiting 5-10 minutes for said utensils, your food will be warm-ish. Even when utensils are present on first go around, somehow, the food is always lukewarm. I went with the red shrimp benedict…and I picked a winner! The server takes my menu and walks away, but like a cruel joke, comes back a few moments later and says they are out of the corn maque choux. I decided on the steak tips benedict, which was obviously not my first, second, third, or even 4th choice. The steak was seasoned well but dry and overcooked, the spinach watery and tasteless but the poached eggs were cooked perfectly! In conclusion, the menu leads you to have high expectations but it is poorly executed. Kudos to the servers who have to deal with disappointed guests, which seems to be daily. Funny thing though, I’d go again because I want it to be good! And I want that damn poutine!

This place was everything we were looking for. Everything from the location, service and the food was perfect. The hostess and our server were both adorable and attentive. The fish tacos were fresh and excellent. My daughter ordered the Cuban and it didn't disappoint. We highly recommend a relaxing lunch here away from the tourist traps where more thought was put into the food. We are planning on visiting this restaurant every time we go to Orange Beach.

Odd entrance . Almost walk thru the kitchen to get to the setting area . Definitely a chef driven menu . 10 items on the menu and I'm guessing they change based upon availability and seasonality. We went for drinks . My wife said the margarita wasn't great . The beer was cold though. We did order the OG brisket tots though . Definitely some great flavor in there . With around eight different food options on the menu they’ve perfected every choice. Menu changes periodically and their creative side does not end with the previous menu. Mostly outside seating right at the waterfront. Even though the views are great the food is actually the star. A lot of times when we go out to eat we will ask the staff what is good, and of course the answer is always “everything!”, of course that’s not really true with most of the restaurants but it is absolutely the case here, everything is good! Being a local you get to see an off day with some of the establishments, we have not witnessed it here yet, and don’t see that happening ever!
