By photo alone we knew we had to visit. was a Classic, fun, step back in time atmosphere as soon as you stepped inside. We were greeted and sat immediately, no wait. Lots of options on the menu that made it hard to decide what to order. My husband went w/ the chicken and waffles. Waffle had the perfect crisp on the outside, while being soft and pillowy in the inside making it a solid waffle. The chicken was out of this world! We both agreed it’s the best chicken we’ve had in a long time. The skin was fried golden brown and it was perfectly seasoned through out. I ordered the pulled pork Mac & cheese which was delicious. I had an amazing iteration of this dish a few yrs back and I’ve been chasing that flavor combo ever since and no place has ever come close. Palms nailed it! I could have used a bit more of the sauce to help balance the meat/sauce to macaroni & cheese ratio. But outside of that the noodles were done perfectly, cheese sauce was the perfect consistency and the pulled port was top notch. My husband and I ended up sharing both meals because we both loved them so much. I ended up leaving my leftovers in the hotel fridge and I was so upset. My only regret is not getting more chicken. 10/10 we both agreed we’d drive the 3.5 hrs back just to eat here again! The only note on service was our particular server was slow. She was friendly enough but it took 15 mins to get our check and then 10 mins after she took my card for her to come back. When she refilled our drinks they weren’t filled to the top and although she checked on us twice it was with other items in her hand and while she was mutlitasking. The other servers seemed to be a bit quicker and helped us with/ containers for our leftovers and answered a question we had on drinks from the bar. Overall the service was not bad, it just didn’t match the level of what the kitchen is putting out. Nothing that would discourage us from returning and we’ve told all the guests it’s a must try! Hoping to return one day because I cannot imagine never eating either of these meals again during my life.

The bar/diner is super cute and the decor took me back to the 1950’s. It is super clean and welcoming. Our waitress was awesome we told her we were on a time crunch to make the tour so she immediately put in our chicken order. It is freshly made and takes 15-20 minutes to cook, but oh so worth it! We both 4 piece meals that came with 4 huge meaty, tender and delicious pieces of chicken, a roll, choice of potatoes and coleslaw. I am a big eater but after 2 pieces of the most tender and delicious chicken of my life I was stuffed. Our waitress was delightful and efficient. She got us fed and out of there in plenty of time to make our tour. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Port Huron! Thanks for the great and service.

Easily this was the best fried chicken we've ever ate! Forget places like Frankenmuth... the Palms Krystal has the best chicken, the best food, great service & atmosphere! 10 out of 10 stars! They have spoke about customers to others customers during working hours starting confrontation between customers, which is extremely unprofessional, Iv heard and seen it! Their bouncers bully customers and I CAN and WILL give you the names of MANY customers who would be happy to tell you their side! This bar has completely went down hill since the owner fired her sister. Her sister was the BEST bartender EVER and she could sing like crazy! She was kind unlike most of the staff at this bar! The only good thing I can say about this place is the karaoke host is an awesome person! He has a cover band which you could follow! The rest of these people are not good. The dance floor is hoodrat, unfriendly, unkind, and not fun... Unless you're completely oblivious. The Active Bar has free pool and Karaoke nights, Outpost Bar has Karaoke nights and often times has a band, and Bell River has 6 free pool tables and Karaoke nights and pool tournament nights for a buy in. The bar tender and owner is extremely friendly. Free Parking just like EVERY other bar in the area. 🤷
