Very mainstream but good. SERVICE: Friendly and helpful gal was taking orders. Our takeout order took about 20 minutes as they were pumping even at 2 in the afternoon. It’s unassuming outside and the atmosphere brightens as soon as you walk in the door. We were wowed from start to finish. The food was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive. We were extremely lucky to get reservations last minute as they are usually booked weeks in advanced. From the moment we were seated to when we left it was nothing short of an amazing experience as well as what I would say the best sushi I have ever had. It was our first time trying chef’s choice “Omakase” and it is definitely the way to do it. The fish melts in your mouth and tastes extremely fresh. I'm so glad this was suggested to us at the beginning of our trip. It was so delicous we had to come back 3 times that week. The salmon was cooked perfect each time. The rice and potatoes had incredible flavor. The flavors on the shrimp quesadillas was amazing. The clam chowder was almost as good as my own. You cant go wrong with anything you order. Also the service was fast and amazing. I loved that you ordered and then it was casual seating for this delicous meal. We will be back and recommend this to everyone.

From the food to the views and service, everything was a 10/10 so good I had to come back a second time. To start, I highly recommend the DUO wedge salad great flavor and a perfect appetizer. The crispy Brussels sprouts and roasted mushrooms were also solid sides to share. On my first visit, I had the dry-aged bone-in ribeye (rare). Personally not my type of cut , it was mostly fat and pretty chewy, so not my favorite cut. The wagyu truffle burger was ok. But on my second visit… I had the Australian Wagyu and the Snake River Farms American Wagyu Flat Iron, and both were incredible tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend those if you’re going for steak. Also the Roasted Shallot Jus is a must sauce for the steak. For sides, the garlic truffle fries provably my favorite thing crispy, rich, and great with the steaks. As for dessert, the soufflé cheesecake was my favorite light, fluffy, and just sweet enough. I also tried the Chocolate Macadamia Torte, which was good too, though a bit too chocolatey (if you’re not into rich chocolate, maybe go for something lighter). Overall, DUO is a must-visit if you’re staying in Wailea or nearby. Great food and amazing Four Seasons service. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip.

Nestled inside of a shopping square you’ll find, and I say confidently, the best poke of your like. Went for the traditional poke bowl and wow, was too much food to handle but it was a dish where you could not leave any of it behind. Long lines started to form after our arrival but they’re quick with service and very friendly. As we socialized with other customers they were also recommended by locals of this fantastic spot. Some customers had genius ideas and pairing their bowls with drinks and cocktails from one of the restaurants inside. No matter where you are on the island, it’s a drive you should make.

When we arrived for dinner they told us that they only had 20 servings left for the day. We felt lucky to have gotten there when we did. They grill the fish right there on the side of the food truck when you order it. I'm not a tartar sauce fan but theirs is spectacular. They do have some kids-friendly options like a hot dog so that you're not having to spend money on high quality fish that your kids might not like. The environment around the food truck is eclectic to say the least. There are several small vendors and establishments in the surrounding building, a bar, and no lack of character. This place is definitely a hidden gem. We had the ahi as you can see in the picture and also poke. The poke was the best my wife has ever had anywhere. The ahi was cooked perfectly and tasted like it had just come out of the ocean. These guys have got it figured out! They do use peanut oil but they have a warning right on the window that suggests you talk to them about allergies.

Our idea was to quickly pick up some dinner and make it to Kalama park to watch the sunset. We enjoyed Paul's excitement as he made suggestions for us to eat, convincing us to get the Ahi tacos (Unagi sauce on side), Poke Bowl (both flavors), and a large Smoked Ahi Mac with Unagi sauce (added by suggestion)! The Rice and Coconut Slaw were amazingly supportive sides with what we learned was bigeye Ahi caught nearby. We melted over the taste of each item as we soaked in the best Maui sunset of the week. All of the specialty rolls we tried were incredible. The TNT roll had so much poke on top it was falling off. It is difficult to tell you if the 007 or the Local was our favorite because we enjoyed both so much. The baked Rockin roll was our least favorite, although the scallop on top was excellent. The only thing I wouldn't get again is their miso soup as the tofu was incredibly bland as if they diced it up and tossed it in at the end instead of cooking it in the broth. I've driven by it so many times I feel bad I hadn't tried it sooner. So good! This place is a true street taco place. Run down tables in a parking lot. Place wasnt super packed but did take 10 minutes to get our first order. I'm alright with waiting but if you go there starving your mouth will water. They had a sauce I dont k how what it is but it's in a big squeeze bottle and it was tasty. Out of all the tacos I liked the chicken and El Pastor the best. The chicken meat was high quality and of all the tacos it was the most packed, definitely a steal for 2 for $5. I plan on going back and giving their quesadillas a try, and slowly go down the board until I've tried everything. It's worth a stop and eat, so glad I finally went here as I ride by it so much. Quick cheap meal! A steal for the price especially here on Maui. I would recommend this for anyone craving tacos.

A sole dipping sauce came with, which was a really dill-y yet tasty tartar sauce. The chips, according to others' photos were supposed to be curly fries but, the mountain of spuds that I received were mostly stripped of their skins, leaving thin, soggy strings of potatoes that resembled udon noodles. A few pieces of potato missed the cutter and came sliced scalloped-style. I can forgive the oily fish as this is a deep-fried dish but the mess of chips killed it. SERVICE: Counter service was friendly and professional. I was quoted a 30 minute wait time and they were very accurate as I waited about 25 minutes due to their busyness. OVERALL: Very good fish. We walked in and were sat immediately, they offered specials and gave us the menu. We ordered a short time later and the food came out lightning fast. The wine is served on ice, a bit sweet but was balanced out nicely with a bit of saltiness if you will and wasn't strong in the alcohol department. FOOD: Shoyu Ramen Other reviews on this dish weren't spectacular, but everyone has a different palate, so I had to try it for myself. Their version has a lot of potential but fell short in a few areas. First off, the portion was a bit small for the price. Secondly and worst of all, the delicate broth was lukewarm. Ugh! Why can't people understand that a hot broth combined with room temperature noodles makes for a lukewarm bowl?! There were positives though, such as the fresh-tasting bamboo shoots, the super tender chashu and the perfectly cooked noodles. Some might say the broth has no flavor but in this case it allowed for the eggy flavor of the noodles to stand out, IMO. I've had a similar light broth at Momofuku in Washington D.C. but theirs was worlds better as it was served piping hot. Salmon Skin Salad My friend's dish. She enjoyed it for the most part but did state that there was an overload of onions. SERVICE: The place was dead so we were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly, professional and checked on us often. Thank you's and mannerisms were bountiful in that Japanese culture sort of way. OVERALL: Extensive sushi menu, great service, mediocre ramen due to temperature.
