We ordered Sushi boat, dynamite prawns, Salmon, live beef and prawns Teppanyaki and Wagyu strak. We reserved the live cooking table. It's private and secluded, only downside is that you are sitting around the live cooking kitchen which makes you a bit far from your colleagues and makes the conversation a bit difficult. The decor and atmosphere and elevated, chic but relaxing, and the food was pretty good. Having fresh sushi in Lahore in summer months is a luxury, and the prices compared to other restaurants reflects that, but it was still worth it. Some of the food was not quite authentically what it should be but it was still very tasty especially the shrimp dumplings. The one drawback was the service. It was really slow. We had to ask for the waiter to bring our drinks as he appeared to be waiting until the food was served, which maybe is a local custom, but seemed strange to me. Our appetizers took 45 minutes and entrees came almost at the same time. I still definitely recommend the restaurant if you're in Lahore, but come ready to wait a few minutes to eat.

We expressed our gratitude to the waiter because thus far everything was delicious and the presentation was impressive. We had a disappointed visit about 6 months ago but decided to give Gai'a another chance because we know unexpected things can happen. After showing our gratitude this visit with the delicious food we had just eaten, to our surprise our steak dinner was a deceitful one. My wife loves ribeye steak and eats it often and upon receiving it she noticed it wasn't a ribeye at all. The cut of steak they gave us was a cheaper cut. We weren't sure whether or not it was intentional but the waiter admitted the steak was wrong but instead of canceling it at our request he had another one made basically forcing us to buy a meal we were upset with. He didn't show remorse or shame but instead gave an attitude and became cold. The right action should have been to either cancel it at our intial request but because he had already made it without asking us it should have been free of charge. The re made steak was also a very small size and I wouldn't recommend getting it. When ordering our food the waiter deterred us from ordering a couple items which led us to assume it wasn't available or to profit from higher sales. Luckily my wife and I eat at many different places and were able to spot the problem. It's upsetting to think how many people are getting scammed with paying more for these steaks because they don't know better. The food was good but we're a little hesitant on going again because of this issue. We hope that in the future Gai'a can train it's employees to be more careful so that it's customers aren't being scammed by these prices. Loyalty matters.

Dobin Mushi soup is a full fledged seafood soup and I being a seafood lover enjoyed it thoroughly. Kamikazi maki was superb. It cannot be more better than this. We had choices between chicken, beef and salmon teriyaki, and we choose chicken one. It was served with jasmine rice and tasted excellent.
