We infact asked " When do you close" Told 9pm but the lady removed the open signage and turned off the open light at 8.30pm.
Seemed to be some deal going on a man arrived messed around in his car then bought in a retail pack of prawns from one of the local supermarkets and dissappeared into the kitch then emerged some time later. Walked out and drove off?
The staff were very nice but doubt they had work visas more likely student visa.

About time I left a review for this place. I don't normally leave reviews but I've been a regular here for about 5 years now and each experience has been top notch.
The food is some of the best Chinese I've had. The flavour, the overall quality of each dish and the consistency are why nothing else in town comes close. Each generously portioned dish comes out searing hot, and well presented. The service makes it clear how valuable your business is to them.
The place is small, but clean and comfortable. Almost hidden away compared to some others.
In 5 years I haven't had a single poor experience apart from a longer wait on a Friday night.
Try the Crispy Beef with Szechuan sauce, Garlic Chicken or the Mongolian lamb. I'm still working my way through their menu. The Fried Rice is perfect here also. I will add pictures next time I dine.

However after two take away orders on the road, only learned that if you ordered in Chinese via the menu in Chinese, you had to pay more for the same dish than those ordered in English! This is one of a few Chinese restaurants in this small country.The waitress and the waiter were very friendly and approachable!
The conbination food on the top of soup were super tasty.However,I disliked the rice noodle,it was tasted so hard.Considering it as it is in a regional area,not many resources are able to deliver here.

Entrees were good, sexy prawns and curry puff. My main salmon in green curry was great however the roti were oily and not cooked, peanut sauce was served cold and I had to ask it to be warmed up. Served us raw chicken ~ they gave us a refund, but only after berating us for opening each piece to check if they were all raw. I don’t really understand why this is a problem unless they were intending on serving it to someone else? They stomped away from the table exclaiming ‘it’s not your money! It’s not your money!’. Got take away from here and was very disappointed. The fried rice had spam in it, and the chicken, both my wife and I couldn’t identify, but sure wasn't chicken. Now before the restaurant says we don't know what we're talking about, my wife's family are chinese and own renowned restaurant's in Sydney and Brisbane, so we know what we are talking about. So over all was not a pleasant experience. Luckily we are only passing through Armidale. Definitely won't be back.
After getting home we worked out the "chicken" was actually canned chicken.

If you dont have gresh food available, you have to let the costumer know!
I went in for a takeaway lunch and the chef was not in the shop. All I could hear from the kitchen was constant turn off/ on of a microwave. No sound of cooking, chopping…
The food came out hot, but was sooo obvious that its not fresh. The chicken was tough as hell as it was clear that it had been prepared ages ago and warmed up. We couldn’t eat the food and it went to the garage!
I would usally not pay too much attention to the looks and the hygine of this restaurant. Although it dones not look clean, I would like the food. But this time it was terrible and will not be going back unfortunately!

The shop is small and this means it is somewhat awkward when buying "take away", a constant feeling of being "in the way", but that's probably a good reason to eat in instead and it does provide a cosy feel.

I was contemplating to even enter the shop thinking the food may not taste good but I was absolutely wrong as the meals were really good. We ordered seafood hot pot and green curry chicken, trust me, I was blown away. Tye chef is a Chinese but he cooks Thai food without compromising its authenticity. Loved the spices and definitely the services. The waiters were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. A must go. Please try their signature fish tofu. Jungle curry which is basically chicken in boiled water. I have been living for 25 years and I have never seen a curry can be that watery, it was leaking inside the plastic bag!

What a wonderful find in Armidale. If Authentic Nepalese food is your passion and delight then you will not be disappointed with the menu options and friendly service. The Chef obviously cooks from the heart, and was delighted to know we appreciated such a delicious meal, and I mean delicious!! The wait staff were equally welcoming and friendly, offering helpful suggestions, including a delightful chilli sauce (go easy)to go with the smashed spicy potatoes. Sadly they declined my suggestion to move their business to Brisbane so we could visit more often, as there is nothing in Brisbane to compare with this Nepalese cuisine!

Me with my friend visited this restaurant on our way to Coffs Harbour from Gunnedah. We were craving for the Nepalese cuisine. So we stopped by. The food we received was so delicious and so authentic. We made a plan to stop by again the next day while coming back from Coffs Harbour and had daal bhat set. Stayed overnight in Armidale and had dinner at Luniva Mo Mo Cafe Restaurant. We ordered Vegetarian Samosas which was really good. We also ordered the Jhol MoMo, which are Mo Mo dumplings in a curry soup. Not a fan. For Mains we had Chicken Chowmein off the specials board, which is a Nepalese noodle stir fry and Beef Luniva set. Was an enjoyable meal but we have had Nepalese food which we preferred.
