Once again the menu was a creative fusion of South Asian flavours with ingredients around the world. We had the lunch menu and I thought five of our six dishes were fantastic, and the fifth one was just fine. My favourite was the smoked scallops and mango . My wife wanted a chai with the dessert – although it was not on the menu, they made it for us anyways and it was excellent. FYI while this is a very high-end restaurant the lunch menu is relatively affordable for this Michelin star tasting experience. The bright cheerful dining room is also quite a nice place for a lunch. Started with some oysters and let me tell you, they were one of the best oysters I've ever had! So fresh and sweet, we finished half a dozen within 5 minutes. Everything I had was good quality and tasted fine, although some dishes worked better than others. The meal started on a high note with some complimentary Rasam served in small cups. The Fish Cutlets were tasty but had a strong fishy aroma, perhaps from the type of fish used? The Lamb Cutlets were better in terms of taste and aroma and I preferred it over the fish. Stir Fried Four Angle Beans were on the Daily Specials and this was very good too. I found the Fish Sothy to be a little too thick with coconut cream for my liking. It was also lacking some spiciness from green chilies which are usually added. The Drumstick Curry was similarly a little too thick with coconut cream but had a nice sourness. Both would pair nicely with string hoppers. The Signature Mutton Paal Poriyal was a dry preparation, but I felt it was somewhat mild compared to the spicy and fiery versions in Sri Lanka. Both the Vegetarian and Chicken Kothu were decent with the choice of String Hoppers. Personally I prefer the Kothu with Roti instead. The chef is very true to napoleon style as the food brought back a lot of memories of my Naples vacation for me. The ingredients were imported from Italy. All the pizzas and pasta were spot on for me. We had a party of 5 and they were able to curate a set dinner for us which included a bottle of wine. My top 3 favourites were the pork sausage pasta with tomato base and black olives, the margarita pizza and the fried milk dessert which I could not name. The service was very friendly and warm. Overall a place that I definitely will go again when I visit KL next time. The restaurant is inside the colonial house so it gives a nice ambience. Parking lots next to the restaurant.
