The Baklawa with pistachios and with nuts, fried Katayef with walnuts and with qachtah, Barazeh, ice cream, freshly made unsweetened juices especially the pomegranate juice, Turkish coffee prepared for each order and last but not least the shredded halawat jiben.
My least favorite is:
The kinefeh which I prefer and highly recommend to eat it at Lebon sweet. Because Shatila doe not keep it hot and reheat it in microwave. I will not eat a reheated Kinefeh in a microwave. Then The flavor and quality decrease drastically.

Shatila is full of life. The moment you walk in, you feel like you’re somewhere special. It’s busy, loud, and packed with people trying to get their hands on some sweets. There’s a ticket machine to take a number, but no one really waits for their number to be called. Everyone just kind of crowds the counter and hopes to get noticed. It feels a little chaotic, but somehow the staff keeps everything moving and you get helped pretty quickly.
I picked up a half-pound mixed box to take back to Dallas. they did pack the box very well when I told them that I will be taking it home. Some of the desserts come with syrup... I wish they had packets instead of containers that would be easier to take on the plane. Shatila wasn’t cheap, but the quality is honestly incredible. Every piece feels fresh, rich, and made with care. You can tell they don’t cut corners with ingredients.
While I was there, I saw a lot of people ordering this pistachio sweet cream dessery, so I grabbed one to try. It was excellent. Light and creamy with that perfect pistachio flavor. Definitely something I’d get again.
The whole place has this energetic but welcoming vibe. It might feel a little overwhelming at first with how busy it gets, but once you taste the sweets, it all makes sense. Shatila really lives up to its reputation.

Been to Shatila Bakery four times now they have a good variety of Arabic/ middle eastern sweets, ice cream and some hot breakfast items too. We came early this time about 7-7:30am best time no crowd! and the best part no parking lot shenanigans either!
I had their kunafa it was okay kinda luck warm it's supposed to be hot...even the pastries were kinda stale the only thing that was done right was the zaatar pie that was good. There bathrooms are super disgusting!! so weird doesn't make sense because the restaurant is spotless. Service is super shady most times!...you gotta be on point or you'll get past over and cut in front of!

I visited Shatila Bakery based on strong recommendations and even went out of my way to try their baklava—but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype for me. The baklava was just average and not as flavorful or rich as I expected. Most items are sold by the piece ($1.50–$2.50) or by the pound, and I found the pricing a bit steep, especially for what you get.

We came for lunch and it was hard to choose what to order because everything looked so good!
I asked one of the employees what his favorite was and he gave my husband and me two of his favorite cheese bread to sample. It was delicious and sooo good!! So nice of him!
We ordered an assortment of bread items with meat and spinach and cheese and a beef wrap.
There is a big seating area to eat in and bathrooms as well.
The cheese bread was my favorite and the beef wrap! Sooo good and amazing flavors!!
Everything tasted so authentic! I know because of food my middle eastern friends have made me.

Absolutely amazing food and down to earth place. Extremely busy . I went there 15 years ago in my first visit and than recently when I was in Dearborn. The Lebanese food is 100 percent authentic and I love sooo much the mlukhia that was only done on Friday and it happened that I took the last dish!

This is a pretty huge bakery with tons of sweets and other food items. prices are really cheap. They have differnt kinds of breads , pastries , cakes , middle eastern desserts like kinnafa , baklava etc,.
Their Falafels are huge which makes you want to buy them.They have one of the best falafel sandwiches in the area. I would say much closer to the authentic ones.
Chicken shwarma sandwich is just alright . Again same issue where there is lot of meat but less sauce leading to a dry sandwich.
We also tried a lot of tiny vegetarian pasties but they were all kinda same with different filling.
I would definitely recommend getting the falafel sandwich here.

My husband and I recently visited Dearborn with my friend who recommended lunch here. The menu of delicious choices was endless. You can get combination plates or choose to go a la carte. We had chicken schwarma, mujaddara, a spinach stuffed bun, and rice which was so good were so good. We finished our meal by purchasing a collection of pastries (because who could choose just a few 😁). Lots of great food served deli style. This isn't the best shawarma but it is maybe the best zatar bread around.

Bartz has been a family favorite for over 30 years. Recently stopped in to order a birthday cake (marble). It had good balance of batter and frosting - tasty! Left with a bunch of sweets, too! Great place and large variety of baked goods.
Update: stopped in 8/19/20. Good cupcakes! The German Chocolate was very moist and decent chocolate flavor.
I also picked up a lemon bar and carrot cake square. The lemon square was not very good - it lacked...strong lemon flavor and wasn't sweet. More flavor of cornstarch/flour. But the carrot cake was out of sight! It was evident that most of the tray was already gone when I got there....shows that it's a winner! Very moist and full of flavor! Will get that again!

I literally found full seeds on top of my dessert! I have allergies they should be glad I didn’t sue them! What a cute little hidden gem I have not tried the miso salted caramel cookie yet because I’m waiting for my sister to try it with me, but how creative! The spinach and cheese croissant needed more flavor to it, but the outside croissant breading was amazing, flaky, and good. The staff was super nice. This adorable patisserie was walking distance from our hotel and offered a sweet treat in a quaint atmosphere. we tried the Chocolate mousse tart with mirror glaze and a flight of 6 macarons. My husband was amazed at how smooth the chocolate mousse was. The tart was rich and the perfect size for sharing. We took the macarons away with us and later tried the rosewater and the pistachio. They were both delicious, and I was delighted that the rosewater was not overpowering as many times or can be. Open to midnight, this is a great place for a lovely treat in Dearborn.

From start to finish, doing our wedding cake here was an amazing process. We wanted a hybrid of real and fake where the entire bottom layer was real, decorated in a vintage style, and actually tasting good vs. just looking good. It was a complicated order, and it came out perfect.

I purchased scones, jam and clotted cream for a baby shower tea. I was a bit hesitant when I found out that the scones would be frozen when I picked them up, but they were wonderful! They tasted like they were just taken out of the oven. We defrosted them in the bags the night before and they were a hit. Came in middle afternoon and they were out of a few types of donuts I would have loved to try. But that being said, they still had a lot of choices available. I ended up getting a dozen donuts (my kids picked some of their faves). I will say, not the best donuts I’ve ever had, but they weren’t terrible. They were all a bit on the dry side. Do I need to drive 40 minutes to come back? Probably not, but if it was right around the corner, I’d probably be back. The guy who helped us was super nice and friendly. I don't like when this happens to me, looking forward to something yummy and it's not as yummy as I expected. This was my second visit to this donut shop. And as we drove up to DonutVille I recognized it from 5 years ago and in my memory I remembered these donuts were pretty good. Today I got two apple fritters and a variety of a dozen donuts. Apple fritter had great flavor and lots of apple filling but the donuts were bad. The yeast donuts were dry, no fluffy yummy dough. Filling in one of the donuts tasted old. I haven't tried the cake donuts yet.... hoping they might be alright.

The vanilla buttercream donut with chocolate icing was the best! So fluffy and full of flavor. You could tell it was fresh. I was surprised by this because I went on a weekday around 7 PM. I don’t usually write reviews, but Mariam honestly deserves one. Every time I walk into the shop, she’s the first person to smile and actually make you feel welcome. She doesn’t just take your order she pays attention, makes recommendations, and somehow remembers what people like.
The donuts are always good, but Mariam makes the whole experience better. She works fast, keeps the line moving, and still stays super patient even when it gets busy. You can tell she actually cares about her job and the customers.

First, I love this place (and I was a GM of Dunkin'!). Donuts actually made in-house, multiple batches a day... can't beat that. However, I was let down due to there being no milk available for my son. They were also out of a few kinds of donuts but that's to be expected; they're awesome and I arrived well after the last batch had been brought out. Iverson's cake and cherry cheesecake were phenomenal! The staff was the best. Friendly, well-spoken, caring, helpful. Very clean inside.
The cherry cheesecake was not too thick. I am happy about that. If cheesecake is too tall, it can be rich and overwhelming. Not too rich or nor a failure on taste. Cherries were delicious. Soft texture, light buttercream piped around the ages.
The cake was delicious and the cupcakes too. The cake was fresh tasting that I purchased in the showcase. I love the white chocolate drizzle over the top of the cake. The fruit center was also airy, fluffy texture, and not too sweet. The frosting on the cupcakes was divine. Each different flavor was well worth the trip. Cakes were all soft and fresh. I really do like the frosting. It is light buttercream. Not too sweet. I had a cannoli, and even that was fresh and delicious. I can not wait to get more stuff from here in the upcoming months.
Parking in the front can be a little squirrelly due to parking next to curb on Outer Drive. There may be parking in the back, but I can not say for sure. In the front, when you try to park, be patient. They try to get their customers in and out so it isn't too hard to find parking but some days it is full and some days it is empty.
Do not second guess your trip to come. Just go. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Iverson's!

Rhonda was AMAZING to work with at Iversens Bakery! She helped create our perfect wedding cake that was absolutely delicious, our wedding was over a month ago and we are still getting compliments about the cake. While planning our wedding, my husband and I met with several bakeries in the area which were all good but Iversens was the clear choice and we are so happy with our decision. Not only did it taste great but the design was better than what I could have imagined. The baby shower cake we ordered was amazing. They did a great job with decorating it, my sister loved it! It was half vanilla and half chocolate, with Bavarian cream filling...so good! Not too sweet or rich, everyone commented on how good the cake was. Unfortunately the cake cracked at some point from transporting it from the bakery to the event, but it was not very noticeable and did not alter the look or taste of the cake. Price was very reasonable compared to other cakes I've purchased from various independent bakers in the area. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

Great experience using Iversens for both my bridal shower and wedding. We received so many compliments from our friends and family on the taste and even compliments from staff at The Whitney in Detroit and Lovett Hall at Henry Ford. The staff at the Whitney said how often they get dry cakes but were so impressed the ease of cutting and serving the cakes. They had to know our bakery choice because they have added them to their list of recommendations. Considering how many events occur at these venues should tell you enough about the quality of the cakes made.

When I tell you right out the oven fresh cheese pie can't get no better then that! The food is delicious! I say real deal because it reminded me of Lebanon when I visited. When i got home, i discovered mold all over them. Took them back to the store 3 days later (i live 45 minutes from there) the next time i was in the area to report it. The lady at the customer service desk refused to take it back, stating that it was not on the receipt, and 3 days is too long. They also double charged me, charging me for two when I only got 1. I got my wedding cake from here. The design and taste were amazing and exactly what I wanted, but my experience was ruined with the customer service. First off, trying to make the consultation was a hassle, they had to reschedule twice. On the wedding day, they forgot to put the cake topper on the cake! My mom called the bakery as the wedding started, they were confused at first, put her on hold for 15 minutes, then proceeded to tell her they can’t bring it. Someone from my family ended driving an hour back and forth to get it, just for it to fall off because it wasn’t put on and secured right by the bakery. A coworker brought one in to work to try and it was so delicious. I knew I had to stop in so the hubby could try. I arrived a few minutes after 8. So I had a variety to pick from. I would also recommend the bakllava fingers specially when they are fresh and hot. I don't know about the other products there but I assume they should be decent at least.
Parking is not a problem and the store closes around 11 p.m. Which gives plenty of time to shop if you have a busy schedule.

Today I visited Capri Italian bakery, and I got the best feeling from them. It took me back home to where my mom is from in Newberry, South Carolina. Really good and fresh cinnabon rolls! I've craved cinnabon since I was really young and have tried it in different states/locations, and I felt like this location offered THE freshest cinnabon rolls and some of the best I've had! I've been there a few times and tried their auntie anne's pretzels too which are also freshly made. The employees and owner are very courteous and nice, and the service is very convenient. There are also places to sit and eat inside the store which are cleanly maintained and hand sanitizer is available. The location is good too and strong hours of operation!

The interactions with the women working at this location felt awkward and unwelcoming but then they let me select my cinnamon rolls and freshly made our pretzels with SO MUCH CARE.
