I do think I may have come on a bad day because there was a wedding of some sort and people everywhere, which made it a little difficult to navigate. There also seemed to be a bit of renovations happening so I got a little lost. But once I found my way to the exhibits, I had a lot of fun. There was a lot to look at and some really incredible displays. Despite it being a weekend, it was pretty quiet, which was probably a lucky break. It made the experience a lot more relaxing. I was a tad disappointed with the planetarium show. I’m not sure if they do a kids and adult version, but the show I saw was definitely catered to children and was actually more about the ocean than space. As an astronomy enthusiast I was hoping to see stars. Overall, I’m very glad I went, and can see why it was recommended by so many people. I would love to go back once the renovations are done and there isn’t such chaos with the very large wedding party.

The planetarium show just started so we missed the one for the planets and stars. The overall experience was great. Clean interactive. Just not very appealing going through the front entrance. We got to see Nonsuch during this visit, the kids enjoyed it. We definitely need more time as we didn't get to roam the Winnipeg section. The scavenger hunt made it interesting for the kids. We just didn't know where to drop off the completed form since it was closing time and they closed the customer service area to prepare for a wedding event. They were incredibly organized, helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our set-up easy on both days. The venue is absolutely incredible- as a backdrop to any event I feel guests would be blown away! They even had extremely friendly volunteers who are not only super friendly but incredibly knowledgeable. If they saw a guest looking at a plane they would approach asking if they wanted more information often sharing some amazing stories. There are so many areas available to set-up different stations allowing for a super unique and almost romantic atmosphere. I can not recommend having your event here- big or small they know how to do it!!

The indigenous collection is just fantastic and I love the works that they presented. The permanent collection is small but very very interesting. Parking is limited but you can find some spots on the street. Dropping by on a Thursday afternoon felt like a private visit. The location of rhe event and the space were more than sufficient for what it was needed for. Washroom was clean and easily accessible. The only reason I gave it this low of a rating is because they had a wedding event going on as well, and we were asked to leave by the side or back entrance. 😳 Seriously!?! So when you walk in the front entrance, you end up walking through the back of the seating area designated for the wedding guests and party. I felt like I was crashing a wedding. Not how I would want my wedding day to be remembered by. Surely there has to be a better way so that both events are able to be kept separate from each other, as to avoid disruption of a speech or special dance, which both events had. They practice controlled burns to help mimic natural cycles, and everything they do here is with maintaining and preserving the land. Definitely an underrated and underappreciated spot in Winnipeg.

Very romantic park setting and scenic along the Red River. In the summer, we took the guided boat tour which is inexpensive and about 90 minutes long. You'll see numerous musical shows on weekends. Temperatures that summer in July were about 82 degrees Fahrenheit. In the winter in November and March when it was 14 degrees (which is considered balmy here), the area which usually has events becomes an ice-skating rink and there's a small makeshift hockey rink across from it. The Forks Market was a pleasant surprise. Every lunch and dinner location we tried was delicious and fairly priced. The BEST croissants I've ever tasted are at the Tall Grass Prairie Bakery. Don't let the long line scare you as you'll be served within minutes. In my most recent stay, I was at the Inn at the Forks. It's very pricey, but worth it to get a great scenic view in the morning and is in the heart of the park. It's only a 15-20 minute walk to downtown Winnipeg. On a negative note, on my last night in 2020, I took some souvenir photos at midnight along the scenic river and was followed all the way back to the hotel by a meth addict who thought I was taking photos of him and yelling at me. I had to kick the guy out of the hotel as no one from the front desk wanted to get involved or call police. Sadly, there were some high profile events in 2022 of folks being beaten, stabbed and robbed in the Forks...and this occurred in daylight. I hope they will add cameras in the park that were lacking when I was last there. Because of the growing drug and crime issue in the area, I was going to give it a 4 star review instead of a 5. Hopefully, law enforcement will beef up their presence here because it really is a BEAUTIFUL place to be, regarding of the season. I hope the Forks will give you the same enjoyment and positive memories that it gave me and will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart!

The building was very nice and had extremely good accessibility for somebody with a disability. However, once into the escape room itself it turns out that there are puzzles that require full body activity and quick movement which left me entirely unable to participate. Having to sit back on the sidelines and watch the rest of my group have fun was definitely not an enjoyable experience. It would be a fantastic addition to the website to have information if a room requires "active" puzzles. Apart from that, the staff were super friendly, helpful, and understanding. She’s a medium from New York City. We had been to one of her shows here in Winnipeg before at this casino. It’s a great venue because it’s smaller so it works very well for her group readings etc. She’s able to move around the theatre easily and gets to everyone in the audience without any trouble. Her show is really good and very intense and emotional at times. I was sceptical at first but prayed for an open mind and I was blown away. I actually think I was balling for half the show. I swear she was in contact with my daughter but I didn’t want to say anything… Highly recommend that you watch her if you have any loved ones you want to contact or are just curious. This casino is the better one of the two right in Winnipeg. They have updated it through out the years and I really like what the last designer did with the space. It’s now got a classy feel to it and the high ceiling at the entrance give it a Grand feeling. The lights on the outside of the building are a nice touch. I also like the wolf sculpture outside. There are no pets allowed if you stay at the hotel. We really enjoy staying there when we are in town because we also like to gamble. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The staff at this casino have always been friendly to natives. They have a playmaker’s lounge that has a nice little bar where you can chill to get away from the busy crowds for a bit and grab a bite to eat. They also have great drink specials in you like to have a cocktail and relax. Don’t wear a suit because this casino is pretty chill. Unless it’s for a show or concert this is not a place trendy people go. Enjoy your stay here and make the slots treat you well!

It almost set the tone for the rest of the people and the evening. Undecided about whether we want to go back as we just did not enjoy ourselves at all.
