My neighbors were great so it worked out fine. If your neighbors aren't so great you may not enjoy yourself but that's the luck of the draw. The campground is well maintained, the bathrooms and showers were super clean and showers are free. The beach on the bay was very nice and relaxing, the bay water was clean. Just a heads up, quite hours are from 11pm to 8am, everyone is having a good time all the way up to 11 so if your early to bed you may have a hard time getting and staying asleep. We were put into RV pull through site 3001. If you get this site, ask for half off because it is half the size of the next smallest equivalent site. We have a 24ft RV, 30ft total with hitch. Our slide out is up against the utility box giving us only 4ft of space to the bushes next to the site. There is a picnic table, but it only fits right next to the road and not under the awning. Located right here in practically suburbia’s backyard yet teaming with wildlife, plants, and options to hike, jog, bike, camp, and feel like you are away without the hassle/trek to no where. The Park Rangers are super friendly. I guess I never took the time to explore what literally next door. There are brick and mortar bathrooms, cement tables, I saw lots of families just camping out of their vehicles, even more tents. No cabins. It was interesting because there are some professionals changing to go for a run mixed with people training to rough it. Signs everywhere explaining plant, wildlife, and trail markers. A great, quick getaway especially for beginners.

And if you’re unlucky enough to get one of the spots directly next to the freeway, you will be lulled to sleep by Peterbuilt and International alike. But either way, the freeway noise can be heard from any space in the park so be prepared. Of the two trailer parks off of East Main here in El Cajon, Circle RV is FAR superior. Even if they are owned by the same company.

We had I believe one of the top 10 spots at these grounds. Our site allowed us to walk right up to tower 16 and woke up looking at tower 16 from my tent. Restrooms are kept up and cleaned daily. My children's feet were cut up pretty bad from all the hard stone and reefs in the shallows during higher tides. Also ant repellent. Lotta ants! Many of the RV and trailer campers I noticed used the ant chalk to detour them from climbing onto their campers, great idea. Also if tent camping our location the ground was extremely hard and have sturdy stakes that still were difficult to hammer down, so don't bring those cheap stakes, you might as well not even stake the tent if you do so. Our fire ring could have been cleaned out more but not a big issue.

During the morning it’s fine, but in the afternoon when the wind picks up, it just go straight mush. It’s a good reef break at high tide. We rented gazebo 2 and had an electrical outlet that we could plug our bouncehouse into, space was huge with lots of tables , area was clean, grill was more than big enough to accommodate our group (think 4x the size of a grill you’d probably see at a beach/park) and customer service was very accommodating. Bathrooms are the typical outdoor park bathroom but were clean. Office admin was very accommodating although sometimes difficult to get a hold of via phone to answer questions. I was apprehensive since there are a lot of rules in the agreement but everything went fine without any issue. Overall turned out great and I look forward to recommending this place for future events .

Gorgeous views of the Admiral Baker golf course which is fenced off from the rec area and the pool. I do not know prices for RV spots. No other camping available and no hotel. There is a guard shack and patrols but I think people can come and go all night just don't forget to carry your ID card.
