Phra Chedi Klang Nam, also known as Samut Chedi, is a striking white stupa located in Rayong Province, just 2 kilometers outside of Rayong City. Situated in the middle of the mouth of the Rayong River, this magnificent temple offers insights into Thailand's Buddhist culture.
A very quiet spot to enjoy nature — so peaceful, with fewer people around. There are small local shops selling drinks and snacks. Some people come here to exercise, while others enjoy sightseeing. You can take long walks and stop at pavilions to rest along the way. It’s a nice place to relax and listen to the birds singing. Restrooms and parking are available, and the entrance is free. 27/08/2025

I walk down the river to view regularly then walk around the Mangrove forest looking for the Blue birds. Lucky if you see they are very shy of Farang
Teacher W — Google review
It is a small shrine by a river. The day we went there was a boat race so made it interesting. Bathrooms very clean. Did not have much time to walk the mangrove boardwalk.

Phra Chedi Klang Nam, also known as the Floating Pagoda, is a prominent landmark in Rayong, Thailand. It is a unique structure built on a small island in the middle of the Mae Nam (river) Rayong. The pagoda appears to "float" when the river's water level rises during the rainy season. It's a popular attraction for both locals and tourists due to its picturesque setting and cultural significance. It was a good visit to the pagoda , especially the nearby bridge walk where you will see a lot of mangrove trees surrounded by the Pagoda. If you reach there early morning or evening , you will really enjoy the walk , else at day time it was really hot. Don't forget to take water and a hat at day time.
Pamela W — Google review
You can walk on the long wooden bridge and also can do a boat tour with 500B for half an hour until to the end of the river. Along the river, enjoy mangrove forest and beautiful birds.
Khin H — Google review
Nice place to relax. You can now also walk over footbridges along the river and the mangroves. With a bit of luck, you can also spot a few monitor lizards. It is a very beautiful place and exciting at the same time to experience the exotic animal world.
Michael ( — Google review
Nice long path way to stroll around. When I visited here, the water level was low and could see the bottom of the soil. There are may trees that give visitors some shade while walking. Nothing much beside walking along the trail. Wear sneakers than sandals as the gap between wooden pave making me trip so often🤣

Fatatastic place. Good place for walking trail, running, see nature. fresh breeze. Hot during the day. Recommended in the moring or in the evening

Yomjinda Rd is a picturesque old town street in Rayong, Thailand, featuring traditional wooden houses, street food stalls, and charming cafes. The road runs parallel to the river and has been restored to showcase teak buildings with significant Chinese influence. Visitors can start their exploration at the King Taksin Shrine and continue on to see the City Pillar and Wat Pa Pradu. This historic area was once the main commercial community of Rayong, housing banks, cinemas, and markets.
Experience how world changed and grew. Visible reminiscent of the past …

Cute old town area with murals, street art. Lots of lovely cafés and lunch spots. Homemade crafts to buy.
Faith — Google review
You don't have to go there specifically, as most stores are closed and there are few people.

The old community with a history, as it was the former Rayong main road, where there are several old wooden houses, almost 100 years old. This place used to be the main cimmercial community and the location of banks, cinemas, markets, until the country changed. Currently, this tourist attraction in cultural conservation It is an old street in Rayong. reawakened for tourists to experience the aura of the old atmosphere of Yomjinda Road
Dr W — Google review
Yomjinda Road in the old city of Rayong was simply a dissappointment. It was Monday midday when we visited there and many or even most of the shops were closed. Okay, it is not anymore the high season of tourism but, then, the historic notability of the road should be reflected at least some way - with or without tourists. The shrine, a Chinese temple, on the road was in my opinion the most interesting place on Yomjinda Road.

Sights & Landmarks
Wat Pa Pradu is an ancient temple in Rayong, dating back to the Ayutthaya period. The main attraction is a large reclining Buddha image, measuring 11.95 meters long and 3.6 meters high, which lies on its left-hand side - a rare feature. The temple grounds also feature smaller statues for worship or photography, guard dragons, and a central entry pillar with Buddha imagery.
We came here on 2 May 2025. A nice peaceful temple area. Clean surroundings. Lots of parking 🅿️ spaces. We were fortunate to come here 🙏🏻
Christopher L — Google review
Perhaps this Temple's most notable feature is the small reclining buddha. There are several very large assembly halls here, and I was able to enter two of the buildings to see shrines. Several people received council and blessings from one of the monks.
Miles M — Google review
Wat Pa Pradu is probably the most famous of Rayong's Buddhist temples, one of those must visit places in Rayong, locating in the centre of the city. The reclining Buddha of the temple is not very big but it is made very different style as more famous recliner buddhas. Wat Pa Pradu is of course worth of visit.
Hannu T — Google review
nice, compact temple grounds with 3 or 4 other statues for worship or photos. the main attraction is the 12 meter reclining Buddha. mostly noted for age and being a rare left side reclining figure. the main statue building has several other smaller statues. guard dragons, and buddha at the center entry pillar, an area at the feet of the reclining Buddha with 3 worship stones, small feet replica and several smaller statues grouped together. of photo note a good view of the length from the head can be take from the outside thru a window. there is a gift shop area outside along with some other worship options such as floating flower candles.
Jaek W — Google review
Old temple in the center of Rayong, which has several interesting buildings. Temple itself has been changed for tourism and people who come to pray, practicing and get blessed.
Anuchit B — Google review
Every time I come to Rayong, I always come to pay respects to the reclining Buddha at this temple for good fortune and good luck. I always have good things waiting for me every time I come to pay respects to the Buddha here.
PHITA K — Google review
Wat Pa Pradu was a lovely, respectful religious area of building complexes In the central part of Rayong proper. The temple was named after the Pradu trees that grow there. The main attraction that most tourist go to see is the reclining Buddha who reclines un-typically on his left arm instead of his right. (There are many other things to be done and learnt for those wishing to learn more including an informative tour.) The Buddha is covered in gold leaf which many locals rub with something and then make a donation. It seems a bit like making a donation and lighting a candle. The area is awash with religious respect. Shoes are always removed. There is a main road entrance into the temple (which we missed) but you can also approach it from the rear, like us, because we missed the main road which bisects the complex. Well worth the experience.

Shopping
The Ko Kloi Floating Market is a tranquil lakeside shopping complex in Rayong that offers dining options and souvenir shops. Visitors can enjoy feeding fish and birds without any entrance fee. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, some of the businesses have closed down leading to fewer visitors. The market provides a good selection of food and souvenirs, but many shops have shut down because of the pandemic.
Cute old series of buildings on water. One great snack shack. Lots of koi to feed. A great place to relax, take a picnic.
Faith — Google review
It was almost sad to visit Ko Kloi Floating Market, only two shops open, almost no people in. Even though the market would be in its busiest, compared to Pattaya Floating Market, Ko Kloi is not very interesting. As such, these floating markets are rather historic pastiche.
Hannu T — Google review
Most of the shops were closed when I visited on a weekend
Akshay H — Google review
You will get the feeling of an old style market similar to the floating market in Ayutthaya. Lots of people are visiting during the weekends where many food stalls of many varieties including street foods, fruits, whole meal and even mookata (eat all u can) for all ages.. It's easy to find parking space since it's located inside PTT Gas station with adjacent free space across right wing and the Central Mall across the left side. Fresh air along nearby wooden walkways built over a manmade lake with some pedal boats to rent for strolling the water..
WiN E — Google review
No shops open any more.
Graham P — Google review
Ko Kloi Market offers a tranquil escape with its serene atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation, particularly in the afternoon. The market's choices are limited due to a sparse number of vendors and vacant stalls, resulting in lack of bustling activity. The fish swimming towards the visitors is an engaging experience. While not heavily visited, the market holds an appeal for those interested in its historical significance.
Romeo M — Google review
Certainly a place to visit if you're in Rayong ... not too much hustle and bustle, probably due to covid, but a pleasant outing. One can feed the fish and the birds, no entrance fee, and though limited, a good selection of food and souvenirs.

Flea & Street Markets
The Star Night Bazaar Market in Rayong is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. This bustling market offers a wide array of delectable street food, from traditional favorites like Pad Kra Pao and Som Tam to unique treats like thin, crunchy crepes drizzled with condensed milk. The market is quite large and busy, with both open-air food stalls and covered sections with shops and restaurants.
Super cozy place with loot's of food and clothing. A must visit if you are in Rayong. Open around 4 pm and close 9-10 pm.

Wendi G — Google review
This night market is totally different from the one i went in Bangkok! The food has much more variety and interesting stalls to try. The price are 20-50% cheaper than Bangkok too. Must go in Rayong!!
Byean — Google review
Amazing variety of food at such great prices. It’s somewhere where anyone can enjoy whether it’s fried chicken or fried crickets. Definitely worth a visit.
Oliver K — Google review
The market is located in central of province, if you come by car will difficult to find parking area. However, the food and items are variety with reasonable price. The only cons is when rain it will look a little bit not appreciated.
P. M — Google review
A good break (for me) from the confines of the hotel. An explosion of sounds and colours and smells greets you as you enter the night market, just after the guy at the entrance has your temp checked. There are dedicated rows of well laid-out stalls offering clothings, accessories, trinkets, footwear and, of course, food, drinks and fruits! Not so much of a unique experience, but being here will certainly immerse you into the Thai-ness of the environment.

The Two Trees, also known as Terra Cotta, is a stylish and trendy restaurant that offers delicious Thai cuisine along with a delectable selection of homemade cakes and pastries. The restaurant maintains its traditional focus on great food while constantly updating its look. It's highly recommended for its cozy outdoor seating and tranquil garden atmosphere. Diners rave about the Som Tom papaya salad and the dried fried pork appetizer, as well as the variety of tasty desserts available.
Satisfied with nice Thai food and good interia and enjoyed pea flower drinking. Clean floor and kind service.
TAEJUN O — Google review
A stylish restaurant that keeps updating its look, yet still retains its traditions on great food and bakery. Highly recommended. I usually love to sit outdoors due to its cozy atmosphere and tranquility of the garden. The food selection is good and most importantly, very yummy. I really like the Som Tom papaya salad and the dried fried pork aperitif. Deserts are great too, you just have to go inside and see the selection. They have the new matcha cakes and everything is fresh and light (gone are heavy cream cakes). Good for an early dinner as the place tends to get busy later, no wonder due to its popularity. A classic!

Cafe
Happy Camper Rayong is a cozy café located near Bierhaus, offering a delightful selection of coffee, cakes, and sweet treats. It's also close to Odile Steak House for those craving Western cuisine. Visitors recommend trying the Prapika Cheese ball and Nam prik fried rice while enjoying the pleasant ambiance by the canal in the late afternoon. The menu offers a variety of delicious food and beverages, making it an ideal spot for working on your laptop or meeting friends.
Cool place to hang out while enjoying your refreshments and foods
Kanyarat M — Google review
The place is unique and cool, dessert and drinks are at par — higher price but trade off with the atmosphere. There are kid play ground both in and out door, very natural down to earth (ความสะอาดตามสภาพ) But the door handle hurt/squeezed my finger, this is big minus score for this review not ok at all. However the purple rice stick is not bad at all good when it’s hot Mocha is highly not recommended Americano lychee is so so
Sumet K — Google review
Must try! - Prapika Cheese ball - Nam prik fired rice Overall menus are fine I prefer the main dish over the sweets. better go there late afternoon as it is not too hot and can sit along the canel. You can simply sit and chill with good foods and music plus, many scenery for photo.

Definitely looks better than it tasted. While the atmosphere is nice, I wouldn’t recommend going here if you want coffee or shaved ice. Overpriced for what you get.

Restaurant
Elementi Rooftop Grill & Bar offers a relaxed atmosphere, especially during sunset. You can enjoy drinks at the counter bar if you're alone. While the ocean view is stunning, it's not the best spot for watching the sunset. The menu features a variety of drinks including wine, whiskey, and cocktails; their Margarita comes highly recommended for its refreshing sour taste.
We had the seafood fettuccine pasta, beef short rip and burrata salad. Food was amazing!!! Hard to find these types of food in Rayong. Service is spot on especially, Best, who waited our table. Highly recommend the restaurant!
Phatxalin P — Google review
I recently visited a rooftop restaurant and bar just outside of Bangkok, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The sweeping 180-degree sea view was nothing short of breathtaking, offering a serene and stunning backdrop that perfectly complemented the relaxed atmosphere. The interior design resonated beautifully with my tastes—sleek, modern, and visually striking. Compared to other rooftop venues I’ve visited, this one stood out as a clear favorite, especially for its ambiance and the unique black lighting that added a sophisticated, moody edge to the space. The menu leaned more toward Western cuisine than traditional local fare, but that didn’t bother me—the flavors were well-executed and enjoyable. The only drawback was the lack of a welcoming presence at the entrance. No staff were stationed to greet arriving guests, which made the initial impression feel a bit impersonal. Still, aside from that minor detail, the overall experience was wonderful.

I ordered penna carbonara salmon and sear salmon fillet. They are amazing. Penne and salmon are excellent,Not overcooked like many restaurant in Thailand. But they are perfect cooking. Flavorful sauce as well. I got welcome drinks from the hotel as member. The wine is good quality. The service not everyone perfect but there are a few who have a service mind that help me manage some problems of my coupons and my mobile phone. They have both indoor and ourdoor seat but the outdoor which are rooftop bar and smoking area. The bartender is welcomed and helpful. So I love to recommend this restaurant and I will come back here again.

soup was a tad diluted, chicken wings were a little dehydrated, pasta-tasted like fried noodles, pizza crust was chewy, more like sourdough, most ridiculous was that they charged 49baht for grated parmesan cheese.

This restaurant located in the city of Rayong, offers an Italian and Western fusion menu. The environment is welcoming, clean and comfortable. The menu offers a wide choice of dishes ranging from meat to fish, from pasta to pizza. Even though the chef is not Italian, I must admit that the composition and presentation of the dishes is of a high standard, I was pleasantly impressed. Honest prices compared to the types of dishes cooked. The meat is excellent as is the fish. The service is precise and quick

Great food and some of the best service we've had in Thailand. The appetizers came out before the entrees and together...which is always a plus and rare in Thailand LOL. Food was really good. They could improve the atmosphere a bit. Seemed a little like a cafe instead of a steak house.

German restaurant
German Bierhaus Rayong is an authentic German street food establishment in Rayong, Thailand. The restaurant offers a wide variety of original German dishes such as sausages, pretzels, and schnitzel, along with a selection of German beers on tap. In addition to the German fare, the restaurant also serves Thai dishes, pasta, and pizza. The interior is inviting and has been a popular spot for both locals and visitors for several years.
I went there several times since I came the first time in Rayong 5 years ago. One of the best international food there. Good ambient, nice music and of course the food is excellent. Price is super fair.

A nice restaurant to visit with a nice interior, and it has now been 3 years since my last visit. A rich menu where you are guaranteed to find something to eat, here are both Western and Thai dishes. A good selection of both local and imported beer is served, in addition to other good beverages. A pleasant service follows you up during the visit, which provides a relaxed atmosphere. Parking is done in the street outside, or in an adjacent area.
John S — Google review
Nice restaurant with good seating. Food is rather disappointing. Better for a German beer than German food. Sausages are very local low quality and sauerkraut not tasty. It is not bad but also not good thus it makes sense only if you stay nearby otherwise not worth it. The portions are big for people who enjoy quantity.
