Good place Neatly maintand Historic Some historic antique excavated pieces are there, some of them from other parts of India. In my view, There we can see lot of historical thinks like Coins, tools, swords etc that belongs to Tipu's era or Akbar's era. Onething I must say is, DONT TOUCH anything and Don't even sit in the floor or balcony .. i like the behaviour of staffs and guides there but better to improve little more politeness.
MUHAMMED N — Google review
A surprisingly well maintained palace. Wasn't expecting such a secluded peaceful spit smack in the middle of the city. Can easily spend around an hour visiting it. This is a palace cum museum. Includes a charming garden too. The exhibits are well maintained and labeled. If you don't find parking at the main entrance, park near nearby stadium grounds and walk over.
Rethish P — Google review
A place well maintained. Very well organised with beautiful garden. Only issue is that even for hybrid camera we have to pay 1500rs which is not worth. Parking is available for very few cars. Recommended place.

A peaceful and affordable spot in the heart of Thrissur, this zoo and museum offer a mix of wildlife, history, and nature. Though small, it houses animals, birds, a snake park, and a lovely museum with Kerala’s traditional art and artifacts. Great for families and kids. Needs a bit of modernization, but still worth a short visit.
Ganesan B — Google review
Thrissur Zoo is a decent place to spend a few hours, especially if you’re visiting with kids or have an interest in wildlife. The zoo has a fair variety of animals and birds, and the adjoining natural history museum adds some educational value to the visit. The lush greenery and shaded paths make walking around pleasant. However, some enclosures feel a bit small and could be better maintained. The layout can be confusing for first-time visitors, and a few areas look like they need renovation. It’s not a bad experience overall, but there’s room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and animal care. A good visit if you’re in the area, but not something worth traveling far for.
Iam_Sarath_sk — Google review
Visited the Thrissur Zoo recently and had a pleasant experience. Though not very large, the zoo offers a peaceful environment with a decent variety of animals, birds, and reptiles.  Clean pathways and shaded areas make it a relaxing visit, though some parts could use better signage and upgrades. Overall, a calm and affordable outing for families and nature lovers visiting Thrissur.
Beyona B — Google review
The entrance fee for one person is Rs. 20, and for children, there is nothing to see in this museum except a tiger, a lion, a spotted deer, and a few snakes. I learned that all the animals here have been moved to the largest natural park in Thrissur, which is about to open. Those who want to visit Thrissur should go to the Thrissur National Park. I felt that spending time there was a waste.
Subair H — Google review
The zoo could use some improvement. A few animals appeared unwell and their living conditions seemed inadequate. Overall, it wasn’t a very enjoyable or relaxing visit, so I would suggest considering other options for now.

Our Lady of Dolours Basilica, sometimes referred to as "Puthanpally," is a magnificent church situated in the center of the city of Thrissur. For the Christian community, it is a proud representation of faith and tradition and one of the biggest and tallest churches in India. The current magnificent building was started in 1929, although the first church was constructed in 1814. In 1940, it was finished and blessed. The church is well-known for its striking Gothic design and towering, distant spires. With multiple altars, exquisite murals, saint statues, and vibrant stained-glass windows, the church's interior is equally stunning. It is the ideal spot for prayer and introspection because of the serene surroundings. The church's attractiveness and spiritual worth are further enhanced by a Bible Tower that features scenes from Jesus' life. The Feast of Our Lady of Dolours, observed on September 15, is the main event of Puthanpally. On this day, people remember Mother Mary's sorrows and offer special prayers. The yearly church feast, which takes place on the fourth Sunday of November, is another significant occasion. Thousands of devotees attend the festivities, which feature a large flag raising, novena prayers, special Masses, candle processions, and vibrant fireworks. To put it briefly, Thrissur Puthanpally is a symbol of faith, tradition, and history rather than merely a church. Every visitor can have a unique spiritual experience there, whether on the happy feast days or the calm weekdays.

The first mistake we made was visiting without finding out much about the place beforehand, so we missed the Bible Tower view. The surroundings are calm and divine, but we couldn’t explore much as we arrived during prayer time and it was already late in the evening.

Paramekkavu Bhagavathi Temple in Thrissur is a significant Hindu complex where the goddess Durga is believed to have traveled on a believer's umbrella. It is one of the largest temples dedicated to Bhagavathy in Kerala and is known for its captivating architectural design. The temple plays a crucial role in the vibrant Thrissur Pooram festival, adding to the city's festive spirit with its annual rituals and ceremonies that draw devotees and tourists alike.
One of the most divine temples in Thrissur. The moment you enter, you feel that calm and energy unique to Bhagavathy temples. The temple opens 4:30 AM–11:30 AM and again 4:00 PM–8:30 PM — early morning pooja is the best time to visit. Azhilya (Ayilyam) pooja here is very special — devotees believe it removes naga dosham and brings good health and blessings. Neyyabhishekam and poojas are done beautifully by the priests. There’s parking available near the temple, quite convenient for a central location. Right now, construction work is going on for a new auditorium, but darshan and poojas continue normally. A peaceful, powerful temple that reflects the true soul of Thrissur. Must visit — especially during Pooram time!

Located near the Vadakumnathan temple, where the famous thrissur pooram festival happens. Temple is dedicated to Bhagavathy amman. There is a strict dress code for men in this temple. Men are not allowed to wear shirt and baniyan, also pants/ trousers are not allowed. Men should be bare chested and wear a veshti alone. But ladies don’t have a strict dress code. Temple area is very nicely maintained.

Hotel Bharath (Pure Veg) is a legendary vegetarian restaurant located in the heart of Thrissur, Kerala. Established in the 1960s, it has been serving delicious and unique dishes, including the iconic sadhya meal without garlic. The restaurant is always bustling with patrons enjoying their famous masala dosa and coffee for breakfast. Despite its popularity leading to peak hour rushes, the supportive staff ensures fast delivery of their excellent food.
Hotel Bharath is a spacious and very well-maintained place with great seating arrangements. Everything is super clean and comfortable. The staff were really cool and served quickly. I had curd vada — creamy, sweet, and slightly tangy — the star of my meal! The filter coffee was on another level, especially with the cutlet. Chapathi with kadala and kuruma was freshly made with grounded masala and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Thrissur town! 👌

This restaurant is a landmark vegetarian food center for thrissur. I had been visiting this place since my childhood living in thrissur. Majority of the people living in the area would have visited here once in their life time. Excellent tasty vegetarian food available here. If you are Dosa lover, this is one place to get traditional masala dosa, uzhunnu vada etc. They also serve mind blowing coffee. YOu will get all traditional veg menu there. uthappam, idli, upma, puri/masala are available as well. During peak hours it will be difficult to find a space. They have airconditioned rooms available as well. Lots of people visit here after a few temple visits in the culturally rich Thrissur town which is full of Hindu temples. Vadakkunnathan temple, Paramekkavu Devi Kshethram and Thriuvambadi temple are close to this restaurant. Ragam movies is also next to this hotel. They also provide free car parking next to the restaurant.

If you’re in or around Thrissur, this is one place you simply cannot miss. Hands down, this is the best pure-veg restaurant in the entire city. I’ve tried many places, but nothing even comes close to Bharath. Must-try dishes: 1. Curd Vada 2. Chole Bhature 3. Fruit Salad – this one is truly out of this world! The service is warm and the staff are attentive, which makes the experience even better. A few challenges: Parking is tough. They do have a dedicated area, but it’s rarely enough. The restaurant is small for the crowd it attracts, so expect to wait and watch for tables to free up. A token system would help, but they don’t use one. Prices are slightly on the higher side compared to quantity. That said, once the food arrives, everything feels justified. The taste makes up for every inconvenience. A must-visit, without a doubt.

Had a great family meal at Bharat Hotel. The Poori and Masala Dosa were tasty, and the place is very clean with hygienic washrooms. It is also very affordable at just ₹460 for four people. Their crowd management is much better than most other places. I highly recommend it!

Returning to Bharat Hotel after 25+ years! This place is a true gem. The traditional dosa is wonderfully authentic—perfectly crisp and genuinely satisfying. They've also done a fantastic job of modernizing, offering several exciting new dosa varieties on the menu. A must-try is the Special Coffee. It's rich, thick, and surprisingly filling,it genuinely felt like a meal! Bharat successfully balances honoring its history with staying fresh. I recently went for breakfast and had to try some of their dishes. Being one of the oldest hotel in thrissur which brings lots of nostalgic moments for your family. From Pathans cafe to Pathans Hotel now, that is famous for their Masala dosa and Thayir Vada. I tried their Butter masala dosa,Poori,Thayir Vada. I can say definitely that it’s a decent spot to dine-in with your family and friends. One thing which I liked it, their Quantity which justifies the quality and price. Masala dosa can be surely had by max 2 people. And their Vadai soaked in Thayir/curd though could have been improved a little to bring the authenticity of it, still a good choice to order if you’re looking for one.

Had an incredible dining experience at Pathan's Hotel, a fantastic vegetarian spot! I devoured their Batturi and Gee Roast, and the flavors were absolutely great! Both were crispy and generous in quantity. The service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend this place to all veggie foodies out there! 👍

Tried butter dosa, vada, and coffee. The Butter dosa was good, crispy and flavorful. Sambar was good, and chammanthi chutney were just average. Vada was disappointing....lacked salt and didn't taste fresh, so I couldn’t finish it. Coffee was fine, and the service and seating were okay. Good for a quick dosa stop, but I’d skip the vada next tym.

Nothing special. Food was pretty ordinary. Coffee was way too sugary . Had ghee roast and vada coffee - nothing about it that justified the hype. Could easily find a better option that's less expensive. Also, parking's gonna be a big pain since it's super adjacent to Thrissur round. Won't be rushing back here tbh. BUT, shoutout to the staff! They were super friendly and did a solid job serving and managing seat arrangements They made sure we were comfy despite the restaurant's limitations.

Coffee shop
Situated conveniently at the intersection, Indian Coffee House in Bangalore is a prime location for the public to enjoy their meals throughout the day. The dedicated staff ensures prompt service and the restaurant is often bustling during lunchtime, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. This eatery holds sentimental value for many as it evokes nostalgia from its heyday in the 1980s.
Indian Coffee House is one of those timeless places that never lose their charm. Stepping inside feels like being transported to an era where simplicity, warmth, and good food mattered most. The service is courteous, the ambience is humble yet nostalgic, and the staff always make you feel welcome with their signature white uniforms and friendly smiles. The menu is simple but comforting — from their legendary filter coffee to fluffy omelettes, crisp dosas, and cutlets that taste just like home. The coffee is rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed, making it the highlight of any visit. Prices are very reasonable, which makes it a place for everyone, whether you’re a student, a professional, or a family enjoying a casual outing. What truly sets Indian Coffee House apart is its atmosphere — it’s not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. A place where conversations flow as freely as the coffee, where nostalgia meets affordability, and where tradition continues to thrive in a fast-changing world. If you’re looking for authentic taste, old-world charm, and value for money, Indian Coffee House is an absolute must-visit.

Never really understood the hype around this place..The famed cutlets were such a let down..only redeeming factor was that it was hot while served, but tastewise it was a disaster all potato with traces of beef . The sugary diluted tomato syrup they serve with it was equally bad. Coffee too didnt help things . It looks like People go there for purely nostalgic reasons. Food definitely ain't it.

I recently tried a classic combo — a hot cup of coffee paired with a crispy veg cutlet — and it did not disappoint! Coffee: The coffee was rich and aromatic with a bold flavor, just the way I like it. It had a perfect balance of strength and smoothness, and the frothy top added a creamy texture that made each sip comforting. Served hot and fresh, it was ideal for a relaxing break or a quick refreshment. Veg Cutlet: The veg cutlet was golden brown and crispy on the outside, while the inside was soft and packed with flavorful veggies and spices. The blend of mashed potatoes, carrots, beans, and subtle seasoning gave it a homely yet savory taste. It was served with a side of tangy ketchup, which complemented the cutlet well. Overall: A simple yet satisfying snack combo! The warmth of the coffee pairs beautifully with the crunch and spice of the veg cutlet. Perfect for evening tea time or a light café snack. 🌟 Rating: 4.5/5 Would definitely recommend trying this combo if you're in the mood for something classic, tasty, and comforting.

I've been here multiple times. Food was good. I tried chicken biryani, masala dosa and poori masala. Coffee is also good. There is an ample parking ground near the building but it's paid parking. The parking near the Indian coffee house is full most of the times

Indian Coffee House has a nostalgic charm and a special place in the hearts of many. It's known for its simple, old-school ambience and budget-friendly menu. It’s almost always crowded, which shows how popular the place is — but it also means you might have to wait a bit, especially during peak hours. The vibe is lively, and you can feel the buzz of regulars and new visitors alike. The food is basic and familiar, with signature items like cutlets, dosa, coffee, and omelettes. It’s not about luxury here — it’s about comfort, memories, and that unique Indian Coffee House experience. If you're okay with crowds and love simple, old-fashioned South Indian food, it's definitely worth a visit.

One of the oldest and biggest coffee house in town, located very nearby to vadake bus stand. It has seating in ground floor and first floor for families, mostly crowded all time of the day and the dining options are good here. Don’t expect high end dining experience or anything from here, there are some cleaning issues and place is a little messy but as someone who is been visiting here for a while I would always love to go and try different foods every now and then. There is bathroom facilities also and again don’t expect much cleanliness, it’s maintained to the best possible way with a great service.

Vegetarian restaurant
Madurai Vegetarian (Veg) is a chic vegetarian restaurant situated overlooking greenery. They serve a wide range of Indian and international vegan food, including Chinese and Continental cuisine. The restaurant has a parking lot and usually there is crowd for lunch and weekends. The food is delicious, with prices on the higher end but the quality of service is assured.
restaurant which easy accessible, with ample car parking. Food was awesome with great varieties. I ordered double ghee roast and it was much heavier than I expected. It can be shared by two or three people.

Food quality ,taste and quantity wise no compromise all the items are worthy Cold beverages no compromise in quantity and taste Highly expensive compared to other vegetarian restaurants.

Plenty of parking space, which is a big plus. The ambience is really nice with an oldschool aesthetic exposed brick walls and a slightly dark vibe that makes it cozy. For food, I tried Malai Paneer, Mushroom Curry, Kulcha, Butter Naan, and chilly gopi. The Mushroom Curry was the highlight super tasty! Malai Paneer was just average, and the breads (Kulcha & Butter Naan) were really good. The Gobi , though, felt a bit off masala was nice but inside it lacked flavor.

This veg restaurant is an absolute gem! We've had the pleasure of visiting this place multiple times during our travels from Ernakulam to Thrissur, and each experience has been consistently delightful. The team works in perfect harmony, ensuring seamless service. The ample parking space is a huge plus. Whether you're in the mood for something light or a hearty meal, this restaurant has got you covered - the variety is impressive! The ambience and interior are truly stunning, exuding elegance and sophistication. What truly sets this place apart, however, is its unwavering commitment to hygiene and neatness - kudos to the team for maintaining such high standards! The food is not only served promptly but is also incredibly delicious. It's no surprise that this place is always bustling with crowds, likely drawn in by the predominantly vegetarian menu that seems to cater to many. A big round of applause to the entire team and staff who work tirelessly to make this restaurant a culinary haven!

Today evening we ordered Ghee Podi Dosa. Unfortunately, the dish was extremely spicy — even spicier than “Jolo Chips,” which made it inedible. We immediately informed the waiter, but there was no response or concern shown. We just had a taste and left the rest, still paying the full bill. Afterward, we did not feel well. This was a very disappointing experience, and we strongly suggest the restaurant take customer feedback seriously and ensure the quality of food is balanced and safe for all.

We travelled for 6 hours exhausted and hungry. That's when found this vegetarian place and so happy that we chose this. There was waiting for tables but they were considerate as we had kids. Good variety of menu and day's specials were good too. We ordered dosa, vegetable pulav , soup and panir tikka starter. All were good and service was quick. Definitely recommend for casual lunch and dinner at this place. Ambience can be improved a little bit.

This restaurant is excellent for vegetarian or if, you're looking for something Veg. The North Indian cuisine is magnificent. Parking space is okay during their peak hours. Food prices are extremely reasonable. I have visited the restaurant several times. Unfortunately I don't have any images to add. The quantity is outstanding for the price. During peaks there might be waiting but, you'll get your table quickly. Consider visiting this restaurant. Love it!

C'sons RepEat is a popular cafe in Thrissur known for its unpretentious atmosphere and diverse menu. It has been a go-to spot for ice creams and sundaes, offering a wide variety of shakes, mocktails, cakes, and moderately priced treats. The cafe's interior decor is visually appealing and the service is comparable to fine dining.
Although it is quite old and aesthetic's is not up to mark, the food is scrumptious. The service is dull but it's ok.There sweets are amazing.Try the Brownie icecream, where they pour hot chocolate all over it.Its a bit expensive, but there is a lot to eat.I request the staff to just make some renovations so that it suits the modern style.

Went there first time for lunch. Ordered chinese - usual super dry scrambled egg in rice. Gravy gobi Manchurian was full of soy sauce as was the dry paneer chilli. The killer dishes were the "russian salad" and the "beef steak". What was that mush they were serving as russian salad? It had some tiny pieces of apple. Rest was all kerala banana. Horrible to say the least. And no dressing. It was sweet with added sugar, more a fruit salad. Should be renamed as kerala salad 🤣. Photo attached. I asked what the beef steak accompaniments were. They said veggies and mashed patato. Yeah right. Single Small Julienne of carrot, half a baby corn, one slice of zucchini and one spoon of mash. See for yourself in attached photo. The menu does say the steak is "home style" and so it was. 2 overthick small lumps of cold meat overcooked in a pressure cooker which hasnt seen any grill and dont know when cooked. Accompaniment was a thickish tamarind sauce so sour it was unpalatable. This for around rs 400. I should have crossed the street and had the steak from corniche resto which serves veggies and a palatable sauce. All in all a most unforgettable experience. I should learn not to trust ratings of kerala restaurants. Never go there or order online

I visited Cson's restaurant a couple of years ago in Poothole. We ordered mostly Chinese food, and it was delicious. Cson's Repeat had a good menu selection. We ordered a Caesar salad, chicken tikka biryani, spaghetti, dragon chopsuey, lava chicken fried rice, and cream of chicken soup. The salad and soup were good and refreshing. The chicken soup deserves special mention; it had the highest ratio of chicken cubes of any soup I've ever tried!😁 The dragon chopsuey was decent; it was less spicy than what we've had at Hao Ming and other places. The lava chicken fried rice was also good; it's basically chicken fried rice with a bed of chilli chicken. The spaghetti was too creamy, giving it a sweet flavour, and the oregano was overpowering. The star of the evening was the chicken tikka biryani, a must-try. It's not flashy, but the combination of soft basmati rice and chicken tikka masala is uniquely flavorful. Overall, it was a good experience with friendly waiters, and the prices were affordable.

Food is good, though we felt salt was kind of less in all dishes. Ambience is good, but when we went there, there was some power issue and AC was not working. It was just too hot we felt like running away from there. Parking space is very less which is a big minus point.
