Meenakshi Amman Temple is an ancient Hindu place of worship located in Madurai. The temple features a walled complex with colorful, sculpted gate towers and a sacred water tank. It is a significant religious site with historical and cultural importance, attracting visitors from all over the world.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Divine and Peaceful Experience at Madurai Meenakshi Temple The Madurai Meenakshi Temple is truly a masterpiece — both spiritually and architecturally. The temple is maintained exceptionally well, with clean surroundings and a beautifully organized atmosphere. The queue system is very decent and perfectly managed, ensuring everyone gets a comfortable and peaceful darshan. What impressed me most was how calm and orderly everything felt — no pushing or rush in the lines, allowing devotees to fully experience the divine presence of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar. It was a deeply satisfying and serene visit. Highly recommend visiting this temple for anyone seeking a truly divine and peaceful darshan experience! 🙏

An absolute masterpiece of devotion and architecture. The moment you enter, you’re surrounded by color, life, and divine energy. Every sculpture, every carving tells a story from centuries of faith. The towering gopurams painted in vibrant hues are breathtaking up close. This temple isn’t just a monument; it’s the living heart of Madurai. The rituals, the chants, the fragrance of incense, and the calm faces of devotees create an atmosphere you can feel in your bones. Goddess Meenakshi’s sanctum radiates an indescribable sense of peace and power.Whether you visit for faith, history, or art, you’ll walk out lighter, grateful, and deeply moved. Truly one of India’s most magnificent spiritual experiences.🤩🕉️🔱♥️🛕

A peaceful and memorable visit to Madurai Meenakshi Temple I recently visited the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple and it was a beautiful experience. The temple is grand and full of history, with amazing carvings and colorful towers. At the moment, the towers are under renovation and painting work is going on, so most of them are covered. Still, the temple’s beauty and energy can be felt everywhere. Inside, the atmosphere is calm and spiritual. The darshan of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar felt very peaceful. Even though it was crowded, everything was fairly well organized. One thing to be careful about — there are a lot of people outside trying to mislead visitors, especially auto drivers and some shopkeepers. They might say there’s no cloakroom inside, but don’t believe that. There are official cloakrooms near all four temple towers where you can safely keep your slippers and mobile phones. Overall, it was a meaningful visit and a reminder of how rich and alive our traditions still are. #MaduraiTemple #MeenakshiAmmanTemple #Madurai #TempleVisit #TamilNaduTemples #TravelTips #SpiritualExperience #IncredibleIndia

This place is awesome. A lot of spiritual values with history. Located in between City. Market, shops, restaurant near by. Special Darshan can be available with 100 rs ticket for both temple inside the campus. Free darshan takes more time than usual. Now painting work is going on. And maybe it will six months atleast so now people not able to see it's beautiful architecture from outside. Mobile, Smart watch, earbuds etc not allowed inside temple. U can kept it in claok room with reasonable price less than 20rs accordingly. No special dress code required for this temple. Nearest junction is madurai and auto available easily or u can go by walk.

One of the most famous Temple of India , situation in Madurai. It's temple of Meenakshi Amman otherwise known as Devi Parvathi. Don't miss this temple ,it's also one of the oldest temple in India . Best time to visit will be during 5 or 6 AM in the morning,so that you can finish darshan in less than 30mins ,it gets crowded later in the day . I wish they keep the surrounding of temple a little bit more clean . Mobile isn't allowed inside .

Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple is one of the most magnificent temples in India. The intricate sculptures, colorful gopurams, and rich cultural heritage make the visit unforgettable. The temple premises are clean, the queue system is well organized, and security is helpful. Morning and evening poojas are truly divine. The entire atmosphere feels sacred and peaceful. This temple is not just a spiritual place but also an architectural wonder. Definitely a must-visit for anyone coming to Madurai.

I visited the Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, and the experience was truly exceptional. I loved the temple with all my heart. The architecture is breathtaking, and they are still working on certain areas to make it even better. Every intricate detail on the walls is impressive and reflects the temple’s rich heritage. The people there are incredibly pure and kind-hearted. Their warmth and the way they treat visitors stood out to me—they genuinely make you feel respected and welcomed. Before entering the temple, there are a few important rules to follow. You must remove your shoes, and bags have to be deposited at the designated counters. Shoe storage is available for free at specific counters, which is very convenient. Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the temple premises, and you cannot leave your phone inside your bag. There is a special counter meant only for mobile phones, where they charge ₹5 per phone. So if you are planning to visit, it’s best to come hands-free or carry only what’s necessary so you can enter peacefully and enjoy the temple without any hassle. Overall, it was a soulful and memorable experience, and I would highly recommend a visit to anyone traveling to Madurai.

🌟 A Breathtaking Marvel of Dravidian Architecture and Divine Energy! (5/5 Stars) 🌟 The Meenakshi Amman Temple is not just a place of worship; it is an architectural and spiritual masterpiece that left me completely in awe. It is the heart and soul of Madurai and an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling through South India. What truly stands out: 1. The Gopurams (Gateway Towers): The sheer scale and detail of the 14 multi-tiered, colorful gopurams are unbelievable. They are adorned with thousands of intricate, vibrant carvings depicting various gods and mythological scenes, telling ancient stories in stone. Walking past them feels like stepping into a living, breathing history book. 2. The Spiritual Ambiance: Inside, the atmosphere is incredibly serene despite the crowds. The scent of incense, the sound of temple bells, and the sight of devotees performing rituals create a powerful and deeply moving spiritual experience. The inner sanctum of Goddess Meenakshi is truly divine. 3. Architectural Highlights: Be sure to spend time in the Hall of Thousand Pillars (Aayiram Kaal Mandapam)—the carving and symmetry are mind-blowing (even though there are 985, not a literal thousand!). Also, don't miss the Golden Lotus Tank (Potramarai Kulam); it provides a beautiful, reflective view of the Southern gopuram. A quick tip for your visit: Mobile phones and cameras are generally not allowed inside, so please use the dedicated deposit counter. It's worth getting a special darshan ticket if you are pressed for time, but otherwise, simply soaking in the history and devotion is enough. An unforgettable journey into art, faith, and history. Highly, highly recommended!

Nestled in the heart of Madurai, the Arulmigu Koodal Azhagar Temple is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Tucked away in narrow lanes, this ancient temple may be overshadowed by the grandeur of the nearby Meenakshi Temple, but it captivates visitors with its vibrant and intricate architecture.
Arulmigu Koodal Azhagar Temple in Madurai is a truly divine and peaceful place to visit. The temple architecture is stunning, especially the colorful gopuram with its detailed carvings, which looks even more beautiful when lit up at night. The atmosphere inside is very calm, and darshan was smooth with almost no waiting time. It’s one of the prominent temples in Madurai and definitely worth visiting for both its spiritual value and architectural beauty. A must-visit if you are exploring Madurai — perfect for experiencing the city’s rich heritage and devotion.

A vaishnava temple that had history of More than 2300 years in record , Tamil literature talks about only kal azhaghar koil, to differentiate that the name kept as koodal azhaghar koil (koodal -madurai). Temple have a wide pragaram with pillared hall showing beautiful paintings of 108 divyadesham . The top view of gopuram are top notch of the temple architecture (similar to seerkali sattainathar temple). Very beautiful paintings representing 10 avathars of Vishnu and Stories (must visit the temple who and all visiting madurai meenakshi) this temple is very near(400m)from meenakshi but sadly unnoticed by many devotees

I recently visited this magnificent temple and was truly left in awe. The moment you step inside, you’re embraced by a sense of calm and serenity that's hard to find elsewhere. The environment is peaceful, clean, and well-maintained, perfect for spiritual reflection or simply a quiet escape from the noise of daily life. What really stood out to me were the ancient sculptures and intricate carvings throughout the temple. Every corner tells a story, of devotion, history, and unparalleled craftsmanship. The details on the pillars, walls, and idols are simply breathtaking. It’s like walking through a living museum, yet you feel the spiritual energy all around. The temple complex is vast, with shaded walkways, well-kept gardens, and plenty of space to sit and soak in the atmosphere. Whether you're a history lover, a spiritual seeker, or just someone who appreciates culture and architecture, this place has something special to offer. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. It’s not just a temple, it’s an experience.

Do not visit this place until they finish their renovation. It’s total waste of money and time. On each side of main building which is under renovation, there are two galleries. One is paid and another is either free or included in the price. Staffs at both centre were taking their mid noon nap and was not bothered to greet or say hello. All what’s on display was in a very bad state. There were lots of spelling mistakes on all the writings. Someone accountable, please have a look. This is not what a Gandhi Museum in India should look like even when it’s on renovation. Very very very disappointed and has never seen anything pathetic like this.
Smitha A — Google review
Didn't go there. This is always in renovation. Wase r of time. Glad that ticket cost is not so high, just ten rupees per adult and five rupees for kids. Museum renovated for ever ..this is a bad administration for all relevant departments. And it's a huge reputation damage to the City. I urge honorable district collector sir to jump in an look into this on priority.
Bhaskar S — Google review
Main museum is under renovation (it was supposed to have reopened by now), government museum is often closed depending on the day, and the only thing to see is a small exhibit on the Indian independence movement, a replica of Gandhi’s house, and a shrine that (supposedly) contains some of his ashes. Worth 30-45 minutes if you’re already in the area otherwise skip it - you can get the same information about Gandhi online quite easily. Also why is there a giant T-Rex at a Gandhi memorial? Seems a bit distasteful.
Austin L — Google review
I visited this place on 17th July 2025. There was only a small gallery where you could learn about india's journey from when the britishers started colonising to the independence period.. it would take 30- 40 mins to see this gallery. A lot of history that we learned in school and more can be understood from here. In addition to this there is a small museum that was open. There is also a small memorial where Gandhijis ashes are kept. However, the main museum was closed for renovation. Based on my interaction with one staff member, it seems the closed part of the museum would re-open on 2nd October 2025. Pls check with the latest info.. i have seen many reviewers criticizing the staff working there. However, i never faced any issues and the staff were very polite.
Jithin R — Google review
The government museum was closed as we visited on a second Saturday. Some sections of the museum were set up on some individual buildings which we could see. Our experience was good.
Varna M — Google review
Visited the museum on 2 October 2025.. The main museum (palace) was closed for renovation. Some pictures, books and written facts about Gandhiji and freedom struggle is displayed in the gallery. There is a small bookshop near the gallery. Saw the Asthi peedam. Gandhi kutir was closed. The small museum to the left was closed. It has many historical artifacts. # Inside the gallery the staffs were watching reels with high volume. # The security in front of the small museum was very rude. As tourists we may not know everything about the museum and buildings. So if we ask something I believe they should answer politely or guide us to someone who is more informed.

You must see it to believe in it's beauty . When ,I ,visited AVKC Kalyana Mahal to attend my Sister's house wedding on 10/11/25 , I was astonished to see it's beauty . The people who reside nearby are blessed, so much so they can witness the beauty of the Crimson Sun rising in the morning , take a walk in the evening 🚶‍♂️, enjoy the crisply fried Mullu Murangakeerai Vadai or cool Madurai famous Jigarthanda & while away their time soaking in the beauty of Sun 🌞 ☀️ 🌤 🌅 set & rest on it's bunds during moon light . I learnt that the tank is full to it's capacity because of the recent incessant rain & it helps to recharge the ground water 💧 table & thereby helping the people who reside nearby & the business establishments , there . I learnt that Float Festivities are held annually & it will be a treat to watch it in the backdrop of well illuminated night 🌙 skies . Boat services 🚢 🚣‍♂️ 🛥 🛶 ⛵️ 🚢 🚣‍♀️ are there to enjoy for a nominal ticket amount . MADURAINS YOU ARE GIFTED TO HAVE SUCH A EYE 👁 ✨️ CATCHING TEPPAKULAM IN YOUR TOWN . ENJOY IT .

A temple pond complex with a man-made island in the middle. A great venue for spending the evening in Madurai and enjoying with snacks. One has to bargain a lot with Autos to reach here or while going back to your stay. This place is a hot spot for all the local ppl with walking area around the pond and which lighted up in the evening. Many ladies were seen enjoying their evening with mirchi bhajji or fruit chat or other snacks which are available from the different carts. Children were playing nearby in narrow pathway. Boating facility is available but during my trip it was not operating. Otherwise one can reach to the temple and explore that also. But luckily I witnessed beautiful sunset.

Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam is a beautiful and historic temple tank in Madurai, famous for its massive size and serene atmosphere. The water tank is so huge that it looks like a small lake, with steps all around and a mandapam in the center. It is especially popular during the annual Float Festival (Teppotsavam) when the idols of the deities are taken around on decorated floats — a truly mesmerizing sight. The place is calm and peaceful in the evenings, perfect for a quiet walk or to sit and relax. Surrounded by greenery and temple structures, it feels both spiritual and refreshing. When filled with water, the reflections and ambience make it a lovely spot for photography as well. A must-visit landmark in Madurai, not just for devotees but also for those who appreciate culture, history, and scenic beauty.

Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam is a beautiful and historic temple tank in Madurai, just a few kilometers from the Meenakshi Temple. Known for its serene ambiance and stunning size (spanning over 16 acres), it’s surrounded by steps on all sides, with a central island dedicated to Lord Vinayaka. The tank, created in the 17th century during King Thirumalai Nayak's reign, is linked to the Vaigai River and holds cultural and religious significance. One of the most captivating times to visit is during the Theppotsavam (Float Festival), held annually in January or February. The brightly lit, flower-decked floats carrying deities Meenakshi and Sundareswarar glide across the water, attracting devotees and tourists alike.

The restaurant’s proximity to the Meenakshi Temple makes it a convenient stop for pilgrims and tourists alike. While the food is often lauded, some patrons have noted areas for improvement in service and cleanliness. Overall, Murugan Idli Shop offers a quintessential Madurai dining experience, especially for those seeking traditional tiffin fare.

I tried the ghee podi idli, onion uttapam, the masala dosa, vadai and also the ghee halwa. I’d say the ghee podi idli is a must try and cannot be missed. The idli was soft and delicious. The dosa and uttapam were decent as well. The ghee halwa is sweet and sticky, a good way to finish the meal. They serve these with three types of chutney, along with the traditional coconut chutney and sambar. The bad parts for me were that my vadai was raw on one side which was disappointing. The cleanliness of the floor could also be better. Worth a try if you’re in Madurai.

One of the best south indian places I've gone to. The podi idli and dosa were just 👌. I didn't like the jigarthanda very much but that's personal preference. Service was awesome, ambience was also great. I ordered through zomato too and it was brilliant even when cold. A bit on the expensive side though.
Madhav — Google review
Ordered their signature ghee podi idli & normal idli, with filter coffee . Their podi idli was excellent with ghee and spicy podi flavor. Their complimentary chutnies were excellent and little spicy. Must try Madurai 's Famous JigarThanda from murugan Idli. It was excellent. Filter coffee was excellent. All chutnies were excellent. service was bit delayed, Card payments accepted. The main Issue if you are going is there is no car parking , we tried a lot to get a car parking at-last parked the car near a temple and paid 100 rs for car parking. The management should find a solution for this. so plan accordingly.
AASHIQ N — Google review
Had breakfast here with my family and the experience was good overall. We tried idli, dosa, uthappam, vada, and jigarthanda – all of them were tasty and of good quality, though the prices were slightly on the higher side. Their special chutney was flavorful, and the podi idli and podi dosa were the highlights. The place was neat and clean with good service. Jigarthanda was also nice, but it’s prepared outside and served only after billing, which makes it inconvenient to order as a dessert after the meal.

Chettinad restaurant
Indian restaurant
Kumar Mess is a popular Chettinad food restaurant that originated in Madurai and expanded to Chennai in 2015, with multiple branches across the city. It is renowned for its authentic Madurai cuisine, particularly non-vegetarian dishes.
Dropped into Kumar Mess today and left happily full. The Mutton Masala Dosa was crisp with a bold, meaty bite; the crab Laaba was rich and finger-licking; Lemon Soda bright and refreshing. Service was fast and efficient. Prices feel a bit high, but the flavours, freshness, and overall experience make it worth the stop.
Govind S — Google review
The chicken biryani was good and the quantity was decent. The chukka and the mutton kola are definitely worth a try, but the quantity is less for the price. They give the dishes with a mutton kolambu which is spicy and flavourful. The food comes quick and the restaurant was hygienic. It can get very crowded during lunch hour. I was a little disappointed with the service as there were a few issues.
Dev S — Google review
The food in Kumar Mess was like… I don’t even know what they trying to do. I ordered veg meals and non veg meals and both taste so bad I was actually confused which one is supposed to be better. Veg meals was like boiled sadness and the non veg meals had many items but all of them somehow manage to be bland at the same time. How they do that, I have no idea. Also the price is like they think they are serving some 5-star feast but actually it’s not even 1-star taste. Over priced to the maximum. So many non veg items but zero flavour, zero excitement, zero anything. Honestly not worth the money or the time or the chewing effort.
Srinath S — Google review
Such a terrible pathetic restaurant !! 😒 1) They dont give APPALAM for non-veg meals even if u wanted to pay for it. They said its only for veg meals. 2) Only 2 side dish for meals. Valakai & pumpkin. Pumpkin was too sweet, not suitable for rice. 3) Quantity was very less. Like 2 tablespoon per dish you order. So u pay around rs300 for 2 tablespoon of dish u order. Not worth it. 3) NO other sweets or tokku or payasam for the meal. 4) Taste was VERY BLAND AND WATERY. I was wondering how could they make gravies this watery. 5) Boti sama kevalama iruku. Ivlo kevalama saptathey illa. JUST GO EAT IN A GOOD HOTEL, THIS IS NOT WORTH YOUR ENERGY OR MONEY.

This place is well kept, it's neat and welcoming. They have a quick service and good staff. Mutton biriyani and kola are something which should be tried from here. For me both did justice to the price tag and it tastes good. The chicken biriyani is expensive for its small quantity and the mutton chukka has less quantity for the price. However, I still feel this place is not to be missed as the mutton dishes do justice to your Palate.
Govind S — Google review
The meals to my surprise was all veg dishes, you need to order nv dishes separately. you have no non veg meals option if you want to eat something light. They do give 3-4 gravy along with meal, mostly so so exception was the mutton gravy. Palatable, good for one time lunch. Doesn't live to the hype though.
Venkatesh R — Google review
I absolutely love the mutton biryani over here, I love the portion size & the succulent meat. The other non veg options are sometimes a hit or a miss, we tried the prawns pepper fry & it was okayish, could have been better. The service was quick.

Worst experience of my life! Very bad taste — the biryani had no spice and wasn’t cooked well. No AC, and they still charged GST even though customers said not to — total scam! They served 4 pieces of “rabbit chicken” — we thought it was normal chicken at first, but later they said it was rabbit! What the hell! They charged ₹350 — way too expensive for such tasteless food. Totally a waste of time and money.

Everything was slightly above average in taste but nothing worth getting excited for. Expected the famous crab omelette to have more crabmeat or at least more taste but both were lacking. Rest of the food was just very okay. Saving grace was service which was very attentive and generous. May pass on this next time.

Overall another disappointing experience from a popular restaurant. My friends dined in at the place and got me a parcel of plain biriyani and mutton chukka. Plain biriyani was decent enough with a unique flavour I’ve never had before. There were lots of nitpicky things while eating which was irritable. Mutton chukka was one of the worst I’ve had which was way too oily and it got me cloyed after a point. Initially I thought the tiniest container in which it was packed to be gravy for the biriyani before my friends confirmed it has the chukka itself 😂. And the feedback for dine-in was that most of the dishes were below average. Especially the mutton brian fry was inedible and raw. Heard kudal fry was the only good dish. Service was poor with expectation for a tip. Prices are on the steeper side.

The food was by far the best out of any mess hall in Madurai. Possibly one of the best chettinad style cuisine restaurants in the world. The delicious food is complimented by the extremely attentive service. There was someone to get us whatever we needed at any given time. I could not recommend a restaurant more. Just go here and eat what they recommend to you.

Visited this place in Madurai for lunch and went for the nonveg meal. The fish fry, brain fry, and suvarotti were all well prepared and flavourful. A satisfying experience overall.

Vegetarian restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Hotel Sree Sabarees- Veg Restaurant is a well-known dining spot in Madurai, offering a diverse selection of Indian and Asian vegetarian dishes. Conveniently located in College House, it provides options for takeout, seating, and street parking. Accepted payment methods include Mastercard, Visa, and credit cards. The restaurant is popular for its tasty and fresh South Indian cuisine, with standout dishes like Pongal and ghee podu dosa.
We stayed nearby and dropped in for dinner 🙂. The place was quite busy but we got seated quickly 👍. Idli – Simple and good, no complaints! Ghee Idli – Same as above, tasty 😋. Veg Kothu Parotta – Hot and flavorful, though the beans felt a bit undercooked. Veg Omelette – Meh 🤷, more like a dosa than an omelette. Overall, a nice spot for decent food 🍽️.

Probably the best place around the city to have South Indian veg food. Really great food served by professional staff on banana leaf. The price is unbelievably low. We were visiting Meenakshi Amman temple and wanted a veg meal before we go for darshan. Our hotel staff suggested this hotel. I can't thank him enough. I liked the food so much I forgot to take pictures of the food, a rare thing for me to be honest.

We visited Madurai in October 2025, and after our homestay host and others highly recommended Shree Sabaris, we were so impressed that we ended up having all our meals here throughout our entire trip! 🍽️ Food Highlights Mini Tiffin (Must-Try Breakfast): This is absolutely essential. We visited during peak hours (9-10 AM), and the tiffin—which includes Pongal (perfectly made with a generous amount of ghee), Dosa, Poori, Idli and Vada—was served piping hot and was incredibly delicious. It was a generous portion, definitely enough to fuel a day of sightseeing. Pro Tip: We noticed the food was freshest and hottest between 9-10 AM. When we visited later (10-11 AM), the taste was still excellent, but it wasn't quite as hot. Lunch (South Indian Meals): A solid and satisfying traditional meal. The spread of rice, sambar, rasam, papadam, payasam and vegetables was fresh and flavorful. Note: extra papadam and payasam are available for a small additional charge (around ₹5-₹10). Dinner: We enjoyed the Parotta and Dosa with Vadacurry—it was a great, classic South Indian dinner, consistent in quality with other good restaurants. 🙋‍♂️ Service & Atmosphere The staff here are truly wonderful. They were friendly and highly attentive, managing to serve every customer efficiently and with a smile, even during the busiest hours. Location: 5Min walk from station, easy to identify. NOTE: Their are lots of Shree sabarish, we have attached photo of one we went.

Visited sree sabarees vegetarian restaurant recently. The food was really good — flavorful and satisfying. The service was neat and efficient, which added to the overall experience. However, the place was quite crowded, which made it a bit noisy and harder to find a seat. Still, definitely worth a visit for the taste alone! Parking was a bit difficult. Must try there Meals in afternoon it was awesome 👌. Service is excellent.

Visited here during my Madurai trip. It’s good restaurant with good quality of food. You can try south India dishes and also you can get good north Indian food as well. Mostly crowded but you can get table quickly as their service is fast.

The Banyan Restaurant is a warm and inviting buffet restaurant with a spacious dining area and a charming outdoor terrace. Situated in various locations including Madurai, Hosur, and Tiruppur, this restaurant offers tasty and generous portions of food. If you're visiting Madurai, The Banyan Restaurant is a must-visit for those who enjoy exploring different fine dining options.
The two days we stayed at this beautiful property, we got to sample their daily spread of fabulous buffet breakfast at The Banyan, that has both indoor & outdoor seating while the spread’s all inside. The food was no doubt fabulous but it was the service that amplified the whole experience. Day 1 we had the vegetarian selections from Southern & Northern India, be it the unique idlis, the poori subzi, the fresh hot ghee roasts from the live counter, everything was just perfect. With all those chutneys the dosa and idli was wonderful. Especially the Kara chutney that was spicy and tangy, just the right bit. The coconut chutney could have been a little more fresher, but overall thumbs up for Day 1 breakfast. Day 2 we had an early start so headed to check the selections which were similar but different variants were available to ensure that we get to try several options during our stay. The continental selections of grilled chicken wasn’t great, and the sausages were good, but we were delighted when one of the staff making and pouring coffee on the spot at the table offered my daughter, and gave few options like boost or bournvita. When my daughter politely refused, any, she said if she can get a hot chocolate, which was happily agreed by my daughter and we were happy that she got something that we least expected here. This summed our overall experience at The Banyan, a delightful one, hoping to visit soon. Do check them out for their fabulous spread irrespective of whether you stay at the property or not. #apjprecommends

Good multi cuisine restaurant with the Heritage hotels at Madurai. The buffet spread are very good covering wide varieties of items for both dinner and lunch. They have both indoor and outdoor dining area with recreation activities during weekend dinners. They have very good variety of vegetarian spread in the buffet spread. Ambiance is very good. Service by the staff is extraordinary especially Mr Jothiswaran. Mr Pakiyaraj made arrangements for the birthday celebrations and table reservations as per our request.

We came just to the restaurant. We were made very welcome by Monica and Rakesh. The food was very good , excellent quality. We had some left over and asked for doggy bag, it was no problem . I sincerely recommend this restaurant for good food and excellent friendly reception and service.

Taste-wise, the food is fine, but the service is a major issue(lol it's a five star on paper ). Expect long waits (10-15 minutes) for buffet items to be refilled and for table orders, as the staff's attention seems to heavily favor non-Indian, white-skinned guests. Non-vegetarians have slightly better options than vegetarians. Staff should prioritize customer service over processing payments. Tip: Sit outside, as the inside dining area is uncomfortably warm. Only one baby chair for entire restaurant!

We had lunch and dinner in this restaurant and even though they also had buffet options we preferred to order a la carte. The buffet was their main focus and a la carte orders took 30-40min but it was okay to wait in this lovely place with birds signing on the surrounding trees. However, I ordered Mutter paneer for lunch and Subzi Diwani Handi for dinner and both were quite bland and more interestingly they tasted very much the same. Naans are okay but not the best I have had on my trip. Western food is good. Service is very professional.

Absolutely worth the experience. Mr. Rakesh — 'The Service Person' was so down to earth, had great communication skills, a lot of patience to handle everything under pressure. Mr. Jeyandra — 'The Chef' was brilliant. The food: Starters, Main Course Desserts... Everything was exceptional good. Mutton Dum Biriyani is a must-have!!! Thank you for this wholesome experience.
