We stayed one night at the Fortune Pandiyan Hotel and I have to say, we were truly impressed. The hotel is quite old (built in 1968), but it’s in excellent condition — very well-maintained and clean. The food (we had both dinner and breakfast) was fantastic, and we are quite particular when it comes to food! At breakfast we had one of the best coffees we’ve ever had during our trips to India. What stood out the most however, was the outstanding service. From check-in to check-out everything was absolutely top-notch — friendly, attentive, and professional. Special shoutout to the reception and the dinner/breakfast service teams — they really made our stay exceptional.

Recently joined their summer swimming camp. When they take for admission, they told they will teach professional level and at the end of the training, we can swim confidently. First two weeks they taught the basics and after that they not even taught rest of the techniques. Now the course is about to end, but my son knows only 50 percentage of the technique. Even after the complaint, they didn’t take any further action. All my complaint went to deaf ears. I didn’t expect Pandiyan hotel will do this kind of cheating. Just for 15K, they are loosing reputation.

Our stay at Fortune Pandiyan at Madurai was fantastic.....way beyond our expectations. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and always wearing a smile. That made us feel welcome and warm. The check In staff was very quick and efficient....super smooth The breakfast had a fantastic spread. Was really impressed with the health drink section (bitter gourd juice, beet root, soaked almond, soaked Fenugreek seeds among others). Would like a special mention of Anusiya who had a very warm persona. Also a shout out to Chef Ajmal for the tasty breakfast. Overall great experience.

We went to Madurai on my Husband’s birthday and it was a last minute booking. We travelled with our two kids.On arrival they served us Panagam. At reception the check in was smooth and staffs treated us to be feel like home. During our conversation I mentioned them about our visit is because of his Birthday. Once we went out to the temple and returned we were surprised by a birthday cake at room. That was a kind gesture from their end. Cake tasted really good. Apart from this our stay was pleasant. Food was really good. We really enjoyed our stay there. Thanks people.

We had a lovely stay at their hotel from 14th to 16th April. Location - It is conveniently located and it takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Meenakshi temple. Room and Amenities - We stayed in a Fortune Club room and it offers a city view. The room was good and had all the basic amenities in place.They have a lovely garden overlooking their breakfast area with lots of greenery and some birds. Housekeeping - Excellent. They are really quick to accommodate any kind of request and very polite. They take care of every little things while cleaning or delivering water etc to the room. Food - Breakfast had a decent buffet spread and the dishes were prepared really well. All their restaurant staff were warm and hospitable. Their chefs used to come to our table to interact and take any special requests. Our 2 year old also enjoyed their food and hospitality. Special mention to their Pongal and Moong dal dosa which were prepared to perfection. We had ala carte dinner once and it was very homely and tasty. Top notch quality food and services overall! Front Desk - Very helpful and prompt in their service. Their check in and check out process was quick enough and they were very warm and hospitable . Overall we loved the stay.

A2b are waste at nowadays.Came to madurai for visiting temples and decided to have a lunch at A2B.I ordered meals which is 160 that is limited meals.In this branch has no special south indian meals.And the service was very poor not proper working to the table.Ambience was good it has 2 floor.Ground floor had tiffin and snacks.First floor had meals and related to it.It is located near vilakuthoon.

I don’t want to be rude but if you are sitting and eating on the table and you keep your bag on an empty chair that belongs to you then people should understand that. The person asked us to put the bag down on the floor but the floor was too dirty. We couldn’t put the bag on our laps as it was way too big for that due to close sitting arrangements. We could barely get up having no space between chairs. One female forcefully sat opposite to us while we were eating so we finally decided to get up and leave. The employee told her to sit forcefully. There is no system. We were also waiting outside for people to finish so we could grab a table and eat, why do people have to behave as if it’s the end of the world. Maybe it’s normal here but usually never happened with us before. Food was average and we never visited again after this. Employees look at you like you should eat and get out quickly. Food is meant to have with love and peace but this place just care about money making. Good luck to the owner.

Had filter coffee at this restaurant and it was really good. The milk was creamy and the coffee had good flavor. They have nice seating area and air conditioning. Update

No specialized south Indian dishes. Service is so slow that you'll have to run from pillar to post and chase the waiters yourself to even get menu, place order and get the food. By the time, the order shall arrive, in almost certainty your appetite shall be killed. And they will spoil the food and smile shamelessly after that.

Traditional A2B, we had South Indian Thali. Items should have been better. Ground floor offer breakfast, Sweets section. 1st floor has dine-in for lunch/dinner. Visit early to avoid waiting and rush. When we went for lunch at 12pm, no one was there but got crowded later on!

Gud in all . Taste , ambience is gud. Customer service by kavya is amazing. Except they charge rs.10 for appalam for kids is really disgusting. Many restaurants provide free food for kid aged under 5. But all others are OK.

Location of the hotel is good with ample parking. The property is very old & it is quite visible in every corner. Few things look very shabby & are screaming for maintenace ( we stayed in Room No 106) The biggest disappointment was non-readiness of the rooms. We reached the hotel at 10 PM whereas our reservation was from 2 PM onwards but yet the rooms were not ready. My old parents & small kids had no other option but to wait for full 1 hour to get the rooms. Not sure, if this was one such situation yesterday or it happens everyday. Buffet dinner is quite expensive & is charged as 900+tax. Buffet breakfast was also not too pleasing especially North Indians will not find it too good. Sambhar prepared on 28/01 had too high salt & Omalette were too oily. All in all, one should search for better options if available in the same budget.

No hygiene at all. Worst experience ever. No basic sanitation. Fungus on bathroom walls. Pillow covers look like they have not been washed since months. Breakfast is ok but dinner experience was very bad. They charged 5000 for such very poor quality rooms.

Germanus, once a luxurious hotel, has lost its sheen and glory. Staff service is pathetically slow. Room service and housekeeping staff are very lethargic. Food is not that good. Breakfast buffet was not palatable at all. Not even the eggs were cooked to order. Overall experience was quite disappointing.

It was my worst stay at any hotel in my life. The room was dirty, furniture,table, side tables all were in shabby condition. AC WAS LIKE OUTDATED fixtures fittings are also old type. The electric board near the side table was loose.There was leakage in the washroom, towels were dirty and there were smells, provided only one dental kit despite requests for two,only one plastic tumbler was provided, service poor, room and washroom unhygienic, nobody was there to help. Breakfast was also not up to MARK, and worst are the attendants at the dining area. Very DISAPPOINTED, IF POSSIBLE I WOULD HAVE GIVEN RATINGS IN MINUS. IF POSSIBLE AVOID STAYING IN THIS SHITTY HOTEL. WORST They CHARGED 5600/- FOR THIS TORTURE.

Location is at the main area of the city and there is on-site parking. Rooms are maintained neatly without any doubt. Restaurants and tea shops are at a walkable distance. Had a great stay.

Good Ambiance and comfortable seating. I ordered cafe mocha, creamy mushroom and teriyaki paneer bowl. All the dishes were exceptional and tasted good. Mr Pradeep kumar was very courteous and assisted us with all the dishes.

My favorite place for cake , we are vegetarian everyyear when we order Eggless cakes they handle it with care . Particularly I like Annnagar outlet staffs are kind , well behaved. I use to tell so much of customization but they listen to me with patience and making it happen. My friends family everyone likes the design and taste .

I recently visited Puppy's Bakery in Anna Nagar and had an amazing experience! Had a fantastic experience at Puppy's! We had ordered butter garlic prawns. We felt the prawns were a little undercooked to our liking and hence asked if it could be tossed a little longer . They generously re-did the whole dish and gave it to us in a perfect state ! .. also ordered the marry me chicken and loved every bite of it !would definitely recommend ❤️

Short time ago, I tried the Tiramisu cake from Puppys bakery, it was absolutely luscious! The flavor was rich and perfectly balanced, with the right amount of sweetness. The texture was light and moist, making each bite feel like a little piece of heaven. Rich and creamy, I highly recommend this cake to anyone who loves coffee-flavor. It’s now officially my favorite cake. If you are a fan of mushroom, this roll is a must try. Overall, a tasty and well executed dish.

Room and washroom were clean. The receptionist was kind enough to extend the stay for an hour for us. Bedding can be better. No bed sheets and towels provided.

On my recent trip to Madurai wanted a budget stay. Opted Hotel Taj with mixed thoughts since for all budget stays near the temple the reviews were confusing. To my delight the place is really clean, close to the temples and the all prime locations. The terrace gives view to the Vishnu temple and is merely 5 mins walk away. Staff is good and responds well to requests. Bedsheets can be cleaner as the one we had was washed but had oul stains. Bathroom was very clear too. Good option to opt if u are looking for a short budget stay option.

Pros 1. Located at the heart of the city and easily accessible from Periyar Bus Terminal 2. The room has a large mirror facing your bed 3. 24 Hours check out Cons 1. No safety for your belongings as the door has a lock in a very insecure way. 2.The bedsheet on the bed is so dirty. You need to beg the room service to change the sheet. Still they don't change as they may cover up with some other sheets 3. Intercom is not working to call reception. You will be asked to use your personal mobile to call reception. 4. They don't provide remote control for the A/C in rooms 5. A water mug or jar is not there to keep drinking water as they provide some water in a used water bottle. That was used by someone. 5. Bath towel is provided only on demand 6. No bathing kit in the bathroom ( paste, brush, lotion etc..) 7. Bad smell (Cigrette) in the bedroom I never recommend this hotel to anyone

We ordered a butterscotch cake for my daughter's birthday... they haven't kept the cake in the fridge for a long time... it was like a normal butter cake... not worth for the 1500rs we gave them... they were supposed to deliver the cake by 11 but delayed the delivery also... unprofessional in all aspects... planned to cut the cake there but at the last minute we were not allowed to do that also... on the whole... simply waste of money and our valuable time

Be very carefull while ordering the customised cake. They will not deliver properly as we ask and will ruin our special day. Better record or make them write everything in bill about the customization and do not pay them upfront for the cake untill it is delivered as we ask. They will do their best to put a blame on us by making the changes on the cake design without asking our permission. I did a big mistake ordering from them.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the tiramisu Cake from black forest, it was absolutely so tasty! The cake was incredibly moist, with a rich, deep cocoa flavor that wasn’t overly sweet. The layers were perfectly balanced with a silky smooth ganache that melted in the mouth... thank you 😊

See I bought a coffee cake yesterday actually it was a chocolate cake with a sprinkle of coffee and the cream was not that good on the quality wise and the positive side is cake was good looking but the taste was heart breaking

To Mr. Pandian, the manager of Jayaram bakery and sweets, Madurai. Disgusting unclean contaminated food riddled with cockroaches ground and mushed up into the food. I bought a few items from your store a few days back and was shocked to find there's a cockroach and a few black bits and pieces of insects in one of your products (milk halwa) While i brought this to your attention, you apologized and mentioned to me that you will compensate for your centralized kitchen staff's reckless behaviour as this is not how they were trained to be negligent. You promised us that you will deliver something clean of our choice for this poor experience and to compensate for our loss. However we learned that this is just an empty promise from your part as you had no intention of actually rectifying anything. I don't think you take food contamination and safety regulation issues seriously. I want to warn others who would encounter such food malpractice that trust your restaurant and order from you, possibly saving them from any food bourne illness such as salmonellosis, typhoid, listeriosis, campylobacteriosis to name a few. I still have the contaminated product that you sold us for any references anyone might need, possibly the health department if need be.

We visited many times to k.pudur outlet .staff in chief receive cordially.other staff politely reply for all our queries.cake sweet and other items are comparitively priced and fresh enough to consume.like all their dishes.our experience with k.pudur branch is about 20 years (since 1998 the year of imception in this place) i wish jeyaram to introduce more varities of bakery items like french loaf etc .all the best

Poor hospitality and rude staff a few days back, my dad and I went to place an order of sweets to be taken abroad and the staff responded harshly that all the sweets will be available everyday and we don't have to pre order. Today, we went and enquired but the staff was way more rude and said there are no sweets available. -_-

I ordered macaroons from here and there was a hair in it. Absolutely disgusting. What kind of place serves food with hair in it? This is unacceptable. I want my money back. There are kids in my home — what if they had eaten it? Families trust you to deliver safe food, and this is the quality you give us? You take our money and give us this kind of filthy food? But when I ordered the food and started tasting them it was totally opposite, the food was really really yummy... I ordered birthday cake 1 day before they said to collect 4 pm I called they said come by 5 pm I came to collect by 5 pm finally I got the one birthay by 7 pm i waited for 2 hours to get cake at last they a big surprise by packing birthaycake along with one alive fly insect when I open the box inside my home fly started flying then I threw that cake to the dust bin I had a horrible experience in that bakery.

I have their customer right from 2011.. My family from Chennai never have gone without visiting here when they come to meet me. They authenticity and flavour and varities are their uniqueness... Their mojitos are their speciality. Recent additions of pastas and soups are even more to say about... Simply they are fantabulous and must place to visit frequently. Worth the money.

Good spot for quick snacks, you can spend some quality time. It's located bit away from city. There is small play area for kids. The only problem here is there are lot of mosquitoes in open area

staff's are less responsive to customers. Quality and portions are now improved as it was on earlier days(comparing it before 5YEARS quality). Pastry shop at pandiyan hotel is best place for cakes.

I would say just "not bad"! Recently ordered a customized white forest cake. It looked so attractive and festive. But later realised that the appearances were deceiving. After few munches, I concluded that the crust tasted like as if it was made from chewing gum and moreover the inner white forest weren't fresh and tasted really bad.

My favourite fresh cream cake spot at Anna nagar, Madurai. Pleasant customer care, easy to locate, reasonable pricing, excellent presentation of pastries and cakes. And one of the best in Madurai when it comes to taste. Their rainbow pastry and blueberry pastry is must to try. They care for their customers and be clear if they cannot do as per our requirements, instead of taking the order and disappointing.

A tiny but decent spot for a quick bite. Not suitable for groups as the space is limited. Pastries, pizzas and other quick for cheap rates. They also provide special occasion custom cakes made on request. I had a chocolate pastry which tasted good. I was disappointed that they don't provide hot beverages being cafe-like. But they do provide bottled cold drinks. It was not crowded so it was quite and peaceful. The staff was professional and courteous.

Rajabarley itself is a close to heart place for almost all madurains from childhood for the biscuits, cookies and cake. Main appreciation to them is the upgrade they have done based on the requirement instead of sticking to basics. From Cakes to cookies all bakeries items are upto Date in top quality available in bread and brown also some pasta, sandwich and other sides which will satisfy your craving and quick bites. Must try their puffs, mini samosa and almost all cakes tasted well.

My opinion, could be improved on taste for this price. 1. The Very Normal Taste. 2. The sandwich had too much filling, which overpowered its taste. 3. The price range of ₹150-250 for a single sandwich is too high.

I purchased a 5kg birthday cake for ₹4500 from Raja Barley Bypass Road, Madurai branch, mainly trusting the brand name. Unfortunately, the cake did not meet my expectations in terms of cleanliness and quality. It was quite disappointing for the price paid. I hope the team looks into this and improves the standards in the future.

Tasty food. We ordered Madurai Special Pizza and it was good with authentic street-style Madurai kari dosa masala. Also, we ate garlic bread, nuggets, and cakes. All of them are good. The place is hygiene and good ambiance.
