Definitely the most important landmark of the city and most likely one of the most of northern Spain and Spain itself you’ll get not only immerse at the ancient story of this place, but also in a great views of the whole city and the ocean this place is amazing very well conserved and the tickets were actually very affordable. No doubt you should make this one of her stops my wife and I visit this during the morning and it was very affordable. The climb is moderate hard, bring, of course comfortable clothes and shoes it takes 15 minutes to 20 minutes climbing stairs to get up there, but you can rest up there enjoying a great views just heads up. Be careful of people asking for money in the parking lot. Just stay away if you can get there by public transit better.
Ticket boot is placed far away from the tower, so if you're coming a different way (from beach) you're going to miss it and you cannot enter. Online tickets are sold out as a rule. Anyway you can walk around and enjoy the wind from the ocean 🌊
We visited as part of a cruise stop in August. It's Worth being driven to the foot as its an uphill walk. The views get amazing with each step but it does require some exertion. If you want to see the roman ruins inside you need to book tickets. They are not sold at the entry so best check online. If you're tall, you will not be able to walk up straight in some areas but the lightening is good and artefacts are well labeled. There are stone stairs, at least 200, leading to the top of the tower which has even more majestic views. I advise pacing yourself and not being in a hurry to enjoy it fully and take time to catch your breath. Unless you're fit, don't have kids or the elderly with you. If you're claustrophobic this is not for you. Would highly recommend and would revisit at a more leisurely pace in the future. Don't forget to buy the tickets before arriving! You will certainly get your step count in!
A spectacular feat of engineering of it's day, understanding the strategic and commercial importance of why it was built is a story in itself. Entry is by ticket purchased at the bottom of the long ramp or on line. Entry is every 30 minutes for a limited number of people ( perhaps 30) there is no one to hurry you and you could stay longer. There is an exhibition of it's history at the lower level then 234 steps (and no lift ;-) ). My only constructive criticism is that the information boards are poorly placed and not illuminated. I couldn't manage to read many of them.
I would highly recommend you to purchase tickets online. We got here at 2 o'clock and there was no line, and there was nobody here, but they refused to sell tickets, it is a beautiful place. It could be a wonderful sunset. It's a wonderful place to walk around lots to see just to the south, there's more stuff to see if you continue to walk down the boardwalk, I would suggest you be prepared to walk a long way up a hill, if you do not. Have the right shoes nor or have the ability to do so I would think twice about going there. It offers wonderful. It's sunset photos as well as evening photos at night with the lights during the day. They sell ice cream and drinks at night. There is nothing there. There's plenty of parking down on the bottom. And it appears that you can drive up the ramp, if you're handicapped, it does it appear that there is parking but I did see cars parking up there. On the hill, by the door.
The Torre de Hércules is more than a lighthouse — it’s a symbol of A Coruña’s identity. Visiting it is like stepping back in time, while enjoying some of the most spectacular views in Galicia. An absolute must-see for anyone coming to this beautiful coastal city
Torre de Hercules was such an amazing place to visit! The family had so much fun exploring the grounds. The views were amazing!
The Torre de Hércules in A Coruña is seriously impressive—it’s actually the oldest working lighthouse in the world, dating back nearly 2,000 years to Roman times. Even without going inside, just walking around it is worth the visit. The views of the sea and the city from the cliffs nearby are absolutely stunning. It’s the kind of place where you can just stand and take it all in for a while. There’s a nice open feel to the area, and the mix of history and ocean makes it a really memorable stop.

The best views of La Coruña! Nice and relaxing place to walk, rest, meditate or just enjoy the view
Organised coach short tour via our cruise company, experienced local guide, font of knowledge, included visit to this park with on site restaurant/wedding venue; well looked after with tasty examples of tapas, tea/coffee & glass of wine. Great views of the city and its harbours, plus our cruise ship, in the middle distance.
We visited the park on a trip from our cruise ship. It was a miserable day, so unfortunately we didn't get many good views. But I can appreciate that in sunshine it would look pretty nice.
I had a very nice time exploring the landscapes and views of this area. I didn’t go to the botanical gardens. The views are outstanding
Highly recommended for the beautiful views and photo ops. A must for new visitors to Coruña, especially if enjoying a sunny and bright day.
Wonderful place with spectacular year views of the city and the ocean. And lots of history.
best view on A Coruña and the ocean, worth a visit when in town
Beautiful park with gorgeous views! Definitely check out the bush maze and the cúpula which has additional pretty vistas and also an interactive map you can spin. A must visit for anyone visiting La Coruña!

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Indoor & outdoor pools for fish, sharks, seals & rays in an aquarium with interactive exhibits.
Slide 1 of 8
Nice trip around the aquarium. Interactive for children. Highlight was staff feeding the 10? seals at 12 noon. Nautilus downstairs was interesting too, a 360 degrees panorama of fish tank. We also spotted some cleaning going on, as in photo..
Lovely visit to to Aquarium Finsterrae entrance was €10.30 per adult. Highlight of the Aquarium was the seals, several tanks featuring various species. Also on site is a gift shop. Staff were helpful and bi lingual so for the English among us there's no problem communicating. Location is easy to walk from Hercules Tower. Thankyou to the staff that made us feel so welcome.
Well worth a visit Fantastic value for money. Bargain Great Aquarium, great outdoor with Seals and the fish A lot bigger than what you think Very tidy Great shop Staff fantastic We went from cruise ship , easy to walk to.
Beautiful aquarium. It’s mostly in Spanish for those non-Spanish speakers. The exhibits are top notch and so educational. The marine life are varied. It’s a must see. Ask how the got their name!
Nice aquarium with outdoor attraction of seals (only feeding and spain talk about them). Inside there are nice aqariums and many talking about fishes and sea But in spain only - no english. Ticket was fine price (family 28€) and you can pay by card.
Great place to visit good value for money, only downside is there isn't much English translation mostly everything is in Spanish
came here as a kid, around 15 years ago, and a lot has changed, some for the better, some for the worse, now they have got seals, which are super cute and seem happy enough, a lot of new exhibits and animals, but at the same time, less diversity in the big tanks, only one shark, some leaks and many computers and things you should be able to interact with that don't work or are incomplete. I still recommend the experience, especially for little kids or for people who enjoy sea life, I just hope they fix it up and add more sharks, like when I was a kid.
The Aquarium Finisterrae was impressively clean and well-maintained. All the fish appeared healthy and vibrant, swimming energetically in their tanks. The informational signs were thorough and engaging, providing valuable insights about the various species on display. Although the aquarium is relatively small, it offered a rich experience, showcasing a diverse range of marine life and creating an immersive environment for visitors.

Spectacular beach in the heart of A Coruña with amazing views. There is a maritime walk from one end to the other (it is the longest one in Europe). There are several areas of the beach that are near rough seas (good for surfing, though). There is a flag system that alerts you to which areas are safe. There are several ways to access the beach, none are wheelchair friendly. Dogs are not allowed in the summer outside of early morning or late afternoon hours.
Nice beach, good views and very clean
Shingle beach but quite nice. Right next to the football stadium. Few nice bars along the beach.
Beautiful beach, friendly birds too! (Or maybe they were after my snacks 👀)
My favourite Beach in the area The beach of Praia de Riazor is a great beach. It has some of the nicest and most spectacular views and the vision of the bay shape is great. It is in the heart of la Coruña so very convenient to go the the shops or restaurants. Beautiful and extremely scenic!

I highly recommend to visit this small, but unique castle- museum. The entrance fee is less than 2 euro, but this ia a case, where a small , but unique collection of museum exhibits impresses more and us remembered better than a vast exhibition in a huge museum
This was the main castle that defended the port city of A Coruña. It's very well maintained and includes a good museum. It's definitely worth a visit.
The castle has a very interesting museum inside the tickets are only 2 Euros, 1 if you are over 65 years old. From the top of the building there are great views of the bay
Great place to start your afternoon. Parking was a little tough.Has a great view very well maintained, very clean, great museum inside bathrooms are very cleanThere's no food or drink, so if you want to get something you need to take it with you water etc it's close to the tower, but too far to walk great place to visit
A great orientation from pre-civilization to recent history of the area. Worth the low entrance fee.
Excellent fortress turned museum right on the maritime walk in A Coruña! Beautiful views once you reach the top. There are very interesting artifacts inside as well (including an old viking ship). Don't miss the area where the water fills up with the tide. We were told it was once used as a torture chamber for prisoners.
Entrance is €2 per person so it would be worth it even if it were empty walls. But it's not just empty walls, it's an archeology museum with quite a few things to see and the views are really nice. If you're here, don't think about it, just go in. Recommendation to management: all the writings are in Galician and Spanish only. It would be great to have them in English as well so that us international visitors can learn about your history too.
A short walk from the lovely cruise terminal, this castle also doubles up as an archaeological museum and houses a lot of military and other artifacts unearthed from the nearby area. The castle is a good wander and one can go to the top ramparts to enjoy a good view of the surrounding areas.

Slide 1 of 8
The welcoming staff at reception set the tone for this interactive museum that interestingly presents mankind. The museum is particularly geared up for younger visitors but even adults will discover a few new things. Great place to take kids, particularly if it's not beach weather outside. Well 👍 done.
This is a great place to go to fill your day if you have children, it's not for adults and can be very born for adults. It's more like family, friendly and for kids lots to see and do if you take kids, we'll probably take you at least 2 hours to walk through it. I want to play all the games enjoy
Small interactive science museum with some interesting exhibits. It was disappointing that many of the exhibit explanations are not translated in English, which made it challenging to fully understand. Also some of the interactive activities were not operational. However, the architectural design of the building and the views are absolutely impressive. It should not take you than 2 hours to complete.
Interesting to visit whether oldies or children. Lots of interactive exhibits. Most explanations were in Spanish and Galician sometimes English. No cafe just a few expensive machines. It looked like a restaurant was sometimes open. It was free when we went being a holiday.
Great place for people of all ages. The interactive games are fun and you learn a little. The selection of exhibits its fairly limited (hence only 4 stars) but the price is very reasonable and you definitely get your moneys worth. Staff are friendly
Very atmopheric with the audio visuals ..the views are splendid!! The gardens well maintained with great footpaths ..ate well at a pop up event for photography ..good coffee! Helpful staff and the views from the restaurant impressive!!
Fun museum with numerous interactive displays. Particularly enjoyed the first floor section on human intelligence and the games there, including some that can be done as a pair. A bit of an echo so can be extra loud if many children there but of course to be expected ! Temporary exhibit on food is interesting but some sections could be a trigger or upsetting for people with experience of eating disorders. The circle at the beginning of the museum has a showing of birthing videos. This is very interesting but may only be suitable for certain ages with explanations - that part is not for those are uneasy with the sight of blood.
It’s OK. Interactive, so that’s good for the kids but a lot of the installations didn’t work when we were there. It’s quite small so that’s either a good thing or a bad thing. There’s no café that we saw but they did have a vending machine. It says out of order, but it did actually work. Clean toilets. Nice staff. Only €2 each which is fair for what it is. But you can buy a pass which includes the aquarium up the road.

Stumbled across this by accident. We were in town on a cruise and decided to have a look. Loads of stuff to look at inside. Kept the family entertained for an hour. Thanks ✌🏻😎
Fantastic museum—well worth a visit! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. We spent 3–4 hours there. Not only did my 7-year-old daughter love all the interactive experiences, but we adults did too! It’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in a lovely setting. Another plus was the English translations throughout the museum.
Great place to take your children. There are lots of interactive attractions to investigate. The staff are great. Worth the visit
great for children, a lot to do, absolutely worth the €2 entry.
Very good. Lots of things to explore. Planetarium presentation only in Spanish
This was a really fun afternoon out. I was on my own but there was never a dull moment in the place as everything was interactive and explained a lot of concepts within physics. The explanation is all in Spanish and Galician and there isn't much English but that didn't really matter as the content was mainly visual/interactive.
The person on the desk didn' seems to be friendly. Planetarium tour is normally in allegory and not spanish.
A wonderful place for inventors and young scientists. We have received a lot of pleasure from visiting this center of science.

This place is fantástic, full of energy, very good to reviver... I advise you to visit.
Amazing place, nice people, good restaurants and accomodations in different category. The Langosteira is perfect to swim, there is a good walk to the lighthouse or discover the area. Sunset is breathtaking from the lighthouse or the beach.
For me as pilgrim this place was the last point on my route. As for ordinary guy it’s nice place to think about your life with ocean view. You can spend almost all the day on this place. If you’re lucky with the weather, wait the dawn
what a beautiful place to see the sunset
We arrived just before sunset. Very busy and there is hardly any parking. There was a strong wind and yet a spectacular sight
The seafood in the Village of Finistrre was some of the best ever. There were few people (Dec.2021). The coast was beautiful
How could anyone not fall in love with this area. This was our final place of our Camino de Santiago Way. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The people, the hospitality, the food, the scenery everything was just perfect .
I reached Cabo Fisterra on a motorbike from Sicily – the most extreme point of my journey and a deeply symbolic one, as this is considered one of the westernmost points in Europe. The scenery is breathtaking: dramatic cliffs, roaring waves, and a wind that makes you feel truly at the edge of the world. I clearly remember the emotion when I parked my motorbike near the lighthouse: after so many kilometers, it felt like I had reached something meaningful – a personal milestone. The silence, broken only by wind and sea, made me pause and reflect. It’s one of those places that stay with you. The Fisterra lighthouse, built in 1853, is both charming and iconic. From there, you can admire a spectacular view over the Atlantic Ocean. It also serves as a symbolic destination for many pilgrims who choose to continue the Camino de Santiago all the way to this "final stop." If you're visiting Galicia, don’t miss this place. For me, it was a key destination full of natural beauty and meaning. The sunset here is truly unforgettable.

Shopping
200 stores, plus a hotel & global home-goods retailer, make this big indoor mall a popular hangout.
Slide 1 of 8
Located in the small city of A Coruña, it is the largest shopping center in Galicia and is among the first in Spain. It has stores, with diffirent brands such as IKEA which is very big and offers nice things plus the coffee area where you can enjoy having snacks with your family , Decathlon, Media Markt , Leroy Merlin, Primark, H&M, Mango , the famous Zara and etc to enjoy shopping. It also has various leisure for your kids so you will never get bored when you bring them in this area. They have restaurants around like POPEYAS pizzerias and etc which is located at the top floor...plus you will not be having a problem parking your car because they have very spacious area underground.....A very small town yet with this shopping area its a wow
Such a great shopping centre with an enormous choice of goods. Loved the ZARA home in particular because it is like a picture book shop; so well designed and artistically arranged. Shame though, because of the virus some places had to shut down so it makes some areas look a bit empty.
Massive shopping complex that's not yet finished !
I came to Coruna for business purposes. I've been here for a few days. I found this place by searching the internet to meet my various needs. Its interior is quite spacious and does not bore the guests. It has stores that stock products of different brands as well as famous brands. Therefore, you can find very cheap but quality products. Unfortunately, as a tourist who does not speak Spanish or Welsh, the only difficulty I experienced was not being able to find anyone who could speak English at the orientation points or in communication. Despite this, I was able to achieve the things I wanted. Also, it would be really better if they added the opening hours of stores according to days to the information in Google Maps. There is no place open as of 11.30 on Sunday. It would be much better, especially for tourists, if information was shared in advance.
Nice and modern big shopping center close to the city. Good connections with the city center. Very clean and big parking space. All kind of restaurants and services.
Huge commercial area with a very wide variety of shops... including cinema, El corte Ingles, Leroy Merlin, Zara, an IKEA nearby and many more. Has free parking and a food court.
Fantastic shopping mall. Great places for shopping including IKEA, Decathlon, El Corte Ingles and Zara. Plenty of options for food and entertainment!
Huge mall with lots and lots of shops (200 according to the web). The top floor has restaurants, cinema and toilets. It would be nice to have toilets on every floor but that is not the case. The halls are wide and even though it was a busy day, it did not feel crowded. There are things to keep the kids busy, including a nice arcade on the top floor. Worth a visit whether you need something or not. the parking is HUGE and free. It could use more EV charging stations but hopefully they will add some to keep up with the times.

Only five minutes from the port this place is ideal to relax and just chill out.Plenty of tables and chairs set out in front of the cafe,an odd shaped building with plenty of staff to help out.Go inside and order,I recommend the beer and the crisps of course but other drinks available.
beautiful and well maintained gardens, a joy to walk around! many lovely statues and flower beds that are kept lovely with fresh soil and watered frequently. gorgeous area.
This park is spectacular. Old trees and beautiful buildings. Full of life for the kids playing and people walking around. Also this park host lots of event such the Feria del Libro o Feria de Artesanos.
Nice place for a stroll, short walk from the cruise terminal.
A clean and tidy city garden that had plenty of statues fountains and monuments. Large trees give midday shade and enough seating. A well cared for space. A credit to A Coruna.
Beautiful little park, a few minutes walk from the cruise port. Lots of benches to sit and while away a little time or look at the many statues with a coffee from the small cafe you can find near the entrance. Very clean WC there too.

If you are in for walking tourism, this is a place you must visit. You will like it. I did.
Temporary closed, even though Google refuses to update it. It lost most of the trees due to disease.
Nice little garden and house. Just a quick stop needed here.
Cute little garden in the old city. Great view on the harbor.
A quiet garden with a nice view. Also a little history as a British general is buried here.
A small garden overlooking the cruise terminal and part of the town. Also contains the monument to Sir John Moore.
Nice place to sit and let the world go by.
A very pretty and shady garden. It has a small "balcony" from which you can see the bay.

Can’t believe this place was free!!! Really fun experience and cool to see so many different inventions that made such an impact on the world. Only floor 1 was also in English so had to use google translate but it was fun trying to guess what the inventions were before we used it. We were there for just over an hour but could have easily done more if we went earlier. Really great for both adults and kids.
Had a very pleasant experience visiting this museum. Space and displays are well spaced out allowing flow and no bottlenecks. Well curated and organised. Majority of descriptions are in Spanish so used Google translate to understand the exhibits better. Staff were very helpful. Lockers are provided. A great place to visit and it's free. Recommend.
We really loved this museum, such a gem that you might expect to find in a big city, like Madrid or Barcelona (yet there is none like it), I guess that's why they've named it the National Museum of Science. Lots of interesting information for all ages! The building itself is modern, tall and beautiful (wheelchair friendly). Each floor has original pieces, cars, motorbikes, even a 747 airplane (clearly the star of the museum). You'll be shocked at the size of the first television! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about everything, information is clearly written (but only in Spanish). Google lens can translate what you don't understand. And best part, it's free!!
It's an amazing collection of things related to Science and Technology. A bit far from other parts of the city, but if interested should visit it. The access to the museum is free.
Free entry to this interesting science museum which displays technological advances decade by decade, theme by theme. It particularly showcases Spain's contribution to science, buy why shouldn't it, we are in Spain after all. Well worth a visit. Free parking in the streets around.
How free can it be, it's definitely an interesting place for children to see the progress of technology
One of the best science museums I’ve been to if not the best. Really interesting high quality exhibits. Well laid out. Highly recommend.
Very good museum, you will need translate on your phone to see everything if you can’t read Spanish, free entry is good, wasn’t very busy.

beautiful and interesting I recommend visiting it!
It was worth it to take a train ride from Santiago de Compostela for a day trip. Staff were there to answer questions and very helpful.
Lots of military artefacts and information as well as battlefield representations using models and graphics. There is also a section describing the history of the Torre de Hercules lighthouse with models of its transfirmations through the millenia
Absolutely fantastic, unspoilt by silly interactive nonsense, instead amazing models, firearms displays in chronological order, and other assorted items of interest. 10/10
Interesting items, but space feels dated. Needs an update.
Great free museum, lots of weapons and very friendly staff.
Amazing and free entering. Plus they sell some war gears at the doors. Some items are forbidden to sell in most of EU. Haha
Absolutely amazing place, the amount of things they have you can easily spend an afternoon looking around the museum.

Beautiful church and well preserved...
Beautiful Cathedral @aheartfortraveling #travel #Europe #everyone #@followers @highlight
very interesting gothic church, to be visited
This is a relatively simple church, refreshingly so after seeing many Baroque churches. Love the scale of it, the Romanesque arches and especially the Virgin, Child, and saints around the portico. They have smiles!!!! Pretty unusual. In fact, one Saint (?) to Mary’s right, is leaning on the arm of her chair, feet crossed casually. Don’t see that everyday. They have a Gregorian chant tape playing inside which adds to the ambiance. Definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful and old medieval temple from XII century, located in the old town. This temple is visited by the pilgrims on St James way. Worth the visit. Spent some time walking around and enjoying the architecture.
A Coruña has two jewels of Romanesque art and this is one of them.
Small 12th Century Cathedral
Cozy and serene. Small though
