A really good trip out around the local area and then to the palace. Its small but impeccably designed with a lot of fine detail. As this was more of a retreat for the king its less grand in scale than other palaces but I really enjoyed visiting it and learning the history.
I loved everything about this venue it's got something for everyone gardens architecture art galleries. We spent 6 and a half hour there and it didn't feel like it in any way the scenes are on overdrive with so much to take in its something that I could do a few times and still have not seen everything. Spectacular day trip for sure 😃
Beautiful and vast city park with breath taking landscapes and architecture. Great place to spend time with friends or family. It's very huge - it may take hours or days to take every route and explore reach path located in the park. The entrance is free and there's few gates you can get through. Hard to miss if you plan to visit Postdam.
A small, cause it was the summer one, but very beautiful palace. With the ticket of 22 euros you get to visit almost all places in Potsdam. Definitely more worth it to visit in the summer time or at least while everything's still green, since the gardens are a big, important part.
Sanssouci Park is absolutely stunning! Walking through the gardens is a true delight, with so many beautiful spots to explore and photograph. The highlight for me was the Orangerieschloss! Definitely a must-see. It’s the most beautiful building in the park, with incredible architecture and charm that you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re a history lover, architecture fan, Sanssouci Park is an unforgettable experience. Truly 5 stars!
Highly recommended! If You going there - I would recommend to get electric scooter if You are there for one day trip. It’s best way to see entire park in couple of hours.
This place is truly amazing. The architecture, the gardens, everything is so well kept and maintained. Highly recommend a visit.
A trip to the past, to the era of enlightenment and baroque architecture. Walk the halls Voltaire and Frederick the Great did. The audio tour is very good with lots of details and anecdotes. Take your time to roam the parks and don’t miss the Chinese house.

Really stunning garden I like the right one which is like a symetrical maze. There they want to plant fruit days like in the creation days. The statues around the central fountain are very impressive for me
The weather was miserable while we were there, but the palace and accompanying grounds are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!!!! Had the weather cooperated, we likely would have spent the whole day there! We had bought timed palace tickets ahead of time, which seemed like the correct move. They are serious about entry times! The Picture Gallery was very cool too! The New Palace was closed the day we went, which we knew, and the outside was largely under construction.
One of the prettiest places I have visited so far. Would definitely recommend checking it out. Make sure you take your time, we spent 2 hours here but still didn’t have enough time to see all the palaces. Book your tickets ahead of time if you wanna go inside anywhere!
Visited September 2025. It is a very beautiful place. It took over an hour to get here on the train from Berlin, but the train broke down twice on the way. It is a very beautiful place with a lot of history. You can walk around for hours viewing all the gardens and fountains. It was worth the visit to Potsdam to come here.
Ancient castles located close to each other with historical significance. A vast park perfect for walking or having a picnic. Everything looks stunning in autumn.
The ticket office is not at the palace but across from the old mill. It's a beautiful mini palace. The tour price is a bit expensive for the length of the tour and size of the palace. But a fun experience and the audio guide gives you a few fun details to look to. It's a beautiful park and after the tour, lots of walking available. Autumn was a great time but in summer there is probably more to do. Highly recommend during your stay in Potsdam!
We took the train from Berlin Hbf, which is an excellent way to visit Potsdam. Nice town to visit, some nice architecture, but the reason for our visit, the Sanssouci palace, was slightly disappointing. Somewhat smaller than expected, and the interior did not quite live up to my expectation of "Germany's Versailles". But certainly not a waste of time though.
The most beautiful place I've been in whole berling during pur trip. Didn't enter the palace. Restroom is 1 euro but there are free wc in the park

Relatively small palace but the architecture is beautiful and the history is really interesting. This is where the US, UK and former Soviet held the Potsdam conference. If you visit Potsdam I highly recommend to visit this palace! We were here after Sanssouci palace and had only 2 hours but we needed more time, learned so much from the audio guide too.
Blown away by the glorious beauty and the history of the place. Achingly gorgeous setting, sobering history. The gardens were in full bloom, an explosion of color that set off the Tudor-style mansion. Very surreal to imagine the events here that shaped the 20th century. Phenomenal woodwork - I could see the similarities with the James J. Hill mansion in St. Paul. Lots of fantastic books in every room. An absolute must-see.
What an amazing place! So much history. No backpacks inside as the space is smaller than you'd think. Make sure to download the app to hear the navigation and information for each space!
Worth the short bus ride to get to. It’s a unique palace/country house with a lot of history behind it. Many of the rooms on the inside are set up how they were during the Potsdam Conference which is interesting to see.
A beautiful, calm place with splendid view of lake, river and lawns.
A must if you love architecture and WWII sites! The Tudor villa is amazing and its gardens immaculate. The outside is free but if you want to visit the inside downstairs where the Potsdam conference happened, you will need a ticket! I just purchased on site and they have free audio guide too! Cash and credit cards accepted! You need to use lockers for backpacks make sure you have euro coin and filming was not allowed. The beautiful red star garden is only seen from the inside! Highly recommend!
At first glance, it seemed like a normal palace but it holds a dual history. One of the kings before the fall of the empires and other the after WW2 history. Many historical figures lived here who decided the aftermath of the world after WW2. It's the iconic conference venue of the conference. Around this you have an excellent beautiful garden. Wonderful lake. Nearby other palaces. Overall it's a must visit place. You can be part of WW2 history.
This is - it absolutely is! - the model for the houses of chocolate I used to see in my childhood infant books. This Tudor style little palace is gorgeous, it comes straight out from wonderland. I couldn't help noticing the Red Star in the back garden... it was still there many decades after it was probably imposed on this site by some over-zealous garden-chief.

Worth noting this has been under restoration since the 80s and right now there is scaffolding on a large portion of the exterior. That's unfortunate but it's important to preserve it so it's a worthwhile trade. The 1hr tour of the interior is definitely worth it. They don't offer English tours which is unfortunate, but the guide would answer questions in English. There is an app that has multiple languages but it's nowhere hear as detailed as the tour guide. I used Samsung AI interpreter to listen to what he was saying and while it wasn't perfect I got the general gist enough to ask some questions. He was very knowledgeable. The interior is stunning to match/exceed the exterior. To see it in the prime when operating would have been wild (albeit a bit gross I'm sure). The scaffolding should be off the front in the next few months but the restoration is never done. The university right next to the palace is also incredibly beautiful.
Good to go once to one of the palaces in the park!! If you have seen palaces in India, this will make you feel like a house of a rich person and not like a palace! Is this really a grand palace, may be yes given they had to quickly build this!
A massive and beautiful palace that's kinda missing some grand garden in front, that would go with it's architecture and style. It's just a long wide dirt roads, neatly trimmed grass and trees in pots. It's a shame, where are some water features, some bushes, flowers etc? It's kinda bleak, especially when you compare it to for example orangerie in the same area.
After visiting Sanssouci this of course has bigger dimensions but still feels underwhelming somehow. Anyway the rooms are still pretty and it might be worth the entree fee for some people. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Long nice walk around. Need to buy ticket to enter inside palace. Surroundings gardens are super green, cool and relaxing
Beautiful palace, Lovely staff, had a great time there. There is also a small cafe (with some cakes, wursts, coffee and beer). Highly recommend specially on a sunny day
Absolutely beautiful! We will come back when we have more time. Worth it to do the guided tour!
We were told that only guided tour visits were allowed and it would take about 45 minutes. There is a new tour in every 20 minutes. Huge and has so many incredibly designed rooms. The room that was decorated with shells all over was my favorite. I visited a few days after Christmas and it was amazing to see they had decorated it for Christmas.

A traditional landmark at the entrance to Potsdam’s pedestrian zone. It’s a beautiful sight and a popular photo opportunity for both tourists and locals. Anyone nearby should not miss the chance to visit. It’s simply a must-see when staying in Potsdam.
Visited multiple times when in Berlin for Marathon, easy to get to via metro/subway. It looks better at night when the lights are on.
Lots of people and traffic. May be challenging to get a good picture. Worth seeing as it is seen in so many historic photos.
20 minutes walk from the Bassinplatz Lovely atmosphere Many places for coffee and drinks Many restaurants
As beautiful as I always imagined it would be.
No tickets required. Looks smaller than the one on Berlin but looks nicer than the one in Berlin!
People probably don’t realise there is this Brandenburg gate as well as the other famous one. This is in Potsdam and the place in general is very nice to visit. It’s all being rebuilt in the style of the past when it was destroyed. So it feels a little like a Disney set as so new. The gate itself is nice to look at but nothing to actually do with it.
Potsdam is a beautiful place and easy to reach from Berlin. A very nice square with shops and Cafe . Good idea for one day excursion

I visited the Filmpark back in 2017 with my Mom. It is a really Fun place to visit - my Mom and I had a blast. We spend several hours exploring the entire Park. My favorite was seeing all the Characters from the Sandman and the Set where they where just Filming Jim Knopf Movie (Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver) I grew up in German and as a Kid I watched the original. The same goes for the Sandman. I watched that every night. This brought back so many fun memories. This Park is worth the visit in my opinion. Especially if you can relate to some of the Characters in the Park. We at in one of the Restaurants and the Food was good. Hopefully on my next visit to Berlin I will make another trip to the Park to see what has changed.
Small park, but a good day trip from Berlin!my daughter loved the 4 D cinema, stunt show and lil boat ride!we ate in restaurants there,it was ok!Very nice playground for kids!😊 We found little costly like 2€ per hour!so almost 12 to 14€ if you spend 6 to 7 hours there!
I remembered it way better then it is. Pros: Stunt show is very cool and the 4D cinema as well. Cons: the free and worth seeing attractions all stop at like 4 pm. The last 4D movie is at like 4:30 pm after that you can only go to the ones that cost. We sat down in a small theatre to watching the documentary about the place. When it was done a lady yelled at us for still being here cause apparently the park already closed. Overall a sad experience.
Lina love and happy so have a lot of fun and enjoy
It’s a good place for young children. Let’s say up to 10. There are no roller coaster in case you look for some! They have stunt shows, VR sessions, 4D cinema, some little attractions like lazy river or snapshot hall, but it’s mostly it. Some people mistake it with real Babelsberg Studio but it’s just a theme park based next to the main quarters of the famous Studio. There is a small space for autocars if you travel with the group. Also a couple of restaurants and cafe’s inside. Recomended for families with children and schools (1-5 grade maximum).
As two adults we spend around 3 hours here, it was quite fun, I didn’t know this many Hollywood movie has been recorded here, interactive shows are quite nice, food was editable and the staff was kind. If I have guests I may consider to have a visit here. I’m not sure if kids understand enough, there are a few playgrounds For smaller kids and for bigger ones, maybe from 6 years on it can be intresting.
Disappointing Value for the Price – Filmpark Babelsberg Needs a Rethink The experience at Filmpark Babelsberg simply doesn’t justify the high ticket price. At €28 per adult, the value feels incredibly out of balance. Had the price been closer to €12, I might have felt differently. While it was somewhat interesting to see old set pieces, many were poorly presented—accompanied by little to no information and lacking context that would help visitors (both German and foreign like us) appreciate their significance. Even for the films I recognized, the props were often unidentifiable. Older films were referenced, but without stills or clips playing nearby, the displays felt disconnected and incomplete. I wasn’t expecting a Disney-level experience, but I did hope for something on par with other German parks like Phantasialand. Unfortunately, Filmpark Babelsberg falls short in attention to detail. The costume for their mascot, Flimmy, was literally broken, with cracked film reels on his shoulders. It looked tired. Several employees were on their phones and, while not outright rude, they didn’t seem engaged or particularly welcoming. The 4D attraction was underwhelming: the waiting area looked like it had been decorated in 2005 by a group of high schoolers with a moderate budget, rather than by professionals. The audio inside suffered from feedback and was hard to understand. Other attractions showed signs of neglect—faded paint, cracked structures, and uninspired landscaping that felt more like a tired city park at the end of summer than a well-maintained theme destination. Ironically, it looked like a significant chunk of the park’s budget went to a photo-op attraction at the back, which only highlighted the imbalance. That said, younger children seemed to have a great time. The play areas and jungle gyms looked fun, and even the slides were fast and enjoyable for the adults in our party. But for a park that advertises itself as “fun for the whole family,” it should also engage adults—not leave them feeling underwhelmed or even a bit grimy by the end. And please, for the love of all things family-friendly: ban smoking. It’s shocking that it’s allowed in a park aimed at children. It absolutely ruins the atmosphere for those of us who just want to enjoy some fresh air. I would genuinely love the opportunity to walk through the park with the stakeholders and show them what I saw. I want Filmpark Babelsberg to succeed—to be fun, creative, and worthwhile. But in its current state, it just feels like a waste of time.
No more than 3 stars. I heard about this park several years ago and I think it should be one of the best Filmpark in the world. However, when I came here, I can't recommend it to be honest. Reason: 1. You have to wait for soooo long for some activities. Like the theater. It is so rediculous that we wait for 45min for such in experience. It should be more well managed. 2. The food is so bad. You can charge a lot, it is fine. But you shall also provide some proper food. The kids box is not even enough for a 5 years kid to eat. 3. The park is really small. I think 3hours is totally enough. Highlights: Stuntshow is quit good, so the there are2.5 out if 3 stars is given to the show.

The historic mill is another charming step part of the entire Sanssouci complex. It is located very close to the palace itself and a must-see! The mill is greatly preserved and provides you with a unique glimpse into the milling traditions here! Beautiful scenery and landscapes outside and in proximity to the mill! Spend some time exploring!
It was surprisingly fun visiting the windmill, of course, partly because that was my first time being inside of one on a windy day. One can climb the stairs all the way to the outside platform of the windmill and enjoying a nice view of the surrounding areas. The windmill is in walking distance from the main schloss, and ticket to visit the windmill is included in the Schloss combi ticket. One just need to show the Schloss ticket at the entrance.
A nicely preserved wind mill just near the Sanssouci Palace. It is possible to climb up and have a beautiful view on Sanssouci park and also to see how the flouer is made. Unfortunately the stands and presentations are only in German and the interactive écrans are in English, Spanish and Polish, that is not enough as a language choice. The price is affordable (5 euros)
Stunning windmill that is still actively working. You can climb the stair to the top and stand outside on the balcony to overlook the city. At the very top you can see the cogs turning and examples of how they used the mill to grind grain. Note: the entire exhibition is in German. No other languages offered.
Nice historic windmill. A little disappointing that the restaurant outside was closed on a great summer day. We also did not really like the bread we bought - looked very nice, but turned dry very quickly. We went back to our favourite sour dough bread from our local baker.
Typical German food, friendly service! Steak was mediocre. Very nice to sit outside. Could be crowded during lunch. One hour of nearby parking is free if you are a guest. Don’t forget to give your parking ticket to a waiter. Recommended!
This windmill is very rear and a litle bit different from other palaces and gardens in Potsdam. There are several floors inside. Last two shows interior lf mill and how they make flour using wind energy. And you can see also mechanism of wheels. Person who is working inside can answer on visitors questions. They have little shop and there is option to buy bread, flour, books and other interesring and tasty things. This place is PRESS friendly
You wouldn’t normally expect a historical mill to be preserved so close to a royal palace and gardens. It is beautiful landmark visible from many parts of Sansoucci garden. I loved the contrast of noble gardens and buildings and a mill - yet another detail that will make you feel as if an fairytale ;)

Tucked away in the Sanssouci Park is this wonderful elegant building. The architecture is stunning and we were lucky to have the place to ourselves on our visit as it gave us the time to truly appreciate the magnificence of all the intricate work held within it. The porter was very informative about the statues at the entrance and explained about the gold leaf design. Oh to have been there when it was in use
This place is absolutely unmissable! The architecture is stunning, and the atmosphere feels like stepping into another world. It’s one of the highlights of the park and definitely worth a stop. The best part? It’s located very close to all the main attractions, so it’s super easy to include in your walking route. Whether you’re into history, photography, or just relaxing in beautiful surroundings, the Chinese House won’t disappoint. Don’t miss it!
A very beautiful summer house in Chinese style belonging to Sans Souci park and gardens. It’s a very nice stop during a walk through the historic gardens in Potsdam. You need to buy a ticket to get inside but it’s free to see it from the outside and it’s still worth it!
Worth the visit. Nobody here at 4pm. Really interesting example of Euro Chinese thought.
Definitely the most impressive in my opinion building in the whole Sanssouci park, when we take into consideration it's size. It's packed with features and details from every angle, so walking around it, especially since its not that big, is actually recommended.
The Chinese teahouse is one of the most magnificent and elegant architecture here. The color combination is nice. This is the hidden beauty of the park.
A must see example of Chinoiserie. The grandeur packed in this “tiny” compared to the other palaces is incredible. It is off the beaten path, so it is not crowded. Enjoy yourself almost on your own, surrounded by golden accents and beautiful china pieces on display.
It was beautiful from the outside! Unfortunately, the building was closed when we were there so we weren’t able to go inside.

Truly the most beautiful sight I've seen in the Netherlands. Decor that you'd expect from Iberian Peninsula grand mansions. Perfect place to relax and forget about day-to-day troubles while listening to soft trickle of the fountain water and admiring bounteous flowerbed. Sadly it's being renovated atm so I couldn't step inside, but the outside still makes up for it
The Orangerieschloss is without a doubt one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever visited. The sheer scale and elegance of its architecture make you feel as if you’ve stepped into another world. Every detail, from the grand facade to the harmonious symmetry, radiates a sense of timeless beauty. The gardens surrounding the palace are equally mesmerizing perfectly manicured, lush, and full of life. Walking through them, with the magnificent building rising behind, truly feels like being in paradise. The combination of vibrant greenery, peaceful paths, and stunning architecture creates an atmosphere that is both inspiring and deeply calming. An absolute gem in Potsdam. If you want to experience a place that feels like heaven on earth, the Orangerieschloss is it.
Great energy! Built between 1851-1864 under King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, it was designed in an Italian Renaissance style by architects Ludwig Persius, Friedrich August Stüler, and Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse. Originally intended as a winter shelter for citrus trees, it also hosted royal guests. The palace features grand halls, galleries, and lush gardens. Visitors can tour its ornately decorated rooms, including the Raphael Hall, which houses copies of famous works by Raphael. The rooftop terrace offers excellent views of Sanssouci Park.
The Orangery Palace in Potsdam is a true treasure of Prussian history - a magnificent example of Italian Renaissance architecture with imposing size and elegant colonnades. Despite the high number of visitors in peak season and the lack of accessibility, the architectural beauty is undeniable. It reflects the taste of Frederick William IV and now houses a museum that offers insights into the life and art of the 19th century.
The Orangery Palace has a beautiful and symmetrical design with a central pavilion and wings. Its exterior features impressive columns, statues, and a dome with a lantern on top. The palace is surrounded by stunning gardens and terraces, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The gardens offer a picturesque backdrop for outdoor activities like picnics and photography. The palace's gardens are meticulously maintained and provide a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. You can explore the gardens, discover hidden pathways, and find scenic viewpoints. The palace's exterior and gardens make it a great spot for capturing Instagram-worthy photos. Visiting the Orangery Palace allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of its architecture and the serenity of its gardens.
Visited from outside. Great place to sit. It has nice balcony view which is indeed quite impressive. Quite fountain in front of it as well! A good place to have photographs.
This is the spot with the best view of the grounds! It's a walk up the spiral stairs, but worth the effort! We got some great shots from here and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Some of it was closed due to maintenance, but what we saw was amazing!

Museum Barberini: A Must-Visit Day Trip from Berlin Barberini never ceases to impress! Just a short and scenic day trip from Berlin, the museum is perfectly situated right across from Potsdam’s main train station—making it incredibly easy to access. The short walk to the museum offers lovely views that set the tone for the experience ahead. The museum itself is impeccable. Every exhibition is thoughtfully curated with both care and expertise, offering a deep yet accessible insight into the art. The audio tour is especially well done—concise, engaging, offering interesting details and relevant context. They also plan talks; conversations and other events. Last but not least the museum has a patio toward the river which only adds to the entire experience. ☞ Pro Tips: Be sure to download the Museum Barberini app before your visit. It gives you access to the audio guide (many languages), curatorial commentary, interviews, and more—all right at your fingertips. 🎫 Buy your Museum tickets in advance (online) 🔑 You will be asked to leave your bags and coats stored: Bring a 1 or 2 Eur coin 📚 Don't forget the gift shop ☕ 🍰Cakes at the coffee shop are TOP! 🚂 If you come from Berlin buy ABC train ticket
Very impressive collection overall, especially if you like impressionism, Monet is everywhere in the museum. Overall there are many 3ayd to get a reduced or even free admission, whether a student or anything else of a number of things. Definitely a great stop!
Amazing collection of impressionist, neo-realist, and fauvist art. Probably the best collection outside of France or maybe Vienna. The special Pisarro exhibition was incredible. The only thing I didn't like was how the security were pushy even about small bags.
In 31 days, on Sep 28, the Pissarro special exhibition will close up. Catch it while you can. Wonderfully curated, this comprehensive retrospective traces the growth of Camille Pissarro, a man who never stopped experimenting, adapting and refining his visions. ⭐The walls texts balance contextual information with formal analysis. Thoroughly enjoyable. ⭐The audio guide, easily downloadable, is designed so that playing the tracks on built-in loudspeakers is technically impossible. Visitors have to use each headphones or keep the phone to their ears. The viewing and listening experience is, thanks to this design feather, as free from disturbances as possible. ⭐The permanent collection is also top-notch. My personal fav is the room themed “The Colour White”. Various renditions of snow-blanketed landscapes at the end of the Little Ice Age provide a memorable study of how hues and shades other than white give the impression of white. ⭐Logistics: Plenty of locks of all sized. Operated with 1 or 2 Euro coins, which you get back when you vacate the locker. ⭐Phone charging mini cabinets with locks. Appreciated.
If you love Impressionist painters, this will be Heaven for you! Fill 3 floors of Monet, Pissarro ams Renoir! Highly recommended to visit!
Really enjoyed this museum, we arrived on an open day so the entrance was free and they had a Pissarro collection alongside many other Impressionism works. I recommend visiting if in Potsdam, the visit shouldn’t last more than 40-50 minutes in my opinion.
Fantastic blockbuster expos like the one Insaw about Pissarro and a wonderful exhibition space, cafe, and bookstore. And all in beautiful Potsdam!
One of top German modern art museums for temporary exhibitions as well as a huge collection of Monet, Renoir, Pissaro, Picasso and other impressionist painters in a superb building of classic architecture

Schinkel-designed neoclassical church with a columned cupola, offering tours & a viewing platform.

St. Nicholas’ Church in Potsdam is a stunning neoclassical landmark that dominates the Old Market Square. Its grand dome and elegant architecture make it a must-see for visitors. The interior is serene, with impressive frescoes and intricate details. Climbing to the dome’s viewing platform rewards you with panoramic views of the city. Rich in history, the church has been carefully restored after WWII damage, symbolizing Potsdam’s resilience and dedication to preserving its cultural heritage.
Beautiful church built in the 1830s. The dome was destroyed in WW2 and subsequently rebuilt. The entire building looks so nicely restored.
The church combines architectural elements that resemble the Vatican and St Paul's of London, and the dome is the most striking feature of the cityscape of Potsdam. The climb up to the domed roof is via two narrow spiral staircases, not for the claustrophobic or those with mobility issues. The view from the top is breathtaking, quite literally, as it can get windy up there. It's fascinating to watch the bells ringing if you time your visit right. I wish there had been some signage indicating landmarks or points of interest that I was looking at. The murals of the prophets and apostles are impressive and there's free music played in the pipe organ. Worth the visit and the church is free although the climb up costs €5.
The prayer house really great. The classical architecture, huge dome, the grand entrance, everything is fantastic The large square is amazing. The best part is no vehicles are allowed to enter. One can thoroughly enjoy the place.
A beautiful work of art-a simple walk, free from mental clutter, can soothe the soul and transport you back to a time long forgotten
I love churches because of their architecture and defo it’s worth to visit this as well. Just beautiful from inside as well as outside. Lovely dome and €5 is nothing to pay to go up to the dome for 360 view or surrounding area.
St. Nicholas' Church is a beautiful and historic church located in the heart of Potsdam. As soon as you walk in, you'll be struck by the stunning architecture and the peaceful atmosphere. The church has a rich history, dating back to the 17th century, and it's clear that the caretakers take great pride in preserving and maintaining the building. The stained glass windows are particularly impressive, and they provide a breathtaking backdrop to the church's services. Speaking of services, St. Nicholas' Church is a welcoming and inclusive community that offers a variety of worship experiences. Whether you're looking for a traditional church service or a more contemporary experience, you'll find something that suits you here. Overall, I would highly recommend St. Nicholas' Church to anyone looking for a beautiful and meaningful worship experience in Potsdam. The church is a true gem, and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Step up to the dome and enjoy a great view over Potsdams roofs. Entry is 5 Euro.

Built in 1755, this large Gothic Revival gate is a busy meeting place near many bars & restaurants.

Nauener Tor is one of the three preserved gates of Potsdam. It was built in 1755 and is the first example of the influence of English Gothic Revival architecture in Continental Europe. Many cafes, restaurants and shops around.
No tickets required. Interesting looking gate. Built in the style of English Gothic Revival architecture. Nearby Dutch quarter is also camera-worthy.
Lots of cute little cafes and shops all around. The landmark itself is stunning! There is a small park nearby where I sat & enjoyed my lunch.
Located at the north end of the old city center, stands a totally different city gate than the Brandenburg one, with a tram passing through it. Not as grand in my opinion but still worth seeing.
Super cool, especially the installation
From a historical point of view, this is an interesting place. From an aesthetic point of view, it’s just normal. The interest can only be caused by someone who would like to make some not ordinary photo or draw that gates. So, overall, this is just an ordinary old gate.
Such a cool gate! Hard to believe this is still standing! Worth seeing!
A place near restaurant and bars.. some authentic german restaurants also near by..

The visit to these palaces was very relaxing. I visited them during the summer and the fact that it is located near a lake is fascinating. You can go for a bike ride in the park, enjoy a picnic why not even swim in the water of the lake
İf you like how beautiful the nature overwhelms the superflux of 19. century kings, you would be happy there. A diversity in indigenous plants between two seas.
My favorite park in Potsdam so far. Such a great landscape with greens and blues. Right next to the park is a lake. Along the path you will find many things to see. Dutch Establishment, Pyramid, Marble Palace, an elephant-shaped tree, Cecilienhof and a great brewery. Enjoy your walk or relaxation here :)
Calm beautiful and serene place forces your instincts to live here
Very nice large park by the lake
Incredibly spacious and beautiful park. In this place I first time encountered the fact that I stopped and looked simply at the space in front of me. There was nothing but bushes, trees and grass, but this empty zone seemed spacious, well-groomed and fresh(this park was designed by knowledgeable people). There are several historical sights in the park as the Marble Palace and Cecilienhof Palace. I highly recommend visiting both the park itself and its attractions.
The atmosphere is great. It is a big park. Quiet. There is a large lake that can swim clear and clean. Traveling can be accessed in many ways, either by walking, driving a car, cycling or by bus.
Lots to see here within walking distance of the city centre. Most famous is the Cicilienhof, where the Potsdam Conference took place in 1945. The Gardens are pretty and peaceful, there is amongst others also the Marmor Palace, and the Alte Meierei (Restaurant, Bar, Brewery) on the edge of the lake and its a short walk to Glienicke and Babelsberg Palaces and the infamous Glienicke Bridge
