Meal was delicious. Menu only in german:(. In veal schnitzel we found a little glass, the stuff was sorry, all ok with the tooth, etc. luckily. Warm potatoe salad was delicious, both schnitzel too (till the glass bite). Pasta was a bit cold, could have been warmer. Apple schtrudel was delicious! Service girl was nice. And we found an insect (alive) too.

We woke up early on a Sunday morning in Potsdam and struggled to find somewhere open to eat. Eventually we stumbled upon Cafe Heider. We were served a warm welcome by the waiter who explained to us clearly the menu which was all in German. We took the buffet option with the orange juice. There was a wide selection of meats, cheese (which always pleases) breads and scrambled egg. The cafe was full to bursting when we left and it's clear why. Great service and yummy food. We were well fed for a day of exploring postdam and beyond.

i came here to feel and eat german, went out fulfilled - kasespatzer is full of cheese and vegetables however i did not feel super heavy after all, i love the way they’re serving dishes - schnitzel came with a piece of lime which was covered to avoid any seeds in your dish, everything inside is fully classic german so if you want to feel it, come and check it !

We only stopped by for a drink (an exquisite German wine), but what we enjoyed the most is the friendliness of the waiter and the relaxed, positive atmosphere of this traditional Café. I would 100% recommend it, and I am sure that the food is also delicious

Love it here! It's a little slice of France that I plan to enjoy again and again! The wine selection is great, the food natural, authentic and of course delicious. What more could I ask for?!

Sat outside in the amazing winter garden area at the back. Lovely atmosphere and service. They came with an amazing olive tapanade and bread with our aperitifs. First course was the fois gras perfectly prepared.....followed by an amazing steak tartare...maybe the best I have had outside France! A number of set menus to choose from to fit any taste. This place is highly recommended. A bit pricier than others, but for my tastes.....well worth it!

Fantastic food in wonderful garden in Potsdam. The soup was extraordinary with a flavourful broth and lots of white fish. Foie Gras was worthy of France. Steak tartar was good. Main course of tagliatelle with mushrooms was perfect too. We chose a well priced Alsace Pinot Blanc and it went beautifully with all the dishes. Nice wine list. Prices were right for the caliber of food and service.

Very friendly service in a cosy environment. The starters and main courses were very good, the deserts not so much (we didn’t really appreciate the chocolate in them). The prices are indeed pretty steep compared to other restaurants, even though the quality is good. There is a very nice garden in the back and a wintergarden as well attached to it (that’s where we sat), unfortunately when even only one person smokes in the garden (as was the case when we were there) everybody enjoys along :(

Colour (Race) unfriendly! They ruined my night! I am writing this while sitting right in the restaurant. Am standing write at the counter asking the waiter (Sven Richter), if I would get a reservation for one, and the waiter shows me with his head towards unset table ,( the pictures attached )being am a patient person I asked him again, still , he points with his head towards the place he showed me earlier meanwhile a paar (two white ladies) comes with no reservations too and he shows them other direction where other white are sitting! I got no patience called the waitress and asked her why was I given the seat where am the only person of colour, whereas others are put on the other side, moreover I was dining on my own expense! after sitting for a while, the female waitress comes to pick my order I ask her if my table can be sett she goes and brings the serviette and the knife and a🍴 then puts them on the table, while I was still waiting for my order I could see them chit chatting with a glance towards me then laughing! I got furious look at them then the lady stop and moves aside , I even got afraid to eat my food!

Made a reservation for our anniversary dinner while visiting family in Potsdam. Requested outdoor seating. As we walked up we were skeptical of what that would mean. All fears were immediately alleviated as we were shown to the courtyard in the back. Absolutely beautiful. The service was on point and the food was spectacular. Did one of the set menus and couldn’t have been happier. If we ever get a chance to make it back to Potsdam this will definitely be a stop again. Thank you.

Quite poor service quality and waiters are very rude. I was few times there cause it is only one place in Potsdam with GF cakes. Every time they behave like "Don't ask any questions just pay and get out of here!" Especially one old blond lady. Very unpleasant experience and also really overpriced... EDIT (after the owners answer) It's totally not true what you did write here. You are all extremely rude there always, no matter if there are many customers or not. All of you are making faces as you would be forced to work there. You are ignoring customers that are waiting to order something, doing everything very slowly so the person needs to wait enormously long to even make an order. Not answering the question with some stupid comments from your side... Is that a respect towards customers? I don't think so! Not to mention that the cakes are totally not worth those prices. They are really tasteless. It's one huge rip off nothing more. The venom that goes from your soul is really easy to feel in this place and those cakes...

Greatest veggie food I’ve tasted so far!!

Perfect find after a long day of walking! We stumbled upon this place on our way back to the train station. Being our first (and possibly only) time in Potsdam, we had a very pleasant experience. Language was bit of barrier, as to be expected, but food was great, service was amazing, and atmosphere was relaxing. Other guests even helped us! The organic factor was a huge bonus.

If you're looking for gluten free food in Potsdam, this is a great option. GF is clearly marked on the menu and there is also a good selection of gluten free cakes available. Really enjoyable lunch!

Today we visited Potsdam with family and came across this beautiful little restaurant. The foood was tasty, colorful and hit the spot. (Highly recommend the Salmon and Cyclos Bowl) The drinks looked and tasted amazing. Staff is very friendly, thoughtful and had an eye for everything (shout-out to the blonde waitress and Ouni ^^) We'll definetly be back sometime soon...

Taste of the shirmp sticks with homemade dip was ok. However, they cut away at least 3/4 of each shrimp, probably to use for other dishes, so prepare for a tiny bit of shrimp and a LOT of cornflakes..

They had delicious vegan options. I appreciated that my mango shake had no additional sugar! My bowl with caramelized Tofu and veggies was 13€. Staff was attentive and friendly. I liked that it's located in a calm street with little car traffic.

We stopped here for dinner tonight. Service was fantastic, I didn’t take the girls name but she had excellent English and was very polite. The menu had some lovely selections and the food was served quickly. Presentation was good and the food was delicious. It was pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance. Good prices too.

Cozy little place! We ordered the mixed plates (meat) for two, included Ha Cao, deep fried Tofu stick, papaya salad, chicken curry, fried chicken rolls. They are delicious! Especially the raspberry spicy sauce for the deep fried Tofu stick is amazing! We will definitely go back again!

Update December 2023: We were looking forward to eating some delicious bagels for our family brunch. We ordered seven bagels and two desserts. Sadly, the quality has really deteriorated in the past few years. If I compare bagels from a few years ago, the bagels now are not worth the money. The bagel bread itself is still delicious (outsourced), but the filling is almost non-existent. Three little pieces of arugula, a few tiny pieces of turkey or Pastrami is not enough. The only thing you taste now is the bagel, not the fillings. Really sad. Sadly cannot recommend this restaurant anymore. Review from 2019: Great menu options, prices are good. We tried three different bagels, and were happy with all three. Both smoothies were also fresh and flavorful. They could be a little more attentive to the dirty dishes which were piled up waiting to be washed (for the entire hour we were there). That view from our table wasn't the nicest.

The Bagels & Coffee is located in the popular/touristy neighbourhood of Potsdam. It's 20 minutes walk from here to the Schloss Sans Soucis. I have enjoyed a simple yet hearty breakfast here on a rainy day in June before head out for a day exploration of Potsdam. It's quite chill here to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends as well.

Bagels were good and coffee very good. Was small and a bit loud when full. Was really nice that they had toys for kids, high chair and changing table. Though it was a bit dangerous in the kid area there was an exposed wire that my kid found. Prices were a bit high for a bagel and menus were also on the higher end for what you got. It’s definitely an okay place to visit when up early or need something.

The food is great, every sandwich that I tried was delicious. The cappuccino is one of the best that you can find in Potsdam. I gave only 4⭐️ because the place needs a deep clean and I always see the dust and dirt under the benches. If you stay outside is perfect, you cannot see it.

Nice place place for tasty breakfast (bagels, toasts, eggs, salads). Coffee is not outstanding but good enough. They have small tables outside where you can enjoy morning sun (and some tables inside as well). Nice central location, could be a good start of your Potsdam tour.

It's was Saturday morning when we went to Bagels & Coffee for breakfast. We had a vegan bagel, fried eggs, butter croissant 🥐 with coffee ☕️. I really enjoyed the food and the moody weather ⛅. Highly recommend that you go early before the crowd so that you can enjoy the coffee outside and watch as the street come to live. 😊

very cosy location. in the center of potsdam and old streets and houses. the coffee is exceptionally better than all other cafe I have tested in Germany. its cheese cake and pestatue croissant are remarkable. even if you do not drink coffee , come here for its pasteries. its staffs are well behaved and fast. I bought its coffee beans. it is a bit more expensive in comparison to other coffee bean stores but it worth it.

Wasn't greeted upon arrival. Had to wait standing up while two other people's coffees were being ordered even though wanted to sit at a table whilst my other family members went to the toilet, decided to sit down waiting instead next to counter, then a gentleman came in and just told the lady what he wanted and got served ahead of me, the lady didn't even ask if i wanted to make an order even though i was the only other customer in the shop. Rest of family came out of toilet and were annoyed i hadn't even been able to place an order yet. Annoyed i decided to order for others not myself. At least service was fast and decent coffee machine. Parking was steep, had to pay 0.5 Euro per 10 minutes for parking and walk to Cafe. After all that forgot to go to the toilet there so have to pay 0.5 Euro to go to a public toilet since public toilets aren't free in Germany and no toilet voucher even though we were a spending customer to use when we need to go.

Amazing, cute little place which serves mainly oven potatoes and drinks. Potato was not something I thought of for (late) breakfast, but I was certainly not disappointed! One dish is quite a lot though, and can certainly be shared for a lighter bite. Potatoes are served from 11.30AM. The staff is also very friendly! Would definitely come again.

Fine. I had the Bilbao. It was good overall but lacked more chicken. I honestly doubt there was even 20 grams of chicken there. If you compare it to other places in berlin, you will find it over priced and shy on the amount and diversity of the toppings. I personally would not go there again since I have other places that are more accessible.
