Meal was delicious. Menu only in german:(. In veal schnitzel we found a little glass, the stuff was sorry, all ok with the tooth, etc. luckily. Warm potatoe salad was delicious, both schnitzel too (till the glass bite). Pasta was a bit cold, could have been warmer. Apple schtrudel was delicious! Service girl was nice. And we found an insect (alive) too.

We woke up early on a Sunday morning in Potsdam and struggled to find somewhere open to eat. Eventually we stumbled upon Cafe Heider. We were served a warm welcome by the waiter who explained to us clearly the menu which was all in German. We took the buffet option with the orange juice. There was a wide selection of meats, cheese (which always pleases) breads and scrambled egg. The cafe was full to bursting when we left and it's clear why. Great service and yummy food. We were well fed for a day of exploring postdam and beyond.

i came here to feel and eat german, went out fulfilled - kasespatzer is full of cheese and vegetables however i did not feel super heavy after all, i love the way they’re serving dishes - schnitzel came with a piece of lime which was covered to avoid any seeds in your dish, everything inside is fully classic german so if you want to feel it, come and check it !

We only stopped by for a drink (an exquisite German wine), but what we enjoyed the most is the friendliness of the waiter and the relaxed, positive atmosphere of this traditional Café. I would 100% recommend it, and I am sure that the food is also delicious

Cute little place, but for the whole time we were there no one removed the plates from the last guest. The cheesecake was also not so good as I expected, but also not bad.

It's a small place but so comfy and cheap. I came here to study, and the waitresses were super nice to me. Even though I did not speak so good german, they were patient and helpful with it.

First time I was here in May, and really enjoyed atmosphere and cheesecake, service was good and cheesecake was tasty. My mother came (travelled) for a visit and I decided to let her try the best cheesecake here. As we came - terrace was full, so we decided to take for takeaway. When I made order, waitress asked me “do you want me to pack them?” I said “no”. Probably she didn’t hear me and start to pack it, when I nicely asked her “you don’t have to pack it, we will eat it in the park” - she rolled her eyes and with all nervous actions start to throwaway papers to the trash, we even had a eye look between me, my sister and my mom. Ok, whatever, she may had a bad day. As soon as we went outside, two tables were empty and my mother would like to sit, I said “sure”. We almost finished our cakes when waitress came and said “if you took cakes for takeaway you are not allowed to sit here, so I have to ask you to leave”. Well, no problem if there is a clients waiting for this table then I can understand, but there were no one, so I don’t understand what is the problem, especially we had only to make couple of bites from this cake. I left with disappointed feeling from service, in my opinion it wasn’t welcomed at all. I love their cheesecakes, but this bad way of service ruin everything. Not gonna comeback, not gonna suggest any of my friends to come here. UPDATED: after reading your answer for this feedback, I don’t know what type of the client service they teach you in the school that you finished, probably you skipped classes and should come back to it :) Please, notice, that I wrote very polite explanation even with understanding way, but I see that poisonous also came from your answer not only from the behave in the cafe with service us and rolling your eyes. Glad to understand that I didn’t overreact after reading other comments, I see it’s happening pretty other. Wish you all the best of learning how to serve people 😊 Pss. This is a famous cheesecake place where you can visit your friends, family and kids in Potsdam. Their black coffee has a nice cremation. I normally take classic cheesecake here but this time I tried with lemon. It has nice texture, balanced sour and sweet taste. But ready to wait between 15-30 mins to seat. It’s usually crowded.

our friend suggested us to go to this beautiful bakery shop in Potsdam during our visit, the bakery is very cozy, we had a blueberry cake, a lemon cake one cappuccino and a green tea. The cheesecakes were very good. they have different types of flavors depending on the day, which i found really interesting. the cappuccino was good. prices personally weren’t that expensive is about 7€ per person. the only issue we had is that card payments are not allowed (very typical of this part of germany) but is always a bit uncomfortable not having all the payment options available.

It was our reward for riding all the way from Berlin. Big selection of cheesecakes at 3,50€ Nice service but not practical during COVID. We picked Nougat, it was ok. The sugar coating on top was too sweet and sour for me.

The restaurant is located in the same block as the Brandenburger Tor in Potsdam. It was very nice sitting in the outdoor seating area of the restaurant and enjoying a nice meal in a sunny weather. Enjoyed the daily special menu of the beef pasta with mushrooms and risotto with peas and veggie. The portion here is quite big, certainly very filling after the meal.

Incredibly rude man at the door. He pointed at my husband and I and said “no” when we asked for a table for two. While they were in fact very busy outside, there were at least 7 tables inside empty (without reserved signs). We were happy to go spend our money elsewhere.

Honestly, it took me by surprise. We took the buffalo mozzarella as a starter and then the tiger prawns with tomato sauce and the tagliatelle with truffle sauce and oyster mushrooms. Ad a dessert the amazing creme brûlée. It was soooo good!!! 11/10!

A lovely Italian restaurant directly in Potsdam. We hadn’t big expectations on this restaurant, but they smashed all expectations. The small mixed Italian plate was enough for 2 ;-) really delicious! The tagliatelle with salmon were outstanding. The sauce based on tomatoes, but not superposing the rest of the ingredients. The salmon was very tender and not overcooked. You should reserve upfront.

This restaurant is exceptional and a clear example of getting what you pay for. I was absolutely thrilled with the freshness, quality and bold flavours of the dishes I sampled (see photos). Service was genuine, hospitable and very friendly. The only downside to my experience was that the restaurant appeared understaffed which meant we had to wait to be attended to after finishing our mains. However, this was insignificant in comparison to the truly excellent meal I enjoyed.

Great waiter, great food and directly beside the entry of the beautiful park of Sanssouci. In the evening hours you have a lot of sun outside, which gives a very nice vibe.

Best Italian in Potsdam. And there are many good Italian restaurants in town. But this one is special. The vibe is extremely good. and the food is excellent. We had Pasta and Entrecote. Both extremely good. Paired with a bottle of wine. Fantastic. And the tiramisu was a dream. There was a hint of lemon to move it from great to world-class.

How annoying is that it costs 7.90€ and you only get a tiny cup, it kills the fun. Whe we wanted to pay suddenly we are told that they only take cash.. they dont like cards or is there something else? It is nice to sit outside when the weather is inviting. Unfortunately in 2024, they have ash trays on every table to encourage smoking and people who wish to enjoy a nice atmosphere with fresh air can only hope to not have a smoker sitting next to them. Luckily when we were there, nobody smoked.

Its a charming bakery in the Dutch Viertel of Potsdam. The location is perfect for sunny days with option for outside seating. It has a wide variety of options for drinks, food and cakes. The staff is very welcoming and the overall atmosphere is great!

We heard lots of compliments about its chocolate but I personally did not find it really special. It was quite thick but the flavour was not that good and it was a bit pricey too. We also wanted to have some cake but the range was very small and did not seem fresh. The staff was friendly and polite.

One of the expirence you should have in life have one of the outrageous chocolate in the Maison de chocolate, very delicious and very energetic too. The ambiance is very well done and supports all those wonderfully pasteries and cakes you can get there. Enjoy your visit and all the goods you will get there.

The food was incredible, we had two slices of delicious cake. The place is really nice but unfortunately the tip culture is extreme. The total was 18.50 and since it is only cash (which this alone is crazy for such a touristic place) we gave the waitress 20 euros and without even asking she was going to keep the change. And only for this rude behavior we did ask for the change and they didn’t even say goodbye later and spoke in german to each other clearly saying something about us. The tip for the service really wasn’t needed since nobody asked us anything and we had to sit ourselves. Being Italian, we know Europe isn’t like the USA, so this tip culture is nonsense unless the service is something else. Do better.

Nice tables outside to enjoy coffee on sunny days. Cakes are super fresh and with good ingredients. The red berries cake was amazing and the cappuccino creamy on point.

Coffee is delicious! I was a little disappointedwith the muffin since it tasted store bought and not really homemade like the menu suggested. The croissant was good. We also had cappuccino and ended up buying their home roasted coffee beans for home.

Excellent coffee and excellent people. Cortado tastes naturally sweet and full-bodied toward the end. All the pastry and cakes look delicious. Unfortunately I don’t have time to enjoy the cozy rustic atmosphere, but walking 20min round trip was definitely worth it.

I was here with my girlfriend. This cafe is a cozy place to enjoy coffee with your friends or family. It is located near the cathedral in the Dutch quarter, so take the opportunity to visit this lovely neighborhood. We highly recommend you try the Chai Latte, which delighted us so much that we bought a whole box of Chai Prana. 🥰

This café is a true haven for coffee enthusiasts. We tried the flat white and the filter coffee, both of which were exceptional. The cookies were freshly baked and perfectly complemented the quality of the coffee. I also had the granola yogurt, which was beautifully presented and truly delightful.

I love coming here - I used to come every day during my school years and now I come occasionally for breakfasts and lunches when with other people. The prices are really reasonable for great portion sizes and food made from scratch in the kitchen - it's gorgeous food with really high quality ingredients. The coffee and drinks are also always made very well and with very high quality beans. They have a really large selection of cakes etc. too and the staff are incredibly friendly.

I enjoy drinking hot cappuccino and eating delicious cakes here. This coffee shop is good, clean and have indoor and outdoor for sit. There are a variety of food and snacks to choose from. Quality coffee. Service is a bit slow but ok. Overall I recommend this coffee and cake this shop. If the opportunity to come back to eat again

Second time to visit here for breakfast and the second time I'm disappointed. The place lacks attention to detail. When we arrived there was only one other customer and yet our breakfast order was wrong when it came and also alot of the cold drinks on the menu were unavailable. The only positive thing is regardless of her getting the order wrong the girl who served us was nice. We will not back.

A lovely location but the food and drinks at the cafe were lackluster, no whipped cream with the cake or the waffles, and, in fact, no toppings on the waffles at all. The iced chocolate was a cold cocoa mix which was good for cooling down but very far from being iced chocolate. There was an issue with card payment that we were not informed of when we started making our orders. The vouchers for free small hot drinks did not contain a description for the limitations of use, which turned out to be only usable for breakfast.

the location is nice, the coffee is good and also the fresh mint tea. however, the price/performance ratio is not given. Mini panecakes (where the name says it all) for €10 are just exorbitant! Inflation and energy prices or not. You had to wait 90 minutes for these pancakes, although there were at least 5 employees in the coffee shop. I would have expected more for the price!

We absolutely loved this cafe / restaurant. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict. The staff was very helpful and worked through our language barrier and even catered to our American need for ice! Bravo to our new favorite spot in Germany with the nicest people!

Update December 2023: We were looking forward to eating some delicious bagels for our family brunch. We ordered seven bagels and two desserts. Sadly, the quality has really deteriorated in the past few years. If I compare bagels from a few years ago, the bagels now are not worth the money. The bagel bread itself is still delicious (outsourced), but the filling is almost non-existent. Three little pieces of arugula, a few tiny pieces of turkey or Pastrami is not enough. The only thing you taste now is the bagel, not the fillings. Really sad. Sadly cannot recommend this restaurant anymore. Review from 2019: Great menu options, prices are good. We tried three different bagels, and were happy with all three. Both smoothies were also fresh and flavorful. They could be a little more attentive to the dirty dishes which were piled up waiting to be washed (for the entire hour we were there). That view from our table wasn't the nicest.

The Bagels & Coffee is located in the popular/touristy neighbourhood of Potsdam. It's 20 minutes walk from here to the Schloss Sans Soucis. I have enjoyed a simple yet hearty breakfast here on a rainy day in June before head out for a day exploration of Potsdam. It's quite chill here to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends as well.

Bagels were good and coffee very good. Was small and a bit loud when full. Was really nice that they had toys for kids, high chair and changing table. Though it was a bit dangerous in the kid area there was an exposed wire that my kid found. Prices were a bit high for a bagel and menus were also on the higher end for what you got. It’s definitely an okay place to visit when up early or need something.

The food is great, every sandwich that I tried was delicious. The cappuccino is one of the best that you can find in Potsdam. I gave only 4⭐️ because the place needs a deep clean and I always see the dust and dirt under the benches. If you stay outside is perfect, you cannot see it.

Nice place place for tasty breakfast (bagels, toasts, eggs, salads). Coffee is not outstanding but good enough. They have small tables outside where you can enjoy morning sun (and some tables inside as well). Nice central location, could be a good start of your Potsdam tour.

It's was Saturday morning when we went to Bagels & Coffee for breakfast. We had a vegan bagel, fried eggs, butter croissant 🥐 with coffee ☕️. I really enjoyed the food and the moody weather ⛅. Highly recommend that you go early before the crowd so that you can enjoy the coffee outside and watch as the street come to live. 😊

very cosy location. in the center of potsdam and old streets and houses. the coffee is exceptionally better than all other cafe I have tested in Germany. its cheese cake and pestatue croissant are remarkable. even if you do not drink coffee , come here for its pasteries. its staffs are well behaved and fast. I bought its coffee beans. it is a bit more expensive in comparison to other coffee bean stores but it worth it.

Wasn't greeted upon arrival. Had to wait standing up while two other people's coffees were being ordered even though wanted to sit at a table whilst my other family members went to the toilet, decided to sit down waiting instead next to counter, then a gentleman came in and just told the lady what he wanted and got served ahead of me, the lady didn't even ask if i wanted to make an order even though i was the only other customer in the shop. Rest of family came out of toilet and were annoyed i hadn't even been able to place an order yet. Annoyed i decided to order for others not myself. At least service was fast and decent coffee machine. Parking was steep, had to pay 0.5 Euro per 10 minutes for parking and walk to Cafe. After all that forgot to go to the toilet there so have to pay 0.5 Euro to go to a public toilet since public toilets aren't free in Germany and no toilet voucher even though we were a spending customer to use when we need to go.

Amazing, cute little place which serves mainly oven potatoes and drinks. Potato was not something I thought of for (late) breakfast, but I was certainly not disappointed! One dish is quite a lot though, and can certainly be shared for a lighter bite. Potatoes are served from 11.30AM. The staff is also very friendly! Would definitely come again.

Fine. I had the Bilbao. It was good overall but lacked more chicken. I honestly doubt there was even 20 grams of chicken there. If you compare it to other places in berlin, you will find it over priced and shy on the amount and diversity of the toppings. I personally would not go there again since I have other places that are more accessible.

Great hidden gem, hidden only because is not on a main road or public place, soft serve ice cream, great price, and right by a park, there was a massive queue which means it's good and moving fast which means is good service, I had the salted caramel Eis. not overly sweet like other places, still really tasty. If they take over the park to place chairs and amenities, they could make a new empire. Will go back to try every flavour. Edit went back every week and still kept on having salted caramel. Great treat right next to my house.

Amazing food, Terrible Service for us. I was there with family and the waiters took forever to respond to even a simple order like water. We received bottled water after 22 minutes of ordering. Everything took so much time it was unbelievable. Although the food was quite well done and tasty, the waiters were really terrible.

Great food but terrible service. The two girls working on Monday 15 at 2pm were terrible. Attitude with slow service. One was very vicious with non German speaker foreigners. There are people should not work with public.

Amazing Cafe at one of the best locations of Potsdam. I had a great time at the cafe as the good was really nice. I’m a Pizza lover and I don’t find pizzas very delicious at most of the places but at Cafe ExtraBlatt it was really delicious (Vegetarian Flamkuchen) also had an Italian wrap. I am a non-German speaker the Servers were very good to me as they were speaking in English to help me, they also suggested few things to me. The Pommes fries was very crispy and very nice. You can sit inside the cafe as it is huge from inside and the decors are really nice, but also outside, the location of this restaurant is really nice. The Apfel Strudel was delicious as well. In short, do try this cafe, you will have an amazing time and an amazing food.

Very friendly and cosy cafe in the heart of Potsdam. Diverse range of drinks, food and cakes on offer here. Would have been 5 stars if only the service was quicker! Free toilet to use too!

Café Extrablatt is a chain restaurant, but don't let that dissuade you from coming here. The portions are big, matching the huge selection in the menu(s). Burgers, wraps, breakfast buffet and tons of drinks are just some of the foods you will find while perusing one of the many different menus. One of the best features is the HUGE courtyard out back full of tables. It's great for meeting with friends or family. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The place is nice and cozy. Just a treat after the museum. Their specialty is Italian food. The food is fine, i tried Aglio e Olio Pasta, it was fine. I can come back here for a special occasion, but not a place I'll visit continuously. The prices are a bit high to be pasta, but overall is ok.

First! The best staff! So sweet and service minded! The food was very good. We hade the carpaccio as a starter- very good! It was a lot! My partner had veal liver-pdta and loved it. My ravioli with goatcheese cream was slightly over cooked, a little minus, but the rest was very nice!

Delicious food, nice location, friendly staff. Ginger tea. I’m crying. Real ginger slices 🥹. Giant “small” salad! Delicious sautéed mushrooms, beautiful on its own. The house dressing is vinegar-based and tasty too. The bright yellow tagliatelle! The veal liver chunks are so good, perfect size and not tender. The apple and golden roasted onion adds a delightful crunchiness. The sweet-savory marjoram spiced sauce isn’t too heavy. Is there also kumquat? (The portion is gigantic so I had to prioritize the sacrificed animal..) Lovely indoor and outside— not too late in mid September. The hearty fish pot also sounds so nice! Next time!!

Food, Service and Ambiance is great. Be prepared though when sitting inside that you'll smell like food afterwards. Totally worth it, but good to know none the less. Also: make a reservation.

I came here for a brunch recently and the food was outstanding! We had both the non vegetarian and the vegetarian options and it was more than enough for two people. The staff is also very friendly. Highly recommended and I'll definitely go there again!

This was right across the street from my hotel so we thought we give it a go it was good I had salad with Cheese Pasta with pesto the (pumpkin soup was delicious ) Apperal spritz was good ginger tea was good had one dip of mango sorbet The waitress was very lovely she spoke English she was professional and very helpful outdoor indoor seating

This place looks like a local restaurant without too many tourists. Waitress cannot speak English but sweet. We are not force of to give a specific percentage tips like other tourist restaurants. Food is okay.

Classic German fare served in a unique rooftop dining area. The visuals of the city are superb. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor off a building on the main shopping street. The outdoor seating on their rooftop terrace is amazing, opening up beautiful views of Potsdam. The food also very delicious, I tried their Wiener schnitzel with local mushrooms that were in season. Would highly recommend this place!

A nice upscale restaurant serving traditional German food. The rooftop views of Potsdam are great when the weather is good. The had our reserved table ready promptly at the reservation time.

We always go there with our family. One of the few places where we always get a super delicious vegetarian dish! Very friendly staff, prices are ok too. The location on the roof top with a nice view over Potsdam is great too. Also more quiet compared to restaurants on the Brandenburger Str. Last time I had the best pumpkin carrot curry ever! Meat dishes are also great according to my family😊

I went there for the first time last week. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxed and the food was sooo yummy! I ordered a teriyaki salmon bowl and a homemade Alex lemonade and they were soooo good! 😊🥰

Somebody on the street in Potsdam recommended this place to us for a milchkaffee. We went in for lunch. It is in a shopping mall and does not look like a fancy restaurant from the outside. Inside though, the service was super and very friendly. The menu was actually a booklet, such choice they offered! The milchkaffee was indeed excellent and so was the food we ordered. It was not expensive either. This is really a super high-quality place that needs to be discovered!

Hi every one Today i was Alex potsdam I love this concept for breakfast cuz there is many option for eating and enjoy As omelets 🍳 and bacon 🥓 and many different cheeses 🧀 and salami and many different bread many kind marmalade Personal really friendly About wc Is clean and just they have kind of air dryers for hand and that will really take time to dry hands, i think if they can put or arrange some place to put paper to dry hand will be more convenient And about hand sanitizer was completely empty but rest was really good About buffet there was just something strange They put plate of fruit and that plate around 10:30 was completely empty even the time of breakfast on Saturday and Sunday they have till 12:00 service I love that place Good location Good atmosphere Will visit there again very soon Today is 14.08.2022 I visit this branch of alex again and everything was really good as before but 1 strange things happened and that was all kind of bread 🍞 and croissant 🥐 was almost old maybe for 1 day before I asked waiter he said is fresh for today but i ate in many alex shop and i know which bread if fresh and which one is old Hope they can fix this problem I will visit this shop and check everything again

Schnitzel and fish and chips Schnitzel was okay but the portion is quite small and 16 euro for such small is it quite expensive. Not that great too Sweet potato was really nice and the sauce along with too. Fish and chips is more of chips than fish. It felt like chef couldn't catch enougt fish for the day so he loaded with chips lol. But fish chips taste was super! Its quite expensive tbh I find not worth it to eat but great place to hangout with your friend or partner. Calm and cozy

Disgusting place, the co-workers were really disrespectfull and they literally told us to leave the place because we bought eis "zum Mitnehmen" (literally no one was there sitting 💀🤞). With this i'm just trying to say that the ice-cream in there ain't worth it.

Stopped here for ice cream sundaes. Not cheap but very nice. Treat yourself! :)

The place is really nice Italian restaurant in the city center of Potsdam. With great outdoor tables 😎 The greatest thing about this place is they have the menu for kids (smaller portions). The staff is nice and the kids orders came quickly 😀 The pizza is thin and fresh 😋 we ordered 2 different pizza, and they were great. Sophia Loren pizza was extremely tasty, the combination between salmon and fresh cream was awesome. This is the first time I tried it and love it. For the table service, when we arrived we got immediately a basket of fresh bread and Parmesan cheese with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Overall, the place is nice, food is good, and it is recommended 👌

Located on the main Street in the walking zone, this was not so busy Italian restaurant. The staff here was helpful and service was fast. We had ordered a pizza, spaghetti and house wine. Service was very fast. We loved the food as we very hungry.

Let us begin with the matter of food quality. The cakes were quite good, though not particularly memorable. We sampled the cheesecake, the Snickers cake, and a rhubarb cake — the latter was by far the most enjoyable. The coffee, on the other hand, was rather unremarkable. I do, however, have some serious concerns regarding the service. The woman who took our order made a mistake and failed to include one of the coffees. When we brought this to her attention and requested the missing coffee, we were informed that card payments are only accepted for amounts of 10 euros or more. While I understand that this may be part of the café’s policy, it was a rather frustrating experience — especially considering that we had just placed an order totaling 40 euros, the oversight was not on our part, and yet we were unable to add a single coffee and pay for it by card. Eventually, the waitress consulted with the manager, and the issue was resolved without further difficulty. Still, the situation felt awkward and unnecessarily uncomfortable. From a café with a 4.8 rating, I had expected a higher standard of service.

Great for working, staff was very friendly. Food and coffee is prepared and presented beautifully. This is not a place for people in a hurry, they will destroy the mood of the guests that come here to have a nice experience.

I asked for a cake and they gave to me dripping, with a hair inside which I took out. They wouldn't take the cake back because they didn't see the hair. I couldn't eat the cake so I don't know how it was, It looked tasty despite the messiness, but half of it fell on the table because it couldn't hold its shape. I ended up packing it and gave it to a homeless dude., I hope they liked it. The manager obviously did not believe me. Other people in the café who saw the cake and me taking the hair out were looking pitifully at the situation and tried to help. It was very awkward. Also, it's important to mention that their Happy Cow page isn't updated. Closed on Sundays, no WiFi. When I asked if I can work on my laptop there the manager said that I can sit there only for one hour. So, wouldn't recommend working from there.

We live a little bit away and ended up just under 30 minutes early to an empty restaurant. He expressed how we were early and it’s his restaurant. Not sure why he commented whose place it was, but was even rude as a local. Our table was dirty upon arrival. We asked if we could wipe it off and he let us know it was his job to wipe it. I politely asked if someone else had eaten there today, and he let me know the table was dirty from the night before. So he failed his job the night before. It was abnormal because normally locals make things look new upon closing for the evening. He spoke fluent English and refused to give our young child a kids meal and the menu, although we asked for kinder, even lists it as “kids”. He told us they don’t have them, and I pointed it out on the menu. The food was good for adults, but not good customer service and the refusals for something as simple as just a quesadilla with cheese only was too much for the “owner”. So, poor customer service and dirty tables. Added photo of enchilada. Didn’t taste bad, but that is not an enchilada.

This is a great place to meet friends and have an enjoyable meal together. The left side has the bar, and the right side is a separate room, which is nice and feels like a private room. The prices are good, and the food fresh and served warm. If you are looking for really authentic Mexican food, you might be a little disappointed (therefore 4 stars), but it still tastes good.

Our visit to Potsdam was wonderful and after a long day of touring the cherry on top was this restaurant! The staff is really friendly and good at their job. The food is extraordinary. Really delicious Mexican dishes with quality ingredients and at a fairly cheap price. And the staff even let me charge my phone while we ate. The restaurant is near one of the most beautiful locations in Potsdam so you'll not only eat good but get a good view too. Overall I can happily recommend the restaurant if you want a good portion of delicious Mexican food with nice atmosphere.

There were almost no dips in containers served with our dish - just some salsa in the bottom. Drinks were prepared badly and cream felt diluted (cutting costs??). The environment is super nice but food and drinks not worth this price! It was a much better place before corona.

When I saw the very bad comments about service speed and staff I was hesitant but as a Potsdam local not a tourist, I wanted to give them a chance. Well, wish I didn't. Service speed and order is another level which I have never experienced. 1.Starter came after main dish and when we asked why, waiter stated that we should point out that nachos, which is in the starters part in the menu, that is a starter and we want it upfront. 2.We ordered fajita, they arrived and about after 10 min (literally because at one point i started to count minutes) came the tortilla. 3. Also ordered quesadilla, it came with rice filling which was more of enchiladas. We stated that and waiter cancelled the quesadilla without questioning. 4. When tortillas over we asked for the second part, which we never received and after 25 min cancelled because fajita was already cold. Our waiter was a super kind guy. He was literally doing his best and as we spoke I learnt that he is a temporary outsource from a company to help. Saddest part was, despite being expensive even in Potsdam standarts, the food was good. Not mind blowing but definitely neither bad nor mediocre. Therefore 1 star goes for taste and other one goes to our waiter. Pity.

We found this wonderful Cafe on a rainy day in December, and was treated to some very freshly made and delicious paninis. Washed down with Earl Grey tea and a freshly squeezed orange juice. A very peaceful place to enjoy the warm hospitality of your host.

Absolute scam!! Don't come here! You order through an automatic system via QR code, you pay immediately, after not receiving the food nor drinks for hours they tell you they never accepted the order! Upon showing our payment and the receipt of the order, the waiter still couldn't find our order in the system. He was the only waiter on a sunny and busy holiday, trying to do his best but the place was severely understaffed and the system faulty. We were given a business card to try calling and get the refund by ourself (70€) but they didn't reply to our calls because today is a holiday. I repeat, don't go to this place!!

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. It took them one full hour just to bring us our drinks, and after one hour and a half we still hadn’t even been asked for our food order. Meanwhile, we noticed that the staff kept serving people who had arrived well after us. In the end, we had no choice but to leave without eating. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place based on our experience.

Arty Cafe with small but extremely tasty selection of cakes. Seating also available on the green overgrown front yard. Peaceful and very relaxed atmosphere off the crowds. Within short walking distance of the lovely "Neuer Garten".

Apart from the very colorful design that really lifts your mood in autumn and winter especially, we enjoyed the delicious food and coffee and, most of all, the very attentive service that is so hard to find nowadays. They have good variety of coffee and cakes. We will definitely come back!

Cold coffees , coin sized macrons 😞 The shop was listed on the Neo Taste app, but the working lady had no idea how the app works. Very poor experience and quite disappointing. The macarons are barely the size of a 1€ coin and definitely not worth the 2€ price. We ordered four hot drinks, but unfortunately, they arrived as if cold milk had just been poured into hot water. We are extremely disappointed. In today’s world, both customers and companies can easily overcome language barriers using tools like Google Translate. So, it’s important to remain respectful and remember that the customer is always king.

A True passionate ICE maker!

Do not bother!!!!!! My husband and I call this the „floaty“ cafe because it’s the most disorganized cafe I’ve ever been to in my life. Constant changeover of staff, useless service, unhygienic and long waiting times! The wooden terrace is broken so my husband‘s chair got stuck in the gap. We told them and no one seemed to be bothered. As a gluten-free person, this is the only place in Potsdam I can go to to enjoy a slice of cake. No more! We have been here so many times (and have spent sooo much money because it’s quite expensive). Today was the final straw. I was waiting in the queue and was ignored by 3 different women because they were dealing with a very rude person who had pushed in front of me and she wanted to make an order. I tried to say something and was cut off. D: I was sick of waiting so we walked out and went to the cafe (La Leander) over the road (much better service!!) They are USELESS. We would have ordered our wedding cake from here and paid hundreds. Not now, we will be ordering from Eis Voh in Berlin for our gf cake.

When was the last time you had a good experience at a "cash only" place? Yep, for me they're a consistent sign of the "its not about you, it's about me" school of entrepreneurship. Sadly, one more example. The pretty room leads me to think I'm going to have an experience as homey as a new England b&b hostess. Mistaken. After ordering, I'm told that (despite an empty cafe) I'd be required to come to the counter and fetch my own meal...having done so, I was as shocked as that bloke in "The crying game" (oh, spoiler alert). The microwaved quiche had a flavour and odour of the wrong version of egg. The arugula was good, and the sour cream as bland as it was excessive. The iced chocolate was the worst I've ever had or seen...yes, even worse that the one mum used to pass off by mixing some random not-chocolate powder into decent milk and adding enough ice cubes. It wasn't good, but it was cold and milky. This was neither, and the chocolate was an influence rather than a dominant flavour. Sad really, it has potential.

dreadful cafe, coffee overpriced and in return what awaits you is dull atmosphere, no music, silent like in a graveyard; i was there a few times as i had to wait for a friend who was using the library. when sitting there an older lady told me off as i was talking on the phone !!!!my suggestion the owner puts up a banner in front of the cafe such as ´please be silent´. such a disgrace....why should a person want to pay far too much money for a coffee and then be siting in a graveyard atmosphere..... most of the cafes here in Potsdam are a real disaster compared to he cafe culture where i come from......we love it lively, funny, communicative and just socializing.....

I came here with my friends and was so disappointed and mad we ordered caramel macchiato which was so bad there were chunks inside and it was watery , the latte coffee tasted like milk only and ice chai latte tasted like water with a tiny hint of cinnamon (tasted more like ginger).

A very small pot of tea for 4,50 seems overpriced. The cake that I tried, pear and ginger had no ginger, very little pear and lots of very heavy dough. Not good at all

Very nice oasis. Came late to check out the Gallery, but cakes were good. Big variety of cakes. Didn’t try the dishes though. Maybe some other time. I go rarely in that part of Berlin, but if whatever brings you there, try out this place, it’s very nice.

Lovely interesting area with plants vegetables and ceramics as well as an art gallery. The cafe offers a lovely selection- enjoyed my first ever slice of Friesentorte and it won’t be my last! Have to say it’s all a bit pricey compared with other places I’ve been to so do expect a bit of a premium. My cake and coffee was nearly €12. But still. It was delicious and so nice to sit in the sun.

The Café is situated at the rear of Mutter Forage behind the garden centre near the art gallery and theatre. We visited twice recently. They have good menu and amazing cakes. A breakfast menu is available until 2pm. Staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely place to sit and chat, in- and outdoor seating is available. Car parking is available opposite at Stadion Wannsee. There are a number of bike stands close by, however bikes are not permitted on the property.

It's a good place to hangout with your friends and family. They also sell some plants and veggies, and gallery to visit! P.s. you must try their black forest cake. It's the best that I've ever tasted

One of the best ice cream shops in town! Their ice cream is delicious, fresh, local and their service friendly, competent and welcoming. There is usually a rather large line here for very good reasons! I highly recommend die Eisfrau! Plus they have a location in Potsdam West and one in Babelsberg.

I love ice cream with my whole heart and this is the place to eat the best ice cream in Potsdam. There are standard, favourite flavors like chocolate, pistachio, mango, butter carmel etc, and some flavours that are changing all the time. Lemon with Basil, dark chocolate and grapefruit are my favorite!

I live in Potsdam and enjoy the EisFrau when I go. I love ice cream a ton and thought the quality would not be as good as in the states. However I really like the ice they serve at the EisFrau and have not had a bad flavor yet! Also the staff always have smiles on their faces and are quite friendly.

Okay ice cream for 1.5 Euros per scoop. Friendly staff who spoke English and explained the different flavors to me. Quite small portions though for the price.

The donuts were very nicely decorated and looked very delicious, so the price didn't surprise me. Unfortunately, when I got home and cut the donuts, I was very disappointed when I saw that both donuts were exactly the same, the first chocolate icing had fallen off both of them and there was a different icing underneath. The taste of the donuts is very ordinary, like from a supermarket.

These donuts are definitely better than any chain or train donut. Several different fillings and toppings. The staff was unfortunately not that motivated to explain all of them even though we were the only customers. Maybe use tags instead... I was at a very similar donut shop in a different city just this month and the difference in customer service was just too striking.

Eigentlich nichts ungewöhnliches, ein Schild weißt darauf hin dass es 4 verschiedene Sorten gibt, die Bedienung (nicht deutsch) Verstand zunächst nicht was wir wollten, eine kleinere Dame aus dem Hintergrund rief dann : " haben wir nicht" , damit war es abgetan ! Meine Frau bestellte sich dann 3 Kugeln im Becher und hätte dazu gerne ein Eierlikör gehabt. Kein Problem, oder doch ??? Die Wundertüten kosten jeweils 5,50 € für die 3 Kugeln meiner Frau mit Eierlikör sollte sie dann 7,50 € bezahlen !? Die Mathematik scheint hier ein Fremdwort zu sein ! Die kleinere Frau im Hintergrund meldete sich dann zu Wort, weil die Bedienung vorne die kein Deutsch verstand sich zu ihr wandte und dann war der Basar eröffnet : 7 €....6,50 € zum Schluss dann 6 €, trotzdem noch zu teuer, nach meinen Einwänden, zu Recht denn der Preis steht ja auf dem Schild ! Zusätzlich mit Streusel und einer Waffel in Herzform. Hier ist offenbar Betrug an der Tagesordnung. ??
