The first time I came to the DIA I was suprised to see they had a native American wing. Michigan is home to a few tribes. Was bummed to see nothing about the local tribes there. I asked a docent " you have so many local tribes one being the largest remaining tribe in the united states and there is no mention of them " is there some reason why? I know most museums repatriated a lot so injust said i think your really missing out on showcasing the art of the ojiibwe the rest of the annishinabeeg tribes. Some ofntheor art and embroidery is stunning. That was in 2023. 2025 im on public radio and I hear your opening an exhibit of a contemporary indigenous ojibwe artist? Wow. That's really cool im impressed. I love the DIA but now I really dig ya! Keep on getting better and giving me good reasons to come in. By the way their open sketch is way cool! Thank you DIA your one of a thousand reasons ill never move out of this city!

Beautiful building filled with great art and historic artifacts. Only spent 3 hours in there so I didn't get the chance To explore the whole thing, it's definitely worth another trip or 2 to really take everything in. The Cafe was super busy by the time I got hungry so I skipped it but it looks like a nice relaxing courtyard to take a break in if you're planning on spending the whole day there. The Diego Rivera mural is truly a masterpiece. Shout out the lovely Michelle at the front desk!!!

It was a dream of mine to visit this museum one day. I finally got the opportunity while visiting the University of Michigan and had some hours to kill while waiting for my flight. The access was very quick and the staff gladly took out carry on luggage and bags at the cost check so we could visit the place, something other museums don’t usually do. The place was even more magnificent than I imagined and crowds were light on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The store is also worth noting, since I collect museum catalogues I purchased one and was pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices, compared to New York or Paris, where you can find world-class museums such as this one.

I could have spent days and days here. Loved all of it. Every single piece of art. So much to take in. So many things to do, not just look at beautiful art! Workshops, preformacnes, two delicious places to eat, and an amazing gift shop that is its own art gallery. So much fun, I cant wait to go back.

Exceeded expectations! A very cool collection. Spent a few hours there. I especially liked the boards they had up near some of the paintings explaining what you're looking at. If limited on time I'd start on floor 2, then do floor 3, then 1. Great vibes! 20$ per person. Wayne County residents are free with ID. Bought tickets there. Parking was 8 $ nearby.

Visited with my mom and had a great time. She uses a wheelchair and we didn't have any difficulty getting around the building. The docents were extremely helpful and friendly. This museum has one of the best collections of the old masters in the Midwest. Rembrandt, Rubens, Titian, plus Holbein and Van Eyck. The Impressionist and modern art were mostly off view due to current renovations. So we will have to come back for sure! Even without everything on display, the museum is well worth the visit.

Tigers game!! Comerica Park is a great place to take in a baseball game with something for everyone. There is a carousel and Ferris wheel for kids and those young at heart. There are plenty of bars for the over 21 crowd. It is an airy stadium that managed to stay cool in the shade despite a very warm Detroit day. Sight lines are great from every seat. They have a newer type of netting for fan protection that is more transparent and less obstructive of viewing the game. 100% recommend!

Great experience and view, while waiting for the game to start I recommend going to the Farris wheel. The seats inside the stadium are very comfortable and quality. The food is great, especially the hotdogs. Overall I recommend going and buy tickets in advance.

Hadn't been in about 3 years and my bf had never been! The baseball ferris wheel was a lot of fun at only 2 dollars! I wish it had a better view / view of the field ideally. There's so much to do outside of watching the game. Come prepared to over spend on food. We payed 6 dollars for bottled water. We went on August 23rd. The tigers played against the KC royals and won 4-2! Great game to watch! Go tigers!!!!🐯

The stadium is fabulous the food was great . It had everything for everyone. Young ,old and in between. There is a ferris wheel 🎡 and a merry-go-round in the stadium. The BBQ is some of the best i have had at a baseball park . Seats were spaced out right for a comfortable rest as you watched the game .

Great seats, friendly staff, and an coverall great experience! We had family in town from out of state and they wanted to see the Tigers play. We were able to secure some tickets on the first baseline about a week before the game. We enjoyed showing them Tigers stadium and downtown Detroit for the first time. It was unbearably hot, but the Tigers won! Cant wait to go back.

This is MOTOWN so there's not much to say because the history speaks for itself. To see and hear about the history in person was a great experience. There are plenty of facts to learn about Motown that will surprise you. To see the original items and hear the back stories is captivating. Viewing the wall with the album covers was interesting because I still have 11 of those albums. The staff was courteous and friendly. The tour guide kept you informed and interested throughout the tour. They are in the process of expanding, so it will become even more intriguing.

So I really wanted to give this place five stars however be aware that it is a very short tour and when they have accomplished their new building I am sure I will be coming back to edit. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and we definitely learned a lot. My aunt who I was there with is high functioning autistic so people sometimes dont notice and I felt like the tour guide was a little short with her. The tour I believe last less than hour and the end of it getting to walk through such an iconic studio is very cool. The gift shop is well stocked and what made this place was the knowledge of the tour guide. I feel that with out her I would have not really learned much and as I said even though she was a little short with my Aunt I will not take away from her knowledge, her enthusiam, and cadence was superb.

Pure history! highly recommended. By tickets in advance is a MUST. In 2024 i tried to walked-in 4 tickets and they were sold out!. This year 2025 i got my tickets in advance through the web site and it was easy and affordable. There are guided tours only but they give you enough time and space to walk around, enjoy the exhibits and take pictures. No videos allowed. Street park and highly get the app before your arrial time, i had luck and found a free parking spot in a nerby street. You can feel the history in this walls, it is an amazing life experience. I dont recall the name of my guide but he was so easy going, fun, entretained, the best.

Absolutely essential to visit. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. And a performer in the best possible way. Thought we knew alot but learned so much more! Also. A woman on our tour had worked there in the early 1970s. This was her first return... 2025!

Such a historical beauty! The neighborhood is well maintained. While we did not go inside, the grounds were manicured and the staff appeared to be engaged with the customers in a positive way. Side street parking is available, but there may be a short walk on a busy day. Do not park in the funeral home parking lot next door. I admire the work being put into maintaining this historical gem.

I did the tour and it was very interesting. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun. The history was amazing and hearing the stories brought the place to life. The grounds were well kept and really made you feel the vibe of Motown. I learned so much and would highly recommend the tour.

This is Quite a Gem in the Travels that I have found. It was a fine Thursday evening with jazz music in the background. It was quaint with all the nice furniture that shown excellence even in the wait staff Very professional top notch and very attentive like I was in a really nice steakhouse. I did sit at the bar and Julia (I think that’s what I remember) was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of and the Italian food was so delicious as I had the pepper chicken with angel hair pasta in a nice creme sauce. It came with soup. I had dessert to end my meal off with a mocha cheesecake to die for!

We had a group of 12 of us that went in for dinner before a show at the Fox Theatre. It was fairly easy to get reservations of that size which was lovely. Andiamo’s is located inside the Renaissance center.The restaurant is beautifully decorated with the view of Canada across the river. It gives off elegant, high-end restaurant vibes. Frankee and Ahmed were our servers. They did a wonderful job with recommendations. I went in with one flavor in mind and ended up picking one of the specials instead, based on Frankee’s recommendation. Instead of Bolognese lasagna, I got a delicious lobster tail, scallops, shrimp with a side of the best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was cooked perfectly with delicious flavors and tenderness as you expect with seafood. I’ve been to a couple other locations and in my opinion, this one was the best so far. Every single person at our table was raving about their food and how nice the place was. Highly recommending this for groups, date, nights, and anything in between.

The meal began with Gamberetti di Andiamo, a composition of colossal shrimp, tender yet assertively seared, bathed in a lemon-tomato broth fragrant with white wine, garlic, and softened leeks. The toasted sourdough, given more than a passing thought, offered a rustic foil to the bright, aromatic sauce. A dish that plays to both northern restraint and southern exuberance in equal measure. Bread service, often overlooked elsewhere, here became something of a ceremony. Warm breads and crispy sticks accompanied by a vibrant olive oil infusion punched up with garlic, cracked pepper, and herbs just bruised enough to release their oils. It set a generous tone, one that carried forward throughout the meal. The house salad was a quiet triumph of simplicity. Crisp field greens, ribbons of carrot, cool garbanzo beans, cucumber, and tomato, all pulled together by a creamy garlic dressing that whispered rather than shouted. Pasta e Fagioli arrived humble in presentation but deeply rooted in flavor. White beans, sausage, and greens melding into a rustic, soul-warming broth. It is the sort of dish that could just as easily have come from a grandmother’s kitchen in Emilia-Romagna as from a polished kitchen in downtown Detroit. The centerpiece, a ten-ounce filet cooked precisely to medium, was as well-executed as any steakhouse might promise. Elevated here by its companions, tender scallops, a meaty portobello cap, fingerling potatoes roasted just to the edge of crisp, and asparagus kissed by heat until its bitterness mellowed into something sweet and green. Dessert was a restrained finish. A tart raspberry sorbet, bright and palate-cleansing, followed by a cappuccino of admirable structure. Dense crema, deeply roasted notes, and no trace of bitterness. The detail that sealed it was almost whispered into the experience. A delicate stick of rock candy offered as a stirrer. It was not just charming. It was considered. The sort of flourish that speaks not to trend, but to tradition and intention. Service, too, deserves its due. Mike H, my server, struck that delicate balance between discretion and attentiveness. His recommendations were unforced and well-considered, and his timing impeccable. Never rushed, never distant. Andiamo Riverfront is no stranger to high expectations, bearing the name and pedigree of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group. But it is not merely riding on legacy. This is a restaurant that still believes in the ceremony of dining, an ethos built not just on what is on the plate, but how it is offered. Our first visit to Andiamo was made amazing by Mike H. He was attentive, explained everything amazingly, and did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome. My boyfriend and I were so elated to celebrate our anniversary with Mike H and the team. I can’t wait to return for more delicious food and cocktails

Our meal was one of the best meals we have ever eaten out. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server, Frankie, was so friendly and we spent a little time chatting about Detroit and cooking. She is very personable and added to our enjoyment of the meal. Whenever we are back in Detroit, we will be coming to Andiamos!

Mike P was a great server. He was friendly and paid attention to detail and recommended the best drinks and food. It was my husband and I’s anniversary and he gave us space and only came over when it looked like we needed something. Also, the owner Mike Nowinski was friendly and took the time to visit each table, you can tell he loves what he’s doing. We’ll definitely be back!

It's a beautiful island park with amazing views of Canada, the Detroit River and skyline. There’s something for everyone. They have walking trails, picnic spots, a beach, aquarium, a huge playground, food trucks , and even a historic fountain. P.S. Don’t try the lemonade from this place it was NASTY!

Reasons why it's five stars: • The aquarium, we'll taken care of aquatic life. Clean, free, and informative. • Plant life, the green houses are beautiful well taken care of. I believe it is all volunteer based so that is even nicer. • I didn't use the bathrooms but just like any public bathrooms, I'm sure they are a hit or a miss. • Lots of walking, bike riding, picnic areas. Pretty buildings, ponds, and nature. Worth a check out. Will go again!

This place has so much potential to be a 5 star location but it appears to be so neglected. No good clean working restrooms. Lots of trash everywhere and some of the people there had loud music. We wanted to relax by the water and enjoy the good weather but it was impossible.

Always a fun experience so relaxing. The sand the water are so relaxing as well. Me and my family try to come here as many times as possible. Perfect place to grill and enjoy family time. With plenty of grills and picnic areas. Definitely recommend for anyone to come and relax. Definitely need to come back again. Watching the sunset here is AMAZING 😍 ☀️

A big island with lots of activities to do and experience including a conservatory, aquarium, boathouse, fishing, beach and a light house at the other end of the island. We didn't have time to do most of the acitivities which are fun and free

Nice, indoor football stadium near downtown Detroit that hosts the Lions and other events. Plenty of parking is located nearby and there are attractions in the area too so it is in a good location. There are a lot of restaurants around so if you want to eat before or after going to the stadium, you will have plenty of choices in that regard. The walkability to and from the stadium is nice and it being surrounded by so many other options is a plus when you visit. Overall, it is a good venue.

Hard to beat our first experience to Ford Field. Stadium was fantastic. Entertainment was awesome. Didn’t hurt that the Lions put a beat down on the Bears. Everything was super expensive, but that was no surprise. Can’t wait to go back.

My first time at Ford Field, for a Detroit Lions game, and it was amazing! It was clean, easy to get in, out, and around, the security people were thorough, but still friendly while doing their jobs - I never felt UN-safe. Compared to old Cobo, and Joe Lewis, it felt more open and airy. I had a great experience tonight and can't wait to go back!

I took my nephew, a huge Lions fan, to the preseason game on August 16, 2025, and we had such a great time! The staff, both outside and inside the stadium, were extremely helpful — they guided us to our seats and even helped us find the food stands we were looking for. We enjoyed some pizza and snacks while watching the Lions battle it out on the field. The atmosphere inside Ford Field was absolutely electric, and it made the whole experience unforgettable. I love Ford Field! The roar from the crowd is heart pounding! I took a star away only because of pricing. The food was way too expensive! 1 slice of pizza was $12 and one slice of cheese cake was $15. I restroom were clean and plenty of supplies. I recommend this place 100 %. The People Mover is a great experience with good views of downtown and the river.

The Detroit People Mover is such a helpful and convenient way to get around downtown, and the fact that it’s free makes it even better. It’s clean, easy to use, and saves a lot of walking between key spots in the city. Whether you’re a visitor or a local, it’s a great way to see Detroit from a different perspective while getting where you need to go quickly. Free, efficient, and a real asset to the city.

For only 75 cents you can take a little ride around downtown Detroit. I'll admit, we took it for the scenic tour above ground. This station is where we boarded. We rode once around the full circuit, then another half to get back to where we parked. The art at the stations was nice, but the stations themselves could have been a little bit cleaner. Still, Detroit wound up being a lot cooler than I thought it would be, and the People Mover helped.

Convenient on-street parking at $1.00 per hour within a block of this station. And at 75 cents for an as-long-as-you-like ride around downtown Detroit, the People Mover is ideal for anyone who wants to become familiar with the city before beginning a walking tour.

What a pleasant surprise! I stumbled upon a paid tour while walking through the lobby I made some inquiries and found that they do tours all day but if you take any of the tours after 4pm you get a special treat. You get to go up to the top floor which has gorgeous views all round the city. But what was really spectacular was the tour guide. He shared history of the building, of the city and of the architecture in the area. Be ready to walk and get ready to also go into the basement where you'll get to see and step inside a bank vault. Totally worth the 60 mins. I recommend the tour for anyone that's walked by this building and has always been curious about the unusual architecture. Also don't forget tip your tour guide.

The historical architecture and design are absolutely out of this world and one of a kind. The details are amazing. I suggest one go see it for oneself and take a good camera. The building is open 7 days a week, equipped with a public bathroom and there's a nice little gift shop with all things Détroit and all things Michigan.

First time visiting Detroit. The Art Deco styled Guardian Building is stunningly beautiful! Our Detroit City Tour originated and ended here. I highly recommend visiting this architectural treasure! The City Tour (tickets purchased online in advance) was very worthwhile and informative of the city’s history and current plans for the future.

I was thrilled to walk around inside this historic and splendid building. The paintings recorded the history and prosperity of this city. The first floor was free to visit, but we could not go upstairs.

Absolutely stunning Art Deco architecture — they call it the “Cathedral of Finance” and it’s easy to see why. The lobby is free to visit and worth every minute: colorful Pewabic tile work, massive vaulted ceilings covered in bold patterns, stained glass windows that glow when the sun hits, and the ornate metal gate with the clock at the banking hall. Great photo spot and easy to walk to from other downtown landmarks (Spirit of Detroit, The Fist, Campus Martius). If you want more history, there’s a guided “Insider’s Tour” available (~$12). 📸 Tip: Stand in the center of the lobby and shoot straight up for the best ceiling shot.

The architecture here is really impressive and I can see why it was designated as a historical landmark. If you're heading towards Hart Park its worth a stop.

A must see fabulous show of Art Deco. The railings, elevator doors, steps, windows, ceiling, clock, ..... everything perfectly done.

Gone but not forgotten. These are photos that i took about a month apart as they were tearing joe louis down. So many fond memories as a child here. I was in shock when i first saw it almost torn down. I'm still in aww that's it's gone for ever. A little piece of me was also torn down. It's on an amazing piece of land. i enjoyed telling my kids story's about all the hockey games i went to as a child as we went around it in the monarail. Good times from back in the day!

Took my son to one of the last games played here. We attended the Saturday (4/8/17) night game, the last game was Sunday night. Had to wait to post this until it was clear, almost forgot to post our attendance. I risked getting in trouble to take my son, was worth it: Still got in trouble.

It's the JOE! You have to experience this ice arena if you are a TRUE RED WING Fan. You gotta love it! The atmosphere and the roar of the crowd is undescribable for us.

While its age shows quite a bit, the history and atmosphere inside is incredible. A must for any Red Wings fan before they tear it down. I also highly recommend the tour, as it allows you access to places you can't normally see. One of the great things about the Arena itself is that there are no bad seats, even in the last row.

Sure, it's an older stadium, but "if those walls could talk" - oh, the stories of joy and excitement they'd tell. There really isn't a seat with a terrible view in the entire arena. You don't need front-row tickets to the enjoy the game. If you're a hockey fan, definitely worth visiting and appreciating the history. It won't be standing forever.

Sadly I never got the chance to see this one of a kind historic venue or experience a Red Wings game here, let alone a historic post season game. So sad to see it go, it's the Cincinnati Red's Riverfront stadium all over again, at least I saw a game or two there before it was gone. Also the Wings will not win a postseason game in the new Arena, because sometimes this happens when a team moves into a new venue after having tons of success in the old one.

When I visit Detroit, this is the building I love walking inside and also on the international riverfront. This complex of seven buildings is the most important skyscraper of the Motor City. The Renaissance Center is a Detroit landmark. I highly recommend visiting this iconic building when you visit the city, especially if you are Chevrolet (GM) fan!

Loved the city view from the 60th floor. Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was a cut above. Rooms are small, especially the bathrooms. But we loved the floor to ceiling, wall to wall exterior window. Amazing!

Definitely a very cool and unique building. It is definitely worth exploring the lobby and the area with all of the cool cars on display. Also having a Detroit people mover station right next to the building with a connecting tunnel is very convenient as well. I also like the very unique and futuristic architecture of the building The hotel and the restaurants in the building are also really good.

We are having such an awesome experience here! Excellent hotel right next to the river walk, and restaurants inside, including Panera. Apple Bees/iHOP is right outside and VERY reasonably priced - $13 for a plate of mashed potatoes/broccoli/chicken breast and $5 for a plate of 3 small-ish pancakes. Anyway - we are staying in room 6419 and the view is INSANE! The entire Detroit is visible from our windows and the sunset/sunrise is absolutely GORGEOUS! If you have a chance to stay at this room, or request it, you won’t regret it! There’s a restaurant on the 70? Floor that has the entire view of Detroit as well. We are dining there today and I’ll post a review if it lives up to expectations. It’s $90 per person with a $25 cancellation fee per person. Highly recommend staying at this hotel! You can see Canada from across the river too. You can even make a trip there (bring the passport, of course).

I love it! The GM Renaissance Center is truly the heartbeat of Detroit – a perfect blend of modern architecture, history, and innovation. The views of the riverfront are breathtaking, the atmosphere is vibrant, and you can feel the Motor City spirit in every corner. Whether you’re here for business, sightseeing, or just to soak in the skyline, this place captures the essence of Detroit like nowhere else. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the real energy of the city!

A really interesting place to visit if you have the time. All of the current GM models are on the ground floor, as well as some heritage vehicles. The riverwalk is accessible through the back of the building. There are several dining options and a post office, but these tend to be closed outside of business hours. There is a restroom available. Overall very much worth checking out if you are in Detroit.

Absolutely beautiful. Me and my dad came all the way from Texas to come see the henry ford nearby and the GM RenCen, and I have no regrets at all. The view of Canada from the wintergarden is absolutely eye catching. I loved seeing GM World too as we got to get a close-up look of new GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac models. Amazing tourist attraction and place to walk around

Have seen multiple shows here and always love the venue... easy to get to, beautiful renovations, simply iconic theater.

Wife and I saw the red clay Strays there last week. I've seen about 200 + concerts in my life. In venues across a dozen states and I have to say this is the best concert venue I've ever been to. Absolutely amazing, 5 stars, we highly recommend it.

Review of the Fox Theatre – Downtown Detroit The Fox Theatre is always a stunning place to spend an evening. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—historic, elegant, and full of character. The crowd was wonderfully diverse, with all ages represented and everything from jeans to full formalwear, which gave the night a very open, inclusive, and hip energy. The performance overall was great, and most of the sound throughout the show was solid. However, the acoustics were unexpectedly off during a few songs, which was surprising for a venue of this quality. Aside from those moments, the sound was good and the experience was well worth it. A lovely landmark and a great place to enjoy live entertainment in the heart of Detroit. Would definitely return.

Glad my father dragged me here to see this relic. The ornate architecture and sculptures alone are worth going for. I am glad the city put so much time and effort into preserving this and is still doing work.

If you've never been, add it to your list of places to go! The opulence of the Fox Theatre is a sight to behold. Truly a gem for Michigan!

Great piece of automotive history!! The tour guide was very knowledgeable about everything on the tour. Highly recommend attending a guided tour time. Awesome vehicle collection and historic cars. As a grandchild of a model T collector it really made me feel like I was closer to my grandfather. I felt like her was visiting with me.

What a very cool experience. Blast from the past. I really enjoyed seeing many cars that put the WORLD on wheels. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I met Megan, who is a very young volunteer. It was a pleasure talking about cars and learning from each other. I had the opportunity to bring my FORD 1964 THUNDERBIRD "DIRTY REDD." I'm so glad we save this historical building for everyone can see. 👍

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this museum! I took the tour with an actual tour guide, which I highly recommend. Our guide was a retired Ford engineer, so we had a lot of fun and learned a lot. It is also an option to explore on your own. While I was there they were setting up for a wedding that was happening later in the day. I can see how fun it would be to have your wedding there.

This was a very unexpected and pleasant experience right here in Detroit! I love old cars. Take the docent narrated tour. Very informative. It was a bit hot , so bring a personal fan or towel. Also lots of stairs!

Tom was a great tour guide. The plant tour is obviously about the Model T but it's so much more than that. Its about the history of ford and other car brands with 65 cars to view. A great experience.

This was GREAT! It is not wheelchair accessible because you need to walk to the second floor, but once you are up is is really great. I am a car guy so it was awesome to see where the model T was started and to see the cars... Lots of cars!!!

Great little museum with a brilliant display of very early cars, interesting and enthusiastic tours. If you're into the detail, this is worth some time to look at, but seems like they've also catered for folks with much less subject knowledge. Seems to have easy access and parking, or it's a very short easy walk from the Qline tram stop (Amsterdam Street).

I'm thoroughly disappointed, its seems since the pandemic and after their strike last year, MGM has lost its sizzle. The weekends are pretty busy, overcrowded doesn't equate to fun. Today I visited and I can't describe how utterly disgusted I was. The staff is lacking and what few you do have the pleasure of encountering could care less. I must correct the one lady cleaning the main restroom in the front was nice. The self service beverage area was out of cups, early in the morning, so I or anyone else couldn't get coffee, people are incapable of cleaning up after themselves therefore slots machines were littered with left behind drinks, no floor staff to clean the machines or remove the mess. All and I mean All the money kiosk weren't in service, looking for one was exhausting. The parking has gotten straight up ridiculous, I should have went somewhere else for the trouble it takes to self park. I left out the part where Valet will cost you if you don't have a gold players card or better. I have had better days here, MGM use to be Grand. I need you guys to get it together, you're giving Detroit a bad reputation, and some unfortunate incidents have made the news. I would have loved to have complained in person if I was able to FIND Someone.

It’s a favorite of mine. Went for the first time in October and had a great time. Stayed in a one bedroom suite - newly renovated - (compliments of MGM rewards), and it was awesome! It would rival Aria suites in Las Vegas. The decor was perfect. There is a refrigerator and coffee maker in this room too. The king bed was just perfect. The bathroom was astonishing with the deep soaking tub. MGM Grand Detroit hotel definitely impressed me. I like that the rooms are not too far from the casino floor. The casino is a good size. Non smoking works for me. I’m sure they have a smoking area. Lots of table and machines yo choose from. Never felt crowded on the weekend. There were not many restaurants to choose from, but the ones available were good. We mostly ordered room service and they were fast and it was delicious! We came from Chicago so we had to take an Uber to the hotel. That was a little dicey. One trip was good, but one trip I could have done without. He drove too fast. It’s about 20 minutes to the hotel from the airport. Would definitely recommend this hotel/casino.

My husband and cousin treated me to a surprise birthday stay at MGM Grand. We had a standard room and I was amazed at how nice the room was. I thought it was a suite lol 😆! The bed was very comfy, the pillows were plentiful and there is a couch to sit on just to relax. The bathroom featured a walk in shower big enough for two! And for me, that was the highlight of the stay besides spending time with my beloved. We had dinner at TAP and our server Hayleigh was amazing and very sweet! Overall 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Wanted to share an experience my wife and I had on Sunday 10/12/2025. We have enjoyed this property many times without issue, but yesterday I had a major issue. I had removed a voucher from a game my wife and I were playing side by side and moved to a machine directly behind her, when I was unable to spin the new machine I cashed back out only to discover my voucher for $299.34 was now at $0.74. I asked an employee to go over the issue with me ( He was great, wish I had gotten his name) took the time to check The machine that had given me back the 74 cent voucher and had to call in a maintenance person with a key to unlock the cash box to see if my voucher had indeed lied on the top or turned over and did not register. That gentleman showed who was also fantastic took the entire machine apart trying to find it with no luck. They did however check the machine I had cash from and it did show that I had cashed out $299.34 all the while both men telling me that they believed what had happened, the maintenance person with the key had to call his floor manager over and as she arrived and they discussed the issue she called the cage and had them check the serial number of my voucher which then she informed me it had been cashed. At that point I was very upset and to top it off accused me of either dropping it or losing it which was definitely not the case because I only carry one voucher at a time as to not misplace and I told her I had received back about your for 74 cents how was that possible? Well I explained to them I know how, the machine I had originally cashed out from malfunctioned and receded me the last payout from the person prior at 74 cents after I received my voucher from that machine and remove my card My voucher with the $299.34 was printed. I was dismissed and told there was nothing further they could do and I needed to be more careful! I don't disagree with that comment but I do disagree with how it was handled as it was recorded in the machine with the cash outs at different time intervals. I'm not sure what the fair resolution from the casino would have been or should have been but I can tell you this your money is not safe at any casino property be wary of everyone! Needless to say I will not visit the MGM Detroit casino property any further. That is strictly my decision based upon the non-action of the casino.

Nice casino. Clean, free drink station (soft, non alcoholic beverages), helpful staff, good amount of oxygen pumped into the place. I felt energized. 10/11, would visit again. The house always wins, unless you don't spend any money. Remember that, folks.

Enjoyed the place immensely. The room was clean, the shower was huge. A/C was easily adjustable. The service was friendly. The indoor pool was beautiful and serene. The two restraunts we ate at, Tap and D.Prime were very good.

Raven at the check-in desk was so helpful when I fumbled my reservation, she didn’t judge me and instead was very helpful in resolving my mistake. Her service was exemplary. She also picked a great room for me. Super happy.
