I had a good day at this golf course. The staff were extremely friendly from the moment I arrived, all smiling and helpful. My caddy was very nice and we had good conversations throughout the day. You can tell it's a more mature course with it's design but it's a good test of golf with some great holes. You can tell all the staff work extremely hard to get the course in good condition and give the golfer a good day out. The lunch after was very nice, I was recommended the steak and it was absolutely delicious.
Nestled just off the highway between Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, Song Be Golf Resort is a well-kept secret that offers a serene escape from the city. The lush fairways, peaceful breeze, and shaded seating make it the perfect spot to unwind with a cold drink in hand, enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Golfers will appreciate that Song Be isn’t just a place to swing away and hope for the best. The narrow fairways demand precision, and the layout, shaped by years of play, ensures that every shot must be considered. The greens? Well looked after, as they should be. And if you want to save strokes on the scorecard, the caddies are top-notch, offering keen insights on putting lines and local course knowledge that can make all the difference. The service staff? Excellent. Friendly, efficient, and welcoming, they create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Whether you’re here for a post-golf beer, a sunset cocktail, or just a quiet moment overlooking the greens, they ensure you’re well taken care of. The drinks? Faultless. The food menu, however, is where things take a turn. Prawns, mayonnaise, and cornflakes—because nothing says fine dining like a breakfast experiment gone wrong. Perhaps inspired by a chef who enjoys pushing the boundaries of what should and shouldn’t go together, this dish is certainly… unique. If you’re feeling adventurous, give it a try. If not, best to stick to the liquid offerings, which are much more reliable. While most of the staff radiate warmth and professionalism, there is one particular supervisor or manager who seems to approach hospitality in her own distinctive way. Let’s just say that customer queries are not always met with the usual charm and grace you might expect at a leisure resort. A simple question about the bill may be interpreted as a personal attack, and responses tend to range from icy glares to a level of irritation normally reserved for people who cut in line at the supermarket. That said, Song Be Golf Resort remains a fantastic place to visit. Come for the stunning views, fantastic drinks, and a golf course that rewards smart play. Just approach the menu with caution, trust the caddies, and if you have a question—maybe ask one of the friendlier faces first.
Song Be is one of the oldest courses out there, but don’t be fooled it’s still a challenge and maintained very well. Check in: 9/10 Driving range: 8/10 Golf course: 9/10 Caddies course knowledge: 7/10 Caddies attitude: 10/10 Facilities 9/10 Location: 4/10
About 1 hour plus from city. Dont ever play Dessert Course. It is pin hole narrow and not so well maintained. The Lotus Course was so much better. Overall ok only, will not travel here to play.
Having lunch there in a cool breeze is really nice!
The service provided by the old lady at the driving range was extremely poor. The driving range design was faulty, with a very low ceiling. A normal swing with a driver would break the club. My club was broken, and the course staff were being rude. They told me they had warned me in advance, but they didn't. The guests playing golf nearby could testify to this, and there were even cameras.
Nice place to visit. There is a restaurant inside for all kinds of food!
Played 18 holes today (9 Jan) on Lotus and Palm course. The fairway is quite narrow and the green is pretty slow at around 8.1 speed. Caddies are quite good in reading the putting lines
