But the third guy was good and able to answer questions I had without looking irritated like the other ones did. We still enjoyed our time but not impressed with the drinks and service.

The parking before getting in was a bit hard to find as there’s many different breweries/restaurants in the area but there should be a space for you to find if you look. The interior is nicely decorated with an indoor bar and a view of their distillery behind glass. The outside is nice as well with a food truck, cornhole, and plenty of seating. They’re also dog friendly so keep that in mind if you read this and look to visit. The drink special for the night was $5 gold rushes so we had a few and settled in for the show. The drinks were pretty good, sweet and not too strong but gave a buzz. The comedy was pretty good with a variety of different styles. By the end of it we were definitely glad we came and checked out the venue. Seems like a great place to attend events or shows so hopefully we’ll get out there another time.

A buddy and I were doing a few stops on the Texas Whiskey Trail, and this was our first stop. Our tour guide Charlie was absolutely the best of all the guides we saw over those few days. He was friendly, engaging, and did the best education on the whiskey making process and how to taste. Still Austin is located in a very eclectic warehouse district. Parking can be a little tricky so plan to arrive early for your tour. They had a happy hour with half off frozen old fashioneds. And they were the bomb! Full of plenty of spirit. Wander over to another shop afterward for more beverages and food. There are several options. The tour was the most expensive of all we did at $30/each, but they were the only ones to offer a discount on bottles in their shop. Looking forward to visiting again and bringing others with me.

When we went the line was a bit long as there was only one bartender there and maybe about 30 people throughout the whole place, but that’s the only remotely negative thing we can note. Celis is just a great place to grab a few beers with friends and spend a weekend afternoon watching some games on. That plus its relatively family friendly atmosphere makes it a neighborhood standout. The megalomaniac is a double rye ipa which is not for the timid but has amazing flavors and is a nice combination of west coast and citrus.
