This was our second time visiting Natchez and the primary reason for our return was the wonderful experience we had staying at Bisland House and being hosted by Christine and Byron the first time. The house itself is wonderful and an easy walk (if you fancy walking) to all the major sites of town. Alternately its only a few minutes drive to anything (there is easy street parking in a nice quiet neighbourhood). Christine is a brilliant host, her hospitality and friendliness second to none. And its the small things like free drinks and snacks at all times of the day, an amazing multi course breakfast and an ability to point you in the right direction that really make a difference. As for Bisland House itself, although not the oldest in town, its charming. The rooms are lovely and as we go there in the winter, we can tell you they are snug and warm and comfortable, with lovely beds. The rooms all have a different character as you would expect in a Bed and Breakfast, we have loved both that we have stayed in. Check out the different rooms online - they all offer something different. Sleep is easy to come by, no railroads or anything to disturb you, its just great. Christine and Byron were great host. The house was really nice. We stayed in the Michelle room which was smaller than the other two from what I was told, but it was perfect for the two of us.
