The scenery in this place is stunning I feel like I’m in a different country, absolutely gorgeous.
Every worker here is so kind and working very hard! Our server was Josue, he had our food out in 15 minutes. Everything was correct and SO good.
We debated on where to go for dinner as we’re on vacation and I’m so happy I chose this place! This will be where we come every time we visit.

I am a local and really wanted to love this place. My girlfriends and I came in for dinner before a movie. The beginning of our dining experience was okay, I had a sangria, my girlfriends asked for the $6 house margarita special. We socialized and had some appetizers before ordering our meals. Our waitress was young and you could tell not very experienced as we had to ask for refills/drinks every time. Food arrives and I ordered the fajita trio with the steak cooked medium rare. Steak was cooked well done. The manager came over and had it cooked again for us but it was not good so she took the meal off our bill. If not for the manager this review would be lower. When our bills came my friends were charged 9.50 per margarita, when we said something to her she said that’s the large. We suggested she let others know going forward that the drinks are not $6. The waitress was rude and dismissed our suggestion. There are too many issues to list with the waitress. Overall the food was good excluding the fajitas. I would recommend the cheese dip.

I was looking for the carne Asada but they don’t offer that at all. We ordered a fajita Combo and the grande. It’s a huge meal. Food was good. The service was great. We eat mexican food on a regular, my husband is half hispanic. we go in to these restaurants not expecting authentic, but i would not consider this a mexican restaurant. Totally recommend Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant. After the long drive from Linwood, NC we were hungry and wanted to eat before heading to the Resort to check in. I found this gem on Google Maps and I am glad we went. This was a great way to end the day with a Birthday Dinner. The Fajita Trio was great, Raspberry Hibiscus Margarita was probably the best Margarita I have ever had, and my complimentary Birthday Flan was almost too pretty to eat but sooooo delicious.

Loved that I was given 1 each of mild and very hot salsa which I mixed for my perfect taste! Ordered chicken chimichangas came with beans, rice, guac, and salad. It was soooo good. Happened to arrive during happy hour and had a house margherita that was better than some custom made and only $5.99 for 16 oz. My waiter was exceptionally attentive. All this for $20!

This is my second time here spanning over 2 years. The service is lightening fast and the food is good.
I had the quesabirria tacos and it ranked in the top 9. Super delicious. They also offer a spicy salsa if you like hot and that flavor messes nicely with the quesabirria tacos.
The chicken nachos are big and good.
The Cadillac margarita were ok. I have had better in Maryland.
The atmosphere feels very authentic Mexican.

Molly took care of us. We were 6 adults and 2 young kids and arrived at 1pm and were promptly seated outside under their covered porch. Molly explained everything to us and was very attentive to our needs. We ordered and received our drinks as well as our food in a timely manner. Nachos were hot and delicious. We just visited on vacation with a family of 6. The staff was friendly and talkative as soon as we came in. The atmosphere was fun with great music and colorful lighting. The hippo decor and merch made it fun for the kids. We order the huge portion of nachos for all of us to share and it was so big we STILL ended up leaving with leftovers!! Madysen was our waitress and was fantastic. We followed her recommendations and absolutely enjoyed the meal. Started with the triple dipper. Guacamole was good, queso was great and the mango salsa was a real hit. Didn't know what to expect in the salsa with habenero, but it was not overly hot. The won ton tacos (can't remember the real name) were really tasty and a nice light bite. Probably too much lettuce on the plate, but didn't hurt anything. The luau taco did not disappoint either. Succulent pulled pork nicely mixed with the pineapple bits. A real classic. Finally, the house margaritas during happy hour went down WAY to easy. We really enjoyed the food and the fun atmosphere seeing how many states we could find on the license plates. Stop in and have a great time.

Probably the best Tex Mex restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Chelsea was fantastic and made our experience great.
The table side Guacamole was wonderful but could use a bit of a kick. Make sure to tell them easy on the salt. The fajitas were excellent as were the Enchiladas supreme. I'd pass on the lettuce.
Drinks were flavorful but a bit weak on alcohol.
Overall a great place and will be going back for 4th visit soon.

We sure were surprised with the service and food. First, our server suggested a different table than we chose out on the patio. Our server was attentive and helpful with suggestions and questions. Their Happy Hour speciasl are a great value, especially the Margaritas and 32 ounce beers. What i thought is an added touch was the member of the team that focused on chips. He came by often to collect our nearly empty chip baskets and promptly returned with fresh, hot chips and salsa. Overall, the food, service, and price were outstanding. They do it right! Additionally, the rest rooms were immaculate! I don't think I've ever commented on rest rooms! Fiesta Mexicana is definitely worth a visit, I know I'll be back!!

Finally made it in to eat. We've been here for three years and walk by often early in the day before they are open. Today we had the pleasure of dining here. As lovers of Mexican food, we’ve been searching for a GOOD Mexican restaurant in the Conway-Carolina Forest area. Several of the ones that we’ve seen mentioned ranged from just OK to truly awful, so we were psyched to try out El Cerro Grande. Well, we very pleased that we came here. We ordered cheese enchiladas, burritos and tacos; all were excellent & well-prepared. The heavy plates everything was served on were piping hot, which kept the food at a good temperature till the end of the meal. The size of the portions (from their lunch menu) was surprisingly generous. Each entree came with a side of Spanish yellow rice, which was very tasty and moist. The enchiladas & burritos were covered with a very delicious sauce, slightly thick and a very dark red in color. This was one of the tastiest sauces I’ve ever had with Mexican food, and it was not the more common thin, watery red sauce you often get on enchiladas & burritos. I loved it! Neither of us could finish our lunch, it was that hearty. But we did save room for a fried ice cream, which we shared. The restaurant is very clean, neat and roomy, and while the space isn’t fancy, it was pleasant. There are booths for 4 as well as individual tables, and a large bar at the back of the restaurant. Lyrical, melodic Mexican music was piped in, notably without the pounding reggaeton you often hear in other Mexican joints. The staff were quick, efficient, and friendly. The prices were quite reasonable, and we spent only $36 for 2 people, including dessert & tax, without drinks. And, we brought home 1/2 of our food to enjoy another day! We’re very glad we discovered El Cerro Grande!

We had the best view of the ocean and honestly you can't beat tacos by the ocean! Second visit here. Absolutely loved the first time. Second time was more annoying. Stopped for lunch and wanted the chicharon con tostones. And they proceeded to let our party know there were no chicharrones. They have multiple items on their menu with chicharrones . We decided to try a different dish (soup mariscos) and didn’t like it at all. Actually didn’t even eat it after trying it. We let them know we didn’t like it and clearly they saw we didn’t eat it, but yet no one asked anything else or followed up with us or asked if we wanted anything in place, just that it was still on the bill after sending it back. The PASTELON is very good and definitely recommend along with the chuletas asadas and the pescado tacos. Overall the food does have very good quality, taste and flavor. But there are somethings that are a miss for us and service is rather disappointing as well. While it is likely we would return again, it’s not going to be a priority or anytime soon.
Moral of the issue is you’re telling me they are unable to provide all of these menu items, which is very poor planning for a restaurant to run out of a main food item.

I ordered online tonight and to say it was skimpy especially for $14 a bowl is a understatement. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere and music set the perfect tone for a date, elegant, relaxed, and cozy. The carnitas were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had: juicy, flavorful, just a bit on the greasy side, but nothing that took away from the experience. Solid 9.5/10. The ladies who were working - Mari, LaToya, & Emona - were extremely sweet & relatable. You can tell they really care about their customers and their work.

I had the carnitas plate, and my beautiful lady had the Mango chicken quesadilla. Absolutely delicious entrees, and the Horchata was some of the best I've ever had, and I grew up in AZ not far from the border. When I went to pay, they saw my Marine Corps emblem on the credit card and gave me an unbelievable discount.
I'm local and have a favorite little place where I eat Mexican food once a week. After coming here and being treated like royalty while watching live music... I just charged my favorite spot. I'll be here for our weekly Mexican date night moving forward.
The manager was also an absolutely wonderful lady who asked how our server was and lit up when we started giving praises. It's great to see someone who loves their job and treats their employees so well.

Very outdated and old. Our party of eight ordered burgers, Nachos, and some apps. All food came out cool and cold. Nothing hot. Chicken tenders were burnt. Decor is old and dusty inside.
