They brought a small sheet to lay on the floor but this only covered a small area and none was laid on the new carpet. The sofa was brought in via patio doors at the rear but this meant going across the rear lawn. I had cut the lawn the previous day and therefore lots of grass cuttings and very damp that day. Their sheet was only laid in the conservatory by the patio doors. The delivery man then proceeded to walk all over the newly laid carpet with grass attached to his feet. I had to ask him to remove his shoes. There were two big blokes bringing the sofa but instead of both carrying it in, one decided to bring bits in himself (sofa did come in sections as it was a corner one) why he did this I don't know as he was struggling to do so and kept knocking things, which included knocking over a tall lamp and breaking the shade (I didn't notice this until after they left and they did not notify me of it. Once the sofa was in .the man pushed it back against the wall where it was going but in doing so pushed it against a plug in the wall, ripping the plug out and breaking it, thankfully the sofa was not damaged. The male then went back to rear patio doors, put his shoes back on and then proceeded to walk all over the new carpet again. It was at this point I asked the male to leave the house as I couldn't believe how little disrespect he had. Whilst I have no issues at all with the carpet and sofa, I am extremely disappointed with the level of care from the carpet fitters and delivery person, and the fact they didn't tell me about the damage they caused to the lamp and amount of grass brought into the house. For the large amount of money I spent at Aldiss I expected more. I had also ordered a recliner chair at the same time but this has a waiting time of around 5 months!!!! So I am hoping it is not the same delivery driver. I ordered the sofa, carpet and chair all at the same time and wanted them delivered together but due to the long wait time for the chair (up to six months, and still haven't got it yet at four months) I had to pay for two deliveries, which I don't think is right.
