My husband and I decided to try this place while looking for something new, and we’re glad we did! We started with the French onion soup, followed by the Duck Ragu Pappardelle—both were delicious, but the Duck Ragu was especially outstanding. I highly recommend it!
The service was warm and accommodating, making our dining experience even better. We also loved the restaurant’s ambiance, complemented by beautiful artwork that added to its charm.

Came here for dinner on a weekday night. There a couple of customers, the place looks pretty good after the renovation. I ate here a couple of times before the renovation so I wanted to test if it was the same after. The prices were the same as before the renovation so that was good.
I ordered the angus brisket. My dish arrived in about 15mins later. The brisket itself was tender and easy to cut. It was flavorful and was quite smokey. The gravy was savory and was thick enough to coat the meat but not smother it. The mashed potatoes paired very well with the brisket. It was light and fluffy but it still had chunks in it to add some texture.
All in all its all good meal in will try the other dishes some other time.

Duck and Bavette has been a consistently great restaurant at Shang Mall for many years. It’s one of my go-to places whenever I’m in the area.
My recommended dishes are the pappardelle duck confit, Angus meatballs, and roasted cauliflower.
Since we’ve been there many times, I would love to see new dishes on the menu. I’ve tried almost everything, and I’m eager to try any new additions.

Overall we had delicious food with points for improvement on some dishes.
We really liked the Goat Cheese Ravioli, the filling was very rich and flavorful. It had vegetables as part of the toppings. I would come back just for the ravioli.
The Crispy Potato appetizer was also good. The potatoes could be seasoned more to make it better, but the cheese on top added to the flavor. The potatoes were layered and crispy, which made it nice to eat.
The Rustic Chicken salad was unique as well since the chicken was not just grilled on its own, but with spices and sauce. So this added a lot of flavor to an otherwise plain salad. Would recommend trying this as an appetizer.
The Duck Confit was great. The duck was crispy on the outside, very tender on the inside. The rice was like garlic rice and paired well with the duck. But the skin, even if crispy, didn't really have much taste. So I'm not sure if there's a way to improve it, but that was the only lacking part for me on the dish, since the gravy fits well with the meat already.
The 8Hr Beef Brisket was just okay. It didn't really taste that different from any other place. The beef could still be softer. But the sauce and the mashed potatoes were the best part for me of the dish.
The Mushroom and Shrimp appetizer came with bread. The bread was good. But the mushroom and shrimp felt it lacked flavor as the oil didn't taste like much but overpowered everything else so it lacked flavor.
Then I wouldn't recommend the Maple Bacon Pizza Bianca. This was our worst order for the night. The Bacon was so sweet and basically overpowered the whole dish. You couldn't really taste anything but sweet. This was a shame for me, because the crust was pretty good. I would suggest to order any other pizza other than this one, it might be much better.

Beautiful and old looking parish dedicated to Saint Philip Neri located in Mandaluyong City. While it’s not the biggest church, it is quite long. The church exterior gives off a slight gothic feel because of the 2 bell towers and the old looking walls. The interior is beautiful with art covering the walls with a beautiful central altar. The church has a good sound system. The mass service was amazing. Recommend visiting if you’re in Mandaluyong.

The oldest church in Mandaluyong established by the Franciscans dating back to the 19th century. It was a witness to historic events involving Katipuneros of the Phillippine Revolution to Guerillas of WWII.
The Church is ideal for weddings due to its bright interiors, painted ceilings, marble floors, colorful tile mosaics and spacious patio/parking with a century old acacia tree. The main door is made of carved wood decorated with details from San Felipe's life. When the door is closed, a small indoor space is left which is perfect for the bride's dramatic entrance since she wouldn't have to wait outdoors.
Enshrined in the antique retablo are the images of Mary the Immaculate Conception, Patroness of the City as well as San Felipe Neri (Titular Patron) and San Francisco de Asis (Founder of the Franciscan Order). On the left transept is the Baptismal Font and a retablo with the first class relic of San Felipe Neri, also famously known as the Patron Saint of Joy. Here parishioners and pilgrims can pray to the Saint particularly for the grace of joy and strength in trying times.
A Statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is located outside near the main entrance. Tree shaded benches are placed in front of the statue for those who want to pray outside. You can also find votive candle stands for offering prayers. Candles of different colors and flowers are available from vendors near the statue. They look organized since there are stalls built for them so they are located in just one place.
There is an air-conditioned Adoration Chapel near the Church for those who want a more intimate prayer experience with God. Shoes are not allowed to be worn inside as a sign of reverence to a sacred place.

Lots of great food choices and the mall is super clean with plenty of open spots to chill. Parking is easy with spaces under Eastwood Mall, Techno Plaza, and City Walk.
If you are just visiting, it’s nice for a quick stop but not much else unless you live nearby. For residents, it’s really convenient with stores, restaurants, grocery, laundry, and events especially during holidays.

Appointed a jubilee 2025 pilgrim church, under the archdiocese of Manila, this shrine is a testament to the Filipino peoples love of peace as it is at the very location of this shrine that has seen the peaceful overthrow of 2 presidents.
The location itself is located at the crossroads of two major thoroughfares in Metro Manila and right smack in front of the entrance of Robinson’s Galleria Mall.
The church itself is not big but beautifully designed to incorporate modern architecture with traditional Philippine touches in many areas specially seen in the many capiz shells used in decoration.
Although compact, this little church has everything, a baptistery, an adoration chapel, parish office, votive candles lit in a minute open air garden.
The cross centerpiece is a modern lighted rendition and quite unusual.

The glass doors are both functional and aesthetic—as it is fully air-conditioned inside and at the same time evoking an "open" space for people in all walks of life. The bells also have that distinct melody which admittedly is what called me back to the faith.
The adoration chapel is located at the left side of the shrine, and a parking lot is located at the right side of the shrine. All government offices of the City of Mandaluyong were located inside the compound so no need to travel if you have another transactions. The police station of Mandaluyong was located here also. I went to the blue building with the tiger decorations in Mandaluyong City Hall to ask where I could get my cedula. There were two older ladies at the information desk, and I approached the skinny one. When I asked for directions, she gave a quick answer that confused me, so I politely asked if it was upstairs. I had a few transactions in the new Mandaluyong City Hall which includes getting a cedula, applying business permit & arranging papers for my marriage. I can say that I am happy with the service that I received. The building is generally neat & clean. And importantly, it is comfortable because of the efficient air conditioning.
Update: I have visited again, unfortunately for family members’ death certificates. Still the city hall did not disappoint.

Seven Last Words
I enjoy visiting churches from time to time even tho I’m not religious. Each and every church is beautiful in their own unique ways indeed.
Some context…it’s Holy Week in the Philippines, most establishments are closed and the streets are basically deserted. Very uncommon sight for the rest of the year!
Yesterday I actually joined family on this Good Friday special speaking event of the “Seven Last Words”. While this was about 3 hours long and a little tiring to sit and hear people speak for that long…I really enjoyed it and even got a bit emotional from the personal life stories that were told in line with each portion of the last words as they were divided up. Wow!
This location has a unique outside design indeed and when you enter it’s basically a circle with the roof meeting high up to a point like a teepee/tent.
Lots of seating indeed and while the first half of the ceremony was about half full…nearing 230pm before the next service on Good Friday…this place was packed! Standing room only left over so I suggest to arrive somewhat early especially if you have elders with you or accessible needs with seating or wheelchairs.
Plenty of screens to read from.
The Air Conditioning was in full effect with some spots even being too cold to sit…Many people were fetching jackets from outside (almost 40°C ). So ironic.
One thing I’ll say is that depending on who’s speaking, it can be quite hard to hear clearly what is being said. The speakers hang from the slanted ceiling making the acoustics quite odd in some spots…especially if someone talks fast.
Some of the doors were being used constantly and they weren’t well oiled let’s just say…So if you sit near one then be aware. Also the foot traffic in and out can be little intrusive during mass or services.
I’ve reported many photos and videos that were attached to this location as they did not make sense or do it any justice…Hope you enjoy some of what I captured and hope many others add some also.

A relatively small and modern church located in Makati. The church is located next to a large cemetary. The interior is quite unique, with unique seating, altar, and design. The church has air conditioning but it is definitely more powerful in certain areas. The seating wasn't that comfortable for me personally. The mass I attended was a mass for children I believe so I can't really say if the normal masses are more liturgical or traditional. We usually go here since I was a kid. This Parish is still well-maintained and very peaceful ever since. You will able to focus on praying.
The parking slot is limited, every Sunday they occupy the street of Kalayaan Avenue.
Structure is good from the inside to outside. And the priests inside are lively that you will be able to listen to the Homily. The start of the mass is every 1 and a half hour to give way to people who are coming and leaving.
This is one of my favorite go-to places for praying!

I super miss this place. Lot of changes for the past years. We went to the food park and were happy to know that my favorite food stalls are still there. The last time I heard mass here, the Shrine had no air conditioning yet so probably that had been years ago. I do like places of worship that are air conned not for vain reasons but it is much solemn to pray and meditate than in humid and hot conditions.
And maybe what made the celebration here more special was Rev Fr Wilmur celebrating his 25th year as a man if God.
The Shrine is very accessible. After mass, wander around and discover a lot of places to have your meal.

SM Bowling Center is Megamall's bowling alley. This mall is located in Mandaluyong City. The bowling alley is located in the fourth floor of the Fashion Hall building. Decent sized bowling alley with 12 bowling lanes. The place is mostly clean. You can just walk in and book the lanes but you might have to wait as it is mostly full. Price per game is peso 185 plus 50 peso for shoes rental. You can also try metrodeal coupons which offers discounted games. Gave 3 stars because of the shakes. For 170 PHP each, I was at least expecting quality....like, bits of fruits, then pack the drinks with some ice so the customer could feel a bit coldness from the drinks...
The food was good, the drinks were terrible.

It’s much better now but whenever there is a wake I pity the folks living right by the area due to the crowd and the very late night events going on.
