Castaway Waterfront Restaurant & Sushi Bar is a classic waterfront eatery that provides a spacious indoor dining area as well as outdoor seating. The restaurant offers a variety of seafood, sushi, and tap beer. It's open every day for lunch and dinner, with a happy hour from 4-6 pm at the tiki bar overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Guests can also visit the liquor store with an impressive selection of reasonably-priced beer, wine, and spirits or enjoy the cigar bar.
Such a neat hidden gem of a seafood restaurant! We had sushi, the tuna Poké bowl and the fresh catch of the day! All of the food we had was amazing! Also if you go here you have to try the lobster queso dip! It is insanely delicious! If you are in need of a wonderful dinner out with the family or a great date night restaurant look no further Castaway Waterfront Restaurant is a must!

We arrived at around 6pm without reservations and were seated right away. Front desk host was not friendly at all but our server was great and overall service was great. We weren’t happy with one of our sushi rolls and the manager came over and very graciously removed it from our bill. The food was very good, the fish in the sushi rolls was very good quality and fresh. My seafood pasta dish was absolutely delicious. Overall the food was great but honestly overpriced. The ambiance is very casual giving dive bar viives and parking can be challenging.
We visited with a large group a few days ago and it did not disappoint! Our waiter introduced a trainee and they were both very helpful and prompt. She caught on fast and the food was over the top! The drinks were stiff as well! Grab a t shirt at the gift shop across the street and watch the Manatees put on a show! DEFINITELY WILL be back! Thanks guys!
This was a very pleasant experience. Started out with the King of the Jungle roll, featuring the evasive lion fish, outstanding. The spicy conch salad and the wahoo roll finished off an absolutely delicious meal. Highly recommend 👌
Castaway is a popular destination for anyone traveling in the Keys. They offer a huge menu of seafood items and sushi rolls. They have a large draft selection and cocktails. We saw them on the Food Network advertising lionfish, and I had to try it. I ordered the lionfish sashimi and lionfish miso soup. The sashimi had little flavor, but the miso was prepared in a rich broth and tasted great. The coconut-crusted key lime pie is a must, too. The service was friendly, and I got to knock lionfish off my bucket list.
The food was amazing, we came specifically for the sushi, and it did not disappoint! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server, Leilane, was absolutely wonderful! friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely ask to sit in her section if you can!
Came in for a family dinner while on a mini vacation. Our server was super nice and attentive. Parking can be a little tricky . If you get lucky and sit outside by the water you might see manatees.
To start we had the crab dip and the raw oysters which both were great.
Little one ate a hotdog and the oldest had tenders (which he didn’t like)
For main we had the salmon which was good and the grilled snapper which was lacking a seasoning.
Being in a similar restaurant a day before I can’t say I would recommend this spot.
Everytime we have eaten here we have walked happy and talking about how awesome this place is. On extra cherry on top was talking to Brookfield Mike and our bartender Christine and picking their brain about living in a sailboat, a topic I have had a lifelong fascination with. We've been here many times throughput the last 10 years and Im thrilled to see it keeps getting better. Thanks to the hard working people that make this place an institution it as.🙌🙌🙌🙌

Lazy day south was the first restaurant we hit when we got down to marathon. I hadn’t been there before and thought we would give it a try. Everything was fantastic! I love grouper, and had the black grouper sandwich. The fish was fresh and meaty And delicious. My wife had fried shrimp, and they tasted like they had just come out of the gulf. Hand breaded and tasted like little lobster tails. We also love ceviche and smoked fish dip, and their ceviche was citrusy and delicious. We had never had conch ceviche before and although it was a little different from the normal shrimp ceviche, it was delicious. The beer was ice cold and the Mojitos were full of lime and mint and rum! The sunset view right over the water was amazing and made for a perfect evening.

Lazy Days South was an excellent choice for a nicer meal in the Keys. The crab-stuffed snapper with key lime butter was absolutely incredible — rich, flavorful, and a generous portion that could easily be shared. The burger was juicy, and the fries were perfectly crisp. I also appreciated that they offer half carafes of wine, which was a great touch. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with high-quality food that was well worth the slightly higher price. They had a cool catch and cook option I’d recommend to anyone! Till next time!
We dined here after being rudely treated at Castaway and left. We were pleased with the service, food and atmosphere at LD. We were seated inside with a beautiful view of the water at sunset. Our waiter Robinson was so nice and accommodating. We brought our own catch and he made suggestions for preparation for our grouper & lobster tails. It was lazy days style & Parmesan crusted. The presentation was amazing and it was delicious & perfectly cooked. Our entries included conch chowder & side dish. That chowder was good too. The prices were very reasonable and we will surely be back again. Thanks so much LD!
Food was fantastic! We did the “hook and cook” brought in our catch and had fried and blackened. Both were great but blackened was our favorite!! Coconut shrimp was soooo good too! Jessica was the best server!!
Kind of surprised this place was so empty but it is the off-season after all. We came here with a sack full of fish after our charter captain recommended it. Our waiter, Adonis (no relation to the Greek god) was prompt, friendly, and very inviting. We had our yellowtail snapper fixed two ways: lazy style and super lazy style. It was fantastic. The seafood bisque was fantastic. The asparagus was well-cooked and the bearnaise sauce on it was flavorful.
In short, the service was great, the food was great, the value was excellent. Definitely worth checking out.
The meals were all delicious. Great water view. A little short on the service staff, tis' the off season. A wonderfull water side location. Wasted no time getting to the meals, yummy.

Porky's Bayside Restaurant and Marina is a casual waterfront eatery located in Marathon, Florida, about an hour north of Key West. This hidden gem is famous for its unique take on the classic Key lime pie - battered, fried to perfection, and drizzled with zesty lime and raspberry sauce. The open-air dining experience offers picturesque views of the marina.
The food was delicious! I ordered a veggie omelette and the veggies were lots, nice and fresh. The service was prompt and the place was very relaxing. We wanted to go for dinner but came for breakfast— ugh we should’ve came back for dinner.. Next time we’re in the Keys we’ll have dinner.

Great location! Came in for the first time with the family and we absolutely loved it.
To drink I had a mango margarita which was very yummy.
The lobster fritters were ok, but not much lobster found in them.
The boys loved their meal. Cheese personal pizza and chicken tender with fries.
I usually don’t finish my meals , but the snapper was so tender and flavorful that it was gone in a second. My meal came with a fried corn in a cob which was also really tasty.
The full reach of ribs was also good and huge!

Really good food and great service! The space was beautiful, would try and get a water view next time. Parking was a little difficult but not bad. Love that the Mac and cheese was not an up charged side. The passion fruit habanero margarita was super good. Will be back if we head back to Marathon!
We had breakfast. Eggs Benedict, biscuits and sausage gravy, key lime French toast. Everything was good. Eggs in the Benedict were over cooked and the hollandaise was skimpy (but good). The grits were fabulous. The key lime French toast was quite good, but very sweet. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was generous and had good sage flavor.
We stopped on the way to the keys, looking for a drink and fun atmosphere. And you nailed it. Fun decor, good drinks and we had some gator bites! Sat under cover but open windows over looking the water. Great, fun spot! I recommend checking it out.
5.0 restarant for sure! Great Keys vibe but with excellent food (not just vibe). Our waiter, Kerr, was engaging, informed about food options, made great suggestions & perfected our first visit skillfully. Loved the salt and scrub in the ladies room. Buying it in the way out. Nice touch!
Absolutely a Florida Keys favorite experience for me. The Keys vibe here checks all the boxes. Drinks are well made with alcohol, food is an experience with the deep fried Key Lime pie being an addiction! We drive from wherever we are to get this succulent dessert! All of the entrees are good portions and the entertainment is Carribean and Midland motivation.
My husband and I came here to marathon on our honeymoon, we came to porkys twice while staying had to come for dinner & breakfast! Vibes were great, service was great and food was amazing! We will come back on our yearly anniversary trip no doubt!

Delicious food, great service! We had the Mahi, and shrimp sandwich and shared a fry. The fries are huge! Also yummy?!! Fried key lime pie?!! What tasty food all around.

Staff were friendly and attentive, bringing our pup a water bowl with our drinks! The fries meet the hype, so tasty. If you’re hesitant, just try them. They had great beer options in can and bottle (featuring many keys based breweries, which is cool to see local) but the biggest downside to this place is not having beer on tap.
We chose this restaurant for our daughter’s 16th birthday and we had an amazing experience. We arrived around 6p and were seated immediately and though the seating is outside, it is covered and cool with a breeze off the water! Our party of 5 got four bacon cheeseburgers (delicious and good size) and my youngest got chicken fingers. We had to try their famous French fries and hush puppies which everyone enjoyed. The service was amazing and the owner was truly invested in making sure we had a great experience. They surprised my daughter with a slice of their Key Lime Pie (made in house) and then their fried key lime pie! We are already planning our next visit before we leave town. Thanks Burdines!
This place was such a good experience. My husband and I so enjoyed our food. I had the mahi sandwich which was phenomenal and so reasonably priced. I couldn’t believe how quickly they brought the food out it was amazing service. We also spotted a manatee while we were eating. This is a great place for the vibes. Would totally return!
We came to Burdines Waterfront on a whim, and The food was honestly incredible. Our server Emerson was so kind and attentive. Every recommendation he made was spot-on, and the Key Lime Pie was hands down the best I’ve ever had in the Keys (and I’ve tried quite a few). This place will definitely be a staple for us every time we come back to the Keys. Thank you so much for the great service and even better food!

A friend of ours recommended Burdines for great burgers. It did not disappoint. The burgers were outstanding, the fries were next level of goodness. Our server was Allen. He was very attentive and funny. The view of the canal was peaceful. We were hoping to spot some marine life but didn’t. We ended our meal with the best key lime pie ever. When we come back to the keys, we will be coming back here for sure.

Five Stars Isn’t Enough.
On a spontaneous trip to Key West, we decided to overnight in Marathon — and what a lucky move that turned out to be. Our original breakfast spot wasn’t open early enough, so we took a chance on The Wooden Spoon. One word: WOW.
From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuine — the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. But the real star? The food.
We tried the homemade banana bread French toast — and I’m still dreaming about it. Perfectly caramelized on the outside, fluffy inside, and packed with real flavor, not just sugar. Every bite was a throwback to comfort food done right. You can tell everything is made with care.
This is the kind of place that feels like home, but better. A true five-star gem in the Florida Keys — don’t miss it.
This is one of the most unique brunch places I have ever been too. It's a first come first serve restaurant but they are fair when it comes to who was there first.
Maybe 15 tables inside with like 12-15 bar seats.
All the food is cooked to order, it took maybe 20 minutes to get our food from sitting down to our food arriving . He pancakes were soooo good, sweet but not overly sweet, I got the egg white omelette and it was delicious, filling and cooked just right with all the meats tucked inside
The biscuits are huge and flakey the sausage gravy had the perfect pepper flavor.
My daughter loved her waffle. Perfect cook on the bacon,and scrambled eggs.

I arrived right when they open because I was staying directly across the street. Service was extremely fast because of that and the food was a solid breakfast. Two eggs over medium, grits, sausages and white toast. And don't forget the coffee. Can't go wrong with that breakfast or visiting this diner.
Update...ate the country fried steak a couple of days later. Good choice. Lots of gravy and a great flavor.

While visiting the Florida Keys, we stopped by this local restaurant to eat breakfast and found the parking lot was almost full. Now I know why the food was awesome and the friendly service was second to none. As you can see by my photos, the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. Next time I’m in the Florida Keys I will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend the chocolate chip pancakes. They were delicious..

The yellow curry brussel sprouts could easily be shared with 3-4 people. My husband went for a meal and I opted for the Thai chili shrimp appetizer bursting with freshness and flavors. A big plus was not being rushed so that we could enjoy a bottle of wine along with our meal. Can’t wait to return.

Avoid this overpriced tourist trap. Awful service, took over an hour for our food to arrive. The shrimp in the scampi tasted old and rubbery and I got food poisoning from the few I did eat 🤢
I loved the food! We had brussel sprouts with a curry sauce as an appetizer and they served complimentary warm buns with butter. It was so yummy! My starter salad was delicious along with the fish. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back when in Marathon.
I can't believe it's taken so long try this place. WoW..! The food, service and white table dining were excellent. The Yellow Tail Snapper is a must try. Tell them you want the mashed potatoes with it :)
My sweetie and I came in for dinner, and were very happy with our experience. The steak and seafood entrees were very tempting, but we opted to get a handful of appetizers to share. The yellow curry Brussel sprouts were great. We also enjoyed the cranny tomato soup, warm brie, and spicy calamari and shrimp. The wine and beer list had plenty to choose from. We were also given a basket of warm bread and butter. The atmosphere was very clean and comfortable, and the walls displayed a good collection of barracuda themed artwork. There is a covered outdoor dining area too. We'll be back!

Very clean! Major plus quaint little place. People were friendly. Really had low expectations from the road and high expectations after walking in. Neither were correct.
Prices were higher than expected and well described by menu.
Presentation of food was really nice. I got the rib-eye which was a real letdown! My sone got shrimp fettuccine and my wife had a bowl of tomato soup and pork potstickers.
She loved her soup and potstickers and my son said his plate was mediocre at best.

Been here a couple of times now and I’ll start with the good.
The Shrimp Scampi is probably the best I’ve ever had. Full of flavor, brimming with plenty of garlic and a touch of tomato sauce that creates a nicely balanced scampi. They load it with shrimp and serve it on perfectly prepared Al Dente linguine.
The Jumbo Scallops and Pesto Pasta is also very good with a rich nuttiness that is full of garlic and textures that make it stand out amongst Pesto’s I’ve tasted. The dish comes with 4 monster scallops that are pan seared to perfection.
The kids cheeseburger is quite large and absolutely delicious, prepared medium and very well portioned with homemade fries that look like chubby corkscrews.
Now for the bad - the 14oz Ribeye was not very good. For $37 I expected the steak to be of better quality. The meat was not tender. It tasted like it had been frozen and possibly a little freezer burned.
So this is definitely a place that is worth checking out, but I would stick to the seafood dishes which they have a few options to select from and their menu seems to change periodically which is great for variety.
The service is good, complete with white linens and candlelight that gives it a nice ambiance. They don’t take reservations so Olán accordingly as they can get busy on popular nights.

Nestled at the family-friendly Rainbow Bend Resort, Hideaway Café is a beachfront bistro offering a blend of French and American cuisine. This hidden gem is perfect for special occasions, boasting a romantic atmosphere with the soothing sound of crashing waves. The menu features gourmet options like Beef Wellington, Lamb Chops, Chicken dishes, and various Seafood choices such as Seafood Puttanesca or Seafood Crepes.
Went on Thanksgiving and it was fabulous. They served us a 6 pound whole turkey, along with garlic bread, peas w/pearl onions, vegetable medley,
mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and a fantastic cranberry sauce.

This restaurant is a true hidden gem—you’d never know it was there, but once you find it, the food alone makes it worth the visit. Everything we tried was delicious, and I’d absolutely come back for the flavors alone. The views of the water are stunning, and the breeze on the deck is unbeatable.
That said, the place is in need of some serious TLC. The windows overlooking that beautiful view were dirty, and the building itself could use a deep cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. It’s not fancy, which is fine, but when a place looks unclean, it makes you wonder about the kitchen.
I wouldn’t recommend it for a date night or a business lunch—the atmosphere just isn’t there. But if you’re looking for a casual bite with great food and don’t mind a bit of grime, this spot delivers. Hopefully, the owners will invest in some upkeep, because the potential here is huge.

I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in Florida, but this beachside gem has skyrocketed to the top of my list. From the moment we walked in, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The vibe was just right – laid-back yet classy.
I ordered just one bottle of wine, but it was the best I've ever had. Absolutely top-notch and perfectly complemented the stunning ocean views. The place itself is remarkable, with an atmosphere that just makes you want to stay and soak it all in.
Prices are good. I didn’t find it expensive, but it might be for some people. If you want the full experience, expect around $150 per person, but it's totally worth it.
If you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience with great service, amazing wine, and an unbeatable location, this is the spot. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. My new favorite, hands down!
This is an excellent restaurant for a nice evening and dinner. Our reservations had a mix up but they were very gracious and seated us. I had the catch of the day (Hogfish) which was delicious and my wife had the Shrimp Scampi. Chris our server was very helpful and friendly. Our food was very delicious and very nice presentation. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.
We went for the food, stayed for the atmosphere, came back because of Freda. She is so talented and so welcoming. Our family loved it there so much we went back a couple nights later! The food is absolutely delicious, even the kids loved it. The wine selection is great.

We found seats at the bar without needing a reservation, and the service was quick and friendly. I ordered a custom cocktail off-menu, and the bartender did an excellent job of crafting it. My husband enjoyed browsing the selection of beers and found something he liked. The live music added to the lively atmosphere, with a singer who was very interactive and almost like a karaoke experience. But the highlight of our visit was definitely the dessert - we ordered the fried key lime pie, and it was absolutely delicious! If you're looking for a great spot to grab a drink and satisfy your sweet tooth, Havana Jacks Oceanside is definitely worth checking out.

I visited Havana Jack’s for the first time a little over a week ago. I stopped by for an afternoon snack and had the brioche pretzel bread, and bang bang cauliflower as well as a cucumber margarita. The mustard butter for the pretzel bread was a perfect combination and the margarita paired well. To my understanding, it is a new menu from a new chef. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious. There was also live music which was also nice. I would visit again for sure.
The staff were also super friendly and attentive.
Going over the reviews there’s nothing I can say that hasn’t been said before. The vibes and the views of this restaurant are great. We came in for dinner with the family and the service was fantastic. The food took a while to come to the table but absolutely everything we had we enjoyed and was delicious. I do recommend the food 100% , however everything is extremely overpriced. Exp Wings $18 side of potatoes $8 ribeye $60 grouper sandwich $25. We been in the keys different times and I know prices here can be high but this location seemed to be on the higher end. Again everything was delicious and service was good. But prices were high.

We came for dinner tonight and were absolutely delighted to have Iraliz wait on us.
I want to start this off by saying it was not our first visit, so we realized the menu had been reprinted and even changed a little. My husband got the fish tacos with the red grouper. The fish was cooked well and tasted good, but we felt the taco was missing some type of sauce so it wasn’t so dry. The salsa was good but chunky.
Now this is where Iraliz handled the situation like a true professional. She quickly began to realize obviously my husband wasn’t going to eat anymore of the fish (after she already tried bringing him a sauce to make it less dry) and took it back and had it taken off the bill. We never asked for it nor were we going to because we both work in the industry and hate stressing a server out like that. It wasn’t anyone’s fault - that dish just wasn’t what our palette was looking for. And she went out of her way to make sure we didn’t leave without offering to replace his meal and bring us a dessert.
Its servers like Iraliz that will make us want to come back to Havana Jacks - as well as the AMAZING atmosphere provided by the stunning views and caring staff.

Their new chef is wonderful!! Bartenders are great. Highly recommend the oysters, Brussels, calamari - all were very good. Love the way they prepared the calamari- nice to have it different.

"Sunset Views, Great Server, and a Quesadilla That Could Use a Wingman (aka Sauce). First off — Iraliz R was amazing! Friendly, fast, and had that perfect “Florida Keys vibe” — like someone who could handle a hurricane and still remember your drink order. She was attentive without hovering and genuinely made the meal enjoyable. She deserves a raise, a medal, or at least a lifetime supply of Modelo Especial.
Now, the Cuban quesadilla — solid flavor, but it’s kind of like a date who looks great but doesn’t text back… good, but missing something. A dipping sauce or two (mojo, chipotle, garlic lime?) would turn it from “hmm” to “holy Havana!”
The view? Absolutely top-tier. Watching the sunset from here is like Mother Nature showing off. The band? Let’s just say they fit the Florida Keys theme — if you’ve been down here before, you know exactly what I mean.
My only gripe — the prices are trying to reach the sunset too. Havana Jack’s has all the ingredients to be a home-run Keys hangout if management would add a few more affordable options and care as much as the servers do. I got 1 Cuban quesadilla, two beers, a side of fries and a Coke and our bill was $68. Lol. It's all good, had a good time.
Overall: come for the view and vibes, stay for the service, and bring a little extra cash… and maybe your own dipping sauce.
Perfectly situated within a comfortable walking distance from our resort, this local seafood restaurant was exactly the experience I craved. The freshness of the seafood was unmistakable – each bite burst with the clean, briny taste of the ocean. I particularly enjoyed the vibrant and flavorful Rasta Pasta, and the impeccably fresh catch of the day: mahi. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and charmingly authentic. We enjoyed chill music, outdoor dining beach side with an amazing ocean view. It truly felt like a genuine taste of the local culinary scene, far removed from the typical tourist traps. The service was relaxed and welcoming. I absolutely loved it and would wholeheartedly recommend it to friends and family seeking a delicious and authentic seafood meal. This is a must-try for anyone visiting the area!

This indoor/outdoor hybrid restaurant was delicious and really a great find. Clean restaurant, fast service, and delicious food! Seafood was fresh, seasoned to PERFECTION and not overcooked or oily. Fried seafood is a light dusting with great flavor and doesn't taste like flour and oil at other spots. Service was outstanding and don't leave without a slice of chocolate cake or pie. Absolutely will be back!

We were in Marathon for 7 days, and we ate here 6 times!! We had Brunch on Sunday, Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. My wife and I both ordered the same items twice for dinner, it really is that good! The conch salad in the plantain cups is really to die for...Never saw that presentation before and it was excellent! The salads are crisp and fresh, the fish is fresh and excellently prepared, and that coupled with the friendly service we received from Barbie makes this a go to! Highly Recommend!!
Had breakfast and dinner here, and both meals were delicious. Got a crab cake benedict for breakfast--yum! Shared some potatoes with a chicken friend, which was very fun. For dinner got a special of a blackened FL lobster tale, Mahi, and shrimp plate. DELICIOUS. Wish we'd discovered this place sooner! Service was also very good and the patio was a wonderful place to enjoy your meals. Will be at the top of our list when we return.
What a gem! The food was AMAZING probably one of the best meals we had in Marathon . We decided to try something different and Brutus did not disappoint. The outside patio is so cute and not hot at all. The fans circulate and keep the area so much cooler than any other patio restaurant I have been to. Our server was awesome, can’t remember her name and the owner Alex came out to say hi and chat. Just an all around great place. Do not skip this restaurant because it’s not on the water. The food is so good! You will not be disappointed…

Omg! Best fresh fish in the keys by far! So delicious and well made. Also even if food would not be great I would come back because of the amazing server we had, such a sweet nice and clean server, had a lot of patience and recommended us nice dishes. I def will drive down to the keys only to eat at this place! I’m in love with the food and service we had.
We stopped for lunch just after happy hour started at 1 PM. Great food and staff. I had a Philly Cheesesteak and my wife had the Keys Cuban. We were both very satisfied. Mark is entertaining and informative. We left with a couple of muffins and some cheese cake for later. Was too full for dessert. I want to go back and get the Key Rueben for myself. Indoor and outdoor seating is both offered.

Great dockside diner with a huge selection of fresh seafood. We were hungry for a good burger and 7 Mile Grill did not disappoint. My husband loves Key Lime Pie and I looked around for who made the best in the area - found it! Not only was the pie homemade but the whipped cream was also homemade. Ron made us feel right at home and the prices were quite reasonable. We will be back again before we leave the area.
What a great find! This little gem in the lower Keys is one that I look forward to visiting again. Talk about value. Not only was the flavor and quality amazing, but the portions were incredible. Friendly staff, awesome outdoor diner, and delicious food.

Decided to check out 7 Mile Grill Marathon Fl after reading that they're supposed to have really good biscuits . Been here for 30 minutes to place a to-go order for breakfast. Got a hello after 10 minutes from the lady, (the guy in the picture looked at me like what the hell are you doing here you don't belong here, never acknowledged me and as I was leaving just glared at me), , said I'd like to place a an order to to go. 14 minutes later 2 people come and sit next to me, got immediate service, they're now eatening and I'm still waiting for my food!! Better be worth the wait!!

7 Mile Grill may not look like much to some driving by, but this cute roadside spot is worth the stop!! It was highly recommended by a friend so we went for breakfast and would’ve gone back again if our trip wasn’t over. Wr sat at the counter, chit chatted a friendly local, I forgot to get the name of the guy that we aired in us but he made me a pretty good Bloody Mary! My husband and I both ordered the country fried steak and it was delicious! I’m sad I forgot to take a picture. Totally not like me. The portions were huge and really could’ve been shared. Next trip back we will definitely return.
HIGHLY recommended for brunch. No frills decor. We sat at a covered picnic table outside by the water. Food was cooked to order and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Perfect scrambled eggs, crispy home fries, and country fried steak was tender and hand battered. Server was laid back yet very attentive and the mimosa was big. Best food and bang we have found for our buck so far in Marathon.
Iconic little Florida Keys restaurant located right at the base of the 7 mile bridge in marathon KEY. My wife and I went for breakfast and sat outside in the warm spring air. I had an omelette that was loaded with fresh meats and cheese, and my wife had the French toast.Both were delicious and fresh off the griddle. It was breakfast so we didn’t have a slice of Keylime pie, but I’ve had the Keylime pie at the 7 mile Grill before and it’s delicious.

We stumbled upon this little place on our last night in Marathon. We enjoyed their whole fried fish as well as their shrimp ceviche. The food was delicious and customer service was great. The place was pretty empty while we were there, but it was a little later in the evening. I’d highly recommend for a filling meal and good customer service.
Humble little local restaurant with a hidden surprise! The food was absolutely delicious! Unpretentious, but 5 star. We had the Lobater sandwich...wow! Sweet and juicy lobster! Grouper sandwich was delicious also. Tender and flaky, both with a side of creamy coleslaw. Oh and conch fritters for appetizers..super flavorful! The staff as beyond friendly, efficient and quick! Definitely a recommendation when in Marathon!

From the second we walked in at 8pm on a Sunday evening; we were treated like family! I got the grilled snapper, my husband ordered a pasta dish with half a lobster tail shrimp and muscles. The food was outstanding!!! It felt like someone's momma cooked it in their kitchen and served it to us!!! The snapper was the freshest I've ever had! And the shrimp and lobster on my husband's dish were candy!!! Truly good food! The kind of meal you feel good after eating! We will be back!!

Fish Tales Market and Eatery is a beloved seafood restaurant and shop located in Marathon. It's the oldest fish market and restaurant in the area, offering a wide selection of fresh fish and seafood, including lobsters, pink shrimps, mahi mahi, snapper, grouper, sea scallops, and more. In addition to seafood, they also serve top-quality certified Angus beef steaks.
We stopped for lunch before a snorkel tour in the neighboring dive shop. We were pleasantly surprised by the attentive service. And we were even more surprised by the delicious food. We had the snapper and fried green tomato sandwich. It is served with a special sauce that you should request “on the side” if you choose to get the sandwiches. One of us got fries and I got the “cult followed” green beans. The snapper was as fresh as you can get and breaded and fried to perfection. Super flaky fish but still very firm. It was as good a fish sandwich as you’ll get anywhere. The green beans are made in beef stock and are soft and delicious. The fries are seasoned and thick. We came back later that evening for dessert. The key lime pie is pictured, which is almost like an ice cream but it’s super tasty. Also pictured is the mud pie. It is Oreo crust with chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate syrup. And the last one is a bourbon pecan pie, which was actually my favorite. I LOVE pecan pie. Also pictured are the freezers where they sell fresh seafood by the pound. It is insane how much variety they have and everything is so fresh. The restaurant has a German heritage behind it so you’ll find German beers on tap and several German style food options on the menu. I’m telling you, this place is amazing for lunch or dinner. I’ll be stopping again next time I’m here.

This was a great seafood lunch spot. We had the clam chowder, the fried red shrimp basket and the fried snapper sandwich. The shrimp was cooked perfectly tender. The fried snapper sandwich was amazing. So delicate and tasty!the. Lack beans and rice were very flavorful. They had lots of specials and market items for sale that were t just seafood. One of the best hole in the wall places down in the Keys. The buffalo shrimp was phenomenal. The cheese steak was great. The bread was made fresh and the meat was also super fresh. So many great options.
The best eat out meal I’ve had in a while. The Mahi yellowfin appetizer was excellent and a good portion, the wasabi dip was excellent. The Hogfish sandwich was perfect, fries excellent and the coleslaw was light and really good. Ice tea and key lime pie was delightful. Prices were very reasonable. Staff was friendly. I can’t believe I’ve passed this place so many times and never stopped before, I’m glad I followed the Google reviews, I was specifically looking for a great Hogfish sandwich. Lots of locals going in and out giving great reviews while I chatted and ate. Thanks for a wonderful meal and experience.
This place is a hidden seafood gem. The food is excellent. Easily the best fish sandwich in Marathon. They close early so for dinner you have to be a little early.
We ordered the mahi sandwich, grilled chicken on Gluten free bun, and German fish sandwich. The fries and potato salad were great. The tarter sauce was homemade and delicious. They also have a blue cheese sauce which was also excellent.
It's small inside with several 2 and 4 tops. It's a nice quaint inside. There are always cars there so they must have a regular following. I really appreciated the seat pads for the wooden chairs. It's a nice touch.
The fish market has a number of good options from fresh fish and crabs. Also some land options from sausages , bugers, and steaks.
Overall it's an excellent place. I was a little annoyed at our waiter for being salty because I had question about the bill. All the sides are extra on the basic fish and chicken sandwiches. I missread that, but I didn't need or appreciate the attitude.
Still giving good ratings because the rest of experience was good.

Their Boring Fish Sandwich was anything but boring. Fries were cooked nice and crunchy.
I had their ahi tuna poké bowl and I’m hooked!!! It was fresh, the rice was cooked perfect, ample amount of ahi tuna, avocado, edamame, seaweed salad and ginger. If they added some toasted macadamia nuts it would awesome.
We will be back often, as we were assured the new menu is there to stay

Confusing misprinted menu. Server had no time for use. Waited over 10 minutes for waters. Waited 25 minutes for my cocktail. Food came out at 40 minutes. The honest review is that its pub food. That's it. BUT, the prices are for something fancier. The smash burger menu is way overpriced and confusing and I feel like the waitress didn't even fully understand how to explain it. Honestly its probably a great bar. Cocktail prices aren't bad. But as a restaurant its just a pub pretending its something more.

The food, for the most part, was pretty good but lacked flavor. The Buffalo chicken pizza was overcooked and burnt on the bottom. The rib dinner eventhou they fell off the bone tasted like a jar of BBQ sauce was poured over them as an afterthought. The fish sandwiches a few of us got were really good, and we definitely enjoyed them. Everything else we ordered tasted good and was cooked perfectly.We will most likely try this place again next time we are down in Marathon.
I found this place on Google Maps and it did not dissappoint! You can tell it's more of a locals dive, and that is exactly what I love. The staff was friendly, the beer selection was huge! And the happy hour specials were on point. The food was delicious and it was the least expensive meal we ate while on our annual vacation to the Keys. We'll certainly be returning customers next year!

We stopped for a quick lunch at Stout’s Restaurant at 12:45 11/28/22 on our way back to Miami. Check out the mini portion of cottage cheese that I ordered as a side. $3.99 for this??? LOL. Highway robbery!! And Alfonso just said his club sandwich is tasteless and otherwise awful! And they take only cash??!! We watched as a party of 6 walked out upon confirming no cards!! They could add a nominal card usage fee for convenience. Wish I could afford to watch a hefty bill walk back out…
Had a great breakfast this morning. Service and food were both very good. The downside is that it's pretty noisy, even half-full (as it was this morning).
Sat down before a morning rush and was attended to quickly, but food was understandably a little slow to get out. Quality was quite good for the price, but the portions were quite generous!
The hash browns were a very thin shaved texture, so if you're used to a "southern" style, you might want to try the home fries instead.

Food For Thought is a charming natural foods market with an organic cafe that offers a diverse menu catering to various dietary preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Today I had the pleasure of meeting the brand new owners of our local health food store Food for Thought, and they are absolutely wonderful. You can instantly feel how much they genuinely care—not just about the store, but about every single customer who walks through the door.
While I’ll definitely miss Blair and Mike, I’m excited for this fresh new chapter for everyone involved!
This spot has always been a 10/10 for me—not only for all your health supplies and clean grocery needs, but also for their fresh-made foods, smoothies, and juices.
Today I tried the avocado toast topped with eggs and a green juice (can’t recall the name, but it was amazing!)—everything was divine.
It just feels good to eat here and hang out here. If you haven’t stopped in yet, now’s the time. Highly recommend!

Stopped here for a quick bite - not only is the food amazing, best panini I’ve had in US, their selection of healthy snacks is incredible.
Their elderberry spritz with homemade syrup? INCREDIBLE! I’m gonna need a full franchise of this place in every major airport! I so appreciate a restaurant that actually cares about using ingredients that are fueling you nutritionally.
Cute place. Didn’t eat but the food smelled delicious. Very nice employees. Good selection of natural and organic products. We bought our Islamorada Honey from there.
Lunch was homemade with care and thought of flavors and health.
Fresh juices, original health conscience drink combinations using bold flavors like mint, lime, and giner.
The specials were delicious. Vegan and vegetarian options for most items on the menu.
While on vacation, I am always looking for a healthier food option. When I found this place I was so happy! I visited every day and tried their muffins, smoothies and açaí bowls. Everything was amazing and the staff were all SO friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back and visit again next time.
This wonderful cafe doubles as an organic food store which is delightful to peruse while you wait for your food. You can sit in the cafe or a little bistro table outside. I had the “meatball” wrap which they made gluten free for me. It was OUTSTANDING! I’m going to make this a regular stop on my drive. Unfortunately I ate everything before I thought to take a picture but it was as beautiful as it was delicious.
They’ve got hand crafted Nitro Cold Brew. Smoothest coffee you’ll ever get!( and awesome). Great staff, good vibe.
Delicious little spot filled with yummy organic food and local goodies. Picked up some natural organic remedies to deal with dinosaur sized mosquitoes.. 😆 and it worked

Panda House Chinese Restaurant And Buffet is a small but welcoming spot that offers a wide range of classic Chinese dishes, including Szechuan, Hunan, and Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant features a lunch buffet with fresh and delicious options available daily from 11:30 am to 3 pm. Despite the limited space, the friendly staff creates an inviting atmosphere with soft traditional Chinese music playing throughout the day.
Awesome service, they are so nice here. The food is really good and the place is really clean. I’ll be coming back often.

All our food was delicious! We did 3 lunch specials shrimp lo mein (would order extra shrimp next time only had a couple in it), general tso chicken, and moo Goo Gai pan, never ordered that before and wanted to try something new it was delicious! Asian vegetables lots of mushrooms sauteed chicken in a white sauce. Hot and sour soup was really good. And the krab rangoons are probably the best we have had in awhile! 😁Thanks panda house! We devoured half the food so the pics are half way through eating!
We LOVED Panda House in Marathon! 🙌 The service was super fast, the menu had so many great options, and everything I tried was packed with flavor! 🍜🔥 And the prices? So good for the quality and portions you get. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the Keys. Highly recommend if you’re craving delicious Chinese food!
The best Chinese food I’ve had in South Florida! I moved to Boca fr NY 21 years ago. And I’ve been blessed to find some decent places in Boca but they are few and far between. We ordered the Gen Taos with some House Special fried rice. And folks now I truly can say I now understand what those meals are suppose to taste like!!!!I
The best way to describe the food would be, well, 🤔, ok got it!! Imagine for a moment you were invited to the home of one of the cooks that has spent a lifetime preparing these meals. Then in order to make you feel welcomed, the family offered to make you the “home-cooked” version of one of your favorite Chinese takeout meals.
The Gen Taos was the most expertly prepared succulent, sweet, tangy, spicy morsels of dark meat chicken I have ever had! They had the perfect amount of crunch that would then just melt in your mouth like cotton candy. The chicken felt more tender than your shoulders after not reapplying sunblock today- you all know who you are! This place should not just be a fast food pitstop but a destination for all my fellow Chinese takeout aficionados. Take a bow Panda house it’s well deserved!
We've tried many Chinese Restaurants around the country, and I must say, this is our top favorite. The portions are great and each meal last 1 person 2 days. The food is delicious and they always have a smile. Oh! And we were able to snag delivery. Great place a must try.

Very typical Chinese fast food, the shrimp egg roll was good, the beef also, the duck was okay. Not bad, pretty much what you might expect ! The prices were not bad and perhaps slightly less than usual, but food was good for the price.
This place has been here since the 90’s that I know of. Food was great and reasonable. Quick and easy. In and out. Can’t beat it. Definitely worth the stop.

Delicious Thai cuisine is served at Takara Thai House, which is located next to a sushi restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Alisha, an outstanding customer service representative, speaks excellent English.
Impeccable service. Waitress was on point, dishes were brought out in order with time to eat them. She was as focused as a New York server! Impressive!
Vegetable Ginger Soup highly recommended. I don't know what broth it is served in, but it was even more delicious than any Thom Yum I've had.
Spring rolls were ok. Kinda mushy inside, but crisp outside. Thin plum sauce but tasty.
The curry was fantastic! Not only flavorful, but the shrimp was tender. Its so easy to over cook them. I can say I have never had better cooked shrimp in a curry. They even removed the tails.

Our server Yancy absolute best Knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient. I’ve been to Thai restaurants all over the world, and this one races in my top five for authenticity in a domestic setting. Who would’ve imagine here in the Florida Keys. The prices were reasonable. The food was fresh cooked And the service was impeccable. If you love Thai food like I do this is a must try when you’re in marathon.
Whenever I travel, I always find a Thai restaurant…Takara Thai and Sushi truly did not disappoint!!! Waiter and waitress were EXTREMELY amazing!!! I always seem to order the same at every Thai restaurant…Panang Curry with chicken and fresh (NOT fried) summer rolls. I can tell you Takara was on point!!! I asked for medium heat on the Panang and it was VERY flavorful…the size of my summer roll was amazing and oh SO FRESH!!!
If I could give this restaurant 10 stars…it truly would not do them justice!!! BEST Thai restaurants are ALWAYS family owned and operated…so the amount of preparation and pride put into each dish takes time and is ALWAYS worth the weight in gold!!!

The food tasted great!! It really did and the service was great! It was just me but I had this right after getting off a sailboat for the week, and it made me throw up..... I think it was my fault, the restaurant was still great! And all my friends liked it a lot
Cute little restaurant, amazing quality food! Every menu item is made to order and you can really taste the freshness! The waitress went over the menu with us when we told her it was our first time there and answered all our questions. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but now we have tasty leftovers. We will definitely be back!
This small place serves up incredibly fresh and delicious food. I tried their Thai noodles-chicken and seafood, green curry - seafood and shrimp - fried rice. The best part of their soups was the vegetable ginger soup and a couple of others that my kids ordered. Overall, I was definitely surprised by the food’s taste and quality. The service was a bit slow, though, since there were only two cooks, a husband and wife.

The restaurant was empty except for 2 people who already had their food, yet I was waiting and waiting, the restaurant owner was setting a table for 2 gentlemen before they arrived, and when they did they had all their sushi, rice, noodles and a whole arrangement of food laid out before them, it looked amazing, yet i still had no food, and now a know why I was waiting nearly 40 mins for my rice noodles. My noodles were slightly undercooked most likely rush cooked. Then to make things worse, the owner lied and blamed the chef for making beef instead of seafood.

Great place for sandwiches! They do need a second vegetarian option but the grilled cheese looked so good I jumped right in and forgot pics. Party of 4 and NO complaints.
Food was AMAZING!! We got the Reuben, loaded egg salad and the Texas Cuban. All of them were absolutely perfect. Staff was great as well, very nice and friendly
Don't let the outside fool you. It's a wonderful restaurant with a updated, modern decor. It was clean and we'll kept. The employees were friendly and the food was delicious.

Awsome place. Small and confortable. Good ambience and music. The cashier was nice and recomended a dish. I had the cuban sándwich. Nice and flavorfull. Hot and melting cheese. I even got fingers burn. 😂 Will recomend for a midday snack place.
Food was good. We chose to go there because of the previous reviews and it was within walking distance of our resort. We are hoping to go back for breakfast.
