Wonderful experience and wonderful staff! You can feel how passionate everyone working there is for the animals and for those wanting to observe them. The animals seem very happy, and I love their rehabilitation exhibit with the sea turtles. Downside is obviously food cost; however, those teriyaki chicken sliders were so yummy. Definitely recommend!

We went for a few hours in the afternoon. Most of it is covered to block the hot sun. There's several exhibits. A few not native to the United States. It's an older aquarium it opened in 1955 so it's celebrating it's 70th anniversary. The seal and dolphin shows were super entertaining. They even house the injured. Nice place to take the children to. The Pier is right next to the aquarium.

We loved our visit here! It was very educational and the perfect size for the kids to not become overwhelmed or tired. We really enjoyed the sea lion show & the dolphin show. We sat in the "splash zone" for the dolphin show and that was the highlight of the day for our kids! They thought it was so fun getting splashed by the dolphins & also thought it was really special to be so close to them. I personally enjoyed the CARE center and seeing the work being done to help rehab the injured sea turtles.

This was my second time visiting the Gulfarium. Lovely scenery and location. We visited to see the manatees and I had a great time. I love the fact that the Gulfarium is a rehabilitation center, so I like to support them as much as possible and would like you to invite readers of this review to do the same.

Awesome spot for the kids with a touch tank and various shows (sea lions / dolphins) and presentations on sharks, penguins, and more. Most is outside so wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Its right on the water so there's beautiful views and a restaurant next door.

We got there late and caught the last sea lion show of the day. It was quite, nice, and the animals seem to be well cared for ❤️🐬 it was my 9m old daughters first time to a aquarium and she loved it. 😍

$75 for two to walk around the animals was a bit much as they really do not have the attractions to warrant that price point. So what if you can come back with your receipt. If there is nothing the first time around then the second or third would not have me excited. I truly am an animal person too, so many of the exhibits need some help as animals could use a little more attention for sure.

Wow! What a great place! My 7 and yr old especially enjoyed it. My 14/13 yr old had fun too but it's definitely more geared towards a younger crowd. Either way everyone enjoyed the exhibits. There were a few down and closed off areas which was too bad but we still very much enjoyed our visit.

A cute and fun place to visit to gain a little knowledge while staying (mostly) in-doors on a hot week. A great cool down spot for our kids, they would have stayed there forever if you let them (who knew matching games were so fun). There was also a creature feature going when we arrived, and in the words of my daughter “sugar gliders are SO CUTE” (I don’t disagree). I highly recommend if you are looking for something to do that your kids will enjoy!

Took my granddaughter and her friend, they are 9 & 10. They enjoyed it and we spent 2 hours there. There is a reptile room, birds and fish as well as chinchillas, guinea pigs, and sugar gliders. There are large birds, and a tortoise 🐢 outside. The learning and interactive centers are cool. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is a small section of merchandise for souvenirs, and a decent size outdoor area! It was a Saturday afternoon, & they were hosting a birthday party, so it was a tad busy. There was plenty of free parking, in front of the building. $12 each, admission fee.

It's a great place to take young children (4-10). Older kids won't be too thrilled. When I took my kids today, most of the exhibits were out of order which ruined the experience. They did have a cool planetarium exhibit today which was extra. It went over our solar system.

Nice place to explore a lot of things also nice indoors when rain is outside. Just did not like that some robot arms where a bit broken and the hurricane simulator did cost extra fee. But all in all a nice trip with kids.

We love this place! The exhibits are all hands on and the kids could spend hours here, despite the relatively small size. The staff is always super friendly, enthusiastic and helpful! Very educational and extremely fun! We've been coming here since we moved here in 2016 and it gets better every year - the staff puts so much love and care into the exhibits and events. Even my teens still love to come here.

Emerald Coast Science Center is a fantastic place for a family visit! We were thoroughly impressed by the variety of animal exhibits. The parrots and reptiles were fascinating, and it was great to see such a diverse range of species. One of the highlights for us was the outdoor area with the giant tortoises. It was amazing to see these magnificent creatures up close and learn more about them. The center does an excellent job of combining education with fun, making it an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Emerald Coast Science Center and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an engaging and educational outing.

We bought the package for go karts and the 18 hole mini golf for 49.95/person. It wasn’t worth it, the go karts were very slow and with this you do not get what you pay for. We were initially really excited about the go karts, afterwards it was a let down. You only get a few laps for the price you pay. If you’re looking for speed or a thrill, look for somewhere else, it’s just not worth it. There is a large track with faster go karts called the track in town. Mini golf was probably our favorite thing about the money, only because there was a group of us and we’re competitive. Otherwise it’s an above average course and it was fun. I would maybe do this by itself for a price, but not coupled with a package

There were so many things to do here and it's very unique. My husband and I tried the ropes coarse which is amazing if you're a thrill seeker, and we did a round of mini golf. We did the Dino theme (they have multiple themes) mini golf which was so fun with interactive features , fun facts, and unique holes. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try everything and it is a bit expensive so definitely expect to spend a lot of money. Golf and ropes was $60 together before tax but I think they have deals too so check those out. But we had fun and it seems pretty clean. Highly recommend.

Fun mini golf and arcade! Prices were fine but try to go on an overcast day or evening so it isn't so darn hot! Not much shade on the mini golf course but they had some fans which helped. Very fun for the kids

On a rainy weekend at the beach these places are a godsend. My daughter was down at the beach for her birthday but half the weekend was rained out. She really wanted to go kart but wasn't big enough to drive so we did the arcade and Lazer tag. The game selection was pretty great and almost all of the machines were operational which can be rare at arcades. My daughter loved the Minecraft Dungeons game. The 9 year old also got to play a very small game of Lazer tag but she had fun. At the time we were there nobody else was playing so she made friends and got a 4 person free for all. Obviously ropes courses and mini golf or go karts aren't the best in the rain but the rest was a welcome attraction for kids who can't go swimming. The employees were even pretty good, not the usual dead inside teens working at these types of places.

This is THE best and nicest place to play mini golf in the Destin/Ft. Walton area. They have two 18 hole courses to choose from that are challenging and fun and great for the whole family. We go year and after year and are never disappointed.

Great putt-putt with two options for themes. To the right is Dinosaur themed holes and to the left are the Pirate themed holes. There is also an arcade and bungee jumping. Unfortunately there is no alcohol served here at all.

The 18 hole mini golf was perfect. Well maintained and enjoyable. However, it’s not wheelchair/ stroller accessible. The arcade had several broken machines (Tower Tickets, Ticket Dome, basketball), and the staff wasn’t very professional, a guy kept calling me “bro.” Games are pricey at 1-2+ points each. Each point is a $1. Fun overall, but could use some upgrades.

It's free there's and there is plenty of concessions and a nice little keyed entry bathroom and shower area right at the entry to the beach access but the sand is a little more "traveled" that further down beach and it seems the water is a whole lot more shallow to the sandbars. Which has its ups and downs, I guess. The water today was amazing and I fully enjoyed my swim and will definitely return tonight for the sunset for another round.

Beautiful beach! Went on a Monday so it wasn’t crowded. Very relaxing. Nice little gift shop and concession stand. Great spot to bring your lunch as they have covered park benches with restrooms.

Very nice and clean park with restrooms, changing areas, and showers to rinse off. Beautiful view, and we found tons of shells and sand dollars. Also, they have a "borrow me" bin with boogie boards and sand toys, which is a perfect touch for those visiting.

Beautiful beach, walkway to the beach is beautiful in itself. They have a little store at the entrance for cold drinks, ice-cream, snow cones and beachwear. Lots of parking and it's much less crowded then some of the other ar e areas.

Beautiful beaches + dunes! Great location to visit the beach. Clean bathrooms, friendly shop staff, and clear info on the ocean status/rip current. Awesome spot to also see the military planes flying over.

4th of July was amazing. Beach is clean and not packed. Showers and restrooms were clean as well. Easy parking and a great experience. Patrol was doing thier job, made me want to bring my kids next time.

The water was clear and warm and gentle and the beach was not crowded and not hard to get to, plenty of parking and facilities for bathroom and rinsing off sand and a snack stand. Beautiful place to spend the day.

I’ve been to a lot of Indian mounds across the Southeastern United States & this is one of my favorites! Great for kids & adults! The museum had several interactive exhibits as well as a wide assortment of Indian relics & artifacts. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. Also the gift shop has everything from post cards to research books. Highly recommend!!!

A fantastic little museum full of Native American history, and currently a pirate exhibit that's perfect for younger kids! Lovely staff, very kind and helpful! We visited with our luggage to kill time, and they let us leave our bags behind the counter which was so helpful!

Great stop with a variety of local history of indigenous people and artifacts as well as early settlers. The friendly guide in the schoolhouse was really interesting and informative.

Came here on a Thursday morning and it got busy pretty quickly! The staff was great, they have a nice gift shop. We didn't go through the museum because we had to get back to our hotel but we did buy some cool stuff to support them, including a beautiful ring. The Mound was magical and felt like we stepped back in time just from simply looking at it. I love everything Native American and will always support anything I can.

There is a lot of history here!! Plus there's more than just the Indian mound there's an old-school 1800s post office and a Confederate Fort. So totally worth the journey It's a nice 30 to 45 minute learning experience about culture in America in Florida!

I thought I was 1/8 Native American until 2 different DNA tests told me otherwise. One useless fact later.... this place is an unexpected delight in the middle of a concrete jungle. The artifacts have a distinct Incan vibe. The modern Freemason temple across the street from this historic temple indicates that there's more value to this location that is likely not fully understood by the average visitor. Hidden gem if you ask me. Be sure to support the site and locals through the gift shop.

Been coming here my whole life. Some great restaurants and great vibes. Love the rental chairs right in front. We come eat and carry minimal stuff like towels and can setup for the day even with three kids. Everything you need is right there. Bathrooms, roof, drinks, chairs and umbrellas, volleyball courts, and a fishing pier. I'm sure I'm missing more but it's where it's at.

My girlfriend and I loved this place! It was $2 a person ~ $4 plus tax for us and it was the best value experience on our trip. We saw dolphins (many many sightings) tiger sharks, jelly fish, and sea turtles. Definitely recommend going during sunset so it’s not too hot, the breeze was an absolute dream.

What an awesome experience… from the stores, Fall decorations, restaurants and beautiful beach views during the day to live music, lights galore, restaurants/bars, and fire dancers this was a definite go-to for visitors and locals. We had a great time and will be back. My now fiancé proposed to me on the gorgeous white sand and we had a wonderful time celebrating. Everything was super clean and it was just a really awesome experience!

Great place to hang for a bit! I've hung out here twice when waiting to catch a flight and was great! Plenty of places to sit in the shade. Very close to the pier. Clean and accessible bathrooms. Lots of good food options! Even a place to store luggage!

Went with some friends on the pier. Absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait to go back and go fishing! And they will rent you some poles if you don't have any so you can fish! Is that not the coolest thing ever!?!

Very nice area to spend several hours eating, shopping, and a walk out onto the pier. So many people were fishing off the pier while we were there, looked fun for those that like to fish. Sunset was amazing!

Never know what you will see even on a rougher day take your time and watch we usually see at least 1 turtle and there are a couple dolphins usually there as well. Today there were a couple sharks but couldn't see them. Very clearly

This was incredibly cheap and incredibly fun. The employees love their jobs and were excited to sit around and talk about history. I will definitely be returning with my daughter.

The Indian Temple Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00-3:00. The school house is open 10:30-2:30 Tuesday-Saturday. This is good info to have because Google says they open at 1. We went at 2:20 thinking we had plenty of time, and we were not able to go in the school house.

Really enjoyed the tour and traveling through time from the guides story. The elderly gentleman was friendly and kept us interested.

Good place for a little history in Ft.Walton Beach Florida

Informative, inexpensive local history. The volunteers had a lot of information to share about the schoolhouse and time period. The info posted throughout the Heritagrle Center was plentiful and the staff was very nice and helpful. Great stop if you enjoy learning some history.

A nice museum with knowledgeable staff. My family enjoyed the schoolhouse and post office best. The Indian museum has nice hands-on exhibits. It is a good experience for families at a good price! A tip- you begin the museum tour with the Indian Mound exhibits in the main building, however, we rushed into the schoolhouse first to get out of the rain and were allowed to pay at the end.

Went while on vacation. Had to wait to get in due to a class field trip present at the time. The mound is a replica and not as big as it should be. But that’s the only reason it loses a star. The museum itself is well laid out and informative. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. In particular, the woman working in the schoolhouse was fantastic. I hadn’t even planned on visiting the school and she made it the best part. Definitely a spot to kill an hour while learning something.

Small park near a pier and boat dock. The water was beautiful. I tried to blades here but the paths were short.

Not seeing any outlets or water taps anywhere. Unexpected and disappointing for parks along this route. There was a guy digging thru all the trash cans. Didn't think I was back in Cocoa Beach yet. 😑

It's in a great location & the city of FWB is upgrading the entire thing on a couple years

As a tourist in the area I was looking for a nice dog park for my Cane Corso to go and enjoy some play time with me and cool off. This park was perfect. It offers a fenced off leash area for owners who are looking for that. What I loved was the open areas, all the shady trees, watching the ducks. Picnic tables were kinda gross…. Tooo much duck poo. Loki (my Cane Corso) and myself had a nice picnic on the grass, cooled our paws and toes off in the little lake, and enjoyed the shade. I did not go into the off leash fenced area but it looked nice with toys and some shade.

We were down for a vacation with the boat and had an issue with the motor. While "in repair" my buddy and I went by the park in the early morning to do a little fishing at the pier. Nice facilities and well kept park. The bathrooms were clean and the information boards were informative. The park has a good little boat ramp for kayakers and small boats. We caught a couple of blowfish and saw some schooling mullets, my buddy fished a nice pair of CliC Glasses out of the water (still in usable condition). Great for anyone including families with kids. Highly recommend!!

The backdrop of this park is just magnificent. You can see straight across the water to Okaloosa Island. It’s so peaceful. Most of the dock and fishing piers were destroyed in Hurricane Sally which at this point was about 9 months ago and still hasn’t been replaced. The playground equipment has recently been updated and is pretty good, however there are already some broken swings and badly rusted chains and equipment. Homelessness has always been a huge issue at this park and the park about two miles away at the landing. Every pavilion is usually occupied by the homeless and their belongings. Overall we stop by here often. There is a short walking path with a cute little bridge which makes it a lovely spot to go and adore a sunset while having a relaxing walk before winding down for the evening. This park has potential. If it was any other town I’d give it three or two stars but honestly fort Walton beach I hold to a lower standard even though it has a special place in my heart.

Super clean, very friendly pet owners and all dogs are VERY well behaved and are just happy to play with other dogs and running the water after the ball haha. It's a very fun time for you and your dog

This place is a must visit if you are in Fort Walton Beach! This retro and quirky mini-golf establishment offers two different courses with very unique features. We went with our teenagers and we were laughing and cheering each other on the whole time.

Hidden gem! Course was challenging, fun, and well kept. Don't judge a book by its cover. This course was great and reasonably priced. $6 for adults. They only accept cash or Venmo but they have an ATM. Even though it was crowded, we didn't feel rushed. Tiger's Blood slushie was tasty. Highly recommend for good family fun!

Very cool spot for my first ever mini golf adventure, it seems to be a local hot spot and it had such a retro charm to it! I really enjoyed all the cool statues and animal themed courses. The staff was friendly and funny, the prices were good and the slushies were yummy too! I’ll have to come back if I’m ever in the area!

Kids loved it, simple. Just wish they would fix all the motorized parts of the course. Takes away from the fun.. its not difficult to do it. If you need help let me know, I have a crew or volunteers that would be willing to fix them if you provide parts.

I visited Goofy Golf the other day for the first time in years, and I was blown away by how great everything looked. The upgrades and renovations throughout the course are fantastic — it’s clear that a lot of care went into making the space fun, clean, and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly, and I especially want to shout out Dan, who was the first person we interacted with. His positive attitude and welcoming demeanor set the tone for what turned out to be an amazing experience. It’s refreshing to have a place like this in my hometown where you genuinely feel like your presence is appreciated. This visit was a night-and-day difference from how we were treated at Okaloosa National Mini Golf & Ice Cream. At Goofy Golf, the staff actually make you feel like they want you to be there. Highly recommend it for families, locals, and visitors alike. Goofy Golf has definitely earned a return visit from me!

We had an absolute blast! Way better than most of the other plain mini golf options in the area. Each hole has something wild going on and we had fun trying to get the ball where it needed to go. Extremely affordable! I also, love that they have umbrellas throughout the course. It gets very hot in Florida but that shade makes a huge difference! We are definitely planning to go back!

We had such an amazing experience with Emerald Coast Island Excursions! We rented two boats for half a day for our group of 10 women celebrating my bachelorette, and it could not have been better. At first, I was worried that since we were on two separate boats we might feel divided, but they kept us close together the entire time so it still felt like one big group adventure. I was on the boat with Captain Brian, who was so knowledgeable and made the trip unforgettable. He brought us to different spots where we got to see dolphins, turtles, and even sharks, such a cool experience! They also provided so much for us, including water toys, paddle boards, a cooler, and more that I’m probably forgetting. They even took tons of photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an incredible day on the water. They were fantastic!

Captain Sam was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and so kind. We got to see nearby wildlife, Crab Island, and the gulf waters. He brought so many fun inflatables for us to enjoy the day on. It was absolutely perfect. This is easily the best boating company out there, and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

We had the absolute best time on our excursion to Crab Island! We rode around and saw dolphins and sea turtles. Captain Sam was awesome! He took care of everything, was great with the kids and had answers to all of our questions. They have everything! Slides, paddle boards, floats, snorkels, toys all of it. We’ve never done an excursion like this but from the looks of the others we saw this was hands the down the best experience. 10/10!

I booked a fleet of 3 boats for a group of 20 girls for a bachelorette trip. This was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The boats are gorgeous, I’ll tell you right now that if you go out to crab island these are definitely the coolest and nicest boats/setups you will see. There’s what seems to be a million things included in the already very reasonably priced boat rental. We had a captain for each boat and they were so awesome, they fit right in with our group and really made it such an awesome experience. They even took us to deep water so we could safely use the slide and jump off the boat which was so fun!! I felt like I got so lucky and booked the perfect company, when it seems like there are so many to choose from. I 100/10 recommend Emerald Coast Island Excursions!!

Capt Brian and his staff were great!! It was my first time going to Destin to visit Crab Island. Prior to arriving, communication was clear. On the day of the excursion Capt Brian checked in to ensure that we were good to venture out! My friends and I had sooooo much fun on the pontoon!! The company provided great water toys, a cooler and a speaker. Memories were created that will last a lifetime! I highly recommend their company.

Captain Jake was absolutely awesome , request him if you can! Gift shop was nice. The boat was incredible and came with everything fun you could imagine for kids. Crab island was beautiful. We got to see the harbor and the dolphins. Worth every penny!

I stumbled across this park while walking around Fort Walton, and it was such a nice surprise. It’s right by the water, with a great view of the bay. There’s a playground, open space, and a boardwalk to stroll along. It’s really peaceful, especially around sunset. They sometimes host events here too, which adds to the charm. A perfect little spot to hang out.

Went here for the pirate festival in may. Went around three and there weren’t many children until around 4! The people were very friendly and the park was very clean. There wasn’t anything sticky that would require a child to wash hands after. There is a bathroom (I didn’t go into) and if you walk a little bit on the path you can even see the water. I would definitely recommend this park for high energy kids since there is a lot to do!! They even have a little free library book stand!

This is a nice park to go to. Although there is construction by the water. It has a nice shaded playground for kids to play. There is a little library under the pavilion. Located right behind the downtown strip of shops/ restaurants/ bars. There are different events that happen on the lawn like the Saturday market, concert series, fireworks on occasion. I know they are working on updating the area but the restrooms are not very pleasant. There are also no picnic tables or other seating besides a few blocks by the playground.

Love this park and the changes made to the playground. Unfortunately my daughter was able to test the efficacy of the new padding that replaced the sand and sticks under the playground equipment. It passed, she's fine. Looking forward to the upgrade of the shoreline and stage area. (Anyone know a timeline on those?) It would be nice to add a few benches and picnic seating but I understand the omission in order to deter overnight guests. I would also suggest that they keep the lighting that they use during the holidays. It adds a beautiful atmosphere that would be perfect year round. A great place to enjoy a concert in the park, a fireworks display at night and a nice breeze off of the Sound.

Updated: I sing with the Fort Walton Beach Community Chorus. We performed at the tree lighting event on November 25, 2022. What an amazing evening! We performed a few songs from our upcoming Christmas shows (December 9, 10, and 11 (2022)) as well as several Christmas carols. Santa made an appearance, greeted the children, and then read a story to us all. :) The evening ended with the lighting of a gorgeous Christmas tree and areas around the Landing Park! We love hanging out here for the many events they have!

The Pantry is a Great concept to serve the community with farm fresh products from our local farms. It is a new place downtown Ft. Walton Beach, the owner recognized that our area needed a place that sold 'farmers market' goods 5 days a week instead of just Saturdays. Small community park that is well maintained. There is a dock for boats and fishing, a walking trail and a large children's play set. There are a few sculptures in the park and the play area has musical toys for the children. Very nice

Once you walk in the smell of old musty smoke was a instant deterrent but did proceed and walk around, is a large area with a big variety but didn't see any prices that I would jump at, few things I did notice were actually priced over retail.

Staff just sucks! The old ladys behind the counter are past shelf life, very sour attitudes, short, rude to say the least. Being a local there are plenty of friendly junk stores to visit in our wonderful little town.

Thought the place was closed down when we arrived. Clearly not maintained. Tried to not judge by the cover. Unfortunately, the inside wasn't any better. Mainly, the staff was extremely rude. We were interested in becoming vendors. After the way my family was treated, I wouldn't imagine putting my things there and encourage any more traffic. Hopefully we had bad timing on someone's bad day.

They have such cool stuff there! I got 6 scary movies for $2.11! So worth the trip! Everyone is so nice and they have a bunch of different types of stuff. From anime merchandise, to handmade goodies, to lovely vintage finds and even oriental stuff.

If you're into searching for deals, this is a decent place to go to.

Great place with a lot cool staff

Beautiful beach on the intercostal waterway. The water is so beautiful and clean. Even on a windy day the waves were very minimal. Great place to relax or go fishing.

This beach is perfect for a family with little children. The water was very clear and shallow. We were able to walk out about 40 to 60 feet and still not be waist deep. There were a few reefs for snorkeling. There were clean public restrooms and plenty of parking on the day we visited.

Randomly stopped here instead of staying in rush hour traffic and it was great experience. Beautiful beach with calm waves; water and sand were generally clean. Huge area of shallow water for anyone to enjoy. Ample parking. Decent amenities with functional showers and bathrooms.

The beach here feels "littered" by the blackened sands but is a perfect place with shallow water and low wakes. Great inlet for skysurfers, boogie boarders and kayaks as well. I can appreciate the fact they don't allow dog walking but at the same time, if I had to pick a beach to walk a dog AT here in Destin, It would be this beach. There are multiple reasons for that.

The bay is great if you want shallow water and no waves. Tons of tiny fish and hermit crabs to see. Restrooms available, plenty of parking and sort walk to the water.

Kinda hate to tell people about the place... Very nice area, lots of shallow to play in, bay waves rather than bigger ocean waves, and significantly less junegrass to deal with. It is a park though, so they have a closing time and you have to leave, so plan accordingly. Website said 6pm closing but they did 7pm when I was there in June and July. It's also a great place to watch all the boats going to/from Crab Island.

This is a PAID area parking . The new QR code makes it alot easier to pay.. if your locals, the yearly pass is the way to go.. Park hour 8am to Sunset. The gates close and lock AT Sunset.

Little wait, 45 minutes, which is what they said. Parking is almost noon existent. Parked across the highway in the chamber of commerce parking lot. The cheese sticks were big, the wife and I were a no on them but the kids liked them. The rest of the break was excellent. The flavor on the steaks and the cook was perfect. The wife and I split a steamer platter with crab legs, shrimp, sausage, new potatoes, and corn on the cob.

We’ve been to The Shack several times on our visits to Fort Walton, and it never disappoints! The food is absolutely worth the wait. Every staff member—from the hostess to the server to the food runners—is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’m a huge seafood lover, and this visit was amazing. The crab legs were cooked to perfection, and the potatoes and corn on the cob were spot on. Truly a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We passed by the Shack going to a different place that we found on Google & ended up returning. We chose outdoor seating on the water & ordered the Shack Dip Sampler (4 Dips) & Combo Platter. The food was served fresh & ended up being good choices. I forgot to take a picture of the platter before digging in. The photo shows that it was good! ☺️ Our waitress was friendly & did a great job checking on us. If youre looking for good seafood in FWB, check out the Shack.

Came on a Saturday around 1pm in the off season and got to sit outside right away. Ordered the fried green tomatoes which were amazing! My husband is from the south and has had a lot of fried green tomatoes and he said they were the best he’s ever had. Also got the shack burger… ordered medium rare… also amazing! Pro tip: add an over easy egg on top add the grilled onions.

The Shack literally had the best breaded shrimp I have ever had in the 56 years I have been alive. Just awesome breading and very fresh shrimp. It was a great evening for a date with my wife and a beautiful sunset from our dinner table.

We came to this place in 2019 and it was so good the food was amazing. But when we came back this year it was very disappointing. This place was different from all the other fried food over priced places but this time it wasn’t so good. We order peel and eat shirt, the shrimp was hard like an over cooked steak. The grits were very thick and mushy. The redfish was over cooked like it was frozen. The pasta Alfredo sauce was to “floury” and thick and couldn’t eat it. My Bowl was ok and not as good as I remember it. I hope they can fix these issues with the cooking. I don’t know what they are doing differently or if they are frozen food place now. Just sad it wasn’t good as we remember.

This is a delightful location for birdwatching and enjoying the natural beauty of the lagoon. Recent changes may have introduced some restrictions on waterfront activities, yet the park still provides a rewarding experience for visitors.

My 3 boys, age 3, 11, 13 loved this park. We had a picnic by the bay and they had the best time. Probably the best playground we have been to!

The best playground area I've seen since moving down here. The playground is huge and shaded. They have bathrooms and picnic pavilions with grills. Swimming area. Fishing dock area. Beautiful. Will be coming back regularly now.

I long boarded around here and they have a small short area with smooth concrete to walk/bike but it looks like they are building more paths where you might be able to skate. Beautiful place to see a sunset on the water. Has a playground, a few piers, and a boat launch too.

Beautiful Bayside park. Large children's playground, plenty of restrooms and Pavillion. You can swim, no life guards on duty. There is also a boat launch. A hidden gem.

Love love love! This was our 2nd time at Stewby’s, and we dined at the shanty that offers fried or grilled fish. (The steamer building offers steamed or flat pan grilled fish, which we will try another time!). We ordered both the grouper and mahi mahi, grilled, which is seasoned with their grill seasoning which you can purchase for $8 at their counter. The grouper is definitely the best, and we preferred it over the mahi, although the mahi was very good too. The grouper just tastes fresher even though both are freshly caught. The hushpuppies and coleslaw are outstanding, might be the tastiest we’ve ever had. String beans and cheesy grits are solid. I would pass on the banana pudding - wish it were mixed with whip cream and had more banana like the recipe from NYC’s Magnolia Bakery. The keylime pie is very good. The indoor dining area is made up of picnic tables and you pickup your food from the counter on trays. We will be back!

We like to eat at different places when we travel to experience different things. However, this place was so GOOD that we ate here 3 times in one week! Everything that we tried was delicious! Here is what we had over the 3 meals: fried grouper, fried shrimp, grouper sandwich, steamed crab legs (from steamer), cheese grits, Cole slaw, beans, okra, onion rings, fish dip, shrimp salad, and potato salad. All were excellent!! We would eat them all again and recommend each (with the exception of the beans). This place is super casual and the appearance is nothing fancy but their food is the quality of a 5-star seafood restaurant. We jokingly said, “we don’t know who Stewby is, but Stewby knows what he’s doing!!” Hope to visit from GA again soon just to eat here. Highly recommend!

Kelli is excellent and took care of us right away. You can sit outdoors or indoors; both are great. The staff is FANTASTIC, wonderfully friendly, and the service was fast. The food is amazingly good, great quality! You won't find more bang for your buck anywhere. We loved it and hope to return before we leave Destin.

Great great fresh seafood ! All was excellent! Loved the fried shrimp 🍤 and the cheese grits but not quite as good as Metro Diner in my opinion ! Great iced tea too was fresh ! You order at the front then they call your number ! They have a great efficiency with their system! There was a line but not too bad moves quickly - we ate at the fried side the other building is the steamed side - like low country boil - crawfish etc ! Hats off to stewbys! Can’t wait to come back !

The fish tacos were so good! Im not a fan of coleslaw but when I ate those I immediately loved it. The steamed family feast was also AMAZING! Just the right amount of seasoning and the right portions. The hushpuppies were delicioussss! Mine did come burnt one time but mistakes happen. 🥲 Now the setting was great. They had the cutest string lights and tables. But the most you could fit on their tables would be a family of 4-6. Small but plenty. The service is also fast when the place isnt packed. Theyre popular so make sure to come at the right time. This is one of the best places to go to in Fort Walton, for sure.

The food was really good and the service was friendly. It is not what I was expecting. You order at the counter and then they call your number to get your food. It has a fast food vibe but the Amberjack fish was delicious. The grits were tasty and the fries were the battered kind. If you don't mind the quick service vibe, the food is really good!!

Ridiculously delicious. I don’t know what seasoning they throw on their grub, but I want it injected in my veins. I got the chicken and colossal shrimp. My girlfriend got grilled shrimp and fried oysters. The batter was seasoned incredibly, the chicken was tender, shrimp cooked perfectly (not rubbery at all) , both hers and mine. Okra was pretty good, but I’d get it with a ranch instead of ketchup. There’s a reason there’s a line outside of this place. (We ordered pickup and skipped all the silly people in line.) Don’t go to anywhere else that claims to have seafood (besides Old Bay Steamer if u fancy like that) come to Stewby’s or face the wrath of the mighty Poseidon, God of the Seas. Fun place full of tons of neat things! The building is deceptively large, I was not excepting it to have so many booths in there. There's a huge variety of items from antiques, to vintage items, even Labubu dolls. 😆 Will come back again for sure!

This place is bigger than it looks. I wouldn't call it a flea market. More of antique mall along with other things. Its all different vendors so prices go from good, to average to overpriced. Lots of interesting stuff. Worth checking out.

Well I'll tell you right now I thought the place was awesome well I'm down here in Holly Florida and I googled it looking for fudge in someone recommended this place wow what a selection just delicious. Now I'm going back there Monday I'm going to try to find a couple of Christmas brooches antique that's my plan and then walk around the rest of the place. I would stop there just to check it out

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s still as great as ever. The pad Thai flavor changed a bit and doesn’t taste as authentic but the Thai noodle soup here is the best I’ve had. They changed the system so now you order everything at the front and they’ll call your number for your food. It’s much more efficient now because it used to be a long wait for some food items. Now you can wait for all of your food at once. No more farmers' markets.

Though I'm not Buddhist, I was curious about the temple and have seen the monks around town. Sunday is their public Thai Market, so I decided to stop in, and I was amazed! The grounds are beautiful, the food is fresh and delicious, and people were so helpful! Someone gave us some literature to read and explained all of the rituals and chanting. I brought flowers to leave as an offering, and there was someone there to guide me in where/how to do it. Whether you'd just like some Thai food or are interested in the faith and culture, Wat Mongkolratanaram is more than worth a visit!

Sunday Market at Thai Temple! Cash only. Open Sundays from ~8:30/9 AM to when food runs out, which is ~1 PM. Recommend folks come by 11 AM to ensure they get everything they want since that's around when specific items start running out. Cash only - closest ATM is at the Six Brothers Food Store about a block away. Great food, great people!

Very lovely. You can feel great peace coming from the Buddha Statues. Large are to sit in the shade. The flea market is 9am to 2pm on Sunday. We enjoyed the flea market. The food is awesome with generous portions. The monks are smiling always...

Even my cat loves the Thai Temple food! Sunday Thai Temple is our ritual. They no longer have the market here but it's still open for food.

We enjoyed visiting and drinking a cold brew at Props! The atmosphere was laidback, fun, clean with a great beer 🍻 selection! My favorite is the Blueberry and I was happy to enjoy a pumpkin beer as well! A flight is also available if you want to try out their beers! Kyle served us and was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers! We saw a few people come with their dogs, and the Props cats are a nice addition!

Just went to my first trivia night. It’s also my first week without kids in 27 years. I can’t believe I wasted one of my nights at this trivia event. I was expecting intelligent trivia questions. The first category was about Spam, the canned meat. No history, literature, science, technology, etc. What a waste of my time!!

Stumbled upon this great little brewery while staying nearby in Fort Walton Beach. They had a good selection of beers and alcoholic beverages, including some unique fruit and lavender beers, a solid IPA (Flying Coffin), and even a mead. I personally recommend getting a flight - $10 for four smaller pours is an easy way to try out multiple beers. They also offer light appetizer/bar food if you get hungry. The bartender was very friendly and funny, I believe her name was Kristen, and the other patrons were all friendly too. Me and my friend went on a Thursday during trivia night and that made our experience even better! The trivia was entertaining and they even threw in a few random "free beer" questions to make things interesting. Overall I would go back here if I'm ever in FWB and I highly recommend.

Really good beer and absolutely amazing service from Michelle. We come down to vacation in Fort Walton Beach every year and this was our first time stopping in the taproom. Needless to say, we will be back whenever we are in town.

Nice little forested area with a creek running through it. Trail is relatively flat with very minor protruding roots every now and again. Couple small wood bridges. Mostly shaded with dappled sunlight. Could take a stroller with inflatable wheels, but wouldn't recommend solid plastic wheel types. Aside from some moderate road noise, you could forget you were in the city for a bit here.

Loved this little park!! Its unexpected in the middle of the city! The nature sounds are amazing and though its a small trail its well worth it. It had just rained before we got there so it wasn't as hot but there is shade everywhere and the creek is just an awesome bonus!

Nice area to walk, and bring your dog. Plenty of trash cans, dog bags, and sitting areas along the trail. Very pleasant and shady area. Trail isn't super long, which is great, just long enough for a good walk.

Cute little walk going through the trees and over the creek a couple times. Lots of roots poking throughout the trail but nothing that isn't to be expected on a nature trail. The creek was on the lower side when we came but we did see a cute little turtle! There is an area with picnic tables but no restrooms. Watch for wildlife! (Mosquitos and one tick) But nothing out of the ordinary! Still a nice little quiet trail!

This park is a chance to get away from the urban life within the city. Bordered by Miracle Strip Pkwy and close to the water. The entrance to the nature walk is on Hollywood Blvd between Hill Ave NW and Doolittle Blvd. A quick walk for a clear mind!

Great trail. I recommend noise cancelling headphones if you want to ignore the sounds of traffic on all 4 sides of the park. Can really feel immersed that way.

Most disrespectful bartender I’ve ever seen. My friend asked him what beers he had and he just goes “just look at the wall”. We also heard him saying he was trying to get people out of the bar because he wanted to close earlier on his shift. Then proceeded to refuse to accept my girlfriend’s ID claiming it was fake although it isn’t. Would never come back again.

Awesome place! I’ve been around since Salty Duck first opened on the strip & it’s only gone uphill with atmosphere & crowd. Impressive bartenders even knew how to make a vintage shot called a “lunchbox” for my husband’s 40th birthday. Fun spot.

A bar is only as good as its staff and the staff at the Salty Duck deserves a 10 outta 10. The atmosphere gets a 10 outta 10 too. We went to the salty duck while at the beach for a bachelorette weekend and immediately upon walking in it was obvious we were the odd "ducks" out in a bar full of locals. We all questioned our decision worried that it would not be the greatest experience. I'm glad we stayed because it was the best experience. Matt, DJ, and John were fantastic bartenders who made the evening so much fun. The doorman was helpful and super nice. The music was perfect and fit the vibe. The beer was cold and with a great selection you can't go wrong. I will definitely go back when visiting the area. Easily the best bar I've been to in a long time. Went for the drinks and stayed for the people.

Would recommend a zillion times. Much better cruise than any commercial dolphin cruise I’ve been on. Thanks to the captain and his mate for making it something to remember!! We are from Cincinnati Ohio and would make this a must do every time we come down.

What a great experience!!! Cpt. Tony and crew were fantastic, laid back and knew where to find the dolphins. We went as a family of 5, myself, wife and three kids 13,12 and 5. The sunset cruise was beautiful and amazing! James and Captain Tony were awesome! Both of them are very nice and made the cruise a lot of fun! Got to see lots of dolphins, too! 🐬😊

Truly, the best time!!!! We saw lots of dolphins, several sharks, LOTS of beautiful jelly fish (didn’t realize jelly fish could be beautiful 🙃) The boat was amazing. We had plenty of room to walk around to each side and to move from front to back. We saw other tours out there, but they were so crowded it looked like the people couldn’t move around. Also, they were pretty high up from the water. There is no way they could have had the views we did. The captain and assistant were lots of fun too! I highly recommend you pick this cruise!!! I can be hard to please on excursions like this, but this one exceeded my expectations! DO IT! Note: We were there Sept. 2025

We had the best time! We do the cruise every summer and it never disappoints! My 3 and 5 year old loved it! We saw sooo many dolphins! The crew was super kind! Def will be back!

The catamaran was a fantastic way to snorkel and then see dolphins and the sunset! Captain Tony was engaging, funny, professional and knowledgeable. James, the First Mate, was great as well. A must do on Fort Walton/Destin. Would definitely do it again!

4th time with Cattywampus and this was the best yet. We did the afternoon into evening cruise and Captain Tony was great again. Lots of Dolphins and a jumping Manta Ray. 3hr tour and a beautiful sunset. We'll be back for number 5.

The store advertises that they close at 10 pm but yet if you arrive after 9 pm they will not let your children play golf. They are rude about the experience when you have crying upset kids . And the ice cream is $6 and the selection is slim.

We’ve visited several times and always had a great experience, whether playing mini golf or grabbing a treat. This time we came just for ice cream—and it did not disappoint! The shop offers a wide variety of flavors, and the serving sizes are super generous. The staff was friendly as always, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Their well-lit mini golf course is a fun option for all ages, day or night. Definitely a great spot for a casual, family-friendly outing. We’ll be back again soon!

If you're looking for a fun and affordable way to spend an afternoon in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, then I highly recommend Okaloosa National Mini Golf & Ice Cream. This hidden gem is located just off of Santa Rosa Boulevard, and it's the perfect place to cool off on a hot day! The mini golf course is two-tiered, with a variety of obstacles to challenge even the most experienced golfers. There's also a small arcade, so you can play some games while you wait for your turn on the course. But the real star of the show is the ice cream. Okaloosa National has a wide variety of flavors to choose from, including my personal favorite, the chocolate peanut butter swirl. The ice cream is made fresh daily, and it's served in a waffle cone that's perfectly golden brown. After you've played a round of mini golf and indulged in some ice cream, you can relax on the patio and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding area. Okaloosa National is a great place to spend a day with family or friends, and I highly recommend it.

Only the Oaks course is currently open due to renovating the greens on the Pines. Once the Pines opens back up in September I will update my review. Then Oaks is in fair condition. The greens can be bumpy and the speed seems to vary from day to day. But the course management appears to try to keep it up as best they can. But compared to almost all the other courses in the area, golf is very reasonably priced, especially if you purchase a membership and play a round once a week or more. Several holes could do with larger tee boxes, as the turf gets pretty beat up. Also, the tee boxes could use some refurbishment, as a number of them are severely crowned or sloped. Still, for this area, it's very reasonably priced.

Hands down dollar for dollar the best golf courses you can play on the Emerald Coast! The property has recently undergone much needed course renovations and brought on several new amenities in the process. As a local member of the club, I couldn’t be happier with all of the recent improvements that have been made to the property and the continued attention to making the course a better experience to play. Keep it up!

I was enjoying my round until things took a turn. The group ahead told us to slow down — even though we weren’t rushing them. Out of respect, we did. But later, a course worker came up and rudely told us we were playing too slow. His tone was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. And was just watching us the whole time. It’s frustrating to get mixed signals and then be disrespected by staff. Golf should be a relaxing experience, not one where you’re talked down to. Please train your staff to treat players with basic courtesy.

Would not recommend playing here if you have a group. We came to town as a group of 9 for a batchlor party and called 3 weeks in advance to book a tee time, the course said they dont take tee times more than a week out to which we understood. Once we were 7 days out we called and asked if we could make tee times and play as a group to which we were told it would be no problem so as we book 2 tee times. We arrived early check in and started as a group as we were told we could with no issues. On hole 3 we were apptoched my management asking us to split up. We were confused as to why we were asked this when we were allowed to start as a group to begin with but obliged and broke into 2 groups of 5 and 4. We carried on playing untill hole 7 when again we were approached by management tellimg us we couldn’t play as a 5 some. We asked to see it in policy where there was no 5 skme to which we were given the response “we normally allow groups of 5 but we aren't currently allowing it because one course is under renovation” so once again we were forcd to split groups absolutely ruining our afternoon. After making it to the turn and askin for A refund on the back nine we were told all we would be Given is a rain check or we could continue as 3 groups. Ive Never been to a course that is so poorly managed and run by such incompetent and arrogant employees. we spent close to 1000$ as a group between greens fees, drinks and food and wernt even able to enjoy our round. We will absolutely never be back and wouldn’t suggest it to anyone else either. Had we been told we couldn’t play as a group we would have happily played elsewhere

Don’t go to play here if you like playing a round of golf without being harassed. Me and a group of friends went to play a round this weekend for our friends bachelor trip and were harassed multiple times by the course staff for our group size. We made 2 consecutive tee times and called a week ahead (the earliest we could make a tee time was a week ahead) to make sure we would be okay if we had 9 playing because we didn’t want to have any issues. We told the worker we would play best ball to keep the pace of play and the worker on the phone said that wouldn’t be an issue. We showed up an hour before our tee time to make sure we weren’t going to have any issues if we played best ball to which the pro shop confirmed a second time that it would be okay. Finally we got a 3rd confirmation from the starter at hole 1 of the Oaks course that our group playing best ball would be fine because we started our round 20 minutes early to give a healthy gap between us and the next tee time. On hole 2, two workers came out and very rudely told us it didn’t matter what we had been told before and we needed to break up because we had too many people on a hole at a time. We split up into 2 smaller groups and 2 holes later another worker came out to say that we had too many people still and we needed to separate. We argued with the worker again and he said “Man we normally let people play like this, but people are calling and complaining so we just have to break it up to keep the peace.” After 9 holes we went to the clubhouse and requested a refund for the other 9 holes because we came to celebrate our friend getting married and nobody got to spend time together, but they said the best they could do was give us a rain check. This was the solution they provided us with even after we told them that we had people come in all the way from as far as South Carolina to Texas just for this trip. They said they just don’t do refunds, but the truth is we paid almost $600 and they didn't want the refund to hit their sales for the day. It’s pretty obvious the workers knew they were going to bust us up once we got on the course, but they didn’t want to miss out on the large sale. Our group was really looking forward to golf all weekend and your rude wishy washy staff made that experience miserable.

How could anyone ruin a perfectly good golf course the way that you have it. Why would any sensible person plant three palm trees in the middle of number one fairway? Leave the roughs knee-high so you cannot find your ball, or put a bunker in at the number 11 green that is 4 foot deep that requires a caution rope be placed around it to keep people from driving into it. The person in charge of this should seek other employment. He obviously does not know what a municipal golf course this should be. Shameful.

Remarkable improvement to the Pines. Staff took a decrepit course & turned it into a pristine, challenging set of 18 holes. The FWB brand is fresh. Every interaction with staff has been positive over the last 6-9 months. Huge thank you to this establishment as they continue to pursue excellence & support multiple Jr Golf Tours & programs throughout the NWF area. What a beautiful gem this little park is! If you love bird watching then this is the place for you! All while learning of some really cool women in history. Lots of great blue herons and red-winged blackbirds and certain times of the year you'll see the birds that migrate pass thru. It's an incredible little park for bird photography.

Relatively small park which combines a tribute to female veterans with a nature trail. It takes about 15 minutes to make the loop and it was well worth the time. In addition to the military statues we saw several Great Blue Herons and various other smaller bird species.

Behind it is the bird sanctuaries. Great blue herrings, bald eagles, owls and osprey to name the predators. Seen gray fox, swamp puppies and beach hobo encampments there too. Be careful the hermit crabs

Went to this local favorite to try for the first time. Didn’t know what to expect, it’s a walk up service, they prepare your order and call you to the pick up window. The place Carrie’s that beach restaurant vibe and was very clean. The staff was friendly and gave great advice. I had the grilled Amber Jack with green beans, potato salad and a side of gumbo. First, their hush puppies are FANTASTIC. Crunchy with great flavor. The Amber Jack was perfectly seasoned, maybe a grilled a little too long, but still had great flavor. The green beans are made in a bacon base and are fantastic and still a little snap to them. The potato salad is thick, hearty and pretty good. The gumbo was okay too, had pretty solid flavor and lots of different ingredients. If you get it, you’re gonna want to let it sit as it’s really hot (temp). I’m glad people suggested I try it. It is good.

I’ve eaten a lot of fried fish sandwiches in my day… but Stewby’s is my favorite!! Their fish selection is great. Their fries are the crispy battered type (superior in my opinion) and the tea is delicious! That’s about all it takes to keep me coming back, but I’ve brought enough people here to know that the rest of their menu is wonderful as well! When my mom comes to visit this is our first stop and normally deserves one or a few more after that ;)

All I can say is wow!!! I was visiting in Ft. Walton a couple of weeks ago and hit these guys up 3 times!! My favorite is the mahi mahi sandwich yet everything was great!! Great service as well as a clean restaurant!! Oh and the onion rings were amazing as well!!

I have celiac and have to eat gluten-free. Stewby’s team members were so helpful with their recommendations and they Evan had a separate GF menu! I got the Shrimp, potato salad, and green beans and my mom got the Grouper sandwich and fries. We will be back!! Highly recommend!

The fries were so good!!! I got the popcorn shrimp but my large family of 15+ got nearly every separate thing on the menu and we had no complaints. The customer service was amazing and they were very attentive. They even gave us free refills! The environment was nice and cool in the Florida heat :)

Went for the grouper sandwich and onion rings. Fish batter was well seasoned, and the grouper was incredibly fresh and fried to perfection. The onion rings were well seasoned, and freshly breaded and fried. The staff is also incredibly nice!

Set in a lovely and spacious setting, this is an excellent spot to enjoy breakfast. The food is delicious and well prepared to stimulate the appetite, making it a must-visit for those seeking a truly satisfying start to the day.

Really disappointed. We are fairly local but had never tried it. Had to wait to be seated but that wasn’t the bad part. Took way too long to be acknowledged for our drinks. Ok, got our drinks and waited again. I got the crab cake Benedict see pic attached poached eggs were hard boiled no way around that and husband ordered over medium eggs well, that was even worse. Whites were so runny I’m not sure why they would even be plated. Couldn’t get the attention of our waitress so finally caught the eye of a gentleman and who took them back but felt like he wasn’t happy that we didn’t want to eat the raw eggs. Well, this all leads to the fact we wouldn’t go back. EVER!

I came her last summer 2024 for the first time for breakfast and I haven’t stopped coming every time I come back to Okaloosa since then! I eat their breakfast nearly every morning I’m there! Their food is phenomenal! Shipwrecked potatoes, seafood omelet, and the delicious huge homemade biscuits with the honey butter are all my favorites! But more than the food I love the friendly folks who own this place and work here!! We felt like we were locals coming by for our usual breakfast order!!!

I saw that this place had good reviews online, so my family and I decided to go there. There was a line at the door and it was very busy inside. Luckily we were able to get a seat and our lovely hostess guided us there. Our waiter was amazing. He made us laugh and was patient with us. Our waiter treated us like we were family. I decided to get the Steak Skillet. The Steak Skillet had of course steak with potatoes, peppers, and scrambled eggs. The Steak just pairs well with everything. I also had a little bit of my dad's blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious.

Our food arrived quickly and very fresh. I ordered a lighter breakfast and it came with a large bowl of very fresh fruit. My husband ordered a skillet meal that had lots of cheese and toppings. Great service as well. We will be back. Also bought a coffee mug!

Seafood omelet came with grits and your choice of bread. It was loaded with shrimp and crab. Husband got King of the Biscuits which he enjoyed. Overall good experience, would recommend.

I remember this place from a handful of years ago and I remember it being sooo good. we visitors again this month and it was just not the same as I remembered. I ordered the same thing - local sandwich, ham, with asiago cheese! I think maybe more cheese would have been better? my boyfriend ordered a chorizo omelette and it was delicious

owls is a great place to eat and hang out because it's located on the beach and there is a pier right next door where you can fish or walk on and I have fireworks certain nights of the week. Al's always has entertainment for kids and adults and they have live music. There shopping in a few stores. Kitty Hawk Kite store is located there in the mall attached to Al's. The food is great!

Fun place to bring your family for good entertainment and play fun of children. They have outside game for them to play and water sprinklers for the kids to sit, play and cool off on. Plus, a beautiful view of the Pier and beach. Also a handicap ramp down to the sand. Can't go wrong. Food is of course way over priced fast food but hey, the amenities are great!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I don’t have ONE bad thing to say about this place! The onion rings were really good and we sat at the bar and a couple drinks. Our bartender Mikey was a really cool guy and you can tell how much he loves his job. He had a great personality and hyped up my now fiancé to propose to me, which he did on the beach right after we left!!! The live music “Tribe Zion “ I believe was awesome and sang a little bit of everything. It was just a chill atmosphere and all the lights made the experience feel so much better. We will definitely be returning customers.

We were disappointed with Al’s overall. We had heard great things about it and had high hopes, but left saying it was just a tourist trap. Their website says the hamburgers are made from their proprietary blend that is ground fresh daily from choice cuts of beef. If this is true, they are wasting their money because the burger tasted VERY ordinary. The handcut fries were just ok. I’ve had way better from other places. All of the food items we received were just ok. The drinks… well they were pretty. If they had alcohol in them it was not much at all. The atmosphere was good. Very beach bar vibe with live music. It was great for a onetime visit, but for the price we paid we were VERY disappointed. We will probably not return when in the area. We visited several restaurants and this was the worst food we had. Service was just ok overall. When our food was delivered they didn’t even walk around the table, actually handed it to us.

Honestly, Food: Great -- the food is pretty good. Basically bar food, in sandwich and burger form. They're yummy. My only con is that they--along with the drinks--are pretty expensive, but given location and proximity to tourist destinations, it's to be expected. Service: Decent -- they are very friendly and accommodating however bc it's bar service only it can be kind of slow. So bring your patience along with your beach volleyball. Atmosphere: Fantastic -- beach is right there. Volleyball is fun to watch and even better to participate. The boardwalk and pier are also nearby. The live music is a great touch, and I appreciate the washing stations near the beach.

Overall a good place despite my rating. Food selection was limited and pricey. Drinks were good but also pricey. However, it's right on the beach and nestled between several other resrestaurants. It is not a full service place, food is ordered at the counter. Close proximity to the pier which is worth the time to walk out on.

The lady who took our order was not happy nor helpful. My wife asked for the fried onions and mushrooms on her burger. She said “we don’t have the mushrooms rn” My wife: “Oh that’s Okay, I’ll take avocado instead” She charged us for the avocado and fried onions. The cups are paper and dissolve quickly. The only reason to go here is because you’re already at the boardwalk and they have live music and water features for kids. I would not recommend. Don’t bother eating at the chain places at the boardwalk. Go to a local seafood joint instead.

Lovely local place right on the bay. James was amazing and my croissant was buttery and delicious! BUT, we did find a hair in the French onion soup. Otherwise, this place was lovely.

Waterfront Dining at Its Best! Bay Cafe in Fort Walton Beach is truly a hidden gem! We came by boat and docked right at the restaurant, which made for the perfect start to an unforgettable evening. The views of the water were stunning, the service was attentive, and the food—absolutely incredible. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. This is what waterfront dining should be. Highly recommend for a romantic dinner or a relaxing night with friends. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning. Great location. We are outside and it was perfect. Very clean, wonderful food, reasonable portion sizes for one person. The food was delicious, though my medium rare steak was more on the done side. We will be back again.

Thursday Evening Dinner Bayside was very nice. I have been to tons of fine dining restaurants around the country, The Grilled Pork Chop at Bay Cafe for just $32 was the best I've ever had. Go there and enjoy.

Red Snapper special was too die for at lunch, with a healthy portion of fish! Wok chicken was a great and delicious due to the extreme heat that plagued our area. It’s always a pleasure taking the boat to Bay Cafe!

What a hidden gem! Beautiful outdoor waterfront seating, super attentive and friendly staff, and high quality food at reasonable prices. I splurged and got the Seabass Piccata, best decision ever! I’m still thinking about how delicious it was and the homemade blueberry tart was a perfect end to a perfect meal. Two enthusiastic thumbs up 👍

Went tonight and was very disappointed. Took 3 of my friends there . Haven't been in awhile. Sat for 20 minutes with Reservation, they were not busy.. no service. Ac was not on ..had to ask to turn on.. forgot our appetizer. Not a good experience. Disappointed it use to be my favorite place to eat. View is great.. but they really feel short

Definitely worth eating here. Food was delicious and filling. Friendly customer service. Restaurant was clean and not a long wait for food once ordered. Portion size was just right, not too much you left feeling full and not overstuffed. Will definitely be back here to eat.

First visit and I look forward to more in the future. I ordered Nachos, Chicken, chipotle style. Unique menu style for sure and it worked really well. The chicken had great flavor and was cooked perfect not all dry or undercooked. I was really happy with my meal My wife ordered Shrimp tacos and she loved them she said the shrimp was awesome. both of us were very happy with our meal and the environment as well. 5 stars – Great Food, Service, and Even Better Margaritas! We had an awesome experience at Burrito del Sol! The food and service were both excellent—friendly staff, fast service, and everything came out fresh and hot. I had the chicken tacos and also tried the tempeh tacos, and both were absolutely spot on. Great flavor, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. What really surprised me (in the best way) were the jalapeño margaritas—they were honestly better than the ones we had at Margaritaville, and that’s saying something. Bold, spicy, and super refreshing. Definitely recommend Burrito del Sol if you're looking for quality tacos and a chill atmosphere. We’ll be back for sure!

Local burrito hotspot. Great drinks and a good time right on 98. They have sort of moe’s ordering style where you choose your protein and then your prep style then grab a drink and get to it. It’s relatively inexpensive and they have a great drinks setup up for alcohol or soda. Definitely a local favorite.

Great location on Miracle Strip a couple blocks before the Publix. I went during one of their HH (M-T, 4-6) and ordered tempeh tacos on corn tortillas and a house margarita with Tajin. The Margarita was 🔥 The tacos were good but could have used a sauce or guacamole. I don’t eat dairy so I didn’t get the sour cream or cheese; however it would be nice to have the option to swap the guac for the dairy toppings. Overall I had a great visit on the outside patio right under a big shady tree 😊

Went here for a date while down in Florida..I can definitely say i was not disappointed the staff were friendly after telling them I was visiting from Georgia. They let me know how to order and even gave recommendations on what they heard was best. This has been the second restaurant where ive seen a bar/wine type place attached to the other side. The last time I saw that was in Biloxi mississippi. The food was great and I enjoyed the overall experience.

I went to Burrito Del Sol after a very long day. I came in and was able to quickly order my food. What I noticed is that with the menu you can order either Taco, Burrito, Nachos, or Quesadillas and have them in Baja, Chipotle, Southwest, or BBQ Style. I decided to get the Steak Burrito in BBQ Style. The steak in the burrito was really good and juicy. The Problem with the burrito is that it didn't feel like a true BBQ style. I feel like if they added some BBQ sauce and more cheese it could have helped the burrito a lot.

We have truly enjoyed The Gulf restaurant. We have been here multiple times over the years visiting the area and its absolutely one of our favorites. Its not the normal dining location. Its directly on the intracoastal waters, you can even dock your boat. Outdoor open eating with lots of cover/shade, lots of room for kids to play, lots of tables, also has some inside seating. Large outdoor bar, and really good food! We have never had a bad experience. The service is great, and like I said, the food is fantastic. We just visited today and Sofia took our order. She was super nice and helpful with menu questions. Mikaila delivered our food and was friendly and even grabbed us a few more things promptly and with a big smile. Thank you! Fans forever :)

Great place to eat and drink on Okaloosa Island. Great atmosphere. Most of it was outdoors right on the bay. Even the bar was outdoors but mostly covered. They do have indoor seating as well. This is a order at the window kinda place then they bring the food to your table. There is also a dock for boats to park.

Beautiful time of year to enjoy our own backyard local eateries and The Gulf didn’t disappoint. The food, service, and atmosphere were perfect. I actually think the food is better now than when it first opened. So glad we came here for lunch! My husband and I shared a meal, but honestly it was the perfect amount for the two of us.

Looked up places to eat near the aquarium and found many excellent reviews of this place. Definitely glad we went here food was absolutely amazing. Of course we all had to try each other’s dish all were so delicious. Everything was outdoors and it was raining a little bit. They had covered seating so still made for a great experience. Would recommend everything we had especially the shrimp tacos.

I took my family of 10 out on a boat tour and was able to dock at the establishment for lunch. The place has stunning views, plenty of photo opportunities, family and pet friendly! The little ones enjoyed the gift shop, feeding the fish, photo booth & corn-hole! We were ecstatic they could accommodate us with ease and not have to wait for seating. We walked up to the bar and Nicole was prompt and very welcoming! Delicious mocktail mojito & creamy frozen pina colada! We were able to order food from the bar and skip the line by the window. We were handed a metal number and the food was delivered fairly quick! Between the Mahi Bowl, Lobster Roll, Smoked Tuna Dip, Guacamole, Queso, Gulf Burger, Grilled Cheese, Surf & Turf Bowl & the blackened Snapper BLT, everyone was happy and no complaints! I’ll definitely be docking again soon with friends! I’m stunned I’ve lived in the area all my life and just discovered this place!

Loved our first experience at The Gulf. Everyone was very nice and helpful about informing us where to order and get drinks. The bartender Katie was wonderful and mixed some great drinks. I definitely recommend getting the Surfs Up cocktail! Food was excellent and the scenery was great with all the boats going by. We will definitely be back and will bring visitors with us!

Food is pretty good and the location is unique. I had snow crab and thought it was better than the steamer down the street. The larger legs came out without shredding like it had been cooked recently. Could also just be luck… The sides were not good. Mushy corn and bland potatoes. Fried shrimp was tasty according to my mom, but french fries were awful. Like cardboard sticks.

Came in on a not very busy Saturday night around 8pm. Greeted and sat quickly. We ordered the jalapeno poppers, sweet potato truffle fries, chicken and crepes, the mac and cheese and the shrimp pad tie tacos. Poppers were delicious and the fries were out of this world delectable. Chicken and crepes were also very good, but were served somewhat cold. The Mac and cheese was served at the correct temp but was sub par to say the least, not very flavorful, and had a pile of breadcrumbs on top, meh. We ate about 4 bites. All the food arrived at the exact same time... Which is probably why some was cold, would have been nice if they staggered them a bit. We ordered the tacos after everything else and they were perfect. For drinks we had a maker's old fashioned which was top notch, a glass of red wine which was good and an Expresso martini which tasted like folder's coffee with with vodka in it... Not good at all. Even though we didn't eat the mac and cheese and explained about the martini, we were still charged 1/2 price... I feel they should have just been removed from the ticket. The service and server were really good and Smiley was very polite and conversational. Overall cool place, would try again. Cheers.

Stopped by for some brunch. It was late in the afternoon just after 1. I was feeling lucky that they served brunch until 2!! It was better than I expected based on the appearance. I got in to town late so I just kinda wandered around downtown and someone suggested I give this place a try. Great serving brunch until 2!!! At first glance it looked a little worn down, maybe at night with the lights and patio it looks cute but during the day it's age is showing. My server was great and recommend a few items. I would go back again price was good and so was the food! I ordered the breakfast tacos, with chorizo and came with a side of fried home style potatoes. Yummy and a Bloody Mary!

Sat at the bar. The bar stools were weird because I kept slowly sliding down. The bartender was teaching another bartender some things and they were such a joy to talk to. Drinks were delicious. A little on the sweeter side but I personally liked them. The food was so good!!! Had a great selection of drinks.

A group of us went to Taste for brunch. The wait was 45 minutes or so for a table of 4. We were able to get mimosas at the bar while we waited for our table. The food came out fresh and was very delicious. They make their bloody mary mix in house and it's amazing. The kitchen was out of certain things on the menu, so be sure to ask before you get your heart set on the lobster eggs benedict. The hostess stand was a bit unpleasant, but the server was outstanding. She had a huge personality and really seemed to enjoy visiting with patrons.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tapas wine bar!! The food was amazingly flavorful, fresh, & mouth watering. The service was excellent as well. Beyond pleased with this experience. If you’re staying in Destin or Fort Walton, I would come here before some of the more touristy restaurants in Destin. The vibe was also a really great atmosphere sitting outside. More quiet on the inside. 5/5 10/10

Definitely recommend. Nice little area of FWB and the inside has a relaxing vibe. Our server, Jennifer, was accommodating and shared information. Most important the food and wine was good. Chicken & crepes were my favorite, also goat cheese empanadas (not pictured). Mac & cheese was the best I’ve ever had, not heavy but still full of flavor. Calamari had a lot quantity wise for tapas and was a little chewy

Their Curry Katsu bowl is so rich and developed and delicious. Like next level good. Would be cool if you could chose a spice level but either way delicious. The Bulgogi was delicious as well, I got the pickled veggies and stir fry veggies and was super worth it. The Egg Drop Soup has a slight smokey flavor too it and is not thick and syrupy like some other places around here and the Pork or Veggie Spring Rolls (2) are delicious as well. The Pork Dumplings (5) are really good as well. This place is fantastic.

The Fort Walton Beach lunch spot. Full lunch for $13- comparable price to fast food with infinite more quality. Even when busy service has been quick and food delicious. If you’re in town stop in if you’re a local ya already know

I really enjoyed my time at Domo Café. The staff was friendly, and treated all customers with a traditional Japanese greeting (Ohayō or Konnichiwa). There was plenty of seating options (place can occupy about 50 people), I sat at the bar and the view of the chefs preparing your meal was nice. They’ve done a great job of creating an atmosphere that lends itself well to the food being served. Anime posters, and figurines litter the shelf space on the wall - the low light setting was a vibe. I recommend this place to anyone looking to grab a bite to eat at a place that understands how to make a solid bowl of ramen.

Love Love Love the food. Sushi is bomb and the bents and bowls are just as good. We’re new to the area and this place hit our craving spot!

We had the beef/chicken bulgogi bento box and the spicy Korean bento box with a secret garden and California roll. It was delicious! My favorites were the spicy Korean and cucumber kimchi. The California roll was just ok but i really liked the secret garden roll. We’ll definitely go back next time we’re on vacation here.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone here for sushi! I’m so glad it’s only a few minutes away from me! Here’s my two go when I go. I get almost every time! Deja Vu Roll and Ninja Roll and Wakame Salad. Nom nom! Oh and that drink it’s a boba with honey dew blended! So good!

This is a tiny little shop next to the road alongside other shops. There are so many different types of coffee they grind fresh there. I liked the atmosphere as it reminded me of a small coffee spot I've been to overseas. The barista was super chill but not very helpful as I told her it was my first time. I see the menu ma'am that explains the drinks...I need an interpreter for toddlers when it comes to trying to make a replica of my normal corprate coffee chain order. Anyway,there is small outside area to sit and eat as well. Over all the coffee was pretty good and it got the job done.

Visited this place on a whim. It's a tiny little shop, with amazing coffee and the barista had mad foam drawing skills. Several small tables out back, or some swings under arbors are also available in the rear. The Teddy coffee creation was delectable, just the right amount of sweetness and amazing coffee flavor. Others in my group loved their coffee as well. We didn't try the pastries, but they looked delicious. Highly recommend!

Our family had a wonderful time at Maas Coffee during our vacation in Fort Walton Beach this week. My wife and I enjoyed a delicious iced redneck latte. Amelia made our visit even more special for our kids. She was incredibly patient with them and made them both delicious Italian sodas! We will definitely return next time we visit FWB, in hopes of continuing to support locally owned businesses.

The store is very nice and the delicious coffee, the somewhat ugly terrace I imagined something more comfortable and pleasant but the store is beautiful, full of cute details and the smell of coffee is in love. Successes

I had the tiramisu latte which was delicious. The outdoor seating atmosphere was cozy. And to top it all off, the lady heard us raving about the baklava cheesecake so she gave my friend and I a free slice 🥹

Authentic matcha lattes here! So delicious wnd many options to choose from!! The beautiful barista was by herself working and the line just kept growing and growing! She never once buckled or showing she was overwhelmed!! GIVE HER A RAISE!!! She truly did amazing!! Love you queen!!!

Me, a newbie in town, was told by a friend about Maas; rode by here uncountable times since moving to FWB and never even noticed their quaint little shop hiding right there in plain sight. I stopped in today for the first time - fell in love immediately - super good coffee. What a coffee shop should be. Friendly service, informative and patient with the plebe that visited today. Me. Out back there's a sweet gathering area to sit and stay awhile... Forget Starbucks, Caribou, Panera and all the rest of them... Maas Coffee Roasters is the place you want around here for great coffee in great variety. I've officially become a coffee snob! 🧐 They sell beans to go for brewing at home, too. No more ordering from Amazon. 👍 And the prices? Much more reasonable than the chain shops. Lots of parking in back along Brooks Street. Go here. Do it. You'll love it!

Always a great experience at Robinson's! The food is great and not overpriced, and the on tap beer is a major plus. They have a huge selection of drinks as well in their coolers. Definitely "cruise through" if you're in the area!

Best burrito I’ve ever eaten. I’ve spent 25 years trying to achieve this level of ecstasy from eating food out of the house. Unrivaled prices, cheap beer, and dare I say it again… BEST BURRITO EVER!

The chicken tacos were the best. I also liked the shrimp and fish but the beef were seasoned too strong for me. Would go back for chicken again.

We moved here around 7 months ago and have been to the Cruse Thru at least a dozen times. Shrimp burritos are the best and all of the staff has been incredible every time. We'll keep coming back as often as possible! Keep up the good work!

Uptown Station is such a fun and convenient spot in Fort Walton Beach! There’s a great mix of shopping, dining, and services all in one place. The outdoor playground area is perfect for families, and there’s always something going on — from community events to seasonal activities. It’s clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate with plenty of parking. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, letting the kids play, or just running errands, Uptown Station has it all. Definitely a local favorite and a must-stop when you’re in the area!

This stripmall complex has something for everyone. The variety of stores and restaurants is great. My favorite store is Five Below and Pet Supermarket, but there are other great places, for example, like Ulta, Buffalo Wild Wings, Massage Envy, Winn-Dixie — just to mention a few!

Other than the bathroom out at the playground being locked making it a mad dash all the way across parking lot all the way to back of Winn Dixie to nearest potty when my 4 year old grandson said he needed to go quick lol

Went to Think Poke for dinner and OMG it was amazing..I had the spicy tuna bowl and the ribs literally melted in my mouth it was incredible. Will definitely return and highly recommend if you like sushi and if not they do have chicken and beef rice bowls too... Amazing food 💖😍💖

Nice little park with a walking trail and disc golf. It's kind of nestled in the middle of a neighborhood but has plenty parking spots, fitness stations looked cool, and bathrooms. Playground equipment is new and has a few things that are different like a zip line swing

I wish we had had more time to explore this park, because the little bit we saw seemed awesome!! It looks like there is something for everyone. Wide open soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking paths, a creek with turtles and other animals, a very unique playground, disc golf, etc! There were paintings on the walking paths that encouraged play (jumping on the dots, etc). Just overall a beautiful, well planned out park. We will be back!

Ferry Park is a beautiful park. I spend time there to watch my grandchildren in their sporting events, but as you can see in the photo, I also love to watch nature and you see that there as well!!

Love this park, I take my dog there a few times per week to walk and be in the open air. The Bud Day Memorial walk is always good, some cool history markers up telling about his story and his wife's. Oh and there's so much to do, basketball, fitness area, soccer, tennis, pickleball and my favorite, disc golf. I have lost so many discs to this course and it's totally worth it. Bathrooms are always clean, especially for park bathrooms.

This is a wonderful, beautiful park with multiple well maintained recreation facilities. The walking/ jogging sidewalk is a mile long with many cut-through paths and some bridges. Very family friendly, senior friendly, athlete friendly, and visitor friendly. I even used my bird apps on my walk, when I came to the more wooded part. Loved it!

This is a great park for all ages. It has refurbished restrooms, water fountains, a soccer field, tennis and pickleball courts, a disc golf course, a fitness court, and a walking trail. Personally, I like to ride my bike there, however I see people of all ages enjoying the park all the time.

Nice Park. We came there to play Disc Golf and enjoyed it. Several tee pads and basket placements. Well marked .. Course was really wet but hey that's mother nature but its soggy in places.

Me and my friend, Kaylee, did a Dolphin Tour with Derek as our tour guide. When I tell you this was probably one of the most fun things I’ve done in my life, I really mean it. Derek is what you would call a dolphin whisperer. He is one with the porpoises. But he also know how to keep you safe in the waterways. He was very knowledgeable about the rules and regulations but also knew how to cut loose, have fun, and go fast. 10/10 would recommend and definitely coming back with a bigger group next time!! 🩵☀️🌊🐬

We rented this boat for a family trip to crab Island. Good clean boat ran well. Service was great. Returned with no issues rented it for eight hours. The whole family had a great time and a little too much sun. No fault to the boat. If we have the opportunity in the future will rent from them again.

Captain Sean was amazing! My family and I booked a 6:30 sunset cruise and had a great time. The boat was not overloaded, Sean and Hagen took great care of us. When we got to the dolphin hit spot there were several other boats out that just looked crowed so we were glad ours was thinned out. We saw so many dolphins and Sean got us as close as possible. There was a storm rolling in behind us and he assured us our safety and on our way back we saw another group of dolphins and he made time to stop so we could take pictures of them since we had to leave a little earlier due to the storm. We had a beautiful sunset driving in. I would highly recommend to anyone.

The staff were very friendly and upbeat. Kingston Merrill is a natural and seems to be in his element with customer services. The crew and everyone I met were all great. Well worth the money. It was fun.

My Family and I were in Destin for my husband’s 50th birthday. I booked this jet ski excursion because my family is very adventurous. When I tell you 5 stars I mean it. Staff was very informative and very knowledgeable about the process. We had a wonderful time and left a tip!!!

Great experience for the entire family! Spencer was friendly and helpful. The pontoon boat was in decent condition (which is to be expected since we arrived an hour after our departure time) 😂 so we got the last available boat. We went to Crab Island and the Jetties to make great memories.

We rented a jet ski for 8 hours on the 4th of July. It was an easy pick-up and drop-off. Be prepared if you rent one for 8 hours you'll have to put gas back in it. We knew that from the beginning so it was no big deal. They cost about 75.00 to fill up. Everyone had a great time, the next day. We found muscles we didn't know we had after riding that thing all day.

Very friendly and amazing staff! They work very well with newcomers and people wanting to get back into the sport.

We enjoyed ourselves! I did a birthday party for my 12 year old. Great customer service and very accommodating! Needless to say, We will be going back again!!!

Came here for the first time and had a great experience. Our group was full of new players and our referee Steve was absolutely amazing:) He was very patient with all of us and gave us good advice. It was also interesting watching the more professional players play and being told what was going on. They have several courses, all of them cooler than the next (I recommend the bus one!😃) Thank y’all for the great experience!💜

Best time ever!! We had ages 10 to 17 using the .50 caliber makers and no complaints!! We were able to play on all three fields and our referee was the best. He kept it fun while teaching the kids some techniques throughout the day. The employees not only ensured we were having fun but also ensured the kids took many breaks and stayed hydrated. We were able to bring our cooler which was a plus with as many people we had. This was the first time EVER that we did not have a single kid complain about it being hot, boring or hungry!! They loved every minute of it and since hasn’t stopped watching pro games!! And the pro teams that were there practicing were super awesome too!!

Great fun with friends and military friendly. They will often offer group rates for big parties. Honestly I was really impressed they have a good safety brief and you can tell their staff really care. They also provide all of the needed paint and equipment. They as well use good quality paint that doesn't hurt as bad so but don't get me wrong you'll still get a couple bumps and bruises.

Bathrooms are at the end of the shopping area. There are outdoor showers to rinse off as well. The kids enjoyed playing in the waves and digging in the sand. It's close to shopping and restaurants. We visited after going to the Gulfarium for the morning. I liked that it wasn't overly crowded and we had plenty of space.

I like to come to this area for quick trips to the beach. I do t usually swim at this location but it's nice still. Live nearby but I tend to stay away during summer and spring break. This is a busy area for tourists during this time. I go to my hidden beach spots for swimming instead. :)

Good for family fun. Beautiful location. Food was okay and a little pricey but that's what you expect for the location. I love the free fireworks show night and the live music!

The beach is nice, but the water had some seaweed.

I grew up here and spent a great deal of time visiting this beach with family and friends.as a local. I never much cared for the busy tourist days but they do have a massive parking lot. Now I've lived and am excited to bring my daughter back to one of my favorite spots. We've grabbed I've cream from the ships and enjoyed the on site restaurants like the crab trap.

Wayside Park is nice. The sand is pure white. The parking lot is big and clean. The water is fairly clear. It's a great place for a beach day with kids!

Mike, the bartender is a master! From crafted martinis and smoked old fashioneds he can do it all! Super humble local spot with great drinks and vibes! Settle in and strike up a conversation!

This place is a real bar with live music all the time. Super friendly crowd, easy going vibe- everything you want! Also owned by a Bama fan- REAUXL TIDE!!!

Great bar with bands playing. Great sound system and friendly staff. Parking is challenging. I don't know if they have food or not. I didn't see a menu or anyone eating.

4/15/2023 first time coming here and the atmosphere outside was beautiful. During this weekend there was an event going on for the military families. Military appreciation. So many booths and bounce houses. Food from a local BBQ restaurant. A playground with outside bathroom facilities. Overall, fun event and great atmosphere

The park is beautiful - large, plenty of shade, great waterfront views. Honestly, the actual farmer's market wasn't additive. There were 15-20 "vendors", a third of which were local companies with booths for things like solar panel installation, window replacement, etc. There were also lots of trinkets/crafts. I bought a small bag of beef jerky for $20 and then left. It was tasty though. If you want to buy some local jerky, kettle corn, honey, or banana bread, then it might be worth a quick stop to check out those booths. If you've ever been to any other farmer's market, small or large, you'll likely be disappointed here.
