The Wharf is a vibrant waterfront area in Orange Beach, featuring a variety of attractions for visitors to enjoy. From shops and restaurants to a marina and amphitheater, there's something for everyone. The Nature Center at the RV Campground offers an educational experience about the local environment and wildlife, including baby alligators, turtles, and snakes. Additionally, plans are underway for The Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism & Sustainability to provide environmental education programs.
Super beautiful venue outdoor not crowded there's not a bad seat in the place has a small little area that has food trucks definitely definitely definitely recommend. Also the little area when you're done with your concert it can go see shops Ferris wheel always love my experience at the wharf

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Family Fun at The Wharf! The Wharf is a must-visit when you’re in Gulf Shores! It’s incredibly family-friendly with a great mix of shops, restaurants, and activities that appeal to all ages. We loved the clean, well-maintained facilities and beautiful surroundings. Whether you’re riding the Ferris wheel, enjoying a meal, or just strolling around, there’s something for everyone. A perfect spot to relax, explore, and make fun family memories!

A great place to spend an afternoon shopping, dining or hanging out with friends. It's one of the tourist spots that was highly recommended to visit. I'm not sure we got around to all the shops. There are so many of them. The highlights for us were making our own fragrances at High Cotton and a sweet treat from Kilwins. The Wharf is animal friendly (apparently) because a tall, well-mannered dog kept coming in and out of the shop we were in. It was cute at first, but he probably came in and out 15 times, standing around, waiting for snacks! It was a bit much.

Lots of fun stores, treats, restaurants, boats, and an outdoor bar. Kid friendly. Street parking as well as a deck. Well lit at night. Had dinner at Ginny Lane and it was fantastic. The Warf has something for everyone.

Gulf State Park is a tranquil and diverse natural area offering a range of activities for nature enthusiasts. With 28 miles of trails winding through various ecosystems, visitors can explore marshes, forests, lakes, and the coastline. The park features 32 miles of white sand beaches with amenities such as picnic pavilions and volleyball nets at Gulf Place. Additionally, there are opportunities for pier fishing and water activities like swimming and surfing.
Beautiful park with tons to do over 20 miles of trails. Rented e-bikes for 4 hrs it was so fun! The views and well maintained trails were nice. The nature center had many coastal reptiles and very informative. Also the beach access is very clean with bathrooms, pavilion and life guards on duty. The parking is $10

Spectacular resort state park. Many ways to stay… RV, tent, lodge (run by Hilton), cabins. Beautiful clean beach, large pool at the campground, play area for the kids and miles of hiking and bike trails. Restrooms and bath houses are super clean and modern.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our day at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama was absolutely amazing and easily one of the highlights of our trip. We decided to rent e-bikes from a local company called Paradise Pedal LLC, and that turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. The owner was so kind and helpful from start to finish. He went above and beyond to make sure our family had everything we needed for a perfect ride. We have a three-year-old and a seven-year-old, and he set us up with two great little carriages for the kids so they could ride along safely and comfortably. He even made us a great deal and personally delivered the bikes to us so we could start our adventure right at the park. The bikes themselves were in perfect condition and such a joy to ride. The electric assist made it easy to cruise along the trails and enjoy all the beautiful scenery without getting tired. The trails through Gulf State Park are stunning. There are lakes, boardwalks, and so many peaceful paths that make you feel surrounded by nature. We passed through shaded areas, open stretches by the water, and even spotted some wildlife along the way. It was so relaxing and fun to explore everything at our own pace. The kids had an absolute blast riding in the carriages, laughing and pointing out things along the way. It was such a great family experience that everyone enjoyed. The park itself is very clean, well maintained, and easy to navigate. There are rest stops, picnic areas, and lots of places to take a break and enjoy the view. I cannot recommend Gulf State Park enough, especially if you pair your visit with an e-bike rental from Paradise Pedal LLC. The combination of beautiful scenery, smooth trails, and such kind service made for a perfect day. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Gulf Shores. It is a must-do for families or anyone who loves being outdoors and exploring in a fun and relaxing way.

Excellent location! Close to aqua green beaches and fantastic restaurants, shopping, and a short drive to awesome Fort Morgan, Fairhope and Foley. Beautiful trails crisscross through and around the park. Gorgeous freshwater lake for fishing, swimming or boating. Clean, spacious, well cared for RV sites with shade trees and grass. Huge gorgeous pool. The showers are okay. Better than some I've seen. Laundry room has several machines. This is a safe, gated part, with friendly and accommodating staff.

Very relaxing place where you can sit by the water for hours or go for a walk or ride a bike or...whatever you want to do. There's so much to do in nature in God's creation. It's just peaceful place that every time I'm in the area I will go. My husband and I enjoy it so much.

We finally made it to Gulf State Park for our anniversary trip! It's a place we've wanted to visit for years, especially since getting our e-bikes. After a few tries of finding a spot, we were so excited to book our stay. 😁 On our anniversary, we drove the scenic coast in our Jeep, stopping along the way to enjoy appetizers from Gulf Shores to Destin and back. We ended the night watching the sunset at the beach. It was a perfect way to celebrate. 🥂💖 In the remaining two days, we biked over 85 miles, exploring all the park's trails and even riding the Fort Morgan Road trail outside the park. 🚲 I can confidently say this is the best state park we've ever camped at—they truly have thought of everything. We're already planning our next trip and can't recommend it enough! 🏕️ #lanclosadventures

Beautiful park with tons of amenities, and it's right across the street from a beautiful beach! The camper sites are generous and plenty... this place is huge! They have full hookups, a swimming pool and splash pad, electric bike rentals, ice machines, and the nicest staff... what more could you want? This is probably one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever been to if you include all the amenities and the beach across the street... I'll definitely be back!

Only saw the huge pier but it was beautiful. Seasonal restaurant and bar on site, great owners! Fish from the pier or just site see. Bait cutting tables available along the pier as well as a fish cleaning station with a grinder to discard the trash.

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, originally a private refuge called Zooland Animal Park, opened to the public in 1989. After enduring several hurricanes, including Hurricane Ivan in 2004, the zoo gained national attention for its resilience and reconstruction efforts. Today, it is home to over 500 native and exotic animals such as leopards, tigers, monkeys, lions, and macaws.
Small zoo that does not disappoint! Lots of really cool animals. Big Cats, alligators, lemurs, monkeys, giraffes, and much more It was very hot the day we visited but the experience was made better by misting sections and well air conditioned buildings for cooling off. The barn animals were cute and although the mining section wasn’t working that day; we were able to buy a bag and sorted through our gems at home. Which my kids liked doing it this way more than when we have done them at other zoos before! We got the big bag, and there is SO MUCH included in it! We ended it with my 15 year old taking a ride on the zip line ride thing. It was $15 and he said it was really cool at the top to be able to see the entire zoo and town too. The gift shop seemed pretty reasonable priced to other gift shops. they had some really funny shirts and lots of items to choose from. I would recommend them getting a better variety of magnets but other than that, 10 out of 10!

This is a nice zoo, but it is small. We walked it in less than an hour. It is also laid out very confusing. It has paths to walk that do not go straight to the exhibits. I enjoyed the animals they had. They seemed to have good habitats and exhibits. They had other rides that were nice, like a merry go round and a zip line ride. We had fun and would probably come back.
Thomas I — Google review
Absolutely amazing, just as I had hoped it would be. It was 91 out we went 9/21/25 and most animals were nowhere to be found. Then I decided to go backwards and see if anything came out. I'm glad I did we saw both lions, both porcupine and even Benjamin was walking towards us. Such a great little zoo. I used to watch the show Little Zoo that could I believe. Just amazing great work yall! And Miss Patti (caretaker who was director during the show and hurricanes) Thank you for saving these animals.
Ashley — Google review
Fun day at this zoo. Arrived early and got to see morning feedings. I especially loved the giraffes and lions. Gift shop employees were very friendly and welcoming. There is plenty of parking as well .
Beach G — Google review
There weren’t any clear signs directing visitors to the different buildings, like the reptile house or bird area, which made it a bit confusing to know where to go. Some of the exhibits were also under construction. We did visit on a colder day, so several of the animals weren’t out, but overall it was still a fun experience! Two of the seniors in our group rented scooters — they were $20 each, very fast, and had great brakes, which made it easier for them to get around comfortably. We also did the Sloth Encounter — while we didn’t get to pet the sloth, we really enjoyed meeting Archie the armadillo! He was absolutely hilarious and ended up being my favorite animal there.
Tasha C — Google review
This is a wonderful zoo! Somewhat smaller than some of the zoos in larger metropolitan areas, this quiet zoo was a perfect place to take our young kiddos for a more intimate and leisurely experience with the animals! The staff was also super friendly, and there were plenty of restrooms and places to hydrate scattered throughout the zoo. In addition to being stroller friendly, there were mist hoses (a wonderful way to provide visitors a break from the heat), playgrounds, and benches at all the major exhibits. We can’t wait to return!
Sarah P — Google review
Wonderful, if relatively small, zoo. I grew up visiting it in its previous Gulf Shores location; this is a massive improvement! We visited with a 2.5 year old, a 1 year old, and an 8 month old. We went right at open, and I would definitely recommend doing that, both for heat and smaller crowds. The keepers were very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed speaking with several of them. There are several extra activities for younger kids: a carousel, animal feeding, a small train, "mining," and safari carts. For older kids or adults, there are several animal encounters that require reservations, so plan ahead for any extras you want to do.
Callie O — Google review
It was very expensive, for a regular, nothing special zoo. We paid $25/ each person extra, just to see a couple sloths not really do anything, and you can see them from outside their living area for free. If I'd known this we wouldn't have paid extra. The animals looked hot and miserable, and most are hiding to try and stay cool.

The Hangout Gulf Shores is a vibrant beach spot famous for its oyster cook-off, live music, and lively atmosphere. Situated in the Alabama Gulf Coast, it attracts visitors from all over the United States who come to enjoy the stunning beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The venue hosts an annual music festival but also offers year-round entertainment with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and family-friendly activities such as games and live music.
I had such a great experience at The Hangout on the Beach in Gulf Shores! Our waiter, TJ, was absolutely amazing—friendly, kind, funny, and very informative. His menu suggestions were spot on, and he made the whole experience even better. I truly wish him and his fiancée nothing but the best in their future endeavors. The overall vibe of the restaurant was awesome—fun, energetic, and welcoming. I loved seeing the staff and birthday guests dancing on the tables, which made the atmosphere feel like a celebration. They also have live music at night, which just adds to the fun beachy vibe. The food was fresh and delicious! We ordered the spinach dip, seafood boil, and salad, and everything was fantastic. One thing to note: parking is limited since it’s shared with the beach, so be prepared to walk a bit. But honestly, it was so worth it. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Gulf Shores, and I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area again!

Super cool atmosphere with the thousands of ducks, matchbox cars and pez dispensers! They’ve remodeled & enclosed the far wall adding multiple TVs for sports & a large bar with hand crafted beverages that include mocktails. The view of the Gulf and breeze is where it’s at! They even have foam that happens every hour for the kids. Lots of cool photo ops as well. Service from Courtney was great and the food was good though I did expect more flavor from the Bayou burger. Kids said the chicken tenders were “just right.” We’ll be back!
Balloon E — Google review
The food is very good. Had fried shrimp and wife had a burger. She had the pulled pork burger and it was tasty. The fried shrimp was excellent. The staff entertains to the point of getting guests to dance on tables. There is also live music on the outside stage. The view while eating we could see the beach and ocean. We had a lot of fun.

First time going to the Hangout to have dinner yesterday evening and it was phenomenal! Ricky made our experience absolutely fantastic! Extremely tentative and kept us laughing the whole time just making sure we had everything we needed as well a great time! 100/10 rating! Will certainly go back every year we come to Orange Beach. Our kids loved being here and it was such a great experience.

I went here on a date with my daughter, and we had such a great time! It also looks like a super fun place to go with a group, perfect spot to HANG OUT for hours! I loved the environment; it’s lively, fun, and everyone seems so happy (I would be too! 😂). Not to mention the beautiful view! The shrimp boil was delicious—personally, I would have loved it to be a bit spicier, but it was still amazing. The burger was juicy and full of flavor as well. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I visit Orange Beach!
Alejandra T — Google review
I had a late lunch around 2pm. The 12 grilled shrimp and fries were both excellent. A virgin Pina' Coloda that was also perfect. Hardly anyone was there Nov 20th on a Wednesday. Excellent views of the beach from the tables. See my short videos.
Nick B — Google review
We could have eaten here for every meal for four days. We loved the food, the vibe, our waiter Gabe was awesome. The wall decor inside and out was fun to look at, the wish wall, the statues, the foam outside, the ring and hook game, the shark drink - all of it made this place our top choice.
Dani W — Google review
Food 4/5 You get a lot in 1 meal is enough for 2 people. Service was great. Not sure if it because I was paying for 6 that they added the tip. In Louisiana it usually 8+ table. Maybe they just add tip to all bills not sure. Atmosphere was fun, but it does get really loud so maybe not great for a date to get know someone. We were there at 6pm on a Saturday, and they were singing dancing on tables it was great fun for the whole family. When they wasn't doing that there was someone playing outside they had lot of speakers inside playing them and it gets really loud. Could be that is was dinner time on a Saturday, not sure if they do that on weekday nights.

Waterville USA is a 20-acre water amusement park situated just a short distance from the Gulf of Mexico. Originally established as a family waterpark in 1986, it has since expanded to include various family-friendly attractions such as mini-golf, an escape house, and go-karting. The park features thrilling rides like the Triple Dog Dare and Jet Stream water slides, along with a mat racing course and wave pool.
Great family Waterpark if you are in this area you must visit this place I felt very safe we had our 8-year-old play in almost every water ride they are lifeguards everywhere there's nothing to worry about very peaceful it has a pool with waves very amazing and good very family-oriented in the food is not expensive and it was really really good must try the chicken tenders they were really really good in the french fries most common food but it is really good overall five stars 10 Stars I will visit this place all the time if I am around the town

Bought tickets online to save time but there wasn't a different line for advance tickets so I'm not sure if it's worth doing. For 30 to 40 and person, I think it's a reasonable price for a day at the water park. The wave pool wasn't too crowded. There are times when there are waves and times when the waves are off. Price for food wasn't horrible like other parks. 3 chicken strips with fries and a drink was 10.00 AND it tastes good. I'm used to parks closing later in the evening or even at night like 9 but this place closes at 6. No complaints from me😊
Meme H — Google review
Had a great day at the park with my family. Love having free sunscreen stations available. Food was good, and rides were fun with little to no wait even on a Saturday.

I took my family to Waterville on 7/16 and was really impressed with everything. We setup our place to sit next to the kids area so we could keep an eye on my youngest daughter as she played. All of the lifeguards did a great job, but a young guy named Brian was without a doubt the best. As the kids played, he was actively clapping for them, interacting with the kids, and just had an overall great attitude doing his job. As a small business owner, I appreciate it when I see employees going above and beyond. On a sidenote... The food pricing was very fair.

We had an awesome day. The park is clean, tons of slides, and VERY helpful employees. Food and drinks are great, and reasonably priced! Most know this park has been in the same location for over 40 years. I have not been in many years and was a bit hesitant to go wondering if it was still in good shape. What a pleasant surprise to find it was in PERFECT shape. We arrived at opening time (10am) and it was nice to avoid the crowd to get in. TIP: If you purchase your ticket online you still have to get an armband that is only available in the main ticket line. Once inside we raced to every slide to avoid the lines we expected later in the day. It turned out although the park was really crowed the lines for every slide were short, we never waited more than five minutes to ride any slide. We rode every slide including the "Speed Demon" that starts out straight down. There are slides that are daring down to baby slides and everything in between. The lazy river was a hit with our family, we spent time relaxing and watching all the action on the slides. The wave pool was also a lot of fun and of course the FlowRider was too much fun! I highly recommend Waterville and plan to return on our next beach trip. Hats off to ALL the lifeguards, gosh there are so many. Not only do they make it safe for all to enjoy each lifeguard had a great attitude and all smiles! Thank you Waterville for a fun filled day!
Alston K — Google review
Reasonable prices/ Good assortment of attractions. Cabanas are ok, the service was quick and they constantly checked on you which in turn made it a good deal. Rides were good for a good bit of the day. For what is worth, it's something good to do for one day of your vacation.
Jason T — Google review
Great affordable Waterpark. There are slides for all ages. The lazy river is soooo relaxing and we enjoyed the wave pool. The food is pretty decent but watch out for the seagulls, they will try to get at your food. If you pay with card, you must show ID. Parking is pretty good. We havent had more than a minute walk from parking spot to entrance when we visited on a weekday around 12pm several times. The lifeguards are attentive and helpful. We visit here at least once a summer and have always enjoyed our time.
Natasha B — Google review
Booked the Hurricane escape room for a group of seven. All of us are pretty experienced with escape rooms and have been on a hunt for a good place to play in the Gulf Shores area. The pros: Multiple rooms, nice set design, and some arcade games and seating to enjoy while you wait for your game to start. Areas for improvement: Puzzle design, customer service, and clues. Our experience could have been improved greatly had the staff been a bit more attentive. Also, stopping the timer at the end of the game would have added a lot of clarity on whether or not the game was complete! Overall: Worth a try, but go in with the understanding that the escape room is one of Waterville's many attractions, and not their specialty.

Lulu's Gulf Shores is a lively restaurant known for its vibrant atmosphere, offering a mix of hearty burgers, seafood dishes, and sandwiches alongside cocktails, beer, and wine. The eatery boasts a fun and funky setting with sandy dining areas among palm trees and live music. It features authentic coastal recipes by Lucy Buffett and offers gluten-free options.
We had an all around wonderful experience! Our server Billy was great and quick with good recommendations. I loved the atmosphere with the live music and we were able to be right by the water. We all enjoyed our food. The shrimp and grits and shrimp salad were so good! My kids got the crab melt and fried 1/2 & 1/2 both enjoyed it and were stuffed. The picture is of the Shrimp Salad and Peach Sunset drink. We got lucky on timing. No wait at all shortly before noon but left around 1 and there was a line.

We loved Lulu’s so much that we went back a 2nd time while on vacation in Gulf Shores!! The atmosphere is amazing not only for adults but also for kids and family! So far the best shrimp & grits I've had in the area. William was an excellent server. Loved the tribute to Lucy's late big brother. Parrotheads need to always flock here at this one particular harbor.

I guess everyone should go once... Appetizer was cold, fries were cold, but overall pretty good. Ordered a mixed drink, but dude gave me a virgin one and charged me for the real thing. When i called him out on it, he was over-the-top shocked making it obvious (to me) he does it all the time. I immediately regretted giving him a large tip. Boo.

The food is overrated and overpriced! My onion rings were cold. The crab melt lacked crab meat! The smoked tuna dip isn't smoked but it was edible. Let me warn you that it is served with saltine crackers and not the usual tortilla chips. However, the waiter was really nice and the atmosphere was beautiful. Just don't go for the food.

I rarely give five stars because no one is perfect but this was a pretty good meal. Especially for a chain restaurant. Great environment for the entire family with lots of different things to do. It's got an arcade it has a stage with sand play area if you rides and outside bar a tourist shop and the The restaurant is seating outside. There is also a marina for small and large boats. You can drive up to the restaurant in your car or motor up to the restaurant in your boat. Onion rings are the best onions I've had in my life. Well worth the stop! 🫶🏼

Adventure Island is an amusement park located in Orange Beach, offering a variety of attractions such as go-karts, bumper boats, laser tag, and kiddie rides. The park features a replica of an erupting volcano that adds to the excitement. It's a popular destination for families and groups looking for thrilling activities in the area. Additionally, Gulf Shores offers a wide range of entertainment options including museums, gardens, golf courses, and annual events like fishing tournaments and air shows.
Our family had a fantastic time at Adventure Island! The putt-putt course was incredibly well-maintained and provided just the right level of challenge to keep everyone engaged. Each hole was unique and fun, making it a great experience for all ages. We also loved the indoor arcade, which had a huge variety of games to choose from. Whether you enjoy classic arcade games or newer ones, there was something for everyone. Another highlight was the indoor blacklight mini golf—such a cool and unique experience! The glowing course added an extra layer of fun and excitement. Although we didn’t try the go-karts, it was great to see them there as another fun option for visitors. Adventure Island has something for everyone, and we will definitely be back for more family fun! Highly recommend!

We had a great time here!! The games were fun and priced decently for an arcade. My kiddo wanted to ride the teacups and small go carts, I didn't see an attendant so went to the front counter and asked if someone could help us..and someone came out and was super friendly. We will definitely comeback if we have time.
Ashley H — Google review
My experience at Adventure Island was ok. I was impressed with the variety of games and pleased to see my all-time favorite game, Pink Panther. My husband, daughter, and I paid to play Glow in the dark put put golf. We played 2 holes, and suddenly, a group of about 18 unsupervised children just started hacking balls all over the place. We were unable to finish our game because I don't think they grasped the concept of waiting until the people ahead were finished with their hole before they were supposed to proceed.. Thankfully, the workers understood and refunded our money onto a game card. We were really looking forward to riding the bumper boats, but there were no attendants working that area to allow that to happen. We did visit on Memorial Day, and maybe that just wasn't the ideal time.

Our family had a great time. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was plenty to do in the arcade room with our kids, ages 6 and 4. Our highlight was riding the go carts. The kids weren't tall enough but they had just as much fun with us driving. The indoor putt putt was fun too. It was a great way to break up the beach days. We will be going back on our next trip!
Ginny W — Google review
We went for the putt putt only and it was a super fun course! Going at night was what I planned and I highly recommend this time of day/ night. $15 each, A bit pricey but hey, it's the beach right?

Had a great time with the family at the arcade. Set three high scores so I think it’s pretty to win tickets. Unfortunately there’s no way to divide up points with multiple cards. You just have to purchase individually. 😕. But that was ok. $30 per kid went a pretty long way. Would return. They also have a concession stand with all the basic treats!

Went there the other day with my wife and son, we had a great time, the game room is pretty good and the Glow golf ⛳ was great for the size building that it's in, make sure you check them out, also check us out at @The Real Eternal Escapades on YouTube😎👍🏻💯🛸🎡🎰⛳

The course is ok. The greens are fairly clean. But none of the water features work. Its just all stationary gross looking water filled with trash. Seems like maintenance has been deferred at this location. Place looks run down even though its 15$ a person to golf The benches could all use some repair and paint. One had nails sticking up.

The beach is clean. The sand is so very soft and fluffy 🤩 The water is beautiful. We all had a great time. I definitely suggest lots of sunscreen!! There was like 3 jellyfish 🪼 in the water. You also might have to watch out for some of the rude people fishing from the beach 2 feet in front of you and your children. 🤦‍♀️

This beach is dog-friendly and we had a blast. White sand beaches similar to Pensacola, without the massive crowds. We've been down to Gulf Shores six times and each time had a blast. There is plenty of parking. Beach chairs are available to rent if you want, and there are public foot shower stations to wash that sand off so you don't take it with you.

Located just 3 miles north of the stunning Gulf Shores beaches on Highway 59, The Track is an outdoor amusement park that offers a wide range of activities for the whole family. From go-kart tracks and bumper boats to roller coasters and arcade games, there's something for everyone. Thrill-seekers can enjoy attractions like The Wild Woody, a three-story wooden track, The Skyflyer, and bungee jumping, while younger visitors can explore Kids Kountry.
We had a fun time at The Track. We have three young kids 5 and under. We got the 125 ticket pass and spent about 2 hours exploring the park and riding on rides. The adults enjoyed the many race tracks and the kids liked the merry go rounds, swings, and boats. The card system makes it very easy to go from ride to ride. There are height requirements clearly posted, so you can easily see who's eligible. We agreed that the rides are well worth the price and you get a long time on each ride. This is a great option for a few hours of fun for a variety of ages!
Sherlyn S — Google review
We had fun riding. I give 4 stars only because they really should think about putting some padding in those seat cause it's a rough and hard ride lol but otherwise good times. They had beautiful colored fish in their pond you can get some food out of the machines to feed them.
Tamara H — Google review
So much fun but so expensive also. I’m adding photos of the cost/point menu as I didn’t see any others here. We came with a two family group. Kids ages 4,5,7,11 and 4 adults. We bought tickets/cards at the kiosks. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of snack and drink vending options in the arcade. I’d prefer to see a few more “game” games rather than just ticket games.
Kari H — Google review
We had the best time! The lines moved super fast and everyone was friendly. Everything was close together so we didn't have to do excessive walking which was a plus. Easy to find as well
Tonya S — Google review
Only came for the arcade. My FIL wanted to play pinball but they don’t have those kinds of games here. They are all games that you win tickets. My daughter had a good time and that is all that matters!
Rae J — Google review
Expensive. But what isnt these days. Lots of different tracks for all ages and other things to do. Lines weren’t super long when we were there, so that was nice. Some of the go karts were pretty slow compared to others so my 13 and 15 yo boys weren’t super excited about that.
Amy S — Google review
This about the Minigolf: What a shame - the pools and waterfall look like haven't been cleaned in years. Poor fishes that have to live in that filthy water. It's cruelty on the animal! I would never go back and support this!
Beach F — Google review
The Track is a fun way to have family time. The website does a great job listing their attractions and the cost per ride, which is appreciated when planning to visit with the kids. You know what they can do before you arrive! They get super busy in summer after sunset, so earlier in the day is my recommended for when to visit. Although putt putt isn’t very shady so if that’s your jam I’d go after dark. The arcade is basically just the ticket winning machines, like the ones where you use a claw to get the ticket rings, the style that you push coins off the collect cards for points…etc. so if you are wanting GAMES, you will be disappointed. Also, the cost to play games is higher than most arcades we visit. I’d skip it and just do the outdoor activities. There is no food. They have vending machines with drinks and junk food, but that’s it. Do not come hungry! They DO have go kart for everyone! While the site lists this, here’s a summary for reference. • Kiddie Karts – Perfect for little ones! Drivers must be between 3′6″ and 4′0″ tall. Kids drive their own karts here. • Rookie Track – For slightly bigger kids ready to go solo. Must be at least 4′0″ tall to drive. • Family Track – Great for riding together! • Drive solo if you’re 4′6″ or taller. • Ride as a passenger if you’re between 3′0″ and 4′5″ (free ride in a double kart with a licensed driver age 16+). • Wild Woody (multi-level) – One of the most fun! • Drive solo if you’re 4′8″ or taller. • Ride as a passenger if you’re between 3′0″ and 4′7″ (free with licensed driver age 16+). • Super Track – More thrills for bigger kids and adults. • Must be at least 4′8″ tall to drive. • Slick Track – Tight turns and fast action! • Must be at least 5′0″ tall to drive. No passengers here.

The Yard Milkshake Bar is a gourmet treat shop known for its numerous flavors of hand-dipped ice cream and abundant toppings in jars. Located in various cities, the original spot is in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The shop gained fame after being featured on Shark Tank and offers mammoth-sized milkshakes that are as visually impressive as they are delicious.
Wonderful sweet treat option for the whole family!! Tale in some shopping, a little mini putt action and wrap it up with one of the many tasty ice cream treats at The Yard Milkshake Bar!! Don't let your eyes overload your tummy!!
Michelle K — Google review
The ice cream and cookie dough here were truly delicious—rich in flavor and clearly made with quality ingredients. That said, the prices are quite high, which may make it difficult to justify a return visit, especially with so many other ice cream options available. The shop was very busy during our visit, which speaks to its popularity, but I was impressed by how quickly our order was prepared and served. Overall, it was a fun place to try, but I’d likely explore other spots before coming back.
David H — Google review
A glorified ice cream bar that is so expensive but is a nice one time experience. The ice cream itself is good and the concoctions are cool. You get to keep the glasses the milkshakes come in. There was only 1 person working but she cranked out 6 premium cups and 1 milkshake crazy fast.
Rae J — Google review
Everything on the menu looks delicious 😋. If you are in town this a great place to get a cold treat. The varieties of toppings and ice cream is overwhelming at times because you want to try them all! This is going to be one of my favorite spots for my family.

Kiana our “milkshake maker” was so kind & gave some great recommendations when there are so many options to choose from. The portions are definitely enough for 2 so don’t think you should force yourself to have your own! My wife wasn’t the only one who got the oatmeal cream pie… it was great!

Such a cute ice cream shop and so much to offer!! Ice cream was absolutely delish and great service! We absolutely loved it and would definitely go back!!

The Yard is a fun place! Souvenir glass jar is $20, in a paper cup is $14. They also have edible cookie dough, and ice cream! 3 scoops of cookie dough is $4!
Taylor 3 — Google review
One of the more disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had. I have heard of the Yard for many years & had high expectations, I feel like they have set the new trend for oversized fancy milkshakes, I even watched them on shark tank. But it was a terrible experience for the following reasons. - 1 milkshake & 2 small scoops of ice cream for $30 is ridiculous - they were out of the 2/3 of the ice cream we ordered and had to change our order - they wanted everything to come out at the same time but the scoops would be sitting on the counter melting while waiting on rest of food -ice cream is nothing special it’s just Blue Bell, go to wallmart and buy it yourself and save yourself a mortgage payment - the vanilla milkshake I got (because they where out of birthday cake, which is the 1st milkshake on the menu) was terrible and melted and a waste of calories - place was over-crowded, others were leaving disappointed

The Gulf Shores Museum, located in a historic early 20th century house, offers visitors a glimpse into the local history through its permanent and rotating temporary exhibits. The museum showcases the civic and social history of the region, featuring exhibits such as 'Portrait of a Fishing Village' which delves into the 19th-century history of Lagoon Village, and 'Drawing a Line in the Sand' commemorating the city's 50th anniversary.
I live in Foley, a short distance from Gulf Shores, and never knew this little museum existed. I was looking on Google for things for couples to do in Gulf Shores and found this place. It was very well kept, and I found everything very informative. There's info about the first families of the Gulf Shores area, which I found very interesting. There's also lots of info on the hurricanes our area has had over the years. The admission is free, which is a fantastic plus.

This cute little museum was a great find. The kids thought it was interesting. There is a small butterfly garden in the back yard- and it was beautful and a fun place to explore. There is a decent amount of Gulf Shores history within the museum - lots of reading. The woman working when we were there wasn't terribly friendly. This is a free and cool place to escape the heat and learn a little about the area.

Great place for a variety of beer. We sat inside to watch some of the college basketball games. Last time we sat out on the patio and listened to some live music. The Area 251 hazy IPA was great. The grapefruit radler was ok. The place is spacious with lots of seating inside and out. Check them out!

As a person that has visited many breweries, Big Beach Brewing hit all marks. Fun atmosphere, quick and friendly staff and great beer. They have a wide selection of easy drinking beers to fun and creative beers with full flavor. I left with a six pack to take home. I would highly recommend if you are in the Gulf Shores area to stop in and check out some of their artisanal craft beers.

Great brewery with wonderful bartenders! The beers were excellent! I didn't try the sours so I can't speak to those but all the others were good or great! Plus boiled peanuts! I'd never had them before so this was a new and very welcome experience. I had to post a picture of the taps because they are individually crafted glass. I would have posted a photo of the wonderful bartenders but I didn't ask their permission to post their images.

This is a must stop if you are into craft beers. We tried four different beers, and they were all delicious. The bartender was very nice, and he had a lot of knowledge of their products. The atmosphere was great. We sat outside on the upper deck and then moved downstairs. The weather was perfect, and the boys found a new friend to play cars with. Very kid friendly, several families were hanging out.

Great brewery and friendly staff! They had 10 beers on tap as well as a couple of wine options. There is quite a bit if indoor seating and there's a lot of outdoor seating. You can do four sample flights there as well if you just want to try some stuff. They have cans available for purchase as well to take home. Highly recommend!
Tony G — Google review
This was a fun spot for a meetup other than the live music was super loud. Like "Shouting in each other's faces loud." Thankfully, we were able to find a table around the side where the volume was not quite as bad. I met up with Barrett O. here and his lovely wife. We spent an about two hours and a few beers enjoying each other's company. The beers here are great. My "Catmans Kolsch" was delicious but that could have been because I was having fun telling stories. The parking situation here is a challenge with a lot that is too small by a third but the street parking was decent as long as you're not blocking a driveway and being respectful. Fun family vibe and a few folks who had brought their well-behaved dogs made it complete.
Bruce I — Google review
We stopped in for a mid-day beer on a Thursday and it was the perfect way to relax and regroup. The brewery has a great atmosphere but what we loved was the cozy and inviting outdoor space they have. There wasn’t a live musician while we were there but a small stage outside looked to be getting loaded in for some tunes later. The beer was delicious and hit the spot! There are many options and between the four of us, we had three different beers. All in which we loved. Highly recommended!

Wide variety of beers available! We purchased 2 flights because there were so many flavors we wanted to try. We ended up liking most of them-even the sours which we don't usually prefer. Sunny Lady Dolphin Cruises at The Wharf in Gulf Shores offers a range of family-friendly dolphin cruises, lasting from 1 to 2 hours. Advanced booking is usually required as these popular tours tend to sell out, especially during the summer months. Guests have praised the knowledgeable and fun crew, with Captain Lucy being particularly highlighted for making the experience memorable. Passengers enjoyed interacting with dolphins and feeding seagulls while cruising along.
All I can say is wow! This experience was incredible for all ages. I would recommend this for everyone in the gulf coast to try. Captain Jeremy and crew done an amazing job putting us on several pods of dolphins. Several sunset picture opportunities, and laughs all around. You truly get the "bang" for your buck. My Husband, kids and I were absolutely thrilled from start to finish. 10/10 highly recommend. 👌

This was a wonderful experience for all ages! We loved seeing so many dolphins playfully following the boat and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. The entire family, from the kids to the adults, had an amazing time. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip fun and engaging. This was definitely a highlight of our vacation, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable evening on the water. Thank you to the crew for creating good memories for travelers.
Liliana R — Google review
We had a blast on the Sunny Lady! Rusty, Kinsley, and Jasmine were the best crew. They kept us laughing and having fun. I thought it was super sweet Rusty remembered all the kids names and kept checking to see if they knew which side to look on. We saw dolphins almost the whole time. They played in our wake and hung out with us. And feeding the gulls was hilarious and exciting. My kids loved getting a Cheeto and then the birds immediately grabbing it. The cruise was about 1.5 hours and we were engaged the whole time. Getting to take pictures in the Captain’s chair and having the crew take family photos was a very sweet touch. All the wildlife facts were fun and I laughed so much at Rusty’s jokes.
Kat B — Google review
We visit Gulf Shores and Orange Beach often. The beaches and surrounding area are beautiful and much less crowded than Florida, not to mention most everything is generally cheaper, as well. If seeing dolphins is on your list of things to do while at the beach, Sunny Lady Dolphin Cruises should be your first choice in Orange Beach. You can check their website for cost and information, however, during our last trip in October 2025, it averaged about $27 per person. The cruise itself lasts about 90 minutes. You'll find them located at the Wharf along with lots of other great shopping, restaurants, and bars. The boat is a double decker and offers light snacks and drinks. Our crew, Kensley, JJ, and Captain Nate were absolutely wonderful and ensured everyone on board had great memories. We spotted a pod of dolphins after just a few minutes into the cruise. Captain Nate slowed the boat and made sure everyone had an opportunity to see the dolphins and take pictures. Overall, one of the best dolphin cruises we'd experienced. This was largely in part of the crew. Thank you Kensley, JJ, and Captain Nate for making our trip memorable.
Steve ( — Google review
The tour was very nice. I came with a party of 3, and there was plenty of seating available on the top deck. The tour time slot after us was much more packed, however. We were able to see dolphins multiple times in the 2hr boat ride. It was a nice time to spend time with family, while also being entertained and engaged by the staff from time to time. Would recommend for families that want a chill time spent together while also sightseeing on the water and taking part in some other cool activities.

We had a pre-wedding dinner with our wedding guest here. I wanted to make a reservation but because of the summer crowd reservations were not accepted. We were able to get seated after a bit of a wait. The parking was difficult. Our server was nice and I think she was able to get the orders right. My hubby and I visited a few months before this visit in July. Our waiter, Stephen was extremely friendly. We were hoping to see him again but he told us he doesn't work the evening shift. The food was really good and the portion sizes allowed for leftovers.

We have been here several times and it never fails to be a great experience. There is usually a wait, but they give you a buzzer and you can grab a drink and go do some shopping while you wait. I had raw oysters for an appetizer and the soft shell crab for my meal with baked potato and salad bar for sides. The others at the table got the shrimp bake, stuffed flounder and crab stuffed grouper. It was all cooked perfectly and delicious. Our server was Mr. Rogers, and he made our experience even more enjoyable with his excellent service and fun conversation. Highly recommend!

Original Oyster House Boardwalk is a fun and delicious experience for all ages! My family and I have eaten here my whole life, and I love it every time. They have quite the extensive menu. Some of my favorite foods here include the fried oysters, fried shrimp, fried grouper, fried crawfish, fried alligator, blackened or grilled mahi mahi, red beans and rice, collard greens, and hush puppies. The servers are always so welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable, providing great recommendations for menu options and information about specials. They also have delicious sweet tea! The food is fantastic, but the atmosphere is what truly makes this place fun and unique. Seated along the Little Lagoon, Original Oyster House Boardwalk has large windows with an open view of the water. Watch herons, spot fish, and keep an eye out for alligators while you dine among fun fishing themed decor. If there is a wait to be seated, you can check out the gift shop, walk along the boardwalk and check out other fun shops, or feed the fish at the end of the deck. As a child, I always enjoyed “alligator hunting” while looking off the deck and coloring on their fun kid’s menus while we ate. I highly recommend checking out the Original Oyster House Boardwalk to anyone looking for good food and family friendly fun in Gulf Shores!

Day 4 in Gulf Shores and have tried several seafood places so far, none of them were "bad" or disappointing but, some had better food, some had better service, better prices, better atmosphere, etc.. but the Oyster House excelled in every aspect. Really good food, top notch service, pleasant atmosphere.. and everything was reasonably priced compared to the other venues we've tried do far. Would proudly recommend the Oyster House to anyone. The only sad part is, I didn't get any pictures of the others meals, mostly consisting of oysters. My meal was grilled Mahi, stuffed clams, fried oysters, and a loaded baked potato.

The Original Oyster House has been serving up seafood since 1983. I vividly remember eating there in high school, and it looks the same in a lot of ways today. Located in the oldest shopping center in Gulf Shores on Gulf Shores Pkwy, the theming is coastal Alabama- boat motors, fishing gear, and tons of photos of fishing trips from days gone by. 🌊 The menu is extensive. We have eaten there so many times through the years- fried shrimp and fried fish are old favorites and always as good as we remember. They also fry pickles, alligator, crawfish tails, hushpuppies, green tomatoes, chicken, crab, oysters, and cheese sticks. Other winning options are seafood gumbo, crab claws, snow crab legs, a bunch of baked dishes, po’boy sandwiches, and hamburgers. The salad bar has a constant line of diners waiting to create a really fresh salad. There you’ll find a 10 gallon bowl of Ranch Dressing, which shows how popular it is. And as a $5 add-on to our entree, the salad bar was a steal. 🌊 Our waiter today, Steve-O, said they have the 2nd best cheese grits in the world. Who has the first? Steve-O’s Aunt Nancy in Kentucky. He said he personally makes the best cocktail sauce anywhere around. Steve was a great server- speedy, knowledgeable and efficient. He name-dropped classics like Elvis and Winston Groom. 🌊The Boardwalk area has a lot of shops, but none better than the Oyster House’s Trading Company. Opened 10 years ago, it’s a small, compact little store but it’s just so cute! The attendee was really sweet. They sell a large collection of Oyster House t-shirts and sweatshirts, other brands of shirts, hats, bags, books, sauces and seasonings, art and jewelry with a southern theme, souvenirs, and toys and books for the kids. It’s a must see right after your meal, and you’ll be hard pressed to walk out empty handed. 🌊 There’s so much bench seating outside to handle the summer vacation crowd. Off season is much more manageable. The restroom is clean and roomy. Full belly, new shirt - you’ll be glad you stopped in!

Let’s start with the atmosphere. I wouldn’t say there’s anything extraordinary about this restaurant. The carpet, tables, and decor are all dated and old. Old photos of people fishing from the 80’s or 90’s and faded aquatic posters on the walls. Maybe some people like that sort of thing, but for me, when I’m spending nearly $200 to done out, I guess I’d like things to be a little newer and in better condition. It didn’t feel purposefully kitschy like Cracker Barrel. It just felt neglectfully worn out. We were there on a Sunday evening, and it was relatively quiet. No special events happening. We were seated right away around 5:45pm. Service was good. They kept our drinks filled and food came quickly. The salad bar was constantly being stocked so it didn’t run out of things. Food: For the price, it was meh. Hit or miss. The salad bar was basic and not really worth the $13 they charge for it as a meal, and the plates for it are tiny, like side-salad plates that couldn’t even hold a dinner-sized salad and a roll. My daughter got the blacked Mahi Mahi, and it was very over-cooked and dry, but not bad tasting. I would expect a seafood place at this price point to be able to cook a basic fish well. Her side of Mac and cheese was also very over cooked. The pasta was mushy. My son got the Joe and Dave’s Favorite oysters and he said they were good. Peel and eat shrimp were fine. Some of the better hush puppies I’ve had. My youngest child got kids meal chicken tenders and fries. There were clumps of dust in the basket!! It was obvious that they aren’t cleaning well. Probably clumps of dust fell from the light fixtures or ceiling tiles into the stack of baskets in the kitchen and they didn’t notice. It was gross. Also, I know things are just more these days but a soft drink is $3.75, which is just insane. Overall, it was a little over $160 for all 5 of us before tip, and I didn’t really feel like it was a good value or experience for the price, hit-and-miss on quality of the cooking, and serious concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen, so I don’t recommend it. I’ll update after we try some other restaurants nearby with some recommendations for alternatives. Update: if you want amazing seafood, go to Jesse’s on the Bay. It’s only a little bit more money, but the quality is light years better in terms of quality, taste, service, and atmosphere.

My bf and I came down for a last minute getaway in a whim Sunday nov 16th from Birmingham and I really wanted oysters so of course after looking up a few places, this one caught my eye. We got here around 7 something and saw it was nearly empty so I was a little worried that this would not be great, but everything was amazing from beginning to end, first off our server Rocco was the best ever, he answered all my questions and he wasn't just trying to push a same, he was honest and very informative which is what I love. I don't eat alot and I'm a light drinker sooooo I hate when servers try to oversell to boost their sales up to boost their tip percentage, because I tip based on service not sales. He was very accommodating and as a server myself I try not to be needy but he reassured me that I was good and he would take care of us and he did. I even felt bad because we were there so late but even the kitchen staff came to check on us and see if we were still ordering before closing the kitchen down. We had an amazing anniversary trip and Rocco made it all the more wonderful. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Sea N Suds is a renowned family-owned restaurant located on the Gulf of Mexico. It offers a variety of seafood options, including freshly shucked oysters and a seafood platter of the day. The restaurant also participates in the Alabama Oyster Shell Recycling Program to contribute to building new reefs along the coast.
This place was above and beyond and will always hold some of our best memories. The service here was top notch, bar tenders were great, our server Amanda was so hospitable and welcoming. She made this lunch so special for my kids and family and something we will always remember from this trip. The food was delicious and fresh, the atmosphere and view were one of a kind and anymore it's hard to find staff that go above and beyond for their customers. This place is one of a kind! Highly recommend

Place is right on the shore! Watch parasailing and jet skiers. 1/2lb peel and eat shrimp is $10, 1 lb is $18. We got well over a pound each. Sweet potato fries $4 and hush puppies $4! Great views with great food! Lots of fans on the porch even in hot weather is comfortable!

I think the seafood itself was just okay. The gumbo was delicious. The crab claws were my favorite item I tried. I think the ambiance of the restaurant is what makes this restaurant better than it is. Our server was really nice and helpful but disappeared towards the end of our stay. We needed a box and he never showed up again. A different server gave us a box.

Sea N Suds is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Gulf Shores! My family and I have been coming here for over 25 years. The food and service has been consistently good for as long as I can remember. Whether you are just coming off the beach for a quick lunch or heading out for a family dinner, Sea N Suds has something for you. I always enjoy my meal with a cup of their plentiful seafood gumbo and a glass of sweet iced tea. Leading up to our most recent trip to Gulf Shores, I was literally dreaming of their peel and eat steamed shrimp. It is SO good- perfectly seasoned, and deliciously paired with a tangy and balanced cocktail sauced. I have had many different dishes at Sea N Suds, including but not limited to: seafood gumbo (see video), peel and eat steamed shrimp (see photo), fried shrimp, popcorn shrimp, fried crab claws, fried oysters, oysters on the half shell, royal reds, fried mullet, fish of the day, fried catfish, fried okra, fried cheese, fried mushrooms, hush puppies, onion rings, coleslaw, and virgin strawberry daiquiris. You literally cannot go wrong with any of these choices- or anything on the menu for that matter. I recently also tried the piña colada on the rocks (see photo), which was sweet and delicious! Everything here is always served fresh with a smile! Some of the servers at Sea N Suds have been there since I was a young child. If that doesn’t scream positive atmosphere, I don’t know what does. Due to the popularity of this Gulf Shores staple, there is usually a wait to be seated. But don’t worry, they have plenty to keep you entertained while you wait, including beach access, a deck with stunning ocean views, a fun bar, and a lovely little gift shop. I have never felt the dread of waiting to be seated, but rather been excited to go and watch the gulls and dolphins while sipping a fun drink prior to a fantastic meal. Sea N Suds is a must for me every time I’m in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. I highly recommend giving this wonderful restaurant a try next time you’re in town!

It's decent food. Great salad bar. Food came out fast didn't have to wait too long. Luckily we got there before the crowd hit at 6.

Beautiful view of the beach ⛱️! We chose raw oysters and royal reds which were delicious!! The only reason for 4 stars is because other than what we purchased almost everything else was fried. Salad bar also available. We definitely will return.
Linda W — Google review
We were seated immediately with a party of 8 outside in the sun with no warning. As you can see from our photo, the only non functioning, rusted fan is on that side. $40 for some bland fried crab claws-but portions were great! The waitress did not necessarily make the heat any better, she did her job, but nothing more than the basics. You’ll be okay eating here, just don’t go at 5:15 and eat outside.

The Pink Pony Pub in Gulf Shores is a popular late-night spot known for its beachfront location, casual atmosphere, and delicious seafood and pub food. The restaurant's pink exterior with a pony painted outside adds to its charm. Whether you're looking to enjoy the air conditioning indoors or soak up the sun on the wooden deck overlooking the surf, this beachfront establishment offers a delightful experience.
We stopped here while spending time at the Gulf Shores beach. Cute pink building close by to the beach, with a nice view. The staff was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. My group and I all really liked our food. They got fried gulf shrimp and blackened gulf shrimp. The hush puppies were delicious. The best any of us have had anytime recently. The fries were seasoned and perfectly crispy. I ordered the blackened fish basket and it was as delicious as I could’ve hoped for.
Rachel B — Google review
I’ve been coming to the Pink Pony since I was a kid, and it’s always held a special place in my heart. So naturally, when I came home to visit, I was excited to stop by and relive those memories. Walking in, I was thrilled to see that the place still looks the same—there’s a charm and familiarity that makes it feel like home. That said, I do wish a bit more care was put into the food and drinks. Respectfully, the Bushwacker I had was almost undrinkable, and the oysters I ordered weren’t properly shucked—there were shells in nearly every bite. No house-made ranch, and the overall menu felt uninspired, almost as if it was put together without much thought. The location is unbeatable, and the vibe has all the potential in the world. But it feels like the quality of the experience, especially when it comes to the menu and service, hasn’t caught up. Our server wasn’t particularly friendly either, which added to the sense that things have slipped. Despite that, I’ll always come back—this place is part of my history. I just really hope to see it taken to the next level someday. It truly deserves that.

Located right on the beach!! The food was really good!! My husband got the crab cakes and said they were to die for!!!! I was a little surprised about the crab claw basket when we got the receipt since it didn’t have the price on the menu. $45 for a crab claw basket seemed a bit pricey but my niece enjoyed it. The service was not great since it was a very busy place. It took a long time to get good, or to get refills. Make sure you go a little early so u can get on their wait list to get in too.

Great place! The drinks are AMAZING!!! Highly recommend the Bob Marley and key lime colada! The burger of the month was a pimento cheese burger with fried green tomato and I loved it! The grilled fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly! Not to mention the best fried pickles I’ve had in a long time! Not too salty but very tasty!!! Staff was mostly friendly and happy to answer questions. The food took about 40 minutes to come out but the place was packed and the drinks and appetizer came quick. The patio is amazing and has a beautiful view of the pier

We came across this place when looking for somewhere to eat on the beach. Before being seated the hostess informed us they were out of about a third of the menu items. We decided to stay since there wasn’t a wait. The food, service, and indoor atmosphere was ok. The outdoor atmosphere was better because of the view of the beach and ocean. The seating indoors was plastic folding chairs and tables, outdoors was wooden picnic tables. They were not the most comfortable but I guess that is the look they were going for. The location right on the beach is pretty much what this place has going for it.

We were super excited to try this cute place directly on the beach. We had a beautiful view of the sunset, but the food was not good. I had the 🍔 and it was bland, like it had no seasoning. My husband had the shrimp po'boy and he had the same issue, it was bland. We ate half our meals and left once the sun went down. Cute pink place on the beach but food was a miss.

The Beach House Kitchen and Cocktails is a laid-back hangout featuring Gulf Coast seafood, burgers, and a bar with a patio. Situated in Gulf Shores, the restaurant offers a unique beach experience with its distinctive white sand beaches and 32 miles of coastline. Additionally, it boasts stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico at dusk from its location near the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa in Miramar Beach, Florida.
We visited the Beach House intentionally during happy hour to try some different food than the typical main drag tourist food (while also saving a couple of bucks). Our group was 6, and while we only had one cocktail, we each had 2 happy hour appetizers. The happy hour appetizers offerings are the same as regular, but smaller and $6 each at the time of our visit. I had the Bama Rolls and the bacon wrapped shrimp. My wife had the spin dip and the chicken wings. The food was hot and tasty. The service was good. We had to wait for a table, but we wanted to sit inside and watch March Madness so it was fine. I really liked the Bama Rolls. The pineapple chutney with the shrimp was awesome too. My wife loves the wings and she was fond of the pita chips (not crispy fried, but freshly toasted). During happy hour (2-5) this place is a great midday snack!

Spinach and artichoke dip was amazing with the pita chips. Chicken strip dinner was amazing. It was tender, juicy, and had the best crumb. Hands down best! Crawfish Mac and cheese was seasoned just right with just enough spice mixed with the cheese was phenomenal. Bayley was our waiter and he was the best.

Out of all the restaurants we went to this one was our favorite. The best food we’ve had and great service as well. The bacon wrapped shrimp was perfect. I had the chicken tacos and they were so good. My husband had the gulf fish and shrimp and he said it was delicious! My daughter and her boyfriend had the blackened chicken Mac n cheese and the crawfish Mac n cheese, they both loved their food.

This place has been a staple in my family's trips! They have seen my babies grow as grand as their appetite. They have always left us happy, encouraged (a wonderful server gave encouraging words of advice to my daughter a few years ago,) and given full bellies every visit. We always look to this place as a must-visit and can't thank the owner and staff for everything they do! Wish I could truly put how valuable this place is and hope it becomes a generational tradition. Love this place!

Fabulous experience!! Service was great! All the food was amazing! We had the Artichoke Dip appetizer, which came with freshly fried pita chips. We both had burgers, which are ground in house. And I had the key lime pie and my husband had the chocolate cake. I had a cocktail to drink and my husband had a draft beer. Everything was sooo good!! We will definitely be back! Update: We liked it so much we came back on this trip. And, of course, got the Artichoke dip appetizer again. So good! I was actually wiping the inside of the bowl with the pita chips to try and get it all. Their outdoor dining area is very nice and relaxed. Also, try their Pina Colada!

Unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience. First I want to say we went in a Tuesday. We have never been here before. The waitress did not tell us a single thing. Awkwardly asked us if we wanted drinks so we did. They were ok. Pretty sure my spiked lemonade was lemonade with syrup. The Pina colada was decent. Awkwardly she asked if we wanted an appetizer, I asked for a recommendation and she shrugged her shoulders and said “I don’t know, maybe chips and queso” so we got the chips and jalapeño queso. That was disappointing. Chips with chili powder covered on them. Luke warm gueso with a chopped jalapeño. We then decided we wanted to try a different app. We got the fried spring rolls. Soggy, cold, no flavor, with some bottled bbq on the side. At this point we weren’t sure about getting a meal. So we waited for the waitress who then comes back and says “you want tacos, or are you done?” I guess I’m done then. She obviously didn’t want to be there and at the point neither did we. I found out after we left from other people that they had specials going on. I did not know that tuesdays that had taco specials. The hostess would not acknowledge us when we left. Some random dude sitting at a table with guest also told us to have a great day. I’m glad he acknowledged that there were customers. Very unwelcoming environment from the start.

The Wharf Amphitheater is a popular venue located within The Wharf complex in Orange Beach. It hosts big-name concerts and events throughout the year, with a seating capacity of 10,000 offering both covered and open-air seating options. In addition to concerts, visitors can enjoy shopping, dining, and a marina within The Wharf complex. Nearby attractions include the OWA amusement park in Foley, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, and the Gulf State Pier in Orange Beach.
Teddy Swims was absolutely awesome, but buying tickets was a total disaster. I was going with my 11-year-old and wanted to make sure he would be able to see everything — but it ended up being a complete guess, because there’s nowhere to check your view from different points when buying tickets. Important: Sections 101–103 and the pit are all on the same flat level, so your view will be blocked by whoever stands in front of you. And yes, everyone will be standing! Sections 200 and up are the first areas that are actually elevated and lined up more directly with the stage. If you short and want a clear view, definitely aim for the 200 sections or higher.

The Wharf Amphitheater is one of the cleanest and best organized venues I’ve been to. Parking was easy, staff was friendly, and the setup makes every seat feel close to the stage. The sound quality was crystal clear and the lighting made the whole concert feel electric. Seeing Phish there was an incredible experience and I’d definitely come back for any show. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves great live music in a clean, comfortable setting.

Best concert experience ever! Open air atmosphere, every seat provides an excellent view, and plenty of space to navigate within the amphitheater. The staff was professional, respectful, kind, and helpful. Even the long lines to get in and out moved a lot faster and smoother than expected. I highly recommend this location.

First of all it gets very humid here. It basically built on a swamp. Be prepared to pay a fair amount for anything. A small bottled water is $6 after tax. You can imagine what everything else is. The sound is pretty high decibel so bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to sound. That being said it's still a nice facility for a concert.

Went to see the Coral Reefers. The amphitheater is showing its age but a diamond. Only real complaint was the stalls in the men's room had broken doors and/or latches. This is a simple maintenance issue that shouldn't be a complex fix.

Caption Zack highly impressed me. He had a mechanical setback a few days before my scheduled Bowfishing charter. He called me the morning he found out about the set back to re-schedule or offer a refund. Due to a short vacation to Orange Beach, AL, I was not able to re-schedule. Zack made a recommendation for another reputable bowfishing charter and provided me a refund. This process took less than 1 1/2 hrs. from call, new reservation, to refund. Based on the above interaction with Shallow Stalkers Bowfishing Charters & Caption Zack, I would recommend their charter services.

The best restaurant we ate at in gulf shores! We found parking really easily however we went around 4pm. Environment was super colorful and the place was decorated with duct tape. Immediately got seated and food came out quickly. Our waitress, Katie, was super nice and we joked around and got to meet “manager in charge of the day” Bryan! Staff was super sweet and nice. It was really good, the seasoning on the shrimp was excellent. I also got a Bloody Mary, which was good, but I really enjoyed the pickled green beans that were in it. If you want to have a nice, relaxed, waterfront breakfast this is the place. Would highly recommend for locals or visitors.

Every worker we came in contact with was friendly. Our waitress did a good job. Food was reasonably priced, delicious and came out in a timely manner. Save room for the salted caramel cheesecake

This restaurant is an amazing place to eat, and I highly recommend it! I ordered the wangs, and they did not disappoint! Our server, Abbey, was an absolute delight. The atmosphere was amazing, I felt like a friend the entire time! The tape lining the walls of past happy customers is an amazing touch. Tacky Jacks is an amazing restaurant for anyone in the area! Five stars!

We just had breakfast at Tacky Jack's. it eas our first time ever trying this restaurant, but after passing by the Gulf Shore's location and seeing the cool appearance and vibe, I was intrested in trying it. The food was great. Our server Josh was amazing. He was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We will return for dinner sometime when we are back in town.

We should have known when we were given the “side eye” as we walked up… The first hostesses we saw acted like we were interrupting them, though the restaurant was not busy AT ALL. Our server, Michael, was amazing! Friendly and on top of things. The food was “ok”. My husband and I both got fish and it was not hot, just kinda room temp/warm. He ended up with food poisoning. We got fried pickles as an appetizer, and they were good. Nothing to write home about. Probably will not go back. It could have just been an off night, but other than our server, it was not a good experience.

Gulf State Park Pier, located in Gulf Shores, is a popular spot for fishing and offers scenic views of the beach and ocean. The pier was reconstructed after being demolished by Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and now features an indoor concession seating area, a retail tackle shop, and wheelchair-accessible rail fishing opportunities. With over 2,400 feet of fishing space, it is the largest public pier on the Gulf of Mexico.
The newly refinished pier is so nice; busy with so many fishermen. My visit was bitter sweet since I went to keep a promise I had made to my husband before he passed away. The last time I had taken him there to fish, his health had already diminished his ability to walk & so being in a wheelchair he fished near the beginning of the pier, since the end had not yet been rebuilt because of the hurricane damage. It is so beautiful, and they honor us Veterans with discounts, so I was able to bring his ashes with me, to be together on the fully finished pier as I had promised we would do once it was finished❤️ THANK YOU Gulf State Park Pier for your kindness!!

Pier was probably the nicest pier I've ever been too. It does cost to park and go on the pier, but it was well worth it. Kids 11 and under are free. Also, if you take your parking pass stub to pay for entry to the pier, you get one free entry. Employees were very nice and helpful. There's ice cream, food, drinks, and clean bathrooms. Also, you can't beat the view of the beautiful beach and ocean. It was fun to watch people catch fish.

We went to Gulf State Park Pier a little before sunset on the last evening of our vacation. This was the PERFECT time to go! The sun was at a point to where we could see beneath the surface of the water allowing us to watch schools of fish swimming, a few crabs and even spot some nice shells! On the opposite side of the pier we saw multiple dolphins playing (at least 6) and swimming. Nearer the pier we noticed fish began to jump out of the water and then we saw a shark swimming right below us! We understood why those fish were jumping after that. We made our way down the pier and wound up seeing a shark twice more as multiple fishermen caught ladyfish and mackerel all around us. The sun finally completely set and the sky grew dark except for the sliver of moon and the stars. It was a really awesome walk on the pier with a lot of action and a beautiful sunset and moonrise. If you’re looking for an affordable and fun way to spend an evening, head to the Gulf State Park Pier and see what you can discover in the water 😊

Parking was $10 and for 2 of us $3 to walk the pier and enjoy the sunset. The early evening breeze made the visit very comfortable even though it was 93 degrees when we arrived

The Gulf State Park Pier has been seriously upgraded since my last visit. It had been damaged and they have done quite a lot of repairs and updates. I had no idea that they had started charging to go to the far end of the pier as that wasn't the case when I last visited. As a veteran I get free parking and also free entrance to the pier. I never saw any signage that indicated I had to pay to walk out to the pier but I did get yelled at for just walking out on the pier past the "commercial zone" and had to show my military veteran ID to proceed. I found it odd that I was somehow magically supposed to know that there was a fee or requirement to show my veteran ID when I never saw any sign to that effect. The lady that yelled at me came out of a door so she was inside where I couldn't have seen her so they should certainly add some signs that explain what they want more clearly to avoid weird situations like this. They also have a restaurant and bar here but I would suggest eating somewhere else. The pier does seem to be a decent place to fish and I saw several people bringing in some nice sized fish. Overall this seems like a good option if you want to fish off a pier or just enjoy the great view here. If I had to pay to just walk to the end of the pier I wouldn't have done that as you can get a good enough view from the "commercial zone" where the bar and restaurant are located. Overall this is an interesting spot to check out but I just heard they have raised the price of parking so that might make this area less attractive to visit.
Shannon G — Google review
I fished here for two days. What a great learning experience, and the staff are great people quick to help . Seeing a sea turtle made my day . Best $10 bucks parking and going out on the pier ($2.00) part of your parking ticket lower half gives you excess to the pier .

Step into the Sunliner Diner for a taste of 1950s nostalgia and classic American diner fare. The bright, retro-style restaurant features turquoise-and-white padded booths, vintage Ford Sunliners out front, and a jukebox playing hits from the era. The menu offers all-day breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes, sundaes, banana splits, and apple pie.
Marley my server was amazing. Made good recommendation. Confused me to try strawberry cream soda! Absolutely amazing! Yummy. I ordered hamburger just ok and fries cold. But cream soda great. Atmosphere great. And service exceptional. I’ll come back but not for hamburger!

Sunliner has become a must every time we are in the area! Look for the pink Cadillac outside and neon signage on the strip. When you come inside its just as amazing with more neon lighting, old fashioned booths, a full size vehicle, jukebox, and an impressive bar. The visual is so fun! Breakfast (or brunch) is always fantastic. From omelets 🍳 that satisfy your favorite ingredients, to amazing waffles, burgers that are anything but ordinary🍔, and some of the coolest ice cream options 🍨 you've ever seen... the food is so good! And, for those 21+, there's a fun drink menu to compliment your meal.🥂 Creatively, your menu is an old newspaper 📰 with fun stories, trivia & facts on the front cover. Also, the seating area inside is huge so dont worry about getting a table. This is fun and an amazing throwback destination for a really good meal.

Like walking into a 50’s diner! Staff is dressed the part, food is amazing, onion rings a hot and great as well. The atmosphere is awesome, even have a jukebox and 50’s music. Music was before my time but my mom listened to it and it was great. Pretty nostalgic, I loved it. I did order my burger with no bun, but it’s the Barnyard and it was great.

Such a fun spot to eat. The servers were all so friendly, helpful, and amazing. Natisha was our server, and she was fantastic. The atmosphere is great. I had the chicken and waffles Benedict and husband had the Dream Boat (this one was a massive portion). Definitely recommend for breakfast food. We didn’t order any lunch or dinner foods, so can’t comment on that.

This was one of the best places we visited on our vacation. Stephanie, our server, was amazing and the food we ordered was fresh and great. My jukebox burger was juicy, and full of flavor. Fish and chips were crispy with just the right amount of dip to make the fish crunchy on the outside and soft and melty on the inside. Definitely highly recommended for the atmosphere but also for the food!

The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail - Rosemary Dunes Trailhead in Orange Beach, Alabama is a perfect escape from the touristy scene. The trail takes you through towering pines, scrub oak, palmetto, and thick green deer moss.
If you are a mama with littles still in strollers or with ones in wagons/chairs, this is the best set of trails I’ve found! They have paved and non paved/hard options, there’s a giant slide and butterfly garden, plenty of benches and beautiful views. We will 100% be back in a few days/weeks once it warms up! I can’t say enough, we did about 8 miles round trip and it was absolutely gorgeous all the way through! The trails are wide enough to not worry about bumping into other people as well.

Say hi to Lefty, the local legend, 3-footed alligator who seems to be completely comfortable with people and bikes around. We spotted one of her babies sunning this afternoon as well 🙂 The (paved) trail is very popular with e-bikes and walkers as well. SUPER clean restrooms. Great signage throughout the trail describing plants and animals. Can’t recommend this trail enough!

The trails in this system are fantastic for hiking or biking. They are all paved or on raised boardwalks over wet areas. You can see and hear a large number of wildlife. It may get a little busy on the weekends or holidays, but if everyone stays courteous, it all flows smoothly. There are a number of trailheads and there are water fountains and restrooms throughout. Enjoy!

I enjoyed walking this trail each day of my vacation in October. There was plenty of parking in the morning and one thing that I really liked was how safe I felt on the trail. I know people have complained about the cyclists and it's true, I was one of the only ones walking but the cyclists were very nice and often alerted me they were behind. I did the 1.5 mile walk to the butterfly garden and back each day. The trail was flat, paved, and partially shaded.

The Branyon Backcountry Trail is a fantastic destination for biking enthusiasts. The trail offers a well-maintained path that winds through scenic landscapes, providing a refreshing and invigorating ride. Its diverse terrain caters to both novice and experienced cyclists, making it an inclusive spot for everyone. The natural beauty surrounding the trail, with lush greenery and occasional wildlife sightings, adds to the charm of the biking experience. Overall, the Branyon Backcountry Trail is highly recommended for those looking for a great place to bike amidst nature's splendor.

This park is beautiful. We were able to walk about 8 miles of trails (many more miles of trails available for walking/biking). It's a great combination of sunny/shady trail, foliage, beautiful lakes and wildlife. I absolutely recommend this park, within walking distance of the beach too. Next time I will take my bike and ride more of the trails.

Gulf Shores Seafood is a renowned seafood market and restaurant in Gulf Shores, Alabama. With over 60 years of experience, it offers the freshest seafood including Gulf shrimp, crab legs, oysters, and scallops. Conveniently located near Waterville USA, it's a popular stop for beachgoers. While it's primarily a grab-and-go spot without seating, visitors rave about its low country boil and various dips.
Country Boil for 2 is $25! Lots of shrimp, 2 large corn on cob, 2 large sausages, 6-8 or so potatoes! Snow crab cluster is $26 a lb. All of this for $50! Awesome place. Mild, medium and Cajun garlic butter seasoning available! Went back later in the week. Got the same thing! Def recommend! Best bang for your buck!

We ordered this amazing seafood from Goldbelly and had it shipped overnight to northern Alabama ! What a fantastic experience, everything was still cold and ice packs were still solid even in this 90 degree Alabama heat ! The shrimp are very large , sausage corn and potatoes fresh and the instructions on how to season and boil were spot on ! Thank you for excellent service and a delicious dinner !! 🍤 🌽 🥔

As someone who has been coming to Gulf Shores all my life and grew up eating gumbo in New Orleans. However this was some of the best Gumbo I’ve had since I left the 504. The boudin was outrageous, the andouille was great, the old bay butter was perfect (you can never go wrong with a good whipper butter). The shrimp and crab legs were AMAZING in our low country boil. I will recommend this spot to anyone and everyone who is visiting Gulf Shores. Pro Tip: get the gumbo here, go up to rouses and get a French bread loaf….heaven on earth.

We arrived to find that they were very busy and understaffed; however, the workers were amazing! They were so exceptional that even my teenage sons suggested I write a review. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The shrimp was fantastic, and the peanut butter pie was delicious! I can't wait to visit again this week.

Don’t sleep on this place! It was our third market stop today. We grabbed the lump crab dip and everything seasoned bagettes. That didn’t even make back to the fam. We were looking for boudin. They had a small variety and the balls are always my personal fave. Can’t wait to cook them! Customer service was exceptional!

Ordered royal reds to go. Opened at home and they were just plain old gulf shrimp. Kitchen couldn’t even be bothered to run a knife down the back and devein them. Premium charge for bare minimum effort.

We have been eating here for almost 30 years when on vaca ... often 4 or 5 times in one week. We have referred hundreds here over these years. We brought our parents w us this time only to get 3 lbs of the smallest mushy shrimp that was difficult to peal and spent almost $100 They don't do individual meals any more. We always order the larger red royals. Not a good experience under the new owners. Very sad about this. Not sure that we will be back.

Doc’s Seafood and Steaks is a popular dining spot with several locations, offering a laid-back atmosphere and a menu filled with Gulf Coast favorites. The original location on Canal Road in Orange Beach is known for its expansive offerings of steak and seafood, including the best fried shrimp, delicious seafood gumbo, and fresh oysters. Additionally, they offer to cook up your own catch if you've had a successful day fishing.
If a place advertises "The best fried shrimp in the entire civilized world" you have to give them a try! I enjoyed the fried shrimp, for sure. I was a bigger fan of the stuffed crab. Something different here: you prepare your own cocktail sauce. They give you a little plastic cup with horseradish in it, then you add the ketchup, worsheshire sauce and lemon. It was actually pretty good! Now, I know how to make my own. This is a family friendly restaurant. They had games and things outside. There are also other locations.
Angelia B — Google review
I’ve always enjoyed Doc’s fried fish and was impressed with the grilled fish flavor and juiciness. First time to this new location and it’s very nice compared to the original; although i do like the round tables at the other location more than the long tables for large groups. This new location is also very loud. We had a great experience with our group, great service and delicious food. And as always the hushpuppies are the highlight of my meal. They are by far my favorite of any in this area.

I came here to Orange Beach for vacation with my Mom and stepfather last month. We went to a restaurant almost every day we were here, including this seafood restaurant. Which made perfect sense now that we were at the beach. I ordered the Mahi Mahi specialty dinner, to savor the opportunity to enjoy fresh seafood. And boy was it delectable!

We went on Columbus Day with about 40 classmates from the Foley Class of 73. They were able to sit us in an area where we were all together, we had several awesome servers assigned to us. The servers quickly knocked out and served all of our drinks. They offered us great suggestions from the menu. Our food was quickly and expertly prepared. Everyone present seemed to really enjoy their meals.
Ray M — Google review
I heard great reviews about this location so my family and I decided to try it. I just don't understand. It was a lot of food but the flavor just wasn't there. Our waitress for some reason had an attitude most of the night. She acted like she didn't want to be there and we were a bother. We tried to just let it go but it made the visit somewhat awkward. It just wasn't worth it for the price we paid.
Steven B — Google review
Doc’s Seafood delivers that laid-back beach shack vibe you want after a long day in the sun. Their fried shrimp often steals the show crispy, well seasoned.., and satisfying. Some dishes (like gumbo or red snapper) land okay, but occasionally lean a bit bland or salty. Service tends to be friendly and fast, though during busy times you’ll feel the wait. Atmosphere is relaxed, casual, with that local charm. Prices can run a bit high for what you get, but overall it’s a solid stop if you’re craving seafood and don’t need fancy.
Tanya ( — Google review
We had a good meal but it wasn’t a great meal. Nothing wrong with good meal but our experience with Doc’s is normally a little higher. I’m sure it will be back to normal next visit.
Coach K — Google review
While vacationing in South Baldwin County, AL for our anniversary, we wanted to try the local seafood. So, we went to Doc's Seafood and Steaks in Orange Beach. We were disappointed that there was no other fried fish option but catfish. (We don't eat catfish.) So, we choose to go with the fried chicken. Y'all, we were not disappointed. The chicken was seasoned well. I had a breast and it was very juicy. The crinkle fries were very tasty and the potato salad was good if you like a mayo base salad. (It was not better than my potato salad but good for a restaurant. 😁) The price for the lunch special with two side was about $15, which is not bad. My wife had the fried okra and it was very good. The Mac & Cheese was not the best. It tasted like boxed Mac & Cheese. So, I will give Doc's a 8 out 10 only because they did not have a selection on the fish. If you are ever in OBA I say, check it out if just for the fried chicken.

Although some areas like Mr. Nix's apartment are not accessible, there is a wealth of historical information available for enthusiasts to delve into.
What a beautiful home! And the docents could not have been kinder 🙂 A wonderful place to visit! House was originally built by a Cajun fisherman and his family as a one story dog trot with four rooms. Then bought by the Swift family who were in logging. They moved in with eight children and ended up with eleven! So they added the upstairs and another wing built with the timber from their own lumber mill. There are photo albums around the house with pictures of the family through time.

My review is on the exterior appearance of the building and grounds only, not the venue service. The home and setting was beautiful from the outside but the gates were locked and no one was present. While we were there several other people stopped and reported they have also tried to view with the same result.

Situated at the center of the Gulf State Park, by Middle Lake's shores, lies the Nature Center where visitors can gain insights into local habitats and wildlife. The building houses reptiles and amphibians in terrariums, while raptors occupy a space beneath it. With park naturalists always available to answer questions, aquariums complement the area's offerings.
The best place to go to see nature, get to the beach easily, and ride for miles on the many well established beautiful bike/walking trails. It's very hard to get in if wanting more than an overnight.

We had a nice time exploring the nature center today. It's $3 for a car day pass (free for Veterans). The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You're able to see live alligators, turtles, fish, snakes, owls, hawks, and more! Everything is labeled and there is lots of educational resources. Most things are not to touch, but there is a sensory corner with stuffed animals and books. We walked outside to see the small amphitheater and over to the gift shop to purchase some animal stuffies to take home. Wonderful time!

Great exhibits about local wildlife. They had stuffed examples of many of the larger animals (deer, bear, sea turtles, coyotes, eagles, etc) along with tanks with baby alligators, turtles, fish, frogs, and snakes. Bicycle rental service
When you visit Beach Bike Rentals, you'll have a wide selection of bikes to choose from, including cruisers, tandems for riding with a friend, pull-behind and individual children's bikes. They also offer adult trikes and all the necessary accessories like helmets, baskets, and cycling computers for a fun and safe ride. Located near the Gulf State Park Rosemary Trail entrance, this rental service provides cruiser bikes, e-bikes, tandems, adult trikes, and children's bikes.
Loved the ease of renting e bikes, and that it was just one (low) price for the whole day. We only lasted 2.5 hours before returning, but loved having the option for longer. We were given a quick tutorial about the bikes, and was offered a map of the local paths. It's super close to a good size trail system.

I had such a wonderful experience here! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the park ranger was especially kind and helpful. They provided detailed maps for the trails, making it so easy to explore and enjoy the area. The positive attitude and great service truly made my visit memorable. I left feeling happy, relaxed, and excited to come back again. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and good vibes!

Rented a couple of bikes on Saturday to ride around the park. The staff was super nice and helpful reviewing how everything worked with the bikes. They provided a map and some advice on where to go in the park. The fact that you get a whole day of bike rental instead of just 4 hours is awesome as well.
Craig G — Google review
The customer service on the phone and in person was great! The bikes are the kind we were looking for, convenient to ride into park from store, and a good price. Very pleased.

These guys are awesome. Easy drop off and pick up of the bikes, and these beauties were clutch riding back and forth to Sand in My Boots. ❤️

This is the 2nd time renting the Townie E-Bikes from Beach Bike Rentals by far the best value for your money with them. Can't wait for our next trip to Orange Beach, Al so we can rent them again!
Tammie M — Google review
We had an absolute blast renting ebikes. It was the highlight of our trip! The person at the shop was very nice and the bikes were so much fun. We spent about 5 hours biking around the Gulf State Park and still didn't get to see all of it because it is so huge. Ebikes are definitely the best way to see the park.
Megan P — Google review
The rental process was very easy and the staff was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable! We felt comfortable from the moment we stepped inside. They went above and beyond with taking a picture before we took off. We had an amazing time on the trail and plan to rent numerous bikes in September 2020 when we travel back to Orange Beach with our children and grandchildren. Be prepared! Oh and most importantly - the bikes are amazing. Very comfortable and very easy to use. I would really like to have one of my own! Thank you for a great experience. We were completely satisfied with everything!!!! Thanks for a great vacation memory!

Gulf Shores Golf Club is a must-visit destination for golf enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable experience. Recognized as one of the top golf courses in the U.S., it caters to players of all abilities, thanks to its friendly and knowledgeable staff who are eager to help you enjoy your day on the greens. Established as one of the area's first courses, Gulf Shores Golf Club features a beautifully renovated layout that harmonizes with its traditional plantation-style clubhouse.
Really enjoyed this course! Course was in great condition. Course was challenging with many sand traps and water hazards. Greens are in great shape but incredibly fast. Driving range being included was nice as well! Very good place for the price. Club house personnel was pleasant as well. I was greeted by Lori who was very nice and friendly. After I finished play, I met Jim and he was also very friendly and we chatted for a bit. Would definitely come back.

Absolutely loved playing at Gulf Shores Golf Club! The course is in fantastic condition — beautifully maintained fairways, smooth greens, and a layout that’s both fun and challenging. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping this course top-notch. What really sets it apart is the scenery. The course winds through some stunning natural landscapes — tall pines, marsh views, and even a few local wildlife sightings. It's peaceful, quiet, and gives you that perfect mix of nature and great golf.
Amy S — Google review
My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was challenging and the greens and carts were well kept. Our marshal was Joe, he was so friendly and gave us an excellent start. Once we finished we headed into the pro shop Jim was personable and a joy to visit with…. Which is rare as most of the time the guys working the desk at other courses are most opposite! We are from Texas but visit the area yearly and we will definitely return!
Kelly S — Google review
This was my first time to play Gulf Shores Golf Club and I couldn’t have been more impressed. What a beautiful golf course! The greens were absolutely perfect, fairways lush, and bunkers well groomed. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The course layout is fun and challenging. I had a terrific experience and can’t wait to try it again. When you go to a new golf course this is exactly what you’re hoping to find.

Played 18 today with my buddy and another group of two from Arkansas. Turned out to be a fantastic grouping. Course was in great shape considering all the rain earlier in the week. Most difficult shot was the 2nd shot on each hole for sure. Deceptively challenging course. Staff was amazing. Will definitely go back!!
David R — Google review
Played 18 there yesterday and had a blast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were well taken care of and the groundskeepers were constantly in motion to ensure they remain so. Will definitely be back!

Best course in the Gulf Shores area. Great conditions and staff. Beautiful fairways and fast but true greens. Also pace of play the 3 rounds I played in 3 days was really reasonable. Would HIGHLY recommend this course.

Played 36 today and I can’t gush about this place enough. Not only was the course in exceptional shape, entire staff was very welcoming and well run from the prop shop, amazing transfusions in the club house and a very welcoming starter. Best course in the area. I highly recommend and cannot wait to come back.

This was so much fun! Party of 3 (including 5y) a little nervous but the guys on the boat were excellent at kept her calm. Probably were up in the air for +/-10mib but we enjoyed the boat ride too! Easy to get to and ton of fun!
Megan S — Google review
The staff were absolutely wonderful and so friendly! They made us laugh and helped make the experience really fun. I would have given 5 stars, but I’m giving 3 due to a few issues that I think the business could improve: 1. Card on File: I had already provided my card, but I was told I needed to bring it back so they could scan it again. That didn’t make much sense—if it’s on file, it shouldn’t need to be scanned again. 2. Tipping Process: The staff definitely deserve tips—they work hard and were amazing! But I don’t think tipping should be brought up at the start of the excursion. It makes more sense to tip at the end, once the experience is complete. While I still gave a good tip, I would have appreciated the opportunity to base it on the full experience. ⸻ Again, the staff were amazing, and I truly had a great time. I would definitely do it again—it’s something that’s been on my list for a long time, and I’m so glad I finally got to experience it!

This was by far the best experience! I have always wanted to do it, but just didn’t have the chance to until now. As someone who gets nervous about heights, this fealt relaxing. The crew working with us were very nice people and did a fantastic job at making this experience unforgettable.
Chloe M — Google review
Maddie and the entire team were amazing! We were booked for parasailing at 3 and a storm rolled through at 230. The communication was consistent throughout the delay and then they did an excellent job getting everyone back out on the water. I’m sure it was stressful for the team but you wouldn’t have guessed it. My boys had a blast. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Isaac L — Google review
We had a great time parasailing yesterday. It was are friends first time and she enjoyed it.
Curtis L — Google review
My son and I parasailed and had a blast! The booking was pretty easy online. The girl at the hut was great, very friendly and was happy to answer the questions I had. The crew getting us on the banana boat was amazing, they work really fast, non-stop. The 2 guys on the boat were wonderful also. Super friendly!! They got things done so fast, gave very detailed instructions for everything. I asked them if they could play the song Crazy Train for me because we had just found out about Ozzy's passing 10 minutes before we left to parasail. They were happy to do it. And they played Ozzy the rest of our time on the boat. We will definitely be back next year for more!
Shelly L — Google review
My husband and I did parasailing and it was a blast!! The crew was awesome too! I do wish they would have disclosed that you have to get on the banana boat pulled by the jet ski to get on the actual boat. Then the picture package was confusing, I booked online and it said 1 photo thinking you only get 1 so I did the 2 photos but it’s by flight so I paid extra for no reason.
Brooke W — Google review
We spent over $100 thinking we would get a 30 min banana boat ride. When we scheduled our time it was for 5-5:30. I guess we missed the part on the website that says it’s only a 10 minute ride, I do see that now, that’s our fault because if we had seen this before we would have never paid this much money for this rip off ride!!!! My sons and husband didn’t even get to ride it for 10 minutes. I looked at the time when they took off and it was 5:03 and 5:11 when they returned but they also spent half that time at the parasail boat picking up those passengers. Just want to warn everyone when scheduling that is not the amount of time you get on the ride. Do not waste your money here!! We were so disappointed. The first thing my kids said when getting off was “that didn’t last long!”😔

Over a two-hour journey, you'll glide along smooth bike paths and wooden sidewalks while your knowledgeable guide shares fascinating insights about the diverse ecosystems that thrive in this natural paradise.
Jason was our guide this morning on the 830 tour. Just me and my 15 year old son. We had a great time. We loved zipping around and seeing the park. My son struggled driving at the end and Jason was great. Highly recommend this activity and will do it again.

Amazing place and service. The sales people were informative and walked us through the safety protocol for e bikes. They were also very knowledgeable about the ecology of the area. We'll be back to take a Segway tour next year!
Liana M — Google review
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about native plants and animals and made frequent stops to point things out and tell us how plants could be used. We were lucky and also got to see Lefty the alligator and hear stories about her. Riding the Segway was a fun way to explore the trails. We highly recommend taking this tour.

The Segway tour was amazing! It was such a fun and unique way to explore the park. Our guide, Dannaka, was friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. We even got to stop and see “Lefty” the alligator along with eagles and a gopher tortoise! I would highly recommend taking this tour if you’re in the Gulf Shores area.

We rented two E- Bikes. Both bikes performed very well. The seats were comfortable but could be softer. I guess they need it for durability to last longer. We left at 8:15am and returned at 12:15pm. We stayed out the whole time of four hours. They have over 26 miles of great trails you can travel on. Highly recommended this on your trip to the area of Gulf Shores. Also need to mention there is plenty of areas to stop and rest water breaks. Bikes have bags on the back to carry water or your belongings.
James C — Google review
Danika was an amazing tour guide and instructor. The scenery was absolutely beautiful & Danika would stop and explain plant live native to the area. My husband and I would highly recommend Coastal Segway Adventures.
Lisa T — Google review
We had never tried e-bikes before but kept seeing them everywhere. Decided to try them at the state park so we could cover more ground. It was so fun! My butt definitely hurts after 2 hours of bikes but it was worth it. You have the option to rent for 4 hours or all day - I do wish there was a shorter option but it was all affordable and the bikes were easy to use. We will do this again some time for sure! The staff members were very friendly too.
Taylor H — Google review
Even though the day was humid, we had so much fun riding the e-trike! My husband has balance issues which is why we chose the trike and he had zero problems with it. We rode over 10 miles! The bike was easy to adjust for the amount of pedaling that you wanted. My husband used a higher level and only had to pedal every little bit. I kept mine at a lower level because I wanted to get more cardio. The path was smooth and the scenery was great!

Gulf Shores Kayak Rentals offers a great experience for those looking to explore the waters of the lagoon that feeds into the Gulf of Mexico. The rental rates are reasonable and the equipment is well-maintained, with a convenient dock for safe and easy launching. Paddlers have the option to enjoy a peaceful paddle through grass-lined channels or head out into the lagoon for a bit more adventure, with a beach just a mile away.
Easy to reserve online, opened on time and ready to put me in a kayak with their launch set up. They gave me the directions and showed the map to go on 45 min paddle through the waters or head out to the lagoon. The lagoon was fantastic-I had the whole thing to myself to enjoy a quiet day on the water and be at my own pace. Found the island and sandbar to relax and enjoy lunch with crabs walking along and small fish swimming around me. A blue heron landed and just sauntered past me on the beach-amazing. Found a couple shells and made sure they still weren’t occupied with crabs. Four hours later- I returned the kayak with ease and next time -going for the full day to paddle to another beach spot closer to the gulf. Flying fish along the way -one bounced off the kayak. 😅

It was super convenient to complete the rental online! Check in was easy and the instructions were clear. The best part was the kayak launch - incredibly easy for everyone in our group to get in and out of the kayaks! We loved kayaking out into the lagoon!

We had a really good time on our impromptu trip we decided to take. It all turned out really nice. Cute little area. We didn't have enough time to go super far but the stuff near by was neat to see too. My mom was a first time kayaker so luckily the water for the most part was fairly shallow and easy to tread. We will definitely be back again to finish our adventure 🛶

Very professional, great communication and experience. I was very nervous at first. This was my favorite experience of the vacation. I will definitely kayak many more times! It is a lot of work but great fun. Don’t forget your son screen and water. FYI. They give you a bag to keep personal items in. Beverly where you tore the bag into the kayak so your personal items don’t end up getting wet. GREAT experience and staff!! Recommend kayaking here for others.

A great experience! The owner is very kind and courteous. He accommodated my needs graciously and gave a thorough explanation of paddling options. Love Gulf Shores, and have been coming to West Beach with family for.over 15 yrs.... It is nice to see so many American flags except when you see a neglected torn flag needing attention.
Gus R — Google review
We stayed in 14e and the unit itself is nice, balcony was awesome. The unit was not clean, there was still cereal under a bar stool so it obviously hadn’t been cleaned properly. Sand and junk in all the drawers including kitchen drawers. Behind beds and in corners looked like it hadn’t been swept in a long time. A few things were broken but it’s a rental unit so no big deal. Major take away though is to make sure you keep your stuff in your room or it will get stolen. Not a fan of having to drag my sandy stuff through condo but we had several things stolen so that’s what we had to do. I don’t think I could recommend this place anymore especially for the price I paid.
Jill N — Google review
We stayed here for spring break and had such a great experience! Very clean building, pool, and the beaches.

We just got home from staying here . Condo was fine , size was great, comfy but no balcony! Why they closed them all in beyond me but it was a major let down . Parking was a nightmare . And whoever works there took my stuff I left outside my door and stole things out of my bag and put it in the dumpster area. My things were not left in a breezeway or walkway and it was out there less than an hour before it was removed . Would not recommend this place at all . I went to the beach to relax and sit on the balcony and that sure didn’t happen .
Delanie M — Google review
Accommodations were nice. Only allowed one parking space additional parking is $12 a day and you can only park the extra vehicle down the street at the realty office. There is security overnight for the condo parking but not at the realty office

We stayed here in Late July and early August and loved it. The bedrooms were decent size and the living and dining areas were comfortable. The kitchen, while small, was more than enough for out week long stay. The real gem though, was the balcony. Sliding the doors open and just sitting in there with the breeze was a favorite for all of us. Only real complaint is that the master bedroom bed was noisy and somewhat uncomfortable for my tastes.

So much fun! I had a blast and would go again. The guides were upbeat, supportive and a lot of fun! I was nervous not having much experience on a kayak. I was slow and awkward but the kayaks are sturdy and built to be super difficult to tip over. When they told us that, I was so relieved. The scenery was beautiful and the wildlife was fascinating. The guides shared stories and good information. Worth the price and the time.

Great kayaking trip! Had previously rented kayaks from WildNative Tours so decided to try the Dolphins & Wildlife Kayak Experience. Michael was a great host/guide and accommodated my family on short notice. He is extremely knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting info about the surrounding area during our kayak tour. We had some brief dolphin sightings; would have loved see more of the dolphins but unfortunately with these types of tours there are no guarantees with the wildlife cooperating. Overall a great guided kayak trip - would recommend!

Little Lagoon is a brackish lake surrounded by 10 miles of marshland and a beach, making it an ideal spot for boating and fishing. Located just 4 kilometers from town, this idyllic destination offers picnic tables, barbecues, and opportunities for leisurely walks or swims. Visitors might even encounter an emu wandering through the area. While there is a parking fee, it provides access until 2 am, making it suitable for a full day of activities.
AWESOME SPOT!!! Great place to go with the family or go fishing with a buddy. Down side is, parking is $15 BUT it does last til 2 am so it’s an all day parking pass really. I would say it’s worth it if you’re planning a day. It has sandbars to chill out on and some deep spots if you’re trying to fish. We took our kayaks and stayed primarily on the lagoon side but it has a channel that leads into the Gulf of Mexico so if you want to go into blue water you can. We had a great time! With small-group adventures on a pontoon boat, visitors can navigate Longs Bayou and Wolf Bay to gain insight into the region's ecosystem, waters, and wildlife. Guests have enjoyed birdwatching tours spotting green herons, kingfishers, pelicans, terns, osprey, and even baby dolphins.
We went out with Captain Skip yesterday on the shrimping / nature tour!! What a fun afternoon!! We are never too old to learn!! He was full of interesting information!! We caught shrimp, crab, clams, squid, a lot of different little fish…saw lots of fowl and dolphins! What a beautiful day and lots of fun!!
Kris W — Google review
The highlight of our trip! True knowledge and a passion for the area from a local. We loved that it was a small group tour, so more intimate. We learned so much and enjoyed every minute of our cruise. Grateful that we saw everything advertised and more- oysters, crabs, shrimp, a pufferfish, and a bonus close up encounter with dolphins. Strongly recommend meeting Capt. Skip and taking his tour!
Arielle T — Google review
We took our 4 and 1 year old grandsons on the trip and it was absolutely perfect. Capt Skip is so knowledgeable about the area and it's marine life. This is the best tour we have been on while visiting Orange Beach and totally worth doing. We saw dolphins playing around the boat, we pulled up crab traps and got to learn about the crabs. Then Capt Skip threw out the shrimp net which was fascinating to watch how it works. When the net was pulled it was full of shrimp and many different kinds of fish. The kids loved that part and Capt Skip explained everything in the net as he put them into an aquarium on the boat. Don't forget to bring a small cooler we were able to bring a ton of shrimp home with us. Cannot recommend this tour enough. Book it, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Captain Skip this was the highlight of our trip to Orange Beach...
Fiona B — Google review
Not one to really go online and review things but this one I had to, Captain Skip was great! We did the combo trip, our young girls loved learning about all the local wildlife and Skip had their full attention while sharing his wealth of knowledge with us. From learning about oysters to, blue crabs, to shrimp and the numerous other fish that came up in the shrimping net. Can’t forget about the amazing experience getting to see numerous dolphins that joined us for our shrimping expedition! Lastly we got to use our freshly caught shrimp to go fishing, which I must say we all thoroughly enjoyed! We caught a couple red fish, pin fish, croakers, and catfish. Which our youngest was so proud to have battled on her line all by herself. This trip and all the smiles it brought was well worth to money and was one of the highlights of our short trip to Alabama. Thank you Captain Skip for a great family experience and for the family vacation memories!
Lee L — Google review
We took our three boys out with Captain Skip, and I can’t recommend it enough! We did the combo trip, and it was the perfect mix of learning, adventure, and fun. The boys were completely engaged from the start — Skip was great at teaching them about the local wildlife, from oysters and blue crabs to shrimp and all the fish that came up in the net. The highlight for all of us was seeing the dolphins swim alongside the boat while we were shrimping — absolutely magical! Then we got to use our freshly caught shrimp to go fishing, which was a huge hit. The boys caught several fish and were so proud of their catches! Captain Skip was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience educational and exciting. This was hands down one of the best parts of our trip to Alabama. If you’re looking for something unique and family-friendly, this is it. Thank you, Captain Skip, for giving our boys a day they’ll be talking about for a long time!

I can’t say enough about our experience with Skip and this tour! He took his time to show us all kinds of creatures and educate our whole group on each thing we saw! We pulled out crabs, shrimp, oysters, all kinds of little fish, jelly fish, a puffer fish and we even saw dolphins who followed our boat for over 30 minutes! He took his time and his passion alone makes this worth the trip. I would pay double what he charged for this experience if I came back! We came from Nebraska and this was hands down the best memory from our entire trip. 500/10 recommend!

Took the family shrimpin' with Captain Skip. It was a fantastic experience, and at a price that was affordable. I'd recommend it to anyone. The kids loved the experience and the dolphins! This is a great family activity. Thanks Captain Skip!

We’d been birding a few days in Gulf Shores and Dauphin Island. We arranged a 2 hour charter with Captain Skip on his 6 passenger pontoon boat to see birds from the water side. He took us on a fascinating tour up an estuary off Wolf Bay, where we saw green herons, kingfishers, etc. In the bay we saw the usual gulls, pelicans, terns, osprey - and even a baby dolphin. Also enjoyed the crabbing demo. A terrific afternoon. Captain Skip is safety oriented and provides informative commentary - highly recommend.

The Ferris Wheel at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama is a prominent landmark along the Gulf Coast. Standing at 112 feet tall, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area including state parks, backwaters, and bayous. With 24 gondolas capable of holding up to 140 people, it's one of the largest Ferris wheels in the Southeastern United States. Visitors can enjoy themed nights during summer and a nightly Spectra laser light show for added entertainment.
We had a great time riding the Ferris wheel! The Lazer show and music was superb. Go ride!
Billy M — Google review
Such a fun and relaxing ride with gorgeous views, especially around sunset. It’s one of those simple experiences that makes you feel like a kid again smooth ride, great breeze, and just the right height to take everything in without feeling nervous. The staff was friendly and made the process super easy, and everything felt safe and well-maintained. Whether you’re with family, friends, or just want a peaceful solo ride, it’s totally worth the few bucks. A perfect little moment during our trip, definitely recommend stopping by if you’re at The Wharf!
Uchizi P — Google review
The ferris wheel operator was really nice. Ticket lady could be replaced by a machine. The "gondola" we sat in made a strong pop while we were going around. I'm ready for the end... the wife, on the other hand, is in tears, trying to hold it together. Not a good experience for someone that has trust issues with "carnival" attractions.

The wharf in orange beach AL. Is a great place to enjoy your evening. The Ferris wheel is a lot of fun and a great place to view the laser show that happens several times nightly.

8.00 a person is maybe just a bit steep for 4 or 5 times around, but the experience will be remembered by the kids, so worthwhile. Folks were friendly and we walked right on, so no complaints about all that. Enjoyed it

It was fun. $8 and they take you around about 5 times. The actual wheel seems to be a little old, but Id do it again for the price.

Closes promptly at 8 PM on Sunday night, so plan ahead. Great fun and lots of views. Ride is very smooth and gentle (even with a firm breeze), so the unsure and queezy folks should not worry.

Great experience, only down side was we only got one full loop without it stopping to load or unload passengers, so we spent most of the time just sitting still.

Theme park
Tropic Falls at OWA is a vibrant theme park and tropical-themed water park that offers an array of entertainment for visitors of all ages. The theme park features 22 diverse rides, including thrilling roller coasters and classic spinning tea cups, as well as engaging games and entertaining shows. Meanwhile, the indoor water park provides a bustling atmosphere with its exciting waterslides and tranquil lazy rivers. Despite being slightly crowded during peak times, the outdoor water area is highly praised for its fantastic attractions.
We caught a really rare day at the park on a Friday. No crowds, every ride open and operational, friendly and courteous staff and a great last day to end our beach vacation. Pricing was amazing. Quality of the food and park was perfection. Thank you OWA for such an amazing experience for me and my partner. No notes, nothing could have been better or improved!

We spent the day with our family and we all had fun. They have a lot of rides for kids 42inches and taller, I didn’t see many for kids under that but a bunch of them were closed. A few big rides for the big kids too. The kid zone in the water park is a nice size and well kept and overseen. The lazy river is pretty small and narrow, a lot of bumping into people. Tons of leg guards on duty which is great. Ample seating areas with tables and chairs. Slides are nice but had a long wait and I saw a few upset teens/adults about being weighed in front of everyone. Wave pool is really spacious but I was confused why the waves stop for a period of time. Overall it was a fun experience but it is pretty expensive at $60 a ticket. Parking was free and there’s tons of places to go that are onsite.
Maegan — Google review
Amazing break from the rough water at the beach. Indoor waterpark is clean and safe. Lifeguards are all vigilant. Food is good and they have adult beverages as well. Fun for the whole family. We will absolutely build this into all Gulf Shores beach trips.
Kurt J — Google review
We went yesterday and had a great time! I would give it a 5 star if it weren’t for one thing. Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes just for a tube for the slides just to wait another 15 or so minutes for the ride itself. Other parks I’ve been to have plenty of tubes for everyone needing one. Be prepared for this. Other than this and a not so wavy wave pool, we really throughly enjoyed ourselves. I love it being mostly indoors. We were already scorched from being at the beach the days before so this was nice having a break from the sun and still have fun.
Varissa A — Google review
We went for the haunted house. Kids had a blast. There were no waits for any rides. Not sure because it’s off season in October but no line no wait meant no fuss. I didn’t like that I couldn’t just get a spectator pass. Everyone who enters must pay full admission. Would revisit.
JOSEPH T — Google review
I’ll leave a 5 STAR BUT Providing a single overall review would be unfair due to the mixed experience we had at OWA. While we generally had a good time, there were some issues that need attention. WATERPARK & AMUSEMENT: 5/5 The facilities were clean and well-maintained, contributing to an enjoyable experience. FOOD: 3/5 The food was overly greasy and pricey. It would be beneficial to offer healthier options, such as fruit cups, vegetables, or salads, especially considering the physical activities offered. A more competitive pricing strategy, similar to other downtown establishments, could also enhance the overall experience. STAFF: 3/5 The staff's attitude and behavior were inconsistent. While some were friendly, others were rude and displayed short tempers. For instance, one staff member operating a slide was particularly harsh with children, yelling and handling them roughly. This behavior is unacceptable and requires immediate attention. In contrast, the amusement park workers were excellent, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm. SLIDE LINES: To improve the efficiency of the slide lines, I suggest implementing a color-coded system to guide visitors to the correct lines and prevent confusion. Overall, our family enjoyed the experience despite some negative aspects. We hope that our feedback will be taken seriously and prompt necessary improvements. We appreciate the opportunity to have visited OWA and look forward to a better experience in the future. Thank you for allowing our family to enjoy some indoor/outdoor fun before our kids started school! ❤️❤️

This place was so much fun! We went on the Navy Federal day there was so many people that we weren't able to try alot of the games or rides but it was a blast. The only reason I give it 4 stars is their prices are so high on things especially inside the shops.

As the crisp air of October and November settles in, Gulf Shores comes alive with its vibrant Shrimp Fest, a highlight among fall festivals. This lively event is not just about shrimp; it’s a delightful blend of art, music, shopping, and family fun. With activities for kids to enjoy—like face painting and free snow cones—there's something for everyone. Attendees can savor delicious local cuisine while exploring various food tastings that showcase the area's culinary gems.
Had a wonderful time at the shrimp fest. Used the shuttle service, allowed for trips in and out with ease. Just thought there would be a better food selection, plenty of vendors, but mostly offered same types of things. Needed more boiled and steamed options as well. Will definitely go again

A fantastic place to go to look for arts and crafts. There are two different stages to hear music. There are many different food vendors. They need to be careful, saw one vender that was all set up with food on display and a great space be kicked out because they did not have a business license. He should have been just fined. You can also go to the beach just short walk.

Gulf Shores Dog Park is a top choice for dog owners visiting Alabama, offering a fantastic off-leash experience for furry companions. The park boasts waterfront access, an agility course, and ample space for dogs to frolic and play. Additionally, there are other options in the area such as Unleashed in Orange Beach and The Dog Pond at Lake Shelby in Gulf State Park. These parks provide fenced areas where dogs can roam freely while their owners relax on benches.
Such a nice dog park! Two different fenced sections for the dogs to run. Water troughs for dogs to drink from, toys in buckets for them to play with. LOTS of running room and even tennis balls to play with. Trash cans with small poop bags available, PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG’S restroom deeds. Sitting room for the dog owners as well.

We had the pleasure of taking Diesel, a yellow lab, to the dog park frequently while at the Gulf Shores this past month. On our last visit he found a “swimming hole” and became a part yellow/chocolate lab. Chris, an employee there, came to our rescue and made available to us a hose with running water to make it less painful to put him in the car for the ride home. Thanks so much Chris! You went above and beyond!

This is a very nice park. There’s a small dog enclosure with a comfortable sitting area for pup parents, and a much larger one that includes two separate seating areas. We've never had any issues here—the park is always clean and well-maintained. They provide waste bags, so please be sure to clean up after your pup. Fresh water and bowls are also available. We've met some really nice people while Murphy plays. The police station is located right across the street, which adds a sense of security. The only downside is that parking is limited.

First time we've visited the GS Dog Park, but not the last. Very clean, well maintained, and the most welcoming "regulars!" Pelham enjoyed stretching her legs and getting all the good sniffles, and I enjoyed the friendly company of the other dog moms and dad's.

Nice places for your 🐕 clean and we and my baby girl loved it. We need one in Somerville Alabama. Decatur Alabama for the animals to be able to play in we have one in common but it's 30 40 miles away they need to add more for the animals to be able to have a good time and for people to enjoy their animals and get them outside. it's also nice for people that travel like I was when I come through coming to Gulf Shores I found this dog park and took my dog there.
Regina V — Google review
New residents to Gulf Shores, we found this dog park on our first day. A great amount of space and shaded areas. Nice seating areas as well! In a very short amount of time, I have met some amazing 2-legged and 4-legged individuals! 🙂 However, I am going to come as early as possible. There is a group of elders who come and act as though they own the park. Pardon my French...Old Biddies. Quite rude and bossy. They were not following park rules and parking where it was clearly notated "No Parking". Blaming us for holes dug, that our dogs did not dig. I have lived at many beaches, one in particular where elders would meet daily at 10AM with their pups, 20 to 30 at a time. It was always fun, enjoyable, and friendly. I will avoid going during the time these Biddies typically come to this park when I can. Other than that, it is a wonderful dog park and easily accessible. I am so pleased to have found it and have access to it. YAY!

Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, meaning "safe harbor" in French, spans 11 square miles and is a stunning preservation of the Gulf Coast's natural environment. The refuge is home to a variety of wildlife including foxes, ospreys, otters, alligators, blue herons, and sea turtles. Visitors can explore four trails that offer scenic views through maritime forest and scrub/dune habitats. The Pine Beach Trail provides beautiful vistas and leads to the beach.
When we arrived, we had no problem finding a parking space. There is no fee to use the hiking trails, but pets or bicycles are not allowed. We hiked the Pine Beach Trail(4 miles out and back). (A portable restroom is located along the trail). We really enjoyed walking through the maritime forest and scrub/dune habitat. There is an observation tower where you can view Gator Lake and Little Lagoon. We spotted a Blue Heron wading in Gator Lake. When we reached the end of the trail, we enjoyed the pristine sand dunes, white sandy beach, and beautiful green water(Gulf of Mexico). We spotted a bird nesting on the beach. If you are a nature lover, you will enjoy the diverse scenery this wildlife refuge has to offer.

I love this place. I will return every time I'm in the area. Don't sleep on it, the mile hike to the look out is easy with the most beautiful view, lots of shade and an outhouse. If you want more challenging keep going to make it to the secluded beach and difficult sand terrain hiking in the sun, but worth it and makes that dip in the water so refreshing!
Kelsey S — Google review
Beautiful place, great atmosphere it happened that it was a sunny beautiful day as it had been extremely cold during the week, this made for perfect hiking weather, we did the Pine Beach Trail and let me say there is so shortage of beautiful views. Yes I keep using that word but for good reason. It was nice to see something different then end up right on the beach. Definitely loved the landing overlooking Gator lake. The water in the lagoon was pretty spectacular as well also seeing the remnants of the houses that were taken by Fredrick in 1979 was neat. One pretty trail and not much trash which is a plus. Kudos to a well kept trail.
Ryan B — Google review
A beautiful place for a walk! Winding trails through scenic lake and dune views that lead to a gorgeous beach. Very clean and quiet area as well. We were there for several hours and only encountered a few other people on the trails. We didn't manage to spot any alligators in Gator Lake, but it was still a lovely, peaceful day in nature.
Maria V — Google review
We walked the Gator trail. The trail stopped near the lake where the boardwalk was closed. Unable to walk the Centenial trail as it was closed too. We walked about 1.5 miles total. I would suggest waiting until the park is completely open before heading out there. If you do go the trails are sand, so select your shoes wisely.
Teresa V — Google review
Always do a hike here every time I'm in the gulf. It's a gorgeous park with plenty of wildlife. In October there's monarch butterflies and migratory birds in November. Summer months are hot, but still lots of things to enjoy, not to mention the peace and quiet. I will say I hope they get the boardwalks repaired soon. Drastically cuts into the distance.
Z F — Google review
Great family hike through the sand pine and mossy oak. Plenty of interesting fact placques a nice covered Vista of the lagoon. The dune areas are well maintained and the beach was worth the walk to the end of the path. If you are looking for an activity for a break from the sun you should wear pants and a long shirt. Half of the hike is in the open on the dunes.
Ryan D — Google review
I walked along the Pine Beach Trail, going about 2 miles from a pine forest to the Gulf Beach. The trail was well maintained and fairly empty, I saw less than 20 people the entire time I was there. The beach was gorgeous, definitely worth the hike. There were a few benches along the trail to rest or take off your shoes. The first mile of the trail was crushed gravel, the last bit was beach sand.

The park is part of the Alabama Coast Birding Trail, making it an ideal spot for birdwatching. Additionally, the park's boardwalk is accessible for jogging strollers and younger children.

Wade Ward Nature Park is a hidden gem for nature lovers and explorers alike! 🐦🌿 This wetlands park offers paved and boardwalk trails that wind through a serene marshland. It's like stepping into a peaceful wilderness right in the middle of civilization. Keep those binoculars ready because wildlife is abundant—birds galore and, if you're lucky (or daring enough), you might spot some alligators lurking! 🐊 We didn't encounter any gators this time—perhaps they were taking a day off due to the cool weather. Instead, we enjoyed spotting several beautiful birds and soaking in the calm atmosphere on a crisp morning walk. Fort Morgan RV Park is a quaint and peaceful campground located near the beach. The park offers laundry and shower facilities, as well as a dog park. It is ideal for those who prefer seclusion and relaxation over crowded resorts with pools and playgrounds. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the large pier equipped with two fish cleaning stations, while nature lovers will enjoy the stunning sunrises and sunsets.
Even though Fort Morgan RV Park is still under construction, it’s already a great place to stay. The sites are spacious and well laid out, with clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. They offer kayak and golf cart rentals, which made exploring and relaxing even more fun. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming, and the location is perfect for enjoying the beach and nearby attractions. We’re excited to come back and see the progress. It’s already a hidden gem.

I like to be away from the touristy area. This was PERFECT. The only RV park in area that I found that wasn't HUGE. Very quaint, well maintained, clean park. It's still undergoing some renovations and wow is it nice. Great pier, saw several people catch fish. 10/10 recommend. There's not a pool but that wasn't a big deal for us. We stayed in site 9 but I feel #8 is best one unless you want to back up for that bay view with NO shade😖 There are some great restaurants near that aren't overpriced. Take a day tour Fort Morgan, bring beach chair/umbrella & snacks... beach is nice & not crowded & part of admission to Fort.

We just stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and it was possibly the best experience we have ever had camping. They have been making a lot of improvements but have still maintained the classic feel this place has always had. They have kayak rentals and dinners cruises/ fishing charters coming soon. Whether you want shade all day or a spot right on the water they have something for you and the new bath house is unbelievable. This was our second time staying here and will definitely be back. Highly highly recommend.

Newly renovated RV park. Clean, new gravel sites. Very quiet, peaceful, and we enjoyed our weeklong stay. Park is still under construction so unsure if it is in the plans but it is very dark at night and some lights would be a nice improvement on corners if you are walking dogs to the dog run. Beach on the bay was nice to sit on but could not wade in the water. No complaints, would stay here again.

Absolutely incredible! We stayed here last year for Memorial Day before all of the upgrades. We enjoyed it then, but agreed updates were needed. We had followed along with the progress through social media, but, wow, you have to see it in person! To see the hard work that everyone was putting in as they put finishing touches on welcoming everyone for a busy weekend was incredible. The new bathhouse will make you want to remodel your own at home! And the upgrades to the dock! Kayaks, sandy beach with chairs, and more! We are thrilled about the upgrades and are very much looking forward to coming back!

Mixed Experience – Needs Improvement in Key Areas My spouse and I stayed at this property for six nights last week and, while there were certainly aspects of the stay that we appreciated, several issues significantly impacted our overall experience. One of the most disruptive concerns was a persistent noise disturbance (partying neighbors), which we reported during our stay. Unfortunately, despite notifying the staff, the issue was not resolved and negatively affected our ability to rest and enjoy the space. At one point, the neighbors were PEERING IN THE WINDOWS of our 5 and 6 year old children and making faces at them while they tried to sleep. Another point of frustration was the billing discrepancy. The final amount charged was higher than the rate we had originally received at the time of booking, and our attempts to get clarification have yet to be addressed. Lastly, one of the main reasons we chose this property was the advertised complimentary laundry facilities. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find these were unavailable due to renovations. This forced us to spend nearly $50 at a local laundromat, which added both inconvenience and unanticipated cost to our trip. Given these issues — especially the lack of response regarding the noise and billing concerns, and the unavailability of promised amenities — we feel the experience fell short of expectations. We hope the management will address these matters more effectively in the future.

Nestled within a vibrant park that features a beach, this spacious pavilion can be reserved at an affordable rate, making it perfect for family gatherings. If not booked, it's available for spontaneous picnics while kids enjoy nearby sports fields. The park boasts an impressive wooden playground that encourages climbing and exploration, although some little ones may wish for more slides.
Very nice park. The Christmas lights are great!

Visiting from out of town. Smooth court and goals. The entire complex has many different options for families and out of towners.

I visited the skate park. Excellent selection of mini-ramps, banks and open area to skate. Well kept. No holes in the concrete or signs of neglect. I'll be back!

We have been utilizing this pavilion for years. For a very reasonable fee you can reserve the pavilion for birthday parties (which we have done more than once), and a nice wooden playground is located right next to it. If it is not reserved, then the pavilion is open at any time, which is nice if you need a place to eat lunch while your kids are playing baseball or soccer next door.

Great little park with a large wooden playground area and a skatepark.

This park was great while visiting the beach with kids. Lots of climbing and exploring plus a few slides. My kids were disappointed there weren't many slides, but they still had fun climbing and jumping plus exploring. Lots of great shade and lighted well at night.

Susan's art is alive, spirited. There is a freedom of movement in each piece that whisks you along, prompting flashes of memory, uninhibited dancers, flaming sunsets, wild animals in flight. I was reluctant to leave her studio, to leave the action she has captured. J. Dean 3/12/16
