National park
Park
Timanfaya National Park is a captivating volcanic landscape in Lanzarote, offering regulated access for visitors to explore by camel, on foot, or via coach tours. The park boasts the only known geysers in Europe outside of Iceland and features an intriguing geothermal restaurant. It's a must-visit destination that will make you feel like you're exploring the moon with its eerie and breathtaking scenery.
Great experience. Camel ride cost less than €12 for about 20 minutes up and down the mountain. Kids really enjoyed it. Would recommend. Camels looked very well cared for. Tour guide was a very pleasant man.

I had an unforgettable experience at Timanfaya National Park—it truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The bus tour through the volcanic landscapes was both thrilling and a little bit scary, making it all the more exciting. Driving through the craggy lava fields, it felt like stepping into another world—black volcanic rock stretching as far as the eye can see, smoke gently rising from the earth, and the contrast of the bright blue sky above. As the day shifted and shadows grew, the landscape took on a mysterious, almost otherworldly beauty. After the tour, we planned to try the restaurant famous for cooking food using volcanic heat. Unfortunately, it was closed when we arrived. However, the staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help us. They checked the kitchen and graciously prepared two plates of food just for us. I am especially grateful to the gentleman who made this wonderful experience possible. Everywhere you look in Timanfaya National Park, the scenery is breathtaking—the interplay of lava, sky, and sunlight makes you feel like you’ve been transported to another planet. The combination of thrilling tours, incredible natural beauty, and warm, helpful people makes visiting Timanfaya an experience you will never forget. If you have the chance, you absolutely should go—you’ll be amazed.

Timanfaya National Park Perfect place for all the family. Take the bus around the volcano and the larger volcanic fields. GeasersI recently visited Timanfaya National Park 🌋 and it was an amazing experience for everyone! Taking a bus tour around the volcano and vast volcanic fields gave me a real appreciation for the unique landscape. I was fascinated by the raw power of nature, which is on display everywhere in the park. It's a fantastic place for the whole family, with something to amaze all ages. I would highly recommend visiting this beautiful place. #TimanfayaNationalPark #VolcanoAdventure #FamilyTrip

My daughter and I arrived on a scooter and that is definitely the way to do it - the queue for cars was long but we zipped past. The coach trip was fascinating and a really unique experience but take note - if you suffer from travel sickness, it's 40 minutes of the windiest twistiest roads you've ever been on. The restaurant with food cooked over the volcano was really nice and not pricey (which we had feared) and not too busy. For 5 stars then something would need to be done about the queuing and the entry price could be more reasonable.
Tom L — Google review
Went on a Jet2 trip. Picked up by coach collected others enroute and guide on the bus provided a wealth of information about the park. Provided with access to a limited area where you could walk and take pictures. Three course meal provided in the restaurant as the sun setting.
John T — Google review
We visited the Islet of Hilario area of Timanfaya National Park using an organized bus tour, which we booked through an online marketplace for tour guides. This option worked perfectly - there are parts of the park between the volcanoes that are not accessible privately and can only be visited on certified tour buses. The landscape is absolutely amazing, truly otherworldly. Wr’ve never seen anything like it. The remains of the volcanic eruptions that took place just 300 years ago are still breathtakingly vivid. An absolute must-see when visiting Lanzarote.
Glaeth B — Google review
Great experience, well organized, it was not dificult to buy the tickets in the entrance, just same time as if we had already tickets as there is a queue of cars for all in the entrance (at least in the day we were there). Tip: during the bus road sit in the opposite side of the driver, you will have the best view of the vulcanos.
Janaina F — Google review
Come early or after lunch to avoid queues, we came at 8:40 before opening hours. When you come by car you pay 22€ and you have a bus tour included in price and as well shows of geiser, hot oven, and grill over the pit hole. There is a souvenir shop, you need to drive further ahead to go to a museum.

Los Hervideros is a stunning natural attraction located on the rugged volcanic coastline of Lanzarote. This area is famous for its dramatic waves crashing into sea caves, creating picturesque views that are truly breathtaking. The Hervideros viewpoint offers an up-close look at the ocean's voracity as it collides with the cliffs, with paths and stone balconies providing safe vantage points for visitors to admire the landscape.
Just come here and enjoy the wonderful works of nature that constitute a true work of nature. Made of lava, surrounded by volcanoes and an ocean that shows its strength. A great place to walk along the coast and in the lava fields. Wild, harsh landscapes but so beautiful.

The sights and sounds are out of these world. Exciting trail, the view is diffrent at every turn. Please be aware that there are no public facilities, which means that some people use some corners as an open door toilet.

Absolutely recommend visiting this place! You can walk across the lava rocks and admire the incredible view of the ocean crashing against the cliffs — it’s pure power and beauty. There’s something so romantic and inspiring about it. Definitely worth a stop!
Julia P — Google review
One of the hidden gems from Lanzarote. The sound of the waves splashing onto the rocks creates a lovely scene which is very enjoyable. Absolute worth going if you travel in the area!

Excellent stop after a Timanfayo tour. Worth the drive. Beautiful rock formations and sea action. Many viewing areas and some walking but bot too serious. Plenty of free parking. lol kp

Great spot to stop by if you’re passing through the area. Friendly atmosphere, convenient location, and well worth a quick visit!

Great caves with red volcano in the background, walk 300m to the end to see two arches

I went there to photograph the location in the evening but found it challenging to do so. It is a very interesting and unusual location. It does have safety hazards so do keep a hold of your young children if you have any. I ended up photographing inland instead i.e., the sun lighting up the mountains as it approached sunset.

La Geria is a captivating region for wine enthusiasts, where local farmers have ingeniously cultivated vineyards despite the challenging climate. Since the 1700s, they have utilized volcanic chippings called picon to mulch their vines and shield them from the elements with stone circles known as zocos. The area's single road is lined with charming bodegas offering tastings and an array of local wine varieties.

Public beach
Playa de Papagayo is a renowned beach in Lanzarote, known for its stunning turquoise waters and golden sands. It's located within the Los Ajaches Natural Park, offering unspoiled natural beauty away from the touristy resort vibe. While there are no shops inside the park, visitors can enjoy a restaurant overlooking the beach. For those seeking convenience, Playa Blanca nearby offers a more traditional tourist experience with various amenities and activities.
Arrived at 7pm to see the sunset. There was plenty of parking and lots of space on the beach. We swam and played in the sea for an hour and then watched a glorious sunset. The water was clean, the currents were strong (so be careful) and there were some 2ft waves so if you have smaller children, keep them close and check the tide times. The beach also has rocks either side so again be aware of the current. I can imagine during the day the beach would get crowded but there are other options close by if this is the case. Mujeres has lots of space and is less rocky. The drive to the beach is fine, the dirt track is pretty flat. As we arrived at 7pm we also didn't have to pay the €3 entrance fee. It is a lovely place to watch the sunset but be ready to leave as climbing up the path from the beach to parking area, in the dark, wouldn't be fun.
Rob F — Google review
Visited here solely for the purpose of checking out the views which are highly rated. Access road just off the roundabout is several km long and is VERY bumpy at times so you need to be careful with your driving speed. Large car parking area so no problem getting parked (we arrived at approx. 11.00am on a Tuesday). There was a €3 charge for our car entrance fee. From the car park it's a short walk to the view point which does provide excellent views of the coastline plus you can see Fuerteventura in the distance and (presumably) a volcano or two in the opposite direction. For the best views you can walk towards the cliff edges but be aware that there are no safety barriers and the wind can be quite strong as well. The beaches here (which we didn't use) looked very nice with good access to the sea but getting down to them seemed a steepish walk from the car park area. There are a couple of eating place options but strangely I didn't notice any public toilets? Maybe I just missed them but definitely not obvious from around the viewing area and outside the eateries. Overall a nice place to visit for the views with the added bonus of good beaches. When we were leaving it was starting to get busy so obviously a popular area.
Fraser B — Google review
I visited this beach because it’s said to be the most popular on the island. The access road is several kilometers long and quite bumpy, so you need to drive carefully. Parking is no problem—there’s a large lot (€3 car entrance fee), and even when we arrived around 13:00 on a Monday, spaces were available. From the parking area, it’s just a short walk to a viewpoint with fabulous views of the coastline, and on clear days you can even see Fuerteventura in the distance. For the best photos you can walk closer to the cliff edges, but be careful—there are no safety barriers and the wind can get strong. The beach itself, however, wasn’t what we expected. The water looked dirty, it was crowded (as you can see in the photos), and getting down from the parking area involved a fairly steep walk. There are a couple of small buffets, but I couldn’t find any public toilets. Overall, I wouldn’t say this is the best beach on the island. The cliff views are beautiful, and the sea is calmer here, but if you want to swim, I’d recommend coming early in the morning before it gets busy. Personally, I prefer Playa de Janubio.
Michal Š — Google review
Great place for a big open water swim, managed 1300 metres at this beach which is 600m long. This is the first of three beaches at this location, you can only access it by foot by walking across a mountain path behind hotel sandos. There are no life guards, go in a strong pair of walking shoes and use a tow float when swimming. Keep away from rocks as people fish from them. Water is very clean and sandy beach easy to get in and out.
Mayo M — Google review
Stunning natural beach with surrounding cliffs! It takes a bit going down and up by man made steps but it's totally worth it. If you're in Lanzarote, this is a must see area. Entrance is 3e only so not a big deal. There's a restaurant if you want to eat or drink at the top of the cliff, but it is expensive. Considering there's no mains power or water, everything is supplied through the generator so no wonder it's expensive.
Dudo47ZG — Google review
✅️Pros: •Gorgeous golden sand and crystal-clear water •Protected cove with relatively calm swimming •Excellent spot for snorkeling and enjoying marine life •Stunning natural scenery, perfect for photos ⚠️Cons: •Access road is unpaved; drive carefully ~3-5 kilometers •National Park entrance fee: €3 per vehicle (I think the evening hours are free..) •Very limited shade; bring umbrella, water, and snacks (There is a small restaurant btw.) •Can get crowded during peak hours •Not ideal for small children or people with mobility issues, as you have to descend a long staircase to reach the beach. (50-60 meters long stair) 😉Tips: •Visit during sunset for breathtaking views •Bring sun protection, water, and snacks •Wear comfortable shoes for walking on rocky paths to the beach
Péter Á — Google review
A very nice beach and good for swimming, just be careful if snorkeling around the rocks if the sea is rough as it's like getting stuck in a washing machine when the waves push in and go out, you can get washed into the rocks! Be aware there are fairly steep steps to access the beach if you are less mobile. 3 euros charge per car to enter the national park and a bumpy but fun gravel track journey to the beaches but it seemed to be free entry later in the day when we left.
David M — Google review
20min drive on the bumpy potholed gravel road to get to the mediocre beach...just go somewhere else, there are more beaches on the Lanzarote and Fuertaventura that dont wreck your car while getting to them. There is no shower or toilet on the beach and no shade, only two bars and a ice cream shop overlooking the beach...we came in the afternoon so we did not have to pay anything to get in to the beach.

Charco Verde, also known as Lago Verde or the Green Lagoon, is a natural wonder located in the small fishing village of El Golfo in southern Lanzarote. The lagoon's waters have a distinctive green color caused by phytoplankton and various minerals and microorganisms. Surrounded by ebony cliffs and the ocean, it offers a unique sight with sunbeams glistening on its olive green surface.
DON’T GO WITH GOOGLE WEIRD NAVIGATION Firstly go to El Golfo, and then a cool view point near El Siroco Cafe 🙌🏻 For me the view point worst much more than National Park and the lake :)
L A — Google review
Interesting orgin explained on nearby view point info graphics, but in fact nothing really very special. You will see exactly the same view from above as on hundreds of pictures on the web. Close riffs and sea waves were better 😉
Martin Š — Google review
Beautiful green pond (lake?) and black volcanic sand, with crashing waves...for the best view, park near Siroco coffee shop and walk to the viewpoint!
Matija M — Google review
The green lagoon was a part of the Timafaya tour. Beautiful scenery.
Anita T — Google review
Very interesting to see, I recommend visiting in the early hours. Personally, I came earlier, thus ensuring a parking space. When we left, a big crowd started to form... Next to the parking lot there is also a bar with a small shop and souvenirs, as well as toilets for an extra charge. The walk to the viewpoint is short, but a little steep, I recommend slightly more suitable footwear than flip flops.
Zala — Google review
Nice to see for at least one time! A good spot if there are no cloud for a nice sunset
Karlo — Google review
For finding this place, enter "Charco de Los Clicos" into the Navigation. ;) Besides from that, it is easy to reach with a car, has free entrance and free parking. There is a small trail 10 Minutes to walk to the viewing point (also good for older people: my mother is 70 J. old and not good on feet). There is also a trail below directly next to Altantic Ocean where you can get closer to the Green Lake. Those who want to do hiking also can walk straight to Los Hervideros (about 1.5 h). Recommendable.
Sarina A — Google review
It's nature, not so sure how you can rate it by stars. Finding this place is obnoxious on my Google maps, I kept having glitches and bringing me to Green Lake Jr. For parking, just type in Siroco Coffee Shop and go there. They have a large parking lot and it is just a few minutes walk up a pathway to view the green lake. Alternatively, you can just head to El Golfo, find parking anywhere there and walk to the lake viewing area.

A great place to enjoy the island’s charm and a truly relaxing beach experience!

Nice sized beach right near to the promenade which has lots of shops, bars & restaurants. We were lucky to come here when it was less busy and got a nice view of the sun which was huge and low.
DrowzOnly — Google review
This was the beach we enjoyed the most during our holiday. It is not busy, there is a lots of place. Snorkelling is also possible we even spot an octopus, along with several types of fish. With the ferrys coming to the port, they bring some real big waves which is a lot of fun. There are 2 lifeguard present, and they really care for the people.
Zoltán L — Google review
Small charming beach , plenty of shops and restaurants directly behind , which means you could do some shopping and after ,you could jump straight on to the sand and in to the water 💦. Usually not busy as most people go for bigger beaches in area. Looks especially beautiful if you wait until sundown.
Tony M — Google review
Nice small beach, it was not crowded at all (in January). The lifeguard warns you if a ferry will make big waves, take it serious, the 2nd would have taken our bags and towels if we don't move. Water is clear.
Norbert N — Google review
very nice walk at the seafront, wild nature. The day we went there the sea was a bit rough and it was windy, but all beautiful. If you like shopping, this is also a good place. Plenty of restaurant and bars as well.
Dennis Z — Google review
Nice area with plenty to do and as well as eat and drink we visited Playa Blanca for the market and again just to walk around and get some food and have a few drinks
Derrick L — Google review
Overall this resort has seen better days. There is a really nice harbour/promenade along the seafront with the former undergoing major building work. Once you venture up the steps (or ramp) to The tourist area of the town centre, your greeted by many boarded up stores and few which are left, mainly selling the same tat. This resort has much room for improvement but until then it’s nice but not brilliant. The highlight is definitely the promenade with it little shops and restaurants, access to a little sandy beach and amazing views across to Fuerteventura.

10Salinas de Janubio

Salinas de Janubio offers an interesting and fun tour through the salt flats. The knowledgeable guides provide insights into the workings of the salines, making the experience worth it despite the slightly higher cost. Visitors can enjoy a salt tasting and purchase various salt products at reasonable prices from the on-site shop. The tour is both informative and personal, providing a close-up look at the history and process of salt production.
Salinas Janubio When we decided to visit the Salinas Janubio, we were not sure what to expect. I have always loved the view of the Salinas as we passed it on the road to and from Playa Blanca and was really intrigued about the process to extract salt from the sea. We looked on their website, to see the timings of the tours and saw they did them four times a day. We arrived at the Salinas early, as we were not quite sure where we were going. We found it very easily, following the signs from the road. They have a good sized car park so there were plenty of spaces. I think that you would be able to walk from the La Hoya bus stop, if you went by the 60 bus. It would only be a 10 to 15 minute walk. There was a really nice lady behind the counter, at the shop, who sold us two tickets for the tour. She said we could wait outside and the person directing the tour would be with us at 2pm. She also advised us to have a hat, suncream and water for the tour, as it lasts for an hour and a half and the sun is very hot there. At exactly 2pm a gentleman came to collect us and introduced himself as Martin. Martin spoke very good English and was extremely knowledgeable about the Salinas and made the tour absolutely fascinating. He was very patient with me, even when I asked lots of questions, he answered every one fully. He was so passionate about the Salinas, it was catching, the more we found out, the more we wanted to know. Both my husband and I really enjoyed the tour and will definitely go back to see it again. Finding out about the history, where the water comes into the Salinas, how it gets to the various parts of the salinas and why, the process, different types of salt and introducing us to the local celebrities (Ducks & Stilts) and the mafia (seagulls}The time flew by, excuse the pun. At the end of the tour, we were a bit sad because we wanted to carry on talking to Martin about the place but Martin then said that he had organised a tasting of some of their salts, so that cheered us up. We went to a room beside the shop and had tried 3 different salts, one being the very special salt, Flore de Sal, which takes a whole year to make. We also tried a glass of the wine made in Geria especially for the Salinas, called 'Real' it was so nice that we bought two bottles, from the shop afterwards, along with various salts. The shop had many different products on sale, as you can imagine. Lots of flavoured salts, cooking salt, salt in pretty boxes, salt in jars and the famous Flore de sal, sold in different sizes. Apart from that were the soft drinks, wine, beers, water, ice-cream etc. They also have a cafe, so if you don't fancy a tour it's a lovely place to go to for a quiet coffee, tea, beer or wine. They also sell snacks. It's a wonderful, peaceful place to go just to sit quietly, and contemplate life. I would not recommend the tour for anyone with walking difficulties, some of the paths were a little uneven. All in all a fantastic time.

We came to Salinas de Janubio after frustrating 2.5hrs of waiting to enter the Timanfaya National Park so at first we were reluctant to pay another ~€80 to visit it. The plan was to take a distant look and hit the road… But we stumbled upon Brian, who made us change our minds - and it was the best decision of this day. The salt plant looks great from distance, but gets amazing when you walk through it. Brian added to that his energy and a great story of how the salt is produced, what animals leave in the salt ponds and all that finished with a tasting exercise (not only salt ;)). Time fled really quickly and the visit was worth every euro. Thanks again, Brian!

Very nice guided tour with some tasting afterwards. Also our guide did a fantastic job and was passionate about the salt making. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place to visit! It costs 22 euros, but it is honestly worth it! The lady doing the visit is adorable, friendly, and funny. She took the time to explain everything to us. What an amazing process to produre salt. At the end of the tour, we visited the place where they store the salt and got rewarded by a small glass of wine🍷, smoked cheese🧀, and a degustation of 3 types of salt. We received some salt as a present. I genuinely recommend visiting! 🤩

Incredible place, a MUST!! We visited the place with Vichy and it was totally worth it! The staff was super patient and welcoming, answering every question and giving us tons of curiosities to understand how beautiful the works of the salt can be. I recommend it to everyone who wants to get to know the real culture and people of Lanzarote! Truly an amazing place and amazing people!

This place is stunning. Congratulations to the family that keeps this business and tradition, as well as the brave persons who work on the salinas. With Sus as our guide, we had a wonderful experience. Sus proved to be an excellent guide: knowledgeable, with a great sense of humour and always willing to answer our questions. She was also attentive to our interests and provided information about birds and plants. At the end of the visit we were offered a tasting of delicious cheese (Faro) and 3 different types of salt with fresh and tasty tomato slices, accompanied by a surprisingly good semi dulce wine (we prefer seco). Regrettably, we could not buy any bottle as we had already collected 6 to take back home... We were offered each a charming box of salt with César Manrique's paintings. The café has lots to offer and the staff is very nice. We hope to return and visit the new planned centre. Muchas gracias, Sus! For bird watching fans: you will be able to spot the amazing Rusty shelducks, the noisy Black-winged stilts and the small seagulls.

If there is a place in Lanzarote we definitely wanted to see is this. It's unbelievable, magic. To see how something as precious as salt is made. Our guide, Vicky, know absolutely everything there is to know about salt, she explained everything very crearly and let us taste three different types of salt before presenting us with a very-much appreciated present of the product. The vibration there is very high, the scenery spectacular. Listen to me, don't miss the chance to visit if you are on the island

Marina Rubicon is a beautiful and picturesque marina with a different atmosphere compared to the main town of Playa Blanca. It offers lovely views, great shops, and a variety of excellent restaurants. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll or indulge in some shopping while admiring the stunning surroundings. The market on Wednesdays and Saturdays is particularly popular, offering plenty to see and treat oneself to.
Superb marina. Lots of good restaurants. The market on Wednesday and Saturday is very busy but fun. The shops and bars are good the rest of the time, when it is much quieter and quite a different experience. Worth walking up the hill to the fort and exploring some of the out of the way shops and bars on the way up there too.

Heard a market was on Wednesdays and Saturdays so went for a nosey. Good variety of stalls. crafts, pictures hand made items etc. Also a good variety of restaurants, some expensive some not so much. But a lovely area to walk around. Plenty boats big and small, walk out to the point. Nice shops to look at too, clothes, shoe etc. Worth taking a look. :)

Busy but found us a place to dock for two nights. Lots of good restaurants in the marina.

Enjoyed our morning out here. Lovely views and nice for a stroll. The market on Wednesdays and Saturdays is great. Loads to see and treat yourself to! Most of the nice bars and cafes are right on the marina itself, not much else to do if you walk out too far.

Restaurant
Restaurante El Diablo is a unique dining experience located in the heart of Timanfaya Park, an area formed by volcanic eruptions. Designed by renowned architect Cesar Manrique, the restaurant offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding volcanoes and rock formations. What sets this eatery apart is its method of cooking - using the natural heat rising from the volcano to grill meat and fish dishes. Guests can even witness their meals being cooked in this extraordinary manner.
We did the Timanfaya by night and ate a set meal at Restaurante El Diablo. The atmosphere was out of this world. The staff were very attentive and the service was excellent. The food, although it looked dry (possibly due to being cooked over the volcano) was tender and juicy. It was a fantastic experience and well worth the price.
Craig A — Google review
Arrived too early for service (~0930) but we were able to buy drinks (coffee, juices, soft drinks, beer) and snacks (chips, pastries, etc) from the counter, take a look at the restaurant and view the food they were starting to cook with the volcano’s heat. This would be a great place to dine for the view and “cooked over a volcano” experience … at a price significantly less than similar experience in Iceland! Also bathrooms were spotless, not always true in tourist locations (for you ladies’ info)
Cruisinforfulltime — Google review
Dining at Restaurante El Diablo was a truly memorable experience. The setting is absolutely stunning, perched amidst a stark, otherworldly volcanic landscape, it offers panoramic views that are as dramatic as they are beautiful. Cooking over geothermal heat adds a unique touch that perfectly matches the surreal environment. The food itself was very good, with well-balanced flavors and fresh ingredients. That said, a slight criticism: a couple of dishes could have arrived a bit hotter temperature wise. It didn’t detract too much from the overall enjoyment, but with such a fiery theme, expectations are naturally high in that regard. All in all, a fantastic and atmospheric place to dine, highly recommended for the experience alone.

Great ambience and decorations Staff very friendly and helpful The food was disappointing - dry and cold despite being cooked with the volcano heat. The risotto was really good. However, we were unable to finish the chicken due to lack in seasoning , cold and being dry. I advice you to serve your meals hot for your costumers moving forward. This is a really good location and outstanding views from the restaurant.

Wow, I didn't think we'd get a table at lunchtime, but we did, and we didn't have to wait long. The food was amazing, especially that chicken they cooked with the geothermal stuff. Definitely check it out when you're here. Dont miss the lava cake which crackels in mouth.

Very impressed by the bus drivers to be able to drive through the volcano road so you can see the extent of the lava fields and volcanos. This is well worth a visit. Food cooked over lava hot spots, demonstrations of the heat of the soil just meters below the surface.

Welcome to The Mars on earth, the breathtaking scenery(unique)and atmosphere, the BBQ legs from the direct heat deep from the volcano 🌋, although we waited nearly 2hours to get in, worth to wait every bit of time! Amazing experience and will always memorable this unique experience, and I am so grateful for all, thank you 🙏

The food made with Vulcano heat is one of a kind. We tried all the four options; Half chicken – 17.50 , Chicken thighs – 16.50, Pork and chicken skewer – 17.00 & Entrecôte – 22.00. The chicken thighs were the tastiest. The other ones including the garnish are forgettable. Also tried the different smoothies 5,50 each, these were freshly made so these were nice too! As dessert I had the Cold volcanic pumpkin cream with lemon sorbet – 5.50, which was okay and refreshing too. And of course the breathtaking view was amazing ! Playa Flamingo is a stunning white-sand beach that offers visitors a delightful escape with its inviting promenade, refreshing showers, and sunbathing terrace. Nestled within walking distance of the town center, it stands alongside other picturesque beaches like Playa Dorada and Town Beach, all perfect for swimming and soaking up the sun. For those seeking adventure beyond Playa Flamingo, the nearby Papagayo beaches are renowned for their natural beauty and tranquility.
Lovely little sandy beach. A great spot for snorkelling and swimming. We went on the weekend, arriving late morning. There was still plenty of space and it never got super busy. It is also empty at sunset and is a lovely spot to chill. A good selection of bars/restaurants on the promenade, plus a handy little supermarket.

Cozy beautiful beach with clear water and sandy bottom. Sand is white (artificial), very pleasant compared to the black one on the whole island. 😀 Perfect for swimming. Vibe like at Calais in Cala d‘or in Mallorca. One point less since it’s small and full of kids.

A really lovely little, manmade sandy beach. Protected by the walls the water is super calm. Whilst the western edge is a bit rocky the eastern part of the beach is 100% sandy with zero issues walking in and our of the water. Lovely soft sand. I stayed at TUI Blue Flamingo Beach which is the hotel right on this beach. It can and does get busy but not too busy. There are a couple shops, restaurants, bars, a cafe and an ice cream parlour overlooking the beach. It is served by a 13km promenade. There are no services on this beach such as toilets, changing rooms or rentable sun loungers. The mini marts have lockers you can rent.
D — Google review
Where do I even begin? We made a terrible mistake by booking our holiday at Merry Hill Store. My husband, daughter, and I were all excited to go, especially after our agent highly recommended it. We arrived late at night and were sent to a room the furthest away from anything, across a road. To make matters worse, the key cards didn’t work. I went back to reception and asked for a room closer to the front of the hotel, away from any open road. They gave me room A37, but the toilet was making noises like a T-Rex, and the shower didn’t work properly. These issues were reported on the first day. The TUI team on site, on the chat, and the hotel staff advised us multiple times that maintenance would fix it, but they never did. They didn’t even go to our room at any point. On the morning of day 5, they offered to move rooms, but it was day 5 of a 7-day stay! I was given a key for another unsafe and isolated room, just as bad as the first. The ceiling had been replaced multiple times and looked like it had been lifted and shifted out of Baghdad. There were cracked tiles everywhere that people could get hurt, and multiple chunks of concrete steps were missing from areas, leaving raised metal drains that could cut open people’s feet. The entire hotel was dirty. From the eatery to the stairs leading to the rooms, there was rubbish and hair everywhere. It was clear that the hotel needed money spent on it rather than TUI sending that money elsewhere. The food was also a major issue. There was fish in the cheesey pasta, undercooked food, and basic hygiene was missing from the dirty plates. Hair was even found in the food as it was placed on the surface. It was just disgraceful. On another day, a child was sick in the food area, and the family was not seen for a few days after. I requested a downgrade of our food option, as evidenced by the photo I have (it’s £934). Multiple placards around the hotel advertised the costs of upgrading. The place is a health and safety hazard. We’ve spent over £1000 eating out of the hotel because of its poor quality and dangerous conditions. Why can’t you downgrade if you can upgrade? It’s the same process in reverse! After speaking to other people, I discovered that the entire hotel is in the same state, and the staff are fully aware of it. The TUI rep, Dylan, offered to sort my late check-out, but it was only until 2 pm because they had others coming into our room. I asked how he could possibly put people in the room knowing its condition, but he said that was his problem to sort out if they complained. He’s sent me a link to refund me the 20 euros to the wrong mobile number, which seems like it’s been done on purpose, I’ve asked the TUI team on the app a number of times to correct this and they still haven’t. An hour until we leave, and the receptionist recommended using the ‘spa’ shower, advising us to book it quickly as they get booked up. We went down to use them, and my 9-year-old daughter and I went to the ladies’ room. Next thing, there was a crash, and the shower door came off, hitting my daughter. She slipped and fell onto the raised basin, where there was a rusty latch or screw that had broken off. She has severe bruising and is screaming. I ran to the receptionist, who said she had told the hotel and TUI staff that they were not safe repeatedly, but her advice had been ignored. This clearly indicates that despite being told that there’s clearly no care from either TUI or hotel management. The TUI manager and the deputy hotel manager came down to speak to us. I asked the hotel manager to fetch a doctor, and he got the doctor to check Scarlett’s ribs to make sure they weren’t broken. This hotel is dangerously unsafe. I’m horrified that there’s no accountability or ownership of the issues we raised. Multiple laws are being broken, and it ended with my child sustaining a serious injury. I have photos of every point I’ve made above, including the injury she sustained.

Bodega La Geria is a renowned winery in Lanzarote, known for offering tours, tastings, and a tapas restaurant. It is part of the wine route in La Geria, the most important wine region on the island. With an area of 5,255.5 hectares, it boasts the largest concentration of wine cellars in the Canary Islands.
An interesting wine and vineyard tour with a relaxed atmosphere. The guide was friendly and informative (English tour at 2pm only), sharing both the history of the winery and the winemaking process in an engaging way. La Geria is a small winery, but rich in history and character, and the local wine tasting was a nice highlight

We really liked the two wines we tried here (dry white and dry rose), also very nice views from the terrace, you can admire the vineyards… but otherwise it felt extremely commercial, it was busy with tour buses. Good parking.

Such a unique winery, as well as unique way of growing the grapes, on volcanic rocks. This is within the perimeter of a national park, which also adds to its special traits. Their wine is great, and you can learn more and visit the compounds with a guided tour worth all the money. If your guide is Gustavo, you’re in a for great treat on storytelling. You can also have a snack, drinks there and get yourself a stash of great wine to bring home.

Came here today on a buggy tour and to be honest, it was pretty boring. It’s a very interesting way of growing the grapes, and the coffee shop was OK. The gift shop was very large but it just didn’t particularly excite anyone in our group.

Visiting **La Geria** in Lanzarote was an incredible experience. The unique way they cultivate wine in such an arid, volcanic landscape is truly impressive — a perfect example of resilience and ingenuity. There’s something absolutely beautiful about the contrast between the black volcanic soil, the green vines, and the endless horizon. The **Malvasía wine** was exceptional — rich, aromatic, and full of character, perfectly reflecting the island’s volcanic essence. It’s a place that captures both the **beauty and spirit of Lanzarote**. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it to any wine lover or traveler seeking something truly unique. 🍷🌋🍇

Playa del Janubio is a striking black volcanic beach that separates a saltwater lagoon from the ocean, making it unsuitable for swimming. The area around Timanfaya offers a surreal landscape with various volcanic formations like Montana de Fuego and Caldera del Corazoncillo. Additionally, Salinas de Janubio provides photogenic views due to its industrial use in salt extraction.
I did not have big expectations prior visiting but I changed fast my opinion. Nature and the the elements of it have created here something unique. Best sunset ever.

**Beautiful views and striking black sand.** The waves are strong, and the shore is quite rocky, making it less ideal for swimming. Families might enjoy exploring the rock pools, but the current can be noticeable due to the wave conditions.

Volcanic beach with black stones and rocks in the sea. It is not sand but it is beautiful nonetheless and the stones make for clear water. There is a quite a strong current though and waves so getting into the water is not exactly easy. We had a great time though.

✅️Pros: •Stunning black volcanic sand and dramatic scenery •Quiet, few tourists •Nearby Salinas de Janubio is perfect for photos ⚠️Cons: •Not suitable for children to swim!!! •Even strong swimmers should be very cautious of strong currents •Very limited facilities (no restaurants, shade, or showers) •Rocky/lava sections can be uncomfortable barefoot 😉Tips: •Bring water, sunscreen, and basic first aid supplies •Ideal spot for sunset photography •Wear comfortable shoes for walking on rocky areas

Playa del Janubio is a stunning black sand beach located on the island of Lanzarote, part of Spain’s Canary Islands. This beach is famous for its dramatic volcanic landscape and proximity to the Salinas de Janubio, traditional salt pans where salt has been harvested for centuries. Here are a few highlights: Features: 1. Black Sand and Volcanic Beauty The beach is composed of black volcanic sand, a result of Lanzarote’s volcanic origins, creating a striking contrast with the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean. 2. Wild and Untamed Vibes Playa del Janubio is not typically ideal for swimming due to strong currents and waves, but it is a perfect spot for photography, walking, or simply soaking in the raw beauty of nature. 3. Proximity to Salinas de Janubio The nearby salt pans are one of Lanzarote’s most iconic features, producing natural sea salt and offering a beautiful mosaic of colors, especially during sunset. 4. Peaceful Atmosphere It is less crowded than other beaches on the island, making it ideal for those seeking tranquility.

Los Charcones is a stunning natural attraction located in the southwest part of Lanzarote, near Playa Blanca. These naturally formed pools offer a picturesque setting with views of the coast and an abandoned hotel nearby. Visitors can enjoy swimming and relaxing in these beautiful pools, but it's advisable to check the tide before planning a visit. The area is known for its unique beauty, but it can get quite busy at times.
Gorgeous natural pools with crystal clear water - definitely one of the highlights of the island! The place is easy to find. I would recommend to leave your car at the parking and walk about 25 minutes to the cliff. Then you will need good sneakers and relative dexterity to walk the rocky cliff for about 10 minutes. Definitely worth it it though! I would not recommend with children.
Nathalie A — Google review
We followed directions to the abandoned hotel on Google maps. The road is very bumpy so we had to leave our rental car and walk. We then discovered some cliffs with some pools at the bottom, near the sea. However it wasn’t safe to go anywhere near the pools due to the waves. We think it was high tide because i can’t imagine how anyone can go down to the pools and not get swept away. Overall was quite interesting to see the choppy sea and massive waves but wasn’t safe. One of the pictures is of the pools when we discovered them and the next is the waves which appeared just 10 seconds after the first pictures, quite scary really!
Hannah L — Google review
The worst decision of our trip. The place is hidden, and it’s almost impossible to get close by car without damaging it. After parking, you have to cross dangerous, wet volcanic rock. My girlfriend slipped and ended up covered in cuts from the sharp rocks. The tide can completely cover the path, making it truly dangerous. Other than that, nothing special: the “pool,” if you can even call it that, lives up to its name — it’s little more than a puddle, which is why the locals gave it that name "charcones". The pictures are heavily Photoshopped.
Luis L — Google review
It’s a beautiful place, but please watch out for the waves. I was there with low tide, but the ocean is still dangerous because of the waves. So, make sure if you are gonna swim in side of the pools, let watch someone else the waves and never swim there alone!
Sam Y — Google review
Well it is a walk and a trek down but it is a fantastic tidal pool with lovely warm crystal clear water. Do not come if you are not able to clamber over boulders
Chris R — Google review
It was a real struggle to find these pools because it’s not accurately marked on Google or clearly sign-posted from the road. When you turn off the main road and drive down the dirt road to the Water management plant on the right, here you must leave your car (unless you have a Land Rover that can handle the rocky path!) and walk left on the rocky road along the coast. We followed the road for several KMs, stopping every now and then to look over the cliff to check for pools. After about 30 mins we found some stunning pools but they were almost impossible to reach by climbing down. We finally found one that we could access by climbing down the rocks but it’s not easy and not very safe. The pools themselves are gorgeous and a pleasure to swim in but it takes a whole lot of effort to get there so I wouldn’t recommend going unless you’re up for a real adventure!
Madelyn L — Google review
Great looking natural pools by the sea. 4x4 recommend if you want to get there by car, otherwise it's better to park further north and walk for 30 minutes.
Iñaki A — Google review
Beautiful spot but really quite busy when we visited which was a little unexpected. Lots of sea urchins so beware. The abandoned hotel was really cool as well. Great if you're into urbex. Access is fine, the first bit of track is the worst but no need at all for 4WD,. Risk of punctures if anything. We opted to walk in over the desert just for the experience. Full on Canarian sun but very strong breeze so you don't feel yourself burning. Sunscreen recommended.

Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort is a luxurious oceanfront retreat with multiple dining options, bars, and outdoor pools. The resort also boasts a spa and gym for guests to unwind and stay active during their stay. While the hotel has received praise for its amenities, some returning guests have noted a few areas of concern. These include the lack of bathroom accessories provided in the rooms, such as tissues, shower caps, nail files, and ear buds.
We were seriously impressed with our stay. There is a huge amount to love about this hotel, but I need to start with the staff because they are what truly make the experience. A huge shout-out to Santos, who was seriously wonderful to us and Sonny. He was so friendly, kind, full of energy, and genuinely welcoming, we actually felt quite sad when it was time to leave! Elaina was also really wonderful, always greeting us with a beaming smile and being so attentive. And the energy from Attie and Pablo was incredible. The whole team's friendliness and spirit are exceptional. The Kids Club and soft play are a fantastic feature. It gave us a few hours to have our own headspace, and every time we picked up our child, they were having a wonderful time, even on the day they arrived a little out of sorts. The entire place is immaculate, really beautifully presented, with a huge selection of pools. The rooms are clean, roomy, and have all the amenities you would need. If I had to offer one small piece of constructive feedback, the food in the pool restaurant is a little lacking. Also, there might be an opportunity for the on-site ice cream place to offer a few more savory snacks. Overall, a truly wonderful and five star stay, thank you for making this such a memorable holiday for us.

Rooms are a little dated but spacious in good repair with good quality fittings and furnishings, pillow menu, ample hot water and good air-conditioning. There is free parking and no plate charge for room sevice. Spa a little dated but better than average with sea and garden view from steam and pool. Al a carte Restaurants and gelaterie very good. Breakfast outstanding whether buffet or al a carte. Location excellent. However, there were some room servicing issues possibly due to language barriers and things like bathmat and face cloth disappearing and not replaced. Pool waiting service was absent at first but improved after raising query. We probably wouldn't stay again as unlike many other hotels in Playa Blanca it doesn't cater well for couples. For example, most nearby hotels in Playa Blanca seat families and couples or adult only groups apart where possible at breakfast or have an adult only pool area. This is puzzling when it has more pools and dining areas than most! Our last few days were ruined by a noisy family next door after occupants changed having been assured it was a quiet wing away from families. The hotel has a vast child and family activity and entertainment programme and kids. It also has a separate day and night programme for adults. Unfortunately, we didn't do anything on the the adults programme as small children were welcome to scream and screech and disrupt these activities too even as late as nearly 10pm on the karaoke. A real shame but what should have been a relaxing wasn't. Other Playa Blanca hotels even at 4 star level manage to get the balance right for all guests at about half the cost of this one...

Another lovely stay at this hotel, beautiful rooms and friendly helpful staff. We find the location midway between the harbour and the marina is excellent. The hotel is kept very clean with well maintained gardens. We enjoy the buffet meals with their enormous choice and freshly cooked fish and meats so haven’t tried the other restaurants on site. We will certainly be returning in the future and would recommend it to others.

Our 7th or 8th visit to the Yaiza. This hotel just ticks all the boxes for us. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, their aim is to give everyone the best holiday experience. The food this year was better than ever with themed meals on many evenings. We had a junior suite which is so spacious with a high level of cleanliness which was obvious throughout the hotel. We look forward to future visits to the Yaiza.

The Spanish guitarist was recommended to us for a relaxing evening of chat and drinks. He didn't disappoint, beautiful versions of recognisable classics that were easy on the ear but not overbearing. The gin and tonic was generous and the surroundings were lavish and not too overstated. It's a beautiful hotel both inside and outside.

Just back from a 10 day trip as a family of 4 with 2 children aged 4 and 2. The food and comfort of the room and sundowners were excellent. Minor issues were our phone and Hairdryer weren't working in the room but the app made it easy to report these issues. Occasionally our bottled water and coffee wasn't replaced but I'm sure if we had reported this it would have been fixed. The main issue was the lack of free drinking water and some of the waiting and pool staff didn't hold up to the customer service I would expect from a 5 star such has not coming for coffee orders or explaining what was on offer, not helping with a high chair. The entertainment staff were the highlight really, they weren't in your face but made the children feel included. Particular mentions to Pablo, Santos and Elena (apologies if spelling wrong), they were some of the few people who got high fives from my children because of how comfortable they made them feel.

We stayed at the Princesa Yaiza for 2 weeks at the end of June 2025. I read all the reviews beforehand and I would say the average review is accurate in my opinion. Having stayed at many hotels, I would describe this as a 4.5 rather than a 5L and it does feel tired in places although part of that is the rustic theme the hotel has gone for. The hotel really should address the towel situation by telling guests at check in and then having the pool managers actually enforce the rules. With all that being said, the staff were exceptional throughout. My daughter has coeliac disease and the hotel dealt with the situation admirably, particularly head chef, Raul. The location is also great.

During Christmas time, visitors can enjoy the festive atmosphere with traditional displays like el caganer and a beautiful model of Lanzarote and the Nativity.
A nice place where they celebrated Christmas, the Belen, a beautiful model of all the iconic signature buildings from the island

This is the square in the centre of Yaiza. The small town itself is missed by a lot of visitors because the main road skirts round it. However it is worth a visit. The square is picturesque and is dominated by the Chitch which is open to the public. Both are very reminiscent of Lanzarote in a bygone age.

Love coming here every year at Christmas to find el caganer... The model of Lanzarote and the Nativity are great to see... The playground is still enjoyable for the children but sad to see no crepes or gofres for sale this year... Hopefully back to normal next year!

A good insight into the life of Caesar Manrique. His restored home houses some of his paintings and other works. It is a peaceful, calming place. Also his studio is open where you can see videos of him at work.

Playa del Pozo is an isolated sandy beach surrounded by low hills, offering a serene atmosphere for swimming and sunbathing. The area features remarkable volcanic formations, creating a transcendent landscape reminiscent of another planet. Visitors can watch boats anchor in the cove and snorkel in transparent waters while enjoying the quiet lazing and reading in the sun on the light golden sand against the backdrop of volcanic rock cliffs.
Very nice beach, probably the best on papagayo coast and with almost no people besides some nudists.
Alex G — Google review
Stunning and quiet (early June). Good to swim and explore the rock pools. More nudists than the beaches either side and no facilities...but it's nice to go without and get back to nature occasionally.
Darren S — Google review
The beach itself is beautiful, with clear water that’s great for swimming. However, the strong wind often blows sand everywhere, which makes it less comfortable to relax on the shore
Michal Š — Google review
Quite nice beach. Nice sand and beautiful water. Just few people in May Parking lot beside (300m) Some people naked on the beach.
Pascal M — Google review
Great beach but only accessible by boat or walking from carpark at the amenities within natural park or a good 30 minute walk from end of Papagayo Promenade. If walking be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Interesting history and spring wells close by for anyone interested in the history of the area.
David M — Google review
A short walk downhill from the main carpark brings you to this beautiful beach that has only a handful of people on it. Yes, it's true, some were naked, but did not flaunt it and no-one seemed bothered. If you want to try out getting your kit off for the first time, then this beach is perfect if you are a bit self conscious. I'm in my mid fifties and had never done so before. It was very liberating, and because there were so few people on this stretch of beach, made it much easier not to be too body conscious and after two visits, it was great!
Paul C — Google review
The best beach on Lanzarote that you can easily access. There is a path from the Playa Papagayo parking lot, or you can walk along the beach and over some rocky area to get to this beach. This is easier in the morning due to the tide. The end of Playa del Pozo has a nude area. It’s amazing and very freeing to go into the water all naked.

This is a very beautiful beach at Papagayo. Although it’s not my favorite there, it is a very long stretch of sand where you can relax and enjoy the sea. There are 2 parkings in the back of the beach where you can easily park. Nice !

Playa Blanca is a charming coastal town that hosts the festivities in honor of the Virgen del Carmen from July 8 to 16. The week-long event program includes popular music, concerts, sports, homage to fishermen, festivals, workshops, and children's games alongside religious acts. Limones street is a must-visit for shopping and enjoying local cuisine.
The most beautiful place, our Happy Place, has so much to do. Amazing choice of restaurants and bars, some lovely shops, beautiful Marina, stunning beaches we loved it so much on our first visit 12 years ago we have now brought a holiday home in Playa Blanca

From Puerto del Carmen, the road to Playa Blanca crosses the mountains. The winding descent is exhilarating for me as the driver. Beautiful views of the mountains, curvy road, the valley below and the Atlantic Coast beyond. The area flanking the beach with shops, restaurants and accommodations is hopping. Nearby is a resort that is likely 5 star.

The last stop on the south side of the island. Nice beaches, lots of bars and restaurants, and the ferry port to isla los lobos and fuerteventura. Due to the south facing aspect, the beaches get the sun all day.

Playa Blanc Beach is definitely my favourite tourist beach on the island, its clean, slightly sheltered and has better swimming than most others as it is more in a bay. The amenities are excellent, plenty of cafés, restaurants and ice cream & Gelato stops. I regularly go there rather than go to our local beaches in Puerto del Carmen.

Playa de la Cera is a small, picturesque beach located on the Papagayo Coast. It is nestled between Playa del Papagayo and Playa del Pozo, offering visitors a variety of sandy spots to explore. The beach features honey-hued sand, clear waters, and cliffs that create a serene setting for families to enjoy.
A fantastic spot for wave enthusiasts! The sandy beach and crystal-clear waters make for a stunning setting. I've visited twice in April, and both times, the waves were perfect. As others have mentioned, there’s a €3 fee to drive in, but there’s plenty of parking conveniently located near the beach.

Nice experience + snorkeling We paid 3 Euro at the gate, few km from the beaches. The road was bumpy, felt like I was in Dakar race. There's several beaches nearby but we decided to stay at this beach. The waves are really small so its perfect for swimming and snorkeling. My friend did the snorkeling and he saw many interesting fishes. There's small cafe on the hill, not sure if they have toilets. Bring lots of water and sunscreen. Some good books or friends.

In my opinion the nicest beach in the area the sea is crystal clear and the sand is smooth and warm. If you go above to one of the vantage points you can see a myriad of blues and greens in the water like in a travel brochure

There are several beaches to choose from here. All reached by a bumpy dirt track inside a national park. You have to pay about 3 euros to enter but well worth it. The beaches nearest the car parks are the busiest and nudity is common on all of them. There is also a really cool bar with lovely staff overlooking one of the beaches.

Playa Caleta del Congrio is a stunning volcanic beach located in a protected natural area in Lanzarote. Its dark golden sand and turquoise sea create a mesmerizing contrast, while the surrounding dunes and cliffs add to its untouched beauty. This nudist-friendly beach is split into two sections by a rocky promontory, each offering a unique atmosphere.
Nice small sandy beach where you can find a lot of nudists. Through the small hill you are able to get to Playa Memos. Playa Caleta del Congrio is a secluded beach located in the southern part of Lanzarote, within the Los Ajaches Natural Park. This unspoiled beach stretches approximately 280 meters in length and 20 meters in width, offering fine white sand and clear turquoise waters. Key Features: • Natural Beauty: The beach is surrounded by picturesque dunes and cliffs, providing a tranquil and scenic environment. • Nudist-Friendly: Playa Caleta del Congrio is known for its naturist-friendly atmosphere, with a designated area for nudist sunbathers. • Activities: The calm waters make it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and other water activities. Access and Amenities: • Access: The beach can be reached by foot, car, or boat. For those driving, there is an unguarded parking lot with limited spaces available. • Amenities: There are no facilities on-site, so visitors should bring their own provisions, including food and water. A camping area is available with basic amenities such as showers, electricity, drinkable water, and small barbecues for cooking. Nearby Attractions: • Papagayo Beaches: Playa Caleta del Congrio is part of the Papagayo beach network, allowing visitors to explore neighboring beaches like Playa del Pozo and Playa de Papagayo. • Playa Blanca: The nearby town offers a variety of restaurants, shops, and accommodations for those looking to extend their stay.

Stunning, long, pristine sandy beach. Fairly sheltered from the strongest winds by a rocky facade on the left, more open on the right. Quiet when we arrived (early June) with mainly nudists along the entire stretch. No facilities on the beach, but a walk back to the car park finds a busy bar for refreshments.
Darren S — Google review
Beautiful and spacious beach with clean, clear water and great waves. Despite its size, it’s usually not crowded, though you may come acrosssome visitors who sunbathe nude. Perfect place to relax, watch the waves, and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere.
Michal Š — Google review
Not to be confused with Playa Memos next bay along.Like I did. Just keep to the right of the camping compound and park on the side away from the entrance. This place is just perfect. Almost 80% naturist. Plenty of space. Lovely soft sand, gently sloping beach into the sea. Not too many rocks in places. It’s popular with some small boats but I think they came here for the same reason we did. It’s a great place to explore walking over the headland with interesting coves all the way round to Papagayo.(Which was packed with textiles today) we spent a lovely day in the sun cooling off in the refreshing sea. We are going back tomorrow hope it’s still the same mix of people. Remember to bring your own food and drink there are no facilities here but that’s what you expect. You could always pop your clothes on and go to Papagayo where they do have a very busy restaurant and a large car park. We prefer our sandwiches and a bottle of frozen water in a shiny old crisp bag. If you are a naturist you will love this place. If not please go to Papagayo. Returned for another visit. Saturday this time and if anything the naturist % was higher. One point I discovered is that at low tide it can be slightly more difficult to get into the sea because of the rocks but as the tide rises it gets easier. Also there is a slightly better sandy patch 2/3 of the way down the beach in front of the post with the life belt on it.
Robert B — Google review
The guides will tell you “there are no gay beaches on Lanzarote” but this beach has a mix of gay and straight, naturist and clothed. It’s rocky at both ends and sandy in the middle. Road in is gravelled and a bit rough in places but it’s not difficult, we had a VW Polo hire car and it managed it. Definitely worth the effort
Rognbrow — Google review

4 because of the bad road. But if you can put up with that, it's brilliant and would definitely be a 5. It's pretty much completely naturist, which is great IMO. It's a lovely beach. It's fairly easy to access to from the "Parking Playa del Papagayo".

Playa del Paso is a small isolated beach located at the end of a path through the lava fields, making it an ideal spot for those seeking seclusion away from the main town. Accessible via a 30-40 minute hike from El Golfo, this black sand beach offers a quiet and windy atmosphere with soft sand. While swimming is not recommended due to strong waves and soft sand, visitors can enjoy the stunning natural beauty of the area.
If you are looking for a small isolated beach in the area then this is the perfect place. This was a great find for me and my partner who just wanted to go for a hike away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. From El Golfo you must take a 30-40 minute hike along the coast to get here. The terrain is very harsh due to the volcanic rock so make sure you have good footware; sandles will be very difficult to wear for this journey! It's easy to stray off the path as you get near the beech so best to have a phone with sat nav turned on. This happened to ourselves and it added an additional 30 minutes to the journey. Dont be perceived by what looks like tranquil waves on my picture 😅The beech is small but has some pretty strong waves. We enjoyed getting bashed about for 10 minutes which cooled us off from the warm weather. If you are swimming out from the beech then be sure to wear goggles as its not completely sandy and there are rocks that stick out in the middle. There were also some people fishers either side on the cliffs so I presume its good for this to. This was also my first time on a black train beach and I prefer it over sand any day. The grains are bigger and more noticeable then finer yellow grains so it's easy to spot and clear off your clothes and body. If you are up for the mini adventure then you should make time to go as it's well worth it! 5✳️

It's the best black beach in Lanzarote without any doubt. It's quiet, windy (but not too much) and it has black soft sand. Cons: 1. It takes around 40 minutes hike from a villa next to El Golfo. 2. You can't bath here because the waves are very strong and the sand is so soft that you subside a bit even when you walk.

Bodegas Rubicón is a historic estate that has been in existence since 1570 and was transformed into a modern winery in the late 1970s. Located in the village of La Geria in Lanzarote, it offers visitors the opportunity to taste a variety of wines produced on-site. The estate also features a local restaurant where guests can enjoy a range of dishes paired with wines made from grapes grown in the surrounding vineyards.
Really nice winery with 2€ glasses allowing you to try them all! Lovely views of the vineyards and you can also walk in them a little. They sell little places of cheese and crackers as well and you can check out the place for free ! Friendly guy selling the wine and very knowledgeable. I did the tour with two glasses of wine and cheese, and it was a really great experience. The explanations and walk-through were very informative, and although we couldn’t visit the vineyard itself due to a bug infestation affecting the plants, the rest of the tour more than made up for it. The wines we tried were excellent—fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The cheeses paired perfectly with the tasting, and the overall atmosphere made the experience amazing. I would definitely go again and highly recommend it to anyone interested in wine and local flavors!

One of the many wineries to try out local Malvasia wine. We arrived at the same time as a bus tour so it was quite busy and had to queue to order so I would try to avoid peak hours if I went again! The cheap tasty wines made it worth it however.

Bodega Stratvs is situated in Barranco del Obispo, near the Timanfaya National Park. The vineyard's surroundings feature ancient strains of frank foot cultivated in the gerias, which are characteristic holes dug into the island's soil for cultivation. The winery boasts modern equipment that allows for the extraction of top-quality grapes and the production of prestigious wines with distinct personalities, as evidenced by numerous awards.
The vineyard is very well equipped, the staff, friendly, and the wine, delicious, especially Diego seco. We booked on Saturday so we can enjoy the live show after the tour. We were amazed to see the grape vines thriving in so harsh conditions. Plus, my partner felt inspired to propose me in the beauty of the vineyard, making Stratvs a special place for us!

This place is gorgeous, very pretty plants everywhere and the architecture is stunning. We joined the daily Spanish tour at noon (we did not book in advance) for 25 eur/person. Would recommend to do more research and planning than we did and do the english tour at 16:00 (but they do not happen daily). We understood something but the guide made zero effort to speak slowly (we were not the only non-Spanish ones). The tour took 1 hour and at the end we got a cheese snack and 3 samples of wine. Overall, glad we did the tour but I think it’s overpriced.

A truly special place. The architecture is modern but still fits perfectly into Lanzarote’s volcanic landscape. The guided tour was informative and engaging. We learned about how the vines grow in the volcanic soil of La Geria and how the winemaking process makes the most of that unique environment. The tasting at the end was lovely. We tried three wines (a white, a red, and a moscatel) paired with local cheeses. The wines are lovely and full of character, especially considering the challenging growing conditions. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant and terrace are also worth mentioning. They are great places to relax with a glass while enjoying the views over the vineyards.

Beautiful state of the art winery. We took a tour with a very attentive and knowledge young woman who, not only showed us the installations, explained to us the unique way of growing grapes like no where else in the world. The winery, cellars, and the surrounding area are beautiful. The outdoor tasting area and restaurant terrace have a good atmosphere and are great places to sit and enjoy the view. We joined the guided wine tour, which included tastings of three types of wines and local cheeses, all of very good quality. The guide was friendly and approachable, sharing interesting details about the history of the winery and how their methods are adapted to the volcanic landscape of Lanzarote. After the tour, visitors can walk around the vineyard and take photos, which is a nice opportunity to explore the surroundings at your own pace. The sample shop offers a good selection of wines, cheeses, tapas ingredients, cakes, small pastries, and other gift items. Overall, it was a very good experience and well worth a visit.

(Translated by Google) We visited Timanfaya National Park after booking a guided tour online. The experience couldn't have been more wonderful. We were a small group, the walking tour was breathtaking, and, above all, our guide Raquel conveyed her love for this spectacular natural setting in a very warm and engaging way. A ten.

(Translated by Google) We had reserved this excursion and we showed up at the meeting point. Once there they tell us that the excursion will cancel. I wonder if, having information such as phone number and email in the reservation, it would not have been possible to notify us to avoid displacement. They are excursions for 8 people, I don't think it is that complicated to send an SMS or email. Decepcionante

Playa Caletón San Marcial, also known as Playa del Pozo, is a 300-meter long beach located in Lanzarote. It is less crowded than other nearby beaches and is quite popular with nudists. The beach can be accessed by foot from the Playa de las Mujeres and is situated below old wells built by Norman conquerors in the early fifteenth century.
Wonderful little beach. We were today there, totally alone. We arrived from the top, but you need to step down on the rock to get there. We left the beach from the coast on the right side to join the Playa de Mujeres. Very easy that way. Important to know: following a recent storm, all the sand has disappeared (see picture), so it was not easy to go into the water.

Only accessible to those prepared to walk over rough terrain and most of the time in soaring heat. BUT historically important location for Lanzarote dating back many hundreds of years.

Early in the morning before the masses arrive its nice. Later in the day you wont be able to find shade because people will most likely have peed and take a dump there. It's a quiet beach compared to other papagayo beaches but you are still in the most tourist crowded place of Lanzarote

This is a small cove beach located between the cliffs of the adjoing beaches that can be accessed by walking along rock plateaus at the sea front or via a relatively steep climb from the footpaths. This and the next inlet Caleton de cobre are very pretty and good for snorkeling. they are almost exclusively nude. although everyone walks past to get to the next beach. definetly worth a visit
