The National Museum, a restored former palace in Riyadh, offers a comprehensive look at the history and culture of Saudi Arabia. With eight galleries spanning two floors, visitors can explore exhibits ranging from prehistoric times to modern era, including a life-size reproduction of Nabatean tombs. The museum's interactive displays provide insight into the Arabian Peninsula's history and the introduction of Islam.
The National Museum Riyadh is a true cultural treasure and one of the best places to learn about Saudi Arabia’s rich history and heritage. From pre-Islamic times through the rise of Islam and into the modern era, the museum presents its story beautifully through well-organized and detailed exhibits. The architecture is stunning, with spacious galleries that allow you to take your time and absorb the displays without feeling rushed or crowded. The experience is greatly enhanced by the presence of friendly and knowledgeable staff stationed at various points throughout the museum, ready to assist and answer questions. The environment is clean, well-maintained, and inviting for both tourists and locals. It’s a perfect destination for families, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking to understand the depth of Saudi culture. A visit here is not just informative, but truly inspiring.

I got the chance to visit The National Museum of Saudi Arabia, and I have to say, it surprised me. It’s a great place to visit with your family or as a tourist destination. The museum goes through an insightful and in-depth coverage of The Kingdom’s history, Islamic history, and geographical history. There are lots of artifacts and fossils, accompanied by their respective descriptions. There is an outdoor garden which is a beautiful place to have a walk or take in the scenery. I do recommend taking the green line metro to the museum to add to the experience, as the station itself is quite beautiful, as is the walk to the museum. However take care to go during pleasant weather, as the summer heat can be quite unbearable. My only issue with the place was the lack of places to buy water, although, it can be understandable as food and drink are not allowed past the lobby and into the museum. Overall, I recommend visiting the national museum!

A huge museum complex in the middle of a small pleasant garden. The personal is very friendly and helpful. Main entrance is free, but temporary exhibitions might need a prepaid ticket. The permanent collection is very interesting to visit. Very few exceptional pieces but they are worth the visit alone. Explanations are good, focused on a younger or not so experienced audience. The freshly brewed coffee in the main entrance hall is well worth trying.
Hannes H — Google review
One of the best National Museums I visited. The narrative you find here is not one full of pride, but humility. It is a well written history of the region and its people in a very candid manner. There is also a short but sweet part on natural history, though I was here for the Saudi history first and foremost. The exhibition does end more or less when the third and current Saudi state is founded as far as I could understand. There seems to be some free offerings in the atrium and the entry is free for all. Better yet, the museum’s backyard is a gorgeous park that you should spend some time in to relax and ponder about what you learnt in the museum. This park hides an entrance to another exhibition, this time focusing on the founder of the Kingdom, Ibn Saud, which is a must visit in my humble opinion as well. This whole are is just an excellent experience overall really.
Mustafa K — Google review
Very worthwhile to visit. Learned a bunch about the culture and history. Entrance was free and self guided. Just follow the yellow line through the various rooms. It’s much larger than it looks. Lots of rooms and exhibits. After we finished at the museum we strolled through the park and outside areas. Lots of fun and educational too!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently visited the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how beautiful and well-designed the place is. The exhibitions are organized in a way that takes you through Saudi Arabia’s history step by step — from ancient times to the modern era. I really enjoyed the interactive displays and videos that helped bring the stories to life. Everything was clearly explained in both Arabic and English, which made it easy to follow and understand. The staff were polite and helpful, and the whole environment felt calm and welcoming. What I liked most was how the museum connects history with culture — it made me appreciate how much the Kingdom has developed while still preserving its traditions. Overall, my visit was educational and inspiring. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Riyadh.
CH A — Google review
Visiting the National Museum of Saudi Arabia was honestly one of the best cultural experiences I’ve had in the city. The museum is beautifully designed, both inside and out. The architecture alone is worth seeing, it’s modern but still reflects traditional Saudi elements, and the atmosphere feels calm and welcoming from the moment you step in. What I loved most was how well the exhibits are organized. Each hall takes you on a journey through different eras of Saudi history, from prehistoric times to the modern Kingdom. The displays are detailed and interactive, which really helps you understand the country’s story, culture, and growth over time. The section about Islam’s beginnings and the Prophet’s era was especially powerful and moving. The museum also does a great job blending technology with history. There are screens, videos, and even sound effects that make everything feel alive. I also appreciated how everything is labeled in both Arabic and English, so even international visitors can fully enjoy the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the ticket prices were very reasonable. The museum is located in King Abdulaziz Historical Center, so it’s surrounded by gardens and other landmarks worth exploring after your visit. Overall, I would highly recommend the National Museum to anyone visiting Riyadh, locals or tourists. It’s not just educational, but also inspiring, and it really makes you appreciate Saudi Arabia’s deep and rich heritage.

Wow, honestly wow. Saudi arabia is really opening my eyes towards another dimension, I never thought in my life I would see this much history in the national museum of Saudi Arabia. The museum is super clean, well equipped, signs everywhere, employees willing to help you with anything and super respectful and responsive. Each section of the museum takes you to another dimension, plus I had the chance to visit the exhibition of the coins that was in the museum, the guide during the exposition was amazing, he knows his stuff, and really friendly. Saudi Ministry of Culture thank you for this wonderful experience and I honored and happy to be one of the visitors of this great museum. God bless Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people 🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦💚💚🙏🏻🙏🏻

Riyadh Zoo Monument, established in 1987, is a popular entertainment center and tourist attraction in Riyadh. It houses over 1500 animals from around the world and offers various facilities such as gift shops, restaurants, parking lots, restrooms, a train ride, and children's play areas. The zoo is well-maintained with safety measures like boundary walls and glass installations.
🌿 Fun & Refreshing Visit to Riyadh Zoo! Visited Riyadh Zoo recently and had a great time! The zoo is spacious, clean, and home to a variety of animals including lions, elephants, deer, and more. It’s a calm and pleasant place to enjoy nature and see wildlife up close. The animals looked well taken care of, and the shaded paths made walking around comfortable even in the heat. The lions relaxing under the trees and the deer freely grazing were some of the highlights. Perfect spot for families, kids, or even just a peaceful solo visit. A relaxing break from the busy city life — I’d definitely recommend checking it out when in Riyadh!

Perfect family spot – animals, fun walk & free entry! Very good place for kids to see a wide variety of animals – from birds and monkeys to African cheetahs and lions. 🦜🐒🦁 The walk takes about 1.5 hours to cover fully, and it’s enjoyable for the whole family. Best part – when I visited in August, the entrance was free! Definitely worth a visit.

A very good place for family visits. 5 pm is closing the entry gates and 6pm letting everyone go out from the zoo. Around 5:30 pm opening the gates of the homes for animals. Proper time to visit is before 3pm.

The Zoo is well-maintained. Clealiness is 💯, no unwanted smell. We are only half way we can't finish because the heat is too much, definitely recommend on winter for better enjoyment 🙂

I liked the spacious zoo with good space for animals and large open walking space. Only downside is the hot weather in summer. Visit early or evening hours or in Winter.. Lions, tiger, white lion, bears, giraffes, camels, birds to name few..

A must-visit spot for every traveler exploring Riyadh! 🌴📸 #Riyadh #MismakFort #SaudiHeritage #HistoricRiyadh #VisitSaudi

Al Masmak Palace is one of Riyadh’s most fascinating historical sites — a well-preserved mud-brick fortress that tells the story of how modern Saudi Arabia began. Visiting the palace feels like stepping back in time, with detailed exhibits, old photographs, and artifacts that bring the 1902 recapture of Riyadh by King Abdulaziz to life. The site is compact and easy to explore in under an hour. The museum staff are welcoming, and the information displays (in Arabic and English) make the experience accessible even without a guide. The surrounding area, including Souq Al Zal, adds to the atmosphere and makes it worth a longer cultural stop.

Historic place, each and every wall and the doors of this Museum tells us it's own tale. Must visit this Museum along with your family and get some useful information about this place. The entry is free.

This is the museum to come to if you want to find out how the third and current Saudi State was founded. While I already read a bit on the history of the Kingdom before flying here, I must say, it is something else to see the actual place where the state was founded well over a century ago. The video inside details the night raid of Ibn Saud as well, which was an excellent addition to the exhibition. Certainly a must visit in Riyadh, a free one no less!
Mustafa K — Google review
UPDATE after my phone call to AlMasmak issue. My hotel concierge was able to contact them and confirm theywere open. So I went. What a fantastic small museum. An elegant, educational and historically rich museum that tell the story of the reuification of the Kingdom through the conquer by King Abdulaziz.of the Masmak fortress. Even the video of the capture beautifully disaplayed the heroism of hi 40 men in a night commando raid. Must do. By the way the entrance is free.

We are proud of Almasmak fortress. Because, it a historical landmarks that had the beginning of Saudi Arabia unification journey 1902. The entrance gate of Almasmak fortress has the evidence of Riaydh battle in 1902. Yuu can see the remaining of the spear terrace. I strongly recommend you to visit Almasmak fortress to learn more about Saudi Arabia history and to enjoy local shops. Almasmak fortress staff are nice and helpful. Thank you 🙏🌹

This museum is a must-see for its historical significance. It's important to follow the directions as you explore; the exit is not easily accessible. The First Aid sign is also the women's restroom. You don't need a ticket; it's free. It opens at 4:00 PM on holidays. If you go at this time, it won't be crowded.

Beautiful place full of history and ancient heritage of the culture of Saudi Arabia. Amazing photos, ancient pieces of collection, even classic cars. Very nice place. What was not so friendly were the security guys of the palace. Unfortunately they were very rude with me and one of my friends. I recommend to the administrators of the cultural center to check this behaviour over the security people. Free entry.

Al Murabba Palace is one of the most prominent historical landmarks in Riyadh. The palace reflects an important period in the Kingdom’s history and showcases the simplicity and beauty of traditional Najdi architecture. A tour inside the palace offers visitors a glimpse into the early days of the country’s foundation, with halls and rooms displayed in an organized and informative way. The surrounding gardens add a lovely and peaceful touch, and you can enjoy a walk before or after your visit ❤️. Its location near the King Abdulaziz Historical Center makes it a culturally and historically rich experience. Murabba Historical Palace – A Place Full of History I visited the Murabba Historical Palace in Riyadh, and it was a great experience. The palace has beautiful old-style architecture with thick mud walls, wooden roofs, and large open spaces. This palace shows how **King Abdulaziz** lived and tells a lot about Saudi Arabia's history. There are old rooms, interesting artifacts, and stories about the country's past. If you are in Riyadh and like history, I recommend visiting Murabba Palace. Wadi Hanifah is a 120-km valley that stretches from northwest to southeast through Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Historically, it was a vital source of groundwater and home to palm groves and villages. However, in recent years, it became a dumping ground for wastewater and industrial waste. Fortunately, the Arriyadh Development Authority has undertaken an extensive rehabilitation project to restore this natural wonder.
The nearest ideal camping spot in Riyadh. It’s also our go-to place for jog, scooter and bikes. The place is well-maintained and restrooms are accessible. We revisited late 2024 and it’s under renovation, hence bike/scooter access was limited. Nevertheless, you may enjoy the view, animals, picnic, grill and spend quality time. We hope the visitors help the cleanliness of the place by discarding their trash in the right place.

A true icon in Riyadh’s skyline. Kingdom Centre is not just a landmark, it’s an experience. The tower itself is sleek and elegant, with stunning architecture that still feels futuristic. The Sky Bridge at the top? A must-visit the panoramic views of Riyadh are breathtaking, especially at sunset. The mall inside Kingdom Centre is upscale and clean, offering a solid mix of luxury brands, local boutiques, and dining options. It’s not massive, but it’s curated more quality over quantity. The Iconic Sky Bridge of Riyadh - A Must-Do Experience An absolute landmark and a must-visit for anyone in Riyadh, whether you're a tourist or a local. The Kingdom Centre isn't just a building; it's an experience. The highlight is, without a doubt, the Sky Bridge on the 99th floor. The 360-degree panoramic views of Riyadh are breathtaking, especially at sunset when the city starts to light up. The elevator ride itself is an experience – it's incredibly fast and smooth. It's the perfect place for photos and to truly grasp the scale of the city. Beyond the Sky Bridge, the complex houses a high-end shopping mall with a fantastic selection of luxury and contemporary brands, a great food court, and plenty of cafes. The architecture of the building, with its parabolic arch, is stunning both day and night. The only minor point is that tickets for the Sky Bridge can be a bit pricey, but it is worth every riyal for the unforgettable view. Highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance to avoid queues. Pro Tip: Visit just before sunset to see the city in daylight, watch the sunset, and then see the city lights come alive – all in one visit.
Muhammed A — Google review
A must see in Riyadh! The entrance of the sky bridge quite difficult to find. You go into the building, then 1st floor, right hand site of the shop "Montblanc", small and narrow corridor, there you have to go. Note: they renovate and rebuilt parts of the mall, so this might change! I went there October 2025. Enter the corridor you come to a desk. Pay 138 SAR and you are free to take off. They lead you to the elevator(s). Then go up and enjoy. If you use the train, there is a station around the corner.

A nice place to visit and see the city from top of the building 101th floor. But not worthy,it’s better to visit on day time, not a good plan at night time. From web we search that the price of the entry is 80Riyal but at ticket counter it was mentioned 140 Riyal. Disappointed about it. But was good experience though

Very good place to visit. It is one of famous tower in Saudi Arabia. It has a mall under and you need to reserve for top view.

What a beautiful mall, intimate and wonderful atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and always willing to assist. The mall is very clean and never full. Each store you walk into you’re made to feel like you’re the only customer inside. The employees always greet with a smile and ask if you need assistance with anything, even if you ask for advice on items you’re interested in. Most stores even offer some refreshments. It’s going to my second home, absolutely love it here

Well its good that the metro station is very near to the tower but, I was surprised in the ticket price , its my first time to visit but i would recommend to go in other spots like boulevard world, riyadh zoo, or etc. It’s true that the view in kingdom tower was breathtaking and mesmerizing but the ticket price with 138 riyal with no freebies even a bottle of water its not good . But it’s good also to have experience . Walk in ticket price Adult: 138 riyal Kids: 69 riyal I don’t know the price online If they have.

Nestled in the heart of Riyadh, the Al Rajhi Mosque stands as a stunning testament to Islamic architecture, featuring an impressive dome and twin minarets that reach for the sky. This grand mosque is not only a place of worship but also a cultural landmark that beautifully marries traditional design with modern elements. With its expansive prayer hall capable of accommodating up to 20,000 worshippers, it serves as a vibrant hub for community gatherings and educational activities.
The best mosque you could come across riyadh, inspired by the Andalusian architecture , loved the vibes and biggest mosque in riyadh in terms of number of people who can pray. I usually pray Friday prayer there and there is plenty of parking too. There are options for guided tours too. Worth visiting if you are coming to riyadh.

This is a truly beautiful and spiritual place, reflecting the essence of true Islam. The atmosphere is peaceful and uplifting, with regular daily lectures delivered by a respected Shaikh in Arabic that inspire both heart and mind. The masjid has a very large and spacious prayer area, making it comfortable for all worshippers. Everything is kept extremely clean and neat, creating a pure environment for worship and learning. A place where faith grows stronger every day.

Al-Rajhi Grand Mosque near Exit 14, Riyadh is grand and peaceful. Beautiful Moorish architecture, huge capacity halls for men & women, well-maintained surroundings and ample parking. A spiritual landmark you can’t miss. 🇸🇦
Waseem V — Google review
Majestic Scale & Design Completed in 2004 and funded by Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, the mosque is a prominent landmark in the Al-Jazirah neighborhood. Its design embraces Andalusian Moorish Revival architecture, featuring a grand central dome (~28.8 m in diameter), soaring twin minarets (~55 m tall), and a spacious prayer hall with room for about 20,000 worshippers. • Thoughtfully Built for the Community The structure spans over 13,260 m² with surrounding grounds reaching roughly 43,568 m². The men’s prayer area spans three floors (~18,000 capacity), while the women’s area spans two floors (~2,500 capacity)—designed to serve large congregations comfortably. • Integrated Facilities The mosque doubles as a multi-purpose Islamic center—hosting a growing library (from 3,000 books in 2005 to over 16,000 by 2013), media and charitable offices, Quran memorization classes, women’s institutes, and even funeral washing and prayer services. Visit during non-prayer hours for a calm, thoughtful experience. • Dress conservatively. • Explore the architectural elegance, expansive interiors, and serene surroundings. • Great spot for photography, quiet reflection, or learning about Islamic arts and culture

Good time to visit there is almost before sunset and watch the sunsets in the city too.. Great place to visit and enjoy it with your family and friends at least once you must have to visit the place.. The entry has to be reserved and the charge for per person is 69sr but it is worth every penny to get the superb experience.. The staff are also great and they have a very helpful team.. 🫡🫡🫡

We visited during our stay in Riyadh. Amazing tower with beautiful views. We went to the top at night. Stunning. Awesome to see Riyadh lit up at night. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of space once you are at the top and the viewing deck is outside which is really cool. Plenty of places to sit and relax as well. We did not go to the dining area, but they have that at the top as well. The building itself is majestic. There is a shopping mall and plenty of restaurants around as well. This is a must see when visiting Riyadh. We loved our visit.

King Khalid Grand Mosque is a modern and spacious religious site in Riyadh, built by the daughter of a former King of Saudi Arabia. The mosque serves as a spiritual sanctuary with serene interiors, promoting peace and unity among worshippers.
Beautiful surroundings, happy to pray salah in this masjid. Like to bring my father & son here for salah and prayers. The King Khalid Grand Mosque (Arabic: جامع الملك خالد) is a Sunni Islam Friday mosque and an active place of worship in the Umm al-Hammam al-Gharbi neighborhood of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Built in 1987 and opened in 1988, it incorporates some elements of Turkish architecture and is one of the most prominent landmarks of Riyadh

Big doors covered in bronze plate and engraved with a geometric motif greet you as you approach the mosque. Stepping inside you are greeted by the cool air, and the atmosphere of peace and calm. The floor is adorned in a deep red carpet with a yellow motif and lends a sombre air to the mosque, while feeling plush under foot. The doors and windows are beautifully framed in geometric patterns that repeat regularly thus allowing one to focus on prayer and reflection. The main wall has a large wooden paneling and there are several strands with the Holy Book laid out for worshipers to read from. There are more Qurans readily available from racks along each wall, along with chairs provided for those that need them. Large brass lamps throughout the hall provide a soft and gentle illumination to assist reading the texts. Outside there is a large marbled courtyard with an entire wall of taps and troughs to perform ablution before attending prayers. The mosque is both grand and humbling, while being uplifting and calming. The interior is simple yet elegant and focused on providing a space for community to come together both during ages after worship. I very much enjoyed my visit here and would love to come back soon. It's considered one of the most beautiful parks in the country and offers visitors a chance to see replicas of iconic structures such as the Eiffel Tower, Pyramids of Giza, and Saudi Arabian skyscrapers. The park is an ideal spot for a picnic with its children's playground and lush surroundings.
Excellent place to go with kids. It has a very minimal entry fee with multiple miniature models of different famous sites from around the world. It's located in a very quiet and calm location near a residential area. Large mosque nearby. Clean toilets. It is a very clean place with grass for the family to sit and enjoy. Every monument has a brief detail about it written on a plate which is attached to the border of the railing around the monument, with a picture of the original place. Also have nice swings and play areas for the kids. I really love the place and definitely will recommend visiting with kids. Kids below 3 years can enter for free.

Children can enjoy at a small play area, which has a sliding and multiple swings. Adult can take snaps around all the world monuments. It has a small cafeteria where snacks are available.

Imagine traveling around the world in a couple hours. That’s literally what you do here and see the best landmarks. Very few people know of the place which makes it all the more attractive. Has most of the modern wonders as well as quite a few local landmarks. Each has an informational board in both English and Arabic. Park is very well maintained. Great place to picnic and definitely take the kids. Entrance fee is a mere SR11.5 for adults and SR5.5 for kids. We went at night because it was cooler then to be outdoors. But I’m sure pics would be great during the day.

The KAFD Grand Mosque is a striking architectural landmark located at the heart of Riyadh's King Abdullah Financial District. Surrounded by skyscrapers, this mosque serves as the spiritual center of the district and is designed to accommodate Friday prayers for both visitors and residents. The mosque's unique geometric structure, inspired by the native desert rose, reflects a seamless blend of modern aesthetics with traditional Islamic elements. Its spacious and elegant design has garnered admiration for its futuristic appearance while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere within.
The King Abdullah Grand Mosque in KFD has an incredible design, brother. The entire mosque doesn’t have a single pillar inside, which is remarkable. It's such a beautiful mosque with an excellent architectural design that once you visit, you’ll be mesmerized just looking at it. It’s truly amazing and so beautiful. I felt really good to see it, and I had the opportunity to pray Jumu’ah there. It’s simply outstanding and worthy of praise—a truly amazing mosque! It is with a heavy heart that I must say this: it seems that the mosque has not yet appointed an official Imam or Muezzin. Currently, anyone random leads the Jumu’ah prayers, which is quite unfortunate. Most of the worshippers here are workers from within the KFD area, with only a few people coming from outside. The city is not yet fully operational, which is why there are still several shortcomings. An Imam should be officially appointed, as there isn’t one currently, and random individuals are leading the prayers. thanks

I’m really proud of My Saudi Friends and how they run towards the Future yet staying connected with the past - that’s what makes them different from for example “plastic, hermetic and fake” Emirates… fusion in between the authentic and one of a kind history and modern/futuristic approach - that’s why I LOVE the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia! KAFD GRAND MOSQUE It’s was amazing experience! The KAFD GRAND MOSQUE Nestled among the other anchor buildings is what could possibly be one of KAFD’s best-kept architectural secrets, the Grand Mosque. Inspired by the desert rose native to the Arabian Peninsula and created by Omrania, the mosque has a unique geometric structure that dazzles from all angles. When viewed from ground level, it appears to burst from the earth and pierce the landscape, while the roof resembles a rose in full bloom when viewed from the top of the surrounding skyscrapers.

It’s a part from the historical site in Al Diriyah area, 25 km from the center of Riyadh. Free entry with many people to assist you. Nice old museum, few rooms for ex princess, alleys, houses and old mosque. The place is well maintained and a great location for photography lovers.

Beautiful place. Visited in day time where entry is free but ticket needed. Location - its outside the city area of Riyadh but not really that far. So not much to do around this place. Place - mini musuem and galleries within this place to learn about the history. Ticket - you need a ticket even if it's free to enter. Buraji terrace has lovely resturants which you'll see upon exiting.

I recently visited Turaif District and had a fantastic experience. The district is rich in history and culture, and I enjoyed exploring the traditional architecture and narrow streets. I had lunch at somewhere restaurant and the food was delicious, with a variety of authentic dishes to choose from. The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, . I highly recommend visiting Turaif District for a unique and enjoyable experience. You can book your free tickets online in advance to prevent buying tickets at the district Price for each ticket will be 50 sr. The ticket price will be as a credit you can spend in the district.

Huge, spacious, very clean loos. Not crowded when I visited on a Sunday afternoon just before Asr. Huge selection of stores. Many great coffee cafes as well. Best of all, the mall is peaceful with no annoying music, very grateful for that! As a place that's always busy, I expected to be better, but it was just fine. The Charlotte cake was nice and the chocolate black forest as well, but not so special, green tea super regular and the berries mojito below average. The service was so slow that we waited almost 20 minutes to get our cakes, and it wasn't even busy. We all the other options in Riyadh Park, Paul is not even close to the other bakeries there. But the portion of the cake is big and the prices are reasonable

Embark on an exhilarating adventure in Riyadh by visiting the Kingdom Center Sky Bridge, located within the iconic Kingdom Tower. This architectural marvel offers awe-inspiring panoramic views of the city from its vantage point on the 50th floor, suspended 300 meters above ground. As one of Riyadh's tallest skyscrapers, it provides a thrilling experience as visitors walk across its glass-floor bridge to take in the sprawling metropolis below.
You have to enter the mall and walk the stairs up to the first floor, the entrance is facing the stairs (you can see the stairs at the end of the video showing the ground floor of the mall). The way to the bridge was pretty short: 2 elevators to take (1-77 then 77-99 floors) and that’s it. I reached the 99th floor around 5:15pm, before the sunset at that time. The view on both sides is incredible. It is fun to see all this car traffic and the infinite size of the city. No too much visitors but it got more crowded around 6pm when I left. A very nice experience if you visit in Riyadh!
Francois B — Google review
Worth going up to see if you like nice views. I personally thought it was a little expensive. The videos don't do it justice. Looks better in person. There is a very nice hotel just down the road too.
Harry R — Google review
Unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming considering the high ticket price (SAR 138 incl. VAT). You go up just to walk around for barely two minutes at the top, with a basic view of Riyadh — and that’s it. No seating areas, no refreshments, no interactive elements, not even basic amenities like fans or shade. A beautiful view, yes — but definitely not worth the price. The overall experience lacks value for money and thoughtful planning.

During our recent travels visiting Riyadh proved to be an absolutely unforgettable experience and two places in particular left a lasting impression on us the first being the Kingdom Tower which is widely regarded as one of the most iconic landmarks of the city this tower is not only impressive because of its extraordinary height but also because of its stunning architectural design and the way it dominates the skyline from the moment you approach it the view from the top of the tower is truly breathtaking as one looks out over the sprawling city below the lights and movement create a living tapestry that is both vibrant and mesmerizing it is a perspective that makes you appreciate the scale and energy of Riyadh in a way that is hard to capture through photographs or descriptions alone every floor and viewing platform of the tower offers something unique and it is clear why it is considered a must visit destination in the city along with the Kingdom Tower our visit to Riyadh Gallery was equally remarkable this modern shopping complex is not only expansive and beautifully designed but also offers a wide variety of experiences for visitors from luxury brand stores to casual cafes and restaurants the atmosphere inside the gallery is lively yet comfortable making it easy to spend hours exploring the different sections and enjoying everything from shopping to dining the organization and presentation of the stores create an experience that feels both upscale and welcoming and the variety ensures that there is something for everyone in our group what stood out the most was the seamless combination of modern convenience with aesthetic appeal it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into creating an environment that is both functional and visually pleasing together visiting the Kingdom Tower and Riyadh Gallery gave us a well rounded impression of Riyadh as a city that values both tradition and modernity it allowed us to see not only the scale and beauty of the city but also how contemporary lifestyle and culture are celebrated and made accessible to residents and visitors alike the energy of the city combined with the elegance of its landmarks and the comfort of its modern facilities made this trip an experience we will remember for a long time it is rare to find destinations that leave such a comprehensive impression on travelers and these two places in Riyadh did just that providing us with memories that are vivid inspiring and deeply satisfying

The Camel Trail, also known as "THE EDGE OF THE WORLD," is a historical hiking trail located just over 30km from Riyadh. It was once used by camel caravans for trading and now attracts hikers eager to explore old stone steps, walls, and rock formations while enjoying incredible views. The 1.3 km trail ascends to the top of Tuwaiq Mountain, offering a unique experience suitable for all ages.
Without a doubt, the best geographical sights to see whilst in Riyadh are those from the Camel trail and what was also called 'THE EDGE OF THE WORLD'. You'll be amazed at the view and it blows away any of the other things you can do in Riyadh. A Historical trail of about 1.3 km (in one direction) ascending to the top of Tuwaiq Mountain. A very beautiful and unique experience. Suitable for all ages. You will need only good fitness, especially going to the top.

The Camel Trekking trail in Riyadh is a wonderful, easy hike that’s perfect for beginners. It offers a peaceful walk through the desert landscape, with beautiful rock formations and wide, open views. The trail is very manageable and doesn’t require any advanced hiking skills, making it ideal for anyone looking for a relaxed outdoor experience. The hike is enjoyable at any pace, with plenty of opportunities to stop, take in the scenery, and snap some great photos of the surrounding natural beauty. It’s a great escape from the city, offering a calm and serene atmosphere. Whether you're going with friends, family, or just looking to enjoy some time outdoors on your own, this trail is a perfect choice. I highly recommend this hike for those visiting Riyadh. It's a perfect way to explore the natural desert environment without the challenge of difficult terrain. Don’t forget to bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and enjoy the stunning views along the way

It is a beautiful place with beautiful views. Not too bad of a hike/walk. It was about 1.2 miles down and about the same going up. Be careful and drink water. It can be challenging for someone not used to walking down and up a rocky trail, but its good for a beginner. Check the temperature and wear the proper clothing for this as well. I took off one star as well for the trash. If the place ws cleaned up better, it would be 5 stars easy...

Alhamdulillah we arrived there in the early morning of 22/01/2021 with a group of 5cars. The view was amazing! We had breakfast there before photography session. Did not have the chance to climb down through the camel trail. Many people came and hike the trail as well as enjoy the scenery. Advice not to dump your trash here though there are few trash bin, but with the strong wind and less maintenance, the trash will blown everywhere. Any vehicles can access but need to drive through normal off-road for around 20minutes. The entrance point was from makkah road toward riyadh, when you ascending there will be a small sign board “لااله الله" then take a right turn. There will be a security guard there will ask your name and plate number for record.
Mohd A — Google review
Great place to have a BBQ and meditate if you want to since it quite calm most of the time. The road to access the camel trail is different from where you can see from down there try to follow the maps to guarantee that will arrive to the top place. This is an appropriate place for family activities and friends as well. My recommendation, you can spend the from early morning till before the sunset as it will be so dark. Loved it so much.
Ramah K — Google review
This place mesmerized me! I thought of the Edge of the World! But it is not however the place looks similar! Now you can visit Camel Trail which is very close to Riyadh center compared to the Edge of the World which will take you more than 2 hours travel from Riyadh center. This is newly developed tourist attraction near Riyadh. So I expect this to become famous once the amenities is complete. I have a gut feeling that a cable ride or a glider will soon be established here. A lot of high points to go around. The area is bigger than the EOW in terms of roam around eye candy. You can see the village lights in the night.
Lakwatsirong B — Google review
Without doubt one the best geographical sights to see in Riyadh is Camel trail. You will amazed at the view and it blows away any of the other things you can do in Riyadh. To keep out of the heat, visit in the morning and especially sunrise for the best views. You'll need to head West outside of the city perimiter on the Makkah highway, you'll know when you get there as the motorway is cut into the cliff and suddenly the walls either side of the highway open to an amazing view as you head to the bottom of the Wadi Majmaa. Once you're down into the valley, take the first exit and explore!!

Very nice, big and well organized mall with hundreds of global brands. And a kids rollercoaster on the food court
Eduardo F — Google review
The mall has a large parking space, which makes it very convenient to visit. Inside, there are different shops, a food court, and several restaurants, so you can easily spend a few hours here. However, the variety of brands is limited, and there are only a few coffee shops to choose from. Overall, it’s a good place for basic shopping and dining, but not ideal if you’re looking for many international brands or café options.

The Saqer Al-Jazirah Royal Air Force Museum, also known as the Saqer-Aljazirah Aviation Museum, is a top attraction in Riyadh that offers a fascinating journey through the aeronautical history of Saudi Arabia. The museum features an impressive collection of aircraft, including airliners, helicopters, military planes, and various equipment used by the Saudi Air Force.
Super place to go to. My first airforce museum to visit. We can learn a lot about the saudi airforce history. Wonderful display of aircraft including the first Saudi aircraft. The staff are very polite, helpful and passionate.

A Journey Through the Skies The Aviation Museum is a wonderful destination for both aviation enthusiasts and families looking for an educational and enjoyable outing. Nestled in a beautifully maintained green area, the museum offers a refreshing and peaceful environment that makes the visit even more special. One of the main highlights is the impressive collection of aircraft from the past, each displayed with detailed information about its history, design, and role. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn about aviation history while seeing these magnificent machines up close. Whether you're visiting with friends or family, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Children will love exploring the open spaces and aircraft displays, while adults can appreciate the rich history and the peaceful setting. The entry ticket is very affordable—just 10 SR for adults and 5 SR for children under 10, making it a budget-friendly option for a day out. Overall, the Aviation Museum offers a perfect blend of history, nature, and fun. Highly recommended for a weekend trip or a school outing!

Perfect weekend spot with kids! The museum features an impressive collection of jets and military aircraft that highlight the rich history of the Saudi Air Force. It’s clean, peaceful, and filled with interesting exhibits. Ideal for spending a couple of hours with family or friends. The place is affordable, well-maintained, and welcoming. A must-visit for aircraft enthusiasts!

Its a good place for family visits. People will like the yard full of old military and passenger aircrafts. Exhibition includes numerous flights that has been used by Saudi air force from decades back. Try to reach here in the evenings only. Ticket cost is 10 riyal per head.

Excellent. Good for kids to see aviation history . Very Well maintained. Must visit place in Riyadh to see F-15 , Tornado and DC-10 planes in real. Free parking . Entry ticket 10 SAR for adults and half for kids.
Abdul R — Google review
I recently visited the Riyadh Aviation Museum and it was a wonderful experience. The outdoor area has several planes and helicopters on display, and there is no charge to view them. However, if you want to enter the main building, there is a small fee of 10 SAR. The museum is conveniently located near Riyadh Exhibition Metro Station, which makes it easy to access. One suggestion for the administration: the aircraft parked outside have a noticeable layer of dust on them. It would be great if more attention was given to keeping them clean, as it would make the outdoor exhibits even more impressive. Overall, a must-visit place for aviation enthusiasts and families alike! Truly, Vision 2030 will take Saudi Arabia far ahead.

At-Turaif World Heritage Site, located within Al Bujairi Heritage Park, is the birthplace of the first Saudi state and the ancestral home of the Saudi royal family. The site features restored mud-brick structures including palaces and mosques that offer a glimpse into the founding of the first Saudi state in 1727. Ad-Diriyah, where At-Turaif is situated, is undergoing redevelopment as part of Vision 2030, with areas now open to visitors.
At-Turaif Heritage Site in Diriyyah is a fascinating place where history truly comes alive. Walking through its narrow pathways and restored mudbrick buildings feels like stepping back in time to the origins of Saudi Arabia. You can learn a lot about the Kingdom’s early history, culture, and architecture, but it’s even better if you come with a local guide who can share the deeper stories and hidden details. The site is beautifully preserved and well organized, with clear signage and helpful staff. Evening visits are especially magical, with the warm lighting highlighting the ancient architecture. A must-visit when in Riyadh.
Nusrat A — Google review
Historical & Cultural Significance At-Turaif was the original capital of the First Saudi State (founded 1727), home to the House of Saud, and a key site for Saudi Arabia’s early history. Its architecture—mud-brick palaces, mosques, guesthouses (like Salwa Palace, Saad bin Saud Palace)—is deeply emblematic and was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2010. 2. Restoration & Conservation Efforts The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has invested heavily in restoring many structures, creating museums, galleries, visitor centres, and integrating modern facilities while preserving authenticity. Traditional material and building techniques are used, and there’s care to distinguish new vs. old sections. 3. Visitor Experience & Design • Tourists appreciate that signage, explanations, museums are bilingual (Arabic & English). • The mix of outdoor ruins, reconstructed parts, pavilions, and the Bujairi Terrace area (cafés/restaurants, view spots) gives a well-rounded outing. • Cleanly maintained grounds; staff are often described as helpful. 4. Ambience & Visuals Evening visits are particularly loved—sunset lighting, illumination, cooler weather and lighting of the restored buildings gives a magical feel. 5. Integration with Modern Cultural Life At-Turaif is not just ruins: there are craft exhibits (calligraphy, weaving etc.), museums, cultural displays, cafés/restaurants, which makes it more engaging
Muhammad M — Google review
Visiting the Turaif Fort was a truly memorable experience! The place is beautifully preserved and offers a fascinating glimpse into Saudi Arabia’s rich history and culture. Walking through the ancient structures and pathways feels like stepping back in time, and the detailed information displays make it easy to appreciate the significance of this historic site. The area is well-maintained, clean, and organized, with friendly staff and excellent facilities. The lighting in the evening adds a magical touch, highlighting the beauty of the fort and its surroundings. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone interested in heritage, architecture, or simply looking to enjoy a peaceful and educational outing. Highly recommended!

The best part of Riyadh, it's a really magnificent place. Rich history, great renovation, well organized and in the middle of October totally free of charge. You just need to pre-book your tickets from the relevant website!! After 8 gets really crowded but totally worth your time!!!
George T — Google review
The beautifullly restored historical city of Addiriyah comes to life at At-Turaif with a stunning welcome center that provides a brief history of the place. Then just get lost in the narrow alleys of Addiriyah, peeking into the various galleries that provide additional history, context and information. Learn about the first, second and third Saudi states, the Arabian horses, family lineage of the Royal family, as well as the architectural features of the place. Overall, exceptionally well preserved, restored and presented. The place turns magical in the evening when the orange lights turn on. The nearby shops and restaurants of Bujairi Terrace provide additional ambiance and beautifully landscaped park space for an excellent complement to your visit. This is *the* must visit attraction when you are in Riyadh.

Absolutely marvelous. You cant miss At-Turaif city and fortress and walk through its streets. The entrance museum gives you a hint about how elegant, historical and beautifully displayed the history of At-Turaif is ,and how it explains the Saudi Heritage and history. Plan at least 3 hours as there is much to see and just the walk on its streets take you to ancient times.

Diriyah Heritage Village is a beautifully preserved historic area that showcases the heart of Saudi Arabia’s past. The architecture, atmosphere, and hospitality make it a peaceful and enriching place to visit. Whether you come for the history, photography, or just to enjoy a coffee surrounded by traditional buildings — Diriyah offers an unforgettable experience.
Dini Y — Google review
Incredible heritage site that does not only lecture you on a most interesting point in Saudi history, but also teaches us all a bit about hospitality. While I really appreciated the exhibitions, the information provided, and the restorations, the fact that the whole journey involves you running into smiling guides on all sides just made things so much better. I visited hundreds of museums where the sulking museum officer would make life a living hell by just pestering the visitors at every chance, this never happened in Saudi Arabia. People are just there to help you make sense of what you see. Not to mention the water bottles provided at seemingly every corner, it makes visiting this expansive place a joyful walk rather than a demanding experience even at daytime. I do believe that at nighttime this place wi be even more magical, alas, due to my time constraints I only managed to see it at daytime. It did not really have many other visitors at the time so that was a welcome change. You can reserve your spot on Webook, for free. You just need to show your QR code at the entrance.

This huge complex covering an enormous area features world showcases from around the globe. There are pavilions from the UK,USA, France, Italy, Asia,India, Mexico, Morroco, Egypt and many more. Don’t expect the authenticity of main street USA at Disney World. Some of the building facades are quite crude, others better. The gift shops in some of the pavilions look more like market stalls others more sophisticated. In my opinion the exhibits from Egypt and Morroco were spectacular. Each country featured theme rides or theatrical entertainment but these can be expensive and you need to book them in advance as they are extremely popular.I did manage to watch a 2d movie of Aladdin on an enormous 360 degree screen within the spectacular spherical dome that dominates the show ground. Additional attractions are the exotic birds and parrots in the petting zoo with photographic opportunities, also the huge boating lake with gondola’s and the chair lifts that transgress the exhibit.Food in the concessions is very expensive be warned! If you are a senior like me you should enquire about wheelchair or mobility scooter availability. At eighty years of age I ended up walking six miles it was gruelling. There is a long walk from the car park to the entrance and they really should run a shuttle service. All things considered it was well worth a visit especially at night. Expect crowds at weekends the best time to visit is late afternoon.

The Place is amazing are totally free except for the parking you have to pay 10sar per hour. It is good for someone wants to unwind. A cool place to visit or spend time with the family, restaurants are every where. I love the idea of how they design the place. It is to relax and have some fun. You can meet or greet a lot of nationalities specially if you're a friendly one. 😇 of course if their is an event you have to book for the tickets if you want to join the event. But if the purpose is just to unwind and see the place the only thing that will cost you is the parking lot if you have a car. ❤️❤️❤️ hope you find my reviews helpful for you.

You can see Saudi Arabia has put a lot of efforts in making the tourism a success. The Boulevard Riyadh this year has lots to offer to it visitors. First, the grand entrance which mimics New York's Time Square with its majestic and attractive screen. Second, the large music lighting fountain shows. Besides, it is an excellent entertainment center for both adults and children. They offers lot of games for children. The Boulevard open from 5pm till 4am. You have to purchase tickets online. The tickets for week day cost Sr 55 and Sr 110 for weekends. I would recommend avoid going on weekends as it's too much traffic and crowded. The positive side, they have huge parking spaces. So you do not worry on finding parking lot. Overall, it's a present experience and you can take lots of pictures 😊

A Jewel of Knowledge in the Heart of Riyadh: King Fahad National Library In the ever-evolving skyline of Riyadh, where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly, stands a cultural jewel that reflects Saudi Arabia's commitment to knowledge, heritage, and progress — the King Fahad National Library. More than just a repository of books, it is a monument to the nation’s intellectual aspirations and a symbol of its deep-rooted respect for learning.Located in the heart of the capital, this magnificent library is a beacon for students, scholars, researchers, and dreamers alike. The building itself is a masterpiece of architectural fusion. Its contemporary design — marked by a striking white fabric façade that mimics the traditional Arabian tent — pays homage to the Kingdom’s nomadic past while embracing the spirit of innovation. During the day, natural light filters through this outer membrane, casting gentle patterns inside and creating a serene atmosphere perfect for reflection and research. Inside, the King Fahad National Library is nothing short of breathtaking. It houses hundreds of thousands of books, manuscripts, rare documents, and digital archives — a living treasury of Saudi heritage and global knowledge. Each corner whispers stories of civilizations, each shelf stands as a silent witness to centuries of human thought. But what makes this library truly special is not just its collection or its design. It is its spirit. This is a place where curiosity is welcomed, where young minds are nurtured, and where the Kingdom’s literary legacy is preserved with care and pride. It serves as a bridge connecting the wisdom of the past with the ambitions of the future. In recent years, the library has expanded its role by hosting lectures, exhibitions, and cultural events. It is a space that does not merely store books, but breathes life into them. A walk through its halls is both a journey into history and a step toward a brighter, more informed future. As Saudi Arabia charts a bold new path through Vision 2030, institutions like the King Fahad National Library stand as pillars of enlightenment reminding us that true progress is impossible without education, and that culture is not only to be preserved, but to be celebrated. In Riyadh’s bustling heart, amid its towers and thoroughfares, the King Fahad National Library rises graceful, dignified, and enduring. It is not just a building. It is a promise: that knowledge will always have a home.

A modern architectural gem, the library wraps a new cuboid structure around the original 1980s building—creating a visually stunning mix of contemporary and traditional elements. A very beautiful water tower. It is one of the district landmarks of Riyadh. The first time I visited this water tower was during a School trip back in the 70’s and in which we went to the top of the tower. This time I visited the tower during Noor Riyadh 2024. 12.07.2023 So it was close to 2 months we had moved to Riyadh from Sharqiyah. We are living so close to this tower that we never noticed we’re living so close to a park. I always thought this tower provides water to this location, like any other water tower. Anyways, it’s a good place to visit. Economical, nicely maintained. Entry is 11 riyals irrespective of age and then you either go for each ride separately or buy a 40 riyals band that cover many rides for unlimited time. Food options are fine, no brand here and not many options.

Chalet 1 is the biggest and complete plus cleanest of all...there are i think 15 private chalets. Pools are small though and maximum 10 persons pet chalet. Food and drinks are allowed from outside...and they said you can use the park for free. We had an amazing experience.

This place is just amazing! Super fancy, super positive and beautiful. I love it when an event is happening there. Parking is a headache when there’s an event, generally depends on the event organizers. Love it! 5/5 These are some photos of one of the events that happened there recently.

Huge venue that can house conferences for over 5000 people easily. The air con staff operators were terrible in the tented conference hall as it was on full blast and everybody was complaining of the freezing temperature inside, and made many people just want to leave to warm up and avoid catching a flu. Remarkable and ironic for being in the dessert country. A toruturous experience

Great place to have fun with illusions. It’s not very huge. But spacious enough for a little fun with illusions. There are guides to assist you on how to take pictures. I like it how it’s inside a mall. You can come out and back to do some shopping/dinning. *As it’s inside the mall there are no toilets inside the museum. 🚽❌ *Family friendly 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 *Great for singles too 👬👭 *Partially Handicap accessible ♿️ *Food not allowed 🍔🍟🚫 *Smoking not allowed 🚭 Ambience 10/10 Prices 10/10 Parking 10/10

Initially we were very upset due to the close of the museum on our schedule date and time. However, we called up after 4 hours to find out the museum was having technical issues on their air conditioning. Therefore, we went back to the museum with the warm welcome and sincere apologies from their Director Ms Khadijah and other members. We felt warm with their hospitality and sincerity. We were having so much fun in exploring the illusion museum. We also would like to extend our appreciation to their staff Zaid for taking so much great pictures for us.

Inside the museum of illusions is really enjoyable. The illusions are both educational and fun, with most being interactive so can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. We spent about an hour going through the whole museum, you do need time to read and understand some of the displays. The attendant was very helpful and explained the illusion of the rooms to us and even told us where to stand for the best effects for the camera. Our only negative point was that the museum opened almost one hour after our 10am booking but overall it was well worth the time and money.

The Public Investment Fund Tower (PIF) in Riyadh stands at 385m, making it the city's tallest building. Its design draws inspiration from the crystals found in Saudi Arabia's wadis, promoting sustainability and internal openness by allowing natural light to illuminate workspaces while effectively managing intense heat. The tower's exterior features fins, gantries, and perforated panels that provide shade and enhance thermal efficiency.
The tennis tournament held at this venue was a highly enjoyable event. It featured a diverse lineup of matches and competitions, providing entertainment for a wide range of tennis fans. The facilities were well-maintained and the organization of the tournament was excellent, creating a pleasant experience for all who attended.

It’s was amazing experience visiting KAFD PIF TOWER The PIF tower's design is inspired by the crystals found in the wadis of Saudi Arabi's desert. It creates an internal openness allowing natural light to flow inside the workspaces while a high-performance solar control system moderates the intense light and heat. External layers of fins, gantries and perforated panels provide shade, amplifying the thermal efficiency of the triple-pane unitized glazing. Together, these devices minimize solar gain and allow internal cooling loads, reducing HVAC requirements. Electrical energy is reclaimed through a photovoltaic array installation on the tower's roof.

Went back for the second time and I'm not sure why initially we were denied entry - we just wanted a view of the 4 buildings and a cup of coffee. Like there is no clear protocol for denying entry. Eventually, security allowed us to go inside thus giving me a 4/5. Still, the vivid colours are ecstatic and you'd just be amazed for what technology was used to have synchronized color movement in the 4 buildings. Although the Mosque from outside looks huge the interior design is really muted, since it has small windows and almost no sunlight going in. Moreover, the Friday Imam's voice is low and the sermon(khotba) was extremely mundane. It's easy for people living there to go, but I wouldn't recommend someone to go there.

Government office
The Vision Realization Office 2030 at MOF is spearheading a significant policy transformation that aligns with Saudi Arabia's ambitious Vision 2030 initiative. This strategy aims to diversify the economy beyond its oil dependency and enhance international investment appeal. The new regulations allow expatriates residing in the Gulf region, as well as foreign investors from abroad, to acquire real estate in designated areas without needing Saudi citizenship.
