Museums
The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) in Doha, Qatar is a renowned landmark designed by architect M. Pei and opened in 2008. The museum's exterior facade resembles a mosque and changes color throughout the day. Inside, visitors can explore 1400 years of Islamic art through displays of glassware, ceramics, metalwork, jewelry, textiles, and manuscripts across five floors.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was absolutely amazed by the Museum of Islamic Art! The collection of Islamic symbols and artifacts left me in awe – every single piece is breathtaking and beautifully presented. The museum itself is stunningly designed, with each floor dedicated to a different theme, which makes the experience even more enriching. I could have easily spent much more time exploring, as there was so much to admire. My personal highlight was the golden amulet necklace – its intricate details and craftsmanship were simply mesmerizing. A truly unforgettable experience, highly recommended! 🌟

Absolutely love this museum such a wonderful ambience had coffee at the coffee shop. Overlooked the city views . Excellent photo opportunity on either side of the building don’t just go to one and miss the other. There’s a restaurant that’s open in the evening on the rooftop that I would love to try. The layout of the museum is well thought .

Nice museum, like 4 floors , very nice, expect to spend from 1.5 hours and up if you read everything 😀 👍 , very educational. Interesting. My suggestion come near sunset time it's so beautiful , the views amazing outside to the city.

Gazing at the magnificent architecture and view is rivalled only by the immense plethora of knowledge one is emerged it. It is definitely worth visiting. The museum displays Islamic history and modernity. Tickets are available at the entrance. Be ready for quite a walk, though you wouldn't notice it - once immersed in the vast ocean of knowledge.
Rizwana A — Google review
Very highly recommended. The museum itself is architecturally very beautiful, and the way in which so many beautiful artefacts are displayed is stunning. The story it tells of Islam is easy to understand and important to know. The view over to the Corniche is beautiful too.
Greg R — Google review
The visit to the Museum of Islamic Art was the highlight of my visit to Doha. The artifacts, pottery, and the beautiful items on display were absolutely awesome. The history of the growth of Islam over the different eras was a good learning experience. To visit the Islamic Museum is highly recommended.
Ismail M — Google review
Get ready to spend half a day or one full day enjoying art in the museum. Museum outlook itself is already a masterpiece 😌 there are permanent and temporary themes. Like me, I spent 4-5 hours admiring the art and lunch in the cafe (perfect view!) I got the museum silver pass as I was in the visiting the national museum (which is cheaper than paying each time)
Wing F — Google review
A breathtaking museum that tells a story far beyond Islam — tracing global trade, craftsmanship, and the Islamic world’s admiration for unmatched Chinese porcelain. The open atrium deceives you into expecting narrow halls, yet each gallery opens into vast light-filled spaces. Entry is 50 QAR, and a boat trip at the end gives the best view of I. M. Pei’s stunning design from the water.

Natural History Museums
The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) is a visually stunning museum that showcases the history and culture of Qatar. The museum's unique architecture, designed by Jean Nouvel, resembles an intricate desert rose and seamlessly integrates the historic Palace of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani. Visitors can explore immersive exhibitions that trace Qatar's evolution from a desert inhabited by Bedouin tribes to a global pearl-trading hub and a modern, oil-rich state.
The museum is for free entry for anyone who is going there for the first time, feel free to ask any questions that you may be interested in to, and have your hands filled with love ,joy and wonderful adventures. The guardian there is well advanced in his field and he will provide you with the best answers for your questions.♥️ BLACK APE INTL 🦍 recommended that for you

The uniquely designed museum taking you on a journey of Qatar and its rich cultural history and traditions. It is worth visiting and will be even better as there are still exhibits being added to the museum. You can get tickets upon entry, without an advance booking. If you go on a weekday, try to get there early.

Very nice! So well organised. Lovely to learn the history of Qatar. Very immersive with videos that transport you to a different time. There’s also an old palace within it Also offer free entry to students
Resham Q — Google review
The National Museum of Qatar is one of the country’s most iconic landmarks, showcasing Qatar’s rich history, culture, and heritage. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, its unique “desert rose” structure symbolizes the beauty of nature and Qatari identity. Inside, visitors can explore interactive exhibits, ancient artifacts, and multimedia displays that tell the story of Qatar’s past, present, and future. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone who wants to experience the true spirit and evolution of Qatar.
Mishal H — Google review
Architecturally beautiful but very spread out amongst 3 installations and hot walking in the heat (no shade) between venues. The restaurant didn't open until 12:30 so we didn't get to enjoy that. The permanent exhibition section is difficult to find and not well sign posted. They need coloured trail maks on the ground to show you where to go.
Ahn W — Google review
The National Museum of Qatar is conveniently located, making it easily accessible for visitors coming from various parts of the city. The museum itself is impressively large, offering a vast and immersive experience that covers the rich cultural and historical heritage of Qatar. Inside, you’ll find extensive exhibits filled with detailed information about Qatar’s past, including its traditions, natural history, and development over time. The museum features stunning statues of animals native to the region, adding a lifelike dimension to the storytelling. Additionally, the museum houses a well-curated art gallery showcasing local and regional art. Visitors will appreciate the use of visual and graphic support throughout the museum, including multimedia displays and interactive installations, which make learning engaging and memorable. Overall, the National Museum of Qatar is an excellent destination for anyone interested in understanding the depth and diversity of Qatari culture and history in a beautifully designed space. Very beatiful, i enjoyed there very much.

Katara Cultural Village is a waterfront complex in Doha that offers a blend of leisure, entertainment, and shopping. It pays homage to Qatar's past with its design as a traditional village featuring sandstone-hued lanes, mosques, cafes, boutiques, and coffee shops. The village also includes a 5,000-seater amphitheater overlooking the ocean where live concerts and entertainment take place.
Beautiful architecture 🥰 you can find many photographic frames. Ideal for all category of people. Recommended to visit after checking the weather conditions.
Vighnesh S — Google review
Do not visit at the daytime during summer, it’s scorching hot and you won’t be able to enjoy yourself at the place. There are gorgeous minarets and Islamic architecture but the place felt a little disjointed to me, as if some of the structures or tourist spots were thrown together rather haphazardly.
Julius T — Google review
What a beautiful setting. One part has outdoor air-conditioning. This plave would benefit from additional coffee shops, what exists already was extremely crouded. I wish they would extend the AC to the whole area... Lovely beach at the end.
Maha A — Google review
It is a unique blend of the infamous Arab luxury and European essence merged into a delightful experience. It caters to a wide variety of tastes and personalities. It is definitely worth visiting. I loved roaming through the village in the night. The atmosphere is indescribable, yet tranquil.
Rizwana A — Google review
Very beautiful open space with an amphitheatre. Has a port/ beach. Plan late evening here for beautiful little up scenery. And also to avoid the harsh sun. Lots of cafes near the amphitheatre side but can be a bit pricey

Oh my goodness. There are barely enough words to describe the beauty of this place. It was breathtaking, the architecture, the history, the monuments. Qataris have a way of making every building and site look unique and beautiful. The Katara Cultural Village was an incredible experience, and I learned so much from my tour guide about their culture and heritage. I wouldn’t mind visiting again.

Very live area with so many different touristic views and zones. A must visit is Katara Water Foundation, Katara waterfalls, Katara Gold Mosque and one of the most luxurious malls nearby (Gallerie La Fayette)
Na3oomah A — Google review
Katara Cultural Village is one of the most beautiful and inspiring places to visit in Doha. The grounds are stunning, with gorgeous architecture, peaceful walkways, and plenty to see and explore. The art galleries showcase incredible work, and the exhibits change often, so there’s always something new and interesting to discover. There are also many charming restaurants and cafés, each with its own atmosphere and style — perfect for relaxing after a stroll. Every corner of Katara offers a great photo opportunity, from the mosaics and archways to the sea views and amphitheater. It’s a perfect place to spend a few hours — whether you’re an art lover, a foodie, or just want to take in the beauty of Doha’s cultural heart.

Discover the vibrant atmosphere of Souq Waqif, a bustling market in Doha that offers a glimpse into traditional Arabian culture. Renovated to capture the essence of authentic souqs found in cities like Aleppo and Damascus, this open-air street market is filled with narrow alleys where merchants trade perfumes, handicrafts, jewelry, weavings, and silverware.
A vibrant and fascinating destination in the heart of Doha. This place offers a wide variety of goods that are sure to catch the interest of any tourist. From traditional souvenirs to unique local items, there's something for everyone. The area is also known for its numerous gold and perfume shops, perfect for those looking to take home something special. I had the chance to try several restaurants here — each offering delicious food and a taste of local flavor

One of the most distinctive and vibrant markets in the Gulf region. A must-visit destination that blends tradition, flavor, and atmosphere in a truly special way. --- ✅ Positive Aspects: • Authentic charm: The souq preserves traditional architecture and cultural spirit while offering a modern, welcoming experience. • Delicious food: Restaurants serve a wide variety of tasty dishes, from local Qatari cuisine to international options. • Beautiful seating areas: Outdoor and indoor seating is comfortable and atmospheric—perfect for relaxing with friends or family. • Lively at all hours: The market stays busy even late at night, which is rare in the Gulf. This adds to its energy and appeal. • No downsides: My experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

Lots of restaurants a lot of good vibes around you can spend the whole day over there have a lot of different kinds of food, sweets tea coffee drinks you name it you can find it and you can find All kinds of different prices and you can enjoy their anything that you are thinking of having a nice environment. Look at my pictures and you will definitely go there.

It's traditional market in center of Doha, but it's already become tourist attraction. Many cafes and restaurants with traditional buildings inside the market. It's nice to come here at night, not to hot and very attractive lamp decoration.
Lisa S — Google review
Compared to other Arab countries, the business atmosphere here is much less pushy, which is nice. Tourists can visit with peace of mind. At night, the area was packed with both locals and visitors, but it’s a great place to soak in the atmosphere and look for some souvenirs.
Ac U — Google review
One of the iconic places in Doha, the cafes, restaurants and shops are amazing and affordable , you can get a lot of traditional dresses, gifts and spices. Be sure to explore the central courtyard and watch the dhow boats bobbing in the water—it’s a beautiful blend of the old and new Doha.
Amar H — Google review
Souq Waqif in Doha, Qatar, is a renovated traditional market that masterfully blends historical Bedouin heritage with modern amenities. Originally a century-old trading hub, it features winding alleys with stalls selling spices, crafts, textiles, pearls, and even live animals like falcons, evoking authentic Qatari culture. Modern touches include air-conditioned paths, upscale boutiques, international restaurants offering diverse cuisines, art galleries, boutique hotels, and evening entertainment like live music and shisha spots. The vibrant, welcoming atmosphere makes it a social hub for locals and tourists. Underground parking available.
Feedback F — Google review
This place is amazing for shopping and photos, but some small vendors don’t take cards. Also, if you go during the day, it can be really hot, better to visit after sunset. So many interesting stalls and the architecture is gorgeous. Everyone was friendly, and we didn’t feel pressured to buy anything. Great place for gifts. Otherwise, a great place to explore and eat!

The fort features exhibitions of traditional handicrafts, wooden decorations, fishing equipment, boats, and historical photographs.
AlKoot Fort featured art installations by the artist Hadeer Omar during the Tasweer Photo Festival 2023. This was a great opportunity to highlight the artist's work and the cultural/ architectural heritage.

The United States helped Israel fire at Doha. That’s why the U.S. air-defense system stood down when the missile flew in. Qatar should join the Middle East bloc in becoming self-reliant before the U.S. uses Israel to seize all the oil fields.

I got to the fort in the evening so there were no camels that I saw in some of the photos. With the lights it look pretty but with walls rather low, even its tower, I wonder what role it serves as a fort. Maybe it is just my perception that fort needs to be high to be effective.

Aspire Park, the largest in the city at over 80 hectares, is a stunning green space featuring a lake, fountains, and playgrounds. Nestled behind the Villaggio and Hyatt Plaza, this expansive oasis offers a 1.6-kilometer jogging track and diverse aquatic life in its large lake.
Aspire Park is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend a visit. Beautifully kept gardens, lush green grass, lots of different trees, lots of shade and peaceful picnic spots. It doesn't feel like you are actually in a dessert country when you are at Aspire Park. Large man made lake with pedal boats for hire. Water fountains. Our favourite is the water bridge to walk through for a refreshing cool off. There are bike tracks all around the park, Jungle gyms, a skate venue and other outdoor equipment to enjoy. We love the fact that it's a save home to lots of birds, ducks, squirrels and we even found a tortoise. In the summer, because of the heat, the boat hire and little shops are closed during the day, and opens 4pm daily. But entry to the park is FREE, and it's amazing to enjoy the peace and space if you don't mind the heat during the morning. Lots of shady trees and the water bridge is great! At night it's a different experience with all the lights. Great visit either way.

Aspire Park NOT RECOMMENDED I visited the park as a solo male traveler. As I was entering, a security guard came up to me and said the park was for “families only,” and that I wasn’t allowed to enter alone. I tried to joke with him, saying, “I’m my own family,” but let’s just say he didn’t find it funny haha. In the end, I pretended to walk away, then sneaked in through another path — successfully. The park itself is… well, just a park. Lots of open space, some trees, kids playing football, and families picnicking everywhere. Security and staff were all over the place, and it felt quite crowded. I walked around and explored every area, then left through the same path I came in — passing the same guard who stopped me earlier. I stared him dead in the eye as I walked out. Felt so good 😂 Clarification: Who’s allowed to enter freely: • Adults with kids • Solo females • Males wearing sports attire (looks like they’re going to exercise) Who’s not allowed: • Groups of males • Solo males who don’t appear to be entering for sports Remember guys, even if they don’t let you in, just do it. Don’t be a wuss

Barzan Towers, also known as the Umm Salal Mohammed Fort Towers, are 19th-century watchtowers located in the suburbs of Doha in Umm Salal Mohammed village. These towers were built with coral stone and limestone to serve as a lookout for approaching ships and protect local water sources. The architectural design is a rectangular building with three storeys and an external staircase, showcasing exceptional Arabian architectural style.
Visited Barzan Towers around midday. Very quiet & very hot. The Manager/Caretaker, a kind hearted soul, took us on a personal tour of the site. He opened up the towers & Mosque. Allowed us go to the top of the towers (be-warned , very steep steps & you need to kneel down to get through the tiny exits). The caretaker gave us tea at the end. May Allah (SWT) reward & bless him.
Rizwan Q — Google review
This was useful to see if in the area. What would have made it even better is if there was some more information available as not all buildings have boards to explain what they were and you couldnt go to the top of the towers. The sunset in the area was beautiful
Genette L — Google review
Barzan Tower It’s about a 10 km drive from Doha (my Uber cost 25 QAR). There’s no entry fee. A staff member near the entrance will ask you to write down your name and where you’re from — that’s all, and then you can enter for free! There isn’t much to see, though. You’ll find some old towers and buildings where you can climb to the top for a nice view of the surroundings, but you can’t go inside the main structure. My visit took about 20 minutes in total, and I managed to get some nice photos. If you have extra time and nowhere else to go, it’s worth a quick stop — but not really a must-visit. Still, it’s free, peaceful, and the staff are very friendly, so that’s definitely a plus :)

While this place is currently under repair, I was able to get in before it all happened. I and my mother were the only people there at the time. Such a peaceful place with an interesting story. Do yourself a favour and read about it before going as it makes the journey slightly outside the main city even more worth it. A great spot to pretend like you're an old world explorer.
Andrew B — Google review
Beautiful site rich of history & true heritage of Qatar culture. The sunset view from the towers is breath taking and highly recommended to visit and enjoy the beautiful site view and experience the real history and culture.
Jamil C — Google review
Fascinating architectural style though constructed in recent times. It would have been even better if the towers had been open to climb to the top.
David M — Google review
The Barzan Towers were built in the late 19th century and were renovated in the early 20th century to serve as watchtowers against the incoming Ottoman soldiers. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we couldn't get inside the towers. But I would recommend to visit this place.
Mrs. G — Google review
Quite interesting to see these old watchtowers. You are able to climb the stairs inside up to the roof area for a good view. Not too sure if I'd take young children as steps are quite steep.

Very Nice place to chill in the evening. The Dhow cruise experience is very nice. All dhow operators are very polite and price is reasonable. A must do activity when you are in Doha. There are certain points for e-Bike rentals.

Qatar Corniche is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and enjoy the sea view. We can see many people coming here for jogging and cycling, choosing this route for its clean and scenic atmosphere. Especially the morning view — it’s absolutely speechless! Perfect spot for families and evening walks too

My favorite place weve visited so far. We took a boat ride in the marina to see to the night lights. Absolutely incredible
Candice R — Google review
My scenic tour along the Corniche was a picturesque one, (though on my visit the hazy weather did my photos no justice,) I was happy to be at this beautiful Promenade with lovely harbour views. From the Dhow boats in the harbourfront, to the beautiful downtown Doha skyline, a nice leisurely walk along the foot path could lead you into Al Dafna Park and seems a tranquil place in the evening. Another area of interest...hopefully for a future visit

The collection is huge, from international books to rare manuscripts in the Heritage Library. Staff are always welcoming and helpful, and the facilities are very well organized with modern technology. I especially love the comfortable study areas and the quiet environment during weekdays. A must-visit for anyone living in or visiting Qatar!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My visit to the Qatar National Library was an absolutely magical experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the sheer beauty and architectural brilliance of the building. The open, light-filled space and the towering shelves of books create an atmosphere of both grandeur and serenity. But what truly makes this library special is its heart. It’s more than just a repository of books; it's a vibrant community hub. I saw children excitedly exploring the dedicated kids' section, students collaborating in quiet study pods, and people of all ages simply losing themselves in a good book. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and their passion for literature was contagious. The highlight for me was the heritage library, a true treasure trove of historical documents and rare manuscripts. It felt like a journey through time, a testament to Qatar's rich history and its commitment to preserving knowledge. Leaving the Qatar National Library, I felt a deep sense of peace and inspiration. It's a place that celebrates learning, fosters community, and honors the timeless magic of books. Must visit, if you are there in Qatar. Can be accessed by metro- green line. Designed by the famous architect Rem Koolhas, the building is extraordinary and superb. Be mindful of the rules. Photography with a professional camera is prohibited unless you clear the formalities. Mobile photography is fine, i guess. There is no entry fee. Visitors who plan to read have many reading areas distributed around. There is a cafe inside, incase you want to sip anything while exploring. Internet facility is also available. Feel free to stroll through the education city if you are free. Tram facility is available incase you dont want to walk. You can even visit QF Ceremonial Court which is pretty near.
Ambruu — Google review
My visit to the Qatar National Library (QNL) was stunning. The library’s architecture, designed by Rem Koolhaas, is incredible—it looks like a vast, folded piece of paper, flooding the interior with light. The experience successfully blends the past and the future. I was particularly struck by the rare volumes in the sunken Heritage Library, which truly honors Qatar’s history. In contrast, the modern spaces offer cutting-edge Innovation Stations with 3D printers and media labs. It’s more than just a place for books; it’s a dynamic center for creation, study, and community engagement.
Kriti T — Google review
Qatar National Library is one of the most beautiful and advanced libraries I’ve ever visited. The architecture is stunning — bright, spacious, and perfectly designed for readers and researchers. The building itself feels calm and inspiring, filled with natural light and modern facilities. The collection is huge — from rare historical books and maps to modern publications and digital resources. There’s also a special Heritage Library that displays ancient manuscripts and items from Arab and Islamic history. The staff are very kind and helpful, and the environment is peaceful — perfect for studying, reading, or simply relaxing. There are also sections for children and youth, plus innovation spaces like media studios and 3D printing labs. Getting there is easy with the metro (QNL Station), and parking is also available. The entrance is free, and anyone living in Qatar can register as a member. A must-visit place in Doha — peaceful, educational, and truly world-class.

Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, also known as Mathaf, is a contemporary museum located in Doha's Education City. Established in 2010, it features over 6,300 pieces of Arabian art dating from the 19th century to the present day. The museum is housed in a renovated building designed by French architect Jean-Francois Bodin. Under the patronage of H.E.
It’s a very fine music with lots of paintings and artwork, we came across Gerome’s exhibition when we came. It’s very quiet with no one else around and it’s a Sunday 😂 lots of security guys in the museum to make sure you don’t touch the artwork. You can’t bring your bag in but there are lockers to keep your valuables. There is wifi and toilets here. Best part is free entrance!

From the metro stop at education city right out of the rotating glass door is the tram stop . Blue line takes you to the adjacent entrance of the museum, you can ask the security staff at those locations really helpful. Into the entrance to the museum area to your left iscthe door leading to the museum showcase area. Since.this was a film oriented showing, the setup was good with nice acoustics, oh the highlight is the mega projector screen that may keep you in one room enjoying the view plus the story. It is well curated in that there is a flow of movement starting from the ground floor that has rooms setup to showcase the films listed. Then the first floor that had a variety of art pieces lined up on the walls . As one line I recall , a tree taken is made as a depiction of what a tree could be .paraphrased. this is from the abstract art area.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall ambiance of the museum was clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone interested in culture, history, or art. Looking forward to visiting again!

This is one of the best museums in Doha to appreciate modern art in the city. The entrance is free and there are two floors. The permanent collections are on the second floor, but unfortunately, only one of the five galleries was possible to be visited. They had a very good collection of the works of Jean Léon Gérôme on the ground floor.
Reza N — Google review
What a venu, what a permanent collection and what an exhibition about Gerome. Not my first visit but always a treat whenever I am in Doha. Can't wait to see what Lusail Musuem will show when it is open. Free entry. Free lockers.
Salam M — Google review
We were very disappointed with our experience at the museum. Before our trip, we had carefully checked the information on the official website to make sure it would be open. However, when we arrived after a 20-minute taxi ride, we were told at the entrance that it was closed. The staff member we spoke with was neither helpful nor understanding of the situation, and showed no concern for the inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to leave right away. It’s really frustrating and disappointing that such poor communication and lack of consideration spoiled what should have been a cultural highlight of our visit.
Sonia K — Google review
I came specifically for Seeing Is Believing: The Art and Influence of Gérôme exhibition and was amazed how great it was. Such a great exhibition, with beautiful works of Gerome. Thank you Mathaf
Menya M — Google review
Despite being a very small museum and located 20-30 minutes away from Doha City Center, the museum is worth the time and effort. The museum spans over two floors with the upper floor having the permanent items while the ground floor having the temporary items. Entrance is free. The place is easy to navigate. There are stairs and lifts between the two floors. Worth spending 30-60 minutes here. The museum is located within the Qatar Educational City.

The Souq Waqif Falcon Hospital is a unique market dedicated to falconry, offering trained birds and related equipment such as hoods and jesses. The souq also features a falcon hospital where visitors can observe fundamental procedures for treating and caring for these treasured birds.
This is a veterinary hospital that treats specially birds. If you wanna see falcons here's the ideal place in Doha. Falcons can be seen even outside of the hospital. I didn't have time to go into the hospital to observe. But was able to capture few close ups of the falcons.

Located next to Souq Waqif, the Falcon Souq is definitely a place to visit. I went there in the morning at around 0800 and it was pleasantly quiet and an excellent time to stroll around and take pictures. Most of the shops allowed me to go inside to look at the falcons and to take pictures. I also visited the Falcon hospital - apparently the only dedicated falcon hospital in the world. The market itself has an interesting architecture / building style. There are some beautiful horses too and the view of Doha skyline, the water and Dhows (traditional boats) just outside the Souq is stunning.
Hans T — Google review
The Falcon Souq, which is close to the Souq Waqif, is an interesting look into the sport of falconry, with a dozen or so shops that sell the birds and related paraphernalia, such as hoods, stands, gloves, leashes, and the like. The falcons can sell for $600 to as much as $100,000, depending upon the skill of a particular bird. There's even a falcon hospital on the grounds of the souq. Falcons are generally kept hooded to keep them calm until their handlers wish to put them into "hunting mode." It was fascinating and a bit unnerving to be so close to these raptors. Note that there is a "bird market" within the Souq Waqif. That market is NOT the falcon market, but specializes in other sort of birds as pets, e.g., parrots, pigeons, parakeets, and the like. The falcon market is nearby, so just ask one of the shopkeepers how to get to the falcon shops.

Visiting the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque was a truly memorable experience. We arrived on a weekday around 10 a.m. and were pleasantly surprised to find the mosque nearly empty, giving us a peaceful, unhurried opportunity to admire the stunning architecture in quiet awe. Another beautiful venue to visit whilst in Doha. Takes about 20 to 30 min walk from the West Bay metro station. Alternatively there is a bus (107 i believe) which goes from West Bay to the Mosque. The Mosque gardens are beautiful. The Mosque itself is lovely too and super spacious inside. The office / library area hands out Islamic books for free in multiple languages (which doesn't relate to me) , and hand out more appropriate clothing for women and men where required.

The Katara Mosque in Doha is a stunning architectural gem located at the heart of the Katara Cultural Village. The mosque features intricate and colorful tile exteriors with gold accents, inspired by architectural styles from various regions. Its outstanding minaret, mosaic tiles, inscriptions, and artistic handicrafts make it a must-see attraction. Visitors are impressed by the beautifully ornate exterior and welcoming interior of the mosque.
The blue mosque is one of two mosques in Katara (the other one is the golden). This one is a little bit bigger and architectural more attractive. You can enter and even watch a short video introducing the mosque and some religious background. The personnel was exceptionally nice.

We only had a few hours in Dubai but fortunate enough to be able to do an airport tour. This included what is called the Blue or Katara Mosque which is located in the Katara Cultural Village. It is renowned for its predominantly blue exterior, featuring impressive glass mosaic art and hand-painted ceramic tiles with colors like turquoise, purple, gold, and blue. The mosque has a unique Islamic star shape with a detached minaret and nine central domes, incorporating any architectural styles. It is both a place of worship and a cultural attraction.
Ross D — Google review
The Katara Mosque is simply beautiful. The blue and gold mosaics sparkle with so much detail, and the minaret looks enchanting when it’s lit up at night. It’s not only a place of prayer but also a work of art that makes you stop and admire.

Strolling through Katara Cultural Village, I unknowingly encountered an impressively unique masjid. The design and style lends much from the Turkish Ottoman period. An architectural wonder and truly worth the visit. I recommend visiting before 9pm if you wish to immerse yourself in its wonder.

Katara Mosque A beautiful mosque located inside the Katara Cultural Village. The design is stunning — covered in colorful mosaic tiles and glass that sparkle under the sun. Anyone can enter for free, even non-Muslims (like me). You just need to take off your shoes before going inside. The staff are very friendly, and when you go inside they’ll show you a short video about the mosque and Islam (about 5 minutes long). After that, you’re free to walk around and explore at your own pace. This was my first time entering a mosque, and I was really amazed — the inside is very beautiful and peaceful. Overall, a welcoming and memorable experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Katara.
Ong ( — Google review
Tucked away within the vibrant Katara Cultural Village, the Katara Mosque is an architectural treasure that often surprises visitors with its quiet beauty and ornate detail. Unlike the flashier Golden Masjid nearby, this mosque stuns with intricate tilework in shades of blue, turquoise, and gold, designed by the renowned Turkish architect Zeynep Fadıllıoğlu. Every inch of the mosque feels like a carefully crafted work of art. Design and Detail The exterior is covered in dazzling mosaic tiles and Arabic calligraphy, while the minaret and domes create an elegant silhouette against the Doha sky. It’s a beautiful example of how Islamic architecture can be both grand and inviting. Even if you’re just passing through, the craftsmanship will make you stop and admire. Atmosphere and Setting Set in a peaceful courtyard just a few steps from the Katara Amphitheatre, the mosque offers a sense of calm amid the buzz of events and exhibitions in the cultural village. It’s a reflective space that adds depth to the Katara experience—not just visually, but spiritually too. Tips for Visitors While the mosque is open to worshippers, non-Muslims can admire it from the outside and take photos. Be sure to visit during daylight hours to appreciate the full beauty of the tiles, which shimmer under the sun. Modest dress is recommended out of respect. Final Thoughts The Katara Mosque is a place that quietly impresses. It’s not about size or grandeur—it’s about the exquisite artistry and serenity it brings to Katara. The Pearl Monument, located at the Doha Corniche in Qatar, is a significant tribute to the country's history of pearl diving. Depicting an open oyster shell with a large pearl inside, it symbolizes Qatar's rich maritime heritage. The monument stands as a reminder of the nation's past reliance on pearling before its oil industry boom.
The Pearl Monument in Doha is a symbolic landmark that pays homage to Qatar’s rich pearling history, a cornerstone of the country’s heritage before the oil and gas era. Located near the entrance of the Doha Corniche, this stunning sculpture features a giant open oyster with a pearl inside, set against the backdrop of the sea and city skyline. It’s a favorite spot for photos, especially at night when it’s beautifully illuminated. Visitors often stop by while exploring nearby attractions like the Souq Waqif and the Museum of Islamic Art, making it a charming and culturally significant point of interest.
Vijay D — Google review
A beautiful, relatively small monument shaped like a large oyster in homage to Qatar's past history with pearls being a very important export in the old days. We passed it on our way as we were going to walk the entire Corniche Promenade (Al Corniche) all the way to the West Bay area.
Tom A — Google review
Located right by the marina where many dhow boats are docked. Across from Souq Waqif. It’s a nice sculpture. I was there on Friday evening, moderate crowd. Many people trying to get in a picture. Some people climb into the water, don’t think that is safe/sanitary but to each their own. It’s good for a quick photo opp if you’re shopping or eating by the souq.
Tam — Google review
The Pearl calmly flows water through it, surrounded by busy street and jetty, depicts peace in chaos. Gets little crowded around the Pearl in evening by locals and tourist. 20~30min boat rides start near the Pearl going up to new Doha, Al Corniche is a wonderful experience. In the evening the Pearl is lighted up with changing colours.

Khalifa International Stadium, located in Doha, Qatar, is a renowned 40,000-seat open-air arena that has been hosting iconic international sporting events since its establishment in 1976. As the country prepares to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, this stadium will take center stage as one of Qatar's premier football venues with a capacity for 68,000 spectators.
This review is basically for the 3-2-1 Olympic museum. Really cool place for enhancing knowledge on sports and olympics. Also the games section will give you a solid forearm workout 😂. Awesome overall.
Muhammad S — Google review
Modern, Comfortable & Iconic Khalifa International Stadium is a standout venue in Doha. Its sleek dual-arch design is both modern and iconic. Inside, the temperature is comfortably cool, thanks to advanced cooling systems. The stadium is easily accessible via the nearby Sports City Metro Station, making it convenient for fans. Whether you're attending a football match or an athletics event, the atmosphere is always electric. A must-visit for sports enthusiasts in Qatar.
Mohamed A — Google review
The view from the stands isn’t the best — I think it’s because the stadium used to have a running track that was later removed. As a result, you’re quite far from a clear view. However, the atmosphere is good and the lighting is excellent. The situation is disastrous if you go by car, and when I preferred to use the metro, it was even worse — the capacity was far below what was needed to handle the crowd.
Mohsen A — Google review
The architecture of the stadium is top notch. It is one of the largest stadium and easy accessible from Doha city. Located next to the Aspire zone, this stadium has ample parking facilities. The music system surrounding the stadium is very good. The seats are decent and the illumination inside the stadium is very good. The stadium is equipped with the refreshment stalls
Surya N — Google review
A must see in Qatar! Brilliant open-air stadium with 40,000 capacity. Came here during the Asian Cup. Staff organised the crowds well, the food stores within the stadium were fast and efficient, and the stadium was very clean overall.

1) It's near to train @ metro station (Sport City Station) which only 5 to 10 minutes away from the stadium. 2) There's a prayer room for the Muslim. 3) There's air-conditioning inside the stadium (yes, even it's an open seats area). 4) At night the stadium and the surrounding become more beautiful as the night lightning make the surrounding more colourful at night. 5) Overall it's indeed a World Class @ World Cup Stadium.
Mio N — Google review
Was lucky enough to watch the Qatar WC 2022 3rd place match here. The atmosphere inside and outside the stadium was mind blowing and sets a very festive vibe all over. The stadium is also air conditioned which helps the spectators during summer to enjoy the game well. Definitely a one of a kind experience.
Sumesh S — Google review
This is the most beautiful place I've ever been... It's a five star stadium located at the heart of a city. The security here is very high and safety is the number one priority. The segregation of the locations of different sporting activities is also well done. The rooms are well labelled and the staffs working here are friendly and experienced. I enjoyed being here. Next time I'll update photos with how the field looks like whenever there is a game.

The park boasts a human maze, gymnasiums (including one for women), outdoor exercise equipment, playgrounds, an open-air theater seating 850 people, and tracks for bicycles, horses, and camels.
Best park in Doha, perfect for anybody regardless of whether they're families or just friends hanging out. The greenery here really gives a touch of nature that more often than not is missing in every big city in the world. Recommended.

The park is not only big and huge, but also clean. Nice place for doing sport, family gahering or just playing with kids. Some times we can find the outing activities which held there, such as coffee and chocolate exhibition. The park is also safe for ladies who are doing sport at evening alone.

A very extensive city park. Beautifully maintained greenery, which, in this climate, certainly costs a lot of effort and a lot of water. There are fountains, but of not very attractive appearance. The only shade can be found under the trees. Some sort of canopy would be useful here. There are no people in the park during the day - it is known to be so hot here. The only place to park is in a large underground car park, for 1 QAR per hour.

Al Bidda Park is stunning! Beautifully landscaped gardens, abundant bird life, heritage and amazing architecture. Various sports activities, bookings are essential. Children's play areas and endless of bike and running tracks. Clean, neat and modern braai and picnic facilities, book one day in advance. A place to explore, relax, spend time with family and friends or to exercise. It's centrally located in West Bay, easy to access. Al Bidda Park is also walking distance from the beautiful Corniche.

Located in the heart of Doha, Al Thumama Stadium is a stunning architectural wonder designed by Qatari architect Ibrahim M. Jaidah. With a capacity of 40,000 seats, the stadium draws inspiration from the traditional gahfiya headpiece worn across the Gulf region. Its circular design and intricate diamond-patterned exterior are truly captivating.
Modern Stadium, Great Fan Experience! Al Thumama Stadium is an impressive venue—its contemporary design, inspired by the traditional gahfiya, really sets it apart. The seating is comfortable with excellent sightlines, and fan facilities are top-notch, from clean restrooms to efficient concessions. Getting in and out was smooth, even with larger crowds. The overall atmosphere was electric—perfect for both local matches and international fixtures. A must-visit for any football fan in Doha!

Horrendous long walk from the carpark, I am partially disabled and wasn't expecting a 4 mile walk and so many flights of stairs at the ground. Plus not allowed to take a bottle of water in. A nightmare for me, but ground was nice and clean, great design, I had hoped disabled would be allowed a short cut, but no.

It's vast clean and well maintained. Been here in January 2024 for an AFC cup match. It has food kiosk inside the stadium, clean toilets and prayer rooms. The exterior is unique. It looks like an Arabic cap. They provide the bus from the metro station (the nearest metro station is Free Zone) to the stadium. It can accommodate a lot of spectators. It makes easy for people to go for watching match in the stadium. Thank you Qatar!

The Pearl Island offers a glossy, curated urban experience with waterside flair and high-end amenities—but comes at a steep price, and many residents feel the glamour hides emptiness, poor long-term planning, and lack of community warmth. Msheireb Museums offer a fascinating look into Qatar’s history across four beautifully restored heritage houses. Each museum tells a different story, from family life to the discovery of oil and the history of slavery, using well-curated exhibitions with bilingual signage. The architecture is stunning and perfect for photography, and admission is free. It would be even better with a few more interactive or multimedia elements, but overall it’s a meaningful and visually beautiful experience right in downtown Doha. Highly recommended!

Free museums introducing the evolution of Qatari society and the development of oil industry. Four locations in total. The area gives different vibes from the traditional market of Souq Waqif. Staff are all friendly. Not crowded at all. Great place to visit.
Jerry X — Google review
It is an interesting cluster of 4 individual blocks, with 1 being across the road. All 4 blend into the surrounding architecture, so it is easy to not know where to look or start. However, there is a sign at the entrance of each block and polite people at the reception who will guide you. This is a free museum and the displays are quite self explanatory. I personally liked the experience of walking around and seeing things at my pace. Each block have toilet facility too. My word of caution would be to avoid open sandals. I suffered wearing an open toe sandal as the small sand grains and pebbles got into my feet while I was accessing the 1st block. It isn't a grand building and one is quite capable of taking sometime trying to figure out where to start from, but it is a nice quiet way to showcase the history and culture of Doha, as each block has a different focus subject theme.

Sidra Medicine is a hospital and biomedical research center designed by renowned architect Cesar Pelli, known for iconic structures like the Petronas Towers. The building's design, resembling sails of a ship, pays homage to Qatar's maritime heritage. Inside, tranquil healing gardens with greenery and water elements are housed within naturally lit atriums. This state-of-the-art facility specializes in exceptional pediatric care and services with world-class infrastructure for women and child healthcare.
10/10, from the spacious and breathtaking interior to their doctors and staff. Friendly, nice and not frustrated with you. Amazing facilities and service. I did surgery there once and I felt so comfortable. This one staff watched over me very intently and was extremely patient with me to help me heal. I love this hospital!!

It was difficult to find the right location for the appointment as there are so many parking spaces and different departments so it was a long walk to the department. As of the service it was great very friendly staff and doctor, but while going to the lab no one explained what to do it was quite confusing as we waited for no reason!! I entered my appointment on time , others were complaining that they waited for 1 hour !! Overall it was good.. Building and interior was amazing and clean with cafes inside and I spotted 51east gift shop..

After more than a year of my daughter’s daily struggle with recurrent diarrhea and visiting more than ten doctors outside Sidra Medicine without finding a clear diagnosis, we finally had the privilege of meeting Dr. Tahani Al Mughaizwi at Sidra. With her remarkable expertise and precise diagnostic skills, she identified the issue within minutes and prescribed the perfect treatment. We are deeply grateful for her professionalism, compassion, and the relief she brought to our family. Thank you, Dr. Al Mughaizwi — you truly made a difference.

Disappointed by Mental Health Referral Rejection I feel compelled to share my recent experience in hopes of prompting reflection and improvement. I was referred by my physician for mental health services at this hospital, expecting a supportive and accessible process during a time I genuinely needed care. Unfortunately, the referral was rejected without a clear explanation or any meaningful guidance on alternative options. This left me feeling incredibly frustrated, dismissed, and disheartened. The lack of transparency and communication around why I was turned away only added to the stress I was already experiencing. Being referred by a trusted physician should carry weight, and I expected the hospital to uphold a higher standard of coordination and compassion. To be fair, my experience with other departments at this hospital has been adequate, but the way this mental health referral was handled was deeply disappointing. I hope the hospital revisits its referral process and prioritizes timely, respectful mental health access for patients who are actively seeking help

Very pathetic service, very disappointing customer support team. They are not helpful, and don’t show any courtesy towards patients need. I had been waiting three months for this appointment and just Because I was late few minutes they cancelled my appointment. I was literally begging them to make any room but they were stubborn. I would never recommend this place or would appreciate the system.

Al Riwaq Gallery, situated near the Museum of Islamic Art, is a versatile art space that hosts workshops, lectures, and exhibitions. With a capacity to accommodate up to 400 people outdoors and 150 indoors (or 250 for standing events), it overlooks the MIA park. The museum's collection showcases Islamic art from various continents spanning over thirteen centuries. Additionally, Al Riwaq Gallery is located near the scenic Corniche promenade with its array of cultural attractions and stunning views.
A separate exhibition space, the Al Riwaq Art Space, only houses temporary exhibits. Presently, the art space is hosting an exhibition by Jeff Koons. The layout of this art space is different from the museum of Islamic art, although it occupies the same grounds as the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA). The space was very well set up and brightly lit. There's a very calm atmosphere to the exhibition, which is thought-provoking and intriguing.

A stunning and colorful outdoor exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art Park. Yayoi Kusama’s giant sculptures, like the famous pumpkin and shiny silver balls, made the space feel magical. The Infinity Room with its endless lights was a highlight. A fun, unique art experience that brought color and creativity to Doha.

Al Riwaq ensures world-class, prime art exhibitions and experiences. Artists who have been exhibited includes Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama and currently a phenomenal Orientalist art exhibition showcasing a collection of intelligently curated artworks. I have only had positive and lingering memories of the exhibitions here and visit the exhibitions numerous times due to the quality of work. The staff are very helpful and willing to assist with queries and information. It is family friendly and the content easily accessible for all ages. The gallery ensures that there are enough information and guidance for a thoroughly thought-provoking, or just a pleasantly relaxing experience. It is situated in MIA park and in walking distance of the MIA art museum therefore a double whammy of culture and leisure. Souq Waqif is also a comfortable walk away for great cuisine and shopping.

Al Riwaq Gallery is hosting Jeff Koons’s first exhibition in the Gulf region wich provides a unique view into his exceptional career as one of the best-known contemporary artists. In the 1990s, he created a series of huge steel sculptures imitating oblong balloon toys. Playing with such balls, as Koons said, in childhood made an impression on him, which has not been erased to this day.

The national mosque of Qatar, also referred to as the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque, holds a significant capacity of 30,000 individuals and stands as the largest in the country. It seamlessly blends elements of modern and traditional Arabic architecture. Visitation hours are limited to times outside regular prayer sessions. This mosque, known as Qatar State Mosque or Abd al-Wahhab Mosque, boasts an impressive exterior with magnificent vistas overlooking West Bay.

I love that masjid. It just feels and reminds me of the masjid I used to go to growing up. Nothing to fancy and showie showie, which I like. Clean and spacious and always smells nice. Though, sadly, they don't do any lectures or teachings after Friday prayers ( like they used to do in Ramadan) this is the state masjid, so at least go over and above with Islamic teachings and not like pray and go home. I love going there and sitting and reciting the Quran and praying .. They have chairs u could use if you have back problems and always have bottles of water to drink ( at least on Friday prayers )

Nestled within the vibrant Katara Cultural Village, the Arab Postal Stamps Museum is a hidden gem that opened its doors in 2010. This unique museum showcases an impressive collection of stamps from 22 Arab nations, each piece telling a story about the rich cultures and traditions of these countries. Visitors can marvel at stamps that span various themes and historical periods, with the oldest dating back to 1927 from Jordan.
Excellent place to spend a few minutes, located close to Katara Mosque. Relatively modern stamps but also interesting historic currency notes also displayed. No admission charge.

During the World Cup Qatar 2022, it was displaying the Qatar 2022 special series stamps: Qatar team, stadiums, Laeeb, FIFA, etc also there was a huge exhibition with stamps related to all World Cups from world wide collectors. Even from the same collectors, there was some autographed jerseys. I am attaching some pictures: World Cup Stadium stamps The King Pelé Maradona autographed jersey

Arab Postal Stamps Museum, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of history and culture preserved within its walls. The museum's collection of postal stamps from various Arab countries offered a fascinating insight into the region's diverse heritage and artistic expressions. As I wandered through the exhibits, I was struck by the intricate designs, vibrant colors, and rich symbolism depicted on the stamps, each telling a unique story of its origin and significance. The layout of the museum was thoughtfully arranged, allowing visitors to explore the stamps chronologically and thematically, providing a cohesive narrative of the Arab world's postal history. Informational displays and interactive exhibits further enhanced my understanding of the stamps' historical context and cultural importance, making the experience both educational and engaging. One of the highlights of my visit was learning about the evolution of postal communication in the Arab world and its role in connecting people across borders and cultures. The museum's dedication to preserving and showcasing these valuable artifacts is commendable, as it serves as a valuable resource for both collectors and enthusiasts interested in philately and the region's postal heritage. Overall, my time at the Arab Postal Stamps Museum was enriching and inspiring, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in history, culture, or art.

At first we were impressed of the Design when we were standing in Front of the Building and even after entering it. But very fast we recognized that inside there are many Shops and Restaurants but all of it are looking simple designed and the offered items (goods) were looking quite cheap. Cheap in this sense has nothing to do with prices. Comparing to this the Villagio Mall has a better Design and better Shops.

City Center Doha is one of the oldest and most beloved malls in the city, and it’s easy to see why it remains a favorite for both locals and visitors. While it has been around for years, what’s truly impressive is how the mall keeps improving to meet the needs of its shoppers. Walking through City Center, you can feel the balance between its rich history and modern upgrades. The variety of stores is fantastic, offering everything from fashion and electronics to beauty products and home essentials. It’s also a great place for families, with plenty of entertainment options like the cinema, ice rink, and kids’ play areas. One standout spot is the Carrefour hypermarket, which is spacious and well-stocked. The fresh fruits and vegetables are always top quality, and the new Market Fresh section adds a nice touch with its selection of fresh food items. Plus, the newly opened small restaurant inside Carrefour is perfect for grabbing a quick bite after a shopping spree. Another thing worth mentioning is how much effort the mall has put into improving the parking area. Finding a spot used to be a challenge, but now it’s much more organized and convenient, making the whole shopping experience smoother from start to finish. City Center Doha may be one of the city’s oldest malls, but its commitment to enhancing the customer experience keeps it fresh and relevant. Whether you’re running errands, enjoying a meal, or spending a day with family, it’s a place that feels welcoming and constantly evolving.

I visited during Doha International book fair 2025 and it was worth visiting, thousands of books from many different publishing houses. Management was very good.
Mohammed A — Google review
A disappointing experience that didn’t match the expectations I had upon arriving in Doha. The venue’s lack of organization and professionalism was surprising, especially for a country known for its modern development. --- ✅ Positive Aspects: • Doha’s first impression: When I landed at the airport and walked through the city, I was genuinely impressed. The streets, infrastructure, and overall vibe gave me the feeling of a modern, efficient country—similar to Dubai. --- ❌ Negative Aspects: • Unclear entrances: The exhibition center had poorly marked access points, making it difficult to find the right way in. • Small venue: The space felt limited and underwhelming compared to major exhibition centers like those in Dubai. • Poor event coordination: The event was listed online to start at 9 AM. We arrived at 10, only to be told it was delayed to 11—and then again to 12. This was extremely frustrating, especially for international visitors who had planned their schedules carefully. • Unprofessional handling: Such disorganization reflects poorly on the country’s image. It was disappointing to see a key venue fail to match the level of development seen elsewhere in Doha.

Shopping mall
Al Mirqab Mall is a luxurious shopping destination in Doha, Qatar, offering a blend of brand-name stores, restaurants, and entertainment options. Situated on one of the city's oldest shopping streets, the mall combines modern amenities with Qatari traditions. Its open-air feel is achieved through large glass windows and promenade entrances within air-conditioned spaces. The stunning architecture includes a glass roof that allows ample natural light to showcase the mall's design.
Al Mirqab Mall is one of the best malls in Doha. It has many shops, great restaurants, and fun play areas for kids. The cinema is excellent, and the mall is always clean and well-maintained. Perfect for shopping, eating, and spending time with family.

The mall has a great and lively location, however the mall is surprisingly empty, it has few stores and restaurants compared to the huge space. Last week I went, I asked about some stores and they all closed. The bathrooms also are very old and a mess, it’s not up to the level that we see in other malls in Qatar. I don’t why this mall is neglected like this while it has huge potential.
Sou K — Google review
It’s nice but extremely quite. Lots of showrooms are either closed or under renovation. Few nice cafes are here.
Muhammed A — Google review
It was a very nice looking mall. Old school yes, but it was clean, it’s a shame that it looks like it might be about to close with all the stores that are already gone. hopefully some new investors come along and revitalize this place

It's an air conditioned Mall. Good for kids. Kids are provided some free activities for drawing. Painting and learning by volunteer groups who are always welcoming. The fountain is a speciality with the kids. There is carfour. Daiso, and many restaurants. Good place to spend some nice time with family. There is kids play area which needs opinions from kids themselves

I swung by that mall yesterday. It was right next to my hotel! The mall was huge, and the vibe was wild, but it was quite empty because of the heat. I even offered prayers there since the prayer rooms were on the first floor!

A huge but very quiet mall to spend during summer. Some restaurants and branded shops are there. Kids play area and entertainments, cinemas and Carrefour super market are there. Water fountain is activated sometimes.

Landmark mall has diverse dining and shopping, with clean, spacious walkways perfect for families. Great selection of shops & food court, though the variety isn't huge. A range of stores, from a variety of well-known brands and high-end products to more basic retail offerings. variety of restaurants, cafes, and food courts. Clean, open space with good family facilities. Finding parking is difficult during peak time and weekends
Kamal K — Google review
Landmark Mall in Doha has a calm and organized layout that makes it easy to move around, but overall, my experience felt quite ordinary. The mall seems to serve its purpose as a neighborhood shopping center, but it doesn’t offer much in terms of excitement or variety. The retail mix is decent, with a combination of local and international brands, though I didn’t come across anything particularly new or engaging. Some sections of the mall felt a bit quiet, almost too quiet, even during regular hours. It gave the impression that the place isn’t as lively or dynamic as some of the newer malls in the city. Dining options are limited to the usual fast-food and casual spots. While functional, they don’t offer much appeal for those looking for unique or upscale food experiences. The presence of a cinema and a few entertainment options for kids adds some value, but nothing that makes the mall stand out. One good thing is that parking is hassle-free and the mall is clean and well-kept. In the end, Landmark Mall is a decent place for quick visits or essential shopping, but not a place I’d go to if I wanted something memorable or exciting.

Dear Landmark mall Management, I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint about the unacceptable conduct of your security staff. Recently, my cousin was bullied directly in front of your security team, and they failed to take any action whatsoever. Shockingly, when my other cousins arrived to check on the situation, your security guards threatened to ban us instead of addressing the harassment taking place. One security guard even went so far as to threaten to physically harm my cousins, which is completely unacceptable behavior for anyone in a position of authority. Additionally, the individuals harassing my family were recording my aunt and staring at her inappropriately, yet the security staff did not intervene, did not stop the recording, and did nothing to protect her dignity and safety. It is evident that your current security staff are not fulfilling their duty to ensure the safety of visitors. They appeared more interested in protecting their own jobs than in protecting vulnerable patrons. This situation is completely unacceptable, and I urge you to immediately review your hiring standards, training, and oversight for your security team. My family deserves an apology, and the individuals involved must be held accountable. Please respond promptly with the actions you intend to take to ensure this does not happen again. Sincerely, A concerned visitor

The Lusail Stadium, currently under construction and set to open in 2020, will be the main stadium for hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The stadium is also being used as a catalyst for the development of Lusail City.
Lusail Stadium stands out with its stunning, futuristic design. The exterior features a sleek, golden façade inspired by traditional Arab art, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding modern city. Lusail Stadium is a world-class venue combining tradition, innovation, and sustainability. It offers fans an unforgettable experience, whether attending sports events, concerts, or other large-scale gatherings. The attention to detail in its design, facilities, and fan experience makes it a standout landmark in sports and architecture.

Lusail Stadium is an impressive venue with great views from all angles and a fantastic atmosphere. The design and facilities are top-notch, making it a great place to watch matches. However, the only downside is the long walk to reach the metro or parking after events—it can be tiring. Other than that, everything is well-organized and enjoyable

Its stunning architecture, inspired by traditional Arabic craftsmanship, along with advanced cooling technology and sustainability features, makes it a symbol of Qatar’s ambition and innovation in sports infrastructure.

Lusail Stadium is absolutely breathtaking — easily one of the most incredible venues I’ve ever been to. I was lucky enough to be there for the 2022 World Cup Final, and honestly, it felt like stepping into history. The atmosphere was electric, the design was futuristic yet elegant, and the way the golden lights reflected off the structure at night was unreal. The organization was flawless — easy entry, great facilities, comfy seats, and perfect views from every angle. You could feel the passion and energy of fans from all over the world bouncing off the walls. Every cheer, every chant just echoed beautifully through the stadium. It’s not just a stadium — it’s a masterpiece. Qatar really outdid themselves with Lusail. I’ll never forget the goosebumps from that night. 100% deserves its spot among the greatest stadiums on the planet.
Doha D — Google review
Lusail Stadium is undeniably one of the world's most impressive modern sporting venues, a true architectural marvel. Its striking design, resembling a woven bowl and shimmering gold, is visually stunning and pays deep respect to regional culture. Visiting this stadium, especially for an event like the World Cup, is a bucket-list experience. The atmosphere inside is electric; the acoustics and layout create a deafening roar that encapsulates the drama of the match. The stadium's scale is enormous, yet the logistics for 80,000+ people were handled remarkably well. The sightlines from our seats were flawless, offering a perfect view of the pitch from all angles. While getting to the stadium involves a bit of a walk from the Lusail Metro station, the dedicated organization and signage make the journey straightforward. The concourses are modern, clean, and offer sufficient amenities. Lusail stands not just as a stadium, but as an iconic symbol of Qatar’s future. It offers an unforgettable, world-class sporting experience that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommend visiting if you have the chance.

It's the biggest stadium, yet not the most beautiful. The down side is going to the upper floors as it is very tiring to go 6 stories up, so if you have an elderly person with you, there is no way they can make it. However the stadium is good and make sure to book lower level seats for smooth access and exit.
Mohamad M — Google review
Lusail Stadium is situated in a vast area and has hosted significant events, including league matches, the semi-finals, and the final of the 2022 World Cup. It was here that the Argentina team made history. While all stadiums in Qatar are world-class, Lusail Stadium stands out with a seating capacity of over 90,000 spectators. I had the opportunity to experience the atmosphere during the quarter-finals, and it was truly impressive. The stadium features well-organized parking and continues to host regional and national matches, as well as various community and musical gatherings.

The entrance of Burj Doha is a lush green haven, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. The abundance of greenery creates a welcoming and refreshing atmosphere. This isn't just a pretty covering; it's a modern interpretation of the traditional Mashrabiya screens found in Islamic architecture. The absence of a central core reveals a forest of concrete diagrid columns, their X-shapes intertwining gracefully like branches reaching for the sun. This innovative structural system not only provides exceptional strength and flexibility but also creates a spacious and airy feel throughout the building.

⭐ Fanar Mosque (Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center) – My Review A truly peaceful and inspiring place in the heart of Doha. The moment you see the spiral minaret of Fanar, you can feel its beauty and calmness inviting you in. It’s not just a mosque — it’s a symbol of faith, knowledge, and open hearts. Inside, the atmosphere is quiet and full of serenity. The staff are very welcoming and always ready to guide visitors, whether you’re coming for prayer or just to learn more about Islam. The Friday sermon in English is a thoughtful touch, especially for people from different countries living in Qatar. I love how close it is to Souq Waqif — after visiting, you can enjoy the local culture and food nearby. The mosque looks amazing during the evening when the lights bring out the spiral design — perfect for a peaceful photo moment. Doha Festival City is a massive shopping destination in the north of Doha, covering 600,000 square meters. It features over 400 brands, including luxury names like Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci. The mall also houses the first Harvey Nichols and IKEA outlets in the country.
Doha Festival City is one of the top shopping destinations in Qatar. It offers a wide variety of clothing brands to suit all tastes and budgets—from well-known international fashion labels to high-end luxury brands for those looking for something exclusive. The mall is not just about shopping—it’s a complete experience. There are two spacious food courts with plenty of options, whether you’re in the mood for a quick snack or a full meal. Plus, the cinema adds the perfect entertainment touch for movie lovers. Whether you’re shopping, dining, or just spending time with family and friends, Doha Festival City has everything you need under one roof. Highly recommended for a full-day outing!
Motaz A — Google review
One of the largest mall in Qatar. Very beautiful design and atmosphere. You can find various shops and restaurants. Also, very luxury cafe shops like Laduari. The most special this is theme parks. There are multiple fun cities where you can play and enjoy with your family and friends particularly Angry Birds World.
Ahlam A — Google review
Huge mall with a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. Very clean, family-friendly, and easy to navigate. A great place for shopping and spending time with family.
Mohammed S — Google review
Doha Festival City is honestly next level. This place isn’t just a mall — it’s a whole experience. The size, the design, the vibes — everything screams luxury and fun. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that clean, modern energy that just makes you wanna explore everything. There’s literally something for everyone — designer stores, tech, fashion, food, entertainment, even theme park vibes inside. The air conditioning is perfect (bless in that Doha heat), the staff are friendly, and everything is spotless. You could spend the whole day here and still find new things to do. The food court goes crazy too — from local eats to global favourites, every meal hits. And the atmosphere? Always alive, always buzzing. If shopping centres had a “GOAT” tier — Doha Festival City is sitting right at the top. 💯 Peak place. I love it here.
Doha D — Google review
If you’re in Doha and looking for the perfect blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment, Doha Festival City Mall is the place to be. This mall truly has it all, offering everything from luxury brands to high-street fashion, all under one roof. As soon as I walked in, I was amazed by the vastness of the place, with stunning architecture and a clean, modern vibe that made every step feel like a new adventure. The shopping options are endless—whether you’re in the mood for global fashion brands or local boutiques, you’ll find something to suit your style. I spent hours browsing through the stores and still felt like I barely scratched the surface! But the fun doesn’t stop there. The entertainment options here are top-notch! The VR Park was an absolute highlight, with a variety of immersive virtual reality experiences that will keep you on your toes. And if you’re a foodie like me, the restaurants and cafés inside are perfect for a pit stop—whether you’re craving fast food or fine dining. And of course, the indoor snow park is a must-see! The perfect place to cool off and have some fun with family and friends. The overall vibe of the mall is lively and welcoming, and I found myself spending the entire day there without even realizing it. Doha Festival City Mall is definitely a one-stop destination for anyone visiting Doha. Whether you’re shopping, eating, or looking for some entertainment, it’s the place to be!

Aspire Park is honestly one of the best spots in Doha if you’re looking to relax, exercise, or enjoy some quality time with family and friends. It’s huge, super clean, and beautifully maintained. The greenery is a breath of fresh air—especially the lake, which is pretty unique for Qatar and gives the whole place a peaceful vibe. There are plenty of walking and jogging tracks, and it’s great for families with kids thanks to the play areas and open space to run around. I also love how there are cafes around where you can grab a coffee or snack while enjoying the view.
