Libraries
Biblioteca Palafoxiana is a stunning public library established in the 17th century, home to a vast collection of rare books and manuscripts dating back to the 15th century. The architecture features arched and vaulted ceilings, Baroque windows, tiered balconies, a gilded altar, and polished wooden bookcases holding ancient volumes made of vellum. This grand space evokes reverence for learning and knowledge.
Biggest museum 🌄payment for the entire building, do not forget to go to other halls of the building with one copy of the ticket.
Alice D — Google review
This library is basically just the one room but it's a beautiful room. When you leave this room, turn left because there is an exhibition that you can enter with your library ticket which shows the 20 most influential books housed in this library in honor of the 25 years the library has been a UNESCO world heritage.
Tayet4Buri — Google review
This review is after a 2nd visit to Biblioteca Palafoxiana. Since our first visit to just the library, they have added an amazing exposición to the library. Unclear if all or part of this is permanent, but i certainly hope it is permanent so many more can continue to experience this amazing museum. This collection of literary works was truly AMAZING. The added expo highlights a portion of this incredible, now antique book collection featuring very early publications of Cervantes, Copernicus, Newton and more. There is also a separate section about the man himself, Palafox. This place is a must see. If you are real into this kind of stuff, plan on 1.5 hours to tour the library and full exhibition (if its still there).
K M — Google review
Biblioteca Palafoxiana is absolutely worth a visit. The current exhibition adds a really interesting layer to the experience (note that all descriptions are in Spanish), but, the library itself is amazing — floor-to-ceiling shelves packed with very old books, some dating back centuries. You don’t need a tour but it would be helpful to explain some facts - or you can do your research beforehand. You can buy tickets when you arrive. It’s a beautiful place that makes you appreciate the history and knowledge preserved here.
Monique F — Google review
This was a beautiful place to visit. The tour itself is maybe 15 minutes. The docents were amazing. They were kind and answered all our questions. I enjoyed seeing how well they took care of the books and the building. It really demonstrates how much they appreciate their history. I would absolutely recommend to take a visit here.
Marlon C — Google review
Interesting old library with historical significance. Although it's described as the first public library in the Americas accessible to anyone who wished to study, remember that at those times there was racial segregation and only white spiniards could live in the city of Puebla.
Avi F — Google review
This library is very picturesque, but that's about it. You have to pay a fee to enter, and you cannot touch anything. You also can't go upstairs.
Heather S — Google review
Looks good from outside, didn't go in... I feel libraries should not charge to go in. Cool building.

Zócalo de Puebla is a lively public square at the heart of the city, offering a vibrant atmosphere with its fountain, benches, and surrounding eateries and shops. It's a popular spot for people-watching, from students in academic gowns celebrating graduations to families enjoying leisurely strolls. The square is surrounded by historical buildings and green spaces, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the city.
The Zócalo de Puebla is a must-visit destination. It's a magical place with friendly people. It can get crowded on Sundays and during holidays, but we stayed in an Airbnb right in front of the Zócalo, which was amazing. Every morning, we enjoyed seeing the Zócalo transform into something different. There are also many bus tours available from this location, and everything is easily walkable.
SIRLUNA ( — Google review
The Zócalo in Puebla is truly the heart of the city and a must-visit destination for anyone exploring this vibrant colonial city. As one of Mexico’s most beautiful and historic plazas, it offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and lively atmosphere. The square is surrounded by stunning colonial architecture, with colorful buildings and ornate facades that reflect Puebla’s rich heritage. The cathedral, with its impressive baroque design, dominates the skyline and adds to the majestic ambiance of the plaza. During the day, the Zócalo buzzes with activity—locals and tourists alike gather to relax, enjoy street performances, or sip coffee at nearby cafes. At night, the area transforms with beautifully lit buildings, creating a romantic and picturesque setting. The surrounding streets are lined with shops, markets, and restaurants offering delicious local cuisine, including Puebla’s famous mole poblano. It’s a great place to soak in the local culture, do some shopping, or simply people-watch. Overall, the Zócalo in Puebla is a vibrant, historic, and charming place that captures the essence of the city. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or just soaking up the lively atmosphere, it’s an experience not to be missed.

Fantastic decorations for Dia de Los Muertos all over this Zocalo. I had a great time walking around and taking photos of everything. It was super colorful, very beautiful, and so much fun to be had. The architecture is amazing and the sights and people made my heart sing.

Park
Estrella de Puebla is a massive observation wheel located in a linear park, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city's landmarks. Puebla itself is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, showcasing its rich cultural and historical significance through its well-preserved colonial architecture and cobblestone streets. The attraction stands as a symbol of modernity within this historic setting, providing visitors with privileged views of the surrounding area.
We were worried about standing in line, but all went well. There was literally no one waiting. We got a VIP for the four of us, and it was worth it. You get a private cabin with leather seats and honestly, the views are amazing! Worth the trip. FYI: if you have a car, park it in the mall across the street.
Inj — Google review
Easy entry, nice view. There was a „radio“ in the capsule and the content was a bit annoying because it was just advertising. Some information about Puebla would have been nicer.
Louisa K — Google review
It seems new and very well maintained. . it is a very large Ferris wheel .. if I remember right it was 80 pesos a person they had some deluxe style seats for like vip people that were like 800 for 6 people . There was absolutely no one else on it when we went so there was no line and no waiting .. pretty good view .. it goes very very slow takes probably 10 or 15 minutes to go around .. you can see the majority of the city from the top .. I would pay to ride it again for sure.. I don't normally give 5 stars I am fairly conservative with them but this was worth 5 stars I think..
Jedi E — Google review
Amazing views! VIP basket has a glass bottom and very comfortable seats. View from the top is amazing, if you can try to catch the sunset! Totally worth visiting!
David C — Google review
The view is good. But we went when all the cars were empty and yet they crammed everyone into one cabin... just so they can sell their vip tickets. I can understand this policy during busy times, but not when the wheel is empty. The seller didn't explain this policy when I was in the ticket booth.
James — Google review
Smooth experience, beautiful view of the city, and the ferris wheel isn't super fast, so you can take your pictures and videos but also soak in the view all at the same time. Staff were super nice, and the cost is only 80 pesos!!!

Very nice place, to affordable very fun

Zoo
Africam Safari is a wildlife conservation zoo in Puebla, Mexico, spanning 500 acres of diverse habitats. Founded by Carlos Camacho Espiritu in the 1970s, it houses over 450 animal species from around the world. Visitors can drive through open-air enclosures or join guided tours to see elephants, giraffes, rhinos, tigers, and more. The park offers educational experiences like tracking animals and picnicking with giraffes.
We had two cars in our party. Our family enjoyed every moment of this experience. We went on a Sunday. This park is so well thought out, it was very impressive. It did take us about 5 hours to get through but felt like it took 3 hours. You first go through the safari portion where the animals are running free in their own habitat. There are stops along the way for clean bathrooms, food, and places to get out of the car and stretch your legs. There are 3 stops along this adventure. The last stop is more of a traditional zoo. All the animals here were well taken care of which was so good to see. Highly recommend for good family fun!
Angie G — Google review
All the family loved this place! So cool how close you can get to the animals 😂 so many nice places to take pics. And the restrooms are very clean. Lots of different places to eat. Highly recommend if you are visiting puebla with the kids!!
Myra G — Google review
I was impressed! My first Safari in life! It was amazing to see different animals so close 🐘 Such a beautiful family experience! Highly recommend 🌟 The only problem can be lots of visitors, so 🚗 cars drive very slowly and under the sun 🌞 it can be a tricky time with kids in a car! So I would choose time to enter wisely. Maybe not weekends if you have opportunity! Area with Lions is just Breathtaking! 🧡🦁
Anastasia — Google review
A super cool drive thru zoo. After you drive thru all the way, there is a walking experience where u get to see even more animals and insects. Such a cool experience for the kids. The animals looked very healthy and well taken care of. Such a delightful place, will come back!
Alex — Google review
Amazing, better than expected. The animals seem to be better treated that in most zoos and this haves a nice concept that makes it different than a normal zoo. Loved the Cows with gigantic horns
Guille 2 — Google review
Such a phenomenal experience! I 10/10 recommend if you’re visiting to make this place a stop!
Maria A — Google review
One of the best experiences ever. Must do it while near puebla

Go on a Monday, bring your own car and take as much time as you need driving through to see the animals. Staff are accommodating and understanding, not strict about poking your head out of sunroofs.

(Translated by Google) A very quiet and beautiful place to walk with your dog on the weekends. I recommend going early because of the low influx, it is more relaxing to walk with your furry friend, clearly the later it is, the more people there are. It is important to bring a bag for dog waste since it is very clean and well-kept. There are also trash cans located throughout the area. Capilla Del Rosario is a small but spectacular church in Puebla where mass is celebrated on Sundays at 9:30 am with proper anti-COVID measures. It's a welcoming chapel that has been difficult for parishioners and the parish priest to manage, but it's loved by people of great faith. The father is kind and his sermons are easily understood.

Also, be sure to check out the aviary and the restaurant!

It was the first time I have visited ecological park. The park was easy to find. There is a parking lot, a small lake, several football fields, lots of playground for kits, a theme park with a few species of birds and a circuit for walking and biking. Without a doubt, this is a great place to spend time with the kids.

Paseo Bravo is a charming city square located in Puebla, featuring a tree-lined promenade, an elaborate fountain monument, and an art nouveau clock. The long and narrow plaza is bustling with food carts, teenagers, and office workers during weekdays. At one end of the plaza stands a Talavera-tiled church while at the other end sits a cantina. Visitors can enjoy spending time in the shade, observing the surroundings and passers-by.
A place for walk a little bit near center of Puebla. Nice.

I have been lucky enough to have lunch there a few times. The trees sway above a meeting ground for students, shopowners, and all others called to this avenue. Comfortable, shaded seating gives reprieve, space for eating, and enjoying nature and the architecture.
Hendri S — Google review
In my opinion this park is great because there's plenty of things to do everything is nice and clean there are many fountains. There are lots of different snacks to enjoy during your visit. You can even take a look at the different museums around the area. Not to mention during Sunday morning the streets around it are closed for bicycle riders for a safer experience. Even after almost 2 years of going there almost every day the park still the same... Now it's even better because they are making a lot of improvements to the park such as the water fountain painting the sidewalks and trimming the trees. So it's still a really good place to visit especially during Sundays in the morning

Arboterra is a family-friendly zoo in Puebla that focuses on conservation of wildlife and forest. It includes a simulated tree where kids can learn about birds, as well as interactive activities and a big bird cage where everyone can see many kinds of birds. Africam Safari offers an African safari without leaving Mexico, with rare white tigers, rhinos, and elephants being some of the animals you'll see.
One of my favorite places in Puebla! ⭐️ Here you can find beautiful nature blended with great idea and absolutely wonderful details! It feels like someone really put the soul into this project — I was not excited about the story though (during the tour) but the atmosphere, beautiful birds and plants, that Big Tree keeping all the mysteries — I loved that so much! As aesthetic details lover and nature lover — I was quite impressed! 🍃 Highly recommend to visit for kids and adults who’s inner kid is alive! 🤓☝🏻

Loved ArboTerra! Easily spent a few hours here immersed in the story. Angie was super sweet and bilingual which was an added bonus. Extra special place for me- the entire crew helped plan my proposal and did it in the most memorable way. Thank you so much!
Heather M — Google review
Beautiful location and we enjoyed the birds and reptiles but this experience is definitely only for children. We went on Monday at 11am and were the only ones in the park. They have actors dressed up and pretending to be characters, they have to act for you even though we were all adults. It was quite awkward even though they did a good job.
Abby A — Google review
It's a nice place, a little overpriced but it make sense since they got so much maintenance and actors to pay. I would only wish they were a bit clearer in the ticket booth that we were getting into an interactive tour with actors that was clearly made for children. We were only adults and, as a kind of introvert person that I am, it felt a bit awkward. Kudos to the actors though, they were great !

Fun experience. We came for the birds. Didn't realize that the tour had a whole adventure theme to it. We had fun and enjoyed seeing the birds and other wildlife. The staff did a great job.

Parque Lineal is a family-friendly park featuring peaceful ponds, bike paths, playgrounds, and exercise equipment. It offers clean bathrooms and is located near the La Estrella Ferris wheel. The park provides good views of the surroundings and access to avoid crossing boulevards. With lush vegetation and bridges, it stretches along Boulevard del Nino in Puebla and the central median of Boulevard Atlixcayotl, offering a view of tall modern buildings.
I'm still amazed by the running/biking corridors in this city. This park is designed for foot traffic and you can get around anywhere in the city. I just wish I had more time to run other routes.

It is bustling with artisans who create and sell their unique works, accompanied by lively cafes, bars, and live music venues. Visitors can explore the numerous stalls filled with interesting souvenirs and gifts at reasonable prices. Although some shops may seem to have similar merchandise at first sight, closer inspection reveals an array of distinctive items.
If you are searching for a place to sit on a bench and just chill watching artist painting on one side and beautiful houses on the other side this is the place.
Waffelsworldtour N — Google review
The art district is an absolutely fantastic and lively area that shouldn’t be missed when visiting. From the moment you step into the neighborhood, you’re immersed in a vibrant atmosphere filled with creativity and artistic expression. We had the chance to witness live drawing and painting competitions happening right on the streets, which added an exciting and dynamic energy to the experience. Watching talented artists work on their pieces in real-time was truly inspiring and gave us a deeper appreciation for the local art scene. The district is packed with a diverse array of artwork, including colorful murals, gallery exhibitions, sculptures, and street art, all showcasing the incredible talent of local artists. Whether you're a seasoned art enthusiast or just looking for a unique experience, there’s something here for everyone. The art pieces are often very affordable, making it easy to purchase small souvenirs, prints, or even original artworks without overspending. This accessibility makes the district a great place to support local talent while taking home meaningful keepsakes. In addition to the art itself, the district is dotted with cozy cafes, street vendors, and small shops, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment. The friendly atmosphere encourages visitors to stroll around, chat with artists, and take plenty of photos. We found that exploring the district was not only inspiring but also a wonderful way to connect with the local culture and community. Overall, the art district is a lively, colorful, and inspiring hub of creativity that offers a unique cultural experience at very reasonable prices. It’s perfect for art lovers, families, or anyone looking to enjoy a fun and enriching outing. We left feeling inspired and appreciative of the local talent, and we would highly recommend spending a good chunk of your day exploring this vibrant neighborhood.

Cool park with well built and impressive looking models of famous buildings in Puebla and elsewhere in México. Also includes a couple small playgrounds, pond, and covered seating area. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Very nice park. Lots of miniature buildings that are very nicely detailed. Also have a nice putt-putt course, as well as basketball and tennis court. Make sure you go over the bridge, because a lot of the models are in another section of the park that is on the other side of the road, but they have a nice pedestrian bridge. The museum of photography was also very nice. Free on Sundays, and had a lot of history of Puebla, in pictures.

Mohammad Z — Google review
Nice place for exercise, walk, run, bicycle you name it. Beautiful and relaxing.
Carlos G — Google review
I like this one because you can start to run or cycle and it connects to the much larger Parque Lineal and Eco-Parque Metropolitano, so you can do a long circuit (about 15km a lap). What I dislike is that there are a lot of "coaches" that give their "classes" (without any valid accreditation, of course, they are just people that exercise and think that's enough to teach) and they use large speakers and make a lot of noise, ruining everyone else's stay. The running track is barely OK, a mile and a half, the one at Parque Ecológico is much better. Basketball court, well, it's just the one.
Esteban V — Google review
