Zoo
Africam Safari is a wildlife conservation zoo in Puebla, Mexico, spanning 500 acres of diverse habitats. Founded by Carlos Camacho Espiritu in the 1970s, it houses over 450 animal species from around the world. Visitors can drive through open-air enclosures or join guided tours to see elephants, giraffes, rhinos, tigers, and more. The park offers educational experiences like tracking animals and picnicking with giraffes.
We had two cars in our party. Our family enjoyed every moment of this experience. We went on a Sunday. This park is so well thought out, it was very impressive. It did take us about 5 hours to get through but felt like it took 3 hours. You first go through the safari portion where the animals are running free in their own habitat. There are stops along the way for clean bathrooms, food, and places to get out of the car and stretch your legs. There are 3 stops along this adventure. The last stop is more of a traditional zoo. All the animals here were well taken care of which was so good to see. Highly recommend for good family fun!
Angie G — Google review
All the family loved this place! So cool how close you can get to the animals 😂 so many nice places to take pics. And the restrooms are very clean. Lots of different places to eat. Highly recommend if you are visiting puebla with the kids!!
Myra G — Google review
I was impressed! My first Safari in life! It was amazing to see different animals so close 🐘 Such a beautiful family experience! Highly recommend 🌟 The only problem can be lots of visitors, so 🚗 cars drive very slowly and under the sun 🌞 it can be a tricky time with kids in a car! So I would choose time to enter wisely. Maybe not weekends if you have opportunity! Area with Lions is just Breathtaking! 🧡🦁
Anastasia — Google review
A super cool drive thru zoo. After you drive thru all the way, there is a walking experience where u get to see even more animals and insects. Such a cool experience for the kids. The animals looked very healthy and well taken care of. Such a delightful place, will come back!
Alex — Google review
Amazing, better than expected. The animals seem to be better treated that in most zoos and this haves a nice concept that makes it different than a normal zoo. Loved the Cows with gigantic horns
Guille 2 — Google review
Such a phenomenal experience! I 10/10 recommend if you’re visiting to make this place a stop!
Maria A — Google review
One of the best experiences ever. Must do it while near puebla
Hadi H — Google review
Go on a Monday, bring your own car and take as much time as you need driving through to see the animals. Staff are accommodating and understanding, not strict about poking your head out of sunroofs.

Zócalo de Puebla is a lively public square at the heart of the city, offering a vibrant atmosphere with its fountain, benches, and surrounding eateries and shops. It's a popular spot for people-watching, from students in academic gowns celebrating graduations to families enjoying leisurely strolls. The square is surrounded by historical buildings and green spaces, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the city.
The Zócalo de Puebla is a must-visit destination. It's a magical place with friendly people. It can get crowded on Sundays and during holidays, but we stayed in an Airbnb right in front of the Zócalo, which was amazing. Every morning, we enjoyed seeing the Zócalo transform into something different. There are also many bus tours available from this location, and everything is easily walkable.
SIRLUNA ( — Google review
The Zócalo in Puebla is truly the heart of the city and a must-visit destination for anyone exploring this vibrant colonial city. As one of Mexico’s most beautiful and historic plazas, it offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and lively atmosphere. The square is surrounded by stunning colonial architecture, with colorful buildings and ornate facades that reflect Puebla’s rich heritage. The cathedral, with its impressive baroque design, dominates the skyline and adds to the majestic ambiance of the plaza. During the day, the Zócalo buzzes with activity—locals and tourists alike gather to relax, enjoy street performances, or sip coffee at nearby cafes. At night, the area transforms with beautifully lit buildings, creating a romantic and picturesque setting. The surrounding streets are lined with shops, markets, and restaurants offering delicious local cuisine, including Puebla’s famous mole poblano. It’s a great place to soak in the local culture, do some shopping, or simply people-watch. Overall, the Zócalo in Puebla is a vibrant, historic, and charming place that captures the essence of the city. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or just soaking up the lively atmosphere, it’s an experience not to be missed.

Estrella de Puebla is a massive observation wheel located in a linear park, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city's landmarks. Puebla itself is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, showcasing its rich cultural and historical significance through its well-preserved colonial architecture and cobblestone streets. The attraction stands as a symbol of modernity within this historic setting, providing visitors with privileged views of the surrounding area.
We were worried about standing in line, but all went well. There was literally no one waiting. We got a VIP for the four of us, and it was worth it. You get a private cabin with leather seats and honestly, the views are amazing! Worth the trip. FYI: if you have a car, park it in the mall across the street.
Inj — Google review
Easy entry, nice view. There was a „radio“ in the capsule and the content was a bit annoying because it was just advertising. Some information about Puebla would have been nicer.
Louisa K — Google review
It seems new and very well maintained. . it is a very large Ferris wheel .. if I remember right it was 80 pesos a person they had some deluxe style seats for like vip people that were like 800 for 6 people . There was absolutely no one else on it when we went so there was no line and no waiting .. pretty good view .. it goes very very slow takes probably 10 or 15 minutes to go around .. you can see the majority of the city from the top .. I would pay to ride it again for sure.. I don't normally give 5 stars I am fairly conservative with them but this was worth 5 stars I think..
Jedi E — Google review
Amazing views! VIP basket has a glass bottom and very comfortable seats. View from the top is amazing, if you can try to catch the sunset! Totally worth visiting!
David C — Google review
The view is good. But we went when all the cars were empty and yet they crammed everyone into one cabin... just so they can sell their vip tickets. I can understand this policy during busy times, but not when the wheel is empty. The seller didn't explain this policy when I was in the ticket booth.
James — Google review
Smooth experience, beautiful view of the city, and the ferris wheel isn't super fast, so you can take your pictures and videos but also soak in the view all at the same time. Staff were super nice, and the cost is only 80 pesos!!!

Cool park with well built and impressive looking models of famous buildings in Puebla and elsewhere in México. Also includes a couple small playgrounds, pond, and covered seating area. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Amazing and beautiful place. 4 stars just because the signs explaining about the places are old and unreadable. Walking around the park is free. You only need to pay if you want to play in the mini golf.

Very nice park. Lots of miniature buildings that are very nicely detailed. Also have a nice putt-putt course, as well as basketball and tennis court. Make sure you go over the bridge, because a lot of the models are in another section of the park that is on the other side of the road, but they have a nice pedestrian bridge. The museum of photography was also very nice. Free on Sundays, and had a lot of history of Puebla, in pictures.

The botanical garden, called Botanical Garden Universitario- BUAP, is a beautiful place to visit. It compares favorably with other impressive gardens I have seen during my travels. What makes it even more remarkable is that it is a university garden. The maintenance of the garden is commendable, with clear labels and signage.
Nice walk, clean toilets, cafe and play area. Worth a stop! Oh, and only 10 pesos if you’re not a student.
Vanisha T — Google review
This is a really nice botanical garden. I visit a lot of botanical gardens when I travel and this compares very well with some of the better gardens that I've seen. Even more impressive is that it is a university garden. It's nicely maintained with good labeling and signage. Signs are all in Spanish which was a challenge for my limited command of the language, but the garden is not intended for English speaking tourists. It's also nice just to get out into nature and away from the traffic and noise of the city. Ridiculously cheap (10 MXP) - if you are interested in the flora of Puebla, don't miss it.
Charles E — Google review
This is a very popular space inside the public university campus. A big garden where you can find all kinds of plants and trees, and some little animals. There's a small lake, with a floating stage for music concerts and other cultural events. A perfect combination of music, nature and arts.

One of my favorite places in Puebla! ⭐️ Here you can find beautiful nature blended with great idea and absolutely wonderful details! It feels like someone really put the soul into this project — I was not excited about the story though (during the tour) but the atmosphere, beautiful birds and plants, that Big Tree keeping all the mysteries — I loved that so much! As aesthetic details lover and nature lover — I was quite impressed! 🍃 Highly recommend to visit for kids and adults who’s inner kid is alive! 🤓☝🏻

Loved ArboTerra! Easily spent a few hours here immersed in the story. Angie was super sweet and bilingual which was an added bonus. Extra special place for me- the entire crew helped plan my proposal and did it in the most memorable way. Thank you so much!
Heather M — Google review
Beautiful location and we enjoyed the birds and reptiles but this experience is definitely only for children. We went on Monday at 11am and were the only ones in the park. They have actors dressed up and pretending to be characters, they have to act for you even though we were all adults. It was quite awkward even though they did a good job.
Abby A — Google review
It's a nice place, a little overpriced but it make sense since they got so much maintenance and actors to pay. I would only wish they were a bit clearer in the ticket booth that we were getting into an interactive tour with actors that was clearly made for children. We were only adults and, as a kind of introvert person that I am, it felt a bit awkward. Kudos to the actors though, they were great !

(Translated by Google) The park is quite large but it lacks a lot of maintenance, especially in the skatepark area and the bike lane. In the skatepark part, signs are needed to prevent children from playing in those areas. It is a specific skate area, not for children. children to play, this way they would avoid many accidents and people using the areas to slide as benches, also they will steal your things, be careful with your belongings. The park does not allow dogs and charges $16 parking for motorcycles and cars, the bathroom has already gone up to $6 for a while (which by the way, many times there is no water, paper, much less soap 😃) and the things they sell inside are super expensive (and if you buy, try to bring change).

Tina E — Google review
Great little zoo for small kids. Can see lot's of animals up close. Short ride from Puebla.
Jenna K — Google review
Second time visiting the park, the staff was very friendly. At first I wasn't sure about going to the park with my seven month old baby but it turned out to be great. We were able to see plenty of animals even though we were a little bummed because very few of the big cats were visible from up close; but we still enjoyed it. The "Museo Viviente" seemed a little scarce of animals this time.
Cesar C — Google review
The park is not big, but worth visiting. You can easily spend one hour only feeding animals. Some birds can tell some words like “Hola”. We were really surprised.
Olesya — Google review
They really take care of their animals here. But it is a very small park. Only takes about an hour to walk through. But lots of birds and small monkeys. Their Lions and Tigers looked very healthy and happy. Not very many big animals though, like elephants and giraffes But the few animals they have are very happy and healthy. Cages were very clean.

Very clean , Many species , Manu Many animals, wild and entertaining Even educative place

Great experience. Must visit place in town .

Nice little place to see beautiful plants. You can buy plants. They have a recycling center, a small restaurant, a gift shop and a store where they sell natural beauty products.
Janick G — Google review
The food is great, the service not so much. It's quite slow to get your order taken, and then to get the food, and then the bill. The gardens themselves are very nice though: well-maintained, nicely laid out, and full of pleasant sights and smells.
William B — Google review
A beautiful little oasis! With so much to look at and learn about what can grow in a city like Puebla. Totally free! And also, what about the wonderful soaps and shampoo, wow.
Mim L — Google review
Breakfast has become too expensive for what it's offered. Some dishes are tasteless and others salty. When say expensive it's because of the poor variety and simplicity. On the other hand you have to pay for the parking because that area is not safe so your car is exposed to any damages or robbery. this place has decreased shame on it because the place is not bad
Gabriel F — Google review
A beautiful garden full of different edible and medicinal plants. The guided tours are very informative, and the cafe has some lovely dishes made with their produce (try the lemon verbena pie if you can!). Our favourite was the hummingbird garden and observation room, where you can see up to 10 different species of hummingbird!
Alice O — Google review
It's a bit out of the way from everything. Which is both good and bad. Bad cuz it's kind of inconvenient. Good cuz it's calm, peaceful, and quiet. It's a bit if a hidden gem in Cholula. The garden was quite beautiful with lots of fresh herbs and plants for you to see and smell. A real quaint place!

Enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle in this lovely, tranquil place by kicking off your shoes and laying on the grass to watch the birds and butterflies! A bit of a walk from Cholula central, but worth it.

Great park in the middle of the town square. There are no bathrooms in the park but there one right across the way for a small fee (very clean). Our 2.5 yr old had a great time playing on the colorful playground pieces!

A place full of history, great food and relaxing entertainment. You can buy local foods and drinks, handmade products, culinary delicacies such as grasshoppers (chapulines) wich are great in quesadillas, by the way. There's also souvenirs and handicrafts, from clothing to kitchenware. Make sure to visit the restaurants, specially the "Enamorada" , ask about the history of the restaurant and the movie 🎥. You can also buy some chips (near the BBVA bank) wich are kettle made and enjoy them with some chocolate foam inside the park.

They have ponds, ducks to feed, even native birds! There's a restaurant and a Café, also there's a running track and a football field. It's quite a big place, you can even cook barbecue if you want. Just try to bring an umbrella in case it rains.

Wonderful place for jogging 🏃‍♂️ and daily exercise. Also a nice family park on weekends with kids playing places. Football and basketball grounds
Mohammad Z — Google review
Nice place for exercise, walk, run, bicycle you name it. Beautiful and relaxing.
Carlos G — Google review
I like this one because you can start to run or cycle and it connects to the much larger Parque Lineal and Eco-Parque Metropolitano, so you can do a long circuit (about 15km a lap). What I dislike is that there are a lot of "coaches" that give their "classes" (without any valid accreditation, of course, they are just people that exercise and think that's enough to teach) and they use large speakers and make a lot of noise, ruining everyone else's stay. The running track is barely OK, a mile and a half, the one at Parque Ecológico is much better. Basketball court, well, it's just the one.
Esteban V — Google review
Nice large clean park with some beautiful wildlife. Plenty of things to see and do.

Parque De La Niñez, located at Blvrd del Nino Poblano 2901, Reserva Territorial Atlixcayotl, Centro Comercial Puebla, Puebla, Pue., Mexico, is a fantastic destination for families seeking quality time together. This park offers a plethora of activities suitable for children of varying ages.
It is amazing! my child have been there so many times, and every time she met new friends and enjoy every second playing. I really recommend this place to spent quality family time by feeding ducks, riding bicycle, eating at the picnic areas or restaurants, playing mini-golf, and many other activities. Just remember to bring cash, if you need to use the toilet it costs: $15 MXN.
Aguilarcomplete — Google review
Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this park during my visit to Puebla. As a tourist from New Zealand who doesn’t speak Spanish, I found it very difficult to enjoy the playground due to a security staff member who seemed to follow me around and yell at me in Spanish, despite my repeated attempts to communicate that I didn’t understand. I paid the entry fee (18 pesos to park) and was there with my child, who was excited to play. However, the security guard’s behavior made the experience extremely uncomfortable. Strangely, there didn’t seem to be any issues when other kids were on the playground, but every time we were there, she became aggressive. It was stressful and completely ruined what should have been a fun outing. I wouldn’t recommend this park to other tourists unless major improvements are made to how visitors are treated. I certainly won’t be returning.
Francesca J — Google review
Great park. One thing to note is that finding the entrance- if your driving- may be hard to see. So drive slow it is next to the hospital so it might be miss leading.
