Review of Helnan Palestine Hotel – Alexandria My stay at Helnan Palestine Hotel was truly a memorable experience. The hotel boasts a unique location inside the Montaza Royal Gardens, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and a serene, relaxing atmosphere. Pros: Location: The surroundings are absolutely stunning, with lush greenery and direct sea views. It feels like a peaceful retreat away from the city's hustle. Service: The staff is professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Service was quick and efficient throughout my stay. Cleanliness: Rooms are spotless and well-maintained, with daily housekeeping and attention to detail. Dining: The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a wide variety of options. The hotel’s restaurants also serve great food throughout the day. Facilities: The swimming pool is clean and spacious, and there’s also a private beach that adds a special touch to the stay.

Very old property…inside and outside is completely run down. The service and common areas are really bad. The valet service is non existent and you can’t order taxis or ubers. Pool is a joke and very small. Staff are ok but very far from 5 star. Not more 2 stars.
Ahmed E — Google review
The scenarios and the view everywhere is overwhelming and spectacular. All the rooms are sea view . Rooms are spacious, well maintained and room service are keen to provide you with all you need . The only problem is with all the noise on weekends due to weddings organized in the hotel. Staff everywhere are too friendly, always serving you with a smile on their faces . Food isn’t the restaurant is satisfactory when talking about diversity and delicious in taste , they have an extra restaurant to serve breakfast on jammed days . The gym is satisfactory to maintain your form on a holiday but the 3 treadmills, elliptical and stair machines are not working properly and need maintenance. The sea is sandy with no waves and the pool is not that spacious but adequate . WiFi is working perfectly in rooms and internet spped is good

We spent a week end in October in room 125. The hotel has a serious issue in management. The service is the furthest it can be from welcoming. Zero hospitality. I had a feeling that they hire their acquintances with no consideration to professionality what so ever. They had a woman who served eggs at breakfast she was literally hiding so that no one makes an order with extremely rude facial expressions. They refuse that anyone fills a bottle from the dispenser. They refuse anyone takes the rest of their dish even if for a child. They dont add toothbrush unless you ask for it. The cleaning crew comes very late and are so slow and they always ask if they can skip cleaning.
Yasmine S — Google review
It was a simple but excellent stay. The reception was perfect, especially Habiba. The cleanliness was perfect. The housekeeper’s treatment was excellent. I was pleased with the number of girls there, and it was very comfortable. Everything from the check-in to the check-out was wow. 10/10
Sara S — Google review
Very beautiful location very good facilities ruined by managment .. food is good and wide variety .. cleaniless and health concerns needs a serious consideration , garbage bins are not emptied regularly, there was a small insect in the cupboard, table tops are not clean , and handles of bath sink, room service does not answer many times , the iron came with a warning (thankfully),the glasses for juice in the restaurant actually smelled and ALL drink dispensers (exept one) in the restaurant and room kettles are made of plastic... but the worst experience ever was at night.. the spot light of the balcony do not close before 1 and I do not know how on earth a very noisy weddings and "type" of music is allowed in such a heavenly place.. I have to say that a lot of the staff were very friendly and caring and tried to their best to alleviate alot of those discomforts though many were also stressed out or seem unhappy as I noticed in other review...I could not help a feeling that this potential peace of heaven is A perfect example of how to ruin a lovely legacy by bad management and taste.. I sincerely appologise to our foreigner guests who had to suffer with me this horrible night.

Today I stayed at the Helnan Palestine Hotel in Alexandria, and I am pleased to share that my experience was very satisfying. The hotel is beautifully located in the historic Montaza area, surrounded by the royal gardens and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The setting is peaceful and offers a sense of calm that is both rare and refreshing. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, polite, and attentive. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. What I especially appreciated was the dinner, which was well-prepared, flavorful, and served in an elegant setting with a stunning view of the sea. What stood out the most was the natural beauty of the surroundings, and the sense of history that the hotel carries. It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I am genuinely satisfied with both the service and the overall experience.
Mr. S — Google review
Overall, everything was great except for the breakfast, which was of very poor quality. In my opinion, it does not meet the standards of a 3-star hotel, especially when compared to other hotels in the area, such as Rixos. Please take this point into consideration, as we plan to visit this memorable place again and hope to find a better breakfast with more variety and higher quality.

I recently visited this place and it was absolutely wonderful! Everything was clean, well-organized, and the atmosphere was so relaxing and welcoming. The service was excellent and every detail was taken care of perfectly. I’d especially like to thank Asmaa Said from the reception team. She was incredibly professional and kind, welcomed us with a warm smile, and was super helpful throughout our visit. The service was wonderful and very attentive, which made our romantic date extra special. The staff were polite and made sure everything was perfect for us. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, adding a beautiful touch to the whole experience. Definitely a lovely place for a romantic evening
Lamiaa R — Google review
It was a very nice hotel and the view was magnificent. The staff is so friendly, specially Sara Yahia. I didn’t like that every single detail in the room has extra cost, we thought that the tea and water besides the kettle in the room are free (as it should be, like any other hotel and no price was clearly mentioned beside them), but when I was making the check out, the receptionist told me that the 2 water bottles beside the tea have an extra cost and the price was hidden in the cupboard over the minibar!!
Donia S — Google review
The place is really nice and cozy. Everything is super clean and well-organized. The food is fresh, tasty, and beautifully served. The staff are very friendly, polite, and professional, which made the whole experience even better. It’s also quiet and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again

Our stay at the hotel was perfect. The night receptionist and staff were superb upon our early morning arrival. The breakfast was varied and good, with beautiful views of the bay. The waiters were very polite and friendly. Bassant answered all our questions very politely. The rooms and the hotel's surroundings are very elegant. We will return to this hotel.
Martin G — Google review
Very special place, with a wonderful panoramic sea view of Alexandria. The breakfast is open buffet with a variety of fresh fruits, pastries, cereals, a full hot selection and a fantastic made-to-order omelette station. It is the perfect way to start your day. The staff is so kind and attentive specially Ms.Asmaa ❤️

Hilton Alexandria Corniche is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Alexandria, offering chic dining options, a nightclub, a private beach, and an infinity pool with panoramic sea views. The hotel's prime location provides easy access to popular attractions such as Al Salam Entertainment Theater and Green Plaza Mall. Guests can indulge in massage treatments or relax in the hot tub at the wellness facility after a workout at the fully equipped gym.
The rooms are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay: exceptional cleanliness, very comfortable beds, and spacious living. I also loved the variety of dining options, especially the on-site restaurants, which offer choices for all tastes and of high quality. The sea view from the room is breathtakingly panoramic.

I had a wonderful stay at Hilton Alexandria! Everything was perfect — from the clean and comfortable rooms to the amazing sea view. The atmosphere was so relaxing, and the service was exceptional. I would especially like to thank Hana from Guest Relations for her outstanding hospitality and kindness. She was always smiling, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She truly made my stay special! Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon! 🌊✨

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Nagwa during the check in process and for getting us a great room. She was professional and helpful throughout our whole stay. Hamid went above and beyond at the La Gourmandise restaurant. Dawlet provided excellent house keeping services and made our stay comfortable. The property was clean, organized, and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was great. The sunset view from the pool and private beach were a plus. Thank you everybody.
Ahmed E — Google review
The staff are very friendly , the beach was very clean with unique location and there were shuttle buses every 30 mins to and from the beach. The breakfast buffet was very nice with many varities. Also the rooms are spacious , clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the stay and definitely it is not the last time :)
Marina H — Google review
The best thing about this hotel is the breathtaking view. I chose a sea-view room, and the balcony was like a living frame for some of the most beautiful paintings of the Mediterranean. Sitting sipping coffee with the sound of the waves is the perfect start to any day. I can't describe my stay at the Hilton Alexandria Corniche as anything but a truly relaxing trip.
Gana S — Google review
Great experience! Staff was always courteous. Saber from the concierge was always available and ready to help when needed. Hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was also delicious.

The dining experience at the hotel restaurants was excellent. They were very diverse and rich in items to satisfy all tastes, but what made the stay truly exceptional was the outstanding service and staff. Everyone, from the reception staff to the room service and restaurant workers, was extremely friendly and professional. Thank you.

Located at 14th Of May Bridge Road Smouha, the Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza is an upscale hotel that offers a range of amenities including a spa, gym, and multiple pools. This posh hotel provides various dining options and bars, along with room service. It's also equipped with an outdoor pool, pool bar, fitness center, and hot tub. With its focus on business travelers, it was voted Egypt's Leading Conference Hotel and features both indoor and outdoor pools.
Perfect. Great hospitality. Very accommodating. They do their best to make sure you are happy and comfortable. Great breakfast. All in all it's a great place, specially if it is for a work visit because it is not exactly your summer vacation kinda hotel. It's inside the city, inside green plaza.
Nehad R — Google review
The rooms are very old and the quality level is below average. Unfortunately the hotel needs a full modernization. The lobby is good but the lounge takes the full area and often empty doesn’t offer residents a full view to enjoy the architecture. Only recommended for the nice location and very friendly staff. The food was not that great from the hotel kitchen but there are plenty of choices either in the hotel or in the center. The elevators are very old and small but working. The HVAC system needs to be fully upgraded. Some police stuff are standing directly in front door which doesn’t give a good impression to the guest if it’s the first thing my eyes will catch. The pool is good but the service on the pool is very poor and needs a massive sun protection on the sides and avoid using this massive umbrellas not common any more.
Ahmed D — Google review
Excellent for business travelers and Great service above all. The breakfast choices also were excellent. I had an exceptional service at the reception from Moheb Higazi. He went above and beyond to accommodate every request and need from our group. He was resourceful, respectful with a high standard of courtesy in communication. Well done. Thank you. Everyone was very pleased.
Caroline M — Google review
Do not recommend this hotel if you want to relax. We were allocated a room next to a room that was being renovated. Extremely loud construction noise from 8am. Got moved to another room which was better during the day, however at night, all the noises from the mall around will keep you awake
Brett F — Google review
A Perfect Stay in the Heart of Alexandria! I had a fantastic experience at Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza. The location is unbeatable—right inside Green Plaza Mall, which made shopping, dining, and entertainment incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is elegant and well-maintained, with spacious rooms that were clean, comfortable, and quiet. What truly stood out was the level of service. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. From the smooth check-in to the room service and housekeeping, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The breakfast buffet at Alexander Restaurant was generous and delicious, offering a wide variety of options every morning. I also loved the pool area—it was a relaxing escape after a day of exploring Alexandria. This hotel is ideal whether you’re traveling for business or leisure. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Hilton Green Plaza to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and top-notch hospitality in Alexandria.
Yehya A — Google review
The place was actually so big and they have cameras everywhere and the place is so good and clean and there is so much security and the pool was nice and clean and everyone here is so nice and it's a bit confusing getting to Ur room the first time but after the first/second time you'll know Ur way around and I would definitely recommend going there But coming here was a bit hard because it's right in the middle of Alexandria but it's worth the trip
Yassin A — Google review
Had a great stay at Hilton Green Plaza. As a Diamond member, I really appreciated the smooth check-in. Thanks to Dalia Ezz at the front desk for being very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight: the variety was great, from fresh local dishes to international favorites. The staff were attentive without being overbearing—always ready with a smile and quick to offer refills or help with special requests. Definitely recommend if you're in Alexandria and want comfort, great service, and a breakfast worth waking up for.
Albert L — Google review
I initially gave Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza 2 stars due to a frustrating check-in experience, but I've now updated my review to 3 stars after receiving an outstanding follow-up from the Guest Relations team. The positives The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained. My room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Housekeeping was consistent and polite. The location is convenient, especially with the attached mall and easy access to amenities. Most of the staff were courteous and professional throughout my stay. The negatives Upon arrival, there was confusion over my pre-paid booking (arranged by my company), which should have been straightforward. The front desk clerk was dismissive and condescending, and no apology was offered for the 30-minute delay. The room assigned was one of the furthest from reception, adding to the inconvenience after a tiring journey. Despite the poor first impression, I must commend Rowan from Guest Relations who followed up professionally, acknowledged the shortfall in service, and assured me that improvements were being made internally. It’s that kind of customer care that helps rebuild confidence in a brand. Overall, a mixed experience but one that ended on a more positive note thanks to the follow-up support.

Tolip Hotel Alexandria is a sophisticated 5-star hotel located in Alexandria, offering high-quality accommodation with stunning sea views. The hotel provides excellent amenities including restaurants, a chic spa, and a fitness center. It is known for its exclusive services and facilities, making it one of the best hotels in the area. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, spa treatments, and a gym while staying at this luxurious hotel.
The hotel is very nice, with spacious rooms offering a beautiful view of the sea. The amenities are impressive - there’s even a cinema and a game room with billiards, ping pong, and more. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with many delicious options. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, we found out by chance that the hotel’s beach was closed, and we were taken to another hotel’s private beach instead, which wasn’t as nice. It would’ve been better if we had been informed about this in advance.
Noha D — Google review
I recently stayed at Tolip Hotel Alexandria, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is truly amazing—right on the Corniche with a perfect view of the sea, and very close to many attractions. The hotel itself is large, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of facilities including restaurants, a pool, gym,and access to a private beach. The staff were very professional and welcoming. Special thanks to the housekeeping team who kept the rooms spotless every day. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices, and the food quality was very good. The atmosphere around the pool was relaxing, and I enjoyed spending time there. There are, however, a few things to note. The hotel can get very crowded during weekends and holidays, which sometimes makes the breakfast area busy. The beach is nice but requires a shuttle to reach, and it could be kept cleaner. Some rooms would benefit from small updates and better maintenance, but overall the cleanliness and comfort were satisfying. Despite these minor issues, my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. If you want a hotel with a perfect seafront location, friendly staff, and lots of facilities, Tolip Alexandria is definitely a solid choice. I would recommend it to both families and business travelers, and I look forward to visiting again.

I stayed at this hotel and it truly has a beautiful view of the sea. Although the parking area was very crowded, which was a bit annoying, the Deputy Manager kindly upgraded my room to a larger one, and I really appreciate that gesture. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and the delicious breakfast with the stunning view. Overall, it was a very nice experience and I’m grateful for the excellent service.🥰🥰

Everything is perfect, they made an upgrade to our room from deluxe pool & sea view, to suit pool & sea view. The breakfast is amazing, the products is very high quality. The beach is sandy and lovely, except there is no chaise longue (this is the only bad thing). Everyone serve you without asking from you. We loved it so that we add another night to our stay ♥️♥️♥️
Noura S — Google review
Great hotel to stay, I'd recommend to take a room with sea view it's magical 🤩spent there one night.. The staff was helpful and they allowed for late check out.. The only thing is that you need to take you with a bus that goes every one hour from 9-6 pm to reach the beach
Bm2k92 — Google review
My stay at this establishment was marked by a series of disappointments that fall far short of the standards expected from a 5-star hotel. Nonexistent soundproofing: The room faced the corniche, a very noisy area. The lack of double glazing made sleep impossible due to the constant traffic noise. Neglected bathroom: No toiletries were provided. The shower tray drained very poorly, and the showerhead leaked in several places, clearly indicating a lack of maintenance. Faulty equipment: Most of the electrical switches were out of order, as were the bedside lights, making the room uncomfortable and barely functional. Mediocre breakfast: No beverages worthy of a hotel in this category. No espresso offered, only Nescafé, which is unacceptable. Catastrophic internet connection: The speed was below 600 Kbps, making any online activity nearly impossible. Such a level of service is unacceptable, especially for business travelers. Only positive point: The gym, which was well-equipped and met the expectations of a high-end hotel. In summary, this hotel absolutely does not deserve its 5-star rating. A reassessment of its classification is urgently needed, both in terms of infrastructure and service.

The location is perfect and everything was very clean and well organized. The staff were polite and professional, always ready to help especially Sara at the reception. Overall, we had a good experience at the hotel, there are many restaurants and Vera is very nice during the evening. The love is beautiful. The breakfast area is also very big with a lot of options (we were a big fan of the desserts) They were very kind to offer us a free upgrade to a Junior suite and it was quite spacious with a very big balcony. Four stars as the hotel needs some upgrade in order to be best value for money, considering that the night rate was around €150 euros

Nestled in the heart of Alexandria, the Steigenberger Cecil Hotel is a charming blend of history and modern luxury. Established in 1929 by the Metzger family, this hotel has welcomed an array of illustrious guests over the decades, including cultural icons like Umm Kalthoum and Josephine Baker. With its colonial-style architecture and warm decor, it offers stunning sea views that enhance your stay.
Since my last visit three years ago it was not a nice experience at all... compared to the price versus value.. the rooms its sooo old and the foundation was dilapidated and it does not suit the name of the hotel or value.. the best by far was the hospitality and the staff. I passed around the place yestarday and I was soooo happy when I saw that the place was renovated and I herd that a new company took over the management. The view from the outside has become bright and full of vitality.. unlike before it was almost like an old woman. I hope that everything inside returns to how it was 10 years ago and to attend parties singing and spending a fun time with friends... all the best and with complete pleasure.. by the way its a greet beautiful dress

The accommodation, service, and professionalism of the staff at the Cecil Hotel in Alexandria went far beyond our expectations. The hotel is exceptionally clean and beautifully authentic, offering a wonderful sense of nostalgia—from the vintage elevator to the signatures of the many famous stars and figures who once stayed here. The rooms are spotless, and the housekeeping team does an outstanding job. The food and beverage experience exceeded our expectations every single day. I wish I could mention everyone by name, but special thanks go to Assistant Restaurant Manager Mr. Mohamed Abdel Aty and Chef Abdel Sattar for their professionalism, warm hospitality, and truly delicious dishes. I felt at home and warmly welcomed at every step. I could keep writing and still not capture how memorable this stay was.

Absolutely beautiful in every way: the staff are kind, smart, attentive; their attention to detail is surpassed by none (a very special thank you to Amr, Ibrahim and Soheir 🥰) . Our room is clean, comfortable, with an amazing sea view. And breakfast everyday was delicious - consistent quality - and the chef came by our table every morning to say good morning and to see if we were enjoying our meal. I feel welcome and cared for - I am so enjoying my stay. Thank you Cecil staff for making our visit to Alexandria an exceptional one.

The best location to see Alexandia and enjoy the view of the Mediterranean! Great value for money. Wonderful service and really nice service teams whether it's the reception, restaurants, or housekeeping. Historical landmark worth visiting over and over again. Rooms are dated though. Wished bathrooms could be renovated.

There is nothing not to like about this place. Clean, spacious, great service and the best location in Alexandria. The only thing to be aware of is that it is right on the Corniche, so if you're a light sleeper you'll suffer from traffic noise until the wee hours. That doesn't bother us and the spectacular view from our balcony, the huge and comfortable room, and prime location would make it all worth it even if we were. The Plaza Hotel Alexandria offers understated yet stylish rooms and suites with sea views, a cocktail lounge, and a brasserie. Situated just one minute from the beach, this business-style hotel provides spacious and well-decorated bedrooms with free WiFi. Guests can enjoy views of Safa Palace or Sanstefano Beach and the Marina from their rooms.
Our stay in the Plaza Hotel was exceptional, the staff was helpful and allowed us early check-in. Madonna from Guest Relations provided us with an upgrad to our rooms and was supportive to our family during our stay.

Location of hotel is excellent. Rooms were ok didn’t like it as furniture was old. The staff were nice. One thing we didn’t like about hotel is that they don’t allow and food or drinks from outside at all so you can’t bring any drinks. I have a young girl who eats only certain food. I had to hide her food otherwise they won’t allow us
Mariam H — Google review
positives: the view is beautiful and the staff is nice negatives: food is below average, the rooms aren’t clean enough, the room always has a smell and sheets have stains, same with the bathroom, they don’t give enough towels (gave 2 to a family of 4) the ac unit is dirty in every room, the ceiling had what seemed to be a moldy spot, they would always make mistakes with food orders and take too long and the food is never good really, and they don’t allow u to order food to the hotel which is ridiculous. would not recommend at all just find a 5 star hotel with similar pricing, there are plenty
Enas — Google review
Ugh, where do I even begin? I've given this hotel multiple chances, and each time has been an absolute nightmare. It's a real shame because the location is fantastic, and you'd expect a certain level of quality for the price. Instead, it's a constant stream of frustration. My check-in was delayed because the room wasn't ready, but when I finally got inside, the smell of cigarette smoke hit me like a wall. There were even old cigarette butts left in the room, and the air conditioning vents were filthy. When I brought it up to the staff, they apologized but no action taken.. i even showed them pictures of how awful the room looked.. And don't even get me started on the rooms themselves. They're tiny, the mattresses are rock hard, and the pillows are completely useless. It's truly a disappointing experience from top to bottom. The elevators are a joke. I was on the 7th floor, and the elevator simply refused to go up there. I tried calling the front desk multiple times, but nobody would answer the phone. I had to trek all the way downstairs just to find out they already knew about the problem and had zero explanation for why I was still given a room on that floor. According to the staff I spoke with—who were actually quite nice—the hotel's owners are fully aware of these issues the hotel is going through, but choose not to do anything about them.
Ahmed K — Google review
The hotel is located in very nice area and has very nice view. The staff in the reception and restaurant were very professional and friendly. Especially, Mohammed Fathi at the front desk and Helmy at the restaurant. The hotel charge was very reasonable. I recommend Plaza Hotel for your next vacation.

Huge problem with hygiene The kettle wasn't clear and the bed i smell the perfume of the earlier guest. The breakfast was good

Extremely bad management reservation lady named enjy made me travel from cairo with wrong rates unprofessional doesn’t know how to handle frustration left and thankfully didn’t stay over there as they are extremely unprofessional or trustworthy with what they say or do clearly didn’t meet any expectations if you want to be humiliated go to this place and they’ll serve you with unhumane manners
Hidi G — Google review
I booked a hotel in Alexandria, Egypt through Priceline, which routed the reservation via Agoda (Booking ID: 856402818). The listing claimed it was a 5-star hotel—Plaza Hotel Alexandria—but it was absolutely nothing of the sort. The property was filthy, unsafe, and completely misrepresented. I wouldn’t have checked my dog into that place, let alone myself. I arrived on May 13, walked into the room, and immediately called Priceline. They connected me to Agoda. I checked right back out within minutes. Despite doing everything by the book—reporting the issue immediately, providing evidence, and making multiple follow-ups—it took 18 days to receive a final “resolution,” which offered no refund and no accountability. This experience was a complete failure in customer care and false advertising. Agoda dragged the issue for over two weeks only to side with the hotel, ignoring the blatant fraud of a 5-star rating on a place that barely qualifies as a hostel. I will never use Agoda again, and I highly advise others to verify hotel ratings independently before trusting what’s listed.

Paradise Inn - Le Metropole Hotel is an elegant hotel with antique-filled rooms and suites, some offering sea views. The hotel was built in 1902 by Greek and Italian architects on a piece of land with a history dating back around 2,000 years. It overlooks the Mediterranean and features classical decorations. Guests can enjoy modern amenities such as free WiFi, satellite television, and daily newspapers in their rooms, which also offer optional sea views.
A truly unforgettable stay at the Metropole Hotel in Alexandria! The colonial architecture and vintage décor are absolutely stunning-like stepping back in time with all the modern comforts. The rooftop is breathtaking, offering amazing views of the sea and city. Huge thanks to Passant and Sherif, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made all the difference. The food and drinks were delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this historic gem! I do not have enough word to express gratitude to the hotel, staff for the incredible experience we had. Absolute 5 star quality of service, facilities, professionalism, and hospitality.

This is a majestic hotel. The grandeur of its interiors invokes an old world charm that no amount of modern opulence can compete with. Its lift, the beauty of its reception, lobby, staircase and the rooms are charming to say the least. The rooftop restaurant is simply amazing and definitely has the best views in all Alexandria. The food is too good and the staff are exceptional. Loving every minute of our stay here.

We loved everything about this hotel. The beautiful room has very comfortable beds and black out shades. Room was also quiet. The hotel is just breathtaking. It is definitely a grand experience! Make sure to ride the old elevator to the roof top to enjoy the view. It is in the thick of Alexandria’s historic downtown, with easy access to the Corniche to walk with Mediterranean views, and historic landmarks.

Le Metropole is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location for visiting Alexandria. The room, elevator, dining area, everywhere is stunning - the definition of decadence. The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially Sara who showed us to our room and explained the facilities. We loved breakfast - a great selection of hot and cold food. The sea view from the room and the rooftop bar was splendid. This was a luxurious stay and we hope to come back and stay again!

We spent the evening at the Skyview at the metropole Hotel in Alexandria. We were met by an extremely lovely young lady by the name of Asmaa Said, she directed us to a table with one of the most magnificent views. She took the time to shed light on the history of the hotel. We travel a lot and have met a number of nice hotel hostesses but not as efficient , professional and dedicated as Asmaa . She is indeed a valuable addition to this first class establishment. We congratulate you on your choice of staff. When it comes to the food, the word to use is simply succulent. Every staff member we met were absolutely amazing. Thank you again.

Vintage style Hotel, with the high ceiling and art. Rooms were clean, bed was somehow small (single bed), service was nice everyone here is friendly, location is at the center of Alexandria and the best thing about it is the roof where you have breakfast, the view is unparalleled. The food is average don’t expect something special. It is great value for money

We arrived at Le Metropole Hotel in Alexandria and were overwhelmed by the charm and elegance. Following a cold welcoming beverage, we were shown to our room. A small balcony offered an intriguing view into the busy city streets as well as an incredible view of the harbour and the Mediterranean beyond. We were invited to a lounge for a complimentary "afternoon tea" which we thoroughly enjoyed. An evening walk through the streets in the area revealed many small shops and a market close by. Day 2 We enjoyed breakfast at the luxurious Sky View Restaurant on the roof of the hotel. What a beautiful view of the harbour surrounded by historic elegance. We returned for dinner and watched the sun set over the city. This was definitely a highlight of our three week stay in Egypt

We were in a tour group. Our room was fine, and had a glimpse of the Mediterranean Sea. On the fourth floor it was quiet. But two other others in our group did not have the same experience. I visited the Four Seasons Beach Restaurant on August 24, 2025, to celebrate my first wedding anniversary with my wife. I had reserved a romantic candlelight dinner on the beach through OpenTable, hoping to surprise her. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Despite clearly mentioning our anniversary during the reservation, we were seated at a plain table while another couple next to us had a beautifully decorated setup. I reminded the waiter twice about my request, but nothing was done. Meanwhile, he passed by foreign guests several times, checking on them, while our table was completely ignored after we placed our order. When I spoke to a supervisor, he only brought us a standard lamp, claiming candles “don’t work on the beach”—yet minutes later, I saw candles lit for the couple next to us. No one checked on us during the meal, and only after we had finished did the waiter return. At payment, I expressed my disappointment and noted that if I had spoken English and presented my Austrian passport, the service would have been different. Suddenly, the attitude changed: I was offered a dessert “as an apology” and invited to return—too little, too late. Sadly, this was a very unpleasant experience. A place that treats its local guests with less care while showing special attention to foreigners does not reflect the luxury standards I expected from Four Seasons. I would not recommend celebrating such an important occasion here.

We had an amazing stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Alexandria. The Double Room Beach Suite was perfect — spacious, spotless, and just steps from the beach. The staff were the real highlight: so friendly, attentive, and always going above and beyond. Housekeeping was excellent, with daily cleaning, fresh fruit, and water. Breakfast at the Beach Restaurant was a delight, with fantastic service from Rawan in particular. Truly a 5-star experience — highly recommended and we’ll definitely return.

We booked a room for our family including our 6 year old son. Upon submitting our arrested marriage certificate we were told that we needed to book a second room, as a married couple of over 8 years with our 6 year son and having stayed in many high end hotels in Cairo the treatment was truly shocking. Appalling that they said it was not accepted as our marriage certificate wasn’t stamped in Egypt despite being married and it being attested in the UAE

It offers 75 rooms and suites with stunning views of the sea, along with amenities such as a private beach, outdoor pool, and fitness center. Guests can also enjoy dining at the hotel's restaurant or coffee shop/cafe. The hotel's staff is highly praised for their professionalism and excellent customer service, making it an exceptional place to stay for a vacation by the sea.
Very clean , Modern and elegant , very friendly staff always smiling and ready to help. In building parking which very good as in other hotels the parking is open air which make the car very hot . The swimming pool is large and the kids pool is separated. The only negative points the sea view is not clear and partial from the high floors and between the buildings for the lower floors , the other issue that the beach is within 4 mints walking distance and it’s an open sea with high waves.

Was there to attend a conference and booked a room, the room was very spacious and luxurious with all amenities provided, the service was nice from all staff, The private beach was probably the best thing about this hotel complete privacy and very clean, all beach services are provided like toilets/towels/bar/ lifeguard. I didn’t get a chance to try the pool maybe next time, they have a private garage (100Egy). The breakfast was amazing the pancakes made by the chef is a must try.

I was there for one day and a night to attend a weeding, the rooms are clean but for me they were a little bit narrow, the food was only tried during the weeding buffet, some items were really delicious others were just ok, but the service was top and the people were all over the place ready to offer help. The swimming pool was heated we spent few hours in my opinion it is a little bit small compared to the number of the rooms. Overall a nice experience

When we arrived to check in, the front desk staff member her name is Mai, acted in an unprofessional and extremely rude manner. As we all know in hospitality, first impressions last. Unfortunately, her behavior gave us a very negative impression of the hotel and its management. It is concerning that such staff are allowed to represent the hotel at the front desk. We had already made an internal booking over the phone, which was confirmed. However, upon arrival, Mai informed us that there was no room available, speaking in a very arrogant tone. When I requested to meet the Front Desk Manager to file a complaint, a room suddenly became available — but at a higher rate than the one I had previously agreed upon via WhatsApp. This raises serious concerns about the integrity, transparency, and professionalism at your hotel. Such practices not only damage the guest experience but also harm the hotel’s reputation. I hope management addresses this issue promptly to ensure other guests do not face similar treatment.

The Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, located in the western necropolis of Alexandria, are an ancient burial site dating back to the 2nd century AD. This historical archaeological site consists of three levels carved into solid rock, with the third level now submerged underwater. The catacombs feature a blend of Roman, Greek, and Egyptian cultural influences, with statues and architectural elements reflecting this fusion.
I would recommend going with a guide. We didn't and we also didn't look at what to expect, so everything was a surprise 😅 On the one hand, it have us a rush of Indiana Jones every time we found a new passageway. On the other hand, I'm sure we would have gotten a lot more out of it with a guide. We went before the crowds (huge recommend, especially if you want good pictures) and even explored places other groups seemed to skip over. If you're going in the summer - the catacombs get very sweaty very fast.

🌟 Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa – A Fascinating Journey Below Alexandria ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a Local Guide and someone who loves exploring ancient wonders, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa were a highlight of our time in Alexandria. This site is truly one of Egypt’s hidden treasures—layered with mystery, beauty, and history. Descend a spiral staircase into a multi-level underground necropolis carved from solid rock. What makes this site so unique is its blend of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman influences—you’ll see Pharaonic motifs sitting right alongside Greco-Roman columns, statues, and reliefs. 🪦 What Stood Out: • The main burial chamber, with stunning carvings and sarcophagi • The Hall of Caracalla, believed to be a mass burial site for soldiers and horses • Intricate mosaic details and unexpected artistic fusion • The air of mystery—you feel like you’ve stepped back 2,000 years underground 📍 Tips for Visiting: • Wear sturdy shoes—some areas can be damp and slippery. • If you can, bring a guide or read up ahead of time—the signage is minimal, and the stories are worth knowing. The site is well-preserved, less crowded, and offers something different from typical temple visits. If you’re in Alexandria and love ancient history, this is an absolute must-see. — Local Guide, seeker of ancient places & underground wonders
Heather S — Google review
The Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa in Alexandria are an absolute wonder and one of the most fascinating historical sites I’ve ever visited. Hidden beneath the bustling city, this ancient necropolis offers a mysterious and captivating journey into Egypt’s Greco-Roman past. As I descended the spiral staircase into the underground chambers, I immediately felt a sense of awe. The combination of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman architectural styles is truly unique — intricate carvings of gods, sphinxes, and mythological figures blend together beautifully. The craftsmanship is incredible, especially considering the site dates back nearly two thousand years. The catacombs are surprisingly extensive, with multiple levels of burial chambers, statues, and wall reliefs. The central tomb, known as the Hall of Caracalla, is especially impressive and beautifully preserved. Although photography is limited in certain areas, just walking through the dimly lit passageways gives you a deep appreciation for the ancient world and how people once honored their dead. The site is well maintained and easy to navigate with guides available at the entrance. I highly recommend taking a guided tour to fully understand the symbolism and history behind the carvings. It’s cool underground, so it’s a great place to visit even on a hot day. The atmosphere is quiet, mysterious, and deeply moving — a true testament to Alexandria’s rich and layered history. If you’re in the city, the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa are an absolute must-see attraction.
Travis O — Google review
The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa is an incredible underground complex where Egyptian and Greek cultures beautifully intersect. Walking through the catacombs, the experience isn’t just about admiring the statues and carvings—it’s about imagining how people built such a place centuries ago. Above ground, you can also see stones and sarcophagi that were excavated from the site. One disappointing thing, though: seeing cement bags stored in ancient burial chambers really shows how little attention is given to preserving such historically significant places. Fun fact: According to story, the catacombs were discovered when a donkey accidentally fell into a hole leading to the site!
Musab K — Google review
Incredible catacombs in the heart of Alexandria. Kom el Shoqafa is a fascinating labyrinth of underground tombs and chambers that blends Egyptian, Greek, and Roman influences. Walking through its narrow passages and seeing the carved statues, reliefs, and burial niches gives a real sense of the skill and artistry of ancient craftsmen. The atmosphere is eerie but captivating, and it’s amazing to think about the history hidden beneath the city streets. A must-visit for anyone interested in archaeology and the mysteries of ancient civilizations.

The exhibits and artifacts span from the Pharaonic era to the Hellenistic heyday under the Ptolemy dynasty, and onward to the Byzantine and Islamic periods. The museum showcases a wide variety of monuments found in Alexandria and its surroundings, including discoveries from underwater explorations.
Nice museum in a lovely old building. Not a massive amount of items but the best stuff is the ancient Egyptian things down in the basement. Ok for an hour and ticket is 220egp.

Nice little museum showing the full length and breadth of Egyptian museum. I wouldn’t call it a must-visit but if you have an hour to spare, it’s certainly nice.

The Alexandria National Museum is definitely one of the must-visit landmarks when you’re in the city. The building itself was once the American consulate, now beautifully transformed into a museum. Each floor showcases artifacts from different historical periods of the region, giving you a clear sense of its rich past. One of the highlights is the collection of underwater relics recovered from the Mediterranean, along with a short video explaining how these pieces were brought to the surface. The museum isn’t very large, so you can easily tour it in about an hour. Tip: Bring your student ID for a 50% discount on the entrance fee.

Good museum that covers the history of Egypt from ancient to relatively modern. A little bit of everything. Clear exhibit labels in English and Arabic. Good air conditioning. Recommended for 1 to 2 hours of visit.

Great place although it's not very big but it has great variety and rare pieces , just the lighting needs to be better and it lacks some arrangement But highly recommended stop to visit

Foreigner ticket 220LE Foreign students ticket 110LE Not big but very educational and fun!! Various relics and detailed instruction👍👍👍 I want to visit here again P.s Watch out for the man who asks for tips - he wants me to give him 50LE😵 P.s. There was a polite cat inside the museum! Super cute🥰

No city has such rich history as Alexandria! You can step into history journey by visiting Alexandria National museum. Absolutely must see...!
Zoran J — Google review
Small and cozy musuem with super friendly staff, a classical baroque interior and easy to navigate floor plan. Bottom floor gives off your more typical greek museum vibe with some pharonic and mostly ptelomic pieces. Nothing you may not have seen before there but could be super worth it for hyper enthusiasts. Has some unique artifacts from the more modern era in the upper floors. Love the attention to both islamic and coptic pieces in their side by side quarters. Overall great experience, recommended.

The Royal Jewelry Museum in Alexandria is a historic palace museum that showcases an impressive collection of jewelry pieces, paintings, and sculptures from the Muhammad Ali dynasty. Housed in the former residence of Princess Fatma El Zahraa, this extraordinary museum features over 11,000 pieces, including royal jewelry worn by members of the Alawite royal family in Egypt.
The Royal Jewelry Museum in Alexandria was fabulous, not only for its dazzling collection, but especially for the building itself, which is a masterpiece of architecture and elegance. There’s also a lovely little shop just downstairs where you can find beautiful jewelry souvenirs. A hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit!

My only complaint is they took my backpack, purse and water without giving me a ticket. Small and cute. The jewelry the Farouk's wore were definitely not understated. Cool stained glass window.

The Royal Jewelry Museum in Alexandria is a beautifully preserved palace showcasing stunning jewelry and artifacts from Egypt’s royal family. With its elegant architecture and sparkling displays, it offers a charming glimpse into the country’s royal past.

It was nice , not up to what I expected of it, the jewellery were nice but what was actually stunning was the walls and windows and architecture
Ibrahim I — Google review
Very beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Stunning collection of jewels, gifts, and royal artifacts from King Farouk and the Muhammad Ali dynasty, displayed inside a former royal palace with impressive architecture. A calm and elegant museum, not too crowded, and easy to do with kids. Take note that strollers are not allowed and they will keep them at the main entrance while you visit. The visit takes about 45 minutes. Entry is 220 EGP per adult for non-Egyptians (free for kids).
Remy N — Google review
Worth a visit. The building is as beautiful as the jewelry. The chess set takes the cake!!
Brit. L — Google review
A fascinating place, not just for its historical jewels but for the mesmerizing wall art. The paintings and gold details, inspired by Rococo and Baroque styles from Egypt’s royal era in the early 20th century, make every room feel luxurious.
